You know. um but yeah, I think it's fun. i That's one of the things that I was excited about moving back about, too, is just getting to do things with you all. And it's really just like I feel like are the people who come are usually the same type people. But I did this time think, okay, how could I extend it? And so I did, like all of you guys that I invited, i was like, why don't you bring one of your really good friends together? Maybe I don't know them as well or other people don't, but it might be cool to kind of just all, you know, in the same walks of life, just kind of get together and meet new people too.

um My win this week is we have been going on walks, After breakfast, we've tried to be consistent about that. I feel like um we used to do that all the time. And I guess just when the kids were younger, we were at home more maybe. And that's just what we did is like went for walks. But we've kind of gotten away from that. So after we eat, we've been going on short little strolls and it's been freezing here. Absolutely cold. But I'm like, even if it's 10 to 15 minutes, it's nice. It resets you, you get some fresh air.

And I'm telling you, he says, I'm not cold. I'm not cold. And it's one of those things where I'm like, it's not a battle. I'm in a fight. I'm just natural consequences. If you get cold, you'll put pants on next time. But literally he's sitting there riding his bike in his shorts. And I'm like, okay, my neighbors are probably judging me, but it's fine.

Motherhood and Friendships

Um, my win of the week is again, since moving back, I feel like that's going to be the thing that I say a lot. Um, but one of my really good friends that I have known basically since I was two, probably, um, she just had her first baby, a little boy. And I have been like, we've talked and stuff like texted and, um, you know, you you never want to like, um, be too forward, but I'm like, I really want to like, man, I'm like, okay, can we make this happen? Yeah, please, please. um So finally we were able to um logistically work work it out and see them. So she came over and um my my kids got to meet him. And yeah, I feel like that was something small, but it just, I think there's something so cool about seeing your, after you've become a mom and then you see your friends become mom. And I looked at her and I was so just like, you are thriving. Like she just looked so natural. You know, I just, I go back to thinking with my first, I'm like, I feel like I was a nutcase. She cried. was like, like, I was just like, you're so chill. Like she, I don't know. It was just really cool to see. And also my kids holding another baby too. I'm like, Oh, should we add a third one?

you step into this new life that you just really would not understand or comprehend until you've been in it. Yes. Almost like this shared sense of just understanding. I feel like i connect to, it's hard to, which I'm not saying she's a new friend, but you just connect to people in a different way when you're a mom. So what I was saying, like making new friends, it's so much easier almost because you just have this shared understanding of the experience and like, oh, me too. And like, you know, I don't know. 100%. Just right off the bat. Yes. It gives you that instant connection.

So if you guys have a event coming up or a Galentine's party, you need to make this. And I know we're doing like savory and sweet. So it is a savory thing, but it's so good. Okay. I saw it on Instagram somewhere. And it's you get two things if the boars and cheese dip. Yes. Spread it out. You do a layer of the fig jam and then you crush up some pistachios, put it on top and then you drizzle it with hot honey and just serve it with crackers. It is literally so good. yeah We had a little New Year's Eve party thing and we made that and that was the hit of the hit of the show. lish I feel like pistachios are like in right now. Yeah.
