Summer Break Announcement

I realize it's been 27 days, I think, since I recorded my last episode. I've had a good start to the summer and I actually had a chance to visit friends and family and have some good time away. It felt like a mini retreat, a little bit of a reset. And as I am juggling a few different projects,

Life Coaching Certification Goals

So I am deciding to take a bit of a summer pause. I've already been doing a bit of a pause, but I am taking a summer pause with this podcast and I will come back the week of August 22nd, my birthday week.

I am actually finishing up my life coaching certification. I joined this certification program a year ago or August 16th will be a year ago and I need to certify within a year and I can't believe August 16th is coming soon.

Balancing Work and Pleasure

So I am going to go all in with that for the next five weeks and I'm also

deciding that I'm going to go in with that, but also do things a bit differently. Usually when I have a deadline and especially a deadline, that's a bit out of my comfort zone, like this one, I go all in and I just focus on that. And I definitely do not focus on pleasure and aliveness in my life. So for the next few weeks, I am going to approach this, the final steps of the certification differently.

Facing Coaching Challenges

and go all in while also working, but go all in and also leave my weekends free to enjoy my summer, see friends, reconnect with friends, meet new people, and also date.

So, and all of that will be really good opportunities to practice the tools I am learning from my coaching and bring more pleasure and aliveness into my life. So we will see how that goes. Um, definitely it's out of my comfort zone to prioritize different things as I am trying to reach a really big goal.

Promoting Coaching Sessions

One part of this coaching certification that feels a bit daunting is it's the actual coaching. I'm really good with all the content and the studying and I've gotten through all of that and taken a lot of notes and I know that I will pass the written exam. But the one area has actually that I've been hesitating is actually putting it into practice.

So for the next four to five weeks, I am going to practice, practice, practice as much as I can. I have a few people that signed up for ongoing coaching, but I'm also reaching out to friends and people that I don't know that to let them know that I am offering different 20 minute coaching sessions. Structure of Coaching Sessions

It's basically, so it's 20 minutes, which maybe feels like, what's the point? 20 minutes feels really short.

but I've actually been doing some 20 minute sessions myself getting coached and I think a lot can happen in the 20 minutes. So we will see. I am new and I think what you will definitely get out of this is a opportunity to be in a space, a nonjudgmental space where you can share something that's been on your mind or talk out about a decision you've been wanting to make or just

thinking about next steps or just something that's been on your mind and you want to share with someone. And again, it's a 20 minute nonjudgmental zone. And I will walk you through this process that I am learning that helps you access your wisdom. And we'll talk about, you know, the process after we go through it.

I have always thought of August as this time to reset and it's my new year. And even though as I'm getting older, I do actually look forward to my birthday month and just being intentional about resetting.
