Bobbo: godbble gobble gobble Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble. Let's dive right in.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Welcome back to Making Waves, an NFL confidence pool podcast. I'm your host, Mac.

Bobbo: And I'm your host, Bob.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It is Thanksgiving week. It is week 13 of the NFL season. We've got a lot of good food. We've got a lot of good football.

Bobbo: Yum.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We've got a lot of good podcasts coming your way. I'm excited for Thanksgiving. I know my co-host is trying to skip over Thanksgiving, but I'm excited for Thanksgiving.

Mackenzie Forgacs: as yeah As he pulls his little mini Christmas tree into frame here on on the other end of the podcast.

Bobbo: Ho, ho, ho.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But you're still going to celebrate Thanksgiving, right?

Bobbo: Yeah, going to celebrate. I'll eat food. I'll be home with in Michigan with some fam. um i'll you know I'll watch football. But yeah, I mean, yeah, going to watch.

Mackenzie Forgacs: What could be better? Delicious food, Detroit Lions football, what could be better?

Bobbo: um'm

Bobbo: I mean, the winner of that game is basically guaranteed second place in the division. That's a huge game for playoff implications. Whoever loses might be knocked out of the playoffs altogether. Yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Second place in the division?

Bobbo: Yeah, with what's happening in the rest of the division, it's like this is a big game for like positioning. So yeah, while I will celebrate Thanksgiving, I mean, you know, all eyes for me are on November 28th when everyone finally admits it's it's Christmas season, which I've been living by those rules for the last three weeks. So yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: right. Well, at least we have three more days to celebrate Thanksgiving, which I love and I'm looking forward to. We're recording a little early this week. The actual actually the Monday night game has not even happened yet.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And the reason for that is, of course, the holiday.

Bobbo: Uh-huh.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So, yeah, we're we're a little ahead of the game.

Bobbo: Yep.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We don't even know what's going to happen Monday night. And we actually need a giant upset to occur Monday night. Why don't you tell the tell the listeners a little bit about that, Bob?

Bobbo: We could win the Bucco Bucs tonight. We are seven points behind my father, um and we have 10 points.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Chippy, I cannot believe your dad in Mojo Magic, your dad and Mary Jo, always just like are running that league.

Bobbo: they kind of They're kind of crazy with it. My dad has not won this year yet, but he's been very close. Mojo's won once. It was a week that we had it, and then we lost Monday night, and she got it.

Bobbo: But, yeah, we've got 10 points. He is seven above us. Obviously, he's not going to change from the Niners. And there's like four teams between us and my dad, and we're like two points behind both of them or all of them.

Bobbo: So I like our chances if the Panthers can can can give us a little upset this this evening.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah, I mean, I can't imagine many people are going to go with the Panthers unless they are doing what we're doing and just going for broke. But who knows how many they have left?

Bobbo: Yes.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Like if they have more left than your dad, then they would probably stick with the Niners. So, yeah, if the if the Panthers win tonight, I think there's a pretty good chance that we would win the Bucca Bucs.

Bobbo: True.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So everybody, let's pull for a Panthers win.

Bobbo: Let's pull for a Panthers win. And you know what? They, if they win tonight, they're in first place in their division in the South. So they're not a bad team.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No, they really aren't.

Bobbo: They're six and five.

Mackenzie Forgacs: They've surprised me a lot this year. There been a lot of surprises this year, but they have been a very big one for me.

Bobbo: They beat the Packers. They beat some good teams. So your, your home state team um might be, might be your new team to cheer for, to be honest. Who knows?

Mackenzie Forgacs: I don't know if I would go that far, but I'm pulling for them.

Bobbo: Okay. Okay.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Good for you, Panthers.

Bobbo: let's Let's get some bucco bucks, Panthers. Come on. We haven't won in like three years.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah, exactly.

Bobbo: Let's make it happen.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Exactly. Let's do it. We need that money to buy some

Bobbo: Let's do it. Come on. We need the money for for Christmas.

Mackenzie Forgacs: to buy these presents that are coming up here.

Bobbo: Exactly. Exactly. So... They some excitement tonight, and then, yeah, there's a lot going on on this upcoming week with tons of games on Thursday, my boys play Friday, and then a small slate on Sunday.

Bobbo: So playoffs are starting to kind of come into come into form a little bit, and we'll ah well we'll jump into all of them.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Come into focus.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Absolutely. And we have literally all of them. We have all 16 games. There are no buys this week. So we better jump right in, dive right in, if you will. Right away, gobble, gobble, Thanksgiving Thursday.

Bobbo: Nice.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We are kicking it off at 1 o'clock p.m. with the Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions. And now I will say, i guess real quick before we jump in, the format's going to look a little bit different today.

Bobbo: Whoa.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Instead of our typical face-off or arguments, I'm sure there will still be some arguments, even though it's holiday season. What we're going to do is we're going to choose a team.

Bobbo: Oh.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We're going to give you our confidences, and then we are going to tell you what these teams should be thankful for this holiday season as we head into Thanksgiving. So with that, the Detroit Lions are hosting the Green Bay Packers.

Mackenzie Forgacs: If you'll remember, the Packers did best us earlier this year. Yes, Robert, you're raising your hand. What can I do for you?

Bobbo: Yes. Thank you for calling on me. So if I disagree with you, is that the only time I'm saying anything about the game?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yes. So if we agree, since there's all 16, if we agree, you can just say, great, next up. If we disagree, of course, please feel free to chime in with your arguments so we can hear what you're thinking.

Bobbo: And I'm just going to say my confidence level of the game that we agree on.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Perfect.

Bobbo: Okay, great.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Great.

Bobbo: ah Back to you. There's the mic.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah, perfect. Thank you. So yeah, as I was saying, obviously the Packers bested us the very first game of the season this year. I don't think that's going to happen again, especially with this being at home Thanksgiving. This is, of course, a very big game. Interdivisional matchup.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Packers are not a team to sleep on. And honestly, the Lions, our offense has been a little snoozy lately. But I think we're going to get that together, um especially behind the one player that I think we should be most thankful for. And if you watch Sunday's game, you know that is Jameer Gibbs. He very clearly just led our team to victory, single-handedly almost.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Little help with Jake Bates with a stunning 59-yard field goal, but For the most part, it was all on Gibbs' back, and we're going to need a big showing from him against a strong defensive front in Green Bay on Thursday.

Mackenzie Forgacs: i think we're going to be eating that turducken come 4 o'clock p.m., and I'm very excited to watch my boys go to victory Thursday.

Bobbo: Oh, the hell's a turducken?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Enjoy the rest of my day just eating in the turkey and mashed potatoes, and we're going thankful for Gibbs for a big, Big game Thursday leading us to a win. So I've got the Lions.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It is a tight matchup. It is a close one. It is interdivisional, so I'm keeping them low. But I've got them at five.

Bobbo: Wow. Okay. what's What's a turducken, by the way?

Mackenzie Forgacs: A turducken is a turkey on the outside. on the inside, it's a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey.

Bobbo: what are What are you talking about?

Mackenzie Forgacs: You've never heard of this? This is a John Madden classic.

Bobbo: That's not a...

Bobbo: ah Do you eat that in the family?

Mackenzie Forgacs: every Every Thanksgiving at the end of the game when the two players eat the food, they rip off a leg, they're eating a turducken.

Bobbo: Have you ever had that?

Mackenzie Forgacs: I've never had it, but it's it's the tradition for Thanksgiving for the NFL. John Madden himself came up with it, I think, or either came up with it or is the one that brought it in the NFL. And now every time a team wins on Thursday, on Thanksgiving, they eat from a turducken.

Bobbo: Unbelievable. I don't know how I've i've watched Thanksgiving for 32 years.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I don't know either.

Bobbo: I've never, I've never, well, turducken.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Can't believe you didn't know that.

Bobbo: Can't wait to watch someone eat a turducken after the, uh,

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah. Yeah, so they cook a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey.

Bobbo: that feels like it's not possible, but wow, sounds delicious.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It's possible. Look for it on Thursday. Everybody, look for it.

Bobbo: Turducken, okay, you heard it here first. Apparently I heard it here first as well. Good shouts out. Yes, i think it's go to be a great game. I do agree. um i was very close to going the other way, but you know what?

Bobbo: It's the holiday season. You're my best friend.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Excuse you.

Bobbo: And come again.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Excuse you.

Bobbo: Oh, sorry. Did did I stutter?

Mackenzie Forgacs: um No, but I think I misheard you that you said you almost went for the Packers.

Bobbo: Yeah, well, I was definitely considering it. Yeah. But i did end up, it's the holiday season. and I want to make sure that making waves is a unit when we can be.

Bobbo: And I don't want my best friend upset with me. And I do want to cheer for the Lions. And I plan on it because the Packers going to lose.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, thank you.

Bobbo: So I have the Lions for three.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Alright, very manageable. Love it.

Bobbo: Thank you. So.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Moving right along to the second game on Thanksgiving. Some of you are probably going be sitting down ready to eat at 4.30pm Eastern Standard Time at this point. We've got the Kansas City Chiefs at the Dallas Cowboys who just had a big upset against the Eagles.

Bobbo: They sure did. um And this is going to be a good game because both teams had really, really impressive comebacks. The Chiefs were down 20-9, looking like they were going to go below.500 at home against the Colts.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Thank you.

Bobbo: And that would have really put them in a uphill position to even make the playoffs. It looks like their chances of winning the division are like slim to none because the Broncos have beaten them multiple times. They have like a three game lead on them and the tie break.

Bobbo: But the chiefs were just looking like, holy crap, they might miss the playoffs. Vintage chiefs come back yesterday. And the Cowboys. Meanwhile, I was out in the suburbs hanging out with my dad, Mary Jo speaking to them yesterday.

Bobbo: I looked up. It was 21, nothing Eagles. Cowboys finished that game on a 24, nothing run. So miracles happen.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I couldn't believe that they upset them.

Bobbo: I know to keep their playoff hopes alive as well. So now they're five, five and one chiefs are six and five. Both teams look like they have momentum.

Bobbo: I, and don't know what the line is on this. I'm going with the home team on this one. I'm going with the Cowboys. And I think that they, they, I don't have any, any nuggets to back this up, but historically I feel like they win at home a lot on Thanksgiving.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Really?

Bobbo: It's always the Lions at home and it's always the Cowboys at home. Usually my family's just starting to prepare Thanksgiving supper at about 4 PM when that game kicks off and,

Mackenzie Forgacs: Just starting to prepare.

Bobbo: You're starting to prepare. And then usually when the game ends, they're just putting the bird in the oven.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yikes.

Bobbo: So usually I've got about right when the Cowboys game ends, I got about three more hours until I finally get to eat. But one thing that the Cowboys should be, and I'm sure are very thankful for is their brand new receiver, George Pickens, who I just saw on the train ride home.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Very true.

Bobbo: is the number two fantasy quarterback or fantasy wide receiver in all of football. Not on his team behind ey lamb.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Really?

Bobbo: No, no, no, no, no. He's turned into the number one option. He is the number two receiver in all of football. So pickings definitely had a little bit of like an up and down career in Pittsburgh.

Bobbo: Cowboys kind of just pick him up on a pump, picked him up on a whim. It's kind of like getting a side of yams and saying, Oh man, this might be okay. And then it just, blowing your world up. like Pickens has been that for the Cowboys. I think Pickens is going to have a big game against the Chiefs.

Bobbo: They're thankful for him, and I think they're going to be thankful for a win. I've got them at two points um against Patrick Mahomes.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Wow. Okay. So we disagree on this game. um I have the Chiefs winning this game simply due to the fact that it feels impossible to bet against the Chiefs.

Bobbo: Ugh.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Like you said, they were looking down and out. They ended up winning that game against a very, very good Colts team. And I just feel like they're like a cockroach that you just can't kill.

Mackenzie Forgacs: They just hang around.

Bobbo: Okay.

Mackenzie Forgacs: They get it done, especially this is a game prime time. I totally understand your argument of it being at home for Dallas on Thanksgiving, but I don't know something about the limelight for them.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Patty likes to show off and I think he's going to do it again on on Thursday. So I have the Chiefs. I also have them low. I have them at four. So we'll have to try to figure out what we're doing there.

Bobbo: Okay.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But yeah, at least we both kept them low.

Bobbo: okay And you know what? Speaking of a low, um maybe another game that we're going to have pretty low is on Thanksgiving evening, right when me and my family will be sitting down for supper at about 8 p.m.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah.

Bobbo: We've got the Bengals heading into Baltimore. And Matt just made a face because I just gave her some information about 10 minutes ago. I don't think she was she was aware of.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yep. He did. He did.

Bobbo: So, Matt, take it away.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So yeah, Joe Burrow, I know has been kind of battling injury, fighting to come back. They were expecting he potentially was going to come back this last week, but he ended up not getting activated in time.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So my co-host very kindly just told me that he believes that Joe Burrow will be back this upcoming weekend.

Bobbo: Mm-hmm.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah. And on the other end is Lamar Jackson, who apparently is now dealing with a toe injury.

Bobbo: yeah hu

Mackenzie Forgacs: So this just in, this new information for me with Joe Burrow versus Lamar Jackson. So that's obviously going to make a very big difference. Again, we are recording on Monday night, so we don't know a lot with injuries at this current moment in time.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But I'm going to go ahead and proceed and save my confidence as if Lamar Jackson's playing, everybody's healthy, and we're and we're looking good by Sunday. Or I'm sorry, by Thursday. Again, very much can change in this small span of time.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I have the Ravens winning this game. It is at home. It is at night on Thursday night. um The Ravens have been on fire as of late. And I think the one player that they should be grateful for, it's going to surprise everybody, is actually Tyler Huntley.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Because he kicked them off on a five-win streak when their backs were up against the wall. Think all the way back to Week 8. Of course, obviously, its really, they should be thankful for Lamar Jackson. But I'm i'm talking about Week 8. The tides turned.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Jackson was hurt. They had Cooper Rush for a bit. a lot of losses in a row. And you know who they threw in? Tyler Huntley. And he got the job done, unfortunately, sorry, against the Bears, and they have not lost since. So, obviously, they should be thankful for Lamar Jackson. Obviously, they should be thankful for Derrick Henry. Obviously, they should be thankful for Zay Flowers.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But also, they should be thankful for Tyler Huntley because he really turned the tide back in week eight, and they have not lost since. I don't think they win again on Thursday. I'm going Ravens. I'm going six.

Bobbo: there's no one else you could have picked you. you

Mackenzie Forgacs: I told you I could pick all those other people, but he turned the tide.

Bobbo: Yeah, but that was against my team.

Mackenzie Forgacs: sorry. That I wasn't thinking of. I just was thinking outside the box, you know. Everybody's going to think, oh, you're going to say, you know, Lamar Jackson. Oh, Derek Henry.

Bobbo: Right.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Totally. Yeah. But hey, let's give let's give some other guys some credit. It's Thanksgiving.

Bobbo: well Well, I'm not going to give him credit because it was against my team.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Let's be thankful for everybody.

Bobbo: And that's why I had a little bit of a sour face as you were as you were giving that analysis.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, I thought you were giving me a face like, why would you pick him?

Bobbo: Good.

Bobbo: Oh, no, I definitely understand it. I just wish he wouldn't have kicked me below the belt about that one. but you know what?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sorry.

Bobbo: I like it. He hasn't been playing much. I've got the Ravens for four, so pretty similar.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay. All right. For four. Perfecto. Moving right along. You're up. And... I feel like we better agree on this game, but going to leave it to you to tell us about Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles.

Bobbo: Well, we've got two teams with the identity.

Mackenzie Forgacs: On Black Friday,

Bobbo: We've got two teams with identical records going in the complete opposite direction on this pseudo holiday of Black Friday. You wake up, your belly is stuffed, your belt is still at the absolute loosest setting.

Bobbo: You stretch a little bit, you think, ah, it's the Christmas season now. And then you remember, oh my gosh, we've got two eight and three teams set for battle at 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. So yeah,

Bobbo: It's Black Friday, but you know what else it is? It's Bears Friday. And let me tell you, Mac, I was a little disappointed that you had that sports banquet on Friday night, so we couldn't um we couldn't record.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I do have my egg on my face, panther on my ankles, because I did pick incorrectly against the Vikings, and I owe you apology for that.

Bobbo: you know what? Apology accepted, but I'm not really going to take too much of that because you you might not be happy with the next thing I say. But Thank you so much for your apology, and I will keep that close to my heart if if things get a little ugly here in a second.

Bobbo: But my boys, Mac, let me just set the scene. And I know we're trying to go a little faster here, and this is going to – I'm going make up for lost time with what I spend on this game. Go back to early September. My boys were sitting at on too And yeah, your boys really threw egg in our face and pulled down our pants and we were sitting our ankles. And we were owein two We lost to the Vikings and we got smoked by those Lions. Since week two, my Chicago Bears have gone nine weeks.

Bobbo: in nine weeks We have beaten the likes of the Steelers and the Commanders and the Cowboys. And yeah, we've beaten some cupcakes, but the cupcakes on your schedule, you got to beat the cupcake.

Bobbo: And we're sitting here at eight and three. Like never in my wildest dreams did I think this Chicago Bears team with how dysfunctional they've been for the last nine, eight, seven, whatever years they've been. The fact that they're eight and three and it's Thanksgiving and on Thanksgiving morning, I'm to wake up with a first place team.

Bobbo: Slap me silly. So I'm pretty jolly.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Gladly.

Bobbo: yeah Slap me silly, jolly old St. Nick. And you know what? Gosh darn it. I'm sick of holding my optimism under the belt.

Bobbo: I'm sick of me being professional.

Mackenzie Forgacs: You don't hold it under the belt. When have you ever held it under the belt? are you just doing it You're just trying to make me burn another of the four picks, aren't you?

Bobbo: I'm sick of...

Mackenzie Forgacs: Honestly, it's good strategy.

Bobbo: No, you can't use it anymore.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Honestly, it's good strategy.

Bobbo: And you know what? I believe now. I was being a little bit of a Jackars thing.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No way.

Bobbo: we've been like, I truly after yesterday think that my boys could, could make a run at this thing. And that's why after what I saw in the second half against the Cowboys, the Eagles have some chinks in their armor and the bears,

Bobbo: have a guy who knows how to win. And gosh, excuse my French. Gosh, darn it. I think the bears are going to roll into Philly, start the holiday season with a gift for me and the rest of the bears fan. I've got the bears going to nine and three at one point on black Friday.

Bobbo: Get your deals. My deal bears upset, baby.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Unreal.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Unreal. you No.

Bobbo: No.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Who are you thankful for?

Bobbo: what

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sorry. Who are they thankful

Bobbo: Oh my gosh. How much time do we have?

Mackenzie Forgacs: for?

Bobbo: I'm really thinking

Mackenzie Forgacs: You got pick one. got pick one person.

Bobbo: i'm thankful for the guy pulling the strings. I'm thankful for a lot of our players and my quarterback and our running backs and the defense. I am thankful for Benjamin something Johnson.

Bobbo: He... Oh, Matt just flicked me off. That was...

Mackenzie Forgacs: I hate you that you have him. I hate you.

Bobbo: That was not in the holiday spirit.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sorry.

Bobbo: She spits me off. I am thankful for my head coach. We've had Matt Eberflus. We've had freaking, freaking jackass number one, jackass number two, jackass number three. We finally have a competent coach.

Bobbo: I'm thankful for Ben Johnson. He's changed the culture. Bears Super Bowl. Gosh, rev me up. Where's a brick wall I can run through?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Ay, ay, That middle finger, by the way, that was to Ben Johnson. That wasn't to you.

Bobbo: Well, I take his...

Mackenzie Forgacs: That was to him. So you pass that along to him, would you?

Bobbo: I will not. I will take that burden.

Mackenzie Forgacs: la understand the excitement. It feels great when your team is starting to win it's ah It's a phenomenal feeling.

Bobbo: Thank you.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It is. And we need to be realistic here.

Bobbo: oh

Mackenzie Forgacs: the teams The teams that you listed, you were like, we've beaten the likes of the Commanders, the Cowboys. Not, I mean, yes, some flashes of good.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Not great teams. You guys have had, you've got to admit, a somewhat easier schedule thus far.

Bobbo: well Hogwash.

Mackenzie Forgacs: With hogwash.

Bobbo: yeah

Mackenzie Forgacs: I don't, don't get me wrong. I chose this past week. I know we didn't record. I chose them against the Steelers. I think you guys got two more wins in you probably for the season. ah You guys got the Browns.

Bobbo: Out of six.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Obviously you'll beat them. I think you'll split with the Packers. I think you've got some wins coming. But you've got the Eagles. You've got the 49ers. And you'll maybe, depending on, you know, if our boys have locked in the the second seed, then maybe we'll bench some guys week 18 and you'll win against the Lions. Who knows? So maybe two to three.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I really don't see you guys winning both games against the Packers. I really don't see you winning against the Eagles. I really don't see you winning against the forty nine ers There's just some hard games for the rest of the schedule.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And unfortunately, this is one of them starting this Black Friday.

Bobbo: met may

Mackenzie Forgacs: i do have the Eagles winning this game. And I unfortunately, I'm sorry, but I did bump them up because you hadn't moved the Ravens down. So I have them kind of high. I have them at eight.

Bobbo: Oh my God. May I interject real quick?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sure. Actually, wait, let me say one more thing.

Bobbo: Um,

Mackenzie Forgacs: I will say also, I watched obviously the Lions-Eagles game. Eagles definitely do have chinks in their armor.

Bobbo: Thank

Mackenzie Forgacs: I will give you that. Eagles did just beef up heavily their defense. And I just feel like with what happened, the Steelers also have a very solid defense.

Mackenzie Forgacs: That was a very close game.

Bobbo: thank

Mackenzie Forgacs: The Steelers do not have the same offense that the Eagles have. So if you're looking at both teams, really strong defenses in a really close game. And then an offense that is just bar none way above what the Steelers just did.

Mackenzie Forgacs: i mean, to me, that's that's the best comparison you could possibly have from week to week. And it just is leaning in Eagles' favor. And I'm sorry, you wanted to interject, please.

Bobbo: I'm going to be a real Sanderson sister on this, and i' i'm I'm really firm on the Bears.

Mackenzie Forgacs: A real biatch?

Bobbo: I'm really firm on the Bears.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay, well, I have three vetoes left, so I'm going to use one.

Bobbo: Still?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah.

Bobbo: How have you only have how you used one? Okay,

Mackenzie Forgacs: So I'm going to use one and we're going to go with the Eagles. yeah

Bobbo: so let me write Eagles dot, dot, dot, maybe for one. Okay.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I will ah entertain around five.

Bobbo: Wow, Bobby, happy holiday season. You've been working so hard. You've been working so hard. Thanks. That's great.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I would also just like to point out, this is like one of the largest spreads of the week and it's in the Eagles favor.

Bobbo: well

Mackenzie Forgacs: So I'm just going to throw that out.

Bobbo: Well, Vegas must not be watching the Bears very closely because we've got that dog in us.

Bobbo: Something funny?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah. Sorry. All right. Well, I mean, I'm saying all this, I do know I have pants around my ankles already still from the Vikings bears, but I also still have three vetoes left.

Bobbo: Yes. Yes.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So I'm going to use one.

Bobbo: Well, make that make that too because to be a real biatch about this one.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, I'm sure you're going to just make me waste them for the next couple weeks because that's just you don't ever actually think critically when it comes to the Bears.

Bobbo: Always. Hey, always. Remember last year, I was i was all other teams. This year, though, ooh, doggy.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No way. even Even last year, even in previous years, you always choose the Bears.

Bobbo: Ooh, doggy.

Bobbo: No, I like the Bears a little bit, but I'm very realistic.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And I'm not mad. I'm not mad about it, but come on.

Bobbo: I mean, hey, the the the proof is in the pudding.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sure is.

Bobbo: and And that pudding says, we're going to beat the Eagles. Okay, if we beat the Eagles on Friday, you have to lose one of your vetoes. Because that would be two.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Well, yeah, I just used one.

Bobbo: No, like I want to take another one away from you.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No, that's not it works.

Bobbo: If we beat the Eagles and we're nine and three, In Philadelphia, I, excuse me, ma'am, I'm going to have to take another one of those vetoes. That's like, yeah, that's like your, the power, the power is getting to your head and I'm going to need to,

Mackenzie Forgacs: No.

Mackenzie Forgacs: If you beat the Eagles, I'll text you Merry Christmas. How about that?

Bobbo: that's what I would get a text saying, Merry Christmas if we beat the Eagles.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yep.

Bobbo: Nice. That sounds great. Okay. That was a, that was a good, that was a good middle ground there. I don't know how we got there, but yeah, I, I accept. I accept like a text Merry Christmas. And then I'll say, and I'll take one of those vetoes and down to one.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Not how it works. No way.

Bobbo: Amazing.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I need to save those. I need to save those because clearly you're going to pick the bears for the rest of the season. So

Bobbo: As long as you have zero by week 17, I'm okay with it. So I'll just keep on burning those things.

Mackenzie Forgacs: but

Mackenzie Forgacs: I need to say, yeah, I need to save one for when you play the Lions.

Bobbo: And that will that I will be a biatch about that game. But you know what? we could

Mackenzie Forgacs: I know you will, but so will I.

Bobbo: We could talk apples and oranges, tomatoes and tomatoes until the cows come home. But for now, I have Eagles question mark um with a little asterisk next to it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Eagles exclamation point for roughly five question mark.

Bobbo: With a little asterisk. It says veto. um Take one veto for Mac. Okay, great. Thank you for that.

Mackenzie Forgacs: All right. Moving on to Sunday. Everybody's driving home, traveling back.

Bobbo: Mm hmm.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And why not turn on a little football? One o'clock. Kick it off with the San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns.

Bobbo: Why not?

Mackenzie Forgacs: So this is my game. i have a feeling this is going to be a quick one and hopefully we agree.

Bobbo: Yep.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I'm going to go ahead with the San Francisco 49ers on this one. They've been playing good. Shador Sanders has been starting for the Cleveland Browns. He just started this past weekend.

Mackenzie Forgacs: He will be starting again this upcoming weekend. And I think they actually did fairly decent this past weekend against the Raiders.

Bobbo: Yup.

Mackenzie Forgacs: They they won twenty four to ten So they did they did really well in that.

Bobbo: yeah

Mackenzie Forgacs: But obviously, different caliber of a game here against the 49ers. I think they will have no problem getting it done. And for the 49ers, I think what I'm going to say that they should be most thankful for is um some health, getting some health back as we head towards the end of the season. They've been struggling with a bit of injuries. Of course, Brock Purdy's been out a bunch. George Kittle's been out a bunch. Christian McCaffrey's never healthy.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It seems like they are starting to get a lot of their guys back and just in the nick of time as we head into the end of the season. So they should be thankful for health this holiday season as we head into the playoffs.

Bobbo: Okay, I like that. you're You're all creative with yours. I'm not very creative with mine.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I'm trying. I'm trying to mix it up because I think it'd be easy to just pick the studs, the stars, you know. Yeah,

Bobbo: It would be easy for sure. So health, you know what? I like that. They should be thankful for health.

Mackenzie Forgacs: they're going to be thankful for their health. Next up, one o'clock.

Bobbo: Oh, did you say what you're doing for them?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, I'm going Niners and I'm going

Bobbo: Okay, I'm 9ers at 11, so we're pretty close.

Mackenzie Forgacs: All right, next up we have the Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans.

Bobbo: Yeah, I'm to save a little bit of time that I spent yapping against about about my boys against the Eagles. I think this is going to be another fairly easy game, but strangely enough, I don't have it very high because there's a lot of easy games at the end of Sunday, and I should be careful saying easy because upsets galore has been going on the NFL recently, but Jags have been playing some better ball. They've been finding ways to win, and I believe the Jags are currently in a playoff spot. They are Second in the AFC South, and their record is the Jags are seven and four So the Jags are a solid team.

Bobbo: um Titans, not a super solid team. They've been finding ways to lose. Jags have been finding ways to win. And speaking of the Jags, something going off of ah my co-host here, something non-player that the Jags should be thankful for this Thanksgiving season is the fact that they're back in North America playing football again, they, they were across the pond for what felt like about a month with all those England games.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay.

Bobbo: And they historically, I saw some stat, some nugget, hope you're hungry. home

Mackenzie Forgacs: um No, no, no.

Bobbo: I saw this nug that they historically do not play well in London, even though they are always there for at least two or three games. So the fact that they're back,

Bobbo: on American soil, and winning games again. I think that's something to be thankful for for them. and i am going to go Jags, and I am going for six against the Titans.

Mackenzie Forgacs: All right. I agree with all that. I've got Jags. I've got them a little higher. I've got them at 10. ten

Bobbo: Ten. Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Whoa, whoa, Okay. Perfect. So we are moving right along. And we have next up the Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts. And this is is kind of a tough game. At first glance, I put it pretty high. I ended up moving it down a bit.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But then we've had to kind of Readjust some things just based on lower ones. So this is scary one for me personally, because the Texans have been looking pretty good, a little bit more like what we've seen in previous years.

Bobbo: Mm-hmm.

Mackenzie Forgacs: The Colts, of course, phenomenal team. They've been doing great all season long. um I feel like this is, of course, going to lean in the Colts' favor simply just based on what they have been doing. But the Texans are not a team to sleep on. They're six and five They're doing a really good job. They just beat the Bills pretty, not I wouldn't say handedly, but they they were able to to really kind of shut Josh Allen down, which is a huge thing. So defensively, this is a team to be...

Mackenzie Forgacs: feared um with that though i'm still gonna go with the colts this is at home for them and the reason i'm gonna go with them is because of the person that they should be thankful for i know i've been getting creative but this one you've just gotta hit it on the money jonathan taylor unreal He has been, oh, Danny Dimes, also Danny Dimes.

Bobbo: Oh.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But Jonathan Taylor has been unreal in rushing yards.

Bobbo: Great call.

Mackenzie Forgacs: He's already over 1,000 rushing yards for the season. It is week 13.

Bobbo: Boom.

Mackenzie Forgacs: That is insane.

Bobbo: Boom.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I feel like on average, hitting a 1,000-yard rushing season in the entire season is something that running backs strive for. So the fact that he's already there by week 13, I mean, he's just having a phenomenal year.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Anybody who has him on fantasy football, good for you because you are probably winning your league right now. I know Carly is in ours, so –

Bobbo: The checks out.

Mackenzie Forgacs: definitely He's definitely doing a lot for you. And I'm hopeful that his running can go through that Houston defense. It can really open some things up for Danny Dimes.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I'm going Colts. I'm going probably way too high. So I would definitely look at going down with this if you would like, but I'm going with them at seven.

Bobbo: Seven. All right. I had Colts at five.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay. So not that far off.

Bobbo: Not that far off at all. I like it. And I like the Jonathan Taylor shout out because sometimes you just got to go with the big boy and he's, he's been the big boy all year. So I like it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sometimes you gotta go with it. And I think it all starts with the run game.

Bobbo: It always does. It all starts in the trenches.

Mackenzie Forgacs: All starts in the trenches.

Bobbo: And speaking of trenches, Thanksgiving, eating all that meat, and a couple teams that don't have a lot going on in the trenches, Saints traveling to Miami to play the Dolphins. And this is my game, so I'm going dive right in.

Bobbo: um Yeah, this is one of those games you kind of see and you're like, blech, blech, pumpkin pie, blech, blech.

Mackenzie Forgacs: You don't like pumpkin pie?

Bobbo: Just something that, blech, I don't like the consistency of like just the pumpkin stuff, blech.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Not at all? Or like, can you take a few bites?

Bobbo: No, I like, it's weird because I like pumpkin flavored. Like I like pumpkin bread at a lot and I like pumpkin cookies, pumpkin pie.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Mm-hmm.

Bobbo: It's like the, like the wet can sit like the wet and like the cold consistency.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Whip.

Bobbo: And then you put whipped cream on top.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Whip. You put the whip cream.

Bobbo: Just exactly. You put some whipped cream on that wet. um um I had that wet fricking pumpkin pie piece.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Pie.

Bobbo: And yeah, just, put me out back and let me sleep out with the, with the, with the pets out back. Cause I'm just not, I'm just not interested in pumpkin pie. I don't know why pets are sleeping out back. I'm just pumpkin pie is throwing me off. I don't like pumpkin pie.

Mackenzie Forgacs: OK, all right, fair enough.

Bobbo: And I don't like the saints. I don't like the saints and dolphins game. Cause it's like, it's a trap game. Cause saints are are not good. And the Dolphins love screwing us. So it's just something that you don't love seeing.

Mackenzie Forgacs: True.

Bobbo: But anyways, I do have the Dolphins.

Mackenzie Forgacs: True.

Bobbo: Dolphins have been a little better recently. ah They've won a couple games. Saints are still the Saints. And I think they might be tanking for a quarterback because they still don't have one. I feel like since Breeze has left, they have been constantly searching for a quarterback. They tried Jameis Winston, who, sorry for the PTSD, you guys won.

Bobbo: But they tried Jameis Winston for a while. They tried Rattler. They tried Derek Carr. None of the quarterbacks are sticking. They need a quarterback. I think they might be tanking. Dolphins, um they're not out of the playoffs. going to make it. But um one thing I do think that they are probably thankful for this Thanksgiving season is Jalen Waddell. They've been struggling with a lot of injuries. Tyree Kill has been out basically all season. Two has been on and off hurt with all the head stuff going on the last couple of years. And the model of consistency for a guy that just gets it done is Jalen Waddle. He waddles around, he gets the touchdown and does the cool, the cool ah penguin dance.

Bobbo: And he has been, he's been the model of health for that team. So um I got the dolphins winning in the pumpkin pie bowl and I've got them at a comments level of eight.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, wow. Okay. I also have the dolphins. I have them low simply because like you said, they screw us a lot. Um, but I have them at three.

Bobbo: Okay, is it because it's a pumpkin pie game?

Mackenzie Forgacs: because it's a pumpkin pie game. And it's because, I don't know I know that they haven't found a lot at quarterback yet for the Saints. But sometimes a newer quarterback can throw people off. And Tyler Shook has just started two weeks ago. He won one. He lost one.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I don't know.

Bobbo: Yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Sometimes it can it can throw things off. So it just gets a little a little funky.

Bobbo: Gets a little funky.

Mackenzie Forgacs: A little funky funky.

Bobbo: I feel that. I feel that. And honestly, speaking of speaking of funky,

Mackenzie Forgacs: um But, yeah. Speaking funky and new quarterbacks that throw people off.

Bobbo: take it away. You got it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We got the Atlanta Falcons at New York Jets. Now, if I actually don't mind pumpkin pie, but for people who don't like pumpkin pie, I would imagine this is also a pumpkin pie bowl. Not a great game.

Mackenzie Forgacs: ah The Falcons, meh. The Jets, bur not very good at all.

Bobbo: Matt.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Um... Yeah, this is just a tough game of some not great teams. Falcons are only four and seven. They're third place in the NFC South. I mean, just not doing great. But you know who they should be thankful for?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Kirk Cousins coming in and playing like Kirk Cousins does. We love Kirk Cousins. He went to MSU.

Bobbo: We do go white.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Go green. And it was really unfortunate to see them bench him. i don't know. Did you ever watch Quarterback, that NFL series on Netflix?

Bobbo: I did watch that. He's a likable guy.

Mackenzie Forgacs: He's a really likable guy. I love Kirk. And it's good to just see him back out there. He came back out, beat the Saints. And they needed that. They needed that zhuzh. They needed that big beef up there because they were on like a five or six game losing streak.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Kirk comes in. He gets the dub for him. And they should be thankful for that. I think he's going to do it again this weekend. Don't think it's going to me a great game. I've got it pretty low just because I don't fully trust the Falcons because it's kind of a battle of two not great teams. But I still do have the Falcons traveling to New York, winning this one.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I have them at a confidence level of one.

Bobbo: What is happening with our conference levels? I've got the Falcons for nine.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay, wowza.

Bobbo: We're, uh... I mean, hey...

Mackenzie Forgacs: We're kind of all over the board today.

Bobbo: we're I guess it's what happens when we don't spend time looking at the games at all, huh?

Mackenzie Forgacs: That that could do it for sure.

Bobbo: Also, what is judge?

Mackenzie Forgacs: ah little zhuzh.

Bobbo: Yeah, what's judge?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Like a little oomph, a little something, a little a little spice.

Bobbo: Oh, little something-something. A little off. A spice.

Mackenzie Forgacs: A little zhuzh.

Bobbo: Okay, a little judge. Well, hopefully... Kirk gives them more zhuzh than you think here because 9-1, that's a big difference. But we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah, we will. We will. maybe Maybe we'll both do a little research. Some things will become clearer by the weekend again. It's only Monday, everybody. Calm calm it down.

Bobbo: It's Monday. yeah Hey, call me your jets, WaveRiders. We got this. We got this.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We got this.

Bobbo: We got it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: This next game, actually, there's going be a lot to see what shakes out in the coming days.

Bobbo: Relax.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We've got the Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Bucs.

Bobbo: Yeah, now that I'm looking at my confidence, it's way too high for this one because I was watching last night and Baker Mayfield did get hurt, but I heard that reports are that it's not as serious as they thought and he is probable that he'll still play.

Bobbo: Jacoby Brissett, I think I saw that on my phone when we were...

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, really? did not hear the probable part. I did hear it was not as bad as I thought. I did also know that he was in a sling. So I did not hear probable part.

Bobbo: Yes, I did see that. It says suffers low-grade strain in non-throwing in, in non-throwing shoulders. So I don't know what that means. Um, we will operate under the impression that he plays for now.

Bobbo: If he doesn't play, this will change completely.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay.

Bobbo: Cause I would go, if it's Teddy Bridgewater from what I saw last night, I would absolutely think the, uh, the Cardinals are going this game for now. I got the bucks bouncing back. Uh, is this my game or is this your game?

Mackenzie Forgacs: This is you. Not

Bobbo: Okay, perfect. I'll continue on then. Um, Bucs started five and one They are now six and five So they're 1-4 in their last five. So Bucs are struggling a lot, and they looked really bad.

Mackenzie Forgacs: good

Bobbo: Even when Baker was in there, they were getting completely just destroyed on every facet of last night's game up until his injury at halftime. um Cardinals are playing okay. Jacoby Brissett's solid.

Bobbo: But for the Bucs, I was going to say they – something to be very thankful for was Baker, but the last couple weeks, he's been a little down and out. So I'm going to switch it up a little bit and say something to be thankful for, for the bucks is with Mike Evans being injured and Chris Godwin being injured and Kay Dotton being injured is their rookie receiver out of the Ohio state university.

Bobbo: A Mecca. Buka has held down the fort.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Good one.

Bobbo: He has been, They're number one receiver all year, and he has not missed a game. He's been healthy all season. So amidst all the craziness and receiver injuries, Egbuka has not only played, he has been a stud.

Bobbo: So um if Baker plays, I've got the Bucs winning at home and bouncing back.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Great one.

Bobbo: I had them at 10. What do you think?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Whoa. Holy smokes. Okay.

Bobbo: ah youth

Mackenzie Forgacs: So we took two different approaches. I operated under the assumption that Baker was not playing this weekend.

Bobbo: Okay. Okay.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So I have them at two.

Bobbo: Whoa.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Um, because of that. So once again, we are pretty far off and a lot will become clearer in the coming days, depending on who's playing and who's not.

Bobbo: Mac.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Of course, if Baker plays, I say for sure, let's bump it up a bit. Um, but yes, if not, that does scare me having Teddy Bridgewater playing.

Bobbo: Mac. Our last two games are nine and 10 for me and one and two for you. Are we okay? Okay.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Well, I think we're going to get on track with the first or no, I'm sorry. We have one last game of the one o'clock slate. I have a feeling we're going get on track here. We've got the Los Angeles Rams at Carolina Panthers.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And I got to say, I've actually been thinking about this for a bit. And the Rams, I think we are potentially looking at a Super Bowl team. Superbowl winning team in the Los Angeles Rams.

Bobbo: Yep. Yep.

Mackenzie Forgacs: i've been thinking about this the past couple weeks. It's become clearer and clearer as it, as it unfolds, they are just, when I think of the teams that have lost close games or, or lost games that they shouldn't have these like flute games that have been weird and and they've just lost, for example, the bills just losing this past weekend, like,

Mackenzie Forgacs: Things that shouldn't be happening for a team that you're anticipating to win the Super Bowl. a I just don't find that in the Rams. They keep continuing to impress on every single level of the game, on defense, on offense. I think there's a really good chance that they could be our Super Bowl winners this year.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And it's they're just looking like, to me, they're looking like the team to beat.

Bobbo: Completely agreed. I think, yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I can't find a weakness in them.

Bobbo: Yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So all that to say, i mean, they've got a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Of course, I've got to give a quick little shout out to my boy, Matty Staff. Obviously, former Lion. Really just want great things for him.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Anytime he's not playing the Lions, I am fully in his corner. I've still got a little shirzy with his name on it. So I think they should be thankful for for Stafford.

Bobbo: five

Mackenzie Forgacs: He obviously led them. He got the Super Bowl ring that first year there. And I think there's a really good chance that they get another one or at least get very, very far this year. So with that being said, I definitely have the Rams this weekend and I have them for the highest level of confidence in

Bobbo: oh Well, you said maybe we're going to be on the same wavelength here. I got them for seven. So we're no we're still not quite there. Yeah. Yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No way. We are.

Bobbo: Maybe

Mackenzie Forgacs: We are way off.

Bobbo: maybe i just got a lot of respect to the maybe i just got a lot of respect for the Panthers all of a sudden. I don't know what's going on. Maybe I'm just trying to put some good juju that they they win us the Bucco Bucks tonight.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Maybe, maybe, but let's separate the weeks. I don't know.

Bobbo: Holy smokes. Well, you know what? We are way off. And speaking of Way off man, JJ McCarthy and Darnold one year to the next for Vikings quarterbacks.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Wow.

Bobbo: And that's exactly the first game that we are covering in the afternoon window. We've got the ice cold Vikings traveling to Seattle to play the Seahawks. And this is, this is where they get pretty high for me.

Bobbo: Just an FYI. So I'm hoping I'm looking at what you have. You have some high ones left. So I think we might be starting to gear towards, towards the same wavelength here again.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I have some high ones left.

Bobbo: Yeah, Vikings, I mean, holy smokes. J.J. McCarthy is looking like he is the bust of all busts recently, unfortunately, for him and the Vikings, and not unfortunately for me and Mac and the NFC North.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah.

Bobbo: And he never hoped for a rookie to be terrible, obviously. He's a Michigan guy, but, man, he looks bad. And Darnold is just counting his dollar bills.

Bobbo: Dollar, dollar bill, y'all, in Seattle. And they keep doing their thing. They're like The what?

Mackenzie Forgacs: He's crushing it.

Bobbo: i was crushing it, yeah.

Mackenzie Forgacs: He's crushing it.

Bobbo: they're crushing it. And one thing that the Seahawks should be thankful for this holiday season is not Sam Darnold. It's not the defense. It's not the Charbonnet and, and, and Kenneth Walker duo.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Walker.

Bobbo: It's not a JSN being the number one receiver in football, which that would have been the really easy one to go for. And now that I'm saying this, I really wish i would have said JSN. Cause I just looked it up when you said Jonathan Taylor.

Mackenzie Forgacs: You should.

Bobbo: I looked up the,

Mackenzie Forgacs: Smith and Jigba is insane.

Bobbo: He's got 1,400 yards receiving already.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No way. I have him in fantasy. Thank goodness.

Bobbo: Well, that's why you're probably you're probably looking looking pretty good for fantasy as well. um

Mackenzie Forgacs: I'm not looking that good, but I'm looking better than you, think.

Bobbo: Oh, that was that was a stray bullet.

Mackenzie Forgacs: No,

Bobbo: That was the third stray bullet I've taken this episode in 45 minutes.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I just... I just mean... just mean I think I'm looking better than you. i just...

Bobbo: Hey, you know what, guys? Hey, you know what, y'all? I'm not looking great, but thanks a lot.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I think it's just a fact based on the record.

Bobbo: Speaking of thankful, thank the Lord I'm looking better than Bob in fantasy. Holy smokes. ah Yeah, so JSN's great, and I'm really happy you have him on your team, Matt. Something I think the Seahawks are thankful for every year is the 12th man.

Bobbo: And just that Seattle crowd, I was just looking up things when we were going through the last game.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Good one.

Bobbo: Seattle has lost one home game this season. Some seasons, they probably lose zero home games. I think in all of football, that is right up there with the best home field advantages. And that's why they need to find a way to win the division. Because if Seattle has home field advantage, that is going to be scary. And that will continue to be a huge advantage for them. So the 12th man in JSN is,

Bobbo: On top of the fact that J.J. McCarthy has been shucking it up is why I've got the Seahawks, speaking of 12th man, winning at a confidence level of, speaking of 12th man, 12. Okay. Well,

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay. I also have the Seahawks and I have them at 15.

Bobbo: okay I like it. I like it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Closer. Closer at least.

Bobbo: Closer. It's closer. And speaking of closer, ah got no transition for that. Bill's traveling to Pittsburgh. Dang it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It's closer than Minnesota going to Seattle. So that's closer. Boom.

Bobbo: There you go, nice.

Mackenzie Forgacs: You tried to steal the transitions back.

Bobbo: I know, you're the you're the transition queen for a reason.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It was just that one week. I was pretty off. I don't.

Bobbo: yes

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yeah.

Bobbo: You're the transition queen for a reason. You got you got the you got your job back.

Mackenzie Forgacs: oh Well, before we do that real quick, it is time for the first word from our sponsors for this very, very special holiday episode.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We're ready for Thanksgiving.

Bobbo: I was never imagining that you were gonna do this.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I saw that we were past the four o'clock slate and I figured I got to sneak it in.

Bobbo: Yeah, thank you so much for sneaking it in. in Do a dollop, do, do a dollop Thanksgiving is here and the food is good, but you need a little to jazz it up. Aunt Sue and Mom, too, are making food, but boy, oh boy, it doesn't taste good.

Bobbo: Do a dollop, do, do a dollop daisy. Dollop daisy. Making your Thanksgiving meals taste better since 1936. Take a dollop, put it on your pumpkin pie. Take a dollop, put it on your mashed potatoes. Take a dollop, put it on your angel food cake. Do a dollop of Daisy.

Bobbo: Put it on anything. dooooo Do a dollop of Daisy. can for two cans for Get it at your local

Mackenzie Forgacs: Wow! What a steal. Two cans for $5.30 and one for $4.69. It's only like a dollar more.

Bobbo: a

Mackenzie Forgacs: Also, does it come in a can?

Bobbo: I don't know.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I think it comes in like a tub.

Bobbo: I think it definitely comes in the tub.

Mackenzie Forgacs: That's pretty good. Honestly, it was pretty good when you were like Aunt Sue and Mom too making bad food. That's good.

Bobbo: Yeah, but then it got, and then I, I, I hit, I hit the peak and then I just kept going and I was tumbling.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Classic, classic us. You just keep going past your prime.

Bobbo: What, it what is dollop? What is Daisy?

Mackenzie Forgacs: I do the same thing, so don't you worry.

Bobbo: Is that sour cream?

Mackenzie Forgacs: What's that?

Bobbo: Is Daisy sour cream?

Mackenzie Forgacs: It is sour cream, so sour cream on your pumpkin pie might not be the best move. I think you were trying to think of like kuhwip, but...

Bobbo: Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to think of. Also, why'd you say cool whip?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Have you ever seen that Family Guy episode?

Bobbo: No, cool whip.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Kuhwip. Kuhwip. yeah

Bobbo: That's exactly what I was looking for. Dang it. Well, you know what? I guess some sour cream on your pumpkin pie wouldn't make it much worse in my opinion.

Mackenzie Forgacs: You could, yeah, I mean, you could, I guess. I think it would be a lot worse, but

Bobbo: Yeah, well, when you make something bad even worse, then maybe it's not even worse.

Mackenzie Forgacs: maybe it's not that bad.

Bobbo: ah Thanks for that. And thanks, hey Daisy.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh my goodness.

Bobbo: If you if you're...

Mackenzie Forgacs: Yes. Thank you, Dalba Daisy, for making food taste better.

Bobbo: Yep,

Mackenzie Forgacs: um

Bobbo: yep and you know what? Any families listening in, if you're in a bind, you need a little something, grab some Daisy. $4.69 or $5.30 for two.

Mackenzie Forgacs: 5.30 for Super cheap. You might as well get two, honestly.

Bobbo: Might as well get two at that point.

Mackenzie Forgacs: ah Oh, my goodness. All right.

Bobbo: Bye.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Well, with your dollop of daisy, sit down with some football and some dips or whatever you eat it on for the Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers for 25 p.m.

Mackenzie Forgacs: on Sunday. um Like we said, you know, the Bills, they had a bit of a rough week last week. They lost to the Texans. They've had some fluke weeks. I'm not going to lie. Some some losses that we didn't really necessarily believe that they should have had. But I think they're going to right the ship this weekend.

Mackenzie Forgacs: They are playing a very, very solid defense in the Pittsburgh Steelers, as you know, and you can attest to that the Bears just played and won. Congrats on that.

Bobbo: Thank you so much.

Mackenzie Forgacs: But yeah, tough defense. I think one thing to watch here is the that Aaron Rodgers is injured. um He was aiming to play against the Bears, so I'm assuming he will be back against the Bills. But who knows? It's definitely something we want to watch for.

Mackenzie Forgacs: All of it to say, I do believe that the Bills are going to win this game. And I think the reason they're going to win this game is the reason that they should be thankful is their defense. Their defense has been playing really, really solid.

Mackenzie Forgacs: opponents are averaging only 22 points per game as compared to like putting up they're putting up close to 30 points per game i mean they've got some games where they held people to 10 held them to 9 held them to 13 these weren't the best of teams these were maybe some more of the cupcakes but holding any team to single digits in the nfl or below is is pretty solid so think the bucks or i'm sorry i think the bills defense is going to help them out Of course, they've got their studs on ah offense and Josh Allen at the helm, but I think the Bills are going to do it, and I've got them at nine.

Bobbo: Okay. We're still trying to catch that wavelength. I've got the Bills at 13. So we're we're getting a little closer, but hey, we're we're in it. We're in it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: We're not quite there.

Bobbo: Not quite there, but hey, we're we're trying our best.

Mackenzie Forgacs: That's okay.

Bobbo: in

Mackenzie Forgacs: We're getting there. We're getting there.

Bobbo: And that's okay. And speaking of trying their best, the Raiders are continuing to try their best every week.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Raiders, they just try their best, don't they?

Bobbo: yeah're They're continuing to try their best every week and continuing to come up short, but hey, they're trying their best and I think another game they'll try their best and come up short is on Sunday against the Chargers in Los Angeles. I'm not going to take a lot of time on this. We said we were going try to keep it short. We're at 54 minutes. I've got the Chargers um in very dominating fashion.

Bobbo: The Chargers this year, coming off a bye, have been very solid. I think they're 8-4. And four and a kick a a guy on their team, I almost just spoiled my – my ah thing that they're they're thankful for is their kicker.

Bobbo: Kicker, his last name is Dicker, Dicker the Kicker.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Picker the kicker.

Bobbo: He is the number one ranked accuracy ah in in terms of accuracy kicker in the league. He also so happens to be on four out of my eight fantasy football teams, which is great for me. um And he has gotten them out of a couple couple sticky situations with clutch kit kick clutch kicks. um I don't think he's going to have to do that against the Raiders on Sunday. but having a kicker as Max saw yesterday with Bates, having a good kicker really comes in handy, and and Dicker, the kicker, has been the best in the biz all year. So I think that's something that um Herbert and Harbaugh have been and will continue to be thankful for. I've got the Chargers on Sunday at a confidence level of 15. Okay,

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay, 15. I also have the chargers. i have them at 11. All

Bobbo: okay. okay

Mackenzie Forgacs: right. Next up, Sunday night. Thanksgiving is over. People are feeling sad. It's Sunday night. You're getting ready to go back to work.

Bobbo: Oh, come on.

Mackenzie Forgacs: For a full week. I hate to even put that in the atmosphere, but you know what's going to make it better? You turn on a little bit of football. You watch the Denver Broncos take on the Washington Commanders. And you know what I should have done? I'm actually going to steal it from the last one. is I should have said the defense here for the Broncos as something they should be thankful for.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I'm going to go back. I'm going to erase that from the Bills. Just be thankful for Josh Allen. For the Broncos, you absolutely should be thankful for the Denver Broncos defense. They are third in the NFL in points against at averaging about 17.5 per game. They've been doing a phenomenal job on defense and just locking stuff down. And it shows. They are nine and two They are first place in the AFC West.

Mackenzie Forgacs: They are doing a phenomenal job this season at everything. Offense, defense, Bo Nix, really impressed with his gameplay this year. But that defense, I mean, holding teams on several occasions. Let's count them. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...

Mackenzie Forgacs: three four five six Six, seven out of their nine wins, they have held teams to under 20 points.

Mackenzie Forgacs: That is pretty impressive to do in the NFL.

Bobbo: That's impressive.

Mackenzie Forgacs: And these are good teams too, right? We're talking about the Eagles. We're talking about the Colts. We're talking about the Texans. So these are pretty solid teams. Great job on defense there.

Mackenzie Forgacs: All of it to say, I think that this is going to be an okay game. The Commanders have not been who we believe that they were last year, unfortunately.

Mackenzie Forgacs: um So i I do think the Broncos going to win pretty handedly here. I've got them at 13.

Bobbo: Okay, nicely done. This is our close to win yet, Mac. I got him at 14. Maybe we're figuring it out after all.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Maybe we are. And what do you think? Maybe we can figure it out for the final game. I know we're not going get any ding, ding, dings because I know what you have left and I know what I have left, but hopefully still pretty close for this final matchup of Thanksgiving weekend.

Bobbo: We're pretty dang close. And speaking of pretty close, you were pretty dang close from getting out of this episode without having to do an ad. But... Don't think I would forget about that. We need a second ad, especially for this holiday episode. So, Mac, who's our second sponsor of the episode?

Mackenzie Forgacs: Okay, our second sponsor of the episode for Thanksgiving 2025 is brought to you by the soundtrack for Wicked.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Wicked part two for good in theaters now. Get your tickets and get your access to your CD, your album, anything you need for the world-renowned soundtrack.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Songs like Popular. Popular. You're gonna be popular. Other songs like For Good from Wicked 2.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I have been changed for good. And don't forget about the stunning Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande rendition of Defying Gravity.

Mackenzie Forgacs: think I'll try.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I think I'll try. Defying gravity. Get both albums on the same soundtrack for this limited time Black Friday deal.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Dual packaging for only $19.99.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Wicked. Get your tickets now.

Bobbo: Right when you said Wicked, I knew. i was like, she's going to start singing a song. and I was like, oh maybe she's not. And you said songs like, and I thought, she's going to sing multiple songs.

Bobbo: Wow, Mac, that really gave us, I feel like, a really nice, realistic taste of what that soundtrack sounds like. All three of those sounded exactly, I'm sure, like it sounds like on the soundtrack.

Bobbo: And if that doesn't get fans...

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh my god. My stomach.

Bobbo: if that doesn't get our fans If that doesn't get our fans to buy that soundtrack, I don't know what possibly could.

Mackenzie Forgacs: like could I couldn't get the rose up. Don't I really sound like Ariana Grande in Cynthia Erivo?

Bobbo: That was honestly, I think better. That was so good, Mac.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I probably should be in that movie, honestly. Shoot.

Bobbo: Yeah, maybe they'll hear this and be like, oh, maybe she can come to Broadway and at least like be a part of that.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh my gosh.

Bobbo: Wow. Nicely done, Mac. That was special. I'm so happy I got a sneak peek of that album. That was so good. That was so good.

Mackenzie Forgacs: I couldn't look at you. couldn't look at

Bobbo: I couldn't look at you because I was like, she's going to be looking at the screen very seriously. And I'm not going to let it. I'm not going to be able to take that seriously, but great job, Mac.

Mackenzie Forgacs: you.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh my gosh.

Bobbo: Wow. Dollop Daisy and wicked to soundtrack to, to spice up your Thanksgiving holiday.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Thank you.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, we really are seeing it this Friday and I cannot wait.

Bobbo: Wow. Well, I'm so excited for you to watch the bears beat the Eagles and then watch wicked two right afterwards.

Bobbo: And you know what? that, that really brought us to a great ending point here. We got the giants and Patriots and as Mac alluded to, got a sneak in alluded. Um, my last confidence is 16. So I'm the most confident in the 10 and two Patriots to beat the two and 10 giants. I'm assuming you're a little less confident because the giants gave the lions a run for their money yesterday. They also gave my boys a run for their money a couple weeks ago. And, um,

Bobbo: They give a lot of teams a run for their money, but the Patriots are at home. This is Monday night. And no offense to the Patriots fans, and I know people have said the Bears have had an easy schedule. I think this is a good one to end on and all good blood in New England from me here in Chicago. But I think the main thing that the 10-2 Patriots should be thankful for this holiday season is an unbelievably easy schedule.

Bobbo: to get them to 10 and two.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Totally.

Bobbo: So I was just doing a peek. I was doing a peek. I'm just going to run through these wins real quick. They've beaten. So they lost to the Raiders to start the season. They beat the Dolphins. They lost to the Steelers. So to their two losses are the Raiders and Steelers. Then they beat the Panthers. They beat the Bills. Good win.

Bobbo: But the other wins since the Bills, so they've had Panthers, Dolphins, Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons, Buccaneers with a banged-up team, Jets, Bengals with Joe Flacco, and now they have the Giants.

Bobbo: So, I mean, real, not real. They're beating the teams they play, but o they're thankful for that cake schedule. Once again, sorry, New England. But I'm thankful for an easy schedule, too.

Bobbo: Sue me.

Mackenzie Forgacs: 100% as you should be. it's not your It's not your fault.

Bobbo: No, beat the teams that you got. Beat the teams you got and they're doing it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: For sure.

Bobbo: So, hey.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Absolutely. All right. Yeah.

Bobbo: And quick question.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Couldn't agree more. I've got them at 14. So also very high. Sorry.

Bobbo: I was going to say, if I can guess what you got him at, can I take one of my vetoes away?

Mackenzie Forgacs: What?

Bobbo: Dang it. And I yeah and i was going to guess 14.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh, sorry.

Bobbo: Dang it. dg it

Mackenzie Forgacs: Drads. Yes. Also very high. Got them 14. No real reason, you know, of knocking them down to other than I just really believe in the Rams and the Seahawks above them.

Mackenzie Forgacs: So yeah, I think that's it. We've got a lot to figure out here offline. Thank goodness we've got some time to do it before Thursday, but appreciate everybody tuning in a little early this week and we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Bobbo: We do.

Bobbo: Thank the Lord.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Everybody's got a lot to be thankful for. I know I'm very thankful for a lot, especially you, Bob, my co-host. I know we bicker and joke a lot, but very thankful for you and, you know, just kind getting to hang out every week and and do this.

Bobbo: Absolutely. Great sentiment there. um From me and mine to Mac, you and Nick and your families and all of our all of our wonderful listeners, we hope you have a very healthy and happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Bobbo: um I too am very thankful for my best friend and chance to hang out on a weekly basis talking one of our favorite things in the world, football. But we appreciate you all. We are entering the best time of the year, end of the NFL season.

Bobbo: Playoffs are heating up. The NFC North is heating up. And this is the first time in a while the Bears and Lions have both been in it.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Oh yeah.

Bobbo: So this is – it's going to get fun.

Mackenzie Forgacs: It's true.

Bobbo: i think we have some fun bets coming in the last month of the year. it's A lot of lot of good things to ah keep tuning in for. So keep joining us, folks.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Absolutely. We'll see you all next week.

Bobbo: Peace.

Bobbo: Gobble, gobble, gobble.

Mackenzie Forgacs: Gobble gobble go lions.

Bobbo: Go Bears.
