Speaker: Hi!

Speaker: Welcome back to Fixated podcast with us, Ellen and Joelle. I'm Ellen. And I'm Joelle. This is a podcast where we talk about all the media and culture and stuff we just can't look away from. The things we just can't get over. And why it all matters so much to us. This is a fun episode. We talk about primetime.

Speaker: by lance oppenheim starring robert pattinson we talk about the love hypothesis and we go over our top 10 TV shows of the 21st century. A fun discussion. I enjoyed it. All across the board, this episode, yeah, we hit a lot. It was lovely. As we often are, which is why you tune in. It's why you love us. I hope you enjoy the episode and um yeah, just keep listening.

Speaker: So much is up this week. Oh my God. So much is up. Exactly. Exactly. we actually have the better Billion things, yeah. Yes, yes. Very busy couple of weeks.

Speaker: Full two weeks, full month, I guess. Low -key, we're in a new month. We are happy.

Speaker: October. I had to think which one it was. um Yeah. Spooky season, as they say. um Which, like, yeah, I guess we we could lean in at some point in time this month, I guess. We should, because fall is, like, maybe the best season for movies, like, vibe -wise. Uh -huh. I was thinking about whether we were going to enter for, however it may come across, I don't know, a cozier vibe um on the pod. I mean, I guess I'm wearing some nice sweater. I've got a little nice sweater moment on. Exactly. Exactly. Look at that. so Maybe next week I'll light a candle or something. something as we go oh i'll try to maybe i'll turn off all the lights maybe we should record at night recording the dark for october correct a really good idea that'd be huge i wonder how that would change the vibes exactly for our audio only listeners we can have like spooky ghoul sounds in the background exactly exactly remember how our one friend used to play that prank yeah One of our friends play used to play this prank. I guess.

Speaker: It probably was year round, but in my mind, obviously most appropriate. at this time of year one of my favorite things that ever happens because it was consistent it was regular yeah she would connect or be connected or whatever to whatever like bluetooth speaker something like that in the room leave the room

Speaker: usually leave the room which isn't even necessary but leave the room that was just part of it yeah and then start playing like like ghost sounds or something like that spooky music we were like creaking of haunted house doors like things like that And she was really tickled by that. She was. It was awesome. Like more than anyone else. Sometimes she'd be like, you guys, what is that? I find that very charming. It's ridiculously funny.

Speaker: So we could get some of those vibes going. I think that would be cool. vibe yeah But yeah, here we are. Hey, here we are. So we have a lot on the docket, Loki. So let's just jump right to it. I'll ask the question to you, dear Ellen. got what Is your non -media fixation this?

Speaker: episode. Oh my god, mine is so good this episode. i this this is' Sorry, not to toot my own horn, but it's really exciting for me. I went to Boston this past weekend to visit a very dear friend of mine. and i learned that this friend lives right next to one of the most important national monuments of our time. I think to me, something that means so much to me, which is of course the Boston cop slide.

Speaker: No way! right there and i got to visit it it was incredible to see it in real life I didn't get to go down it because it was a Saturday and there were children there and that felt... like it would have been strange so i didn't but i will return and under the cover of night someday I will be on that slide. it's like Literally one of my favorite things. it's

Speaker: ever happened is that boston yeah yeah that's fucking hilarious there's no beating that oh that's huge it was huge that's so funny for anyone who knows me knows that like how big this is yeah It was a huge moment. So that's my big fixation of the week. I've been really thinking about that a lot since it happened. Yeah. Since I got to visit in person. Boston, man. is Now I gotta go too. I have everything. This place has everything. Exactly. It was awesome. Oh my goodness. Why was I thinking about Boston?

Speaker: I'm literally thinking about Stella Lefty. I was like, why is Boston so on the mind right now? Boston's really been in the zeitgeist as of late. Yeah. Okay. She was there, maybe.

Speaker: Yeah. Who knows? First and only Stella Lefty mentioned. Yeah. um Anyway, yeah. yeah How about you, Joelle? What is your non -media fixation? of

Speaker: Well, you see, I'm pivoting from something that was truly, purely existential. We're going to spare the people. um and i was gonna go straight for like Maybe it counts as media. Maybe it doesn't. Who cares? We make the rules. Exactly. As we've said. My fixation is going to be a concert going.

Speaker: Yeah, we we went to a concert recently. um I went up to New York. As I might have mentioned in our ah last episode, actually.

Speaker: we went to phoebe bridgers at barclays and it was awesome and i was just really thinking about How much I freaking love going to concerts. I was talking to a friend while we were in New York. And she was going to the Geese concert that was yesterday. yeah um Another friend was going to the Strokes concert. And I was like, ugh.

Speaker: I just, I miss... Not being able to go to as many. I'm really trying to go to one in October that I think is more likely to happen than not if I haven't waited too long. I really want to go see Ryan Beatty. But yeah, the Phoebe concert. Was awesome. Oh, my God.

Speaker: It was just incredible. incredible stuff, obviously. yeah like the most beautiful thing good so good well she puts on a show she puts on a really good show to ask a formal question what was your Hmm. I was going to say high, low, Buffalo. um What was your, I guess, favorite part? Yeah. Why not? I feel like it might be hard to choose, but.

Speaker: if there's anything that really stood out to you. I don't know. I think actually, maybe this is like a silly answer. um But I said to you, she was wearing this cute little black dress and black little loafers and black little socks. And when she came out.

Speaker: post i think it was for the encore she was wearing the same outfit only in white with like a white little dress and the white little loafers and socks and with the lights they had on her she was like glowing and she had obviously this ethereal makeup going on yeah it was just such a fun cute little detail but she was wearing the exact same thing but all in white now like a little angel yes i love that obviously The singing part was like.

Speaker: but But yeah, it's such a cute little Yeah, it was super cute. I love that. The thing that I keep on just like thinking, okay. One of my favorite parts about it in general. as this whole like Tor keeps... keeps going i really love that people are like drawing, illustrating.

Speaker: i love it because it's like boneless i love that i love it i think it's awesome if i had an even tiniest bit of talents in that department um i think that would be really fun to participate in but

Speaker: I simply do not. So I love that and kind of like Relatedly, One of the like illustrations that I saw at some point was someone trying to illustrate how the lights were going at the end of Lost Weekend. um And I loved that part of the concert. I thought that was so cool. there Yeah. the

Speaker: lighting design stuff was so sick incredible like obviously it was just the coolest thing yeah yeah without the phones like with the lack of phones they were just able to to do something incredible and it was so yeah god it was so cool it was awesome it was so good and i think just a lot of the like the album is full of such cool instrumentation moments. um and production moments and stuff. And I really like how they...

Speaker: came across on stage in the live show it was sick it was so sick everything felt sounded so like full and fun and energetic when it needed to be and then of course there was despair yeah honest and despair and emotion as well i love like an audience that really like wants to be there too and with her is it's exactly that which Kind of similarly, like I was going to not to.

Speaker: steal your no no um i also was just at a moona show this past weekend love moona and they also put on an incredible show and it's kind of the same thing with like Their shows are just the most fun because everyone is so... excited to be there and it's just so much fun but one of the things i wanted to mention about that show too i was really thinking about like It seemed...

Speaker: I don't know what the actual connection is, but it seemed to me like it was really inspired by the Phoebe show because the light design was incredible. It was so cool. They were doing some really cool stuff with the lights and the screens, but also.

Speaker: Almost nobody had their phones out. which I haven't really experienced outside like an actual no phone show. It was just so cool. I was i was like, this is... crazy like it was just everybody voluntarily Didn't have their phone number. It was so cool. That's really cool. It's like Phoebe's Impact. I'm i'm giving it to her. I don't know if it was actually related, but I'm going to give it to her.

Speaker: yeah totally but yeah i really liked the no phones thing i didn't miss it and Truly not even a little bit. The only way I did is that I do not have that good a memory. and So I just wanted one photo to see. Just.

Speaker: what it looked like or where i was or anything just to remember the night kind of yes yes but i did have really good fucking seats and if we could have taken a really good one we have taken one picture of us all together yeah memorialize that memorialized that That's true, I would like that. Absolutely a worthy cause, worth giving them up for. How incredible it was. Cause it was just so like, it felt so. present and fun exactly just like yeah

Speaker: It was sick. It was sick. Some more concerts like that. Yeah, definitely. I wonder how that's going to become a thing if a lot more artists are going to start doing things like that.

Speaker: yeah i would i would hope so yeah i'd be open to it really cool yeah the yonder pouch Stocks rising. Go yonder. Yeah, exactly. You want to invest. Get your stock advice here. This is a really good one. Should we dive right in? I think we can. We've got a lot to say movie yeah we this well. We are moving. This is good. But yeah, let's jump right into it. You go first, Ellen. Okay. Going back and forth, volume back and forth. Yeah, sure. Your media fixations for this episode. We have so many this week, but a first good one. Let's jump into it. primetime with robert pattinson yes by lance oppenheim Oh my God. That was incredible. I loved it. I really liked it. I really liked watching it. And then just like.

Speaker: after sitting on it. it grew even more on me. i think Yes, I completely agree. I completely agree. I feel like we saw it together. Yay. And so we were able to also like debrief a little bit. together and i remember my immediate i know i know like it just ah nothing nothing there's nothing beats it i like a post -movie debrief exactly exactly like simple joys in life oh yeah brother it makes me so happy Yeah. but

Speaker: Yeah, I feel like similarly, I kind of my immediate reaction was kind of like. Cool. pretty cool pretty cool like all right um even the way it ended a little we i think we agreed was a little like felt a little abrupt and we kind of were like h it's all right yeah right but I it also has like grown on me and I think that's like a little bit of I find there's kind of like interesting enough discussion around it so kind of like cluing into that that's good but also I think it's just like reflecting on

Speaker: I don't know. I think it's just, it's a cool movie to watch, you know? It was so cool. Yeah. Yeah. like the performances were super cool or super good really good really good yeah and just so lot of visually like It was cool. Gorgeous. Yeah, the entire thing. was so beautiful and i loved the there was some good texture in it yes yes precisely with

Speaker: with the rain and i love like a like them showing the screens kind of the like fuzziness of showing the the tv screen that kind of thing i adore Yeah, yeah I find it fascinating. how

Speaker: because this is set in like early 2000s right i think that's like really important obviously to like yeah when like how they incorporate the I guess, period accurate, like it's essentially a period piece, you know? I guess it is, yeah. Sidelings, and like to your point of like the texture and like the screens and kind of the...

Speaker: even just like that early digital internet age kind of aspect of it. But I'm thinking about also like any of the scenes where they're like actually in the NBC offices and like the color and. grain and everything like i just it's really it's really cool to reflect and i loved how

Speaker: They. I'm using the word interpolated. I'm not sure if that's the exact word when it comes to, I know it's the word in like music, but I don't know. Sure. Kind of stitched together. Other. like TV footage and stuff as it yeah as it was necessary. um i really i really was drawn to that part of it too like it just it's such a cool

Speaker: thing to and it really it like did a good job of like obviously it's a mostly true inspired by true events movie based on whatever but like it really said it in our world like it was a good reminder of like this is something that happened these are real people this is a real enough story yeah for sure for sure and i think that um the boundary between like what was like what is true what is kind of dramatized and stuff is really

Speaker: fun to think about for this movie I mean it's driving Chris Hansen himself crazy I mean like shout out to my kid like not even actually I don't want to say that I don't um Sorry. Sorry. I have no business. I do not know that man for real. Shout out to Mike King. I've always been a supporter.

Speaker: No, actually. Yeah. dont know's like I've never seen the show. I was never, I was never watching the show. I was never, I really only knew him by name and truly didn't even know his face, but yeah for real, but still, I mean, I thought it was.

Speaker: Good for him for crashing out. i think it's like wouldn't we all exactly right but i can't blame the guy engaging with the movie itself like i think it's very obvious even if someone such as myself doesn't have that much familiarity with the the show and the guy I think it is. so obviously like dramatization though like you know like they were they are interpreting events exactly um and interpreting him as a specific person and i really like

Speaker: the interpretation of it. I think it drew out some really interesting. I don't know. I think it made for a good story. I'll say that. I think it made for a good story. yeah It was such a good kind of... The only way I can think to phrase this is going to sound incredibly pretentious. It was such a good like meditation on impact versus intention. what I mean, like, it just... It didn't, entirely. Because it was...

Speaker: Again, we're talking about the fictional Chris Hansen in the movie. That's the real guy. Don't know the real guy. Like that's a guy who is there for the attention. you know yeah and like he wants to be seen as a hero more than he wants to do the real good thing. And it was so interesting to really like, I loved how internal the movie was, how much it really focused on how much he cared about. that aspect of it more than the yeah like

Speaker: i don't know catching of the bad guys kind of yeah yeah totally totally i think like one thing i was really thinking about because i was trying to just like practice writing about movie whatever and so i was kind of just going through the motions um and trying to pick out like exactly what i thought was like interesting and i think a lot of it like people are talking a lot about how it's like

Speaker: About spectacle and stuff like that and like producing a spectacle. Yes but I think one of the details in the movie that like really contributes to that and that I really found interesting and kind of funny and carried a lot of weight was like the idea of like how much repetition and reiteration and like again like scripting and like rehearsal and stuff and kind of also I guess it ties into when Decoy Dan, Skylar, just sondos.

Speaker: sure um i looked up right before this how to like him saying his name that was smart i think it's skyler g Who was fantastic. also c Incredible. Incredible. Hello.

Speaker: Hello. Obviously. Yeah. I think that's what makes. His story. so important and why i kind of like came back around to like understanding

Speaker: the end a little bit more or appreciating the end a little bit more which is yeah kind of the like acting and rehearsal part of it and in that like first scene he's like thrown in there and he's like uh can i rehearse and she's like this is a rehearsal i think i could be making that up yeah i think something like that um but he like wanted to rehearse and he like you can't um and i think there's something man i wish i had this like a little bit more clear my mind but i think there's something

Speaker: interesting as like a sub theme of how They're doing all this rehearsal and planning and scripting um around. was fundamentally pretty unpredictable, which is yeah how people act and what people do. um and Especially when you're calling them in situations like that. Exactly. Right.

Speaker: Exactly. That's like basically the culmination of. the movie the like the climax is like yes That's core attention. didn't expect at all yeah yeah and also kind of what gets the chris hansen of the movie um also a little bit in trouble right with his own like personal situation it's kind of people having pictures and he's like worried about his reputation and like what is what might like

Speaker: yeah he might not be ready for to come to light. um Something I really, interesting he really loved with that was when he kind of told Merritt. Wevers, Merritt Weaver, I'm not sure how you pronounce her name, um her character. Like that he's being blackmailed, that they found photos of him, whatever. and her first and only question is, Chris, how old is she? That, like, really.

Speaker: I don't know something about that. Cause like she yeah immediately. Is, like, not confident that he's any better than these men that they've been, like, targeting. Right. You know? Right. Huge. In her mind, he absolutely could be exactly the same as them. Exactly. Because that's it was never about...

Speaker: catching these guys. It was never about like. putting them away or at least that wasn't the whole thing it's not the whole thing yeah exactly you're right what a interesting moment oh yeah that's really interesting because he's not that guy but like She doesn't know that.

Speaker: Yeah. but' and there's such a And I think in their work. and the work that they're doing i guess there's a certain amount of Disillusionment? And... desensitization yeah like the very i'm sure possibly you know what i mean which is just like Again, like it could easily. she's she doesn't hold any reservations she's no probably low -key seen enough um and also not every day yeah you're right that's really interesting huh yeah i hadn't thought about that moment as much yeah i really i liked that

Speaker: But yeah, then otherwise, like... just to really... impressed upon this fact. Robert Pattinson is Freaking amazing. He was so good. He... like Absolutely Oscar bait.

Speaker: with that one and i'd be surprised if he doesn't make it at least far you know yeah i i i am betting on a nomination at least at least um i hope so that was incredible work it's really incredible work and he's just had quite the year and he has i don't know i guess He's a talent.

Speaker: i mean he's really a talent and i think i knew that But... I guess just literally like hit after hit banger after banger this year. Yeah. It's really become undeniable. He's had a very.

Speaker: Insane year. Like love the drama. um I know he was in this movie with Jennifer Lawrence, maybe even from. Was it from earlier this year, last year, Die My Love? Which I didn't see. Yeah. No comment. I didn't see that one either. The Odyssey obviously was in there. I think one of the best parts of The Odyssey.

Speaker: Yeah, I think so. about the odyssey but he was He was very good. and

Speaker: hell what else he's about to be a dune he's gonna be doing again yeah i think there's just also so much like diversity variety between these performances like it really shows you how talented he is because yeah He's not a one -note kind of guy. like He's not even speaking the same. he does you know He does some incredible voice work. For every single one of these characters, like they're all so, so different. at really yeah It's really good.

Speaker: Is the drama set in Boston? Why do I feel like the drama is set in Boston? I don't know. It's a random connection. Because I was thinking also his voice, he's like American in that. Is he? No. Yeah. No. No, he's not.

Speaker: i literally actually have no idea i don't remember i don't think so whatever Yeah, I don't think so actually. whatever scratch that from the record yeah but but yeah i completely agree just like different characters yeah different just just like wow my my guy my king in that case my king my a king yeah um and he's such a like he is such a Care - in a way himself. You know what I mean? He really is, yeah

Speaker: his like public peace persona he's somebody that i really believe is having fun with what he's doing even Sometimes he says that he's not, but i'm like I think he at least seems to really enjoy it.

Speaker: I don't know All of it. Yeah. like The acting side of it, at least. yeah yeah He seems like a silly guy. i yeah Enjoy watching him. So yeah. I kind of like. just jumped right onto the no you're good yeah exactly i it was one of mine too yeah and i knew it would be um i think my only other thing on primetime i don't know i like said this to you i really liked it and it did grow on me toward the

Speaker: like after in the following week it grew a little bit but i still think with decoy dan i could have done with either more or less like for me I think still the ending.

Speaker: did feel abrupt to me i like what you're saying yeah the like acting part of it i completely that makes sense and i agree with that there that It was like. making it. a little clearer, but it's still.

Speaker: I don't know I wasn't in it with him enough, I think, yeah for the ending to completely make sense to me. um yeah if it had been either a little heavier on him or if it had ended. the scene prior, I would have been. like five out of five, yeah you know? Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah, I hear you. i hear that makes a lot of sense to me that's why i'm also it's one of those that i'm really keen to watch again I would like can yeah yeah just to See if it.

Speaker: Makes a little bit more sense as it goes. but Agreed, agreed. What else do you got, man? What's up? oh my god we both also watched the love hypothesis this week yes yeah which is a movie that keeps that my brain keeps on wanting me to forget which sounds yeah more dramatic than it is but No, I finished it and I like wrote out my Letterboxd review and I haven't posted it so that we could talk about it before you really saw my thoughts. And I'm glad I did that. yeah like

Speaker: have immediately I like immediately blacked out everything about the movie. Yeah, would not have been able to remember a single note. Yeah. i am yeah so behind on letterboxd reviews youve me too jesus it's really bad it's been like a month and a half Yeah. Sorry in advance. Not to me. No one's going to hear it. Everyone who is who's about to get a thousand notifications from me. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. But yes, love hypothesis. The love hypothesis. Yeah.

Speaker: It was a movie that I watched. Period. And you can write that down, actually. Um... Hmm.

Speaker: it Yeah. Hmm. yeah Hey. It was what it was. No, it's like what I was expecting. And I i had fun. I had fun with it. Yeah.

Speaker: It was... i don't know why i'm acting like i'm a complete hater i enjoyed it like it was a fun watch it was A modern shitty rom -com. we've talked about or actually i don't know if we've discussed on here but like the art of the rom -com and how it has been lost to time, apparently. Yeah. um yeah It was...

Speaker: Fun. It was a Netflix original vibe. it Was it Amazon? to everybody involved i'm like it actually came from netflix but It could have. And that's the point. You're right, honestly. There's really something there about the like lack of specificity across streaming.

Speaker: Original. Yeah. That's like a whole specific section in and of itself. It is. Subgenre. They all could come from anywhere. um Or not all.

Speaker: There's one. streaming service rom -com that i really enjoy there is actually set it up i think is one of the best modern rom -coms or maybe the best easily the best modern rom -com actually i don't know why i'm playing it down i adore that i think it's perfect Same director! as the love hypothesis, which was fascinating news to me because the love hypothesis does not measure up.

Speaker: anywhere close to yeah beautistry and artistry that has set it up. Set it up. you just does Yeah. One of my dear favorites. um Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. Oh no. I find I basically feel the same. I was telling you I was like I'm actually pretty excited to watch because I like to sit down and watch. a rom -com yeah and it's been it's pretty consistent i even like to sit down and watch one that i know is going to be a little Not.

Speaker: fantastic you know like i like the idea of like something that's just kind of like a little bit of fun enough fun a little bit of romance enough romance a little bit of calm enough calm you know yeah um And I still basically feel that way.

Speaker: I just feel like it was a very... flat experience at the end of the day and i mean that across the board yeah um and I find this interesting because it's not even that I think that any performances were like phoned in or that people weren't caring. It seemed like they probably had a good bit of fun. I'm sure. Filming it. And everyone there was like. The acting was solid. It was there. yeah

Speaker: Everyone there was like, you know what I mean? and I feel like sometimes you can sense in in projects when people aren't doing that. That wasn't there um at all. So it feels so inoffensive, but like, is that all we're doing? Is that it? Is this the best we've got anymore? yeah like Oh, and I like, him I like also being clear on like what the origins of this. this Yes. Actually, I do have things I could say about that, but you go first. of you yeah No, it's just the fact that it's like.

Speaker: Once again, something that as I understand. is a book which was which is Based on a fanfic? Yeah, based on a fanfic. of um Rey and Kylo Ren from Star Wars, the new Star Wars, which yeah I'm not overly familiar with. I've seen, I think.

Speaker: one of them yeah i'm just gonna i've seen them all And that's a fine ship. I guess that's a allowed. Sure. Okay. I'm just not ah an expert in. straight ships honestly like if we're being real i'm not i don't know too much about any of them um yeah that one i don't know anything about good for them but yeah okay when it comes to I'm trying to think of how I want to say this. I struggle a lot of the time with.

Speaker: stories, like books slash movies that came from fanfiction. I don't think that that's the best way to get a... so story. created or written i just don't and i think that a lot of the time It is not that good.

Speaker: And if it is good, then that means it came from a fan fiction that like. wasn't that good. I think you can either have a good fan fiction into a bad book or like a bad fan fiction into a good enough book because.

Speaker: If it's a good fan fiction, then it's... characters that are already like solid and created and not yours, which is totally fine for fan fiction. like that's absolutely it's just its own art form it is just a different thing yeah And trying to just switch the names and put that into an entirely new story, I think usually doesn't translate that well. And I think honestly, that's why. I... thought that Game Changer of defeated rivalry fame was good because

Speaker: It wasn't a good fan fiction. Like, I didn't read the fan fiction. But. I'm someone who is familiar with um Stucky fan fiction. Like that is something I was a pro on in my back in my day.

Speaker: So I'm very familiar with it. And yeah I'm not sure like, because I didn't read that as a fan fiction, I'm not sure how much it actually changed, but I know at least the characterization of. Kip as Bucky Barnes is like.

Speaker: terrible characterization of him it's not him yeah exactly it's that's a different character that's not bucky and so i think that's why part of the reason at least why Scott and Kip work for me right in Game Changer because that's not Stucky. It's a different... right it was probably just a bad fan fiction. Like it wasn't that great and understanding of the characters. It's yeah writing something else.

Speaker: yeah but it also that book is a little bit different from the other heated rivalry ones. Because. Like if you're someone who is familiar with kind of that Avengers fan fiction genre, you can really easily see the other characters in that book that are.

Speaker: avenger Yeah. Which is really, really funny to me. And I enjoyed that reading it. It was so much fun. I was texting you as it was going of like, okay, this person is that person. This person is that person. Maybe, maybe we should actually dive deeper into that.

Speaker: at some point that would be fun before the next season comes out so i'm gonna hop on details but Pin in that. Yeah. I'll get back to. originally where we started which was the love hypothesis but yeah love hypothesis just It wasn't perfect for me because it was clearly from a fanfiction. in a way that yes I didn't like. I didn't think it worked.

Speaker: yeah i think sometimes that like i mean the layers of meta is like crazy it is and i think sometimes which is really funny it's at the it's funny and i think but again as you say like at the expense of like It being.

Speaker: a story like a yeah an actually compelling story like i don't know i just as i said i was like visually character -wise. Plot wise, it felt a little bit flat to me. And I'm like, I could have a little bit of fun, but like.

Speaker: I don't think that... chemistry was that great it wasn't that bad but it wasn't that great so um i think that the different performances weren't that Great. They weren't bad. But they weren't that great. Nothing stood out to me. They didn't do anything for me, unfortunately. It's just kind of like... Okay. It was like.

Speaker: there's some angst i guess that worked but Right. I think also. First off, the marketing. was much better than the movie itself to me like I think just it seems like there was much more effort put into the marketing even all the casting half of it. We obviously had some really like

Speaker: incredible TikToks and stuff put in on like that end. And everyone was really excited to be involved and things like that. yeah And then hiring. daisy ridley who plays ray's husband in real life to be the mate like All so fun, so cool. It didn't actually add up. to too much.

Speaker: and that's the thing and maybe that's the like that's like a major part of like the dissonance because it's not even that i like truly like buy into the marketing like it's not something that made me even more excited or ultra excited to watch anything any of it like the person who i'm probably most like a genuine fan of from that entire cast is jabuki i was like period But I think so much of the like marketing of a lot of these things, and I think especially.

Speaker: Amazon Prime. In a way. And as much as I paid attention, they are really doing this like marketing push around being like obsessed. i think that's literally the word that they use they must have it in the center of their little like strategy board because i think between off campus and this one of the ones that i must have like paid most attention to maybe even

Speaker: sterling point is on amazon right yes it is yeah i don't know if point got the same treatment But in terms of their like romance stuff, they kind of doing this like obsession thing. um People fact check me, but that's what I've seen. And I was like.

Speaker: Try as hard as you want. I don't think you can actually manufacture something that that gets that response. You can't manufacture that response, I should say. And. Yeah, I think some of the dissonance is just being like...

Speaker: This does not do that for me. So what are you talking about? And any other like fanfare around it is I think. a little bit more around almost just like the fact that it has come together and the fact that it's exactly lily reinhardt and like people can like really like

Speaker: everyone involved and it's like oh my goodness finally we're seeing these characters on screen and i think that that is a good movie that does not make at the end of the day for real. Like, now especially if you want to invoke all of this, like.

Speaker: rom -com energy classic rom -com energy and stuff like that It does not hold a candle to some of the classic rom -coms that are... Like. good yeah are actually good i don't know what to say like it kind of A good movie.

Speaker: is greater than the sum of its parts. And this was not. This was. Yeah. Less than the sum of its parts. Yeah. Somehow. Yeah. Somehow. Yeah. There were a lot of fun things that went into it and it didn't add up to.

Speaker: the right thing for me. yeah it's not something that i feel like i need to revisit it's not an immediate like comfort war just Which again, I feel like people being like, don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but that's the thing. If you him that's all you can say about a movie is that it wasn't bad, is that that's not.

Speaker: if Maybe not the biggest compliment. That's not what you want.

Speaker: um I don't want to. insult anyone's like writing style that's not my intention at all with this it's i'm also just like not a rom -com reader romance reader that is not my thing um i've said this before on record yeah on record this is just not my cup of tea and so take what i say with a grain of salt but something about the some of the lines i mean it's just you can't get around something that just like feels clunky at the end of the day exactly exactly

Speaker: that's all like i feel like it it just felt like a clu that's a that's a real clunky writing feels like clunky writing at the end of the day even like the sex scene i was just kind of like And that kind of came out of nowhere for me too. Cause. It was... It seemed... The entire movie up until that point, it was like, we're not even going to hold hands. We're going to be, we're not interacting. We like maybe had one little peck kiss. like Nothing yeah happened.

Speaker: And then all of a sudden, the rating changed. It felt a little out of place and different to me. It came out of nowhere a little bit. Yeah, I was like, all right. yeah so I texted you one of the lines because I was like, now hold on. Right. What? I said, who brought out the thesaurus? That does not feel like... like Ugh. What are we doing?

Speaker: But that's where, again, it's kind of this question of like. What is... um It feels, it felt a bit fan fiction. It did. Which is fine and fun. But yeah.

Speaker: but I don't know. we are We are acknowledging that it wasn't exactly for us. Exactly. Sometimes you're just not the target audience for something. And that is a -okay. But we're still going to talk about it. I'm still going to watch it and try to like it.

Speaker: Yeah, exactly. Not always going to work for me. And that's fine. no that's fine yeah and hey another movie got greenlit so happy for everyone involved good for them exactly there we go yay more movie i also and like this wasn't kind of a point in the movie but something that i personally had trouble with when Olive.

Speaker: goes to on. And she's like, oh, you know, like I've been dating for this guy for a couple of weeks. And obviously she's lying. And obviously her best friend later on, she's like, I know that. That's not true because I know you, like, obviously you two weren't dating, whatever.

Speaker: How would you ever have even thought and like oh I've been dating this guy for a couple of weeks I would never - Yeah. And you didn't tell your friend? And you thought that even if she didn't believe you, you thought she was going to believe you.

Speaker: But then I'm automatically not believing your friends at all. If you could get yeah something like that. Even if it they make a point later to be like, well, I know you. And so that isn't the case. Yeah. i' My main problem with that is like.

Speaker: Such quick. resolution. It was you. very fast such quick resolution blink and you miss it basically which she is like Girl, I knew you were lying the whole time. I don't know. I don't like that move. Maybe that's just like a weird me thing. And again, I get it. i get it from the possibility of just being like, oh, you know, I just want to like freshen up some trope. Sure. But for me, just that quick of resolution, I was just like.

Speaker: So what is, like, oh, so where am I supposed to, like... zero in yeah there were a lot of points in this movie and i'm not even talking between the love interest because i get the like miscommunication thing between the love interest you don't want to tell him how you really feel i understand that that's not what i'm talking about yeah but the amount of times I was like, you guys aren't going to have a conversation like with your friends. Yeah. Like.

Speaker: Talk to your friends if you're having a problem. what are you doing it just it didn't feel that way yeah talk hey guys talk like you guys are scaring me Yeah.

Speaker: Interesting. Overall. Interesting. A good enough fun. Enough. movie. Yeah. For me, we're just kind of. cherry picking and being debbie dollars maybe sometimes that's what you have to do sometimes those you have to yeah Fun overall. so and Whatever. so Well.

Speaker: Do you have any big fixations that we haven't dived into yet? Low -key, no. On my list was also Primetime and Love Hypothesis. But I guess the next thing is a little bit... Yeah, that's your fixation. Yeah, exactly. I guess it's a little bit different than just being like one media fixation. But I was really enjoying... the new york times like top movies of the 21st century thus far type of thing all these like qualifiers

Speaker: list that was happening. they were like slow rolling that out not last week but the week before that basically um and i thought it'd be really fun to kind of like make those lists for ourselves especially since we've been doing so much tv talk recently um

Speaker: And yeah, and I kind of had like the the opportunity to like go through their entire thing and be like, seen some, seen it, seen it. Want to watch that type of thing. So fun. I had seen far fewer shows than I thought I would have. Cause like I used to be a big TV girl in recent years. I've been a movie girl, but.

Speaker: tv used to be my thing so i was pretty surprised that i gateway drug was so bad my numbers were down yeah i i did like look at it actually i did I saw...

Speaker: 30 which i was being generous i think that some of them Some of them maybe I haven't seen all of. But I was letting myself be like, if I've seen enough of this to like understand the gist, i've seen you know I will count as seen it.

Speaker: and so yeah i was at 30 for my account on their list i didn't write down my number i should have but i guess I'm somewhere around there. yeah such an interesting list i mean i kind of was like oh they had to start in the 2000s like w blah blah blah blah blah like sure whatever I don't know yeah um ah but yeah definitely some of those on there I was like I have never even heard of this, which is always fun.

Speaker: It was fun. Interesting... place to get some recommendations, I guess. I've got some shows I need to start. um Yeah. I mean, a lot of the like big ones, the like top couple ones i was like yeah i know i mean i've not seen breaking bad i've not seen the wire except those are the two seen mad men so sorry like i just i haven't done it yet and i should i'll get to it well maybe yeah

Speaker: But, okay, so. My list, my top 10 list, I really like that they allowed. you to like just add whatever you needed to add yeah um and i thought so much about it i like wrote down prop for our visual list listeners i went through their list and i wrote down the ones that

Speaker: mean something to me in particular that I really liked. um I tried to like skim through the various streaming services just to like catch anything that I missed. I was just kind of like racking my brain of like other things. From growing up to.

Speaker: now my entire life maybe um what shows i could say really like maybe mattered to me And. Even saying that, it feels like a little silly because I'm like, then the top 10 feels like so few entries. I know. To possibly do. I made a list of so just to start with. I was like, I'm going to start with shows that I like or love.

Speaker: And there was so many. I i was like, I'm gonna have trouble getting to 10. Uh -uh, no, I didn't. know There was a real issue cutting it down. i think i wrote down like almost 50 here i was like this is a show that i have like watched and like know that i like and maybe could count as meaningful to me um and what i settled with with my top 10 and i have like a way that i've okay kind of divided it in my mind a little bit.

Speaker: I think number one is succession. basically. I think I put in enough order, but yeah. Succession. Fleabag. Normal people. Okay. Parks and recreation. Oh good.

Speaker: Scandal. mm -hmm Glee. Sorry, I'm reacting so much. I'm being an active listener.

Speaker: Phineas and Ferb. Oh, good one. That's a good idea. Interview of the Vampire. Heated rivalry. Yep. and this show called Scam.

Speaker: Ooh. So. I'm not familiar with scam. And I'd be happy to explain. Okay, please. And basically how I was thinking about it, I was trying to think like. if i remember now i should have like written this down a little bit more um i like My masterminded. um list I ended up thinking about.

Speaker: and like dividing it into sections of being like okay which which ones are just like I feel like of quality. They ended up being more recent, but that's not completely like... necessary but basically just like boom boom boom like these are ones that i'm like i like these because i think they are fantastic yeah and so it's more of like a quality metric and that is of course succession fleabag normal people low -key because normal people really was that girl to me um when i was watching it i think it's like and we're talking like book adaptations as we increasingly keep talking about like

Speaker: The work done on that. It's just insane. Like they. They turned it out. um whatever yeah um and then i think parks and rec is there for like similarly but i'm like that is some quality like sense of humor forming sitcom For me, like I've seen it top to bottom, like it's I love that show. I think it's so funny and it still is funny and very formative. And so at the parks and recreation mark is also where it gets to things that are just.

Speaker: formative mainly. So between Parks and Recreation, Scandal, Glee, and Phoenix and Ferb. Phoenix and Ferb trying to honor again, like childhood, but like great show. But like. Scandal. again loki haven't seen the end of scandal which i always say i know how it ends but i never ended up watching it but There's something that's like...

Speaker: for better for worse that watching that at the age that i watched it like oh Ooh, it was, it was, yeah it was really something special. And I think their scandal was like number 100 on their official list too. I was kind of right. It was, I don't know why I was like.

Speaker: shit hey god hey um so i feel i guess maybe vindicated in that in some way um but just Great stuff. um And then Glee, because I mean, come on, Glee. i'm so formative of course yes and i didn't even watch glee as it was coming out but the fact that i was able to sit down and watch all of it yeah Whenever I did.

Speaker: Huge. Huge. yeah um And the music of it all too. Sorry. god Exactly. No, I was going to say, i don't I'm not, other than Scam, which I'm not familiar with, I was expecting every single one of those shows. Yeah, I know, right? I was like, yeah, this makes sense.

Speaker: yeah which and i think the last three interview the vampire heated rivalry scam They are on there. And it took me so long to figure out like the last little like bit of stuff. Like I was really trying to like figure out which ones I should put on there.

Speaker: It was really stressing me out once we were getting to like the end, but I think I included those last three, despite again, a little bit of like, reason I wasn't sure about like the recency bias of it all. um But because I think there's something about the like experience of like engaging with that.

Speaker: the show In. a way that like extends beyond the actual watching of the show. Yeah, 100%. Which is just to simply say like. fandom. adjacent fandom fully you know kind of like interaction with that show um so interview the vampires there because it's also just like fantastic but you know just like deeply into it heated rivalry of course um because I don't want this to lead to attention. but

Speaker: Almost in recognition. of being like oh it's something about like engaging with it beyond the bounds of it just being a show also when you zoom back down into it I will just be like.

Speaker: begging people to remember they're like hito reverie is a good show It's a really good show. It is. And I like, I kind of. forgot too like because it it got so big that when we were together we re -watched an episode And he's it was kind of like, holy shit. like Right. Like.

Speaker: it's good there's a reason that it got so big like it's all so well done yeah why people of every age creed and color exactly we're sitting down being like now what the hell is this this is so good It's like...

Speaker: Singular too. Like there isn't another. show that really like especially not one that got so big but like That really shows like queer joy.

Speaker: in an artful and positive way like that. Like, I believe. haven't interacted with something like that before and again invested in i think just the characters are well invested in and the writing again a yeah tangent that we will keep on coming back to but like like it just i just think it really is good like i almost didn't include it because i felt a little like I'm gonna put exactly the same. but

Speaker: The time and the care like really went in and it really shows like it really deserves to be on that list, I think. Yeah, yeah. yeah and then scam SCAM! Is this show? I'm really curious who.

Speaker: No, it's about Scam. Because Scam is the show that... Damn, I in a way I don't even know if I know like truly the details but it started as this Norwegian show that, um,

Speaker: Basically. Released? On a daily basis? I... Sorry, because I was on Tumblr a bunch. It crossed my desk at some point in time. of course And this is like maybe this is when I was definitely like sometime in high school. And this is Norwegian show. And they would release. clips.

Speaker: release scenes essentially throughout the week that at the end of the week it's like this is the episode but the idea is that they were almost like releasing it in real time so like You would never know when the clip was actually going to release, except you knew. I don't know like in theory like a clip that was taking place at school in retrospect they're like okay so this released because it was like at the beginning of the school day so things would release in the morning it would release at night if the scene was like after school that type of thing or like in the evening whatever and

Speaker: the first season of oh my goodness the first season of scam was about this relationship Isaac and Evan. No, that's a lie. That was the second season. But either way, the main one of the most like popular stories was that story. And it's. was... just like such a like thrilling crazy thing to like be engaged with because of this release schedule it was just a good

Speaker: show too it had like all of these like very like teen teen romance shows like it almost felt very Degrassi like but it wasn't Degrassi but you can tell like it kind of is in that general genre so it's like some of these like honestly very serious topics of like mental illness and um queerness and race and religion and all these things such like.

Speaker: quite a diverse set of characters but The... Scam. the like original scam norwegian show um kind of inspired all of these. remakes as well that basically followed beat for beat the same storylines but they did it in France and they did it in Italy and they did it in Spain and so they would have also these like these just very different like cultural changes cultural um iterations to it And I don't know if I'm doing justice explaining it, but.

Speaker: I felt like it deserved to be there because that was one that I was like. Almost like, secret not secretly, but like... who else would this have like come up to at that point in time in my life um except my sister ended up hearing about it at some point in time and she like mentioned it and i was like girl what are you talking about oh this is existing in my phone that's crazy And yeah, I don't know. i I encourage you to look it up. I encourage people to look it up because I thought it was like really, really interesting. and For some reason, it popped into my mind to like...

Speaker: include it on the list i was like you know what i will include it because i think it was one of those first instances of as well of basically what i'm talking about of like a show kind of having this aspect of engaging with it so much digitally

Speaker: online and like these specific fandom -ish slash just like online community spaces. so thats when i was I was excited to include it and also explain it because I think it'd be right up your alley. It sounds like it. Very kind of maybe check formative. Yes. Yes. So.

Speaker: That's scam. And that's my list. And again, so many other honorable mentions that I wish I could get to, but whatever. Yeah. Whatever. I had so many honorable mentions on my list. I know, I know. I was having difficulty building my list because I really, a lot of my shows that I really love. like I know are not good. And so I really was trying to like wrestle with what's good versus what's good to me versus.

Speaker: what really makes a show the best um and i did link on including a couple of shows that I do not stand by their writing or their choices. And I think that's okay because a show doesn't have to be good to be the best. i am It's your top 10. Exactly. your Exactly. Thank you. It's my top 10. These are not the the top 10 of all time. These are Ellen's top 10 of the 21st century, yeah which I.

Speaker: didn't put mine in order because the idea of that alongside the idea of including shows that were good but not good stressing me out far too much so i had to just put them in a random order I gotta also start with Succession on mine, obviously. There we go. New girl. I think New Girl is a perfect, the perfect sitcom, obviously. Doctor Who.

Speaker: incredibly formative and yes Everyone go watch Doctor Who right now. It's got like 50 years of TV, but we're talking New Who, yeah which is started in 2006. So it counts. Yeah. supernatural is the big one, obviously. Not a good show.

Speaker: but it's one of the best yeah But also... the first five seasons of that show were designed to be like the show in and of itself and that standalone if you only watch the first five seasons and you cut off the last maybe 20 seconds of that final fifth season finale yeah perfect show it's really good

Speaker: Anyway. Daredevil. I think Daredevil, the original. There we go. I forgot about Daredevil. Yeah, that's one of mine. I've got heated rivalry. obviously.

Speaker: Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl is... Easy top 10 for me. Talk about formative. ah Yeah. How to get away with it. Murder. I love that show. Shonda in the chat. Exactly. We need Shonda on the list. Shonda forever. Yeah. And I wanted to include Grey's Anatomy also because.

Speaker: uh yeah it just it feels like it deserves a mention but not on my list it's not my doctor done but it's somebody's it's many people's anyway i think It would have qualified. for like their original top 10 and for some reason one thing that i i remember i saw that someone maybe because i was looking up scandal uh -huh some was something about being like crazy anatomy so on the list and i was like lucky you have a point i feel like that's pretty like it like

Speaker: There was a time when the entire world was watching Grey's Anatomy and somehow I think she's still going. I think she is. She just deserves to be included. We're going out for Shonda. Thank you, queen. murder So good.

Speaker: And I feel like she disappeared. No one's talking about her anymore and we should be. We should be. She was gorgeous. Anyway, my list. um Fleabag. Obviously. Nothing else to say there. Finally. yeah Veep.

Speaker: veep i love veep v very good i only watched veep for the first time like this time last year i think um yeah Oh my god. And I just was going around telling everyone about it being like, have you guys, or have you heard of this? Has anyone heard of Veep, please? It's...

Speaker: Just like the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. And it's so well written. and Perfect. It's just perfect. and The way that I hate that final episode is just like... shows you how well done it is because it really is.

Speaker: realistic. of what would happen to these characters and the way that they would go about their lives in a way that I despise because it's not what I want for any of them. I hated that finale. It was perfect. Yeah. love me I have only seen so much of Veep. I really want to like. get in there and yeah like watch it and finish watching it. But from what I've seen, it is absolutely fantastic. It is so funny.

Speaker: Perfect. God, it's incredible. And talking about straight ships, I think maybe my only one, and Dan and Amy, I love them. They're the best.

Speaker: Yeah. therere evil people who should not be together. But I love it. I love watching them act. It's one of my favorites. these two are walking next to each other down a hallway and so that means they're in love type situations love it yes the walk and talk that reminds me of two two shows that loki like could have easily been on the list as well i just like i don't know have to make your choices yeah but in terms of just a show that's like

Speaker: funnier than I watched a lot of Arrested Development. Arrested Development was also on my honorable mention list. Yeah. It's like, OMG, OMG. Arrested Development is too much. It's so funny. Oh my God.

Speaker: I was like watching it with my friend and her parents. And I was like cackling. Like like I know it's funny. I've seen enough of it. But it just gets you every time. It's just so deeply silly. It's so funny.

Speaker: And then... Just briefly because the walk and talk thing reminded me. I was. really about to put the West Wing on my list. I was going to say, I was surprised the West Wing wasn't on your list.

Speaker: It debuted in like 1999, not 2000. So it doesn't count. That's good to know that there's a reason for why you didn't do it. Because I was curious. It was right about to be there. It was right about to be on there. And I was about to be like, yeah, I said it.

Speaker: I said it. Just kidding. I low -key love The West Wing. Maybe it's not low -key anymore. It's okay. I feel like it's just funny. If I included that one, the array of TV shows would be almost too much. And so in a way I'm like happy because it's already a bit.

Speaker: You know, we're containing multitudes. yeah That's all. We are. And there's something great about the West Wing. I've seen every single bit of it and I love it. Yeah. i That's another one. I haven't seen I gotta gotta get in there I think I mean I like it a lot so I think one like I recommend but it's also kind of like ah girl i don't know why i've seen it so much it's just really good to me it's like another one I really had to like...

Speaker: This isn't related to that at all. um When I really had to talk myself out of including on my list because I'm like, I it's. probably not even that great, but I love Criminal Minds more than almost anything. Oh my goodness. That show. Yeah. That's the thing. I was like, I'm not going to be able to call it perfect or justify the writing or the characters or any of those things. It's just incredible. And I love that show and ah kind of. beat for beat like cop show like that.

Speaker: It yeah just follows a formula and it doesn't have to be perfect and it doesn't have to be really anything other than what it is. And that's a good thing. Like I love that. I love a templated show. like i love something that you can rely on and you know exactly yeah what's coming and yeah means Every episode. is the same with different people. There's something so beautiful about that. that is funny I feel like i as I was thinking about some of them and as I was looking through lists and stuff I was thinking about the ones that

Speaker: you would yeah I was like so when you were going through this I was like completely yeah exactly one other one that made me laugh to like think about and remember I Was so into. Arrow. like cw oh my god the flash like that kind of like era of superhero shows yeah um

Speaker: That's kind of it. like I was just actually incredibly into Arrow. I was watching it. I was scrolling through the tags. and invested in the ships and everything like that. And it just seems so random now in my like in in my mind. But it was like.

Speaker: I was there for it. I never watched Arrow, but I was big on the superhero TV shows. Like I loved them. Obviously I included Daredevil, but like. I was on the like...

Speaker: Heroes was a TV show that I adored. There was Agents of S .H .I .E .L .D. I loved. Oh, brother. i was on Agents of S .H .I .E .L .D. I loved those shows. My brother watched Agents of S .H .I .E .L .D. It really started to grow. I don't know why I had such beef with that show. I did not want to hear about Agent Coulson. I loved that. So sick of it.

Speaker: This is a major rift between us. That was like my guy, this is. This is our friendship ending fight. I was like, why should we care? Who cares about Phil Coulson? I was like, I'm going to go crazy. I don't understand. I'm the one.

Speaker: Agents of shield. Agents of S .H .I .E .L .D., yeah. I don't really remember what that show was about. I remember really enjoying it. And that's the thing. It was really hard for me to like understand what like all the hootenanny was about. house What do we keep doing? um you don't know But I was just like. not actually watching at the same time yeah just it was just always on and so i was always just like

Speaker: yeah what y 'all doing what are they doing it was another one of those like we kind of have the rights to marvel but not completely so we can't really give you details situations which in my mind is just the funniest thing ever i love

Speaker: It's funny. yeah but yeah it's been a lifetime of tv watching man i have a billion more honorable mentions that i will not waste anyone's time with i know i kind of do too it's just too many too many good ones oh my goodness you know what i thought about which i was like it barely even counts never got the chance to fly if we've ever talked about this before is the society i was Look at the society. God. R .I .P.

Speaker: ah I know. Oh, the society. That show. We could do it a lot on The Society. Everyone go watch The Society. Someone talk to Netflix. Does anyone know any Netflix execs that can get The Society season two going, please? Like 10 years after the first one?

Speaker: Exactly. That one was perfect. yeah It was so good. Yeah. So good. Yeah. Any other honorable mentions will inevitably come up at some point. Exactly. I'm like. I do think though.

Speaker: it's about time i rewatched fleabag it's been i think it's been too long the season i think For a while there, for a stretch there, we were like averaging. Two, two and a half rewatches a year. Since like... I mean, you and I, I might be exaggerating. I do distinctly remember us like sitting down and watching it all in one evening. We did do that. One Sunday. Yes, that was a beautiful Sunday. Was that season one or season two?

Speaker: season two i think yes i think we re -watched the entirety of season two yeah a beautiful sunday hey we made some pasta yeah it was awesome the first episode of season two is one of my favorite episodes to tv Because that dinner scene is so fun. So, oh God, it's so good. God. Really it is. Yeah.

Speaker: i feel like fleabag is one of those and i was so like i was expecting to see it on the like big list. um But it just really took me back to when I was even just like hearing about it and people being like.

Speaker: The show's insane. It's the best show of maybe the - maybe to ever like happen. And I was like, Right. let Let me go check this out. I was like, I don't even know what you could possibly mean. Like what's going to be so fantastic about it. And. It just...

Speaker: I love it. It changed everything. oh good It's so good. good. It's hard to explain. So many nu pieces to that too. Just like the acting and the writing and the. this and that and the character is god every piece of it it's like And it's so beautiful. uh -huh This is a love story. Yes, it is. Oh my God. And there's nothing I love like a love story.

Speaker: Period. Period. That's probably the, like, if it was gonna, like, make me do anything immediately, like, spur me to action, this list and this activity. That's definitely one of them. Thank you for watching Fleabag.

Speaker: Yeah, we'll actually be back sometime soon because... I need it. I need a dose. dose yeah Yeah, maybe we should all go rewatch Philly Bag. Let this be our CTA of the episode. and to bring it back around it's a good time of the year to rewash the bag. It is. It's cozy. It feels very fall.

Speaker: Watch this space. Yeah. Definitely. I didn't rewatch that first season in a long time. Maybe it's time for that for me. God, it's so devastating. Devastating stuff, anyway and That's a ah good note. Yeah, it's a great note to end on.

Speaker: well good little episode we got on our hands beautiful we hit a lot i feel like i like these ones where we're just kind of like catching up Maybe that's like most of them. but we yeah to catch up on this week. We did. Exactly. and we'll Think about what.

Speaker: Any episodes might be coming into the future. Again, I feel like we have the opportunity to do a little theme, have a little guest maybe sometime soon. yeah but stay tuned you know otherwise here we are Fixit .pod on all socials you can find us.

Speaker: um We'll be here. We'll be... yeah waiting on your screen for you exactly exactly all right i think that makes it Well bye. Bye.
