Speaker: You basically have four points, and then the game just goes haywire because you have the inconsistency of eight missed calls, two for the Knicks, six for the Sixers, going into the final 45 and under seconds, two timeout calls missed by the refs because they just believe that timeout shouldn't be called anymore.
Speaker: And then you're seeing now the end of the game reports, L2M reports, which are just abysmally dumb because at the end of the day, refs don't get scrutinized, penalized, or anything when it comes to missing calls or blowing games.
Speaker: But they brought out a report that said the Sixers were abysmally, haphazardly, just ruined.
Speaker: Six missed calls for the Sixers.
Speaker: That's a lot of words.
Speaker: Six missed calls for the Sixers.
Speaker: Max was fouled twice.
Speaker: Run that back again.
Speaker: Abysmally and haphazardly.

Speaker: Honestly, it might have just been the rig was in.
Speaker: The refs knew who they were betting for.
Speaker: And at this point in time, what do you do?
Speaker: Because the report came out that it was accurate.
Speaker: Six missed calls for the Sixers in the last 45-second stretch.
Speaker: Two of which were on Max where his jersey was then pulled and he was slapped in the face.
Speaker: Another call was missed on Joel Embiid when gone to DiVincenzo.
Speaker: Prior to that, though, Embiid did foul DiVincenzo, and that call was missed.
Speaker: That's one of the Knicks' only missed calls for the rest of that, at the last stretch of that game.
Speaker: Nick Nurse had went to call two timeouts during the fouls that occurred for Maxie.
Speaker: Both timeouts were missed.
Speaker: Not only did the rest adamantly say that he didn't call a timeout, then when they found out the timeouts were missed, the apology was then issued by the NBA like, that matters, the game's over.
Speaker: Unless now...
Speaker: in this report that the Sixers are going to be dropped and we're defiling the grievance, you're changing the structure of the game where you're saying the Sixers won this game, which is a bad look for the NBA and a bad look for the Sixers if the Sixers then end up winning this series, getting the game back.
Speaker: I get what you're saying.
Speaker: The problem is nothing's going to come from this grievance.

Speaker: It's mostly, what's the word I'm going to go for, on paper.
Speaker: The only thing that I would want to come out of this is the thing I've been asking for for years is that refs are now penalized and fined
Speaker: for missed calls, bad tags, and they have to do a post-game presser.
Speaker: But let me tell you about this, too, because we're going to get back to the Nick Sixers game in a second because I have my own thoughts about how that game ended as I've kind of thought about it.
Speaker: But there is bad reffing in all sports right now.

Speaker: All referees suck.

Speaker: Major League Baseball at Tom's is unwatchable because balls and strikes are not consistent.
Speaker: And it's older people, though.

Speaker: But across sports, across ages, there's only one consistency, and that's that the referees are not calling things consistently for both teams.
Speaker: And that's the thing that most people want.
Speaker: Like, okay, your team is going to lose.
Speaker: Like, okay, if the Sixers just lost, that's fine.
Speaker: I'm used to it.
Speaker: Whatever.
Speaker: But I don't need the referees to help them lose.
Speaker: Especially when it's like two minutes left, either you're going to replay it right or you're not replaying it at all.
Speaker: Because what's the point of the replay if we're not going to actually reverse the call, which never normally occurs unless it's a challenge now.
Speaker: So that just makes the replay a waste of time.
Speaker: But the issue is, Chris, again,
Speaker: Raphs don't have to.
Speaker: The refs can go home and sleep good.
Speaker: They might say, oh, man, I'm so upset at that moment that they missed the call.
Speaker: But at the end of the day, because they're not penalized, fined for the misses or the miscues, fined for the fact that when they call a tech because somebody said, man, that's – some techs are very egregious, worth the tech.
Speaker: Some techs are just, man, a player had a reaction and the refs just didn't like it.
Speaker: And we're not seeing any penalization for referees.
Speaker: They're literally judged during executioner on the court, the field, the pitch, everything.
Speaker: And because of that, they have too much power.
Speaker: We're giving refs at this point in time the power that you should be giving commissioners when it comes to what they're doing in the game itself.
Speaker: Because, yeah, you could talk to them a little bit, voice your opinion, and that call might be called the next time when they're saying, hey, did you look at this right?
Speaker: But most of the time, the ref's still going to...
Speaker: call what they call or talk back and say, hey, finish the play.
Speaker: And now you've seen it too.
Speaker: Let me ask a question.

Speaker: What's the point of having the replay center?
Speaker: Like LeBron said, you have the replay center.

Speaker: The point of it was to see if, like, you know, when a dead ball was to occur,

Speaker: You can reverse those calls.

Speaker: If you throw Penance right now on the Vikings, it's going to be a competitive team.

Speaker: But I think it's going to be a slower progress.
Speaker: Slower to the point where if Justin Everton doesn't get this deal, he might walk.
Speaker: Because what if he doesn't like the QB that they bring in, right?
Speaker: And what if he doesn't like the connection they have or he doesn't like what's going on?
Speaker: Because no receiver after – this is actually praise for Kirk Cousins.
Speaker: No receiver after having Kirk Cousins dot you up – because Kirk Cousins isn't a horrible QB.
Speaker: I got him in the top 15.
Speaker: Dot you up consecutive years where now you're going to get one of the biggest paydays of your life.
Speaker: He wants to see their production dip and wants to see the wins go down.
Speaker: Like, yeah, they had a bad season last year, but that was just due to injuries on both parties.
Speaker: Jefferson was hurt and Kirk was hurt.
Speaker: But if they weren't hurt, that team is still a playoff team, right?
Speaker: Who wants to see them not be in the playoffs again?
Speaker: Because now you've got this rookie QB coming in that just is wet behind the whistle, that doesn't know what he's doing yet, and he's going to throw maybe a couple picks or misreads or is going to overthrow this receiver one and two that are like, man, I've been getting dotted up for a couple years now, right?
Speaker: So those are conversations that this team has to have because Josh Jefferson wants to get paid.
Speaker: And you're not about to mess up his money.
Speaker: When he can go get traded somewhere else and go play with a quarterback and get him paid.
Speaker: Yeah, but you're not going to trade him for nothing.

Speaker: Because, I mean, recent reports today was that Bengals, Trey Henderson just asked for a trade.
