Speaker: But that's not what the rules say. But okay. There are rules. You can either take your crit or you can go fuck off. Oh, shit. one
Speaker: Hello everybody welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop. I am Callum, I am your DM, and we own a magical homebrew world called Aerith and we are a Live Play 5.5e D&D podcast. I have really gone round the world with that kind of introduction here. Joining me tonight, playing the everwatchable I from above, we have Ian playing Kalen.
Speaker: I am God. We have the ever-persuasive, ever-charismatic and ever-mastery illusion Will playing Lady Lobelia. There is no God.
Speaker: And we have yet another Will playing the charming, stealthy, silent assassin killer Alessio. I've killed god
Speaker: Lots of gardener today. i Catch us up on what happened on last week's session. Let's go with you, Will Alessio.
Speaker: Ah, good. Thank you very much. I will mention which Will. though We have two Will, so I need to be more specific. Why not me? I wonder. you and so at the start of last episode, we just finished like killing off the guards in less than 18 seconds. We'd murdered these two guards in a back alley, and we had looted the shit out of their bodies, which was a lot of fun. We then stole their clothes, and and then Lady G went all like method and and became the character. that And we were then going to wander to the
Speaker: Tavern, ah where we where we need to go to to try and sneak in as us. ah The same way, Caelan came the other way. Unfortunately, we managed to recognize each other and realize who we were and call them form of plan. It would have been quite ironic if we had then passed in slight shifts in the night.
Speaker: Approaching the tavern, Caelan decided to go up and perch on a rooftop and provide overwatch whilst Lady G and Alessio attempted to sneak in into this tavern. Through luck and a little bit of ah deception and guile, they managed to convince some of the guards to go away, Alessio and Lady G managed to sneak into this tavern. There, they found the way down, which Alessio had discovered off-camera in a couple of episodes before. and they made their way down to the basement of this tavern. There they see a line of cages along the far wall with Remigas Montmillian Fizzlebang in a cage and another, is it a Dragonborn? Was it a Dragonborn Callum?
Speaker: yes Another dragonborn in the cage next to him, along with three other empty cages. This was a place that, unless you had been told, there was a mysterious goings-on, and the sewer outlet seemed to have lots of remains coming out of it. People said monsters.
Speaker: His contacts weren't sure. Down beneath this tavern, they have found a stone room with pillars and lots of... torches on the edge and four tables. Near the table and the ladder that they came down are two guards and near a glowing cauldron, I think it is, or pedestal with a bowl in, wasn't quite sure. There is another guard in perhaps robes, perhaps looking and a little bit more important or perhaps sorcery-like.
Speaker: Lady G and Alessio have now been confronted by ah two of the guards whilst the one in the robes has hit his back to them Lady G and Alessio now need to convince these guards to allow them stay, at least fuck off elsewhere. Meanwhile, using his ah telepathic link, Alessio has told Caelan to begin the distraction to hopefully make things a little bit easier.
Speaker: That is absolutely wonderful wonderful there, Will. Thank you very very, very much for your recap. And we are going to waste no time whatsoever. Can everybody roll initiative? And Ian, Will, and Will, please all roll with advantage. You are making first strike on this.
Speaker: Oh, shit. You know it, baby. They have not sought you out. This is a sniper attack. Everyone roll with advantage on the party.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: I love some advantage.
Speaker: My rolls ain't rolling, baby. i see my rolls. Let's just see if... 14.
Speaker: Okay, so my combat encounter has not worked quite correctly. Caelan, you've got a 14 on your initiative, yes? Yes. Why, what's it say for you? It said 7. ah That's because that was the second roll.
Speaker: Yeah. He didn't right-click click advantage, and then select roll over advantage. Ian, what are you doing? Terrible. I clearly didn't know I could do that. You can right-click, select advantage. Do you want me to do again? no, you're fine. I can adjust it. I can adjust it. Alessio, what did you roll? 26.
Speaker: And Lady LaBellia, what did he get? she's Well, she's an aged woman. don't Yeah, it's an eight. She comes last. so She does. She's very generous.
Speaker: We are going to break it. Is
Speaker: It just takes her a long time to warm up. It takes her a very long time to warm up. Or the stretches. Open up another tub of Vaseline.
Speaker: You haven't tried to open a cheese toastie. I not It hurts My mind My mind died It's ruined Kill her Kill her Please kill her Rocks fall Will you die
Speaker: oh oh but So who's going first? Right, Callum, can ask a question before we start? You can shut the fuck up right now. permitting you to talk again. That's a mic joke, by the way, right there. Yeah, it says it all.
Speaker: Are we initiating combat? Are we are we doing initiative because the guards are like reaching for their weapons? Or is there you doing initiative because you want us into initiative order to make things easier? I want everything into initiative order at the moment.
Speaker: Fine. Okay. Just to keep things straight. That's my question. That's fine. That makes things easier. Yeah. Everything's still going to play out ah at the moment. just I can't get cheese toasted out my mind.
Speaker: Anyone else hungry? Next time you have a cheese toastie, you're just going to think of me. Just saying.
Speaker: top of the round. Don't pull a cheese toastie out of your pocket. I would like to use... um I'm going to cast, because I'm slightly back from Lady G. sawma about lad I'm going to catch... Catch? Cast? Catch?
Speaker: Minor illusion, and I would like to make it sound like that eyes there are sounds of thumping and shouting upstairs, like there's combat going on upstairs.
Speaker: That does come with somatic components for you, though, doesn't it? i think material I think for him it would, yes. Material and somatic, yes. So you do some weird hand gestures. I mean, I'm back behind a pillar, so hopefully, you know, cool.
Speaker: I do some weird hand gestures. She doesn't need those components. Yeah, well, you know, she's a professional. Some us aren't as good as her, but yeah, fuck it. I'm flipping a bird. Lady Lobilly has got stage direction going off right now.
Speaker: Fuck yeah. um So yeah, so I'm going to cast that. So it's the sounds coming down through the hatch, like the sounds of combat or shouting and thumping up above to hopefully draw the guards who are looking at and talking to Lady G, hopefully draw them towards the idea that shit's going on. upset Okay.
Speaker: And then um
Speaker: as a bonus action. ah I cannot do that. I cannot hide that shit because they can see me.
Speaker: Yeah, that's it for me.
Speaker: Okay, that was riveting. Wonderful. um Whoa. Will is now flipping me off. Okay.
Speaker: Wonderful, Will. Thank you very very much. We're going move on to um one of the guards that is against this table. You are going to see um his reaction to all the noise that's going off upstairs.
Speaker: He's going to draw his sword and point it directly at Lady Lebelia.
Speaker: She's in disguise, so he's not going to act on it. says, what's going off upstairs?
Speaker: That's all he's going to do.
Speaker: The guard that is stood next to him is also going to withdraw his sword, and he is going to start making his way over to the ladder that is going down.
Speaker: where he spies you, Alessio. Yep. Now, obviously, you're in disguise as well. Yep. You've still got your disguise self ah thing ah going off. And again, sword withdrawn.
Speaker: He's now going to point this against you.
Speaker: Why were you hiding?
Speaker: So they are both very, very much on edge. Okay. Meanwhile, While that stalemate is going off, we are going to counterpan above to the first floor, where Caelan is there.
Speaker: bow, arrow notched. I think if I very recall last time he was going to let loose. That was it. But I'm outside and you described so beautifully how I could see one through the window, the nearest one. And we set that all up. And I think that's where we ended the episode of me just literally ah was prepared to let loose the arrow, right?
Speaker: and So yeah, that's exactly what I'm going to do. So I've ah positioned myself... I want to say, did we say 100 feet from the window as something in that realm? um It's ballpark, yeah. If you take it into account, like... Angle. All angles, trigonometry and other mathematical terms that I'm probably getting wrong, yeah, you've probably got like 100 foot worth of travel distance.
Speaker: So Cailin's got down on one knee, took an arrow to the knee, um and he has ah locked his arrow... in his bow. ah He's adjusted for the angle. He's taken in the wind. He's got time. there's no There was no rush at the time that this was happening. um So he's really taken that time to take in the atmosphere and the environment. And he's steadied his aim.
Speaker: And he's pulled the string of whisper, his bow, just a little bit tighter with a twist just to make sure that when it hits the glass, it will drive through and hit the target.
Speaker: So let's fucking go. Let's roll for some fucking That's a definite hit. 19, which we all know is one off a crit.
Speaker: So happy days for me. Oh, that damage is shit, though. That's really shit. so and ah say ah I wanted Hunter's Mark. I want to hunt Mark on him as well.
Speaker: Okay, so if you want to do Hunter's Mark, that's your bonus action that you do before your attack. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. I'll allow this. Thank you, thank you. It was all written down for last week, but you just cut the episode. So Hunter's Mark on the one who's um closest.
Speaker: ah Four points of piercing and... andtodo
Speaker: That is six points of force damage as the arrow shatters the window and hits its target. I'm going to hit again, but is there anything like... Am I just good to go straight in? you are You are good to go straight in. The arrow pierces through the window glass and hits directly into the shoulder.
Speaker: And this person who's basically sat with a drink to their side, chilling on a chair, arrow straight to the shoulder out of nowhere. Amazing. With a slight smile, as he knows, just as he let loose the arrow, he knew that this was going to hit the mark.
Speaker: Quicker action this time. Arrow from the quiver, lock and loose. Not so um careful with his aim because he hasn't got time now that they're aware, but it does hit for 24, assume.
Speaker: Absolutely. He's rolling. That's five points of piercing damage and a sexy one point of force damage.
Speaker: And what he's going to do just before the end of his turn, he's on one knee. He's got that angle to the window, but he's also got angle to that front door. If I'm, if I'm right,
Speaker: with where I am. You are covering, you can see the front door. yeah You wouldn't be able to get it exactly as people come out. So there's a little bit of what you would consider cover yeah there for them.
Speaker: But if anybody steps more than 10 feet out of this front door, you will see them. That's perfect. So knowing that he's in a good position, he's just taking his arrows now from the quiver and he's going to stick them in the ground in front of him.
Speaker: And he's on one knee, he's taken up position and he's ready to, he's ready to go. oh, it feels good to be this character. End of my go. Wonderful, wonderful. All right, we're going to go through the ah two people that are up on your level there, Caelan, at this stage. The one that you have just hit with an arrow, ah they are going to use their action to flip the table that they are next to, and they are hiding behind it. So they are going to take side action.
Speaker: Be humbled. Immediately humbled. Really glad I took the time to get all the arrows out of my quiver. Oh shit, got to pick all up now.
Speaker: You're not allowed to do that. That's cheating. How dare you hide. How dare you take fucking cover. Well, to be fair, yeah they're not taking the hide action because they can't take the hide action. Their action has been to flip the table ah for it. But they have got increased level of cover.
Speaker: ah So their AC has increased, just so you are aware, their Kalen, for it. The other person who is at the back of the ground floor has seen, obviously, one of their comrades get shot.
Speaker: And they are just going to move over to the left... And unfortunately, they do move out of your line of sight for the moment. You are also... Sorry, go on. I anticipated that, like, something comes through the window, you don't stay near the window. The table flip.
Speaker: wow He's running to get his paint set to draw a bullseye on his forehead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just to help. You are also aware that there is a barkeep?
Speaker: ah on the same floor as these two. You do not have line of sight on him. yeah So on D&D, I'm just going to currently hide him. who And you're not going to know what he's going to be doing unless you move yourself into a different position.
Speaker: So he's going to do some shit as well. Doing a shit as well? Wow. ah That's impressive. Hopefully not with the same rag he's going to clean the tankards with. you yeah Why not? why not um With that, we are going to go back down below into um the... To old cheese toastie.
Speaker: To the old cheese toastie. Nice bit of pesto topping on there as well. Oh, no. Stop adding to the metaphor. Stop, stop. She's already dead.
Speaker: And the one in the robes in the center that's been in front of this, like, apothecary-style table cauldron setup, um they are going to turn around and face, obviously, Lady Lobillia and Alessio.
Speaker: um she oh sorry They are going to do an investigation check into you, Lady Lobillia. Oh dear. They are very, very aware of ah magic and whatnot, as you'd imagine.
Speaker: So they are going to do an investigation check into you and see if they can see through your illusion. Amazing. The DC is 15. That's my spell save.
Speaker: two to two
Speaker: that Okay, doing this is a lot more difficult than what I thought.
Speaker: What you trying to do, Callum? They rolled 10. So they can't see anything untoward about your disguise, but they do have a certain level of suspicion suspicion and air that it's going about. So um the what I have labelled cultist in the middle of the room is not going to be doing anything else.
Speaker: She can suck it. With that, we are going to skip straight to the bottom with Lady Lobillia. You didn't have to word it like that, though, did you, Callum? What, skipping straight to the bottom? Skip straight to the bottom of the initiative where Lady Lobillia Bolvaris Garden has gone done nothing so far. No, no, definitely. But that changes now. With a sword to her.
Speaker: Yes, yeah. ah She's got a sword pointed at her by that one person, and she is going to turn on that person and look affronted in her kind of guard disguise. She looks like the blokey from upstairs, the doorman, if you like.
Speaker: And she is kind of going look at him and then look with a little bit of shock and look up, look back at him and just say, I think it might be an attack.
Speaker: They might be trying to get in through the sewers as well. You should probably head down there. Try and head them off. I'll back you up. And I'm going to cast suggestion with no components. Of course. On the guard captain. Oh my God. Wisdom save 15, please. would You are doing this on guard captain a The one that's pointing their sword at me.
Speaker: Yes, which is guard captain A. doo do-oo- do Please work.
Speaker: They rolled 10. Eat shit. Eat my toasty. Oh, God. ah fucking episode title of this is just going to be called cheese toast just to trigger anybody i hate it so much uh so she's going to say that and see that kind of and and feel that the spell takes hold uh as well and and with that she herself is is going to kind of move herself around uh oh wait i'm moving her without being able to see how far i can move her She's only got 30 feet of movement, so I will move her 30 feet closer towards one of the... Can I see the sewer grates from where I am? Out of interest?
Speaker: umm Yeah. yeah See, you smell... Okay. You've got pretty high passive, so yeah. it's It's a cheeky question, I suppose, but when i when that spell takes effect, does the guard captain look...
Speaker: at one of the sewer grates in particular? does like like Do I see him kind of be like, oh shit, this is the one that you must be you must mean. Our ah ah sewer one is that one. um And when I say that one, I i meant to ping and it didn't ping. um One of the kind of the northwestern most or the southwestern most.
Speaker: as Did you make any gestures? Because there was two sewer grates in this ground floor. When you've done the suggestion... yeah I didn't gesture to them because I wouldn't know immediately which one to go for. But if if there's been any reaction from them, obviously it's on their turn. So I like i guess if if this is me being too cheeky, then by all means... I could you use a reaction now.
Speaker: they They just use their actions. Well, they don't even use their action. They just follow the command. and They just follow the command. but Yes. They wouldn't, um they wouldn't use their reaction, I think, to follow this suggestion. But tell yeah I think it's a fair question.
Speaker: But would they, would they look at either like South or West? Do you think, or was that too much to ask? Okay. No, no, no. Without knowing that she is just going to kind of, uh, she will move herself and she'll move herself kind of towards that guard.
Speaker: ah and get herself near to one of the tables as well. um All this time, she's got her imp familiar still.
Speaker: um Invisibly. I mean, i didn't I don't think I explicitly said where he was. So it's up to you whether or not, in my head, if they're going infiltration, she she wouldn't be dumb about it and just be like, ah, you do fuck all.
Speaker: She would have kind of had it with her. But obviously, because I haven't explicitly said, I don't just want to say, ah, yes, and she plucks it from her asshole and throws it out. um if you If you think, actually, no, it would be in the pocket dimension or whatever the fuck it is, that's fine. But um'm just if I've got Lord Bentley with me, I would use him.
Speaker: Well, yeah, you purposely obviously pulled him from one plane and then pushed him back to yourself. Correct, yeah. Made him invisible. you I think it would be pretty fair to say that unless otherwise stated, he's always on your person somewhere. Possibly cropped on a shoulder or on your head or something like that. Thank you. what I would do is is ah command him ah telepathically to basically climb down me, not fly, because leathery wings sound like leathery wings, but kind of scuttle down me onto the floor and get himself kind of to the table to myself.
Speaker: um If he can, obviously if he's got to make a stealth check to do it, that's absolutely fine. and But that's that's what she would do and end her turn after that happens. He's still invisible though, isn't he, Lord Bentley?
Speaker: He's invisible. um he He can... I'm just trying to see if he's even got bloody actions and shit like that. I mean, I guess he does. he's a I just need to get him to move. as not I'm not getting him to do an attack action with a bonus action or anything like that.
Speaker: He's got a... Has he got bonus to stealth? He's got bonus to stealth, so if you want, I can roll it, but... It's only 20 feet movement speed, though. That's the shitty thing. of just I think while he's invisible, until he actually does something that will maybe cause people to draw his attention to them, I don't think a stealth attack is necessary for an invisible creature.
Speaker: Perfect. So what I'm going to do is just put on the map that we've got a little image to show roughly where he is, but I've got him under the table directly to myself. And that's me. Thank you. lovely late Lovely, lovely, lovely.
Speaker: Spot on. I'll get a token sort of that in the meantime. Alessio, top of the round. You've got a man with a sword pointing at you. What would you like to do? So with Lady G having done her suggestion about talking about an attack and obviously the sound upstairs and and him having responded, Alessio's going to sort of lean against the pillar and be like, not hiding.
Speaker: Fucking ran here. And he points across towards where um where Remy is and be like, I think whoever's with him, they've come here to get him and they are causing havoc upstairs.
Speaker: Okay. I'm presuming you're trying to make a persuasion check of some kind for that. I mean, yeah. Persuasion, deception, you name it. I mean, i'm not, I'm not honestly saying something. I'm going to go for deception because I am trying to lie. Okay. Okay.
Speaker: uh, that is 14. fourteen Um, i however, I'm going to spend one of my, uh,
Speaker: So if I fail, I can add a 1d6 to it. And if it still fails, I get the the die back, basically. So don't know whether a 14 works or not, or um or butba I can add a d6 to it if it if it doesn't. it tell Basically, it says, um if you fail an ability check using a skill or torch where you're proficient, you can roll a 1d6 and add the result to the check, potentially turning a fan into success.
Speaker: So if you rolled 14, that would fail. Okay. I will add my d6 to it then. Let's see if he can pass.
Speaker: Okay, that's a 15. Still fail. No, I like it. Okay. Get the dice back. Get the dice back. Bitch, he needs to roll He needs to roll up.
Speaker: But he ends up. Okay. Okay, that's my action. um Yeah. Okay. lowly Lovely, lovely.
Speaker: Is that an action? If I'm talking, is that an action, Callum? It's up to you. and if you're If you made a deception check, then yes, I will be counting that as an action. Okay. Okay. Cool.
Speaker: Okay. that's Fair enough. We're moving on to our two guard captains at this stage. One of them, now because of the suggestion from Lady Labilia, is basically just going to move and he's going to make his way up to the shutter of the the the grate in the top left of this map.
Speaker: He's basically trying to accomplish your suggestion in the fastest means possible. So he has picked the nearest possible way to actually kind of do that.
Speaker: God, Captain B, is kind of misinterpreting this to a certain extent, and he's going to push on you, Alessio, and he's going to... with You can tell with your insight that he's a little bit unsure about it.
Speaker: But he's going to try He's trying to hit you with the back of his sword. He's trying to hit with the blunt of it. Yep. So it's not going to be a full-blown swing-to-hit type of thing. He's attacking to subduke, basically. He's non-lethal damage.
Speaker: Indeed, indeed. um But that is only 10 to hit. Yeah, that misses. Hmm.
Speaker: Your disguised self. Yes.
Speaker: Have you... i go Actively dodged? I don't know how I do that. Well, no, because... So so the the whole thing about disguised self is... um Changes wrought by the spell points. All I've done is i've i've I've changed my clothes. I've got the same physical arrangement and then that kind of stuff. um if ah if If you use the spell to add a hat to your outfit, the objects pass through the hat, I'm still wearing clothes. So your your blade will still hit the clothes I'm wearing, even though I'm wearing illusionary clothes.
Speaker: I also think as well... Wouldn't it like, because it would be on top of, yeah otherwise every time you move. Yeah. yeah I'm also thinking as well, though, if it wasn't Alessio and it was somebody else, they wouldn't just stand there let him take it. They would dodge it naturally anyway. So I'm trying to think if there'd been any interaction and because it's a miss, I don't think it really would have been.
Speaker: well It depends on Alessio's reaction to the attack. I mean, the point is, a miss could be either he's failed to go through my armor or I've managed to step aside from it, which is probably what Alessio would do. because The whole point of the miss is either... Yeah, so essentially, it's up to you. Either he hit me and it didn't go through armor or dodged out the way.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. What armor are you wearing? I am currently wearing studded leather armor. Okay, that's not one for defense. That's one to a bit of protection, but mostly movement. So I'm going to say you've dodged out of the way.
Speaker: For that, I think it's a fair assessment. yeah um And I'm going to maintain that the illusion holds at the moment. cool I think that's a fair way to do that. And that is both the guards on that turn. And we are going to move up.
Speaker: To the top, and we have Kalen, who's still trying to snipe through the windows. Yes, I am. And what's my vantage point of the table flipper?
Speaker: You still have... You can still see the enemy. These tables small. They've got a few... They've tried to hide behind it as best as they can, but you can see you know maybe the top of the head, to maybe just a slight hand sticking out from the side of this table. So three-quarters cover of the guard?
Speaker: It is three-quarters cover, yes, that they've got. That's fine. Thank you for the... yeah Accurate push trail. That's a plus five to the AC. Yeah. cover He's a sniper.
Speaker: So this is really where Caelan's attack is going to shine. Yeah. So because he's got that more time again, he's spent this last turn. ah Out of the arrows he put in front of him, he selects one where the feather at the back, can't remember the name of that. I used to know that from back in the day. flat Fletchings. The fletching around the back is perfect. Straight, angled, and pristine because he knows he needs to strike true.
Speaker: After selecting it, he lets loose ah for a 15.
Speaker: ah fifteen
Speaker: That's a miss, I'm afraid. Your arrow does fly very, very true, but just pierces the top of the table.
Speaker: a He kind of chastised himself and shakes his head and tries again, but this time quicker, not selecting, just going for on base instinct, like Luke Skywalker for a 25.
Speaker: That is a hit. Luke, you've turned off your targeting computer. ah Use the Fletchings. There's going to be an extra damage roll coming your way for he's going to use Dreadful Strike, which is once per turn when you attack a creature and hit with a weapon, you can deal an extra 2d6 psychic damage. So I'm going to go with Piercing first.
Speaker: Yep. Which is 10 points of Piercing. Okay. And then we're going with a dreadful strike, which is 2d6 of psychic.
Speaker: Here we go. Which is eight points of psychic. And then he's going to go with the hunter's mark, 1d6 of force, which is five points of force damage.
Speaker: That's a chunky fucking arrow strike right there. Absolutely. And you did have a murder you hold your breath as this second arrow glides. It doesn't fly. It glides over the wind.
Speaker: And for a brief moment, it looks like it's going to hit the table again. but it all Almost like you predicted it, a slight gust of wind just nudges it up. probably half an inch to penetrate the head of this individual behind the table. They are out.
Speaker: a Damn straight. That's a nice chunky damage there, brother. Yeah, that everything rolled really well on that last one after fucking up the first one. Uh... So yeah, that's two hours down. He replaces him from the quiver. um I'm starting to run. But anyway, I've got enough for this battle. And that's the end of my go. He's going to set. wait Are we still telepathically linked?
Speaker: Yes. Cool. So he's just going to send a message to Lady G and Alessio just going on down upstairs.
Speaker: Lovely. I will commit that for a bit of talking. Um, the two people that are remaining in the top floor are now going to be both hidden from your current site and they are going to start making movements that you are unable to currently see.
Speaker: Okay. We are going to go straight over again to the ground floor.
Speaker: andber data That's fine, that's fine. And we have the one in the robes, our cultist, I'm just calling for reference, is getting rather suspicious.
Speaker: um But they are going to look to you, Lady Lobelia, and I need a wisdom saving throw from you, please. Oh, you slut!
Speaker: Yes. What a bit. Time for the cheese and ham toasty. Oh, no. Why won't you let it die? Because I'm not funny by myself. fourteen
Speaker: 14. 14. That is a fail. No, it's not, is it? I'm afraid so. i Only just... You feel your body go rigid.
Speaker: Completely. As the court is basically... you You see them do this incantation, twirl their fingers, and they have cast hold person on you.
Speaker: And the court is basically going to make a lot more movement, all their movement, up towards you. And they are getting very, very close to you now. Really up close and personal.
Speaker: But that, is at the moment, is all they can actually do. Okay.
Speaker: It is now your move, ah Lady Liberty Air. Am I able to speak with hold a person? That is a very good question.
Speaker: What does the eye condition say? What condition it give you? Callum, he's paralyzed because it's like auto crits and shit, isn't it? Just double checking there. Yep, they have the paralyzed condition. It's another good episode title.
Speaker: Auto crits and shits. Auto crits and shits on the cheese. So if you're paralyzed, you're incapacity. doesn't mention anything about talking. You have the paralyzed condition, you experience fun effect, you're incapacitated, your speed is zero, saving throw is attack. Speechless.
Speaker: Yeah. Incapacitated. Cool. I'm assuming would that mean because I've got a mental connection as well. um telepathic speech. Inactive says you can't take any actions, bonus actions or reactions. Any concentration you're maintaining is broken. You're speechless.
Speaker: Yeah, like, does it? cause it's He's not having to speak, is he? So, quick question. Your disguise style through your war patrons,
Speaker: Is that concentration is that just one hour done does cast a call? No, yeah. with that I think if you were to, yeah, mental communication, I think would still be permitted because you're not having to move for that. That's all...
Speaker: in the head. Awesome. And sorry, I kind of ah lost a bit. With my current state, does that mean my concentration drops? Am I incapacitated and unable to concentrate on that?
Speaker: Yeah. So if you have any concentration based things, they are stopped upon the successful of whole person. Cool. So that guard captain is on his way out is no longer on his way out or doesn't need to be. and Oh, the one that had suggestion. Yeah, he's ah yes.
Speaker: Yeah, because that's what my concentration was lingering on. Ah, okay. Fair enough, fair enough. And did you say that it says, sorry, I just need the clarity, no bonus actions either? ah Yeah, if you are you are basically inactive, you can't take any action, bonus action, or reaction.
Speaker: Cool. Cool, cool, cool. I don't think there's anything I can do, and I don't think there's anything my familiar can do. and Your familiar is still on that southern table.
Speaker: It's got its own initiative, but I can get it to do something on my turn with a bonus action through one of my invocations, but I can't because I don't have a bonus action, so it can only take the dodge action. It it literally can't do anything. I can't do anything ah other than make my saving throw, I think.
Speaker: So I'd like to think that Lord Bentley is currently on that southern table, just scratching himself like a cat while he's invisible. kind of sat on his ass and... Scratching away. Lord Bentley, you cunt. I am being attacked. telepathic connection again damn you Lord Bentley yes yeah yeah exactly and if if I am able to make that telepathic in after Caelan's just coming and be like yeah one down you're gonna hear Lady G in response like oh I'm stuck it's stopping me help hit it hit it
Speaker: ah I like how the telepathic connection seems to have also affected the way you talk in your brain. The whole person. Really, really in character for that. It's called method. Although she technically, she should have done it in that other guy's accent. Oh, well. So my saving throw at the end of my turn is worse.
Speaker: So never mind about that. That's fair enough. You are at the moment until the end of your next turn still under the effects of whole person. Top the round. Alessio.
Speaker: Alessio has been temporarily bound and gagged just while that was going off with... um I'd muted myself. It'd be nice. ah as As that guy swung at me, obviously, Alessio dodged at Ray. He'd be like, hey, hey, hey, calm yourselves. You're making wild hand gestures. You just go, calm yourself, calm yourself. I'm a friend. I'm going to cast Charm Person on him.
Speaker: Okay. And you're doing that on the one that's attacked you? On the one that has attacked me. Okay, lovely. it What save do I make for a Charmed Person? That is a Wisdom Saving Throw.
Speaker: I don't even need to know what your saving throw is. That is going to be shite. um It is a six. For your benefit, it says it does so with advantage if you or your allies's allies are attacking it. Now, I've not attacked it yet.
Speaker: but It's up to you.
Speaker: What? So, yeah, you've not attacked me, so I roll with advantage. Well, it's up to you. No, it says if it does so with advantage, if you or your allies... So if if I'm fighting you, you get an advantage on your saving throw, is what it this is saying. oh well no No, there's been no actual combat fight yet. This has all been ah one thing. So, yeah, I would say you're not actually in physical combat at the moment. we are For the next hour, he is friendly to me.
Speaker: the next hour, he is friendly to you. I am friend. am friend. Got. Right. Okay. Go on, Captain. Now, really importantly, he thinks I'm a friend, but I have checked this. That doesn't extend to anybody else in the party. He thinks I'm a friend. So if other people start fighting him, obviously, he will consider me a friend, but he will then he will attack other other people.
Speaker: so it doesn't extend to anybody else. they attack you, though. you know I'm presuming he's got to have a reason. Yeah, you know my point is also, absurd for example, if Lady Lobillia attacks him, he would gladly attack lady li Lady G if you think she's a threat, but not me, because I'm a friend.
Speaker: I'm friend.
Speaker: Okay. That's fair enough. That's fair enough. Lovely, lovely on that then. Anything else that you'd like to do? Yes. ah With me going, easy, friend, easy. I'm friend, I'm friend.
Speaker: ah I am going to back away slightly. but easier Because as he was doing it's waving his hands, gesticulating, almost like there was some kind of like semantic components involved. um a ah Yeah, it's backed away sort of just out of the way of the other guard captains also come stalking this way, who may be about to be not under suggestion anymore. um So, yeah, let's see what happens. Now I've convinced one that I am friend
Speaker: Lovely, lovely, lovely. I don't have any bonus actions that can help me here. i can either disengage or... yeah I can't dodge or anything like that. so yeah Not a problem, though, Will. Not a problem. Question for the other, Will, just quickly, on suggestion.
Speaker: it is like Charmed Person where I know nope that something's been done, or is it just blank slate? It doesn't say anything about being aware of its charmed condition. It's because you're giving them a suggestion that they would reasonably follow, therefore part of their brain goes, oh, this was a logical force of action. I should have done this.
Speaker: They said we were under attack. I'm going to go over here. Yeah. It did seem logical if he wanted to run away. It's why Drago didn't know he was um charmed.
Speaker: Oh, I am rolling dog shit for everything here. um My two guard captains. So the the first one that was under suggestion of Lady Lobillia, he'd seen everything kind of go off. He's followed a logical train and thought. He's come over to Alessio and he's kind of withdrawn his sword as well.
Speaker: But because he does go before um the one that attacked you, Alessio, he's going to attempt to join in the attack as well. Okay. The shouting and that, for my illusion, is still going on upstairs, by the way, as well. Just FYI. Yeah. No, no. That's fine. yeah
Speaker: So that is going to be... A 16 to hit. Ah, you bitch. Help me, friend.
Speaker: ah Right. um So going to take a bit of damage.
Speaker: actually quite good. 10 points of slashing damage as this sword is going to cut through you. You bitch. Now, hoping you know your spells on this, or if I have to make a ruling.
Speaker: So,
Speaker: I would say that it's attacked you now, and I think that illusion of disguise self might actually, while you've still got it, it's been kind of rumbled.
Speaker: Well, I mean, the objects passed through it, and anyone don' notice anyone who touched it wouldn't feel nothing. ah The only thing it then says is, to discern it or disguise, the creature must make a study action to inspect the the appearance and suggestion an intelligent creature check against your spell save DC.
Speaker: it's ah It's one of the other things. It's like, this person stabbed me. I've i've i've i've become wounded. Is he observant enough to notice, hang on a minute, why is not bleeding? Okay, because I did make a perception check for him and not really.
Speaker: um It was very, very poor. However... Guard B is going to swing his sword as well for a 23 to hit.
Speaker: But he's seen the other guard attack his friend. So now I've got one guard captain of mine attacking my other guard captain. So thank you very much for that. i am friend.
Speaker: I think it was probably how it yeah should be played out. and it's a deep cut. It's a very, very deep cut from our your friend to the one that's just had to suggestion put on them. it' so very very It's a strong kind of a slash with this sword.
Speaker: which I'm going to make a note of the damage for that. And that is all those two can do. Meaning we are going to move up to our top floor again and over to Kalen.
Speaker: He's finished one person out of three in the top of this lodge. um Lost sight of the other two at the moment. But Kalen, you have still an alleyway around to maneuver and keep your distance.
Speaker: Or you can start to push forward into the lodge and see you what may be going off. You did hear Lady G say, I can't move, I think, or something like that. Yeah, but... phone message that's That's... I can't do much right now about that. Okay,
Speaker: okay so Before, and someone stopped me if I didn't do this, but I'm pretty sure I did, that I cast Longstrider on myself in the past episode before moving. I did, didn't I? Okay, awesome. did Thank you very much. I just wanted to make sure that would explain why my spell slots are less than optimal. Okay, so...
Speaker: Basically, for listeners, Longstrider gives me 10 extra feet, so i've got 45 feet movement, um and I was 100 feet out. I've got some movement in the alleyway, you said. Now, Callum... um taking my move action and bearing in mind, I got 45 feet. I'm going to need you a theater and mind style here.
Speaker: I knew there was two people in there. I knew there was a barkeep and I knew there was, um, three guys. You said three. i knew there was three. I know one's down. Uh, is there any way that I can move?
Speaker: First off, actually, actually,
Speaker: I've got eyes on the front door, which means I've got eyes on the direction of the people that Alessio and Lady G disguise themselves as, as they walked away to go and go to the bar.
Speaker: Before I move, Caelan's going to do his due diligence and just check down towards where that pub was, the Whispering or something. I can't remember. Whispering pillow.
Speaker: Nice! And just check, just a glance, just as if you're coming up to a junction with a car, just a glance to check to see they're not coming back. Okay, so where you are at the moment, because you've nestled yourself in like a cross intersection of alleyways between houses and buildings and businesses and all that kind of stuff. So if you want to try and get a view of the people who have walked off from the instruction, you would have to probably use your movement to walk forward.
Speaker: Probably I would say a good, at least 40 feet of it wow to walk forward to the end and then obviously peer down to the West side, which is where the direction of the whispering pillow.
Speaker: Okay. So that's 40 feet of my movement to do that. So Caelan looks and and calculates that. Sorry for the long window chat here, guys. ah how So he looks the other way and he wants to calculate how much movement it would take to see if I can get line on sight on anyone on top level of that bar using either the other window um or the door.
Speaker: ah What gives him the most advantageous you ah look while still being a sniper? You know that there was nothing else to the right, but that was where Lady Lobelia and Alessio went.
Speaker: That was the direction they went in. Going to the left gives you a completely clean line of sight for the door entry. But and what about the two... I'm looking at getting line of sight on the two guards inside.
Speaker: you There is no feasible way. You have seen them move over to the left. well no so I shouldn't say there's no feasible way. You would probably have to move about 100-odd feet to the right...
Speaker: to try and get the angle through the window to see everything that's on the left side of this hunting lodge. And you are not guaranteed to see them. Okay.
Speaker: And then final question from where I am now. Yes. I broke the glass, right? Yes. Did I shatter it or did I leave a hole in it?
Speaker: I think you've left the hole. Your arrows are clean. They are whisper quiet. Not whisper quiet.
Speaker: It's not just an arrow hole. You you have smashed the glass. But if you're thinking of potentially going through it, then there is more glass that is still left in the window. Okay. And what's the weather doing at the moment?
Speaker: It's pretty clear. Sunny. Pretty sunny. Sunny, but not overly hot. Right. Okay. Windows use reflection. Is there any way from my current position i can see even a shadow of a person reflected in that window? And if I can, i want to try. Here we go. oh i'm going I'm going further and I'll say it now.
Speaker: I want to be audacious with this. If I see someone crouching somewhere, I want to trick shot an arrow, bounce it off something to see if I can hook it round. There you go, DM. Let me know.
Speaker: From the mind to the DM, let's make some magic. Are you trying to curve arrows around corners? Shut up. Well, let Callum talk. I love the idea of if something far it sounds cool, let's try and find a way to do it. um So from your current perspective and what you've seen, okay I'm going to try and lay this out for you.
Speaker: Nobody's gone to the right. Everybody's gone to the left. listen You've seen a little ah kind of boarded area to the front left of this lodge where people have gone that way.
Speaker: From your current standpoint, there is no angle... No chip shot, no trick shot, no arrow bending that would work fair enough in order for you to do that.
Speaker: Fair enough. I've got to say, your best kind of easiest line of sight to see potentially where they've gone is on the left-hand side.
Speaker: um Okay. So at the moment you are still like 40 feet back the sally. This is the longest I've had yet. Yes. I'm going to slowly pick up my eyes from where I placed them.
Speaker: And I'm going to take 45 feet of ah movement and walk towards the front door of this tavern. Okay. I want to do so at an angle that if you could imagine the tavern as a square, as I see right now, and there's a door that's open and I'm coming perpendicular to it. I want to do so that I have a a right angle and I want that angle. i want to stay at the angle.
Speaker: Furthest from the door, but able to see the whispering pillow. But i want to be at a clean sight, literally down the corridor of the open front door. And I also want to see the whispering pillow. Now that you said that's about a hundred feet. So I'm going to take my 45 feet of movement, but that's the area. Cause I can't see on this map. That's what I'm ah searching for. And that's the end of my go.
Speaker: So the whispering pillow is too far away. That's fair. see from here But I need to know the direction of which they went. because Which all the way to the west. Yeah.
Speaker: But I'm going towards the front door. You're going towards the front door? Are you alright if I put you here? Hold on, where putting me? Have you got the map open? Yes. so Actually, you wouldn't be able to get that close in just one turn unless you wanted to use your um action to dash as well. i have to use an action to pick up the arrows that I so wonderfully were explained that I was doing. That's fine. That's well. Yeah. yeah So you follow that plate. So listeners, Callum's got a map up that's gridded and he's got the front door and I don't want to be right close to the front door. I want to walk down the side of it. and have a nice clear ah space between me and the front door, basically.
Speaker: ah That's perfect, Callum, with where you are, which looks like I'm 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 feet from the front door, and that's 30 feet from the front door. There you go.
Speaker: hey Lovely. Lots of arrow picking, lots of walking. For nothing. Yeah. But unfortunately, nothing... End of my go. Move on. and Nothing too exciting. Next song. next song
Speaker: We're going to finish up the rest of the turns that are on here at this stage. And you're going to see one of the people that was at the very, very back of the lodge appear just outside of The doorway.
Speaker: So there's like a little 10 foot gap where you've got walls either side of where this actual front doorway is. So you can't ever get an actual proper line of sight, but they're going to peek their head out and you see in their hand, a very tiny mini crossbow.
Speaker: Hmm. They look around. and they know exactly in the direction to with where these arrows came from, they're going to see you. They're going to see the bow. They're going to see the arrows. They're going to make an assumption, and they're going to try and shoot you with their own little mini handheld crossbow.
Speaker: And yes, it is going to be two attacks.
Speaker: Good. The first attack is going to be an 18 to hit. That hits. The second attack is going to be a six to hit. That misses.
Speaker: So you're going to get one tiny arrow. Oh, for God's sake. It's going to do three points of piercing damage. Okay. Any force damage? No, no. Just all piercing damage. Any psychic damage?
Speaker: No psychic damage. It is all piercing damage. Caelan just kind of looks at it, at the wound. Okay. Just shrugs it off. You make me bleed. Just for Caelan's sake, you obviously are still aware that the barkeep is nowhere to be seen at this moment in time.
Speaker: It's kuo theres cool. That's cool. We're going move back onto the ground floor. And we are going to move into our Cultic Arcana thing.
Speaker: And they are going to make... a second investigation check against your illusion, Lady Ilobilia. You are currently under Hold Person. Bring it on, bitch.
Speaker: Now, I don't think you being Hold Person has any gives me any advantageous against this illusion. um Unless she's going to touch me up, then... Well, in all fairness, that's kind of of it shit You are held and they are going to be touching moment their hand passes through, it's clearly an illusion because she is wearing a dress under there. ah So, yes, it's it's an instant fail.
Speaker: But I do think as well that that should still be their action anyway, just to do that kind of investigative move. At which point... Boobs! Boobs! what's going on here reaches for your chest and then stops like oh there's something in the way i know it's boobs so yes they are going to touch you i don't think your illusion dissipates but they can see through it now can't they Oh, yes. and they know They know it's an illusion. So they are going to just back off from you um using their movement. I don't think they give you any opportunity attacks.
Speaker: They don't actually have any bonus actions. So that is all that they can do. And then we move back onto you, Lady Libillia. I fucked up the wisdom save. That's me.
Speaker: Oh, God. ah hu You are just held there right now. You are just held there. You don't want to do any walking? You want to check any windows out, any doors, any angles? None of that? I thought I'd see if I could get the quickest going. That's fair. We need to counteract a little bit. I understand. That's why we're making such a good team. It's all you, bro. Top of the round. Alessio.
Speaker: You've charmed one of the guard captains and they've attacked the other guard captain. ah Does the other guard captain look quite wounded? umm Relatively. He's not bloody, if that's what you mean.
Speaker: But it was a good bit of damage. the Like a deep cut that's been tight stuck across the chest. i've got ah he's he's five feet He's four feet five feet away from me. So I can i can stab him from here, right?
Speaker: if it's five feet away from you then yeah stab him from there can i just quickly go back sorry i've just realized i've got a lucky feat which means i technically could do it with advantage i want to break free i want to do something i know that my turn has gone but would you allow me to spend a fucking luck point to try to re-roll oh wait shit no hold on It's only fucking advantage. Oh wait, advantage. When you roll a d20 for a test. Yeah. So that was a test roll, wasn't it? Yes. Yes. so I'm going to re-roll it again. Come on. Let's go. ah Each shit is a 21. I'm not going to let you retcon on this because Will's turn. you son of a whore. Can I hold a 21 for the end of my next turn? yeah You're fine. You're fine. if Will says it's okay, I will permit it. It's up to Will because he started his turn.
Speaker: I am absolutely fucking happy for Lady G to go all to town on herself. Then we are on for it. We are retconning this bitch. It's the end of my turn. Nothing else changes. Lady Lubillia is now free. i don't So, what would you like to turn of nothing Right. stab this guy ah okay who's a who's attacked me.
Speaker: I'm going to give myself advantage by using my bonus action of steady
Speaker: aim. Okay. So I have advantage on this attack. Go for it. Thank you. That means sneak attack damage is coming. So that's a 19. One off a crit to hit.
Speaker: That's a hit. Yes. Good. Okay. He takes five points of psychic damage.
Speaker: And then six points of further psychic damage for a total of 11 in total. Lovely, lovely. And as I've used my bonus action, that is all I can do.
Speaker: But he is now under Vex. So i have advantage of my next attack roll with him ah before the end of my next turn. Okay, don't you get a second attack anyway?
Speaker: Yeah, it's still a bonus action, but I've used my bonus action to give myself Steady Aim. Ah, right, okay. Steady Aim allows me to basically take make my movement zero as long as I haven't moved already, and then I get advanced on the attack roll.
Speaker: Lovely, lovely, lovely. He is going to be aware that you've attacked. He's very confused as to why he's been attacked by his friend, but he's going to try and keep the damage plowing onto yourself.
Speaker: And that is a 17 to hit. Fuck off, Callum. Yeah, that's a hit. Oh, I'm terribly sorry. um And that is for 13 points of slashing damage.
Speaker: Okay. Against you. I'm still up. ah However...
Speaker: guard captain that is your friend is now going to be attacking the one that just hit you again because he is still charmed he's still under the state charm does it make a wisdom saving throw for that at all is it just like he i' mean i'm stuck as that until further notice he's stuck at that for the next hour mate oh for fuck's sake and at that point he will then know he's been charmed after the hour but for for the next hour he's my friend bitch Okay, unfortunately he rolled a nine to hit, so he's going to go swing at his friend, unless i attack but it's just going to hit against his metal armor, and he's going to ping ah straight off with that attack.
Speaker: ah That, of course, takes us back up to the top floor, and Kalen! He's got eyes on somebody now. Yeah, I am. So, Hunter's Mark first off with the bonus actions, moving to that son of a bitch. And I'm going to shoot him real hard. And it's going to be...
Speaker: ah No, he's not a show-off. He's not a show-off. He hasn't got time for this, but it is going to be more reactionary rather than methodical. He's been shot, and in that same instant, he then reacts and shoots in an instant. So let's go for a natural one.
Speaker: Wow. Do you mean to do anything for that? I need you to roll another D20, please. Let's go. shit. Oh, shit.
Speaker: Caelan could get real shit, guys. 12. You're fine. Sweet. Twang. And with a second... Yeah, that could have been real bad. With a second quick roll of the dice, he's going for a second attack for another natural one. Oh, my God!
Speaker: I'm going to need you to roll another d20, please. No, I don't want to. Oh, it's so cavalier. that the The odds of this happening again are probably astronomical. They're already astronomical, but... She she thinks she's shit.
Speaker: that's a crit. Oh, what's going on? But what that does mean is you've... You've missed so hard, you're both... Fuck's sake. fuck's sake and am like go You know what? i i Actually, i got hang on, hang on. This is my own kind of thing.
Speaker: I always, in my own campaigns that I do outside of the fellowship, if you roll a natural one, but then you get a natural crit, I let you do the attack again. You kind of cancelled each other out.
Speaker: I love this rule. It's something I've done. It's something I've done. ah So I want to keep that going with myself. Cool. That's a 19. That's going to be 27. Let's fucking go. Caleb's back. That's a hit. That's a hit. I love that. Drops the arrow, catches it, and refires it. it's in the first However kind of cool it is, you know...
Speaker: Why not? Why not? I love you, Callum. I love you. Wouldn't let me reflect an arrow, but I'll take that one. that' Yeah, hell yeah. 11 points of piercing damage for that one, my friend. And now just going to roll some ah force damage for the hunter's mark, which is going to be two points of force damage.
Speaker: And that's that's the end of my go. You know in Brave, when that guy's like drawing the bow and the arrow just keeps falling off the bow. And he gets scared and it hits the ball's eye anyway. ah Yeah.
Speaker: You successfully failed the task. Thanks, mate. Appreciate you. Lovely. yeah I like that rule. i like that rule. It's so rare to get it, kind so I thought, why the fuck Good for you, man. Put your own spice on this shit. I like your dice as well. I just noticed the crit on it. It it looks quite funky. It's nice, right? It's cool dice. Cool dice. um This person that you've just hit, they're going to counterattack with you a couple of quick successive crossbow ah shots.
Speaker: We're in a fire. One is a five to hit. That's going to miss. The other one is a 21 to hit. That's going to so hit. And that is for five points of piercing damage against you.
Speaker: ah Okay. Don't like it. They are going to take a step back and try and give themselves a bit of extra cover for where they are. Okay, that sounds cool to me. And my dice are unicorn dice to everyone who was listening and was like, what kind of fucking dice has got unicorn dice?
Speaker: Very, very interesting. Lovely. We're all done on the ground floor. Moving back down. We are going to move on to the court. So you're going to yell over towards the captains against Alessio.
Speaker: um Stop falling for their tricks.
Speaker: That's just going to be a little bit a movement. And then...
Speaker: do-oo do oh yep. Sorry, it's on that screen. I'm on the wrong screen. um ah They are going to do their own incantation...
Speaker: against themselves and going to start see a flourish of power just kind of coming and building up in their throat as they are going to against you Lady Labilia breathe fire on you I'd like to see them try I don't know where this is going to go can you make a dexterity saving throw for me please I most certainly can and the way this has been going all should be well Oh, shit. Not too bad. 17. Ah, that's a pass.
Speaker: So you take half damage. Ah, balls. Which is seven points of higher damage against you. Why, thank you.
Speaker: But that is all that they are ah going to be able to do. They are still in nice bit of combat with you. That means it is your turn, Lady Lobillia. You have movement. You have command. What would like to do?
Speaker: Did the other guard captains turn around to the cultist when she did this at all? They've not had their turn yet. so you What I mean is, were they looking over at her, well or were they still fully engaged with Alessio?
Speaker: With your passive perception, it looks like they're actually fully engaged in a three-way triangle at the moment. worth You've got Alessio against A, A is against Alessio, and then B is against a as well. So there's a weird triangle going off between them at the moment.
Speaker: Okay, cool. She is going to mentally come ah mentally ah communicate quickly with Alessio and Caelan and just say, it's not going too well down here. Retreat might be in order.
Speaker: Bear with. And then she's going to quickly switch comms from obviously Radio Channel 6 to Radio Channel 5 for Lord Bentley and say... Fucking sting the bitch. ah So as my bonus action, I would like Lord Bentley, please, to move in. and Because he's currently invisible. Does he get an advantage on his attack?
Speaker: I would say so. If that's part of the invisibility condition, which I think it is. Oh, that's a point, actually. Direct rulings. I can't remember now. ah Your attack rolls have advantage, yes. Beautiful, in which case I would like him to make a melee attack roll against it, but with my ah investment of the chain, I think he does it with my spell. kind of and so it's basically it's a Let me just quickly see. Oh, shit, I don't even have any attack spells. Am I rolling? it it'll It'll say a attack thing, won't it?
Speaker: spell by roll is It's a plus seven. So if if you can, yeah, you go for it. You roll it. Can you give me a d20 and then we'll we'll add a seven to it? So, but i roll with advantage. With advantage. of um Yeah, if you'd be so kind. I got a two.
Speaker: Oh. And I got a natural 20. Yeah, buddy. Quit. So there you go. So we've got a crit from Lord Bentley. Yes. he was go to I like to think he's going to literally jump up, land on the back of this cultist, literally tail in the air, pointy bit, and then just kind of swing it down and try and nail them straight between the shoulder blades. Ding a bitch. What are your crit rules, Callum? Are they double everything, like overall and then double or is it double the dice? What what do you usually do?
Speaker: I like to, on Familias at the very least, they get one damage die to roll, and then the second damage die is max damage. Oh, yes. I like this rule. I do this too. ah So... Forever it's familiars.
Speaker: Take. For other people, it depends on what is being done. But yeah. Okay. Well, this is interesting because ah ah the familiars sting attack does 1d6 piercing and then 2d6 poison.
Speaker: So by your rules... Oh, I've made a horrible mistake. I've made a horrible mistake. What is it? 4 plus 6, so 6 being the max roll for piercing, so that is 10 points of piercing. I'm just going to roll that poison damage, ah which is 8, and then does that mean it's plus 12? 20? So 30 points damage overall?
Speaker: so thirty points of damage overall Jesus Christ almighty. I think Lord Bentley's just done the most damage we've had in this entire combat. Lord Bentley is the hero of the hour after doing fuck all and scratching his testicles under a table whilst I've been stuck.
Speaker: I've been falling for 30 And then what Lady Lobillia is going to do is she's actually going to kind of move herself so that she's the opposite side of the pillar from this cultist. I know it's not going to do too much, yeah but she is going to use her action to once more channel her feature of, um, disguise self.
Speaker: And she's going to turn herself into the cultist. She is going to completely mirror herself as the cultist. Uh,
Speaker: I don't know if you'll let me do anything else on this turn because I've already quickly mentioned something to Alessio of... Do I get any more speeches? Quick something on the third, which is talk.
Speaker: Action to change your disguise and bonus action for Lord Bentley. I think we'll be pushing anything else here. Beautiful. So Lady LeBillion now looks just like the cultist ah and is kind of looking over at the captains as well with her back to this cultist with Lord Bentley no longer invisible, stabbing a bitch in the neck.
Speaker: And that's me. And I just want to point out, just while this has kind of happened... the cultist and Lord Bentley, this piercing tail that seems to have gone and dug deep into the cultist. And as it's come back out, possibly nicked an artery or something like that, because it's done a heck of a lot of damage percentage wise to this particular individual, uh, which takes us to the top of the round with Alessio.
Speaker: Yeah. Alessio is in a bad way. Just saying right now, um, But ah having seen Lobillia say retreat, Alessio's like, don't have to fucking tell me twice.
Speaker: um i am going to, as an action first though, because I've got advantage, I'm going to stab this guard Captain A just to see if I'm currently engaged with him. So it'd be nice to not have to take a disengage action.
Speaker: um so I'm going to roll it with advantage. Oh, that's a crit. Suck Oof. out the crits, baby. Oof.
Speaker: So how do want me to do this, Cal? I just want check how crits work. So just go through with me your rolls for this. So you have 1d6 for your... So I've got 2d6 plus 3 for my dagger. Then I add 2d6 for my sneak attack. And then get another attack after that. Hmm. Okay, so you get your 2d6 for your dagger is 12.
Speaker: So you do 2d6 plus 3 plus 12 plus what you roll for your sneak attack and so on and so forth. So you only get it for the actual weapon. But that's not... So it's but so I double the sneak attack damage?
Speaker: no No, you do 2d6 for your attack. Or do 2d6 including your sneak attack. no so so So my dagger does 2d6 plus 3. Then that's it. So you roll 2d6 plus 3.
Speaker: yeah Add 12 on for your crit, which is 2 of your max damage die, and then the rest of it just as it normally would do anyway. But that's not what the rules say. But okay. They're my rules. You can either take your crit or you can go fuck off. Oh shit. fine ah ah And that is the opening. Oh, that's a Hang on, that one's wrong.
Speaker: Why is that rolled like that? I don't know what's happened there. Basically, if you roll everything normal and just have 12 ones the end of it. Okay, thank Right, ignore that first roll because accidentally right-clicked it. I didn't like the first roll, so I'm going to it again. no. I mean, it said it's... Why is that wrong?
Speaker: It's because you you cause you have rolled a crit, it automatically does your double damage on a lot it. That's why it's done 4d6 plus 3. So if you take your 5 and your 4 plus your 3, then you roll your sneak attack.
Speaker: Yes, that's 12. That's 12 plus that's 24 psychic damage from my attack. Yep. Plus... attack another 12 points max damage from a sneak attack. So that's 36 points of damage.
Speaker: Why'd you what up me, bro?
Speaker: Chunky numbers coming out.
Speaker: Was that all just from one attack, by the way? Yes. Okay. force damage, again, yeah you seem to have a knack for hitting sensitive areas on these people, so you've kind of gone in with your force dagger, or psychic dagger, or whatever it is, and caught something as it's gone in, but then dissipated and caused a heck of a lot of damage. He is not looking in a good state.
Speaker: Okay. I'm going to be like, help me, friend, and then going use my bonus action to drink a potion of healing. Because, you know, need to fucking drink that shit because I am nearly dead.
Speaker: That's fair enough. And that will be the entirety of your turn, I'm going to end of my turn at that point. Yes, I'm going to sort roll that now. Okay, lovely. Roll for your healing. Two and a one. I've got a roll on my healing on 2d4.
Speaker: It's five points of healing.
Speaker: Fair enough. Lovely, lovely. So the one you've just done a lot of damage for... He has no way of healing himself, I'm afraid. So he's going to just do one final swing against you, Alessio.
Speaker: Let's see if he can finish you off. It's a 19 to hit. Yeah, that's a hit.
Speaker: And you take... Seven points of piercing damage. Cool. i'm I'm down. Thank you.
Speaker: What happens to charm? Does that break? Nothing. It's not concentration. Still for the hour, his friend is knocked out by his other friend. Yep. okay blessio Until Lady Lobillia attacks him, until my allies attack him, he is charmed by me.
Speaker: Okay. That's fair enough. That's fair enough. That's all the guard captain is going to do. The one that you have charmed is going to go try and attack... The guard captain now, because he's just take down his buddy and he is not happy about it.
Speaker: And he seemed to be doing it in anger because he's missed. That's only a nine against the other guard captain. Lovely. My goodness me, that's a lot of stuff. m We'll move up to the top.
Speaker: Floor now, back to Kayla. I think we've lost our psychic link, by the way, as well, by the way. I'm assuming... I assume people know that this drops. Well, where does it say it? Let me just read...
Speaker: You're hosting this LAN party and then you're like, I'm pulling the plug, guys. You were plugged into the Matrix and then someone has just ripped Not like this.
Speaker: Got anything to say to Pretty Boy? Goddamn you, Cypher.
Speaker: i What a film. It doesn't say. all it says is i you can establish a telephatic communication between yourself and others as a magic action. Da-da-da-da.
Speaker: So in that case, then, I would probably rule that until you attempt to communicate via these means, you might not know that the link is broken. Yeah.
Speaker: Well, shit. I think that would be a safe type of bet. Okay. So, Caelan, you're focused anyway.
Speaker: I'm a fire in my bowl for 18. And that's a hit. Let's fucking merc this fool. Oh, this is max. No, it's not. Nine points of piercing damage.
Speaker: Nine points of piercing damage. Lovely, lovely, lovely. That is lovely. And three points of force damage. And additional three points of force damage. He's going for the headshot on this one. For 13.
Speaker: That is a miss. Unless you want to use your inspiration and you could potentially reroll your attack. Yeah, fuck it. Let's do it. Inspiration. want to burn it now.
Speaker: That'll work. I love burning it. 25. That's a hit. At least it worked really well. That's 11 points of piercing damage because he's got his roll back. And three points of false damage. Man can hit for days.
Speaker: Man can indeed hit. And you unleash that second arrow and... Again, yeah you kind of go straight through them, and for a moment, you're unsure if you hit or not, but then you see knees just behind this wall fall to the floor and then collapse kind of in front.
Speaker: Get the fuck in. So that one that was in front of the door is done, dusted. Okay, Cailin's going to send a message out ah to the the group, just like you did after the first one, and go, second one down.
Speaker: That should now actually work. I just looked it up.
Speaker: What, the telepathic communication? Yes. Cool, so I can see that. so you know how it well Would people be aware that you don't receive it then? No, the feature doesn't require concentration, meaning it's not broken by taking damage. The timer continues while I'm unconscious. While could go to sleep and this would still work.
Speaker: um While i' unconscious, you are incapacity and cannot send or receive of any telepathic message. ah If you're again conscious before the time expires, you can immediately resume using telepathic without spending another use. It's still there. That's quite cool. Until the time runs out. It's still there. Yeah. There's nothing about it going, oh, yeah.
Speaker: So Alessio's on hold. that's just left to Just hold music. Yeah, Alessio can't come to the phone right now. He's been knocked the fuck out.
Speaker: Yeah. and So I still don't know. No, know you still don't know. You sent that message out. As far as you're aware, it's been received. Everyone's doing okay. Okay, so i will take 45 feet movement, and I'm going to move in a way that allows me view of that door. i want to I want to be almost stood in its open doorway now. Okay. um as Do I pass the person I just killed?
Speaker: Yes, yes, you do. bear on um I can't collect my arrows yet, can I? ah No, if it's an action to pick up your will stand by the body and get ready to collect some arrows.
Speaker: Fair enough, fair enough. You can see clearly into the um hallway of this hunting lodge at the moment. And from your angles, the hallway is clear. Okay. and I feel Kayleen would want to know that.
Speaker: Yes, absolutely. Okay.
Speaker: Yeah. yeah Oh, he's going to whistle.
Speaker: Okay. Really loud. Are you doing a tune for this? or No. A single tone? Long... Hard whistle. Oh, yeah.
Speaker: He's used to whistling in the trees um to ke to communicate ah targets, and they're quite musical. He whistled with the birds. This one's just a long whistle, and he stood in the open doorway with his bow out, and um he's ready. just he stood there, his silhouette, a long, hard whistle.
Speaker: The lure action, that thing you do when you're hidden. You go, you whistle something together. The guy goes, oh, what's over here? yeah What was that noise? Must be the wind and the wind. Whose footsteps are these? Whose footsteps are these?
Speaker: Is there a box around? don't remember this box. Very Metal Gear, like it. Hell yeah. You see the exclamation point above the head. um Wonderful. Yes, thank you very much for there, Kaylin. We're going to shoot back down into the ground floor now.
Speaker: um And it is the cooltits that's currently got a Lord Bentley on their back, I'm presuming still. And what they're going to try and do, they're going to try and grab...
Speaker: this imp that is behind them and has done the most amount of damage to them so far in this combat. They are going to grab them and attempt to do a chill touch on your imp.
Speaker: At disadvantage, unless unless the imp's no longer invisible. ah he's He's visible, he's attacked. He's attacked, so he's no longer invisible. Didn't know if he stayed invisible. That's all good. I make a melee spell attack against your...
Speaker: creature which is a natural 20 okay all the natural 20s to do um so 15 points of cold damage on your imp imps are naturally resistant to too cold so it'll take half half luckly So that's rounded down seven points of chilled damage against your... Bentley's still good.
Speaker: He's still good. i don't know how much health and impact... In the new D&D 5.5, it's 21 overall, so I'll take that. How was the day when everybody used Owls and it was just one hit and done? They used to like seven, i'm pretty sure. Oh, no.
Speaker: ah Dear me, dear me. Looks still out of range for that. So, Lady Lobillia, you're up. You've taken the form of this cultist. I have. You can see, i will let you know, a very bloodied person in front of you that Lord Bentley is currently still having fun with. Oh, actually, no. Oh, yeah, sorry. Lord Bentley is after your turn or during your turn. How would you like to proceed?
Speaker: ah First things, I'd like to use my bonus action again and just say, Lord Bentley, finish it, in ah mentally rather than kind of physically saying that. And I'd want to use another one of my luck points to give him advantage. well I'm happy for you to roll this. You seem to be rolling lots of 20s. I am rolling quite a few.
Speaker: It's not a 20, but it's one-off. So I rolled 19 as a high one. Doesn't Lord Bentley have the champion feat to be like, that's a crit anyway. He might as well, because he is my fucking champion, evidently. ah So if that does indeed do damage, it is a tasty seven points of piercing, followed up by some tasty stingage, which is nine points of sting. So 16 overall.
Speaker: 16 overall. And Lord Bentley's again, tail up high, piercing damage, straight in, potentially straight in the same hole. He's trying to make this cut deeper.
Speaker: He's going to whip out, and you're see gushes of um ah blood from the back of this neck of the courtest as they just fall to the floor. So Lord Bentley's basically took this person out by them fucking selves. Absolute fucking hero.
Speaker: ah My cult is still down. And I'll just say to Lord Bentley, quick hide. And then she will use her and silent image invocation to make the cultist that has fallen on the floor look like a kind of... a She hasn't been discovered in her, like the other guards have been discovered. She's going to make it look like her the the guard the gate guard upstairs, the upstairs gate guard person, if you like, and have that on the floor, just kind of covering the body and making it look like that. Blood coming out is absolutely fine. She looks like the cultist um and she is going to turn to the others and to kind of take a stride towards them.
Speaker: and just say in her actor's feet, mimic of the cultist's voice, The threat is dealt with down here. Head upstairs and deal with them.
Speaker: To the guard captains. That's what I'd like to do. Okay. though they Lovely, lovely.
Speaker: um Meaning top of the round, Alessio. I'll make a death save, thanks. Make a death save? Please, do tell me what it is. I want i want a 20 to strike up. No.
Speaker: ah That's a 3. That's a fail. Oh, fuck. seven Right. So, I've got to put bit tension into something here, because Lady of Billy has given instruction as the cultist to guard captain... Basically, A, because B is still on the side of Alessio at this moment in time.
Speaker: And I now need to roll to see if they fall for it.
Speaker: Guard Captain A, still holding his sword, blooded, weak at the knees, goes look towards Lady Lobelia described as his cultist.
Speaker: Give a hefty sigh. Step over the body of Alessio and start to go upstairs. Oh, shit! i roll up archer I rolled a three. Yeah, buddy. They are going to believe you.
Speaker: Alessio's down, which was the only enemy there. So as far as he's concerned, he's had his instruction. He is moving on. um The one that is still your friend, Alessio, he's going to come towards you and he's going to make a medicine check to try and stabilize you. Fucking mint. Yeah. you are his friend you are his ally that is brilliant he rolled up 16 on the medicine so you are stabilized and
Speaker: ah absolutely brilliant the fuck is going off in this fight well done friend after an hour I will stab you I have zero fucking doubt on that whatsoever.
Speaker: unless you Let me put this noose over your neck. You are stabilized, absolutely. And that brings us back up to a very prepped, very prepared Caelan up on the top floor of this hunting lodge.
Speaker: um Do I see them coming upstairs? No. Do I hear them coming upstairs?
Speaker: Even with your high passive, even if I made you do a check. So as an example, where this ladder is, yeah you've got to go through the entirety of the hunting lodge on the inside, yeah plus a wall oh in order to see this kind of ladder, because the ladder is hidden in this little crevice that's tucked behind into the back. And the entrance entrance is down to the right.
Speaker: Cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo. Which you were informed of on a previous session anyway, so you would know that. All right.
Speaker: ah And it's an action to reclaim arrows, isn't it? but you You tell me. i trust i have trust in you. Will just nodded his head as if to say that. Fair enough. It has been confirmed. he' take I'm burning an action to reclaim all my arrows from um micro ah USB guy.
Speaker: And I'm going to...
Speaker: Walk forward. So I still got 45 feet of movement. Long stride is still active. Long stride is still active. And he's going to, for flavor, have an arrow notched in here, in whisper.
Speaker: And he's going to walk through the front door. um and it looks like there's a hallway, right? And then to the left is the kitchens. To the left is the um private services, basically a bunch of toilets. So that's 15 feet away. He's just going to cast his head to the left and ah do a quick scout with his eyes. Is anyone there?
Speaker: Yes. huh You do indeed see the barkeep. Great. in ah the in the lavatory. He is currently crouched on the floor, got his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around himself. oh Oh. Is he crying?
Speaker: No, he's not crying. You think he's just waiting for me to go before he can cry? Maybe, maybe. He's taken refuge. Is he taking a shit? Is he shitting himself? He could very well be. He could very well be a guy in Jurassic Park. It smells like it does. It smells like it does. He didn't get to the toilet in time. where you see Is that what he's saying?
Speaker: What a shame. That arrow that just pierced the head made him shit himself and he had to come here. Okay. um that Okay, he poses no immediate threats. Okay, he's going to move on.
Speaker: ah So that's another... as you move on, you feel a knife in your back. Yeah, right. So I've just entered the door of the main bar area. um As you said, I was informed of the layout of this from Alessio. Where is... Can you ping it on the map and i could most explain to me...
Speaker: What you are seeing, you have the bar to your left. You've seen all this before. You have a selection of tables all around. Obviously, you've still got one body of somebody you took here ah in the middle, in the center.
Speaker: You have the table that's been flipped and one body down. If you look to your southeast, where there is a lot of pinging going off from every one of my fellow people,
Speaker: it ah Yes. So helpful. so you You see blatantly open passageway that seems to phase into the wall. Amaze. Okay. as I've still got some feet of movement.
Speaker: Caelan's going to walk over to the nearest table. He's going to whistle again, but this time he's going to kick the table over just like that fucking person did to him earlier. And he's angling that. He's kicking it towards that area of the wall.
Speaker: And he's going to prop himself ready for... People. I think technically that's a utilize action to kick the table. It is an action. Yes. And if you've picked up, yeah, it's under the, yeah. So your arrows is a utilize action. You get one arrow for free. I looked it up because picking up an object is a free action. So you get one arrow and then utilization to pick up more arrows. So, yeah.
Speaker: So I will stand near the table. lovely say You are standing near the table. The table will still permit you some level of cover. You would still have half cover even just being behind the table at this stage, which anyone wants to correct me, that's perfectly fine. I think gives you an additional AC of three.
Speaker: Is that right for half cover? So your AC goes up to three from your current state and location. Okay, I've just angled myself. um We're getting ready. That's all I can do. too That's the end of my game. Plus two, by the way.
Speaker: Fantastic. Thank you, Will. app Plus two. Yes, thank you. Thank you very much, they Will. um Lady Lobillia, what would you you like to do? You have no immediate threat. i don't necessarily know that, but I know that the guard has just stabilized Alessio. But what I am going to do is I'm going to once more pump into that... ah Communication between the group.
Speaker: And just Caelan, I am sorry I've sent another your way. He's about five foot eight and he'll be coming through the door behind the trophy to your right as you enter the room in approximately seven seconds. If you could deal with him, I would appreciate it.
Speaker: And then she will kind of step forwards as her cultist self to the guard captain. As a bonus action, she'll withdraw the healing potion that she has, place it on the floor and kind of ah step back again and say in the cultist's voice, I require him alive.
Speaker: Feed him this and take him closer towards the cell. and she'll kind of turn her back on the guard captain ah with as much ah kind of
Speaker: She's trying to project control and power. Obviously the guard captain isn't watching her at this point, but this is just a part that she's playing quite simply. ah i don't think Lady the Billion knows that the guard captain is kind of charmed in this manner because she's been pretty caught up being set on fire and frozen solid for a while. um So she's going to make her way back to her own illusion and pretend to be kind of observing it in some way, secretly in her mind.
Speaker: hoping that this kind of deception holds okay so we're going to expedite just a little bit of this because we only have two left one has been sent upstairs and there's already been telepathic communication with caitlin who is going to be poised ready um it's going to take two turns for the guard to actually get there so Caelan, I will permit you an additional five to your AC because you will use an action, I'm imagining, to actually position the table upright into a more yeah have a secure hiding spot. So by all means, you can take an additional five AC. Okay. Plus, he plus he's pretty heat the the other guy's pretty yeah messed up, isn't
Speaker: What, the one you've got charmed on? No, no, the one we stabbed up that we sent back upstairs. Oh, yeah, yeah, literally. Yeah.
Speaker: Will? Can I hold an action? I can't hold an action. Never mind, ah because I kick the table. I kick the table. Well, you've got two turns, you've got this turn. Yeah. ah Then, okay, because I've gotten the 411 from Lady G, I'm holding an action. As soon as someone that's not my comrade enters that door, I'm going to shoot him in the face.
Speaker: okay okay um will you get seven points of healing from the potion that lady libelia has put on the ground and henceforth your charmed god has fed unto you oh thank you friend and then and i'm then gonna telepathically tell lady billia he's currently charmed he's a friend he thinks i'm a friend um He is then going to help you up.
Speaker: And as per instructions of Lady Abilia or the courtes, anyway, he's going to start taking you down towards the cages. Now, I don't know if you want to resist this kind of action. It's up to you.
Speaker: i'm I'm not going to resist because I'm i'm um' i'm lu aware of Lady Abilia. Okay. Okay. I mean, I've communicated Lady Villier and it still works. So I don't i don't know Lady Villier looks like the cultist, but I've communicated to Lady Villier, this guy's my friend.
Speaker: I can't see Lady Villier right now. No, you can see the cultist. But you also see the previous guard that Lady Villier was disguised as dead on the ground.
Speaker: good but i've managed minor illusion But you've also heard me. Yeah, yeah but I've also heard you. Yes. ah Okay, in that case, I am going You can use your action for investigation if you wish.
Speaker: Try and see through the illusion. i'm goingnna I'm going to go stare at... um I'm going to look at Lady of the Disguise to try and ah just see through it. um So, yeah, why not?
Speaker: I'm going to take my baseline, which is... What's my baseline? My baseline is 14. No, baby. No. Okay. And then I'm going like, as he's taking I'm like, friend, what are you what are you doing? I'm one of you guys. Why are you taking me to the cages? Oh, my God. That guy must have been a traitor. And then... And while he is listening to you to a certain degree, it's like, sorry, you'll be fine. Trust me. I won't let anything happen to you.
Speaker: Thanks, friend. that that that's it And while this little thing has been going off down here as well, we will just move a little bit up to the top level will lodge where this guard that has been sent up by Lady Lobelia starts to make his way round. And, Caelan, you're hearing beyond the immediate walls that surround you every single footstep...
Speaker: that this person makes all the way around. You've got eyes dead set on the door. You know he's coming. You've been given a time frame by Lady Lobillia.
Speaker: He cautiously, sword in hand, you see the sword first, starts to peer his head around him. This open-panelled wall. Head is all I need.
Speaker: Roll to hit. Let's fucking go. See, if you'd taken the hide action, you would have advantage on this, just saying. Well, that would have been a good idea, because that was 11 to hit.
Speaker: That is a miss, unfortunately. He's going to go again.
Speaker: Wish me luck, friends. Or 14? It meets, it beats. Ooh!
Speaker: we've jumped back to a very odd map there i'm sorry yeah i pressed on the wrong one that's 11 points of piercing damage and he's got the slow um action so his speed is reduced by 10 until the start of my next turn uh as a bonus action i'm gonna put hunter's mark on him and that's the end of my go i just have to say do you have anything else that can deal more damage Anything in your roster. Because here's the thing, my guy. i I held an action to fire, not held an action put Hunter's Mark on. So I had to go. yeah yeah Hold on. If you held an action, it's your reaction for the first shot.
Speaker: oh So technically on your turn Which I'm assuming is coming up You'll have your two Is the reaction not to use the action? No no no It's your reaction, you've held an action And that action gets spent as a reaction Later on a turn yeah depending on what the trigger is So he still gets the red around the door I will trust the wills on this Hunter's mark and I'm going to fire Let's go Natural one, let's go ah No, but that's a 20.
Speaker: And that is a hit. That is going to be nine points of piercing damage. Any point me doing the force damage? You know what? Just big it up a bit. We'll see how brutal we can make this.
Speaker: Let's make it brutal. One point of force damage. That's not overly brutal. But screw it. We'll do it anyway. The first out of the blue fire...
Speaker: pierces straight into into the shoulder. The second one just seems to kind of go straight through, was going to say his eye, and kind of drags him back, and you kind of pin him up against the wooden wall behind you, or behind him.
Speaker: So he's just kind of hanging there now, ah supported by this arrow, which just over a while droops down. ah That's the third one.
Speaker: That is Kalen's third one. And telepathically communicated that telepathic communication. We have one bad guy left.
Speaker: Lady Lobelia. Is it my turn next? You can absolutely take your turn. What she will do, seeing the guard captain leading Alessio to the kind of one of the jail cells, she'll quickly communicate with Alessio and say, be ready to lock the cell.
Speaker: And she'll say out loud,
Speaker: wait, there has been much deception from the group. I'm sure I can trust your allegiance, but I need to be 100% certain.
Speaker: Take yourself into that cell, and I will put the captive in the other until I can be sure of your loyalty. That is where you need to remain for now.
Speaker: And she'll kind of make her way over kind of to it, to the cell. Okay, to him so with that then, top of the round, we'll move back up to Alessio.
Speaker: And you're getting escorted yeah by somebody looks like the cultist, but I think due to the telepathic connections, you know it's actually made a libillier at this moment.
Speaker: And I'm going to, because they could just escort to me, the movement's a bit bit bit shonky here. I'm going to ready an action that when he goes into the cage, I'm going to lock it behind him.
Speaker: Okay. Because movement's a bit shonky here, because I move, he moves, that kind of thing. So do you know what i mean? Yeah. That's perfect. And it moves into his turn next anyway.
Speaker: And yes, we can just get basically to the front of these two last open cages that are on the left-hand side.
Speaker: So he's your friend, in all fairness, at this stage.
Speaker: Yeah. so it would That means nothing to me. He's going to attempt to put you in. Such real life. To put you into one of these cages.
Speaker: Okay. Okay. If you're not resisting, he's going to put you in. but But friend, what what about what she said?
Speaker: Yeah, he's going to lock himself in afterwards. He's putting you in the cage first. and yeah he He pulls out the keys from his thing, puts you in, locks. Oh, no i thought yeah, cool.
Speaker: He's then going to move over to the furthest left one, put himself in, lock, and he's just going to throw the keys out.
Speaker: just obviously towards the cultist at this stage. you know your persuasion check? I got a two on the damn thing. These guys believe anything at this stage. It's pissing ridiculous. This is what happens when you hire idiots. it would yeah You need to hire adventurers, not just...
Speaker: I'm right in thinking the the perceivable threats with him locked in a cage are kind of... With him locked in a cage and those keys thrown towards you, Lady Lebelia, all perceivable threats are currently eliminated at this stage. Amazing. What she'll do is she'll, even in her her her kind of cultist disguise, she'll pick up the keys and she'll immediately go and unlock Alessio's and kind of ah release him And basically be like, yes, I suppose that was mixed messaging, wasn't it?
Speaker: Was that telepathically or out loud? No, no, no. Just out loud, despite her looking like the cultist now. In your normal voice now. In my normal voice. Like not giving any attention whatsoever to the guard captain anymore.
Speaker: It was quite... Oh, that was interesting. um Callum, is the is the guard captain dressed Shadomendian? Just to check. He's wearing Shadowmendian gear. Yeah. Cool. Just checking. Just checking when I leave him to starve to death. That's fine. Just so don't be good girl. Okay. That's fine. Just leave a bowl of water. Just out of reach. Alessia's going to get out of cage be like, Caelan, we're okay down here. We're all secure.
Speaker: We've got Remy. um And he's going to then go over. Sorry. You can. Yeah. okay okay and know and To be fair, i yeah once you've done your thing, I have a thing calendar I'd like to do so cool I'm going to go over to the Dragonborn cage and look inside You see a Dragonborn in the Dragonborn cage What the fuck? oh Hang on, hang on i know my line here What the fuck you looking at? you up would How did you get here? i would read it up it won pay It's been a while, guys. It's been a while. empty It's Dribbo.
Speaker: ah ah Yes, you you see the Dragonborn. He's kind of sat in almost a ah cross-legged meditative position at this moment.
Speaker: Looking at me? What? what did He's took note of you. He's seen you walk over. not I've dropped my disguise by this point. I look like me now. um And who are you?
Speaker: He's going to ask before we nip over to Ian.
Speaker: My name is Tempus.
Speaker: And on that note, we will just shifty back up to Caelan on the very, very top floor floor. of this hunting lodge what would you like to do?
Speaker: He's still got 45 feet movement. He's going to collect all his fucking arrows and he's then going outside the front door and stationing himself between the front door and the whispering fucking pillow.
Speaker: So that as soon as he sees those guards, he's just hasn't forgotten about them. And so he wants to be the first to see them and then he's going to fire.
Speaker: So that's it. That's the end of my go. you get to expend them You have to spend a minute and recover half of the ammunition you expended during the combat. That's cool. is the rule yes for far We are, for all intents and purposes, are out of the initiative order at this stage. We have Caelan just outside on watch duty. And down below, you've been introduced to the Dragonborn, known as Tempest.
Speaker: And that is where we'll leave it for today's session of the Fellowship of the Tabletop. Excellent combat work, guys. That was certainly keeping me on my goddamn toes. Amazing DM work, my friend. Well done, yes.
Speaker: Well done. To be fair, you've turned enemies against each other and had one of the things took out by an imp, which was just phenomenal. But yeah, no, that was very, very fun. Undying champions. Yeah, man, we need to sack them. How have they accomplished anything, really? don't know. Well, I'm putting a Knicks-based character, but competent.
Speaker: A Nick's face character, but you know your abilities? Oh my god. know. What the fuck? It's really easy though when you just have to shoot things. So... Someone end this episode.
Speaker: And if you want to hear us, shoot things later. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. See you next week. Bye!
