Speaker: It's just not showing up on my screen. Don't worry about the graphics so much. This is how I figure out I'm dead, is that my podcast waveforms are flatlined. He hasn't been responding for and you're like, oh god, that's so scary. Have you ever seen the show? Just have you ever seen the movie just like heaven? You have locked in syndrome. We need to talk wait. so Huh? Have you ever seen the movie just like heaven with Mark? We need to talk about heaven. um No, I haven't seen just like we need to talk about heaven. We need to.

Speaker: Do you guys feel like you're going there or that you're hopeful for it? um I do not want. Well, here's my actual genuine big brain belief is that your mind goes to heaven and your body goes to hell no matter what, no matter who you are. um And I think that's good. I think I think it would be I think it would be the opposite.

Speaker: Really? Bodies can experience pleasure, but your mind tricks you into thinking it's pain. No, I think the reverse. I think bodies want to be tortured, tickled, um slimed, burned, and frozen, and slapped, and fucked. Stretched. But like rubb stretched out. And as long as the mind's not there to criticize any of those nasty things, then the body can just have a ah reckless day at the playground for infinity. Well, that sounds nice, though. So maybe they go to separate heavens.

Speaker: Well, that's, yes, I think so. Yeah, well, the body's heaven is the mind's hell. Yes, but we want to be rubber banded into eternity and set a blaze. Yeah, Rachel, the idea of hell is so limited. It's really just like, and what if we bounce you around like a ball? It's all first draft ideas. It's real hot and everyone is mean. It's like, honestly, that's a New York subway in July.

Speaker: like I don't think that that's so interesting. I've experienced it. like It's not so creative. i think yeah i mean Obviously, there's all those books and like plays about it, but I think that hell is something so much worse. It's like looking in the mirror for like an hour and a half trying to figure out if you're fat or not.

Speaker: Everyone is there, including monsters and your teachers. They're all nodding their head. So yeah, hell can't be that good because I guess in heaven can't be that bad No, I can't imagine either of those things living up to my expectations, but I have earthly expectations I guess that's the whole thing. I don't have godly wisdom or satanic evil sometimes when I breathe like really good it feels like maybe that's the piece that you wish for times or like times 0 .01 or something and so if you like are breathing better and more okay so have you guys ever like jumped in the ocean yeah

Speaker: I think it's like that, but better. It's like hyperventilating and jumping into an ice bath. like Who's that crazy guy who who does all that shit? Wim Hof. Yeah. It's like that. Yeah. And it sounds really good. And you're forgiven. yeah I think the big thing is that you're accepted and you're forgiven and you're accepted and everything else goes away. You're forgiven like Wim Hof for those crimees of people he killed.

Speaker: and all the people who paid $200 to find out how to hyperventilate. And it's pillowy, which yeah i guess but can an eternity of pillows be that much better than a single pillow?

Speaker: i know like softness in one like If I focus my head on my head on a pillow, then I basically feel like my body's on a pillow because that's where my attention is. yeah Do we really have to multiply pillows by one zillion in order to imagine what? total start of but This is insane. way i want to I want to comment on this. It's that's true, though, that like in anything times a zillion sucks. So maybe heaven isn't an eternity like everybody thinks it is. Maybe it only lasts like a summer. Yeah. And then everyone just disappears.

Speaker: ah That sounds good. See that sounds okay. I could handle that one summer of pleasure fine I hope that there's some sort of like I don't want it to be that you're one -for -one soul goes back into a new body or something like I want it to be like That's so and that's why we're so complicated because like I've got like a million people inside of me who've lived before and they all have different ideas of what's right and like and Then that's why I have like inner conflict, etc that is that I think the basis of Scientology, and it's probably like the most convincing part of it, is that there's a million weirdos living inside your body trying to get out and hang out. But then do like the good parts of you go to heaven and the in the cranky parts of you go to hell? is that Because they're different people is the way you're phrasing it.

Speaker: Mmm, that makes sense. I also feel like it should just was kind like a group project. Everybody fails I feel like there should be good people in heaven and bad people in hell and it's you literally get out you get yeah yeah who gives a lottery Yeah, and also yeah heaven and hell should be three months each And as soon as you're done, you get reincarnated. And we should think about it as like heaven and hell are just like when you go to your separate corners in a boxing match and like you get kind of pasted and healed and and then you're back out into the ring. You get healed in hell?

Speaker: You just get different powers than you would get in heaven. right yeah You get reverse yield harmed, but still different. Go ahead, Rachel. sorry I'm sorry. I'm on a bit of a coffee day. No, I just thought of a heaven that honestly made me start crying when I thought of it.

Speaker: That is classic. I can't even say that loud. You have to. You have to try getting the first few words out. And we're going to try to take it from there. Tell us about Heaven. Blonde podcast guest goes to Heaven for three seconds and tries to explain to her male hosts what it was like.

Speaker: oh my god i' like to throw up um I thought of a heaven that's just hanging out with my parents without conflict That's funny because that's also the best that most historians and biblical scholars could come up Yeah, I guess you hang out with your parents and there's no vibe. Oh my god. I can't think about it anymore. It's like really ridiculous can strong There's no conflict, everyone's naked, but no one has genitals, so it's not that gross. Yeah, and no one has like sexual desires, obviously, if it's like with my parents, I just like love them. Yeah, mom and dad are there, yeah. You're not gonna start fucking somebody. Yeah, there's not even discrete winks that mom and dad share with one another when you're back. And there's no walls, you can kind of see everybody at the same time, so. Yeah.

Speaker: Heaven is when you have five moms and six dads. And no one gets informed. There's a TikToker who has that experience. That guy, Julian Shapiro Barnum, he has four moms, two dads. Jesus Christ. Who is this? It's somebody who's famous for having a lot of parents? No, no, he's not even famous for that. But you can just tell because like it's clear he got like a lot of love, I guess.

Speaker: Yeah, that's not good when a baby when when adults start surrounding a baby to give it love. No, you shouldn't be that outnumbered by parents. Also, babies are not that interesting. No. Wait, he was he was raised by a ah polycule or how what? It was um a lesbian couple and a gay couple wanted to have a kid and they split the kids so that so got they could have like so that there was a man and a woman involved. So there was a double so to so everybody got so it was mostly just like the lesbian. So the lesbians wanted to have a baby. They got a sperm donor who was happy to be around. And so his partner also was around, but it wasn't like he was like raising um him. And then his moms got divorced. And so there's like a bunch of moms.

Speaker: whoa Whoa. Jesus. Wait, the sperm is around to the donor. Would you guys ever donate your sperm? Do you think like if you were in a financial bind and you really were like, I don't think that, up well, that wouldn't be a donation. Would I, would someone, could someone pay me for it? It depends who they are. hey Sorry. Would you be a sperm? I think they're called donors. Even if you're getting paid.

Speaker: I think you're right because the donor is a person who gives money and the donor is in it. OK, you're making a really good point. there Yeah, you're running into an obstacle here.

Speaker: Here's what I'll say in response to that question. When I found out about all those like freaky doctors who work in insemination facilities and contaminate the samples so that they can father resilient children, my first thought was, that's my idea. nights took my idea What's interesting about this question is like if you do it, you have to think about whether or not you want to check that box that allows the children to contact you in the future or if you want to remain ah uncontactable by those by those kiddos. That feels so crazy to me to check no, because it's like, what what kind of thing do you do to a child when they can't? Checking no doesn't do anything. They can still find you. They can still figure it out. Yeah. They won't be stopped by a checkbox. But I feel like if I'm going to donate to one, i would want to I would rather just have 10 ,000 kids. I wouldn't want to, it would be ridiculous to just have one floating around out there. I would want there to be enough. I know, that's so meager. It has to be enough so they can form a community and support group and they can also talk about me and my my weird sperm spreading ways. Totally. A Derek country. Yeah. And you have countrymen.

Speaker: I would get freaked out thinking about like my dad being a guy who would like come in a jar for a woman to get in part. You know what I mean? like I'd be like, huh, kind of strange guy. but not Not my favorite move that he'd pulled off. I have a friend who was asked by an ex that he is still close with if and who is now um no longer a heterosexual woman ah who reached out and said, hey, would you mind ah giving me a child?

Speaker: Because I think that you're the only, you're the you've got the only sperm in town as far as I'm concerned. so that's Can you imagine? um No, I mean that's just like, even if you even if you sit politely decline, you literally are walking on clouds for the rest of your life.

Speaker: Yeah. thought Someone thought of you as a perfect guy. Yeah. i Actually, I had a moment in my life where I was romantically attracted to you. I'm no longer in that sexual camp anymore, but I still think that you're still the supreme father in my book. Our sperm and egg will still like love each other.

Speaker: Yeah, they'll get along. It's really sad how women only have like a 12 eggs or so. They don't have that many eggs. Guys get to just keep a lot of um them a lot of eggs, but you just like stop kind of being able to like be viable. It freaks me out. I never thought about it until like just right now, I guess, but I guess I'm running out of time and all that stuff. They say it's like, I guess I need to get really successful, really rich, have an amazing partner who I trust and feel completely safe with, especially financially. And then.

Speaker: just like make sure my body's up for the challenge, but it seems like kind of a big ask. I think you're really just supposed to have it happen without planning. And they also say that once you have a baby, everything becomes really easy for you. Oh, good. um it's like ah It's like dangling a carrot on a stick in front of you. It just makes you work so much harder to to get there in life. the The child will work for you too. and I just can't imagine loving something so much.

Speaker: Yeah, it sounds like a drag. It sounds like terrifying. Every day I would just be like, they're going to like walk into traffic. Like but I can't believe my parents let me leave the house. There was a woman who was carrying her baby in the front with like some kind of, you know, holster. What are they called? but A Bjorn?

Speaker: and ah She must have been 19 or 21 or something. She was a young mom and she was walking on the subway stairs and I have these new, new balances that I think are a half size too big and I'm pretty self -conscious about the way I carry myself in them as I'm walking. and As I'm walking down the stairs, I'm just like, wow, if I jutted out my big old fucking shoe 10 inches,

Speaker: I'm less. I could literally watch a child explode and I literally shuddered and I went, oh, and then she and her boyfriend looked at me and I just had to pretend that it was because of whatever I was listening to in my headphones and not imagining their child first into a bloody bag.

Speaker: ah It's honestly, there's so much like bad stuff to think about. It's really bad. I mean, Pierce is out there walking around thinking about, you know, smashing your kid. So like, yeah it's hard, you know. Right. And I'm a normal. You're normal. Imagine what abnormal figures and are thinking. It boggles a mind. It does. It boggles a baby. dere What do you do for work?

Speaker: What do I do for work? I'm unemployed. I'm broke. I'm broke as hell. Rachel, before you before you continue to misunderstand the nature of this podcast, we do not talk about our personal life.

Speaker: yeah but you want to get to know derek we're We're going to get to know how we think about the world um and we're going to ask we're going to read basically questions from ah curious, stupid people and see if we can't ah judge them for their simple -mindedness and own them with facts and logic. This is a good segue. I'll read this question from the Advice subreddit. this This kind of cuts to the core of it. How does someone cope with the knowledge of being stupid as fuck?

Speaker: I'm dumb. I'm sorry to be so self -hating, but it's true. I am dumb as fuck. Throughout all my school years, I had to have extensive help in tutoring with math and science. I am always, always, always, without fail, always the last person to understand something. I could never play sports because I couldn't wrap my mind around the concept of the plays.

Speaker: A solution could be staring me in the face and I don't see it. I have to ask people to explain jokes all the time. I cannot infer anything that is not outright said to me. As a matter of fact, I get so frustrated and angry with myself at how dumb I am, I start throwing stuff.

Speaker: I started reading history a couple years ago. It's some of the only stuff I've ever felt passionate about, but it's also just really easy for me. You read a thing, now you know the thing. Fiction is impossible for me to understand. If the author wants me to infer something indirectly from what a character does, there's no way I will pick up on my own. I know everything as a bullet point list of facts. That's it. Nothing else. No reasoning skills.

Speaker: No social literacy, no understanding of abstract concepts like philosophy. Artwork is only pictures. Never something with a meaning. Understand metal music?

Speaker: History and cartoons, that's all. I feel locked out of an entire universe of experiences. I feel overwhelmed by how incapable of understanding I am. yeah So again, to reiterate, the question is, how does someone cope with the knowledge of being stupid as fuck?

Speaker: He's like two weeks into the like flowers from Algernon drug and he like realized that he's really stupid but doesn't know why or how to fix it and he's not smart yet. He's just smart enough to be pissed off. He's just smart enough to like eloquently speak about how not smart he is. Honestly it feels like he's just autistic and like he doesn't know how to connect with people.

Speaker: It feels like his anger issues. Yeah, it feels like yeah this is the best written question we've we've ever read. It's like it doesn't have that many typos. It's not it's not like outwardly obviously stupid. It's just you the only problem with the only problem with the semantic ah prose of this is that you can tell you wrote it in a blind fury. Yeah. um When he gets mad, he becomes intelligent. I want to know what sparked it.

Speaker: i wonder what spark did too i think probably he threw something that he liked it's very funny to say i'm so stupid that i throw shit i get so frustrated and angry with myself and how dumb i am i start throwing stuff and then next sentence started reading history a couple years ago Yeah, I understand history. It's like, wow, you don't sound that stupid. This feels like me when I'm like, why am I like not stronger? Like i I go to the gym like once a month. Like I should just like be stronger by now. I think about protein intake all the time. I'm not eating it. But it's like sometimes do you just like think about something instead of just like doing it. You know what I mean? It's like if all you think about it is like, I'm a loser. I'm a big fucking loser. It's like, yeah, they sure. You're a fucking loser. But then he says, oh, I understand metal music, history and cartoons. No, I don't think.

Speaker: metal music and cartoons are that academic. But that'd be like saying, I go to the gym all the time, but I'm only good at jumping jacks, running and lifting weights. Yeah. I mean, like, what's the problem? It's part of the human experience. Also, like, to know that you're stupid, you're probably hanging out with, like, people who are just way smarter than you or something. like Definitely. Go work at, like, any cafe ever. Like, not to be a bitch to my former coworkers and community.

Speaker: but it's like there's so many dumb people and like if you're just hanging out with smart people and you feel left out, just hang out with stupid people and you'll feel fucking awesome because that's your new friend. Work at a cafe and the customers are stupid as fuck, you know. yeah just just You just need more experience rubbing up against people.

Speaker: Yeah, because they're everywhere. I think you definitely diagnosed the problem. I think this guy is the laughingstock of his Mensa friend group. And he just figured out that he's like the schmuck in Dinner for Schmucks. you And he needs to have a community of, um I don't know, ah sort of stinky losers who like metal music and cartoons. And I like that he knows. I mean, he's on Reddit.

Speaker: Like, right. you're you're You should be among your people here. His username is Sega Genesis Metalhead. He is obsessed with like the streaming. Oh, OK, it says his performance was in 1080p. I played a lot of Bloodborne on 30 frames per second. Like he's obsessed with like frames and data. He's obsessed with his own inac inadequacy. and He called Donald Trump Tump.

Speaker: yeah I'm fucking stupid. ah Oh, he's a Republican. Yeah. He said build a wall. ah Sorry, I'm looking at his other stuff. I don't really understand how you can have. How can you have any political beliefs if you also think that you're very, very stupid? Yeah. How do you think you're right about that? But then go, but I am very fucking dumb. I am stupid as fuck. However, I will be voting.

Speaker: However, I think I know what's right for everyone else. However, I will not be convinced of anything, so don't even try. um I like this one comment that says, look on the bright side. If you're really that dumb, you can get disability income for being stupid. Unfortunately, your English grammar, spelling, and sentence structure is too good for you to be that stupid, which I guess I agree with. I feel like he just has ADHD or autism or combo or like some other thing.

Speaker: Well, yeah, yeah, not that any of those things are real. yeah He should just he should just figure out ah a word that he can say. yeah yeah And then he'll feel like he's a part of a club. He doesn't have stupid. He has something else that he can make up what it is.

Speaker: Before we had ADHD and generalized anxiety disorder and ah autism, we just we usually had people who would say three paragraphs in a row about how they were angry and stupid and how they didn't know what to do. It's so funny to say artwork is only pictures, never something but the I think this guy's problem is he's incapable of being dishonest. He's incapable of lying. Just look at a picture and say that it means whatever and people will say, oh, that guy's kind of smart. Yeah, we're all lying when we look at art.

Speaker: When I realized that that's what school is like, especially like when you're reading books, it's like you just kind of say every single weird thing that you feel like could be connected to the green light that Gatsby is seeing. And you're probably freaking right on the money because books are fucking stupid. You're so right. um And hope that there would be more deep meaning when it was done.

Speaker: Yeah, when ah when the green light was invented for the Great Gatsby, it became like the the the utmost sharpest dagger in the arsenal of of ah public education. It just filters out whether or not people are able to confidently lie about what one thing means. yeah The greenness of the light has to do with the money. ah the light It's a light because he can see it. the future And the lightness is what makes it so visible. Even in the 90s. And his gody lifestyle is to prove something that he just doesn't feel as true in his spirit. Like, it's just lying. I didn't even read the book. I didn't read that fucking book, but I contributed every class. I contributed every class. Me too. I raised my hand to disagree with my classmates, having not read the book. I raised my hand and I said, they call it the Great Gatsby, but I don't think he's so great.

Speaker: I think they're being sarcastic. My roommate was such a nerd and like a really hard worker in high school. And I would make fun of her and I would have a lot of fun and like make out with boys. And I would come back to the room and be like, did you do the reading? And she'd be like, yeah. And I took a lot of notes and I was like, I didn't do the reading. And then I would go into class and really be amazing. And she was so shy that she never talked. And I got like equal grades to her, even though I never did the reading or any of the work and I'm pretty dumb. So right. And now you're successful and she's homeless.

Speaker: Yeah. now Now you have everything going for you and she's at the bottom of society. Yeah. So working hard and being smart, it's like that's a scam. It's true. Yeah. This guy should just come around to the idea that like anyone who doesn't worry about like the shit that he's so obviously worried about, I can't even finish this thought. It's so stupid. The way I know he's dumb is because he's he thinks that the reason he's dumb is because he doesn't understand books and stuff. The reason he's dumb is because he hasn't figured out that everyone is stupider than him and they're just lying.

Speaker: He's like probably pretty smart. Well, he says right there, no reasoning skills, no social literacy. He breaks my heart, but I also don't care for him. And I'm not rooting for him at all. If I had this person in my life, I would try to kill them with a pillow every time they went to bed. Yeah. But they don't understand abstract concepts like being killed, so they wouldn it wouldn't even bother them.

Speaker: That's right. yeah it's not we They would just start throwing things. So yeah, I guess my roommate is trying to show me a pillow. Great. I'm probably not even going to understand what he's doing. I won't even understand the meaning of the pillow. There's no pictures on this pillow, but I guess we'll try it. But it's not a cartoon or metal music. It's funny to understand metal music because most don't. I just imagine this last paragraph being, I understand candy, beer, and popcorn. I've never had its all the taste for joy. Yeah. All right. Well, i I think this is my least favorite question we've ever read on this podcast. Yeah, sorry. It really it pissed me off. It made me sad. and i It just doesn't feel like it can be that true.

Speaker: Well, I think I have a worse question after. I think I'll easily best it. Thank you very much, Derek. Okay, so this next question is from adultery, the adultery subreddit. I want to read this one. I like that. Okay. Do you know what AP means in the context of the adultery subreddit? I have to say that I don't know what it is. It's a fair partner.

Speaker: Oh, the person he's having an affair with. Mature content. I'm on it. Okay, here we go. Sex with SO after meetup with AP. Particularly curious of the women on here, but all perspectives welcomed. Do you try to hold off on having sex with your SO after you've met up with your AP? If so, how long?

Speaker: Also, how do you find sex with your SO now that you're having an affair? I'm asking because I recently met up with my long distance AP in the days after my husband was relentlessly wanting sex. Sorry, this might be TMI, another abbreviation, but I kept making excuses for us not to because A, honestly I'm a bit sore down there, B, there was still cum in me, um and then the smiling emoji with the sort of anime sweat gland,

Speaker: Um, see, I just don't have desire to do it after being so thoroughly satisfied by my AP. yeah C and B are obviously the same thing. They're still common to me. I'm still so thoroughly satisfied. Here's the postscript. Me and my SO have sex pretty regularly, two times per week, sometimes more or less, depends on how busy the week is. Yeah, that's what that's what pretty regularly means. The sex is not good. I won't go into details, but there's no passion. I'm finding it hard.

Speaker: I'm finding it hard to enjoy it even more so now. Do you feel the same after meeting with AP? Holy shit. This is such a good reason to never have kids. You should just break up with people all the time. That's crazy. This is nuts. I know sex isn't like everything in a relationship. Obviously there's other stuff, but like, oh my God, I'd kill myself. It's pretty horrifying to find out there's an adultery community. Yeah.

Speaker: who like kind of support each other and have their internal lingo and be like, yes. And I'm like, so you're on there talking about this. You think no one's going to find your fucking Reddit. It is so easy to find people's Reddit. You just give yourself away. Also, someone opens your phone.

Speaker: Oh God, people are so sick. And I just feel like cheating is so bad. And I really believe that. If you guys have ever done it, I think that's evil. And I think it's like the worst thing you can do to a person. And so I'm like, just break up with this guy. He seems like a fucking loser. Being cheated on would be bad, but being cheated on and then they post this would be a thousand times worse.

Speaker: It would be so, I mean, it's a, it what it I will say though, it is a really special kind of love. If like, if you're just cheated on and then you don't even get posted about and called an SO in an adultery community, then you're just lost to the sands of time as a sport lover.

Speaker: if ah If my girlfriend cheated on me and she called her, uh, the guy she showed me with like the fuck pig or something or whatever, like in her, in her mind, that would be better than if she posted on Reddit and said, Oh, my affair partner.

Speaker: Yeah, that's that's too fucking lame. Also, it's like a so their partner is so different than like just someone you met at a bar or something where like it's casual and you didn't mean to do it. A fair partner is like we have been planning this behind my lover's back and it's like. Well, just don't do that and then don't post about it because obviously you know the answer. Like that's the thing is it's like you're asking a question, but there's no answer because you don't care. You just want to say I had curiosity. It's like you're guilty. And so you're posting your about it, but you don't actually fucking care. You know that like you should just have sex with your boyfriend or break up with him.

Speaker: Also, if you're having sex two times a week, that's pretty consistent for a long time partner, I think. I feel like most people, it's like once a week if you're lucky or whatever, and maybe I've just had bad relationships. But I feel like then it's kind of like, well, if you're having sex that much and it's bad every time, you're trapped in a prison of being tortured by some guy who sucks at having sex.

Speaker: Well, that's I think the thesis of this question is, does this sound like I'm cheating on my partner a lot or in a really like sophisticated way? I mean, it's it's just like confirming to this community that I'm really cheating, right? like yeah Not only am I having sex with someone outside of my relationship, but it fills me up. more than my Yeah. gri He fills me up with jizz that stays in my pussy for weeks. um I don't even. have to I'm like not to be a bitch, but like it clears out like basically immediately. You just kind of use it out. It's fucking me so that I'm sore, come filled and absolutely absent of all desire for sex with my partner. It's like, yeah, that that sounds right. It sounds like you really are cheating. It sounds like you're cheating pretty hard.

Speaker: um Yeah, it's ah it's interesting because I guess as soon as you join this community, you're like, all right. Well, before I felt kind of lonely and I kind of felt ashamed that I was cheating on my partner, but now I can kind of like really explore the jizz of my AP and really explore the toughness and roughness of the sex. and I can even explore like the absolute disdain I have for the dignity of a person I call my partner. And instead of being kind of quiet and shameful about these things, I can sort of make a meal out of it. but And it's kind of just a funny thing that you can even post the like laughing with a teardrop emoji. Yeah. Yes. It's like you're making fun of this guy. Like it was so cruel to do something like this. And like, if it's your secret and you don't tell anyone, like cool. No problem. You did it because you had school. No problem. That's fine. That kind of form of adultery is fine.

Speaker: Sorry, I guess my I misspoke. No, it's not fine. But even that, it's like at least there's some dignity there or something for someone. Well, I would say at least like there's some kind of law of the jungle happening when there's like an adultery happening, but it's completely off the grid. And it's like it's like when a tiger eats a meerkat, you know, it's like it's not good supposed to be a secret. It's weird if it's not secret and you're just posting about it.

Speaker: Like, I don't think it's good that predators maul defenseless, low IQ animals, but they gotta eat. Cheaters gotta cheat and eaters gotta eat. But I don't think it's good when the tiger is in a Cambodian village and eating all of the townsfolk. and That's like a disgraceful tiger. He should eat real animals. Yeah.

Speaker: lowly animals. The way you're framing it is like ah being an adulterer is kind of like a, it's a sexual identity. Yes. That's what I, that's what I think. Well, I think adulterers, there's probably some kind of a scientific study about this, but I bet adulterers are just something happened to them when they were kids or something. They just think everyone cheats until they cheat.

Speaker: There are so many people, there's like half of the world is like everyone cheats and half of the world is like, or maybe less than half, I actually don't really know the stats yet. It's like - No, half sounds accurate. Yeah, like you don't have to - Whenever someone says half of the world, I'm like, okay, I'm scientific. But I feel like most people don't really cheat.

Speaker: I hope. No. Do you guys know? No, we I think cheating comes up on every single podcast episode that we record, but I don't know how fucking prevalent it is because even like close friends of, ah you know, anyone's close friends don't really confide about this kind of thing. Like yeah people are very secretive about the ultimate romantic crime. I don't think I've had a close friend who who cheated that I found out about it, because if I did, I feel like They wouldn't be your friends. I don't know if I'd stop. I don't know if I would net it would it depends, I guess, but I would want to talk to them about it. Yeah. Like, what was that all about? Yeah. Yeah. Why were you weird? Why did you do that? Why did you betray the person you're supposed to love more than anyone other than your family? Whenever I guess I'm like in so many ways, I'm so conservative about stuff. I don't think it's a conservative opinion. I mean, I will say that we have grown. I think I think the

Speaker: public attitude towards adultery and cheating has hardened over the last generation and a half. And I feel like it was way more tolerated or even like um taken as a given ah even like 60 years ago. It was just seen as like a sort of quirky like um ah Italian game ah if to make like a chess metaphor.

Speaker: like it was just a little a different version of a relationship and like yes like a sexual preference or proclivity that was uh similar to homosexuality the cheat the cheater it was like a lifestyle the cheater so this person will go to hell Promptly upon a arrival forgot about a hell. Yeah, this whole thing works itself out Yeah, or the cheating part of them will go to hell and the part that was having um so having resentles with her Yeah, that part gets rewarded forever

Speaker: It's funny that like cheating is a double crime because you're also just ah having you're you're having sex with someone that you don't even like or love and you're calling it passionless. It's like eating spoiled meat and blaming the animal for not tasting good. But there's cum in you. Oh yeah, that's right. You're sore and you're full of cum and you are full of resentment. and You know what, there's another option that we haven't even thought of and it's that the guy that she's cheating on knows and she does this like as part of their weird sex thing to humiliate him or something. You're you're trying to think of a way that there's still like love. and Or it's just another option of a type of person. That's really sweet actually. Maybe it's not enough that you cheat on me, I also need you to tell everyone that I'm not fucking you good and you have come and you.

Speaker: You know, I think if if there's anything if there's any part of this that's not true, I think it's just that a guy is writing the post and jacking off to it. And there's no relationship whatsoever. Right. this Yeah. Um, is there more questions? I thought maybe you were going to make yourself cry again.

Speaker: No. That's one of the podcast opportunity. um Rachel, you're about to read this next question, I think. Really? This is one from, um I don't, you know, not to sort of pigeonhole you, but this is from Ask Women.

Speaker: Okay, to what extent does a man's favorite podcast, book, TV show, or other media influence your view of them? If a man concedes to watching Rogan's podcast regularly or a comedian such as Andrew Schultz, does that lead to you having a strong view of them in any direction? That they are somehow part of society's problems and ills?

Speaker: Same for if they regularly watch hyper -masculine sports such as MMA, or if, for example, they consider a book such as 12 Rules for Life to be particularly influential for their own growth and development. Does that give you a strong opinion of them one way or another, or in general lead to a strong reaction if you find this out?

Speaker: yeah um Yeah, I would say yeah if a man is consuming right wing um propaganda, I do notice that. And it is worth mentioning or thinking about if a man is obsessed with male domination and subservant women in his media. I guess, yeah, I do notice that if all he consumes is MMA, which is is a sport for um betting and not much else and men who want to watch carnage on TV. I like MMA, but it's not all I watch. And if it was, I would think I was sick.

Speaker: Yeah, I think it's okay to believe that men's interests are indicative of what they're interested in. And if a guy is interested in like Hitler and like World world War III a lot and like really likes Catholicism and um and like does it and you know fascism like I guess I would think that maybe they like are neo -fascists as well like it's just sometimes what you think about a lot is the thing that you believe Totally. And sometimes you look like the guy you are. If a guy is dressing up with a sort of swastik arm bands and um has a little pencil mustache, he could be a Nazi. He could be. And also if you're posting an r slash women asking if um if they know think about what you think, then you probably don't have any women in your life who either you can talk to or would feel safe listening to your questions.

Speaker: or telling you the truth. Is there an exception to this, though? I mean, could like a guy like me, who everyone agrees is like cool and chill and has correct politics, could I get away with like occasionally watching a Joe Rogan episode or laughing at an Andrew Schulz joke? I mean, am I allowed to am I allowed to enjoy Jordan Peterson? Yeah.

Speaker: Who is Andrew Schultz? Oh, he's i mean his have kind of like, if you have like an ironic shirt on or something, you know, kind of like all bets are off. Who knows why he's doing anything. Right. Oh no. Andrew Schultz is the mustache ah Italian guy, right? Give me a break. I already know everything I need from that haircut.

Speaker: I think a man who's isolated by his own interests and beliefs in men who are evil, being the best men, has done it to himself and knows the answer before he even posted on Reddit. where So true. He knows that normal cool girls are not going because they have lives. And if they're somewhere, it's on TikTok. They're not on Reddit. The girls on Reddit are weird and goth.

Speaker: Yeah, I wish that these guys who um are interested in like locking down a trad wife, I wish that the men who influence these fucking ah Elliot Rogers of the world and so on, that they would just tell them how to get a goth girlfriend and not teach a game, but just teach how to dress.

Speaker: Yeah. And wear weird chains and stuff. I think that there would be a ton of delight in that and because all these men are so frustrated that they can't just walk up to a woman like Borat at the climax of his film and kidnap Pamela Anderson. But he should you should be able to enjoy pretending to be like a goth fuck boy so that you can trick a tatted up sweetie into ah getting coffee with you.

Speaker: Or just be like Borat the rest of the movie, be tall and weird and girls like that, too. And Voss Versten, excited. Right. And ask questions about culture. You're allowed to. Yeah, you can be like so secretly crossing your fingers behind your back the whole time as you delight in a girl's particularity and and and ask questions about what makes her her. Right. and And meet her parents the entire time. You can be secretly um waiting for it all to be over.

Speaker: or not, or, I don't know, I don't know what the secret, the big secret is, and pretend, how do you pretend to like this girl as a straight man? I do think though that Pierceron is something there where it's kind of like, these guys wouldn't have such a problem if if they weren't such like big, negative, angry cry babies. If they were just laughing and smiling and enjoying the world, yeah it would it would be easy for them. Yeah, but it's so gay to do that. You want to game everything.

Speaker: And if I wanted to game everything, do you think I would have listened to so many boys play guitar to me in college? No, I was there to experience the arts and find out what what Boston had in store for me culturally through the boys that were for were um like convincing me to fuck them. and And yeah, that's the that's the real like Darwinian difficulty with ah with like dating and in college, is that when a guy uses guitar to trick a girl into having sex with him, the girl is always interested in the guitar, not the guy, and there's just always two ships passing through the night. Sure, it's like it's like the um the bullfighter in the red cape, but a guitar and he lifts the guitar at the last second, she just runs right onto his dick. Yeah.

Speaker: Oh no, I thought you were gonna play, um, Fire on the Mountain again. damn Why am I sucking your dick? Yeah, have and and he's upset too. He's like, wow, great, another girl who doesn't even care about guitar. I did my trick on her, but I was hoping it wouldn't work this time.

Speaker: Oh God, it's so easy to find true love because there are so many people looking for it. You just have to be open. You just have to be open and you have to be on you have to have like be on your parents' health insurance. And just know a couple of references from Mean Girls and Legally Blonde or whatever the new stuff is. Totally. But not not too many references. No, because that's dangerous.

Speaker: Yeah. Just say like, I don't I like Sydney Sweeney, but not that much. Yeah. And I think you're 50 percent there. Yeah. I think a lot of guys are still very afraid of being put in the friend zone.

Speaker: Jesus Christ. Is that true? I haven't heard about this. I don't think we hear the terminology friend zone very much anymore because I think the way guys have gotten over it now is they just don't want to be friends with women. Yeah, they just won't be friends with them at all. Yeah, which is so weird. Which is a mistake because you can use the friend zone as a launching pad to greater things. And meet their friends. Girls are amazing to be friends with because they listen to you when you talk. They will bring you to other girls also.

Speaker: <unk>s right What's the problem and if you're a good friend to the girls then you have a high it's like then you can have sex with your friend oh great i'm friend zone business such an evil podcast you think this is evil i'm being um I'm being naughty. yeah Oh you you don't like how you're coming across You're bringing out the worst in you. You can't edit it out because it's just who I am. And it's my truth. Rachel, this is just what it's like to put on your thinking cat. And get in the minds of the modern man. I really am curious about like what will make men less scary. And honestly, I think it's going to come from women being way nicer to scary men, which sucks.

Speaker: but I think it's the only way. I don't think the onus is on girls. I think that the, um I just am like, I just don't think guys will change. No, I'm really scared. And I don't think that men have like the bravery to stand up to each other or like be like you're being evil or like they just, we just need really cool guys who are really like,

Speaker: love fighting, love Joe Rogan, but also are really kind to women and have a lot of guy friends. And their their friendship doesn't revolve around getting hammered. We need like sort of Popeye the Sailor men wandering around beating up blue dough for molesting olive oil.

Speaker: Right. We need to like, I don't know. i but ah Part of me thinks that a solution is just like um setting up a bunch of ah like wily coyote traps, um like sex dolls with bear traps next to them or something. And that way we can like do a quick purge, quick filter. Also, I think that there are too many things to be interested in now. And so no one's interested in the same stuff. And it's really hard to connect with each other. like Even on this conversation, there have been so many gaps in our... And like we're just all so different because Pierce, you live in Bridgewood, and Derek, you live in LA, and I live in Crown Heights. And so culturally, we're inundated with a completely different media. Yes, sure. We can't even understand each other. know everything coming out of your mouth, I have to like Google it pretty fast.

Speaker: um All I care about is like makeup and um Cynthia Arevo and her eating disorder. And so it's like, what am I supposed to talk to about about with guys? So I really understand where this guy is coming from, I guess. I remember reading in a textbook about ah like the DSM -5. This was like a little bullet point. I think this was written in like the late 80s or something. and It was about schizophrenia. And it was like, curiously, two people with schizophrenia struggle to understand each other.

Speaker: yeah It's like it's down to 45 year old in Milwaukee and a girl who lives in Philip like there's no Of course, they don't share a language know but They thought like maybe they'll at least be able to like kind of riff and have a like like hey, we're both crazy Let's just both come up some crazy, but they walk away from the interaction. They go that other guys not I'm like two depressed people trying to connect. It's like they're not, it's going to be challenging. Two depressed strangers. It's like, what are you up to? Two depressed people hanging out is really good though, because they both walk away just like, God, I'm not going to kill myself if that guy is suicidal. That guy should kill himself. I should stay around.

Speaker: They did this thing where like they introduced like multiple um guys who thought they were Jesus to each other to like see like maybe that would snap them out of it. like this other you know But all it does is make them go, oh, the other guy's definitely not Jesus.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, that's another one down. yeah Yeah. Yeah. We need a bunch of Joe Rogan fans in a room together and they're like, that guy doesn't understand what Joe's talking about. I'm the only guy you know the guy in the world who so funny that what's interesting about like a guy who listens to Joe Rogan trying to meet a woman, she'll say something like ah Yeah, you know what? I've been really into sparkling water lately. And he goes, great. Another girl who likes sparkling water. Meanwhile, I like wrestling. And he just can't he can't imagine that these people are Think about other stuff, like what's on the news or find a girl who really likes Joe Rogan. There has to be one. Great. Another girl who likes Joe Rogan. That's my thing.

Speaker: yeah But what you said, Rachel, about like everyone having different interests feels so true because it's like you never know when you're going to meet someone and they'll just like they'll they'll just like have a guru or something or they'll be into some weird shit you never heard of and you have to Google and be like, what is this whole thing that they've based their personality around? And that can be so, so isolating because it's like, oh, you can like someone and then find out they're into some weird shit like that. And then be like, and so this is exactly what this guy probably fears is it's like, I kind of connected and liked you, but then I found out this thing. And what he's mis -can understanding is that he thinks.

Speaker: before he even meets the girl, she's not going to like him because of the stuff that he listens to. But the problem is that he listens to the stuff and there's nothing else to talk about for him. He is convinced that um like the fact that he's a part of this, what he thinks is a subculture, but is really just the zeitgeist, yeah um the superculture, the monoculture,

Speaker: He thinks that he'll be able to explain like ah um what every man wants to do is which is explain something to a woman that she's never heard about before. But unfortunately, the thing that he's trying to explain. is um good I don't know. I don't know. it's It's like it's like a fantasy of being like, I'll say something really good. and And then she'll believe it too, or she'll like it just the same. It's the same way that it's the same thing that like men like making women laugh is men just like when women make a noise that isn't ah ah a word in the dictionary. They like when a woman goes, oh, or ha ha ha.

Speaker: If a man can make a woman make a noise that is impossibly is impossible to translate, then she has won. if Yeah, if your girl's using words, you fucked up. yeah Yeah, if you say something to a girl and she goes, hmm, that's interesting, then you want to kill yourself. Yeah, that's interesting. um

Speaker: Yeah. Well, I actually ah do think that what I just said was trechant. yeah I think that it's probably a primordial us itch that is scratched when men make other ah people make noises without even touching them. That's why people perform like music or or comedy or anything. Comedy is amazing because it's like I can do anything and I can just kind of feel like I did a good job afterwards because no one told me that I made them uncomfortable or that I said something that they found really confusing or like politically confusing.

Speaker: um And they don't really know where I stand on things. I just get off stage and I go, yeah, they thought I was awesome. It is kind of amazing to not experience any sort of verbal reaction. Yeah, that's also like the heckler's delight, I guess, is that they ah they have this opportunity to just interrupt ah ah what is supposed to be a hostage situation um where no one is no one is actually allowed to tell the comedian that they are uncomfortable and the heckler is just able to sort of burst out of that cage and say, this is a conversation um and you actually do have to take my feelings into account.

Speaker: Then they get owned. Yeah, and then it goes viral. Here's one from ah para the paranormal subreddit. Pierce, maybe you read it. I'll try it. Are ghost hunters dangerous? Do they make hauntings worse? I'm currently living in a very old house that many people say they feel is haunted. I found a very reputable local ghost hunter association in my area. However,

Speaker: I'm starting to have a second thought. I've read a bit about haunted houses, and some sources say that the act of investigating can actually make things worse and provoke them. I'm experiencing stress from the haunting, and would like to take steps to resolve whatever is going on, but I don't want to feed negative energy or add to it by bringing this group in.

Speaker: Not to be a bitch, this person is a fucking idiot. Just hire a priest. That's what they're there for. Oh my God. People are so stupid. It's literally the only good thing a priest can do. Oh my God. Hire a man of God to bless the space and then a shrieking sound will screech out of your house and you'll be safe and the ghosts will be banished. Oh my God. This makes me so mad. Yeah. A cool priest wearing sunglasses will show up with a water gun filled with holy water and just douse the fucking place. This person is stupid. Definitely. When they say they're the reassigning priests who have molested little boys, are they getting reassigned to bless ah haunted houses? Because that that might work, right? I think that's a job you get promoted into. Oh, yeah.

Speaker: The bad guys have to like like clean up the cracker, like dust or something. I don't really know. I just had a good idea that we should try to like do a secret heist where we steal the is it called the Eucharist every time they bring out those crackers in one. Yeah. Or is it something else? It's always what do you mean heist? You can just order that shit online. No, no, no. I just want to take it. I want to say I want to I want to blessed by the guy who's there. I don't want to. You want like fresh, fresh, fresh crackers.

Speaker: My idea is to take it is to heist all that, euchar all that lovely Eucharist and then ah feed it to pigs. I feel like that might be kind of fun. It would be fun to feed just any kind of slop to a pig. I guess I agree. Yeah. I want to feed a cell phone to a pig, just see what happens. Crunch.

Speaker: It definitely is gonna be a crunch. It's probably not good for the pig or the phone. Okay, sorry for the question. I think, I guess I wonder like, what I think is like you bring a community of people in, they probably have a camera.

Speaker: And I think that ghosts and anything spiritual just like really do not like um modern media at all. And so they're going to see, like oh, this could turn into a TikTok and bust out because it's just so like not of the the spiritual realm to be consumed in such an unbeautiful way. I think ah haunting is such an incredible act of resistance that um and that can't be captured by um like some person who you pay especially like you bring money into it and it becomes like this disgusting and perverse scenario. The ghosts like immediately run away so maybe it's helpful for that but I think if anything they just hide and come back after the crew has left.

Speaker: A team of ghost hunters is guys who the thing they have in common is that they stink up toilets. They think investigating makes haunting worse. So like, what's the point of ghost hunt? I mean, I think all this is stupid, but like, what's what? Why would you hire a ghost hunter if they were just going to irritate the ghost? A ghost hunter just confirms your wacko belief that there's something weird going on and a ghost hunter just walks around and goes, did you hear that? Oh, it's haunting me right now. Mm -hmm. Yep, this room is haunted. There's no way you just don't get so scammed by that and they can't get rid of it because, again, they're not bad. But if ghosts were real, that is how it would work. If ghosts were real, some schlubby guy walking around with a camera couldn't get rid of the ghost. It really would just make the ghost more pissed off.

Speaker: you know Yeah. and I mean, the fact that they're not real, it doesn't matter because it it also makes it worse because you believe that your house is haunted. But in the back of your mind, you know that that can't be possible and that's not real and that you're actually just being stupid. Then you invite some guys who are more stupid than you to come into your home and walk around.

Speaker: for money, they they actually are getting paid to say, in rooms that you hadn't even considered were haunted, to go into that room and then plant the idea in your head, oh this is the worst room. Even if you don't believe in ghosts, if someone walks into your home and says, this is the worst room,

Speaker: ah You're never going to think of that room in the same way again. OK, so I'm thinking more about this person. And yeah, they're just like such a fucking loser. It's crazy. um I'm sorry. I have no empathy for any of these fucking people. They're all so dumb and clearly don't have a single friend. Like, oh, my God, just leave your house. I know. Just like something really weird was in my Wendy's bag. just throw it away

Speaker: oh I would literally like if you get a french fry that looks like Jesus that's really funny you show the person you're sitting with at dinner and then you never think about it again because it's a french fry like if your house is haunted you just go Yeah, my house is haunted. Whatever. Someone died there. That's interesting. But it doesn't have to affect you every day. Just leave the house more. When you come home, you just remember that your house is haunted in the same way that I remember my house had a gas leak last year. And sometimes it squeaks in the rain. Right. Get over it.

Speaker: Yeah, who gives a fuck? Yeah, the solution to any haunted house problem isn't to like get rid of the ghost. It's just to realize that, yes, someone died here, which is normal. People die. The solution to any haunted house, any kind of carbon monoxide poisoning, any kind of like flooding in your kitchen is just like, yeah, leave the house. the Yeah. The flooding in your kitchen is telling you to get out. Oh yeah, you don't you like your neighbors. Yeah, like they're there. What are you going to do about it?

Speaker: hate my neighbors like who cares i hate my neighbor's political beliefs well not not to make this whole episode about like sort of um the modern state of men and women it's interesting but maybe we should uh here here's one from the 2x chromosomes subreddit i hate that it just called this i can never get over it Okay, so why is female loneliness not treated as seriously as male loneliness? I feel like the news social media only talk about male loneliness seriously and how men suffer a lot, but nothing about female loneliness. In fact, it's pretty normal to make fun of female loneliness, women with cats, ugly feminists, or claim that it simply doesn't exist. People will say female loneliness isn't real because, unlike men, it's easier for women to date since men will go for any woman, ugly or not, in quotations.

Speaker: Wait ugly in quotes or not quote and women have an quote easier time making friends than men I personally spend at some point in my life years with having absolutely no friend No friends talking to no one except my family even till now. I don't talk too much too much people and fine and find it extremely hard to make friends. I've never even dated. I know that there's plenty of other women like that, but for some reason we aren't taken seriously. Well, I don't think there's that many women like that because that's a really sad girl.

Speaker: Yeah, this is not these women are not taken seriously because they barely exist and they might not even be real. It's really like leave the house, get a job at a cafe. I'm sorry, but like getting a job at a cafe solves every problem that everyone on Reddit has. So well said. Feel smart. You can make friends. You can meet people. You can feel superior to people. You can feel inferior, whatever you need. You can date people. Just work at a fucking food service industry establishment.

Speaker: And you'll be surrounded by people. You'll be making money. You'll feel busy and excited. Your sleep schedule will get fucked up. You might develop alcoholism, but it's something to do. Definitely. Wow. I mean, we're pretty much hearing it directly from a woman. like um ah this doesn't this is You don't claim them. This person doesn't even count. ah So I guess the question or like the thing we can get from this question is more like, you know what what do girls think about girl losers?

Speaker: yeah Oh, we don't like them. No, I just don't like people like this. It's really hard to care because it's like it's so easy to even just pretend to have friends. I don't like half of the people I spend time with every day. Pretend to have friends? Yes. Most of the people I know, I don't really like that much, but I'm nice to them and they're nice to me and it feels some sort of thing in my my heart and makes me busy and feels like I'm being seen.

Speaker: Well, the reason that female loneliness also isn't taken that seriously, I guess, is because it sounds like a dream to not be constantly harassed and degraded and not make enough money and not be taken seriously and not have access to any halls of power and constantly be talked down to and flirted with and fucked with. um Whereas for men, they're like, oh, I guess if things go right, I'm probably going to become the world's richest Captain America with a hundred wives. And then when they're lonely, they're like, this represents a cultural problem. I didn't get what I was promised. is it That the downfall of Western civilization, you know, in in ancient Rome, I would have so many friends. Yes. But ah women, they're not they're barely promised anything. They're barely promised like a life of dignity. Or i like, to someone. If you're hanging out with your family, like talk to somebody else. If you don't know where to start, get a job. Yes. I also think that the reason female loneliness isn't taken seriously is because they don't do anything about it. They don't do anything big and crazy. I mean, a guy will blow up a school, um you know, he'll like sort of like take everybody out the local grocery store. um And then people are like, oh, the problem of male loneliness.

Speaker: Girls, it's like, I'm lonely, so I just, I'm like, is it because I'm ugly? And then you focus on your body and you get a lot of surgery, which is really isolating because you have to heal nonstop, and then you become like a total freak, and so no one really understands you. Like, that's the solution.

Speaker: For boys it is murder or strangulation or like something worse or like constant sexual abuse or something also bad. And they're not really even trying to solve the male loneliness epidemic, they're just trying to draw attention to it. Yeah. But yeah, ah ah woman a woman who's suffering from loneliness, it's like a tree falling in the woods with no one around to hear it. i mean like Whereas a man will make a ton of noise. We're talking like breaking the sound barrier with gunfire. That's how you know a male. Every time a male is lonely, it's like thunder in the atmosphere because of all the bullets that are being fired. But when a woman is lonely, it's just the tiniest little cat meow. And if you're not within five inches of her, you won't even know that she's suffering from loneliness. Make more noise, girls.

Speaker: Yeah, blow up is cool. Tell the world you're lonely. Start being violent. Or like, yeah, do like a girl band. like Or become like a single ah ah solo ah recording artist. Yeah, become become hot and goth and and play guitar and in in make us love you. ah It'll work, I swear. I swear it'll work.

Speaker: Try to become loved by all men. Yeah, this is just a a person who's misunderstanding the world, which is making me sad, and I wish her she had some friends, but maybe she's fucking stupid and annoying so it's fine that she doesn't have friends.

Speaker: she It's just way easier to believe that she's stupid and annoying than to believe that somehow she's been failed by some thing. She would just start hanging out with lonely guys. Of course. Jesus. How many guys would show up to a meetup? A meetup for lonely guys hosted by a woman. They would go. Yeah. Or a meetup for lonely girls that boys can come to. Oh my God.

Speaker: Now we're talking. And no weapons allowed. Right. There's a metal scanner. It's like the TSA. Or it's like get a job at like an animal sanctuary. Like that will be so fulfilling. People just don't know how to self soothe at all. Yeah. What's all this bullshit about human loneliness? You can be friends with animals. Yeah. And they are. Also, she's like making fun of cat women. It's like cat women seem to have a lot more fun than you, you fucking bitch. Yeah, the cats are their friends. Yeah, they're cats for fuck's sake. They they they' they just lay around all day and they don't even get bored.

Speaker: Every time I think of red or Reddit, just like there's so much darkness in the world, and I spend so much time thinking about it, I guess, but to remember that it really is out there, and that like there are so many lonely people who don't have the answers, and I'm here with way too many friends and all of the answers, but just no time to tell them, it like breaks my heart. I completely, yeah, it's it's hard. and it's it like Talk about self -soothing. The only way to even get through these podcast episodes is is to just laugh at suffering.

Speaker: Well, I mean, we spent a lot of time laughing at the suffering of others. Sometimes I look at like the boys and that I know who are all friends with each other and like make comedy stuff together and have so much fun. And obviously there's challenges, but there's generally a lot of love. And I just wish that like more people knew about that because I really do think that like no one has been shown that.

Speaker: um in culture or in like life even. like The Bechdel test is like also for men. like There's no TV shows where guys are just like really nice to each other and not just being creepy to women and like just like having fun without causing problems. And I feel like there needs to be more examples.

Speaker: ah because nobody knows what that is. Everyone's just like, I guess I should just get really, really jacked and it's and um and and i I won't have problems because I'm so strong. Yeah. Men hate for some reason to um enjoy. ah I mean, I'm not going to say men because me and my friends love to hang out and and spend four hours talking and laughing. we giggling But ah it is funny to think like, well, no one wants to giggle with me, so I might as well become the Hulk. There's there's a certain kind of like um underdeveloped man though that would walk into the situation. Pierce is in, walk into a room with Pierce and his friends and go like, okay, which one of these guys is the boss? Which one is the strongest guy that everyone respects the most? And it would be pretty thrown off by just ah the the exchange of laughter and ideas. you're You're really like making me so sad because like and I think it happens a lot in our space as us three. Like when you're a comedian and you meet someone who is like an aspiring comedian or is like, you know, I'm funny, but I don't do so I don't do comedy because I don't need to or whatever. And then their idea of how to like that. Yeah, they're identifying the leader and then they're nagging the leader instead of just like kicking back and throwing their head back and like, oh,

Speaker: God, it's so pathetic and sad and it rubs off on you even like because you can't teach them. You can't be like, hey, chill out. Why don't you have a good time? Because then they take that personally and they think that they're being judged and they're owning me. Yeah, stop owning me. I just want to be cool. I think there's so many problems.

Speaker: I get so upset about it. Yeah, we live in a problematic little world. And I feel like the solution is always just gonna be love for every answer so far. The answer is break up with the guy who you don't love and date the person that you do love. The answer is love the ghosts, love yourself.

Speaker: Like, love is the answer. How do I cope with being stupid as fuck? The answer is love. Yes, stop suffering. Yeah. The answer is just stop suffering now. Make a decision towards joy. Choose life. Choose life. Choose a family. Rachel, it's so good to know you because ah you you live that, you embody that, and it's so infectious. Not today.

Speaker: But thank you. I wish you wouldn't say that. I mean, look, yeah, you you you enter the Dragons then. All right. Like we're some of the rowdiest men in the comedy sphere right now. And maybe we did drag you down to our level a little bit. But um no, I think our our listeners are going to understand exactly that your message, which is that ah suffering can be avoided if you know where to find joy.

Speaker: And how to ask for it. Just kick back and laugh. Yeah. That's right. And laugh at other people's suffering. Like, what like that's what we do. If you need to. Right. Yeah. but Just find someone lower than you and yeah in in in revel in their pain. Like your pain boyfriend who sucks at sex.

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, we would never say this to this fucking ugly chump. But, well, yeah, so i that is to say, if we ever met this fucking loser who can't stop getting cheated on, um we would say, hey, man, do you want to come hang out at our table? But if he said no, then we would go right back to calling him a slug.

Speaker: yeah
