Speaker: Now for our fun fact of the day. Let's talk about the big names in Spotify Wrapped this year. We'll start with the global lists. Do you know who the top artist was globally this year?
Speaker: And here's a hint, he'll be performing a pretty big gig in February 2026.
Speaker: The top global artist was Bad Bunny. He was also listed as having the top global album of the year as well. The top global song was Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. And do you know who was the top musical artist in the U.S.?
Speaker: That would be Taylor Swift, of course. She didn't have the top album, though. Morgan Wallen topped that list in the U.S. for his album I'm the Problem. And the top song in the U.S. s was Luther by Kendrick Lamar featuring SZA.
Speaker: Interestingly, another duet for the top song. And I'm dying to know, what was on your Spotify wrapped list this year? Okay, I feel like I'm living in an alternate reality maybe because I don't use Spotify. I use Apple Music. Okay. Well, Apple has theirs too, right?
Speaker: Yes. So what was on mine? This was the first year that Taylor Swift was not my number one song of the year. Wow. But she was my number one artist of the year. So every single month she was my top artist except for September when s Sabrina Carpenter was my number one artist. And then my top song of the year was Nobody's Son by s Sabrina Carpenter.
Speaker: Okay. Kind of an upset. it so long is Kind of an upset for me. What about you? I feel the same way. I feel like mine wasn't very accurate. Oh my God. Just bear with I have to look at mine. All right. right So top album, like The Life of a Showgirl.
Speaker: Of course. Top artist, The Weeknd. Okay. Lana Del Rey came in at number two and Taylor Swift came in at number three. And interestingly enough, Ordinary by Alex Warren was my number one song. I don't know how, wow but it was.
Speaker: Interesting. I mean, it is a great song. Yeah. um Okay. I'm trying to think if I had ah a best, a top album. I think my top album was s Sabrina Carpenter, Man's Best Friend. Okay. Which was a great album.
Speaker: My number one Taylor Swift song was, But Daddy, I Love Him. And I don't know That's why song. Again, because I listened to so many Taylor Swift songs that I don't know how the heck that ended up as number one. But.
Speaker: That was my favorite when that album first came out. The Tortured Post Department. All right, let's jump into a quick round of this or that based on today's theme.
Speaker: All right, this or that, soapy TV dramas, The White Lotus, Thailand, or The Hunting Wives. This is really tough for me.
Speaker: I loved the White Lotus, but I got to go with the Hunting Wives. I binge watched that. That was like so twisty and crazy. I think everybody was just like pleasantly surprised with that show. Like yeah no one was expecting that. Everyone was obviously expecting the White Lotus to be good. Right. but Yeah. Yeah, I know this. I can't wait for that next season to come out. um But I don't know. i think I have to go with the White Lotus. I just love like the music they play in it. It's like I love the twist in that, too.
Speaker: It's so good. Yeah. And it might have been because I was watching like. episodes that came out. So it was like I would have to wait until the next episode. So maybe that's why I was leaning a little more towards The Hunting Wives because actually was able to watch that in like one day or two days. it is There is something to being able to like be binge a show and like really get into the story. so i do kind of wish HBO would just...
Speaker: Yeah, just give us all the episodes, please. But yeah, but then it lasts longer, so that's probably why you do it. But that's I don't know. Yeah, the next White Lotus is going to be in Paris, I think, or France. Maybe not Paris, but France. I can't wait. Can't wait for that.

That's tough because they were both very shocking and they've all been together for a long time. But I think I have to go with Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban because too i can't imagine someone not knowing Nicole Kidman's worth.
Speaker: Like she is amazing. They've been together for so long. Both sad, but yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This has been a big year for celebrity breakups.
