Speaker: The Salavia Saga is a story -driven, action -packed, fun -filled D &D podcast. I'm your DM Anthony, and today we are joined by Lucas, playing Roshka. Not me! That's me! I'm back, baby! Larry, playing Tiller B. Willer. Why hello, everybody. We have a lot of changes in prepared for today. Robin, playing Fosk. Hello. I believe that would be me.
Speaker: Hailey, playing D 'Alon. D 'Alon B. Baudoir. It is a pleasure. And Amy, playing M .B. Your friendly neighborhood demon, now in your neighborhood. All right. So, M .B., you... you are fairly used to this.
Speaker: You feel the normal cold kind of wash over you as you experience the small little bout of undeath that you are accustomed to every once in a while. And as usual, you wake up laying in your bed in your home.
Speaker: Home sweet home. Here we go again. I may stretch. I'm gonna take a deep breath I don't need. There are some changes that need to happen. Do I feel
Speaker: Anything different? Do I feel any connection to anything? Any impending doom or impending visit? As of right now, everything feels fairly normal to you. You look out the window closest to you, and you do notice that
Speaker: For this to be just a giant sort of cave, the sky looks a bit different than it normally does, something you're used to. It's been quite some time since you've been back here, and you notice that the air around you is slightly different as well. There's a much heavier tinge of evil than there typically has been, and the sky itself is more of a
Speaker: Pinky, purplish kind of color. But outside of all that, you see business decently as usual. All right. I call. Do I see Max in the distance? Yeah, roaming. All right. Let's see, I call Nonya. And
Speaker: It's been a while since I've seen them, so I'm waiting for them to come up. So your door is closed. You hear a knock. Come in. The door very slowly opens, and you see that very familiar head peep through. Ah.
Speaker: Madame Inby, you've returned. I am indeed back. I'm so happy to see you again, honey. I have actually missed you. And I have missed you. You can only clean so much when no one is dirtying everything up. Wait a second, are you saying I was dirtying things up? Is that what I hear?
Speaker: No, no, no, of course not. Nope, everything was all fine. I'm teasing on you. We have to make a change in the main house. A change? I foresee I will have visitors soon. Oh? If they're lucky and survive.
Speaker: Yes, we need to move my office. I don't know yet. I haven't seen them in this realm. This is new for them. So I'm not sure yet.
Speaker: As you say that, you do feel that inevitable connection pop up and you feel four different unique strands pulling at you very lightly, but you can tell that they are coming from somewhere else towards you.
Speaker: We don't have much time, but we don't need time. I need to move my office from the back to the front, clean out that mess that we call our guest room and some bunk beds.
Speaker: I'll decorate it myself. I'm guessing they will need a space of their own after I walk through this wonderful, warm, embracing, oh -so -sweet realm that is my home. Do I have some flour? I would like to make some treats for them, and at least one of them will appreciate it. Excellent. The work shall be done. I'll assist you where you need it.
Speaker: Um, if possible, and I'm not saying this because I don't admire your physique. Um, maybe show a little less rib cage. No, uh, yes, that, that could be arranged.
Speaker: And you see as that cavity closes up to look decently humanoid. Musculature is not quite normal, but working with what he has. You're beautiful in every shape. This one is a little more palatable. I appreciate that. I do my best to tidy up for you.
Speaker: Yes, but are you happy? Happy? Always. Alright. Let's reconvene in about an hour. I'm guessing they'll be here soon. That works for me. Thank you. And dear friend, I'm again, as much as I don't love
Speaker: This house, I do love the home that we've built here. Thank you for making that happen. I do my best. Only the best for the best. I'm going to crack my knuckles, start moving furniture around and start cooking. Fantastic. Okay. Tiller. Yep.
Speaker: You experience a cold that you have never experienced before. It's not temperature cold, but more of an empty cold. You feel yourself drifting. The last thing you remember is looking up and seeing the building crumble above you.
Speaker: And now there's nothing to see, nothing to hear, nothing to feel. It's just cold, empty. And you feel yourself being pulled in a way. And in your vision, you can see.
Speaker: a singular strand it's a nice bright blue softly glowing in this emptiness and you feel it tug and what you are not sure of how long this has been going on or how long you've been here really for the first time in this drifty experience for you
Speaker: You notice some direction. Could I try and open my eyes? You could try, but there's nothing to open. It's just dark. You are bodyless, formless, mindless. Could I follow along this blue line? Yeah. Or pull at it myself? Yeah, you can move faster if you'd like.
Speaker: I'd be kind of like pulling up a bit like a climbing up a rope like in gym. Yeah. So this keeps tucking on you. You're, you're following it for a little while and suddenly you stop.
Speaker: And you feel your vision turn on, although there are still no real eyes going on. You feel as though you are meant to see things now. And you are now in a fairly dim room.
Speaker: the ground beneath you and walls and air around you kind of swirling. It's kind of a light grey mist, almost. Like you're on a cloud, even. And in front of you, you see two shadowed figures. There's no real form there for you.
Speaker: The only thing you make note of is the figure on the left is a little larger, more masculine and muscular. You see a pair of nice, dim blue -gray eyes kind of shining through the darkness. And on the right, it's a more smaller figure, more feminine.
Speaker: still quite large and muscular, but more dainty in its build, you would say. And you notice a nice pair of dimish purple eyes looking at you as well. They just stand there for a moment. Go ahead. Oh, I would wave at them.
Speaker: Your attempt at waving gets noticed, but they still just kind of sit there and stare, seemingly giving you a moment to understand your surroundings, come to terms of your existence anyways. I would look at the area around me.
Speaker: Looks like just a swirling mass of cloud, really. Getting up, I'd probably feel around, make sure I have everything, all my stuff, the usual prayer of the phone keys wallet, but in a fantasy setting. Yeah, you have nothing. No body, no materials, nothing.
Speaker: I would then try to look at my clothes and then see what I see if I really feel like I don't have anything on right now. You look down, there's nothing. You can't see yourself at all. I would start going around in a panic, fumbling, trying to get as close to the
Speaker: creatures that I've seen as possible. All right, and the larger figure speaks up. Whoa, calm down. We should tell you where you are. I guess that would be a good idea.
Speaker: You, Tiller, are in what you mortals call the afterlife, the great beyond, the in -between. Is he breaking up for anybody else? Yeah, he is. Uh -oh. Uh -oh. Uh -oh. Okay. Um, 14.
Speaker: Whoa there. Calm down. I guess we should tell you. Whoa there. Calm down. And we should probably tell you where you are.
Speaker: It's what you mortals call the afterlife, the great beyond, the in between, many phrases used. We saved you from your imminent demise in whatever we could do.
Speaker: I am Selimos, the god of death, and next to me here is Sheba, the goddess of undeath, and we've been working with Serestia,
Speaker: and your fairly recent partner in Beetha to give you the best experience that you can have in your ultimate goal to save us. However, with recent developments, our powers have shifted
Speaker: And we cannot adequately access the mortal plane of existence any longer. So we've brought you here. The last thing I remember was the temple falling.
Speaker: Unfortunately, we couldn't save you from actual death, but we can save you from permanent death. Well, if this is my new life. Not quite. Where are the others? They should be following you shortly. Do I still feel that like blue strand connected to me?
Speaker: Does it like go off into the distance somewhere? What is this strand connected to me? Yes, that's also quite important. That strand you see is your connection to Mbitha, your newfound demon party member.
Speaker: You'll have to follow that, and that gets into the next part of this conversation. Unfortunately, to save you, we had to direct your soul in a different direction. You will be becoming a demon. The thing that you were fighting, you now must become. However,
Speaker: It is a known rule between other demons. Demons are the only ones that can kill each other. In your previous state, you would not have been able to kill Ol' Spectra. You would have been able to temporarily set her back, but that's about it. Now you will be able to kill her. And she us?
Speaker: well I we couldn't do much but the best we can do for you now is offer your own piece of this puzzle you
Speaker: you'll be able to choose what you look like in this new realm. You keep everything that belong to your soul, not necessarily to your body. Your powers will be the same. However, you will have none of your previous material goods.
Speaker: If you don't mind my asking, how does this work with my magic? Wait, I'm a wizard. Well, you will be able to access everything you need from your own head. We've given you the innate ability to use your abilities.
Speaker: That's amazing. Will I still feel if there's a lot to process? So I guess the next thing on the objective is to follow the strand. Yeah. Follow the strand. What is this? And you'll get where you need to go. What can I call this strand?
Speaker: Whatever you'd like, it's not really permanent, to say the very least. And if you really focus for a moment, you should be able to see a couple others. Uh, that is my next question for the others. Will I be able to tell that they are them? Yes.
Speaker: One important note, you will retain your mortal names. However, these demons cannot know who you are, or they will tear you apart at first sighting.
Speaker: You're not going to be able to understand any of the things that you see or hear here. So you must avoid all contact until you reach Imbetha.
Speaker: The things you say will sound normal to them. You will all be speaking in common, and it will translate itself. However, we cannot translate it backwards for you. You will not understand. You will not see. You will not be able to read. In my exploration in the starting to come over with some memories,
Speaker: I have a spell that lets me understand what others say. Unfortunately, that one does not work. This one is much too archaic and magical for anyone really to understand unless you are born in it or learn it. And most people have not the capacity to learn it. All right.
Speaker: Thank you for that knowledge ahead of time. You're welcome. You need it. Um, one final question. You said that this chord was connected to MB or Empathyth. Uh, what is her connection in all of this? My group just met her and well,
Speaker: It's a whole bunch of new things that we honestly were not ready for. Unfortunately, I can't tell you that. It is up to her to disclose that information. Just know that she is quite important both to you and to your quest.
Speaker: So she is on our side? Yeah, very much on your side. Alright. That'll have to do for now. As I start following the strand and trying to create a mental image of what I'd want myself to look like in this land of demons. Okay.
Speaker: So you follow this for a little while. It doesn't take long and you find yourself almost materialized into this new place. You notice there is this very drab, dull colored ground beneath your feet.
Speaker: And in the distance you see rudimentary buildings and some other structures. It looks decently civilized, but a bit behind everything. Definitely not what you're used to if you were to visit maybe a tribe somewhere that's not nearly as advanced as your typical mortal society.
Speaker: It looks like that. You do see some fairly grotesque figures walking around, some demons with many eyes, many limbs.
Speaker: stripped and malnourished bodies, very fat bodies, you know, just in general not your normal two -legged, two -armed humanoid figure. Now you do find yourself on a path and it seems like it may even be materializing in front of you and your strand is connected to this path.
Speaker: But sometimes straight paths are not always the best. Could I attempt to go around this village? Yes. And try to avoid contact with them? The straight road looks like it is building itself in front of you away from that direction. Yeah.
Speaker: And do, do I feel any type of like physical feelings right now? Like hunger? There's nothing. You feel your feet on the ground, your body in the air, and that's just about it. Uh, when I feel in this new body, do I feel anything like physical about it, like a heartbeat or a, um, like exasperation as I broaden?
Speaker: You don't feel anything you're used to. You feel nothing. And it's almost unsettling the lack of feeling you have. Hmm. I would then just keep going on the path, trying to avoid like interacting, as I was told, going through like hills, woods, anything besides like civilizations.
Speaker: Excellent. You don't notice any kind of greenery or any kind of brownery either. There's nothing. No vegetation. You don't really notice any animals or anything either. It's fairly interesting to say the least. Like if you were to go to a desert and there be no sand, it's just rock. A lot of rock.
Speaker: As you follow this path, you see it gets further and further away from that little village area. And you get further, and now you're in the middle of this decently hilly area. And you notice, fairly quickly,
Speaker: one, that you're not tired at all. You don't feel even the beginning effects of a walk or run. No sweat, no anything. You also notice these hills are kind of inhumanly big. It seems like they're very unnatural. Maybe
Speaker: man -made or constructed, but they don't look like normally formed hills. And you see this road start to materialize in between these hills. As you enter this hilly area, you notice
Speaker: These look to be normal. There's no entrances or exits in any of these things. There's no one moving around, moving about.
Speaker: So you traverse through these hills, this windy path. Sometimes the strand is straight on and sometimes it's off the path. But you notice it's getting thicker and brighter the closer you get to the end. You get through this hilly area and you encounter another village. This one...
Speaker: smaller. It's not nearly as put together. However, you do see the buildings look a bit nicer. And you see off to the corner that it looks like they're growing something.
Speaker: It doesn't look like anything you're used to in any way, form, or fashion. It doesn't even really look natural. And you notice a river of some form. And the air around here is a little colder, you notice.
Speaker: The river itself is like a bright, bright blue color. It looks like water, but doesn't quite flow like it. You see it's much smoother. There doesn't seem to be a real surface to it either. More like a visualized air current, if you could think that way.
Speaker: Could I put my hand? You'd have to get close to them to do it. It is situated inside of the village. However, that's the way the road is taking you. I would tentatively just follow along the string at this point. If this is where the string says to go. So entering the village. No one really pays you much mind.
Speaker: You get a couple glances here and there, but nothing seems out of the ordinary. You hear a bit of chatter and a bit of talk back and forth, but you don't understand really any of it. It seems fairly lighthearted and happy, and you near the river.
Speaker: Uh, as you reach in and put your hand in there, it almost feels like water. It doesn't look like water. It doesn't really seem like water, but it, it does feel about as close to water as you could get. And it's cold, like ice cold. Um, considering this is like the first sensation I felt, I kind of play in it a little bit and then I run off.
Speaker: trying to get to the other end of the string. So it pulls you away, the road keeps materializing in front of you away from this village. And in the distance, you notice atop a hill, a fairly large structure.
Speaker: It's quite ornate, raised above everything. And you notice in front of it, in this very large field, that actually looks green.
Speaker: and put together like someone's taking care of it almost you notice a very large stone wall you can't see much about it currently and you see the string lead right up to the very large gate you can see the house is much further away but the wall is much closer and in the distance in the far corner of this uh... this slot you notice
Speaker: a very large and dark figure, quite swirly and tindrily in its design. It towers over pretty much everything else around it, the house, the wall, and you notice
Speaker: In the middle of its figure, even though it's kind of turned away from you, you see these three large orange orbs kind of glow and undulate with the mass. And it turns and looks at you almost with intent. And you feel a very strong feeling of fear and slight paranoia
Speaker: as it locks eyes with you but the string continues to pull you towards the gate I motion I pull up the string and I motion towards the string I don't try to say anything nothing happens it just continues to look at you mind you it is
Speaker: probably a couple miles away. But, uh, yeah. Oh, you can, uh, yeah, you can tell that it sees you. Uh, so you keep running, keep going towards the gate and you realize upon closer inspection that, uh, this wall is, is stone of some kind, perhaps.
Speaker: a bit brighter than most. And you see inlaid in this wall, it's built out of these very grotesque and
Speaker: Almost human adjacent skulls that are twisted and contorted in different expressions, mostly of pain and agony. Some of these skulls even have what looks like blood coming out of the sockets still, just like a trickle, a small waterfall, if you will.
Speaker: And there are also pieces of these very beautiful and ornate marble and granite statues kind of set in this wall as well, obviously destroyed and put there. It's almost sad to see the inherent beauty be mixed in with this kind of grotesque outside.
Speaker: And you notice this gate is quite large. It's as tall as this wall. And has very sharp, metallic inlays and accents. And as you get real close, you realize that this is definitely not your size.
Speaker: Um, and I can see through this. It is a, it is a solid metal gate. And how tall is the gate? Uh, probably about 50, 60 feet tall. It's quite large. All right. I would try to knock on the gate. And as you knock on the gate.
Speaker: We will leave you there. And that brings us to Fosk. Fosk. You're used to darkness and you're used to cold. But this is a cold you have also not experienced before. The last thing you remember is the roof tumbling and crumbling down on top of you.
Speaker: Right. Right now, you feel empty. Floating in nothing. You're not sure how long this has happened, but long enough. You feel a pull, a tug. Guilty. And you notice.
Speaker: uh... there's a strand now connected to you in this void of darkness this strand is a fairly dim but glowing yellow color and you notice right next to it is a very very faint but blue line
Speaker: It's going in approximately the same direction. You feel it tug on you and pull you in a direction. After following this for a little while, you find yourself in what seems to be something
Speaker: the area around you kind of grows misty and dark but you see light for the first time very dim and gray but it's there and it almost feels like you are on top of a cloud all the things around you are kind of swirling and moving as a cloud would but you don't feel anything and for the first time
Speaker: your vision kind of opens up. You notice that there are two figures in front of you. On the left, a muscular and large figure. Very dim blue grayish eyes.
Speaker: kind of staring at you and next to him is the same kind of muscular figure much much smaller more dainty with these kind of dim purple eyes kind of staring back at you and they leave you there for just a moment for you to kind of take in your surroundings
Speaker: Fosk won't really bother to look around with no real body, no brain to regulate emotion. What he feels most right now is just a long, heavy grasp of guilt. He doesn't know where it came from, but it's stuck there in a way that won't leave him. In this moment he feels
Speaker: a grimness, a kind of finality in a way. He'd look at these figures, and even with no mouth, he would attempt to speak to them, and he'd go, um, hello, is this what I think it is?
Speaker: You see, the smaller figure speak to you. Well, that depends. What do you think this is? I... I'm dead, aren't I? I... I... The temple, it came crashing down on us, it split my head open, I get... Ugh. Still reeling from the effects of death?
Speaker: Yeah, it is what you think it is, however it's not quite as dire as it typically is.
Speaker: I am Sheba, the goddess of undeath, and next to me is Selimos, the god of death, and we pulled you from your imminent demise to save you from the permanence of the afterlife.
Speaker: We still need you to finish your quest and this may be slightly self -serving but it's also to help you. We got you into this mess and hopefully we will help you get out of it as you will help us get out of it. You may have some questions and we're welcome to answer them.
Speaker: Hmm. Fosgood take a moment to himself mulling over the situation. So, uh, what are, what are these? Fosgood say gesturing to the two strings, the faint blue string and his, this faint yellow, his yellow one. Currently those are your connections to your party members.
Speaker: That yellow one you see is connected to the main focal point in Vetha, your most recent addition. The blue one is your friend Tiller. He materialized before you and
Speaker: So you now have a connection to him. And the others have not quite made it through but we're in the process of bringing them here. So far you are the second of the four. I see.
Speaker: And what lies ahead? Have you ever thought what it may be like to be a demon? Somewhat. I mean, I encountered them all the time in Sarelia. I never really asked them what it was like. Well, now you get to experience it. Oh.
Speaker: Okay. I don't know. You are a mortal turned demon and hopefully you'll be able to understand and get used to this existence because it's kind of all you have until you finish what we need you to finish. Yeah, well it's not the first time I've woken up in a strange place in my life for myself I guess.
Speaker: Wow. That's quite the situation. Quite the situation it is. We'd love to not resort to this, but unfortunately this is the only thing that we could do with the limited power we now have. You see, Serestia tried to show you basically the end of your world before you died. It was also the end of our world.
Speaker: Old spectra, although not as powerful as any of us are, somehow made it so that she was. And in her current state and our current state, she could easily come and kill us. However, we are hidden away, as are all of the other deities that are currently alive.
Speaker: And hopefully you, now being a demon, can rise through the ranks and dispose of her because only other demons can kill demons.
Speaker: if you were to kill her in your previous forms it would it would have been not permanent she would have come back and we can't have that we held on to hope that you could do it but she got too strong too fast and unfortunately we had to resort to this this okay
Speaker: So is there anything special I should know before I follow this line here? As a demon, you will look and sound like a demon to the other demons. However, you will not be able to understand them. You won't be able to read any of their writings. So you are going to have to
Speaker: Avoid contact with him until you can reach Embita.
Speaker: Not saying it's imperative that you avoid contact. It's just not the best because you won't be able to understand anything they say to you. It's essentially like you go out to a deaf person and talk to them and they say something that doesn't mean anything to you. You may be talking about puppies and kittens and then they say something about iron.
Speaker: it's not quite good and it may arise suspicion and we don't need that because if they figure out who you are and what you are you will be ripped to shreds you're not quite equipped to handle them yet however we have imbued you with some extra power so hopefully you will get much stronger much quicker
Speaker: The only real way to get stronger here is to kill other demons, and that's what you're going to have to do. As unfortunate as that may be, it has to happen. Get ready to leave. Sorry. I have a strange little visitor in my mind space. Take a look at that.
Speaker: Fosclid! Take a moment to himself, thinking about it. I don't like it, but that's better, I guess. To be able to do something. Alright. I guess I'll be on my way then. Thank you.
Speaker: Don't thank us. Hopefully we'll be doing the thanking eventually. But until then, we hope to watch you do great things. For us and for yourself.
Speaker: That we will So the area around you disappears and you find yourself very quickly in a very strange place where you would normally see at least some
Speaker: flora or fauna, there's nothing. You find yourself in a very vast, open area. You feel different, to say the very least. Oh my god, my hands are blue. And you are indeed blue. Oh geez.
Speaker: Fosco will take a moment to kind of look over himself and get adjusted to his new appearance, assuming he's alone right now and not in the middle of a public space. He is very alone. There's nothing around you. Geez, what is this? In the distance you see a bit of structure, but that's about it. Okay. You know what?
Speaker: I don't know if you've woken up, whereas before, actually. I'll get through this. Oscar'll kinda steal his nerves as he's chattering to himself, and he'll slowly make his way forward. He'll take
Speaker: the path of most straightforwardness. So you see that strand in front of you, and you see a path materializing at your feet, kind of paving the way for you. As you follow this, it is empty for quite some time, probably miles of walking.
Speaker: and there's still nothing. That distant structure is getting closer and closer and closer, but it's still so far away. And you notice to your left
Speaker: Tucked around a large, what do you call those, butts? You know, the very tall rocky structures in the middle of nowhere? Yeah, that. You notice that. And tucked around the side of that, you do notice some form of civilization or society. You see a few figures walking around, but you can't quite make them out yet in a couple buildings.
Speaker: And you see coming down from the top of this rocky figure is a waterfall of this blue, airy liquid. It looks kind of like water, but it flows not the same, and it looks very, very smooth. You know the laminar flow, where the water just kind of
Speaker: it's not smooth, it's not moving, it looks almost static and you wouldn't be able to see that it's moving except the bits of swirls and stuff that come through it that give it a different color momentarily.
Speaker: but that's falling down and then kind of running a river around this and then in the distance you also notice um hills begin to pop up on the horizon as well um the road is taking you straight around this village so it is up to you whether you would like to go in there or not well
Speaker: It is best I avoid other demons right now. But... I want to touch that. I want to touch the cool thing, the cool water stuff. Okay, so there's two places you can get to fairly quickly. There's the one that is the waterfall portion, which is away from the village, actually. Or there's the more flowing portion inside the village.
Speaker: More on the outskirts, but it's next to it. Yeah, I'm thinking I'm gonna go have some fun at the waterfall. The question will wait for a moment. I need this. Okay, so you reach the waterfall. I need a little treat. And what do you do with the waterfall? Oh yeah, I'm gonna touch it.
Speaker: You reach into the waterfall and you see it kind of Very gently move around your hands not splashing like water normally does so it almost diverts But it's ice cold It is very very cool and the first probably real sensation you felt since you got here
Speaker: The temperature in this area is very non -existent. It doesn't feel warm. It doesn't feel cold. It's room temperature. Not even room temperature because you just don't feel it. It's not there. I see. Well, I guess that means. Yeah, so like Fosk will kind of take a moment and then he'll like just kind of like plunge his whole arms and head into the waterfall.
Speaker: Just enjoying the sensation of like feeling something is, you know, in the mortal world, you feel things. This is the first thing he's been feeling. This is important. It's the only thing he can feel here.
Speaker: So he'll have some fun just getting covered in whatever this mysterious weird liquid is before he moves on. Right, okay. After you take your time in the waterfall, you begin following the path once more and you notice these hills pop up and look fairly unnaturally large and tall.
Speaker: But upon closer inspection, they look at least normally formed, not man -made. There's no entrances, no exits, and not much. The path is winding and weaving through each of these. And as you clear through this, you notice in the distance there is a very large wall.
Speaker: It looks like stone. There's a very large metal gate in the middle of this, blocking off a fairly green pasture with, you know, plants and other things decently alien to this area. And you notice there's a fairly large structure in the middle. It looks almost like a house and much more polished than anything else.
Speaker: And in front of that all of that much closer in the distance to you is Another village much smaller houses are more built together And you also notice in the very far corner of this large lot is a tenderly swirly black mass towering above most everything else around it and
Speaker: And you see these three orange orbs undulating in the middle of this creature, and it turns, and it looks at you. Uh, I'll kinda give it a wave, but I'll continue on minding my own goddamn business.
Speaker: all right so uh you follow you follow the uh he's a starry boy um you follow this uh strand this this road past the village um
Speaker: And you arrive at the gate. And as you approach the gate, you do notice another figure kind of standing at the gate. And as you've been traveling, this yellow strand has gotten much thicker, much brighter. Same thing with this blue strand. And you realize this blue strand is connected to this creature. It's tiller. So yeah, as you approach. Possible kind of pick up speed. Very excitedly approaching.
Speaker: you know, his friend. You would see Tiller just laying on his back at this point. Tiller, go ahead and describe yourself as well. You would see what looks like from afar about a six foot roundish, something that is like the mixture of a bear
Speaker: mixed with a owl. Like he has the eyes of an owl, the face structure of an owl, but like the mouth of a bear, teeth of a bear, but just four teeth, two top, two bottom teeth in what looks like a smile. The rest of his body, instead of covered, it has the whiteness of an owl, but purple ears.
Speaker: And instead of like feathers that you would expect, it instead has what looks like hair, but is actually skin as you get closer. Ooh. And Phos, go ahead and describe your - 10 toes on each feet. So, sorry, Taylor, how about how big are you in like feet? How tall are you? Six feet. Six feet, okay. I'm six feet tall and about six feet wide. I'm like a blob.
Speaker: square. So, Taylor, as you're lying on the ground doing your thing, living your best life, Fosk himself is a... the first thing you would be able to see is like a blue torso in the distance approaching you with considerable speed.
Speaker: as it gets closer you begin to realize that there's some kind of maybe like antennae sprouting off the head and as he gets closer and closer it becomes more evident that the torso is attached to the body of a centipede rather than like human legs or anything.
Speaker: and there's these large patches that shimmer in the light and as fog gets closer rapidly, mind you, it becomes more evident that the rough patches are consisted of many tiny itty -bitty gemstones peeking through the stick skin, giving the area a rough appearance rather than a
Speaker: skin appearance. But as he approaches, Fosk looks rather happy to see you. And immediately he'll be like, oh my gosh, dealer. He'll say quietly as soon as he gets closer, oh my gosh, you're so cute in like the ugliest way possible.
Speaker: I chose a form as unthreatening as possible. Oh, you're so fluffy. But it's like, ugh. I don't like that texture. I try and get up, and I jiggle a bit, and I put myself against the gate. The wall is an opening, and I'm assuming it's Fosk. Oh, what?
Speaker: How could you have possibly guessed? The accent is still there. But no, no, I don't talk with an accent. You talk weird. Fascaltee is gently bumping into Tiller playfully. So it seems that the first challenge in this new life of ours is a kind of gesture at the metal gate.
Speaker: a big door. This sounds familiar, actually. I think if it's a good thing that you showed up here, because that means the others are eventually going to show up. So maybe we should just wait for the others before we do anything. Yeah. Yeah. It's it's it's it's even better that I showed up here because like I'm like an expert at doors and stuff. So should we try and
Speaker: I, since our bodies don't get tired, when we notice the next line come up, should we try to meet them halfway? Or also, did you touch the water? Oh, of course I did. It was so weird. So maybe we should just try to meet them at the water so they get the chance to touch the water. That's genius. And we could just keep touching the water. Yes. Okay, right.
Speaker: We could snatch them and shove them in the water. But the water I saw was in a village, so I don't know if we want to wait in a village. I thought I'd walk there full. If I may interject and break through a little bit. Out of nowhere comes a little very familiar creature flying towards you. Teeth extended first as he bites into one of your legs, Fosk.
Speaker: screech and as you look down it is with very few differences it is your little familiar goblin oh my gosh it's rashka a possible very happily scoop up rashka oh my gosh hi buddy i will kill you oh wait hey it's you
Speaker: Oh, how'd you tell? I thought you were a grab -a -boom. I don't think I'd kill you. Aw, you're so fierce. Sorry. I missed you. What's wrong with you? You don't look like you. You know, I'm just a little sick. It'll air off, I'm sure. What's that thing? Yeah, that's it.
Speaker: I don't know, why don't you try biting him and find out? Hascal, sit down, Roshka. I will. Do not try biting me. I'm gonna try to bite him. It is me, Tiller. Ah! Hi, Tiller! Hi, Tiller!
Speaker: Did you guys ever get that weird thing? Let me just. How did you? We could have flown. No. I didn't even think that was an option. As you look at Roscoe,
Speaker: He looks very much like himself earlier, but he has two very limply hanging wings on his back. And they don't look like they have any muscles holding them up. They're just kind of flopping about. And he looks a bit sheepish, as he says.
Speaker: Aww, that's okay buddy, you don't have to fly.
Speaker: If I still say a given rashka a pet on the head. I don't like the wigs anymore. I thought they look cool. They don't look cool. Oh, but they do look cool. They look great on you, buddy. Anyway, so when I was... I woke up in this darkness. And then we can't go back. I can tell you the whole thing. So he started out with me. I was in the dark.
Speaker: And that is weird with things around myself. I tried biting it and it didn't do anything. I didn't have a mouth. It's hard to bite without a mouth. Yeah, so eventually I got to the like two people. They were really weird people. They had different eyes. I think one was a boy.
Speaker: I think I was a girl. They really seemed like in love or something. I don't know. I thought it was their house. I asked if they would like it together. They just didn't say anything. Roshka Week is wasting no time to get on that shipping train. I don't know.
Speaker: I see. I think I also saw them. And then you just came straight here? No. I tried to run away from them because they were talking about, like, I was dead and stuff. But I'm obviously not dead. Yeah, because you were right there. And then they showed me. And then I was, like, in the house where the roof fell. Mm -hmm, yeah.
Speaker: But obviously, that's not true. I could never happen. I'm still here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That sounds fake. Anyway, I'm hungry. I can tell, I guess. So when I was back at their house, these two things, they were talking about how long I have.
Speaker: I don't remember. I see. Fosk will kind of look a tiller. He'll be like, if we want to dunk the alarm in the water, we're gonna have to hurry because Fosk, because Roshka got here fast. Oh yeah, I'm super fast. Look at this. Oh, you're so speedy, buddy.
Speaker: Fantastic. All right. So that brings us to D 'Elon.
Speaker: Dilan, you find yourself in the block Velstrix Heights currently. You did a strategic retreat away from the skeleton warlock thing, and found yourself in a series of back alleys
Speaker: behind this you see quite a few broken and destroyed buildings around you and all of a sudden you feel a big blast of energy and you see what was stone crumble in front of you and what was wood disintegrate and suddenly you have a much larger view of the area as these buildings fall and tumble
Speaker: And that leads you to an opening, a more clearing now. And in the distance you can hear very distinct screams and
Speaker: You follow those screams for a moment and you see backed into a wall crouching and cowering is a knoll that has been beaten and bloodied and in front of him a very large and very strong demon.
Speaker: Okay, D alone, you ran last time. This time, we should run again. No, no, we cannot do that. Okay, hit and run. He's gonna charge forward. And he's gonna like, he's just gonna throw the sword at the demon just to get its attention. All right, roll for the sword throw.
Speaker: 11 11 does it you you now have the demons tension You are stupid and he's gonna throw the shield at him Roll for shield throw
Speaker: Captain America, more like Captain Sindari. Uh, Shilthro works. Fantastic. Smacks the demon in the head, makes him stagger a bit. Enough time to do what you want to do.
Speaker: good uh while he's staggered he's gonna duck underneath it uh he's gonna grab the knoll and just start huffing it uh the the knoll's just kind of grown in
Speaker: You are moving at a slower pace than normal, having a person attached to you, and you see the demon regain focus and starts charging, head down directly at you. As it gets closer, you feel a very strange sensation.
Speaker: And suddenly you find yourself in darkness. And you don't feel alone. Oh, where am I? Oh, fucking right, Con. What? What? Who are you?
Speaker: I'm Donnie. Donnie Barco? You, uh... We... I was just getting attacked by a demon. Oh... Shit, are we dead? Yeah, I think so. Ah, shit. Well, nothing new to me. Uh, gonna try to... Yep, just darkness.
Speaker: Well, I suppose this is it. We've ever been dead before. A couple of times. Really? Huh? You were dead? What are you talking about? Never mind. We need to find a way out of here.
Speaker: And as you say that, you notice a very bright pink strand form. And next to it, you notice a very faint yellow strand, a very faint blue strand, and a very faint green strand.
Speaker: Oh, what are these strings? What strings? These ones right here in front of us. What are you talking to me? We're going to follow one. Come on. I can't grab you. I don't have hands. I don't have hands either. Follow my voice?
Speaker: I'm going to follow the blue strand. They all kind of lead in the same direction, so it doesn't quite matter. So you follow the strand. You travel for a little while, you feel a tug and a pull, and suddenly you're surrounded by a gray swirling mist. And in front of you are two figures.
Speaker: There is a larger muscular figure with blue -gray eyes and a smaller, still muscular and more dainty figure with purple eyes, and they're both staring at you. You know I haven't said this in quite a while, but what's the fuck? What are you talking to me? Do you not see what's going on? Nah, I'm just kind of chilling, mate.
Speaker: Oh, you are insufferable. What are you talking to me? Never mind. Forget it. Uh, who are you? The large one speaks. You are. You're you're dealing. Correct. No, I'm Donnie. I'm dealing. No, I'm Donnie.
Speaker: this hasn't quite happened before we don't normally take people that aren't dead but it was kind of necessary in your position
Speaker: We don't have proper access to the mortal plane currently, so it looks like we may have picked up a straggler along with you. Perhaps? Anyways, that's besides the point. I am Selimos, and next to me is Sheba. We're the god of death and goddess of undeath, and
Speaker: Okay, so goddess of undeath and goddess of god of death. That is it. Am I too? Okay, I have so many questions. Me too. Hold them for just for a moment, don't they? Am I too? How do you say assume that you are the ones that brought me back to life the first time?
Speaker: I am not. That would be Shaba over here. Yes, that was me. I could only work with what I had, and at the moment you were just bones.
Speaker: Yeah, I'm sorry. If I could have done something, I would have. I kind of specialize in raising, not quite creating.
Speaker: As it currently stands, neither one of you have a body, and it looks like you're in the same soul now.
Speaker: You are saying our souls are intertwined. Yeah, put together, bound to the same fate. Can you unbalance? That's not really either of our specialties.
Speaker: I cannot either. There's no way for us to really do that. However, the reason we originally brought you here was to transport you to a place that you may not be too fond of. This is some fairly bad news for you.
Speaker: Well, in the past week I was reborn as a skeleton, to which you have funnily enough put me in a party with a Luton, knowing that I died by them. Real jokesters, you gods. That was less me and more Serestia, but once again, besides the point, I'm... Serestia, Selmos, you oughta start with an S, you're all gods. Yeah, all three of us start with an S, that's a good point.
Speaker: But, you know, and then we went to a cult and almost died. But, you know, I'm starting to think that maybe you guys just get a kick of putting me in situations that I clearly do not want to be in. So I am kind of used to it. You make a... You make a very fine point there.
Speaker: It's less us and more Suresia. We did what we could to save you this time so you wouldn't suffer permanent death. But it seems like that may not be the move. Or. Or I I'm not I'm not sure. You the gods just hear like a lighter click.
Speaker: So we brought you here to bring you into the demon world, their plane of existence. Yeah, not only that, you're going to be a demon.
Speaker: Oh absolutely not. Nope. I would rather just be a floating nothing. Would you like to be a floating nothing with Donny here for the rest of your existence? You can't see me turning my head to look at him in surprise, but I am doing that. I for one would like my body back. Fucking right.
Speaker: I'm not going to the demon world. I suppose I will just deal. We are going. What do you mean? Listen, mate. I've got tons of things to do. I would like to get back to my body at some point. Donny, deal on. Listen, it's got to happen. Fine. And you are guaranteeing that
Speaker: I could go, we go to this demon world, do whatever you want us to do and we go and get separated there. Yes. As after you defeat Ol' Spectra and she breaks her hold on us and you and both of our planes, we should be able to have the power to separate you and send you back to your normal mortal bodies.
Speaker: I really don't want to do this, but it looks like we have no choice. What are you talking to me? This guy is a fucking idiot. You really expect me to go fight the demons with him? He was a fairly skilled fighter, it looks like, in his past. So you may could actually learn a thing or two from him not to knock your knightly ability.
Speaker: Fucking right mate, I was black belt and no quando. Fine, fine, fine. I will do as you ask. I will go into this demon world and be a demon, even though it completely breaks my paladin oath. But hey, what can it hurt?
Speaker: Well, I still had my paladin powers, so clearly not.
Speaker: Right. You should follow that strand and be on your way, probably.
Speaker: okay but i need i need you to settle this because i already feel it's going to be a dispute but when we go to the demon world uh... whose body are we going to inhabit mind order uh... whatever your minds decide works together the best uh... this is not going to go well at all and it'll be all right fucking sick gun
Speaker: All right, well, let's go, Donny. And then I'll go and follow the... So you feel the strand pull on you very quickly. You're zooming through the nothingness.
Speaker: And we will cut back to Fosk, Roshka, and Tiller. You guys see a new strand pop up. A pink one. As you guys are collected at this small little pond and the waterfall, you see this strand get very bright very quickly.
Speaker: And through the air, you see a figure plummeting. And it splashes into this pond. This water, once again, doesn't splash like water does. It kind of gently moves out of the way. So the most you see is a slight ripple along the surface. And, uh, Dilan, describe yourself.
Speaker: Yeah, so he gets up out of the water. You see this very large, about eight foot tall, very like lanky and kind of malnourished looking like Wendigo creature. You could see like the rib cages like sticking out and his flesh is kind of like gray and almost like in a
Speaker: decomposing -esque state. He's got this large dog -like skull with glowing eyes, and this matted, weird fur on the back, these large claws, these glowing red claws. And he looks at you all, and he's like, oh, hey, guys, what's up? My name is Donnie.
Speaker: We were expecting someone else. Definitely was not expecting that. We're shedding the same body. What the fuck? And I want to note, too, that when Donny talks, the mouth of this creature moves, and when D 'Elon talks, the eyes glow. So you just see glowing eyes, and he's like, no, no, it is me. But it is also him. But it is also me.
Speaker: Huh? What?
Speaker: Do not overthink it. So, honest question, whose body is it? It's mine. No, it's mine. No, mate, it's mine. No, it's my body. I go behind Fosk and I high five them. You know, suddenly I'm starting to feel really good about mine, actually. I'm having a bit of a...
Speaker: What is it called? That's the one! Oh no, now there's two of them in the body. This is gonna be... Hello dear lord! Donny kind of pulls out a joint and lights it with a mask. What did you get that from? Get what?
Speaker: Donny is so multiversally powerful that he can smoke joints even across dimensions. This is wonderful. He can. Yeah, he just has a... He always has a bag of weed. That's so real. Who is a weed? He lights this joint and he's like, he's like, what? So, seeing you pull this out,
Speaker: I now that I've seen you do this I do I pull out these my second level ability minor conjuration spot and I pull out the same thing fucking right sick cunt let's get fucking toasted I don't know what it is and I just give it back to you
Speaker: Yes, Arashka. What's up, God? It's a word that I will not be explaining already. Goodbye. We should get... I'm sure Andy is wondering where we are. All right. Let's go. Let's follow the strength. Yes. I want to note that Donny is vaguely Australian. So...
Speaker: The word, the word to him, completely different meaning. Yeah. It's more of a sentence enhancer. Oh, no, it's a flavor enhancer, but for words. So as you guys return to the gate. You find it already open.
Speaker: And a fairly normal size figure, stands about six feet tall, stands there. You see these very segmented and almost spinal looking wings coming from the back of this creature. Looks fairly humanoid.
Speaker: Its chest is fairly disfigured. It looks like maybe it was pieced together strangely. But everything else is fairly normal, other than its mouth, which is completely covered by a flap of skin. And its eyes are just empty sockets.
Speaker: very gray, almost kind of like mummy type skin, clings to the bones and whatnot. And as you approach, it greets you. Hello. Can we understand it? Oh.
Speaker: uh hello hello it uh it looks like uh you guys are here uh i was sent to retrieve you oh yes we were looking for uh mv yes uh
Speaker: we were getting the house ready for you if you would just follow me and don't mind Max in the corner over there he's our grounds person
Speaker: Yes, that is the swirly, tentically mass. That is much larger now that you're closer. He doesn't, he doesn't quite talk much, but yeah. Madam Enby named him and she named me as well. Oh, and what's your name? My name is Nonya.
Speaker: Nonya. That's a nice name. Thank you. I don't know what your names are quite yet, but I will learn them in time. Just be patient with me. Okay, without further ado, let's head on into the house then. Okay.
Speaker: So Nonya leaves the way. You walk down this fairly decent cobbled path and what you couldn't see from a distance you can now see this there's a garden in front of you before you get to the house there are trees and and flowers and whatever they don't look the best condition they look cared for and fairly well cared for but to
Speaker: Given their environment, they look quite interesting to say the very least. They're not as green as you think it would be, and not as healthy as it looks like either. But you pass through here. It feels very calm. It looks closer to you. And you notice that there's a pond in here as well. Kind of that same swirly water.
Speaker: And this house is very ornate, very beautiful, and quite large. Probably the largest part is the entrance. And you notice that this door is... instead of your typical door, it looks like a pelvis. Separated and...
Speaker: maybe something that used to exist, but quite large. Stretch is probably a good 40 -50 feet in the air, so large door. Rest of the house pretty large as well, but the entrance is definitely the eye taker there. Nonya opens this door, and inside you see a
Speaker: Not so familiar face, Enby. Describe yourself as your demon. So, Enby's floating on smoke. You can't see where her feet end. There are
Speaker: parts of the smoke that seem to become materialized and leathery as they attach to her bodies. She still looks anatomically wise, quite feminine, but where before she had eyes and pupils, she now has pure white. There are no colored eyes anymore. She's wearing a hood,
Speaker: that also seems to be dissolved in smoke. And even though you can tell that what she's wearing could be clothes, you're not entirely sure if they are or if they're just part of her. And she has small paintings on her face that looks like
Speaker: a mask. And she just opens her arms and says, I see you've made it well. Thank you, Nonya. You're welcome. Welcome to my home. Embi! I rush. I rush. I rush. It's so nice to see you again.
Speaker: I have cleared a place for you to sleep. I apologize. I don't have enough room for each of you individually, but you each have your own bed. I have not felt tired since I've entered this realm or hungry or thirsty. That's because it hasn't gotten to you yet.
Speaker: At some point, you can't survive in the Demon Realm until you start killing. And the more you resist the urge, the more itchy and angsty and angry you get, and the more chances are that you will attack someone that you shouldn't, or that a Wildly outranks you, and you will find yourselves
Speaker: or your souls rather in multiple pieces probably hanging over a fireplace. Until that time arrives, please make yourselves at home somehow.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, that doesn't sound important at all. Do you have a kitchen somewhere? I wanna cook. Heh, heh, heh. Gosh, cause priorities are straight. If you're feeling hungry, I can, I can cook you something well. As you will notice, um, soon, I think, we don't really eat
Speaker: In the conventional sense, demons, um, we consume what we do not eat. However, for you and you specifically, um, I don't have a kitchen, but I do have a little indoor barbecue that we can smoke some meat. And that's the extent of what we can do. That sounds good.
Speaker: I could use some help with the herbs. I've tried to grow something, but nothing grows in this place. No, yeah. I suppose if they grow outside, that was really, that was really pretty. Everything else is just like nothing. I see you have found my waterfall. Yeah, sorry. I dunked my head in it on my way over here. That's the big one over there.
Speaker: Maybe it's a lack of resources in the ground. Madam, Madam, in the cookies? Oh yes, of course. Come on in, come on in. There are some cookies cooling on a rack on a table, like a nice ornate dinner table with six chairs around it. The inside of the house looks
Speaker: normal. The outside looks massive, but the inside is a little more condensed. There is a bit of an area to sit. There is a nice fireplace that seems to be some kind of marble. The feel that you get from the house, I would say, is that it's not very much used. It hasn't seen much use. Everything feels a little fresh.
Speaker: at the same time you can tell that they're everything in it is quite old but i think for the first time maybe that since you've met her um i'm excited i wave you in and i pointed the cookies and there's different shapes of cookies and all of them look like to be cheeky little demons they have a little frosting on them like winking at your
Speaker: like sticking their tongue out and just like just to celebrate your new existence.
Speaker: Fighting with himself he's got like one hand like Like the other hand has like has a joint in it and he's like trying to take a hit He's like you can't smoke in here. Come on, man. Just one hit. No, just one. No, just
Speaker: This is the most beautiful cookie I've eaten all day. It's also the first cookie I've eaten all day. Thank you, Ashka. And I do take you to a room that if you imagine the house is pea shaped, like not the American pea, the Greek pea, like
Speaker: um on the yeah I know um on the left back there's a big room it has two sets of bunk beds one at the bottom one at the top but they're in a t -shape
Speaker: They're both double beds, so they fit all of your current sizes. There's a, inside the bed, which is, again, massive. I'm sorry, it's massive. There's two trunks. There is a little office, a sofa. There is a beanbag, which I can be pointed and says I bought this specifically for Roshka, because I think
Speaker: I'm gonna belly flop it. So yeah, for all intents and purposes, it's very well, very well stored. There are some books.
Speaker: two separate bookcases one of which literally says demons for dummies and a little area on the corner there is a nice bathtub and a little place to wash your hands and there's even a little decoration in the room there's arts on the wall and
Speaker: It shows from miles away that this was not the first intent of this room. This was not how it's supposed to be. So she literally made this for you. Aw. Aw, thank you, Enby. You're welcome. You look very nice. Thank you. And I think Rachka lives as being big.
Speaker: can I do for you? Tell her. Thank you for giving us a home. You said that we have to devour to survive? Yes, you can't stay idle in the demon realm. I was told we'd have to kill other demons. That is how you both
Speaker: feed the itch, as I call it, and survive. But it doesn't necessarily need to be other demons. There is a reason why demons have been known to roam the human realm and kill en masse. I see. It's just to make the equivalent value
Speaker: You need less demon souls than mortal ones. Okay. So it's like one demon soul equal to ten human souls or ten human souls equal to one demon soul? I have never done the math because I'd never wanted to be this... ...goolie. If I will. Yeah, I'm more just trying to understand. I would rather not think about it.
Speaker: For now, you don't seem to be having any kind of issues. You don't seem to be hungry. As you said, you don't seem to be tired. You seem, for moral intents and purposes, well composed. Like all of your parts are there without necessarily knowing all of your parts are there. I think. I'm a lot more blobby than I used to be. You look good.
Speaker: I don't know what that says about me. This is a bit undefined. At least you are not sharing a body with a blundering drug addict. Speaking of which, where did you go, Dealon? Yeah, what happened to you? Well, funny stories, aren't? I was going to go check on a few things at the library.
Speaker: I had gotten lost on my way and then one thing led to another and the whole city was exploding. Then I came across this idiot. Yeah, fucking right, mate. And he was being attacked by a demon. So I decided, you know, I will do, he's gonna pause for a moment.
Speaker: I decided for the first time in my 800 years I would finally be brave and not run from demons this time and decided to save this man and then we got zapped together and now we are a single soul fucking right cunt so you're like married now what are you talking to me
Speaker: Yeah, you too. Sounds like you're in love or something. I don't know. No, no, no, no, no. We are not in love nor are we married. We are souls were intertwined on a genetic level, I'm guessing. It sounds exactly like my dad had the talk with me.
Speaker: you know i was about to say it sounds like what you mortals describe as marriage in love souls intertwined and fate bound together i am so who popped the question i'm very baffled at the lack of understanding of what hyperbole is in this room right now
Speaker: humans when they get married and talk about all my soul is intertwined with yours, that is hyperbole. Their souls are not literally intertwined. That's a hyperbole. It means speaking in metaphors. It is a metaphor, basically. Yes, but Jelani, if you're honest, you did grab him in a very valiant and heroic way and said, I will save you.
Speaker: Yes, I was not going to let the random citizen die. I am a knight. But he did say for the first time, so there's something that drew you to this person. Open your heart, Yalon, like let them in. No, no, he is a gnoll. And we humans do not like gnolls. Is that like the racism song? Yeah. Yes, exactly. Just like that. Ah, come on, can't just take a fucking rip of this and chillax.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: Well, congrats on your new life situation, Dilan. No, this is not permanent. This is very temporary. That is the only reason I am here. If this fool did not get zapped with me, then I would be floating nothing. I would have stayed floating in vast nothingness because I do not like demons. But you had the fish hook as well, right? The what?
Speaker: The thing, the blue thing. Oh, yes. I felt like a fish on a rock. Well, I mean, it led me to some guys, well, gods, whatever.
Speaker: they were big and floating and told me, hey, you know, you got to go to demon world and yada, yada, yada. And I was like, no, thank you. I'm just going to stay here and be nothing. And then they were like, well, if you don't, you'll be here stuck with Donnie forever. And honestly, that sounded more like hell than, well, you know, you've gestures vaguely around the room.
Speaker: So do you guys sleep in a separate bed or are you guys gonna be sleeping in the same bed? Well, we are the same body. Sounds like marriage to me. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: it is not marriage i do not know where you get this uh how do you say marriage from uh it is quite literally magically my soul has combined with his due to a freak accident are you not hearing that part there is a freak accident part there
Speaker: Yeah, it's like carbon marriage. I wish you the best of luck, my friend. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've heard a lot of people that say, I don't know what happened. I was just walking and slipped into them. So I can understand the accidental sudden marriage. No, no, no, no. You're literally trying to push this marriage narrative. It is not that. It could just be an affair. You don't have to be married to them. No, no. There isn't. Well, you have to be married for it to be an affair.
Speaker: Are you blushing? You're having an affair? I am a skeleton and I do not blush. I think your cheekbone literally is blushing. No, that's me, man. I'm fucking high. Oh, it was the eyes. I look like I'm blushing every time you say something. No, I just took a fat ripple mate and just... He starts coughing. Before anything else, before I forget a few things. Demons are little...
Speaker: weird with names. If you know a demon's real name, you can do a lot of bad things to them. So we need to come up with code names, if you will. Among ourselves, you can call each other whatever you want, but you shouldn't tell anyone else outside of me and Nonya and Max, even though he will never care.
Speaker: your actual names. Because I tried to talk to some demons when I walked through the thing, but they didn't really get it. Yeah, that's the other thing I need to figure out a way for you to understand demon tongue. And that's not really a problem, because I don't really get it when most people talk to me. So this isn't gonna be any different. No, not in this realm. In the
Speaker: You get a feeling you haven't felt in a while. Max is communicating with you. You feel a sense of urgency and alert radiating from him currently. And Nonya looks at you. Madam Envy. It seems like it may be. All right.
Speaker: um I would tell you to wait here but I know you will follow me so come along stay as quiet as you can and we'll figure this out okay I'm gonna try to bring the beanbag no please don't okay I'll leave the beanbag thank you who is that my case so as you as you all exit
Speaker: You notice that where it was fairly quiet beforehand, it is no longer quiet. You hear a ton of chatter. Lots of talking and yelling and shouting and yammering on and on behind the gate. So you can only imagine what it sounds like on the other side of the gate. And you see Max very close to the wall, towering over.
Speaker: ready to do some damage if necessary. The gate very slowly opens and you see a crowd of demons just sitting there yelling. They all go quiet when the gate opens. They're all looking at you, Embi. I'm sorry I didn't order delivery. What are you doing here?
Speaker: And a very small demon in the front steps up. None of you will be able to hear, but this is for M .B. Ah, we we saw smoke in the chimney. Are you are you back?
Speaker: Are you willing, caring to roast yourself? Well, no, no, we were we didn't expect to get this far. I didn't think you'd open. Please don't kill me. I'm sorry. So what I do and do not do in my own house, in my own realm is none your business. And I look at Nanya. That was good. That was good.
Speaker: I would really appreciate it if the next thing that came to my gates, you offered yourself up a sacrifice. Otherwise, turn around and fuck off. Okay, okay, okay. We can arrange the sacrifice thing, but please don't kill us again. We're sorry. We were just curious, that's all. You know what? I'll have a party. I will have a party in three days.
Speaker: Whoever comes close to a mile of these walls will be the Feast of Honor. Is this in any way misunderstood? Do you have any unknown words, you piece of shit? No, no. Okay, we get it. We get the message. All right, we'll stay away from the gates. We're sorry. Glad you're back, though. I'm sure you are. Fuck off. Like, feints and they have to drag him away. And they all clear away from the gates.
Speaker: I change my mind and say, Max, are you hungry, baby? You get the overwhelming sense of happiness. A mile, Max. Maybe a mile and a half, but don't tell them. You see him kind of like giggle in his own little undulating sense. And he drifts away from the wall.
Speaker: I knew the cookies were a mistake. But at least Raska, you enjoyed them, so. So yeah, who's hungry? I have been shaped as hell. I'm doing very terrible handstands in the yard. I keep falling over. For real. I'm not hungry, but I could eat. All right.
Speaker: give it a look at max and like give it 20 minutes. I never said demons were smart. So I'll go in and there's something I need to tell you, but I'm not entirely sure how to tell you without, um, uh, getting myself in a bit of a pickle.
Speaker: Oh, you know, you know, reminiscent way of, uh, you may have seen, I don't know how to politely put this, but I'm kind of a big deal here. So while I can take care of myself, you may be
Speaker: targeted because you know me or you are within my area or just because someone doesn't like me very much. So let's focus on getting you very much in contact with your inner body slash the along bones and get your strength up a little bit. Well, I guess in for a show been for a sorry show.
Speaker: Don't worry, if anyone comes looking for trouble, I protect you all. I'm super strong. You know what? I don't actually doubt that. I have a strength of six. I can tell you all that he is the zero tone, but nobody ever listens to me. So, in how many ways? Besides like the
Speaker: I wouldn't say this is physical, but, um, actually I don't know what this is at this point. How many hidden changes do we have in store for us here? Culturally, sorry, culturally, um, quite a few, but other than your body, you should maintain all of your previous life's abilities and skills.
Speaker: Since you've only lived once, you are as you were when I met you. You only live once, YOLO! Um, Roshka, no more cookies for you if you say YOLO again. That's actually a pretty good phrase, I like that. It's not true for us and quite not true for you anymore because we live quite a few times actually. But I think for you mortals, it's actually pretty good.
Speaker: I think it's your laugh. You really shouldn't have said that.
Speaker: Oh, okay. Bring it in, little guy. Oh, that's really good. Thank you so much. All right. All right. I think I have a solution for this, mate. Here, little guy, take a rip out of this shit. Oh, no. Oh, no.
Speaker: That'll calm him right down. Fuck Adley. Oh no, he's dying. Yeah, that's good. I created a cup of water and they gave it to him. Nah, nah, nah, nah, mate, nah, mate. You gotta let him go through the motions. Really, really puts air on your chest. I don't have any hair. Um, we don't have any hair.
Speaker: Yeah, I think that was a metaphor once again. This one likes to use those instead of using language. So I guess that's good.
Speaker: I have a feeling that Roshka's problem is not that he doesn't know the words, is that his attention span stops after the three syllables. Yeah, that's a good point, right? Yeah. What'd you say? Oh, him and Donnie will get along fine. Okay. Because Donnie's attention span is quite equivalent. What are you talking to me? I don't know. He seems quite focused on whatever it is doing.
Speaker: So just again, to give you a little bit of a top -down view, Max is my groundskeeper. When I met him, he was teeny tiny blob, like house size. You know, look at him. He's so big. He big grew up so fast. Have you ever heard of a beholder?
Speaker: I actually works quite well. It's really efficient. Normally many things die in the process, but it's actually it's a sight to see.
Speaker: Like, if you really put your heart and back into it, it can happen. I don't get it. Nonny, on the other hand. So yeah, Max doesn't speak. Chances are he's going to take a little bit of time to warm up to you, but he saw the strings that connect us all. So I think he would be OK. Just don't provoke him too much. Nonny, on the other hand, is a very good and old friend.
Speaker: emphasis on old they look oh sorry how old are you again older than you
Speaker: Hmm. I raise an eyebrow. Which part of you is older than me? Collectively, I think I put you together a couple of years ago. It's the head part that matters once you put me back together. It's a, yeah, that part's much older than you, but you know, realistically speaking, you know, I've only spent a few hundred years and most of that you've been gone. It's been sad.
Speaker: Well, you know what? I feel guilty already. But I'm back and I brought people. One of them is Reska. I guess cleaning. I don't know how mortals turned into demons work, but I guess we'll figure that out. If any of you need anything at all, I guess you're servant too now.
Speaker: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm going to stop you right there, Nonya. You are not their servant. You can actually word them around because you have a dragon by like 17 ,000. Yeah, of course. But there are guests. I like to be a good, uh,
Speaker: so we'll be polite and nice to them like to be a good host if if you guys need anything just let me know at least for this first few uh first little while you don't know where anything is and you don't know how to do much so you know you can just give me uh uh what do they call it uh uh a call yes a call
Speaker: Yeah, it's just that I just I look at Naniya with kind of a meaning and other like you need to also remember to do the other things. Oh, yes, yes. So. Anything else that comes to mind as a first impression question, anything else that we can again, I walk you towards the home back because. I can hear Max in the distance getting very happy.
Speaker: Yes, but in these walls, and it's a big area. It's a couple of like 10 or 15 or 20 acres. It's a big area. You can roam freely. You can do whatever you want, but don't go out of the walls without me, okay? Okay. If anyone talks to you over the wall, immediately like tell me and I will tell Max, like just think about it and I'll know because I know everything that happens within these walls.
Speaker: don't talk to anyone don't look at anyone outside of the wall um we still can't understand them so we wouldn't yeah you know when they're talking to us so at least we don't gotta worry about that there is a distinct difference between a voice and a not voice well what if they bring like cookies or something does he come with a muzzle or do i have to build one
Speaker: My more concern is that them hearing what we say, because... Not within the walls, no. So they can't hear us from in the walls? Nope. And we can not understand them from out of the walls? Think of this inside as a mirror realm. Like none of this would survive in the actual demon realm. Like you can't grow anything in there. So it took me a lot of time to create this.
Speaker: And it's as safe as it can be. I'm not saying go out and yell our plans for the wind, but for the most part, again, as close you are to either the house, me or Max, you can talk and know that you will not be heard outside of whoever you want to hear you. Okay. I got it. I understand completely. Oh, no.
Speaker: I'm thinking there there is a way that I can take a spell as easy as corporate head language and adjust it for this type of realm. Damn, this is something that I can do. Like I will definitely send on you to the library. Seems like you could do something like that. I can do that. All right.
Speaker: Could I possibly assist them with that? I have a lot of books we can put our heads together and read and see what we can come up with. Oh yeah, I can help with that. Are you gonna read them or eat the books? I can read. I can help. I'm pretty sure he means eat. I know. What I don't know is how on earth
Speaker: Can I split Thealon from Stonehead? It is not possible. I've already asked the gods. I have to go and kill some lady, apparently. Oh, fuck her. Kill a lady. What's all about that, mate? whole spectra? Ah! Okay. Do you know who whole spectra is?
Speaker: I don't, but I mean, that's what they told me to do, so. Yep, we know. All right. How do. I'd appreciate your pressure. So I remember seeing that one thing is that as the actual does, she was the beautiful one. Yeah, right before everything came crashing down.
Speaker: So I don't mean to alarm you, but technically speaking. Yeah. All spectra is like my boss. Oh, she can like fire you or something. And she boiled me in fire, but not firing me in that sense. No. And a power scale wise, how far are we? Are you away from her?
Speaker: Well, that's the thing. I am close, but not as close as I can be or should be. But given how your soul essence is to be connected to mine, I have a feeling that the more you grow, the more I will. On the other hand,
Speaker: Nothing in this realm goes very easily unnoticed and I should have thought twice before I bake those damn cookies because now she probably knows I'm back and she knows she didn't summon me. So we have to be covert a little bit. Okay. Then that leads me to my next question. How are we going to covertly
Speaker: fight demons to gain power for you to gain power. Dean, can I guess or feel roughly what level, Dean, they are? Yeah, you can. They're currently sitting around a low five. A low five. Well, here's the thing. There are demon ranks and
Speaker: There's lesser demons than who you are now. But I was never one for mindless killing. It's not my thing. I mean, not anymore at least. So, first things first. Let's get the language sorted. After we get the language sorted, let's get the name sorted. And after we get the name sorted, what I usually do is
Speaker: So again, doesn't take this the wrong way, please don't misunderstand me, but my role mostly here is punishing all the other demons that do not
Speaker: serve well, if you will. But I have sort of a discretion as to what constitutes serving well at this point. And there's definitely demons that are doing things that they shouldn't. So I think the best way forward for you to gain some power is basically for me to do my job and open my notes and see who that is lower or roughly the same rank as you, or even a little higher if they're alone, who has been misbehaving lately.
Speaker: and set out to find them together. So that leads me to a follow -up question. How far are we away from you? Let's put it this way. Mountains don't get in quarrels with moths. Now why would they? It's like a moth is like an animal and a mountain is like
Speaker: not the same time the universe doesn't care about the mountain that's the difference between me and all spectra but i'm growing grown girl not just don't grow just stupid you're right i am super stupid i can't possibly remember the recipe that i use for the cookies to make them again so
Speaker: is your last chance. Okay, never mind. Never mind. You're super smart. I'm just stupid. Please don't, please. No, there's, I think, I mean, I guess everyone knows us in the demon realm. There's 12 levels of demon, but one can realistically go up to eight without drawing too much attention. Okay. You're sitting roughly at a five. I'm sitting at a very high 10. Oh, man.
Speaker: with a bit of a nudge it will go to 11 but therein lies the problem because 12 is all spectra and there's only three 11s and eight 10s so the moment I grow with you there's going to be at least three demons that will definitely want to kill me but at least if we can conversely get to eight and maybe even push nine
Speaker: at least four nines. Well, what does Donny count as? Is he like a half or a deal on and Donny like a whole? How is that gonna work? I would say a solid four and a half nines and an 11 should definitely at least be able to help you out.
Speaker: We'll see at the moment. I don't even want to think about it because it's very far away in the future. But. I appreciate the. To be honest, I appreciate having someone here that I don't have to screen and scream at all the time. Madam Indy. Does that mean I need to turn the scryer back on? You're joking, aren't you?
Speaker: I'll take that as a yes. I won't pretend you didn't ask me that because I would actually like to sleep tonight. Should I go and turn on the scryer? Scryer, not fryer, difference. Okay, sorry. What's a scryer?
Speaker: It's what stops a lot of other demons that want me dead that know that I'm here. At the moment this knowledge is contained to whoever saw the smoke, but give it a week. And Mac is gonna be very busy. So you're saying we have a week before you encounter people trying to come attack you?
Speaker: Um, damn, from previous times that I've returned, is it like the week 10 days? And again, they don't come to attack me per se. In your past experience, it depends on the situation. Uh, this one. Yeah. Hey, it's been a long, long time. You're not sure how things have changed.
Speaker: We need to scout. Again, we need to find demons and acts for you to do that will raise you up in ranks for the demon world and I need to figure out where where my demons at. Yeah, yeah, just like Santa Claus. You look at the naughty list. So the difference is that you are worth the naughty list. So it's a little different. That's kind of what the scryer does. It's you know, it
Speaker: No, I mean, it's kind of like a two -way mirror. We can see through it, but no one else can see into it. Kind of. But if the other side of the window was a mirror that you couldn't see. But then it wouldn't be a mirror. You're stupid. Yeah, you're quite right.
Speaker: You silly old me. I have a question. How did you all get in the path of all spectra? Is it because some gods told you or do you have business with them? We were teleported by Sarestia at first at least. She's a big blue lady. Yeah. In case you didn't know.
Speaker: I first run myself with the sun gone, then teleported into a place that I don't know, then I died, then I'm here. A lot has happened. Oh no, wait, is the city gone? Because I forgot a couple of my knives over at the old city. I think it's gone, Arshka.
Speaker: i can go back and look for them because one of them was really important i don't uh know if that's the most plausible thing we can do rashka you don't know that i need those knives it's the one thing my Nana left tiller um yes what is that on your hand
Speaker: I kind of like wiggle my fingers and you see here the frying pan that you took from Roshka. Oh, how did I get this? It was the last thing you held when you died. Yeah, it was as I gave it over to Roshka.
Speaker: Here you go, buddy. I know it's not exactly your knives, but maybe this will make up for it. Thank you. This is nice. I don't have anything just to remember my family apart. All right.
Speaker: basics of the demon form. You do not eat, you do not pee, you do not poop, you do not get sweaty, you don't need to bathe, but I live in a civilized realm where I at least have a boss. I've never had one of those before. There is a little bit. There's a bathing tub in your realm. The concept of nudity also doesn't exist in our realm.
Speaker: Um, the chests are empty at the moment, but during your trips, you can store things in them. They're the equivalent of a chest of holding, I suppose. And, uh, feel free to, uh, I don't remember how many of my books are in common or a language that is not of this realm, but feel free to read and learn.
Speaker: Whatever you can. Do I know if the books have pictures in them? I really like reading books with pictures. So when you say you can read books. I can open them and look inside, yeah. Got it. Yeah. Rashka's got this reading thing down. Yeah, I'm really good at it. He's a true scholar.
Speaker: I can I can read really fast too just like I think one of the things we should do really early on like within the next couple of days is get you after we get the language and the name sorted is get you some reps get you some reputations going so that while you will attract attention you will also attract some
Speaker: all so that people don't necessarily attack you. It will be unsavory. I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to go kill babies, but we might. Let's take it one thing at a time. I agree.
Speaker: Um, I don't really have anything else to do for the day. So you're free to like roam the house if you want and read and cook and have a bath. Enjoy your beds. They're comfy. Say no expense. Yeah. I figured the beep bag would be a nice addition for Ashka. It fits imperfectly.
Speaker: Do you like the pictures that I sent? I built that for you. Thank you for setting up your home for us. This is a very unique design. I've never seen some of these items here. I try.
Speaker: as I conjure a beanbag out of thin air and sit down on it. Aww. Look at you getting all fancy with making your beanbags and stuff. Pascal's saying, uh, swirling his hands, uh, almost dismissively in a way as if mimicking the whole, like, magic shtick. I make Pascal beanbag as well. Oh. How do I...
Speaker: Fosk tries to work out the logistics of how to sit in the beanbag when his body is like twice the length of his torso. Fosk will kind of just flop his torso on the beanbag and leave the rest lying around the beanbag. And now that everyone has settled and figured out, we'll go ahead and end there.
Speaker: Yeah. Oh, beanbags, beanbag, beanbag party. Everybody say bye. Goodbye. OK, forward to not kill babies.
