Seeking Harley's Insight

00:00:14
Speaker
previously on The Hired Swords.
00:00:17
Speaker
Krigs isn't in tune with nature and I can't tell you how good it feels to finally have someone who knows the ways of the wind. It feels nice, but right now we must see what Harley knows. It's something. He knows what's going on here in Wild Hill. He must, or at least I hope he does.

Introduction to 'The Hired Swords'

00:01:08
Speaker
You're listening to the hired swords. Not the people are hired, not the swords. No, they have swords and they're hired too. Whatever.
00:01:29
Speaker
Hey everybody, and welcome back to the Hired Swords. I'm here with my friends, Ash. Hello. Playing Gwendolyn. Mikey's here, playing jockser. The warunk. And Derek. Hello, Derek. Yes, mate. All right. And Blaze. I'm eating snacks. Well, we're recording a thing. It's okay. It's whatever.
00:01:54
Speaker
We left off last time in, finally, in Hurley's house waiting for one of you guys to ask him a question.

Visit to Hurley for Answers

00:02:05
Speaker
You kind of hung out, did a little bit of eating and drinking at the longhouse, went back home after a short jump to the woods to ask a favor of the wilds by Krigs, and then you went to, or went back to the
00:02:22
Speaker
What is it called? The Boulder Shack? What's it called? The Boga Shack. Boga Shack. I could not remember the name of it for some reason. Because they're all the Boga Shack. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's a shack. I get it. I get it. I get it. I just forgot it. And so you were there and at the shack place and then woke up the next morning went straight over to Hurley's to see Slim who took you to Hurley. You found, you discovered that Hurley was an
00:02:48
Speaker
older half elf man with some severe scarring and some sort of crazy eye patch with crazy boils and sores on his face. And no, he was missing legs. He rolled in on a wheelchair contraption that he could control with a little kind of wheel crank on his
00:03:09
Speaker
that he could use with his one good arm as he rolled into the room and introduced himself and asked you to introduce yourselves. You got straight to the point saying you would like some answers to the issues, the deal that's going on here in Wild Hill. And so he said that possibly we could make a deal. Let's see, what are your questions? And that's where we left off. So his last statement was just, please tell me what it is you want to ask me.

Impact on Hurley's Business

00:03:39
Speaker
Well, this wasn't one of my first questions, but now I want to know, what did we do that made you angry or mad in town? Well, I go through a lot of trouble to go through a lot of trouble to allow
00:03:59
Speaker
the hunters to do the work that they do so that I can have some of the artifacts made that I use here. And some of your involvement in interrupting their work, delaying their work, the racing, the things such as this, they are quite interesting to hear about. They are a nuisance to my business that I run here.
00:04:30
Speaker
in Wild Hill and the chief has expressed concern about your carrying on here in town, seeming to ask questions where no one really has before. I see that is your seemingly your modus operandi, as they say, I believe that's how that says, how you typically do things. What a very curious group, that's for sure.
00:04:56
Speaker
Yes, that's what I mean. I could say I have not been vividly angry with all of you. I simply feel that you have gotten in the way of some of my business. But if we could make a deal and be lucrative for both of us, then why be upset? Yes. Agreed. And I'm interested what we did to benefit you if we've already upset the other half.
00:05:23
Speaker
I must say that is where it gets confusing. There are some things that you've encountered in the wilds from my hearing that I have some great questions about myself. Actually, I have some theories about, and I want them confirmed. Your work to discover what is happening
00:05:52
Speaker
in the wilds is of great interest to me. And it is funny that you being a nuisance in your work is what led you down that path, which has then caused me to have an interest in what it is you are doing for new reasons in order to possibly learn some answers to questions and possibly confirm some theories I may have about this strange
00:06:21
Speaker
mysterious forest that borders our small town here.

Encounter with the Controlled Boar

00:06:31
Speaker
That's a little confusing because some of our questions I think might be the same questions that you have. For example, we were attacked by some weird giant boar. It was bleeding some sort of like an acid and it seemed to be under controlled by these
00:06:50
Speaker
I don't know what they were. Were they owl bears or what were they, guys? I can't remember. They were definitely some form of humanoid or just giant bear with some human... Point is, it wasn't wild on its own. It seems like it was being heralded by these things. They tried to keep it under control, which means that somebody was controlling it, which means that somebody created it because it wasn't natural.
00:07:18
Speaker
We're trying to figure out where it came from. We know that Darnaldi was involved with this because he seems intent on making more difficult creatures for the hunt. But it seems like the means is what we don't know how he got to it. We think maybe that you were involved with that. I do know the board you speak of because Darnaldi approached me
00:07:45
Speaker
Well, he approached me through slim. I have not met Dharanaldi myself. There are not very many people who deal with me in person.
00:07:58
Speaker
But the questions you have been asking about town led me to believe this was the best way to have our conversation, not through a middle person, as Slim would be.

The Boar's Alchemical Secrets

00:08:11
Speaker
Anyway, I understand the boring fact. I had recently sent off a
00:08:18
Speaker
a alchemical mixture using the boar's blood for quite a good price, in fact. And it was extracted before he grew to be so dangerous. So it was easy then. But now I fear that I do not know what caused him to be the way that he is. Darnoldi approached me for
00:08:48
Speaker
the purpose of asking if I would be willing to pay to take some of its blood in order to create items for selling. I did indeed pay him a little bit, but nothing compared to what the oil I was able to make from that blood. Well, I don't make it myself, but the oil that was able to be made from that blood
00:09:12
Speaker
The money I made from that was far more exceeding what I paid for access to those that bores blood. Yes. Gwendolyn, as he's been talking, Gwendolyn slowly... She leaves her bag on the ground, but she just slowly stands back up. Just... She's furious. She just tries not to show it.
00:09:42
Speaker
Cause she doesn't want to risk not asking any more questions. Okay. So you worked with didn't an Aldi. I work with anyone that can benefit me. I, uh, the only thing I do not do is work for anyone anymore. No longer. But you're saying that you didn't help create this bar, saying that the bar was created and you took something from it.

Denial and Admission by Hurley

00:10:11
Speaker
No, I mean, yes, you are correct. I did not. No, I did not have anything to do with the creation of this boar. Dharanaldi came to me, told me he was able to do something I had never heard of before, and at least not through the means he had discussed. I had only heard of such things being done in other ways. But what he did was pretty remarkable, don't you think?
00:10:39
Speaker
Hurley, that brings up two questions. Would you say that the only person in this town to provide very special artifacts would be you for those interested? Yes, and to be quite honest, well,
00:11:06
Speaker
We will just say yes, correct. Then from previous conversations with
00:11:15
Speaker
with someone who worked with Dernaldi on this, he spoke about an artifact that Dernaldi used to create this blood bore. Are you saying you would not have provided this to Dernaldi or you were not the one who he asked to get this artifact that he used? Make a persuasion check.
00:11:42
Speaker
That is under a completely place. So did you throw it on the floor? I sure did. That is under a couch. Stressful. Ooh, that is super good. 18 plus four, 22. He squints at you. His one eye kind of squints. He breathes in with a wheeze real deep. And he says, I can tell you that
00:12:12
Speaker
Darunaldi came to me and told me what he wanted to do.

Hurley's Tragic Past and Connection to Delmar

00:12:18
Speaker
I told him I did not have anything to help him with his requests. And then he was gone for near two full weeks before anyone heard from him again here in town. And then he said that he had done it. Months later, a batch of boars were born
00:12:42
Speaker
One of them survived, and the rest you know. I believe he went somewhere and got something. I believe that there are answers, but I don't have them. It is part of my questions. There are things... I fear I say too much, but there are things in the wilds that I fear could be used for these purposes.
00:13:12
Speaker
I feared that's where he went. In Elvish, I just go. Where would he go? In Elvish, he replies, I'm not sure the location, but there are places that are untouched in the far north of the wilds. My experiences there were no good.
00:13:41
Speaker
Who has the next question? Is this a place that elves would use or have a history of trying to find power? There are... I ask because we've met some elves in travel in search of a place. What did they tell you what they were searching for? I look over to Gwen in a...
00:14:11
Speaker
I believe it could have been the same place that you're searching for. Is that what I remember, Gwen? I believe something about the cradle of magic, the untouched lands. In Elvish, I go the first of us.
00:14:42
Speaker
You are saying that they were seeking the birthplace of our kind and the beginning of magic here. That's what I told us. He kind of chuckles. They were seeking legend then. Would you not consider that blood boar a legend? I suppose before I saw it, I would have. You make a good point, Joxer, was it?
00:15:13
Speaker
yes it was it seems like we've got a lot of pieces we're just trying to get them all to fit together yes the pieces are there and i have a theory but if you are willing if you are wanting to hear my theory you must be willing to do my favor i fear that
00:15:35
Speaker
The only way you are safe in knowing my theory is for you to go either prove it right or wrong. If you are right, if it is right, then it must be discovered and we must figure out what is next. If it is wrong, then perhaps it is something worse, I do not know. Well, what was this theory? First, I need you to tell me that you would be willing to go into these untouched lands.
00:16:04
Speaker
Find for me whether or not what I'm

The Curse in the Wilds

00:16:11
Speaker
about to tell you is fact. Will you be willing to do that? You want us to commit to something before we know what it is that we're committing to?
00:16:23
Speaker
I suppose that might be fair, fair point. I struggle because the knowledge of this, make a perception check, or not a perception check, a persuasion check as he's processing what you said. Oh, that's probably not gonna be very good. Seven plus one, eight. He says, no, I fear that, I have told you enough already
00:16:52
Speaker
about my business, about what I do here, that if I also tell you why I do it, you will do what you must to shut me down or convince the rest of this town that it is no good for me to be here and I have nowhere else to go. I am afraid of what might happen then and I will be honest with you, I have great fear discussing these things.
00:17:21
Speaker
as well as great shame in telling my story. Davens just kind of look to everyone else in the group and see what their kind of reaction is. I think we deserve to hear it. And Gwendolyn sits down right in front of him. I kind of look at Daven as he's looking around and catches my eye. The look on my face is just sort of trusting like I'm going to follow his lead on this.
00:17:50
Speaker
Okay. I can't speak for the entire group, but we came here looking for answers and it seems like you are also looking for answers. And the only thing I can think is we've got to go to the place where the answers might be.

Contemplating Exploration

00:18:06
Speaker
I'm willing to do it if they are. I don't mind following this path, Hurley. Can you at least tell us
00:18:19
Speaker
if the fear and reason is related to the current state of your body. I served Helm for nearly all my life. I was a soldier in his army. I fought in the wars. And then when I was called back again, I served again. I definitely...
00:18:47
Speaker
I definitely had a reaction, hopefully wasn't noticeable when he mentions Helm in the war. Okay. And Davin immediately looked over to Craig's, which probably was noticeable. Okay. He says, until the war was over, I did not have much to go back to the many of our villages near the south.
00:19:14
Speaker
of Glintry were overrun. And so I lost many things. I decided that my new family was the men I had fought beside in Helm's armies. And I fought only for them at this point, especially my leaders. So they sent me to take command in the mountains
00:19:38
Speaker
And they're the worst thing I had ever seen. Happened. Men were dying. Something was killing them. I could not discover what it was. And so we came up with a plan. You hear Joxer just say, Delmar. What did you say? Delmar. You know Delmar. It is a name that I cry out in my sleep.
00:20:08
Speaker
my half dreams at night, my nightmares. He's alive. How? I saw him disappear into the darkness. The creature looked me in the eye. I fell backwards. The roof, it fell. It fell on top of me. We rescued him. Gavin rushes over to jocks here and starts searching through his bag without permission. Okay. From the darkness.
00:20:36
Speaker
How could he have been saved that creature? It would look you in the eye and you would be stone cold frozen. All of your greatest fear is entering your mind and then it would take you and rip you apart. I was only saved because they collapsed the same roof that fell on me and took my legs. Devin comes out with the captain's log that they had found when they were up in the mountains.
00:21:00
Speaker
He starts searching through, he's like, this is from when you were there. You know these people, Captain Trakas. Were you under these casualties? I thought there was no one left.
00:21:15
Speaker
I would not have left. Had I known he was there, I had no choice. The priest went down at the bottom of the mountain. I had to go there. My life would not have been spared. I did not know what to do. So I left. I thought he was gone. I thought there was no way he could be there. I would not have left him there all this time. You have to understand. I am not judging you in this scenario, Hurley. He's full on hyperventilating at this point.
00:21:44
Speaker
I place my hand on his hand. He looks at you, Gwendolyn, and he lifts his eye patch. You see that familiar golden globe of an eye and the stone welts around it, stone-looking welts around it as he looks and his eyes just bear into you, both of them now and dumb.
00:22:09
Speaker
You don't get any sort of like weird like saving throw kind of situation or anything. It's just like this. Yeah, for sure. I take my shield off my back and hold it in front of me just because of I'm frankly kind of scared because of what happened to me in the place.
00:22:28
Speaker
Okay. Um, perfect. And he, he looks and he says, Oh, please, no, please. There is no power. There is no, the curse, the curse did not take me. I, I, I died before it wore off when I was brought back by the priests. I guess I wasn't fully dead. I don't know. I, I was permanently scarred by what happened. I, and he looks at your shield and he says,
00:22:59
Speaker
You served him too. I did. Are you all veterans of the armies of Hel? Only I.
00:23:09
Speaker
I gave everything. I gave everything. And when that wasn't enough, I gave even more, even my legs, my face, the use of my arm and my hand. I cannot be seen. I will be called a monster. I only work through, through Slim. He is the kindest, sweetest young man. He treats me like a father and I sometimes
00:23:36
Speaker
That creature was cursed. It was. My theory is that it happened somewhere in the northern parts, the northern stretches of the wilds, where we do not go.
00:23:50
Speaker
My theory is that these monsters that we have been harvesting these last few weeks that do not bring benefit for our magic items. They bring only destruction and pain. I believe those creatures are cursed as well in a similar way. I do not know why it is happening or who is doing it. When we saved Delmar, he was
00:24:19
Speaker
troubled with multiple voices in his head and He he had been fighting this this whole time Keeping himself safe from the beast And you're gonna see I don't know if this is gonna work out real well, but I'm gonna try to do a minor illusion Okay, and and fabricate what Del Mar looks looked like okay, and
00:24:49
Speaker
He was afflicted with ailments that were similar but more severe than yours. I can imagine he took the eyes of that creature long enough for many of us to get out of there. I can imagine he, well, all these years I have imagined he did not survive it, that he was either dead or had become like the cursed creature.
00:25:16
Speaker
I think that probably would have been it, but he had hope on his side. His daughter? Yes. Were you aware of his daughter? His wife. He spoke of them constantly. She was in this town, asking for help. I thought I knew everything that happened in this city. Why would they keep this from me?
00:25:39
Speaker
probably for the best for her sake. I mean, if you would have known, you would have just told her that he was dead. She would have lost her hope and we never would have been able to find him. It's a little bit serendipitous that didn't happen that way. Well, did you go there on a job for the chief? It was a job. I'm not sure it was truly under the chief. It was
00:26:05
Speaker
It was basically being ignored for a long time by the chief. I don't know why no one took the job because his daughter just didn't believe that he was dead. It seems you've discovered that she was right. I don't know if I felt happy in a while, but this is close.
00:26:32
Speaker
You've already answered the great question for me. I feel grateful for your assistance to Delmar. He was a friend. Please, can I have my log, my writings? So it was you. You were the last captain there. I was.
00:26:53
Speaker
I was. As I said, I would not have left had I thought that man was left alive there. I did not leave as a coward in retreat. I was dragged there with no legs, a non-working arm, and slipping in and out of consciousness. I was dragged away. Delmar, in a way, sacrificed himself for the safety of everyone else. I think that he'd be happy to know that you got out alive, in spite of the issues obviously that came with it. You did not bring him here, did you?
00:27:23
Speaker
Not all the way to town, no. This is why I do not leave my home. This is why I do not open my windows. Monsters are only hunted in Wild Hill. And if you look at me, a man who rides a cart everywhere he goes, a man whose face looks like I wear a mask when it is really just my face, I would be a monster.
00:27:51
Speaker
I wouldn't hunt you. As much as I despise you working with Dinaldi, I wouldn't hunt you. Devin's going to hand over his slog to him. He takes it and begins to thumb through it. You can see his mouth kind of mouthing the words as he reads over it and you could see a tear forming in his non-deformed eye as it kind of leaks.
00:28:16
Speaker
He starts to cry a little bit as he reads through it and closes his eye and closes the book. As he's reading through it. I want to to basically say. Hurley. I was an officer, the armies of Helmand.

Krigs' Shift in Allegiance

00:28:32
Speaker
I visited that fort as we searched for Delmar and found this book and. I saw the torture pits, I saw.
00:28:43
Speaker
things that had to have happened in that fort and I I know what it's like to fight a fight that you may not believe in even though that's the only thing you know I think it's only fair that you know now I no longer fight for help I fight instead for the wilds I fight for the forests here I fight I fight for the spirits
00:29:09
Speaker
of the great ones that so many here might be inclined to kill. I think it's only fair you know just who I am and where I've been and what I've done. You and I have a kinship that you may not have found so often out here in Wild Hill. You're not alone.
00:29:36
Speaker
I am grateful for your words. I am surprised. I am surprised by this encounter. I expected to defend my sell and trade of magic items and my use of hunters to give me what I need to make them magical, but instead I get answers to these long haunting questions and possibly
00:30:01
Speaker
possibly an entire night's sleep tonight because of it. I'm surprised. I'm surprised too. I thought we were going to come in here and kill you. I still haven't decided if we are. He takes his good arm and he kind of, you know, spreads it out wide, like opening, opening up his self to you. And he says, there is not too much I could do to stop you. My sword arm is useless. And he points down to the arm that's just laying limply in his lap.
00:30:34
Speaker
I feel that you should probably know that Delmar mentioned clerics or priests that he was going to try to head to. I don't know if that means much to you, but he felt that maybe they could help him with his current ailment. So he left town. I suppose they probably could, especially if he has been able to hold on to this long.
00:31:03
Speaker
It seems that his will to survive and move through this has gotten him this far. I think they will just give him the push that he needs. Hopefully, hopefully we can see him. I can see him again. Now, as for the request that you had, was it related to this?

Investigating the Source of Curses

00:31:24
Speaker
Someone in the Northern Wilds, in the untouched lands, someone
00:31:31
Speaker
is cursing these creatures. Someone there, something there, gave the Rinaldi what he needed to create that boar. Something is coming after the Wilds, or Wild Hill, through the Wilds, and seems to want to swallow it all up. I am just asking for someone who has a knack for asking the right questions to go there.
00:32:02
Speaker
I do not know what is there. I have not been. I have only heard and read of what is there. And my fear is that most hunters would turn and come back if they took it at all, because their questions, well, they don't ask them. They follow blindly and do what they are told, like I did. And that is what got me in this chair. You ask the right questions. We need to have an alcohol cell if I were taking on the jobs that nobody else seems to want.
00:32:31
Speaker
I chuckle at that. I think this is not just your request. I think this is what we've been looking for the whole time anyway. What do you think, guys? I'm in. Although that doesn't defend the artifacts that you're making. That's still a question that we do need to understand.

Creation of Magic Items

00:32:51
Speaker
Yeah, what exactly are you doing with this alchemical stuff that you're making from the Borblood? It is very simple.
00:33:00
Speaker
There is a man here. Well, he is partly a man. He has a, as you have a knack for asking the right questions, he has a knack for taking magic and imbuing items with the right, with the right artifacts or not artifacts, but with the right resources, I guess he can make this magic quite powerful, not more powerful than the magic items of old you've heard of.
00:33:30
Speaker
but powerful enough to sell for a high price to those who might be interested. So the hunters hunt, they bring back the bounty that they have harvested from the wilds. He takes them, creates the ingredients he needs.
00:33:50
Speaker
creates whatever he can from those ingredients. And sometimes it is weapons. Sometimes it is other kinds of artifacts to entice people to purchase. Here, in fact, then he reaches into his pocket and he pulls out a little ring. It's just a ring and he says, this ring, the metal in this ring was blended with the ashes of the hide
00:34:20
Speaker
of a magical creature that the hunter took down underground in the wilds. The creature was able to cast magical spells. This ring allows you to keep a spell in it. You can cast this spell at any time. I do not wear it. I am not able to cast spells, so I do not put anything in it. But am I the way it looks? Go ahead. Am I feeling any kind of way as he's talking about this stuff?
00:34:50
Speaker
I mean, I don't know, what do you mean? Like, are you? That's, it's, okay. I have my own personal feelings, but then I have this new charge of mine. Oh, okay. Am I feeling any kind of devotion guidance or similar to how Helm would pass, you know? Sure. Certain things. Sure. You speak with your deities. Am I feeling any kind of way as he's describing this? I would say at this point,
00:35:20
Speaker
It's kind of your own discretion. I mean, Krigs's, because there is an element of getting used to this new relationship you have with nature and the wilds. I mean, you literally a couple of weeks ago were trying to knock down trees with your hammer. I'm still doing it, I'm just kidding. I know, right? Now you're like, okay, I feel like, you may get this feeling like, I feel like I should,
00:35:48
Speaker
care that they're doing this and I should not be OK with this. And then you kind of like that. Should this be bothering me? Like literally what you ask me, maybe Krigs is just thinking in his own mind. Right. Just kind of sorting through his own. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. I think that makes sense for Krigs. Do you think that the the hunt currently that that goes in Wild Hill is breaking its own balance?
00:36:17
Speaker
for these magic items. I think that there is another question I need answered. I think, let me ask you this way, tell me, what is the first creature you killed in Wild Hill? It was an elder. I mean technically I think we killed a jockrobot for dinner.
00:36:44
Speaker
All the Jack, yes. That was just on the outskirts of what? If that conversation happened Gwen's just shaking her head. All right. Look over at Blaze. It was a great elk. At least that was the first major beast that we were sent for.
00:37:09
Speaker
That is the rumor I have heard and please allow me to tell you I have seen no item go through my dealings that used anything from that elk you destroyed. So that means one of two things. Either the chief is holding out and he is dealing behind my back and taking more powerful creatures than we have agreed upon
00:37:38
Speaker
creatures that we have no business hunting and using their carcasses and resources and somehow dealing no longer through me. We have a system. I believe it is possible he is going behind my back. This does not make me happy. There is not much I can do. My dispel spell worked. My dispel magic worked.
00:38:08
Speaker
Is that Ash, or? Yeah, it's me. Okay. Oh yeah, no, wait, she's just kind of, her eyes are kind of bright. I will tell you there has been no discussion of destroying creatures that seem to be placed in the wilds to protect us from the things we are facing now. No discussion from me to the chief and his dealings with the hunters.
00:38:32
Speaker
You have to take my word on that. I swear on my life and the life of my friend Delmar that I just now have discovered is still intact. You see me just like the tension that's been around just kind of relaxes a bit. I will take your words on that. I will accept your journey to the untouched lands at this point. I'm not sure I have any further questions myself.
00:39:02
Speaker
Although compensation. You say did you say compensation? Yeah, yeah. He flicks you that ring. I don't know if I would have been ready to catch it. It's deposit, he says. Hurley. 15, so yeah. You catch it. Thank you. Hurley, you said someone uses the magic out of these.

He does. He is a tinker of sorts. The chief or somebody else? It is someone else. He lives at the northern part of town near the mountains. In town, though? Yes, he's here. His name is Tub. I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting Tub. Well, folks, I think we need to go solve the mystery.

Speaker
I think this is the most guidance we've had in quite some time. Thank you, Hurley. Please, as long as I'm having a good day and feeling good, you can come speak to me anytime. Just tell Slim that you'd like to meet and I will be ready to speak in a few hours. I spend most of my days laying down. You must understand the total takes on me to be up and around in this way. Hurley.
00:40:29
Speaker
Yes. Is Tub short for a name? I do not know. I have never asked. Okay. Unless anybody has any more questions, I think we'll let him go get his rest now. I appreciate your time today and I'm very grateful for your truthful answers about your time at the fortress.
00:40:58
Speaker
Thank you for taking the time to talk to us. We also had a letter and a dagger. Oh, yeah. I completely forgot about those things. Did you have a wife, Hurley? No, I was never married. I suppose that my life was dedicated to serving the army, so I never fell in love, never had time.
00:41:26
Speaker
Then maybe the next time we visit, we can bring that item and letter and it might remind you of something. The next time the group, the messengers come through that I talk with, you can see if they might know who that letter is for. They travel quite a bit around the nearby area, buying and selling and trading goods, especially weapons and items like what I sell.
00:41:55
Speaker
The, um, jocks are mentioned a letter in a knife. It belonged to a guy named Theldrin. You remember Theldrin? Yes, he, uh, I left him in command, didn't I? You did. And he left us a letter for his wife, Doris. Do you happen to know if she's still alive or where she is? I believe he was from Milltown, I believe.
00:42:22
Speaker
south of the mountains. I have no reason to think she would not still be there. Doris, he spoke of her very fondly. I believe he loved her very much. I'm going to look over at Blaze since he was the one who took it. Would you like to offer it to Hurley and see if he can get it delivered? I don't see why not.
00:42:49
Speaker
Thank you. The next time the soldiers are through town, I will give it to them and they can see if they can find it next time they go through Miltown. Thank you again for today. I will probably eat and take a nice rest. Please, when you have answers, let me know. And if you have any questions between now and then, my door is open as long as, as I said, I'm having a good day.
00:43:18
Speaker
We'll let you know when we're back in town. I have a feeling we're going to be in North for a little while. Yes, I feel the same way. You don't happen to have any directions besides just that direction, do you? The furthest anyone has ever gotten is to a giant wall made of trees and vines and branches. It is somewhere beyond that. Well, that's a place to start. That's for sure. That's all I know.
00:43:48
Speaker
And he turns and starts to roll out of the room. It's been a pleasure, Hurley. And I would have started walking away at that point. As he starts to exit the room, I kind of give him a neutral salute, not one that is helm specific. OK. He's kind of turned and going your direction, so he can't necessarily see you or going away from you.
00:44:15
Speaker
And kind of as you do that, he calls back to what Joxer said and said, the pleasure is mine. I flip him off and walk away. He doesn't see it. So then he casts power word kill. Nice. And that's the end of the end. And I die. Again. It's been real.
