sneezed through that. I tried to keep it quiet. I hope it doesn't come on the sound board ah on the recording, but you might hear like a gulp. I didn't hear a thing. Really? Okay, good. I not hear a thing. That was like almost painful.

Directing Will Ferrell

00:02:52
Speaker
to other... What are you laughing at? I got a little trigger happy with the soundboard.
00:02:59
Speaker
ah But, like, I think I'm a friend that people go to for advice. I've always been told that i give really good advice. My brother called me the for for the first time. He's almost 50 years old. He's, like, 48, I think.
00:03:13
Speaker
And he called me the other day and asked me for advice. So, you know, get in line, people. Okay. Yes. I think, well, both of us are very old souls. We have wisdom beyond our years. We're both people who are friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, whoever come to us for guidance and advice. So just want to put that out there for all of you guys as well.
00:03:36
Speaker
Okay. So now let's go into our...
00:03:46
Speaker
housekeeping sound that's what the giggle is the vacuum it's a vacu we're just doing some chores over here That is so funny. That's a new sound. I like it, Mal. I know. i thought you'd I thought you would appreciate that. So I think i do off to start off housekeeping, we need an update from, you know, last episode, it was right before you went on this massive, massive work trip where you were directing an A-lister. So we couldn't say who his name was last time. So we would love for you to share what happened and who you were working with.
00:04:20
Speaker
So for the last 10 days, I was working with a couple different clients, but the biggest client that I was working with was the one and only Will Ferrell.
00:04:32
Speaker
oh and OMG. And I was directing him one-on-one by myself, no other crew, just me, as he was dressed in his character, Lonnie the Hawk. I guess if I'm going to be really committed, I should say i just spent the last four days or four of my work days interviewing the greatest golfer of all time, Lonnie the Hawk Hawkins. Amazing. And I had the distinct pleasure and privilege to follow the Hawk through Pinehurst, North Carolina, when he got inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame.
00:05:08
Speaker
Wow. I had the pleasure of following him around New York City and Times Square and watching the World Cup game with him last week. ah Then we went into Central Park together.
00:05:19
Speaker
And then we went to the Hamptons together and spent the day in the Hamptons, seeing everybody about the greatest show of all time, the show about his life, Lonnie the Hawk.
00:05:31
Speaker
And then on Wednesday, I was in Cromwell, Connecticut for the Pro-Am, following him around while he interviewed people. And yeah, I just had honestly the most incredible creative experience that I've had to date.
00:05:50
Speaker
I didn't expect Lonnie the Hawk to be so funny. didn't expect- That's shocking. That's shocking that you didn't expect him to be so funny. Well, because listen, Lonnie's an incredible golfer, but he's had a lot of challenges in his career. And you know at a younger time in his life, he wasn't so funny. He took himself too seriously, I think. Yeah.
00:06:15
Speaker
But I think when you have been humbled the way that he has been humbled, that you inevitably have a sense of humor to things. And I think that that kind of attitude is going to be what helps take him to the top of his game again.
00:06:28
Speaker
um Well, both of us are such huge golf fans. So. Right. And being facetious. to see Right, exactly. I didn't like golf until I met Lonnie. And now golf is my favorite sport.
00:06:43
Speaker
Wow. Wow. yeah that is it That's a huge turnaround, like complete 180 for you. I don't know if I would ever be able to say that. That's just because you haven't met Lonnie yet.
00:06:55
Speaker
This is true. If you were to meet Lonnie, that would change for you. It has that effect on people. I have a little past relationship trauma with golfers. So, you know, it's a little tough for me. But, you know, Lonnie is lonnie's a different story. So very possible. and that's something Lonnie hears all the time. Okay. And, and some in you know, if you asked his wife, Stacey, I'm pretty sure his wife is Stacey. Stacey would say the same thing.
00:07:25
Speaker
But when you're just one-on-one with Lonnie, he's so full of rizs. It's really hard to have anything against the game. i can I can see that. Now, there is this viral video of him in Central Park that I thought was so hilarious because my favorite movie of all time is le big is The Big Lebowski. So you have to tell this story. Well, so I was directing Lonnie through Central Park with his caddy and they were golfing through Central Park and we were trying to find bits
00:07:59
Speaker
because we're building Lonnie's Instagram. So I'm trying to get as much content that we can use in an evergreen way, but also in a relative way to the promotion of the show, which is the show about his life, the greatest story of all time. And when we were kind of around in the afternoon and it was Juneteenth, so it was national holiday. So there were a lot of people just hanging out in central park.
00:08:24
Speaker
And I saw a bunch of hippies playing music and smoking in the reefer. And I said, Lonnie, I think you should go sit with those guys over there and start talking and hanging out with those guys.
00:08:40
Speaker
He was like, really? You think so? was like, Lonnie, I think you should definitely spend some time over there. And we walked over there and lo and behold, was there was Jeff Bridges.
00:08:51
Speaker
And the funny thing about it was... You couldn't really tell. Was it Jeff Bridges? Was it not Jeff Bridges? Is Jeff Bridges also on Ozempic? Who's to say? And Lonnie wasn't sure either. And Lonnie just, he took that man at his word and that man said he was Jeff Bridges and Lonnie just took it on. And he went with it. we had this incredible moment where the greatest golfer of all time met the greatest actor of all time.
00:09:20
Speaker
And just um through Central Park. It was really, really special. and was That was hilarious. I was getting such a kick out of watching all of Lonnie the Hawk's stories as you were filming and and going around with him.

Dating Adventures and Etiquette

00:09:35
Speaker
Some of the things, i could see you in it, like in some of the stories, which there's one in particular that was one of the funniest things ever. And I shared it on the Long Distance Roomies podcast stories. So, okay, you have to tell them about what happened.
00:09:50
Speaker
Well, so... We, Lonnie doesn't have a very big budget for a big crew. Okay. So he's coming back from some financial hardship. And so we only had enough money for me to be camera, sound, edit, like all of it. So usually i have somebody who can, I have a camera person and then somebody watching the camera person's back and I'm not ever usually holding the camera.
00:10:20
Speaker
But on this one, since I'm all of the people, I was, and I'm on the biggest job of my life, capturing the legend himself, Lonnie the Hawk Hawkins. And when he, when your eyes are on Lonnie, it is hard to see or focus on anything else because he's just so handsome and charismatic and engaging. The whole world disappears.
00:10:42
Speaker
And so I had the camera on Lonnie and I had to run backwards basically for four days. And this was within the first 10 minutes of my four days of running backwards. Yeah. And I, this was in Pinehurst and I crashed into the table of the very fancy lobby and the vase of flowers is literally rocking back and forth. And luckily Lonnie has very good hand eye coordination and saw the vase. He is a pro golfer.
00:11:09
Speaker
He's a pro golfer. So he stopped it. and then we kept going and kept going. And I'm so focused on Lonnie And then I fell backwards on the staircase, and which was caught on camera by a um a Hawk fan. and whole thing was caught on camera. Many a camera. Many a camera.
00:11:31
Speaker
And I fell back and hit the stair on my butt so hard. i'm so My coccyx is still bruised. I'm... I spent two nights sleeping on ice packs and it was the beginning of the day and I couldn't say anything. I couldn't complain. I had didn't have anyone. i just had to ignore it all day long and keep shooting him. You just popped up like a little bunny rabbit. That's right. That's right. I didn't miss a beat with Lonnie. I just popped right back up.
00:11:58
Speaker
And then, but I couldn't help but blame Lonnie. was like, Lonnie, you should have told me. and you could see him being like, I'm sorry.
00:12:10
Speaker
I didn't see it. I didn't know. It was so funny. Oh my It was great. And then and then at the end of the clip, there was like an a side staircase where, again, you were still walking backwards and and you didn't see it. And I just heard someone in the background yell, stairs. And that was when the clip ended. And it was so, yeah it was so, so funny. I was just, Dee, I was so proud of you. Just the whole week. Thank This is...
00:12:34
Speaker
This is huge. Yes, Lonnie the Hawk is amazing, but I'm a little bit more excited about Will Ferrell. So i just, I'm in awe. And every, all of your experience, it was leading up to this and you killed it. And this is, this is the beginning of so many incredible things for you. And I'm just so proud of you. And I'm so proud that you're my BFF, my long distance roommate.
00:12:56
Speaker
Thank you, Molly. I really appreciate it. Thank you. I saw this really interesting study that um i I saw on a reel by this this woman. um Her name is Dr. B Unfiltered and she's like a sex therapist, but she also is, she has ADHD and she deals with a lot of clients who have ADHD. I have ADHD. So it's it's very appealing to me. And and this in this reel, she was talking about this new study called Liking You Doesn't Mean i Want Your Dick Pick.
00:13:34
Speaker
And it, which, right? Right? Yes. Yes. In fact, it almost always means I don't. Yes. Yes. Okay. So so basically it is it was a study that was released in the archives of sexual behavior. It followed 218 women. and That's an interesting number.
00:13:57
Speaker
It is an interesting number. She had 220 and then two dropped out? You never know. mean, it could have started at 250. It's like you never you know yeah know And whether or not the woman had shown previous like sexual interest, romantic interest in a guy, when she received an unsolicited dick pic, it increased her anxiety, her anger, her hostility.
00:14:21
Speaker
And her sadness. And it decreased happiness and feelings of power. And the only women wow right the the only women who responded more positively to those unsolicited dick pics had internalized myths about cybersexual violence.
00:14:41
Speaker
and What does that mean? so So basically like they were they believed in the patriarchal bullshit. And they were like, they were cyber sex is receiving a dick pic cyber sexual violence.
00:14:58
Speaker
Okay. Okay. An unsolicited dick pic. An unsolicited dick pic. Yes. Cyber sexual violence. It is a form of cybersexual violence. It is, for sure.
00:15:10
Speaker
And then they, okay, and then in this study, they also looked at what happened when these women were talking about their experience publicly online of getting an unsolicited dick pic. And the responses that they documented from men were complete minimization and then victim blaming the women for getting these dick pics.
00:15:32
Speaker
and Even though they were unsolicited. Yes, Like, oh, you must have done something to make him want to send you this dick pic, which is, i feel like, the perfect encapsulation of the patriarchy and misogyny and just, I don't know. I thought it was really interesting because I'm lucky in my life I haven't received a lot of unsolicited dick pics, but when I have gotten them, it is always such a turnoff and i feel I feel violated.
00:16:03
Speaker
Totally. And I didn't realize... Like that's what I'm piecing together and connecting right now, cyber sexual violence, because I have definitely received those before. i don't know. what i I feel like there is there is nothing good that can come from sending an unsolicited dick pic. But for any of our...
00:16:24
Speaker
male residents, our male listeners, don't send unsolicited dick pics. Just don't. little bit. It was very unexpected with someone who I've known for a couple of months and and just, you know, we were we were friends and he's he's followed my social content about dating. And then he's been following us on long distance roomies.
00:16:53
Speaker
and And, so he reached out to me and he wanted some advice on this girl that he was trying to date. And we were we were DMing a little bit on Instagram and then I was like, Hey, just here's my number. We can, we can chat. It'll be easier.
00:17:08
Speaker
And we were chatting and I was giving him some advice about this girl that he wanted to date. And then he's like, oh, well what are you doing tomorrow? I'm going kayaking on the Colorado River. do you want to come? and i was like. and Wow, how big of you? I would have been like, boat, alone on a river. Sounds like a possible place to be murdered, but sounds good.
00:17:31
Speaker
I knew him. i like i've I've been to a party at his house. Like i I know who this person is. He's a respected member of the community. So and I love kayaking. i was like, I haven't gone kayaking on the Colorado River before. That sounds really fun. And so we went and I went into it. and I was like, I think this is date.
00:17:54
Speaker
a I think this is a date. So we we went kayaking and it was it was great and we had we had really good conversation and he's really interesting, kind person.

Reflections on Dating and Growth

00:18:07
Speaker
we had fun. and so we were out for, i don't know, four or five hours on the river and then he cooked he cooked me dinner. It was a fun day. And then we we hung out again after that. He's traveling this week. But i yeah, so I'm, I'm in the dating world, but it feels good because I'm not looking for a boyfriend. I'm, so I'm still enjoying this moment of celibacy and I'm, you know, it's like, I'm moving. We want different things. This is, this is not my person.
00:18:40
Speaker
But it's it's nice to be able to put some of the wisdom and lessons that I have have learned and gained in in my six months away from dating into practice.
00:18:52
Speaker
and What do you feel like you've learned? I feel like... What do you like is different? For me, it is... Just loving being single, not not putting my energy into, oh, let's see if we can make this work.
00:19:08
Speaker
I really want to make this person so happy. I want to prove that I am like great girlfriend material. like I don't give a fuck. Like I'm just I'm being me. I'm enjoying it. I'm just having fun getting to know someone and not getting swept up.
00:19:24
Speaker
And because I'm not interested in in leaving b my little celibacy moment, you know, we'll see how long he sticks around. But it's been but, you know, this is someone who could be a good friend. But he he sent me this video of Matthew Hussey talking about who should pay on a date after, after, you know, I was telling him about our last episode.
00:19:50
Speaker
And, and this video was really honestly to me repulsive. He's like, yeah, I agree with what Matthew Hussey says. And he was basically saying that women, if a woman does not offer to pay for half of a date, then she doesn't have good manners.
00:20:08
Speaker
and And I was like, what? I'm not offering to pay. If you're asking me to I'm not to pay. If you don't pay for a date you don't have good manners. Well, that's what he said also.
00:20:20
Speaker
But I'm not offering to, if you're asking me out, I'm not offering to split a date. And then he was, and then in this video, it was also, he was like, well, yeah, because if you're, if you're always expecting me to pay for, pay for dinner, then shouldn't I always expect you to have sex with me whenever I want? And I'm like, how is that a comparison? How is that a fair comparison? And it's not transactional.
00:20:45
Speaker
No. and he And he was saying, he's like, but if but if a woman is always expecting a man to pay, then it is transactional. I'm like, no. it's You're not thinking about all the other things that, all of the other costs that it takes for a woman to be in relationship, all the other risks for women to be in relationship. and they're Like they're putting so much on the line to just go on a date.
00:21:07
Speaker
Exactly. it's it's It's actually potentially dangerous. Like you said, I could have, you know, gotten kidnapped and murdered on the river, but. Luckily, that didn't happen. but But I talked to him about this. And then he's like, oh, yeah, actually, I totally agree with you. But it was a little dicey for a moment. So I'm like, if this is what you actually believe, then I don't think there's there's any um any much chance for us to move forward. But, you know, we'll see what happens. You constructive conversation about it.
00:21:35
Speaker
We did We did. So yeah. And we actually, when we were driving back from the river, we listened to the first episode of the pod together. And that was my first time listening with someone else.
00:21:46
Speaker
And he's like, are you how does this feel for you? I was like, it feels great. I love our show. he was really enjoying it too. so good So yeah. So he's probably going to be listening to this. So, you know, we'll we'll see what happens. But I'm- I'll save my opinions for offline.
00:22:03
Speaker
Just kidding. Yeah, please don't. Give me your opinions right now. Well, I always appreciate someone who wants to have a challenging conversation, but I don't know if that would be the place that I would challenge a conversation.
00:22:19
Speaker
Right? Yeah. Like, let's, I'd rather talk politics than talk that. Hmm. Than the debate of manners between a man and a woman on the expectations and like what people are bringing to the table.
00:22:35
Speaker
But it's just my personal opinion.

Podcast Impact on Dating Lives

00:22:38
Speaker
Okay. So what do what do you think about me getting back into dating right now? It's interesting because when you first brought it up to me, it made me think about if I was ready in my total narcissistic way.
00:22:49
Speaker
And it made me realize I'm really not. Like, it made me feel like me.
00:22:58
Speaker
But I'm also like... very happy to hear how it feels like getting back on the horse, so to speak, and seeing what it feels like to be riding with some new information.
00:23:14
Speaker
yeah So I think we've really considered this to be a time where we're like gathering information. and it makes me also feel excited ah looking forward to the moment where I do feel ready and that I will know when I feel ready.
00:23:30
Speaker
And it's such interesting to hear you talking about dating, just knowing all the people that you've dated in the past. And it was interesting just now to hear you say ah you wanted to prove that you would be a good girlfriend because as your long distance roommate, and this is how I feel about like you and Sam, my other like divorced friend, and she's in a relationship, but like,
00:24:00
Speaker
that there's like, I would, and I mean this in a totally heterosexual way, like I'm not, but I would, I would love to date either one of you exactly as you are.
00:24:13
Speaker
Like, I don't think that you need to prove yourself as a good girlfriend because you're just so great exactly how you are.
00:24:23
Speaker
and Well, i very much appreciate that. You're welcome. come But it's true. Like, but, hearing you word it that way or phrase it that way makes me think back about some of the people that you were dating and that I think you were doing that, trying to show that you were the perfect kind of girlfriend and teaching them how to treat a girlfriend and how to be.
00:24:49
Speaker
You were showing them exactly what kind of girlfriend you wanted to be as opposed to just being yourself. I think that it's, it was a lot of, And I've been working for a very long time to get past my people pleasing and to be...
00:25:05
Speaker
And it and it I think just I've done so much work on decentering men and I don't care about being chosen anymore. And that's really what it was. I wanted to be chosen. i wanted to be validated. But now I've chosen myself and i and I validate myself and I have picked myself. and yeah And that does feel different. And it's also like this guy is not my normal type.
00:25:30
Speaker
and Well, I know that. And so I think that is also liberating because it's just, there's just no pressure. Like he's a great guy. I'm definitely attracted to him, but he's not my normal type.
00:25:45
Speaker
And so I think that makes it, I think I was, I was so much so focused on, he has to be this specific type of guy and look like this and act like this and getting a little bit more loose and flexible with some of those preferences, I think is going to do me a lot of good moving forward.
00:26:05
Speaker
ay Totally. I completely agree. And this is a great, like you're moving to Miami and There's like nothing to lose and everything to gain. And this is just an experiment receiving information.
00:26:23
Speaker
and but in dala And if it starts to distract me from what I'm focusing on and what I'm building and what I'm doing, then it's like, bye. Yeah. I mean, one thing that I think was saying to you the other day, like the thought of being in some sort of situation where I'm like figuring out if I'm packing a bag and going to somebody's house. It's like, no, thank you.
00:26:46
Speaker
Right. Right. Well, and he's totally geographically desirable. He lives 10 minutes away from me, which is real convenient. Makes things a lot easier. That is convenient. Yeah.
00:26:57
Speaker
I cannot believe how much time was spending in the car driving to my ex-boyfriend. Yeah. No, no, no, no. Absolutely not. it's It's not worth it. Time is running people. It's everything. It is our most valuable resource. So yeah, the more geographically desirable, the better. That's a huge that's a huge plus.
00:27:17
Speaker
But you know that it it just goes to show that now that we're doing this podcast and we're talking about dating and relationships, you know, the men that we date are going to have to be cool with being discussed on long distance roomies.
00:27:34
Speaker
But I think that's also, that's something that, you know, and I'm not, I'm not naming names. He's, he's a mystery man, but I think, you know, it'll be interesting to see who comes out of the woodwork now that we are doing this. Okay. Tell me. I've already had some just like DMing me being like, so like,
00:27:56
Speaker
Are you going to start talking about us or talk about me on the pod? And listen A, you would be so lucky if you came into my thought space to talk about you.
00:28:09
Speaker
But now that you've DMed me to ask if you were going to, you have now I might. It's funny because this is a little raunchy, if you're okay with me being a little raunchy right now. but Hello, who who are you talking to?
00:28:25
Speaker
Well, I know I'm talking to you, but i don't know who else I'm talking to. ah So, but he just, he had said something along the lines of like, are you going to like tell people that I was into like butt play basically? And I was like, no, I would probably talk about it more broadly and say, one thing I know about guys in finance is they all really just want you to put your finger in their butt.
00:28:58
Speaker
And he started to laugh. And I was like, seriously, when you're, just remember, when you're sitting across conference room table, the tough negotiation, remember at the end of the day, you both want the same thing.
00:29:16
Speaker
And it's true. Wow. they're like so and I actually think like it's a very alpha thing. Like the most alpha male is actually somebody who's comfortable and confident enough to say that they like that.
00:29:31
Speaker
Because I think if most men were a little bit more comfortable with themselves, they would realize that how good that feels. So I do have respect and appreciation for it. Okay.
00:29:44
Speaker
That's just a funny thing to think about. but It's really, that is really funny. Well, our audience, you're going to have to let us know. Do you agree with this? Let's get into our tea time on that note.

Health and Personal Growth

00:29:55
Speaker
no fifteen I'm actually going to go right into my tea, my actual tea, because this is a concoction that I've made that my friend in my yoga class, my yoga speakeasy taught me. It's homemade electrolytes.
00:30:10
Speaker
And it is. What are homemade electrolytes? Wow. It's like a homemade Gatorade, so to speak, but natural. Okay. This is looking particularly golden and yellow. It is water, ice, ginger, a whole lemon. I squeezed the lemon, but then I put the whole lemon in, so it's the lemon rinds and stuff too. Okay.
00:30:32
Speaker
Turmeric, a little baking soda, and a little salt. And then you can add honey if you want, or even some mint. And I blend it up. And it tastes so yummy. And I drink it throughout the day or the week, especially when I'm doing hot yoga or after.
00:30:48
Speaker
i put it in a lot of turmeric. That's why it's like so golden. So golden. Which I don't necessarily recommend doing because if you've seen that episode from The Pit and that woman drinks too much turmeric and then she like gives herself kidney poisoning or something. So I wouldn't recommend that. I definitely don't want to do that.
00:31:03
Speaker
oh But I love this concoction. And that's one thing I'm doing for myself in self-care space. What about you, baby? So, well, so I wanted to give a little update because I had therapy since our, since the last time we filmed an episode.
00:31:19
Speaker
And in our first episode, I talked about how someone had done me dirty and my therapist suggested using the assertiveness formula for assertive communication. And I did use the assertiveness formula and I did communicate respectfully how someone had hurt me and why and what I needed moving forward.
00:31:47
Speaker
And they did not respond well and they told me i was nasty and mean. any and i mean, and I'm not going to go into all the details but it was… It was… abominable what this person had done yeah and totally over the line and disrespectful.
00:32:08
Speaker
And and my I showed the text thread to my therapist and she's like, A plus, you communicated exactly how you needed to and they just couldn't handle the fact that they hurt you.
00:32:23
Speaker
And that is what they were saying about. Is there anything better than receiving an A plus from your therapist? I know. That felt really good. So what about you? Have you you have you had therapy since our last session or no? No. And I actually am rescheduling Monday. My therapist has to reschedule. We haven't set a date.
00:32:43
Speaker
But what I will say is that in just self-reflection and given what the last couple weeks work-wise has been for me, spent so much time being worried if I would be able to accomplish the things or work at the level that I want to work at and continued to being continue continuing to be able to do what I want to do and work in the industry that I want to work in And this week was a reminder that like, it's all in due time and to actually not to just live your life and everything will build around it and to not try and build something
00:33:25
Speaker
especially when you're a creative person and an artist, it can be so scary in terms of like financial security and everything. But like you your art will only be as solid in your career will only be as solid as you are willing to risk living your life in its freest way. And trusting that it will all still happen because as an artist, you have to live.
00:33:53
Speaker
and That's what's been happening. So I feel really good about that. I love that. Yeah. Yeah. I think now we should probably move into the weather the energetic weather forecast.
00:34:07
Speaker
And okay. So this is, this is for the, the week of July 7th to 13th.

Astrological Insights

00:34:18
Speaker
And again, this is just so you have someone else to blame other than yourself when the shit hits the fan and And this week, I'm just going to talk about a couple things that are going on this week. And it's very personal for me because I have both of these placements in my birth chart.
00:34:32
Speaker
And so it's great for me. i can I can really explain it and let you guys know how it how it feels. So yeah on on Thursday, July 9th, Venus enters Virgo and it's in Virgo until August six And this is not a happy place for Venus to be. It's literally the worst place where Venus can be. Astrologers call it her fall.
00:34:58
Speaker
So basically it means that like when you whatever you love or value most can feel critical and nitpicky and a little bit cold. But it can actually be a really, really good transit because it makes you a lot more selective and your standards get much higher. And it's great for collaborating on something that's very meaningful.
00:35:21
Speaker
But you're going start noticing things that annoy you about who you're collaborating with, whether it is romantic platonic, professional, whatever. you know so it's like, whether it's a flippant text. I hope we don't get annoyed at each other.
00:35:33
Speaker
i know. Well, so this is just a good thing to be wary of and to to know that there's potential. um Yeah. so Well, and it might be since I'm editing the next episodes, it might be me being like,
00:35:44
Speaker
Hello? i need help. No, I got you. i got you But it's, yeah, a lot of it is about reciprocity. But before you start keeping score, ask yourself if you have actually communicated what you need.
00:35:58
Speaker
Because Venus in Virgo, and let me tell you from personal experience, it will let you build an entire case in your head and a shitload of resentment without saying an actual word to someone. So Yeah. Communicate, be open, be clear. It's really, really important. Venus and Virgo can actually be really powerful and amazing but there's… It can be really challenging as well.
00:36:18
Speaker
um And then the second transit that I think is so much easier and better and more positive and that everyone will love is on Sunday, July 12th, the Mercury Kazemi in Cancer. And I also have a natal Mercury Kazemi. So this is something that is my favorite part of my birth chart. So it's basically, this is the best day of Mercury retrograde. It's when the sun and Mercury meet.
00:36:44
Speaker
And that's when the static clears, like all of the communication mishaps are are cleared just for a few hours. So this is when you're going to get your divine inspiration, your aha moment, your clarity. Yeah.
00:36:59
Speaker
because Mercury retrograde can be a little bit foggy. So this is this is that moment when you can see everything really, really clearly, which is great. And then this one is in Cancer. And so the clarity that you get is going to be a lot more emotional rather than logical. So something that you've been feeling that you haven't been able to express it clearly, it's going to be really obvious.
00:37:19
Speaker
And so this is a really good time for journaling, articulating your thoughts, But like I said, it only lasts for a few hours. So take a lot of advantage.
00:37:29
Speaker
But yeah, that those are the the most important parts of your energetic weather for the week. So dress accordingly. i love that. Well, and it's good for us to keep in mind in our working relationship.
00:37:44
Speaker
Yes. don't want us to be annoyed and I want to be communicative with you. It's really important.

Tarot and Opportunities

00:37:49
Speaker
So I just pulled a card. Fortunes. Fortunes, wheel. Wheel.
00:37:56
Speaker
Luck and right timing. How about that? So what do you think right now? What is so fortuitous and lucky about this moment in time, do you think?
00:38:09
Speaker
For me personally? Just for for us. Well, I think you and I have both wanted to be doing something like this podcast for a while and we weren't ready and now we are.
00:38:20
Speaker
and we're doing it and it feels super natural and it doesn't, and not in the ufologist way, but in the actually natural way. Great shot.
00:38:32
Speaker
And that like everything is timing in relationships and work. And I'm reading this now and it says fortune's wheel, luck and right timing, a turn of fortune.
00:38:45
Speaker
The fortune's wheel is a sign that luck has found the right timing in your life. Is there anything more we need to say? no And it reminds me... have the touch and everything turns to gold. Oh, well, that's perfect. It reminds me of the idea that, you know, every overnight success takes years and years and years and years. Yeah.
00:39:03
Speaker
Yeah. And you can't just... There's nothing you can do wrong. Right. Yeah. hope And it actually, you know, i was talking to you before we started and I was just feeling kind of like bummer energy, mainly because my rent is going up and I went to the grocery store and it was so much... it was $120 to buy like literally 10 things, 15 things.
00:39:24
Speaker
Creepy. But I'm just deciding to have like the blind belief that like good is still coming for me and that I'm lucky and that it's all easy.
00:39:44
Speaker
Like everything they have with little resistance. I do. yeah um basically it says don't wait any longer carpe diem recall your boldest and noblest longing and invite it into your life the invitation is all that is required yeah okay i am inviting all of the luck fortune and creative energy into and partnership into my life Me too.
00:40:13
Speaker
Okay. and And everyone, all of our residents, all of our audience members, this is this these card pulls are for you as well. it's not just for the two of us. Yeah. Hopefully that resonates for everybody. I'm it will.
00:40:27
Speaker
Fridge note. Let's do our fridge note.

Clearing Negative Thoughts

00:40:31
Speaker
It's that time. Okay. should i Should I show you mine or do you want to show me yours? Show me yours.
00:40:40
Speaker
Okay. Ah, now I know what leverage I have over you in the boardroom.
00:40:51
Speaker
Not over me. Over every man you know in finance. the boys. Exactly. all right. You are your own best girlfriend. Yeah, i am Thank you.
00:41:05
Speaker
you're welcome. Oh, that is that is such a good one. That is such a good one. Well, you want to share what we're doing in our next episode? Yep. In our next episode, we interview a special guest who only dates gay men in the hopes of turning them straight.
00:41:20
Speaker
It's a good one. Oh, that that is a challenge. And who doesn't love a challenge? So should we we stage our should we stage our room together? ah and so You know, I think one of the one of the benefits of using sage or smudging is that you are clearing out old things that you don't need, whether it's negative energy or or things that are stagnant or no longer necessary or beneficial in your life. So Dee, what are you clearing out right now?
00:41:52
Speaker
I'm clearing out the negative thoughts of lack that have worked a lot to get out of and I kind of felt it creeping in today. like feeling that I'm not enough or that i need to be making more money or I'm not doing enough in my career, or stuff like that. And just clearing out that old story because it's not true.
00:42:14
Speaker
It is not true. And, and you know, I i feel like i that's what I've been doing with my dating break too in addition to all the work and finances stuff where I'm clearing out that lack too. But of feeling like i have to prove myself, feeling like I have to you know, be more, do more, show that I am worthy. But we're both worthy and we don't need to prove that. We already know a We just… And sharing our gifts.
00:42:45
Speaker
And that's that's what it is. True abundance. We are sharing gifts. Yep. Well, this was a great episode.
