Speaker: Can you find the connection between the movies, Jennifer's Body, Back to the Future, and Ray? We'll reveal the answer at the end of this episode.

Speaker: Hey guys, welcome to the Trivia Twins podcast. I'm Andi. and I'm Dani, we'll be your hosts. Today, the theme is Into the Forest. We'll be asking you 10 trivia questions associated with the forest or things or creatures you might find in the woods.

If you buy us a coffee, we'll create a trivia episode with your topic of choice. Just send us a message with your requested topic and we'll include that for you in a future episode.

Speaker: Our buy me a coffee link is in the show notes. Now for our fun fact of the day. Today we're counting down three of the spookiest forests in the world.

Speaker: Coming in at number three, we have the Daring Woods in southeastern England. Locals have nicknamed it the Screaming Woods for a terrifying reason. Locals report hearing blood-curdling screams in the middle of the night, along with eerie whispers and phantom footsteps whenever there's dense fog.

Speaker: Several visitors have also reported seeing mysterious lights with no explanation. i don't think I'm camping there anytime soon. Yeah, I don't think so. It would be a good Halloween experience. Oh, yeah, for sure.

Speaker: Number two on our list, the Aoki Gahara Forest, also known as the Sea of Trees in Japan. This one's located at the base of Mount Fuji. The trees are incredibly dense, so dense that they completely block out sunlight in many areas. The forest sits on hardened volcanic lava.

Speaker: which absorbs practically all sound. The deafening silence is so complete that many visitors describe feeling completely cut off from the world. Many hikers who ventured in describe an overwhelming sense of solitude that becomes unbearable after just a short time.

Speaker: And now for our number one spookiest force in the world, Romania's Hoya Basu, nicknamed the Bermuda Triangle of Transylvania. It's actually named after a shepherd who supposedly disappeared there centuries ago, along with his entire flock of 200 sheep.

Speaker: People describe intense feelings of anxiety, nausea, and the constant sensation of being watched from between the trees. And to top it off, there have been many UFO sightings and reports of mysterious orbs of light appearing in photographs taken there.

Speaker: You have to be pretty brave to go to any of these places. You do. All right, the rest of the show will be a little lighter, we promise. Let's jump into a quick round of this or that based on today's forest theme.

Speaker: This or that, which would you less like to encounter in the forest? A skunk or a porcupine? Those are both terrifying to me, but I think I'd have to go with a skunk because at least I could, you know, wash off the smell.

Speaker: I don't want to be hit with any porcupine quills, so I'm good with that. Me either. I know. When I think about that about that scene from Homeward Bound, when Chance gets- the quills on his on his little face. He's cute. looks painful. But yeah, I think I'd have to go with a skunk too, even though I do remember when my dog got sprayed by a skunk and then we all smelled like skunk for weeks and after a while you can't smell it on yourself.

Speaker: ah But anyway. he say that if you go in a bathtub of tomato soup it would help? oh Oh yeah, I'm sure we tried everything with him. I think we did like the vinegar bath. Like no, it really didn't. Some of those might be myths. Yeah.

Speaker: Okay, this or that. 2025 crime shows, Black Rabbit or The Beast in Me. This is tough because both of these shows were really good. yeah Great actors.

Speaker: Yeah, but i and I was really excited for Black Rabbit and then The Beast in Me surprised me because I hadn't really heard of it until it came out. But o this is tough, but I think I have to go with The Beast in Me.

Speaker: Really? All right. I got to go with Black Rabbit. I just love Jason Bateman. And that one that one surprised me. It was really good. um Jason Bateman kind of got snubbed with the Golden Globes, though.

Speaker: Did you see that? Yeah. Only Jude Law was nominated. I think that's insane because his performance was amazing. I actually thought after I watched it, I was like, they're going to win some awards. Yeah. Well, and the show wasn't even nominated for the limited series, but The Beast in Me was. That's I know.

Speaker: I know. Okay. Well, maybe the critics know better than me, but I liked the black rabbit. I don't know. If Claire Haynes doesn't win, like she gave the performance of a lifetime. And now she's really good in everything she does.

Speaker: I did also see that when they, so they added a new best podcast category and Jason Bateman was nominated for his smart list. yeah So, I mean, he's up for something.

Speaker: He didn't get completely snubbed. Yeah, he did. That's awesome. Alright, let's get into the trivia questions. Again, we'll be asking 10 forest-related trivia questions.
