Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is right around the corner, and we’re here to try and help take some of the stress out of it! In this episode, we’re diving into two confusing (but important!) parts of a runDisney weekend: transportation and PhotoPass. From how the provided runDisney bus schedule works to how to get great race photos—we’re sharing everything we’ve learned from doing this a few (okay… many) times.

If you’re gearing up for an upcoming runDisney race—especially Marathon Weekend—this one is for you.

Also, we'd love some help coming up with topics for future episodes of the show. If you have any ideas, feel free to email us at hello@ajanderika.com

Introduction & Stress Management

Speaker
In this episode, we're covering two Run Disney topics. We're diving into everything you need to know about PhotoPass, as well as taking advantage of the transportation rund Disney provides to the expo and races. We've got some helpful tips headed your way.
00:00:21
Speaker
Hey, everyone. Welcome to episode number 24 of the One More Run podcast. My name's AJ. This is Erica. And we are here to help reduce your stress headed into a Run Disney Race weekend. And that next one for a lot of us is Marathon weekend. And I'm sure anxiety is starting to creep up a little bit and starting to get a little stressful.

Understanding Run Disney Transportation

00:00:41
Speaker
So we're just sharing the things that we've learned.
00:00:43
Speaker
From having done this a few times, you know, a lot of times. we've We're just sharing what we've learned. Like today, we're photo pass and transportation. Those things that you're probably going to be tempted to look up on a Facebook group.
00:00:54
Speaker
Right. Right? That's what we're going to be talking about today. I'm excited to cover these things because these are the things that really can reduce your stress if you know how they work. Totally. all right, Erica, we like to read some of the reviews that we get on Apple Podcasts. We've read some YouTube comments before. We get just these really encouraging messages. And it kind of reminds us that what we're doing matters, I think, even if it's just a little bit, that when we're recording these silly things, it's helping somebody. yeah So would you mind reading a recent review?
00:01:24
Speaker
Totally. This one is great addition to my Ren Disney training runs from In Parsons 1. They say episode 18 was exactly what I needed on my 18 mile dopey training run. Can a person be both a two and a three? This is some reference to our Enneagrams that we talked about.
00:01:41
Speaker
And if I remember right, sorry to interrupt the review, episode 18 was the running is hard. Running is hard. Yes. yeah yeah And the answer to that question is you will have one number, but you can wing to the other. So I'm a two that wings to a three and age is a three that wings to a two. That's right. Anyways.
00:01:56
Speaker
And going forward, you guys are so fun, engaging, kind, and sincere. It makes the miles fly by. i really appreciate not only your knowledge of all things Run Disney, but your senses of humor and your openness to share. People like you are what make the Run Disney community so special. That's awesome. That was so incredibly kind. Thank you.
00:02:16
Speaker
And our sense of humor is just Erica and i being Erica and I. Being married for a lot of years. Mm-hmm. Awesome. Thank you for leaving a review. If you leave a review, we'd love to send you some stickers, yep some podcast stickers. Just email us, hello at ajanderica.com. We'll send them to you. um Upcoming topics. like I don't want to get too far into the schedule ahead. By the way, you remember we set this, right? We said we're going to do 29 episodes leading to marathon weekend. Yes. And we're coming down to those last...
00:02:44
Speaker
Last few, right? Because marathon's around the corner. So we really need to dive into what the plan is. Yes, we do. So if if you guys say have any ideas, I'm not kidding. If you have any ideas on what you'd like to hear or you think would be good for us to do post-marathon, we would take those suggestions. You can also use that email address to do that. But one of the topics that we are going to do is next week we're going to have a very special guest to help us come up with the top 10 things you want to do at a Run Disney weekend to get the most out of it. Yeah. To have the best experience, at least from our opinion and the special guests we're going to have on. You're going to love that episode. So do not miss that one.

Navigating Race Day Logistics

00:03:25
Speaker
No. Okay, so let's dive into our topics for today, Jay. The first one is going to be transportation. This is going to be how you get to the races and the expo when you're staying on property.
00:03:35
Speaker
Perfect. We have some disclaimers. We usually have a couple of those things where it's just like, hey, just a heads up. We realize that there are variables here. yeah So real quick, our disclaimers on on transportation is that we've never driven a car to the expo or a race start. We've always taken the bus that's provided by Run Disney. So just a heads up, that's that's a reality for us. yeah we've ah We have not stayed all the resorts. No. So we can't tell you what it's like getting from Wilderness Lodge to the expo. We have not done that one, right? We've never stayed at, I can't even think and i'm of another one we haven't stayed at for a race weekend. I don't know why I'm trying to give you another example. So just know that we have our favorite hotel or resort and we stay there. And then we've never stayed off property. yeah And so getting to a race or getting to the expo, I mean, the the transportation is not provided like it is if you're staying on property. And we've always taken advantage of it. Yeah.
00:04:27
Speaker
Okay. So a big thing that you, that's helpful to understand is that Disney transportation and run Disney transportation are two different things. yeah So the buses that you are used to riding, if you go on a family vacation that are, you know, they're white and they you have Disney on the side or maybe a character and they've got like the little marquee on the front that says where it's headed, you know, Hollywood studios, that's only going to the parks and resorts and things like that.
00:04:50
Speaker
For a run Disney race weekend, they charter Buses, right? They're white or black. They're unmarked. They don't say run Disney. You really don't say anything. They have like a bus number on the front, like in front window. So, you know, when you like get to the expo, what bus number you take back. Like that's really the only distinction. And even the bus stops are different yeah or can be different. Yeah. Right. So just because you are staying at art of animation and you're used to picking up for the magic kingdom at this front spot or whatever, like it might be somewhere else. Yeah. Contemporary. It's somewhere totally different. yeah um
00:05:23
Speaker
It could be close. It could be far. What you're looking for is um like a blue sign that I guess it's called a sandwich sign. I just learned that from you. It's got a run Disney logo on it, you know, frame sandwich sign thing. And they'll, it'll be at a designated spot somewhere near the front of the resort. and we're going to talk about this some more, but there's some resorts even have multiple stops. yeah But we'll talk about that. But just know that it's different. You cannot jump on that, like just bus you're used to. Right. To get to to a run Disney thing. Yeah, totally. So let's talk about getting to the race expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. There's going to be two ways to do this. You can either take a run Disney bus, which is going to be one of those chartered buses. This is not a Disney bus that you'll find. um Or your own car or a ride share.
00:06:08
Speaker
That's right. Let's talk about how to get to the race start. So the race start is, um we have to divide this. Okay. So you've got Magic Kingdom Resorts and every other resort. Okay. Magic Kingdom Resorts, at least this year, I don't know if it's new this year or what, and we've never stayed deluxe, you know, a Magic Kingdom Resort for a race weekend, but it's like monorail only. Oh. And so there is no, and it might be new this year. I don't know.
00:06:33
Speaker
But I've heard of buses getting lost trying to get through and go around. but So maybe they've decided. This will be easier. We're going to go monorail only. There's i like a 30-minute window on marathon day that if you really want to be up at 2 a.m., m you could take a bus. But the bus literally from the Magic Kingdom Resorts is only going to run for 30 minutes. Isn't that crazy? Anyway, I don't know if that's new. That's interesting. But if Marathon Weekend 2026, if you're, you know, gearing up for that and you're staying at ah the Contemporary or Grand Californian, you are the monorail there and back. Like, okay there's there's no bus. all The rest of us, the common folk, we are the bus. There's really no other way to get there or back. There's no Skyliner. There's no boats. You know, and none of that. You're the bus. Or if you've got your own car, you can do that. And I have no idea. Can you book a rideshare for two in the morning?
00:07:23
Speaker
I mean, would assume you can. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. If you're brave enough to do that, fine. Otherwise, take a bus. um The charter buses only go from the resorts to the expo and the race. You can't include a park anywhere in there. right Does that make sense? So you can't go from like the Magic Kingdom to the expo. We learned that the hard way. We'll talk about that and are running it back. And they also don't go to Disney Springs, right? So just know they're providing it for like resort guests. That's really who the run Disney transportation is for, not for park guests. Right. Yeah. Yeah. So at every Disney resort, there's going to be a bus stop with a run Disney sign. And usually some sort of staff person, usually they have like one of those reflective vests on and they're holding a clipboard.
00:08:10
Speaker
Absolutely. Some resorts will have multiple stops. This is probably the moderates that like the moderate resorts that already have multiple stops, like on a big loop for the, for the other run or for the ah Disney buses. And this is where it just kind of gets confusing. You got to know your resort is like, At the front of Coronado Springs, which is a moderate resort, the the charter buses for Run Disney do not pick up where the Disney buses pick up. But at stops two, three, and four around the all the way around the perimeter of the resort, they do use the same stop. Mm-hmm.
00:08:42
Speaker
the The way you know that a run Disney bus will pick up at a bus stop is there will be one of those run Disney signs. yeah If you get to a disney regular Disney bus stop and there's no sign there, the bus is not going to stop That's correct. yeah um And if there's a person, I i make friends with those people. like i just walk right up and I'm like, hi, are you here with run Disney? And they're like they're always taken aback.
00:09:03
Speaker
Why are you talking to me? And I'm like, yeah. I just find out the details. Hey, what time does the bus come? What about, do you know when the next one is coming? Like, and they, they really can't answer all your questions. Yep.
00:09:14
Speaker
You know, they, they, they know a lot. Um, so some of the value resorts, these are going to be like the all stars or pop century art of animation that only have one bus stop. That's,
00:09:25
Speaker
that's where the bus is going to be close to. But just know, because there's only that one bus stop, it's going to be packed on race morning, right? It's not spread out across multiple stops. So just know that it's going to be packed, but don't worry about it. Like they send plenty of buses. It's it's totally fine. Yeah. If you're not staying on Disney property, you are on your own to get to run Disney, which is one of the reasons why we really stress staying on property. It's just easier, but Yeah, you got to take your own car or take a ride share.
00:09:55
Speaker
You know, the but the buses don't help you in any way. For the races, the bus drop you the buses drop you off at the front of Epcot and they pick you up at the finish line. Again, one of the reasons we like to do it. So where, um you know, I mean, it's about as close as you can get for the drop off. The run Disney buses drop you off where the Disney buses drop you off. They pick you up legitimately at the finish line. Right. You're at the finish line and you can see them right there. And so it it does make it pretty easy. Yeah. For the expo, the buses are going to run about 30 minutes before the expo opens and then 30 minutes after it closes.
00:10:28
Speaker
That's right. And all that information, of course, is in the digital event guide thank guide. We leave our resort room at the time that the bus service starts. So this is usually about two hours before the race starts.
00:10:39
Speaker
That's right. And the races start kind of different times, right at least this year. So the the princess weekend might be different than wine and dine. i don't want to get like I don't want to list them all, but let's just talk marathon weekend really fast. okay And it's always in the digital event guide. right right like Don't take our word for it. Go read the digital event guide. But like just so you kind of know how the the timing works on this, the 5K and the 10K, those races start at 3, which is what we're used to for almost every race all season long. right It's at 3 Bus start. Right. Oh, I said race start, didn't I?
00:11:11
Speaker
Race start is five. The bus starts at three. That's what we're used to yeah for almost every run Disney race. This year, though, at the marathon, and I think they did this last year, too. The marathon starts at 430.
00:11:22
Speaker
four thirty Does that sound right? So they're bumping the the the start time of the buses to 2 a.m. Okay. This marathon weekend and maybe future races, I don't know. On marathon day, it's three hours before. Wow. On half marathon day, it's two and a half hours before. Okay. The deal is check your digital event guide. Right. Right. The tip is we leave our room when bus service starts. So whether that is 3 a.m. m because it's a 10K or it's the marathon, even if that's a three-hour gap and we normally like to have a two-hour window, we still leave our room when the bus service starts. right That lets the people who are dying to get on the bus just get on the bus, let a few buses go. Then we kind of stroll up about, what, 10 or 15 minutes later yeah right and hop on the bus. Right. What we do not do is say, I wonder how um ah how late we could sleep in and still catch the bus. We don't play that game. and We do not. Absolutely not. um At the resorts with multiple stops, the buses can be full and getting on at like those stops around the resort. um
00:12:25
Speaker
How do I say like it kind of sucks? Yeah. Because what will happen is it will fill up at like the main stop, but then you have these perimeter stops. Like Caribbean Beach has like how many? Four, five, six. I don't know. However many they have. And the bus is full. Right.
00:12:40
Speaker
And it goes right by. And people freak out. Yeah. And they don't know that it's full. Yeah. And they're standing there and maybe they've been waiting for 15 minutes for a bus. But what is the bus driver going to do? He has a full bus. Right. Yeah. And so. That's why I like to start at one.
00:12:54
Speaker
Not everyone's going be a fan of this, but we go to the first stop, whatever resort we're at, we go to the first stop that that bus is going to make. And you know how you find that out is when you get there and you're going to the expo, you go to the front or whatever, you go to the person with the vest and the clipboard and you say, hi, are you here for Run Disney? And they look at you weird and you say, is this the first stop yep or the only stop or whatever? And they'll tell you be like, oh, no, no, no, this is the third stop. yeah And so you want to find that first stop.
00:13:21
Speaker
Now, what stinks about that is now you have to ride all the way around to all the other stops. Right. But guess what you have? A seat. You have a seat. And if the bus gets full, then you just pass those other stops on your way. And then you feel terrible for all those runners that don't understand that the bus is full. Yes. So we do that. We would rather put the steps in and not deal with, you know, a bus driving past us. Right. Yep. A big thing we like to do too, Erica, is we always thank the driver. Yes. It's an early morning for them. Yes. So you think it's early. Those guys probably got there and gals got there, I don't know, an hour or two before you did. Yeah, totally. And they're they don't even have something and like as exciting to look forward to as you do. Right. You know, they're they're just driving back and forth. So we we make a ah clear point to thank them. Yes. Yeah.
00:14:07
Speaker
Okay. Let's talk about after the race. So in the finish line area, you can't miss it. All of the buses are going to be parked near the family reunion area. There's big balloons and there's big signs for each resort. And you literally just, I mean, couldn't be any closer. No. You just walk up and there's there's bus after bus after bus. You just walk up to the one with your sign. Yeah, totally. They're going to fill them up and send them out. And the next one is almost always right behind it, ready to load. So if you don't get on that first bus, don't worry. You're going to get on the very next one and it's going to leave almost immediately. And this is when you really want to thank your driver because now not only have they gotten up early, but now they're driving a bunch of really smelly runners back to their resort. So it's everything's a little bit crazy and hectic and chaotic. And so again, we just want to give them a shout out.
00:14:55
Speaker
Absolutely. They have to stand there and watch the person lift their leg onto the step, you know, and then they get onto the first step and they're like, they grab the handlebar. Right. Yeah. You're pulling yourself up as hard as you can. And those poor bus drivers, I'm sure they're not allowed to help right for liability or whatever. They just have to watch you like, oh and then they have to watch you try and get off the bus. Right. Yeah. Because down seems harder than up. Yes, it is. Yeah. So, and they're clanking, you know, and trying to get off the bus. They're probably thrilled when someone makes it to the ground. yeah You know, like, okay, good. Awesome. So let's talk about some of the good and the bad things about the provided transportation. Before we do that, I did want to say one other little thing. If you were trying to staff property and loophole and take advantage of the the transportation, right? Because you have to be at a resort. One of the things you might be tempted to do is to park for free at Disney Springs, right? And then try to like catch a bus from there, whatever.
00:15:53
Speaker
The run Disney buses don't service Disney Springs in any way. And so even if you're like, that's okay, I'll park there, catch it. And like, this would like maybe work for the expo, but couldn't possibly be worth it. In my opinion, there's free parking at the expo, right? So like if you're trying to get to the expo and you're staying up property, don't go to Disney Springs to take a Disney bus to a Disney resort to then catch the run Disney bus over to the expo. The parking is free. Yeah. Yeah.
00:16:19
Speaker
At the expo. Now, I guess if you don't have a car, but that whole thing's going to take you forever. That's worth a ride share right there. Yeah, that sounds terrible. Yeah. Anyway, I've kind of like heard people like try to work through that loophole. Don't even do that. There is something I wanted to talk about, Erica, before we wrap up this whole transportation thing. And that is the idea that these run Disney buses are not necessarily just for runners. Right. Right. If you're a spectator or family member staying at the resort, you can catch the bus to the race expo or to the race start. Digital event guide is your savior here, though, because the bus does stop running for a window of time. It's like, hey, 3 a.m. to 4.30 to get all the runners there or spectators there. Then they stop running buses for
00:17:06
Speaker
An hour, two hours, depending on the race. And then they pick bus service back up at like 630, which I think is to get the runners back and to get spectators there. Yeah. Does that make sense? Yeah, totally. And we've not done that, but just a helpful tip. Good to know.

Mastering the PhotoPass System

00:17:22
Speaker
Okay. Let's talk about the good and the bad, Erica, of the provided transportation. a First thing is that it's included in the cost of your registration. So whether you're staying on property or you the the The money that they're paying, those for like it comes out of your registration fee. right right You know what i mean? Or i'm I'm guessing, right? That's not coming out of your resort fee. yeah And so just know that if you pay in that Run Disney thing, you're paying for the transportation. yeah If you don't use it because you're staying off property, well, bummer, but it is included. Yeah. Another good thing is that it's not difficult at all to catch a bus at the resort. It's not. They're right there waiting for you. ah You might may wait.
00:17:56
Speaker
what's the What's the max we've waited? 15 minutes? Yeah, 15 minutes maybe. I feel like that's the longest we've ever. I think we've seen a bus leave and waited maybe 15 minutes and i was already there. yeah Another good is that the buses are at the finish line. I keep saying that over and over. It's just really nice when you're tired. Yeah.
00:18:12
Speaker
Half marathon or marathon, or you've gotten your pineapple cider and now you run and whatever, and you have an alcoholic drink. Like it's just nice that the buses are right there. Yes. Yes. Also, another good is that post-race, everyone is super chatty. It's like a big old party. Everyone's thrilled with the accomplishment they've just done. And it's just fun. Yeah. yeah i've i've I've met more people on the bus after a race right than any other the time.
00:18:37
Speaker
Side note, when you're going to the race, have you noticed like not- It's very quiet. Yeah. It's very quiet. It's early in the morning. Yeah. You know, like nobody's chatting with anybody unless they're like traveling with the person. Right. Yeah. Nobody's like, oh my gosh, I love your outfit. Like the coolest outfit you get on and everyone's like.
00:18:53
Speaker
a Or nervous. One of the two. Or they're hoping to be the first ones to the bathroom. yeah yeah There's a lot on your mind. After the race, it's like. Oh my gosh, how was your race? How was your race? You know? So, yeah. It can be crowded. and That's a bad. I guess I should have said we're moving on to the bad. Is that it can be crowded. Getting to the race, after the race, the line to get on the bus, just no. It can be crowded. But they do, they Disney-fied this thing.
00:19:21
Speaker
yeah they They do it as efficiently as they can. You're not going to be on that bus for six hours. You're not going to be standing in line for four hours. Like, they'll get you there. Yeah. Another bad is post-race.
00:19:33
Speaker
It's going to be kind of stinky. Yeah. Enough said. Yep. Do you want to talk about our first and, or not maybe our first, but, you know some are of our experiences from when we first started doing Run Disney to our most recent ones. So like comparing what we maybe what we've learned.
00:19:49
Speaker
Sure. want to talk through some of those. So I remember my first experience. I needed to get you and I were there. It was princess weekend. I needed to get to the expo because I hadn't been yet. You had, do you remember this? We had to get, we were at the magic kingdom. So we were spending the day at the magic kingdom and I just needed to get to the expo. And so we walk up to the Disney bus at the magic kingdom. I'm like, uh, what bus do we take to get to the expo?
00:20:11
Speaker
And they're like, none of these. None of these. yeah And I was like, okay, well, how do we get there? Like, you need to take a resort bus. I'm like, Okay. And so I was like, we're staying at Caribbean beach. So we went, got and waited like 15 or 20 minutes to get on the Caribbean beach bus, took it to all the way to Caribbean beach, then got on there and then went, now I know you don't have to go to your resort. Right. You can go through any resort. Yes. So now smarter AJ would have like stood back and watched all the bus lines. What's the first Disney bus to get here? Yeah. Just take it to that resort or a resort close to the expo or a resort close to where I'm at. Yeah.
00:20:53
Speaker
Does that make sense? We went out of our way. you right That was my first experience. But again, something you didn't know. And then recently, I would say is, ah for me anyway, Taylor and I, we did a resort hop day. Yeah. where we were trying to go to as many resorts as possible. So we weren't going to any parks or whatever, but we also had to do the expo that day. And so ah it doesn't really, this isn't a tip or anything like that, but we were going and we did like, you know, Art of Animation to the Riviera, to Caribbean Beach, like we were doing boom, boom, boom. And then we went out and did all the Boardwalk Hotels. And then we went all the way out to Animal Kingdom Lodge and all that And so we're taking all the Disney transportation. We're trying to see how many resorts we can get done in one day. And then at one of those resorts, I think it might've been Animal Kingdom Lodge. We caught the run Disney bus over to the wide world of sports, did the expo, then took one of those buses to All Stars and kept going on our resort hopping day. So we just snuck it right in the middle there. Awesome. Let's do our, uh, running it back. Is there anything you would do the same or different? Right. I guess this would go along with like what you've learned, anything you would say, I'm going to do that exactly the way I've always done it or the way I do it now. Yeah. I would just say like one time we took like a ride share type of a situation to the expo and that, I mean, it was fine, but it's just, it was a little bit more complicated. We weren't sure like where, you know, we were going dropped off, picked up, whatever. Like it's just easier to take the bus. So just use the bus. It's so clear. Yeah.
00:22:18
Speaker
You know? yeah And I also said, like running it back, like I also said earlier, like the buses are numbered. You can know your number. That's fine. But the signage is still so very clear. clear. All that really that number does is like, you know, you're on the right bus. Right. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, it's Disney. Yeah. They're going to get you on the right bus. So running it back, I would say, don't worry about that. Just literally follow the the signs. Yeah. You know? And then this thing, that thing I would do the same, and we already talked about this, is I would go to the first stop at my resort. Right. I do that every time.
00:22:50
Speaker
Still do. Yep. right, Erica, I've got a little game for us. By the way, that's everything on on on that. I've got a little game for us. I don't know how well this is going to go. Okay. I haven't told you about this yet. Nope. then then done Okay, so we'll see if if this this is the how would you get there?
00:23:04
Speaker
Oh, okay. Game. The bus. Okay.
00:23:09
Speaker
You think it's so easy, huh? How would you get there? I'll go first. Okay. I'm going to give you a, you here's where you are, here's where you have to get to. Okay. Okay. First one up is you're at the Animal Kingdom. Okay.
00:23:22
Speaker
And you have to get to the expo. Okay. You'd think it'd be easy, but you're at Animal Kingdom. Okay. Which is a park. Correct. So I personally would take the bus from Animal Kingdom.
00:23:40
Speaker
I would take it to All Stars. Okay. And then take a run Disney bus from all stars because that's like across the street from the wide world of sports.
00:23:51
Speaker
Then I would take that there. So even though, even if all stars is not my resort, yes that's how I would get there. Okay. That's very smart. ah All right. You get magic kingdom to the expo. How you getting there?
00:24:02
Speaker
Okay, so my answer is I'm going to see which bus is already there, parked, ready to go, get on it to whatever resort it's going to ok if it's already there and ready to go.
00:24:16
Speaker
What if it's Saratoga Springs, which is out by Disney Springs? Are you getting on that bus? Um, maybe not, but whatever's like around and is like ready to go. Like, you know, sometimes you have to wait like 15 or 20 minutes for a yeah yeah for a Disney bus. right So I think like I would rather just get on the bus immediately go and then hop on the run Disney bus from whichever resort is closest. I have a tip on this one. Yes. What is that?
00:24:42
Speaker
But it was you you got you got the randomized, you got it. I would walk to the contemporary. Okay. Then you don't have to take two buses. Okay. You could walk to the contemporary and just catch the run Disney bus from there. Okay. This one's a totally different. you you want You're at the finish line. Okay.
00:25:00
Speaker
And you want to go to the park. You want to go to Epcot. What do you do? You don't. You go back to your room and shower first. Okay. Please do not be one of those runners that gets nasty and then goes to the park and stinky around other people. That's gross. Let's say you wipe down and you're going to go ride guardians one time and then leave.
00:25:20
Speaker
How do you get from the finish line to Epcot? I mean, I think there's like a walking path. That's right. You can just walk there. I'm like, I think you can just walk there. Yeah. Cause we're already in their parking lot. Yep. That's exactly right. Yeah. Okay. But seriously, go take a shower first. Oh, yes, please do. Last one. You're at the expo and you want to get to Disney Springs.
00:25:41
Speaker
What do you do? Again, you don't go. who We hate Disney Springs. I think everyone listens to our podcast knows that. Yeah, absolutely. If you really want to, you got to go through a resort and one of the, you know, the closer resorts from the expo or whatever you could go to, or that's close to ah Disney Springs is Saratoga or i don't know. i don't even go there.
00:26:04
Speaker
That's part of the map that i don't memorize. Cause I don't even go over there. Okay. Anything else on transportation before we move on to photo pass, you're going to be our resident expert on this one. No, I got nothing else for you. Oh, nothing on transportation. No, nothing good on transportation. good, because I know you're going to have lots to say about PhotoPass. Okay, if you're out on a run or in the car or whatever, just know that this is part two of this episode. We are going diving deep on the how and, or on the what and the how of PhotoPass. If you don't know what PhotoPass is, Erica, hook us up.
00:26:35
Speaker
PhotoPass is a service provided by Disney where they will take your photo on the course during the race, at character stops, and at the race expo. That's right. You might get confused because PhotoPass is also the name of the photographers in the parks, but it's the same team. Right. But they use them for Run Disney as well. um You'll be able to, just so you know, see the watermarked version of the photos that they take of you. If you wanted your picture taken or not, like they'll take it on the course, right? You'll be able to see like watermarked versions on your app or on the Disney website, and you can decide if you want to purchase
00:27:10
Speaker
any of those photos you can buy like the the package thing or you can buy individual ones if you have like the memory maker thing that they sell you know like the all access to your photos right if you have that for your trip like these photos from your race are included in that price right so sometimes that can be a really good deal especially if you're you know you've you bought it for multiple days and you're doing multiple races you can also buy the photos individually if you're there's just one i think We've never done that. So I'm 99.9% sure. if you just want a photo, you can do that. It's going to be obviously more pricey for that one than like the price isn't higher, but like, you know, the unit cost, all that that kind of stuff.
00:27:50
Speaker
Like you said, it's the same photographer as in the parks, but for the races, it links a little differently to your Disney app or your Disney account. That's right. So in the parks, you scan your magic band, your room key or your app and the photos show up right like on the in the My Disney Experience app or or whatever. This is what you do at the expo. Yeah. Right. So when you go to the expo, they're going to say, you know, the, the photo pass guys are there. They have characters wherever they take, they'll take your picture. And because the races haven't started yet, they will, you know, scan a magic band or scan a a room key or whatever. yeah but But, um, on the race course, it works differently. Yeah. So all race day photos are associated with your bib number. So your bib has to be showing in every photo. That's how they're going to link all those photos to you. And you don't have to do anything. You don't have to show them your match band or or anything. It's one of the reasons they say, there's two primary reasons I think they say wear your bib front and center. Right. One is for security safety. They know you're supposed to be there. You've paid you know your entry fee and all that stuff. And then part two is that their high tech system can scan your number. yeah It will send it to you. That's right.
00:28:55
Speaker
Right. Okay. So your check-in pass, you're going get this. I think, when do we get check-in passes? I think a week before usually a week before your race, it's going to have a unique photo pass ID on it that you're going to use in the app or on the website to associate your bib number to your account. Right? Like that's how you link the two together. Um, and then every photo from then on that has your BIM number in it, like it's going to show up automatically. You don't have to enter that link multiple times yeah or whatever. Like once you put it in for a race, it it's already going to show up. Yeah. So for character stops, you'll wait in line. And when it's your turn, a cast member can take your phone to take a photo as well as the photo pass photographer. When you get there, just know that the PhotoPass photographer is going to take one photo, right? i don I have not had a situation where they're like needing to take it again. no So the cast member might snap a few with your phone, but the PhotoPass person goes click and you get out. Yep. You get in, you get out.
00:29:50
Speaker
Totally. So for on course race photos, you'll see the lighting if it's dark and green tents on either side of the course. Each tent will have a photographer in it and they'll do their best to take your picture as you run or walk by. So you want to look for those light stands up in the air as you get close and those green tents, that'll be your sign. And then when you find yourself in the wave of light on the ground, that's when you want to smile. That's when they'll be taking your photo. This a little bit harder when the sun comes up to know exactly when they're taking your picture. Right. But the green tents are what you want to look for and know that those cameras are pointing at you. Okay. The course photos will be in visually interesting spots. Right. Um, usually within the parks or public areas like the boardwalk, what they're not going to be is like on the road, not on the highway. Um, and, and you, for the most part, backstage areas, the only backstage areas that's going photos is like character stops. But if you're just running down, whatever world drive, don't expect to see green tents or lighting at any time on there. Just character stops.
00:30:55
Speaker
Which is the next thing I'm saying. Perfect. Yes. Character stops will be on the road and backstage. That's right. Just like AJ just said. We're all over the place. We are. Tips for annual, or this is a tip for annual pass holders. We mentioned the memory maker thing, but for annual pass holders, if you have the photo option added to your annual pass, yeah all your race photos are included europe in that.
00:31:19
Speaker
So you don't have to buy the memory maker or anything separate from that. Yeah, totally. The photos will start showing up in your account a couple of hours after the race and they'll trickle in all day. Sometimes it takes as long as 12 hours. So just keep checking back. I know I've sat there like 12 minutes after the race and i'm like, where are my photos? yeah For some reason, I think that the photographer should magically be able to just like give me all my photos when I want them. Yes. Well, I think it's because Disney spoiled us with like your regular park photos. Like those come in so insanely fast sometimes. I don't know how they do that. Yeah, I don't know. i guess maybe they're somehow connected to the Wi-Fi and everything in the park. Right, yeah. So they must be streaming. I'm acting like i know what i'm talking about. You know, magically getting them to but if you're out in like middle of nowhere. Right. You know, out on World Drive taking character photos. I don't know. I'm sure they don't have the service or whatever. Yeah.
00:32:11
Speaker
I don't know. Anyway, just be patient. Yeah, which I'm not good at. um The photos are going to stay in your account, your Disney account for one year.
00:32:22
Speaker
I have gone back and made sure before that year is up that I downloaded exactly what I was looking for. Right, yeah. Okay. So this is kind of random. If you've got the memory maker or you've purchased the, you know, the add on on your annual pass, you can add up to five bid numbers per race to your thing, right? It's included in the price.
00:32:43
Speaker
Hopefully that doesn't change and make me a liar or whatever, like policy wise or whatever, but like you and I, like I add me, I'm included. I paid for the yada yada. I had you and I add our daughter Taylor and then, you know, our friends, Zach and Jesse or whatever. I can add them. They don't have to be like linked to my Disney account or whatever. I can add up to five. Yep.
00:33:03
Speaker
If that makes any sense. So you could get a good, good value that way. Let's talk about some how to things. Let's talk about um on the course. So we've talked about like basically what PhotoPass is and what to look for and all that stuff. um These are just some like, and some of it's going to feel redundant, but this is like some how to's, right? Like do this. Yes. Go for it. So when you see the lights or the green tins coming up, check your surroundings first before you get there. And then please don't stop. These photos are meant to represent your running. um
00:33:33
Speaker
Pull over and collect yourself if you need to before you get to the photographer. So if you want to do like a fun pose, you know, we try to do things that are close to our body, you know, like a thumbs up or something like that. So we're also, you know, not in anybody else's way. Um, but if you want to do like a fun jump pose or something, um, just, you know, maybe make sure no one is around you. Make sure that, you know, if you need to pull over and get yourself ready first, do that. If you're going to be doing airplane arms out wide or something, just make sure that you're not blocking someone behind you. Wouldn't you hate it if it happened to you? Yeah.
00:34:05
Speaker
Um, okay. So if it's dark out, look at where the lights are hitting the ground. Erica kind of said this a second ago, that's where they're taking your picture, right? Like they don't use a flash. Right. At least on their course photos whatever they do on the character photos, but you're not going to know necessarily that they took that picture unless some somehow you magically hear the click, click, click, right or you're the only one going through at that time. You might be able to tell. But you really, sometimes you don't even know that they got your picture until you check the app. yeah um And if you want a picture with someone, you need to be really close to them. Erica and I learned this one early. yeah I mean, you got to be like elbows touching or like a little bit of space right there. right Because if you're like, they're looking for racer, runners, right? yeah right And so if you, Erica and I want our picture together, we stand really close. And then the way we guarantee it at the finish line is Erica grabs my hand and
00:34:58
Speaker
holds my hand across the finish line. And then they know, well, I think they're together. They're holding hands. yes so And when we're running, we'll try to do like some sort of coordinating pose or something. certain so yeah And I feel bad for them because they have to make split millisecond decisions right right because there's thousands of runners coming at them. yeah And I bet they're mentally exhausted at the end of the day. So if you want to be, you know, make it make it clear, right? So when you and I are dressed as Mickey and Minnie, yeah and we're next to each other, and we're doing the same pose, all that makes it a lot easier on them right to be able to take that picture. Yeah. Now we talked about taking pictures with one other person, but please do not try and take big group shots on the course. Right. Um, for so many reasons. I mean, you just, you don't want to cause a traffic jam. Um, you know, you don't want to be blocking the road if you're walking and runners are trying to get around you. Um, a good place to do this is with characters. So either before the race starts or on the race course with the character stops, just get in and out quickly. Well, it's actually a real benefit. Like if there's 10 people in line and they all go in for that photo, that's right it's awesome because the line just like jumps forward. right And so, yeah, do your group pictures with a character not on the course. right um There are not, and this, I had to learn this one, there are not photos taken at the start of the race. Just know that you're a my you're a mile in at least, minimum, before you're going to see the first photo opportunity. right And your on-course photo opportunity is probably not for a few miles. yeah There are lots of photographers at the finish line though oh yes a lot lots of them they've got like some up on stands and they've got i think they've got some that are like automated you know what i mean like there's not like they're just snapping pictures like crazy yeah they're wide shots you know and then they have some on the ground too you know and if you can like connect with one of them yes you know what i mean and you're looking right down the barrel of their lens as you come across there they'll get your picture yeah they will
00:36:47
Speaker
Awesome. Yeah. um Let's talk character stops. So the line for a character will most likely have a cast member at the end of it with a sign of who the character is. And also before you get there and see the sign, usually if they have the music, it will be playing. So if you hear Winnie the Pooh playing, then you know that Winnie the Pooh and friends are will be there. So yeah, music you can usually hear coming up. That's right. Right. Like even before you see the character stop, it's just kind of a nice little hint. Totally. Like, oh, all right. I need to pull over. Right. ah The characters switch out occasionally. Erica just said and friends. And that's that's a bummer sometimes because, you know, if Winnie the Pooh is your character, right it will say Winnie the Pooh and friends. Or it'll say friends of whoever. Those are the sub-characters.
00:37:36
Speaker
but They're the what? I called them... I said sub-characters. You know, like not the... They're the supporting characters. Sub-characters are characters too, Erica. They are. have feelings. I'm trying to think of a good example of... Who, I don't know. who would you call sub-character? Okay, like, well, a supporting character would be like Lumiere and Cogsworth instead of Beauty and the Beast. And you really wanted your picture with Belle? Right, yeah. Got it. So they switch out, okay? And I don't know the exact timing on it. don't know if you do, Erica. No. They don't take a break. Like in the parks, they take a break. Right.
00:38:11
Speaker
Stitch or Belle or Goofy, they will leave and they say they're coming back in 15 minutes. Right. They don't do that on the course yeah because they can't hold everybody up. What will happen is Powerline Max will go into the you know into his- the Trailer?
00:38:26
Speaker
Yeah. His his ah rest area and ah someone else will come out. Right. Friends from the movie will come out and take his spot until Max returns. Right. And chances are you just missed that character because you're not going to wait the 15 minutes. No. To- ah to to see him So anyway, someone is always there, I guess is what I'm trying to say. Someone's always there. Actually, I'm taking that back.
00:38:49
Speaker
If the weather is bad, then their character is not there. Have you ever had that before? Yeah. I've had that where it started raining and the character can't be out in the rain, right? So I got up to a photo a photo spot, whatever. It was like a ghost town. You could see their backdrop and nobody. Somebody was here, but not anymore. That's right. Yeah. The sub characters had to go on break as well. Yeah. Now, if you want to have the cast member take your photo with your phone, make sure that you have that ready with the camera app open when you hand it to the cast member. They want to do this as quickly and smoothly as possible. yeah They don't need to be trying to navigate your phone to figure out how your phone works. Right. Just have that camera app open. um I say know where you're going. We've talked about this before. Erica has her side of the character. i have my side of the character. I know my pose. She knows her pose generally or wherever. We've either talked about it or we just know because we've been married. But don't don't get up there and kind of be like, oh, you know what I should maybe start thinking about? No, no, no. Just think about it. Am I going to the right or the left? You what i mean? Or is it clear that you're supposed to go to one side or the other? I got my photo with Lotso Huggin' Bear and it was clear that
00:39:54
Speaker
photos he i was supposed to stand on one side right yeah yeah i would also say smile take your picture and go out the opposite way you came in right like you're coming in from the left smile ca cheese and boom you're out what does ca cheese mean i was just gonna say what the heck was that cheese a ca chow it was ca chow and i've never had my picture with lightning so i don't know what a ca cheese is It's a new phrase, new sticker. Anyway, cheese and leaf.
00:40:24
Speaker
Cheese and leaf. There's another one. Okay. Goodness gracious. Oh, gosh. Okay. Photo ops and characters are at the start line area and finish line areas, and those work the same way. So those lines usually are a tad longer and move slower, but there will be photo opportunities. one's in a real hurry on those ones, right? That's right. And so they are more willing to line up.
00:40:44
Speaker
Just know that those do close a certain amount of time before the race starts if you're trying to go in the morning. so um There would be a point where the cast member says, we can't you can't get in this line. or they'll say, you can get in the line, but we can't guarantee that your photo will be taken because if the race starts, you know they'll close it. Yes, so

PhotoPass Pros and Cons

00:41:02
Speaker
that's exactly right. yeah Okay, so let's talk about how to access your photos. right You can could do that in the My Disney Experience app or you can do it on the Disney website. If you're in the app, you want to go to your photo gallery. I think it's in the...
00:41:13
Speaker
I mean, just go to like the main menu, like the the hamburger yeah or whatever. You're looking for the photo gallery. You're going to want to link your photos. There's a link photo at like thing at the top. Type to link photo pass card is the exact phrasing. You're going to take that check-in pass ID and you're going put it in at at that spot. You only have to do that once. But once you link it, your photos will show up there. Yeah. The photos are going to have a watermark on them because they want you to buy them. But if you've purchased the Memory Maker, you can download your photos straight to your device or they have options to buy prints or gifts through a third party website. We've never bought any of those gifts, but we've always gotten the digital ones. yep And yeah, it works great. Okay, let's talk about our first and most recent experiences or stories worth sharing or anything like that. um
00:42:01
Speaker
Here's my PhotoPass and this doesn't have anything to do with like how it worked. I just remember on our first race together, how awkward it was trying to time it right or figure out our poses or anything like that. So I say that to say like, it was awkward for us the first time. And now we're, we're just old pros. We know exactly that. You'll just be like jazz hands or something. I don't know. Thumbs up. Like, yeah, we just plan as we're approaching. Yeah. You know, you're like, uh, you want to hold hands? You know, like, it's like, like fast, like we've just got our thing. But I remember in the beginning, was awkward. Yeah. Well, the first race, you didn't even know that they were there. You've talked about that before. didn't run that first race with you. Right. So I was like totally caught off guard. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I have one good picture from that race because I was like, oh, wait. Wait, they took our photos? That's a photographer. Yeah. Look for the green tents, folks. Uh-huh. Erica, do you have any PhotoPass stories from- I mean, I have stories of like people stopping in front of me and like me crashing into them and whatever. Ooh, I got a list of those. Yeah, lots of those, but nothing really-
00:43:02
Speaker
um I have a couple of crash ones. You know, ones that's gotten me a few times is people who stop on the other side of the finish line. Oh, yeah. And they stop right there. And it's my personality type. When I come into the finish line, it doesn't matter if I walked the whole thing. I'm like, oh, there's the finish line. And I come running in like I've been running ah the sprint the whole time. Right, yeah. And then other people, are like they get across the finish line for that photo, and then they stop dead in their tracks. And I have, I mean, completely crashed into somebody. And I don't really know whose fault it is in that scenario.
00:43:34
Speaker
I feel like it's the person who stopped. Okay. Any any other good? Oh, I have another funny one. ok There's one of us where we were walking. I think it was on the marathon. Yes. And we were like, oh shoot, there's a photographer. And like, I think like we're mouthing, like we were walking or something like, and they got our photo. Yeah. yeah Anyways, and we were on a break. Yes. Okay. Okay. Um, you ready to talk good and the bad? Yeah, totally. What's the good that comes out of this? Yeah. At a photo pass. Yeah. So the quality of the photos is great. Yeah. Um, this is not usually the case when you do like a local race, but these photos are really good. Yeah. They're like actually good trained photographers. Yeah. They're very good. Um, another good thing is that once the sun comes up, the photos start looking really good. Sometimes in the dark, it's like a little hit or miss, but once the sun comes up, it looks really good. Yeah. Oh, sorry. yeah
00:44:24
Speaker
I literally just said what you typed out. That's okay. Then you get the next one. Go ahead. Okay. um So a bad is that if it's crowded, your photos are not going to be as great or you may not get as many. Yeah. It's, it's, again, it's the poor photographers. I don't envy the, you know, the situation. If there's 200 people running around them at the board, on the boardwalk and they're all coming from Corral G, like what are they supposed to do? Yeah. You know, like I see them just like, like, blah, blah, blah, blah. trying to get as many people as they can, but you're going to miss people. They're going to miss people that were running together. you know, like I feel bad for them. And that's just the reality. The more crowded it is, it just less chance you're going to get a good photo. Yeah. um And then the last bad is that it comes at an additional cost. Uh, these things are, you know, the race run Disney things like that's expensive. You get

Community Tips & Personal Insights

00:45:12
Speaker
that you, once you start adding in the race entries and your costumes and your fuel and your travel and your resort and your Disney tickets, like it starts adding him up and then there's, Oh, by the way, you want these photos? You're going to pay for them. The good though, like we talked about is that they're good photos. They're photos worth buying in my opinion absolutely because, uh, the memory is there.
00:45:33
Speaker
right You got the medal to remember. You've got the photo of how good you look. You worked hard on that outfit. If you ran with some friends, you got the that proof. yeah yeah Anyway, I think that's it's a bad that it costs. It's good that they're actually really good. Yeah. They're worth the money.
00:45:48
Speaker
I agree with that. Yeah. I agree with that. We've never not boughten the photos. No. Okay. That was PhotoPass. Do you have anything else on PhotoPass, Erica? I don't think so. Just remember to thank your photographer.
00:45:59
Speaker
Oh, we didn't talk about that. Yeah. We usually, when we pass them, we'll thank them for being out there. And you can tell that it means a lot that someone has like acknowledged the fact that they're there, that they appreciate, you know, them getting up early and being in the freezing cold. We're running. so you know, we're warm, but marathon weekend, it can be really cold for them sitting there. So just, yeah just appreciate them. For sure. Absolutely. Awesome. Great. If you guys have any questions about PhotoPass even transportation or You got questions or if you have suggestions. Yeah.
00:46:32
Speaker
Like, or for something we didn't cover and you're like, oh, but what about, or, oh, I have a suggestion, you know, a tip. Yeah. Like, let us know. Yeah. And then we'll share it, right? Absolutely. Like, we we we want to learn from you. We are not, we've said this a bunch, we're not experts. No. You know, we're just sharing what we know. So if there's something we don't know and you you know it and it's accurate, we'd love to we'd love to share that information and pass it along.
00:46:52
Speaker
Okay, Erica, let's talk a quick ah few things on yeah like ah Where we are, we're marathons right around the corner. And so we're four weeks out or less, I think, by the time this episode releases here and in a couple of days. So let's talk a couple things marathon related. yeah The courses came out.
00:47:10
Speaker
Yep. Any comments or thoughts on the course maps? I have a comment. It's not really going to apply to anybody else but me. Okay. Any, like let's get there. Yeah. Any comment on like, oh, I love that they this, or oh, wow, not much changed, or like any comment like that, like ah generally.
00:47:26
Speaker
No. I would say they didn't change very much. Like there's minor things that I could see that changed. You do a better job of like remembering each individual course race yeah from every of the like what feels like hundreds of run Disney races that we've done, but I do not. so I keep all the maps. That's why. i know. You have them along with your ah property map where you know where every hotel is. Exactly.
00:47:51
Speaker
Yeah, but when we're running, I'm like, hey, don't worry, such and such is coming up. yeah That's right, yeah. And yeah. Okay. So the courses didn't change very much. We're still doing the start on the world showcase, which I know a lot of people are not a fan of. I actually enjoyed the hot take. I actually liked starting there. Um, then go up to the magic kingdom.
00:48:10
Speaker
know what I mean? you've got a lot of time in magic kingdom, do the terrible parking lot in the magic kingdom parking lot. and It's a little bit different, but it's the same idea. Yeah. And we'll head over to animal kingdom by way of the smelly facility.
00:48:24
Speaker
Animal Kingdom. What you call that? Blizzard Beach. It's the same thing. Over to Hollywood Studios. Literally, if you sneeze while you're in Hollywood Studios, you might miss it because you just like go beep and just ride out the thing. Although my favorite spectator ever was in that little tiny stretch off of Sunset Boulevard. Our first marathon, this dude was like, AJ, you got it. And he was like high-fiving, you know what I mean? Yeah. And I was hurting, you know, and it was our first marathon and that pushed me for two miles, that guy. And so I can't knock on Hollywood Studios too much. Then you boardwalk and whenever you come back into Epcot and you're back. And I make sound like it was really easy. Yeah. Right. You just kind of do this little thing, you know what mean? But, uh, anyway, that the map is for, at least for us, we're doing the marathon. It is very similar to last year. What's your personal thing that only applies to you that you want to comment?
00:49:18
Speaker
Yeah. My personal thing is that I, um, am going to walk the first couple of miles. And so I was kind of bummed that I probably will not make it to the castle. Reminder, Erica, you have your injury. We mentioned this in a previous episode. We don't need to belabor this point, but you're not finishing because you have a broken toes. And so you're going to start. yes Go. Starting. And so, ah of course, like the the most magical part is is Main Street. Yes. um But I think I'm not going to make it all the way That's a long way. It's nine miles. Yeah. I don't and i mean, i would probably try to push through, but I don't think it's safe. So, yeah.
00:49:54
Speaker
So that's one thing that's kind of a bummer for me, but it's all good. So let me ask you, and i don't think I've asked you this yes in in IRL, right? It's like two miles and you're out of Epcot already. yeah And then like miles, whatever, two or maybe three, but from there all the way to mile nine is just highway. yeah Like how much of that do you plan or are you thinking you're going to endure? Because there's not much to see. The only thing to see really or experience will be character stops if they have them. Like what are you thinking you might do?
00:50:26
Speaker
Honestly, i think I'm going to wait a few more weeks to decide. ok I mean, I know we it's not that far away, but yeah and if I'm feeling really good, like the week before marathon and I continue to feel good when we get there and we're walking around property, I might try to go a little bit further. okay i might try to get a few more like fun characters, photos or whatever. And that would be the benefit, right? It's not, I'm going to go and see how far I can go to see how far I can go. No, that doesn't help you really. Right. Yeah, no. Plus, I really, really want to go to the finish line to cheer people on as they come in. So I want to make sure that I leave enough time to like get back.
00:50:58
Speaker
Okay. Yep. Perfect. Cool. um The only other thing related to just us stuff or whatever is we finally... finally figured out our costumes yeah for the marathon, which it's funny because normally we don't have such a hard time.
00:51:12
Speaker
We normally like, hey, Erica, do you want to do Star Wars? Yeah, Star Wars sounds fun. And then we just do. Yeah. Right. why Why do you think we had such a hard time? Yeah. So the thing is that we always like to dress as Mickey and Minnie for marathon. Yep. We just do like a variation of Mickey and Minnie. right. right. So now we're kind of like, not that we're running out of variations. It's just that some, you may not you may not recognize unless you're like a hardcore Disney fan. right And then of course, like the colors and things play into it. You know, like like there's some really cool Steamboat Willie costumes. Yeah.
00:51:43
Speaker
But they're like just gray. Black and white and gray, yeah. And we've taken so many run Disney photos now. We know that like those colors do not photograph well. Nope. Which no worries if that's your costume. But like the brighter, you know, colors. Deep, bold, bright colors work better for us and our skin tones and the lighting and all yeah that stuff. We know that now, yes. Yeah. So ah so that that plays a factor too. So we it was a little bit of a challenge, but we settled in a good place. We did. Do you want to reveal do you want to save it for Marathon? Oh, I don't care. It's up to you.
00:52:12
Speaker
It's not like we're like massive costume people. that No, we're not. going to be Wow. I can't believe they pulled that off. Wow. They went on Etsy and bought a shirt. Wow. Yeah. We're not, we're we're not, we're not even coming close to Kristen or anything like that. Yeah. So, uh, we, we were going sorcerer Mickey on this one. Yeah. Fantasmic Mickey is what I call it. Right. Right. So my shirt is blue with the stars and the moon and whatever. it looks like his kind of coat.
00:52:35
Speaker
Yeah. Right. It says coat, right? Yeah. Yep. And then ah cool hats. I'm the most excited about the hats. So mine's a ball cap. Erica's is a visor. They're red with the broom on it. You know what I mean? Like a gold broom on there. my eye Mine has ears, yeah you know, and they're the matches coat. And so pretty excited that, ah you know, I love Fantasmic. I don't necessarily love like ah watching the movie Fantasia, but Fantasmic holds a deep place in my heart yeah growing up with it. you know Well, yeah. And like some of our first dates were like sitting. We'll have to tell that story one day. Yep. Sitting watching Fantasmic.
00:53:13
Speaker
So anyway, we finally figured out our costumes. Again, we just do like themed t-shirt, maybe a hat, maybe a, so yeah, Erica, not me. We do a skirt, you know, that kind of coordinates and whatever. We don't do like the full, you know, tree of life, you know, right big old thing. So anyway, we finally figured that out. So now four weeks out.
00:53:33
Speaker
Well, actually we should wait for them to arrive before I say we're stress-free. They're in the mail, I think. Yes. Anyway. Okay. That's it. Anything else? No. Okay, good. Join us next week because it's going to be a very, very, very fun and special episode. So exciting. Because of the guests that are joining us. yeah Trust me, you do not want to miss it.
