Welcome and Introduction

00:00:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of the GSPN daily West Ham broadcast today.

Celebrating a Victory and Inconsistencies

00:00:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'm joined by Jacob Elkins. How you feeling?
00:00:17
Jacob
Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good right now. um I don't think we we want to get carried away, but I think we had almost forgotten how to how to celebrate a little bit. um Yeah, what are you feeling at the minute?

Managerial Success with Potter?

00:00:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah Echoing the exact same thing. It's one where we're, you know, leaps and bounds. We can sit here and celebrate because we've beat a team, which for us is for a bit of a rare occasion of recent. And I think with this first half of the season, that's one thing we're probably wishing we've done a bit more of is, is winning against the teams we should be winning against in full.
00:00:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
I would say personally falls into one of those, but yeah that's probably my, you know, not this season kind of anticipation because it is what I think every team is having a bit of a, an up and down kind of not, not expecting what's going on. But for us, I think we've been struggling a little bit in some areas of the game. so For me, you know, I think the last time I've been on here was before, obviously, when Lopategi's been sacked.
00:01:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it's been a bit of an interesting one to see how obviously Potter's first game in the league's gone.

Scoring Challenges and Opportunities

00:01:16
Global Sports Podcast Network
But obviously for us, resounding success, it appears on paper. Well, not quite on paper, but in result. So ah yeah, we're happy.
00:01:23
Jacob
yeah
00:01:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
Very, very happy.
00:01:25
Jacob
Yeah, definitely.
00:01:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
and Right.
00:01:27
Jacob
I think, I think one of the things like I'd almost forgotten what it felt like for us to even score more than like two goals, to be honest, I think three goals. We, this season, I, we probably have once or twice, but I can't really remember scoring three goals in a game.
00:01:45
Jacob
Um, so maybe in his, you know, first sort of whatever training sessions he's got in, he's, you know, drilled in the, you know how we need to be clinical with the chances we get and you know he said something and yeah it it's worked out.

Lineup Surprises and Standout Performances

00:02:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah. I'm, I'm glad you, the one word you said there, which was on my, my list of things to talk about today, which I thought was was spot on is the work clinical because you look at the stats. obviously We're going to go into it a bit later on, but.
00:02:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
you know, the amount of shots you're on target to the amount scored, it clearly reflects that, that, you know, being issued and addressed in the ah in the dressing room. So it's good to see that that's one of the things we're looking to improve. I always think our our biggest problem usually is getting shots at the door, you know, banging on the door to get goals in. And that's usually where our problems do lie. And we've got the players that are more than capable of doing it. But, um but yeah, I mean, the the weird thing for me was looking at the lineup, it wasn't Obviously, we've got injuries at the moment, and I'm going to talk about them later on when we discuss things like the Transfoyando and upcoming plans, obviously, with the lineup and how we're going to shape up against Crystal Palace later this week. But, the lineup was over-we're, but I wasn't really expecting to see Solaire on the left wing. Obviously, I think some people remember the ancient FIFA cards used to see where you get a packetara as a centre forward, but it was a very nice, interesting little lineup to see this week.

Defensive Critiques and Player Highlights

00:03:02
Jacob
Yeah, I mean, I would say we were surprised, but at the same time, we knew it's going to be, you know, low strength um in comparison so to what it would be when we have everybody available. um And yeah, we can't fault it. You know, we we saw it and we thought that is that, you know, that is a good winner game. um But what we saw in the pitch basically proved us completely wrong, I think.
00:03:33
Jacob
Paquette has had one of his best games that I've seen in a long time. um He worked so hard for the whole 90 minutes. He got his his token yellow card as he always does, but you know he didn't do anything rash. and He won so many fouls as well. like I think and Anthony Robinson, who's been Fulham standout player this season, he he must have um been so frustrated with the way that Paquette was going down under every challenge and he was winning three kicks for it, you know, the whole game. And um I just thought generally there must have been a message from the manager that said, you know, we kind of not at full strength and, you know, the players that I have chosen in the positions that they don't always play in.
00:04:27
Jacob
and you need to You need to go out there and do the job, basically. And there wasn't a bad performance. I don't think there was. Do you kind of agree with that?

Player Decisions and Team Dynamics

00:04:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I think every every week I always seem to say, and I can't work out why I sort of sit with it now, because every week I always say I think the defence can do better. You know, I think i sing songs and praises for Wampasaka, because I do think that he is absolutely class, and compared to the reputation that I think Man United fans and and other people have said previously, where going forward he can't go forward, he's only good when it comes to one-on-one defending, i think I think he's come to show that that's one of those things that's clearly wrong about what we know about his game.
00:05:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
But particularly, I think that I've always said every week about Mavropanos being a bit shaky and every time it worries me.
00:05:06
Jacob
Yeah.
00:05:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
and you we've We've conceded two goals. I don't think that sits on just someone like Mavropanos. However, that I do think sometimes we can be a bit fragile at the back, which yeah yeah I think the the the goals we've made to score against Fulham, a couple of them are defensive areas from their side.
00:05:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I think that sometimes I can see that kind of happening to us that that could be a on paper goal that we can see normally. So
00:05:38
Jacob
yeah
00:05:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think that's probably my, if I'm criticizing anywhere, I think that's usually the case. But the problem I find is if you can see the goal is most of the time is the defense is, you know, I think in our case, most of the times the defense is false.
00:05:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it's that kind of, I don't want to just tar it all on them when it realistically, there's probably other players that I could pick fault with.

Efficiency in Scoring and Strategic Growth

00:05:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think I always joke about your, ah your, your brother saying that Guido Rodriguez is, ah is the best player in the world.
00:06:00
Jacob
Yeah.
00:06:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I don't, I really don't think he is. um
00:06:04
Jacob
No, I am. that's one of my yeah that's one of my opinions. is As much as I think he's probably a good player to have in and around the squad, you know with his experience and his football IQ, I probably don't see him as highly as as what Tom does. And I think we'd be much better off having never signed him and not letting James Ward Prowse go out on loan because that that kind of, even at the time when they did it, that seemed strange to me that obviously he's a high-caliber player who's been around for a long time and, you know, Argentinian champion, world champion, and yeah to let someone we know in Ward Prowse go
00:06:56
Jacob
and basically he's not played for Forrest and ah that was a bit of an odd one for me. um So I think, pop from what I've heard, I think Potter is is looking to bring him back in, i'm which will be great because at the moment we we need as many players as we can get. um And yeah, just to just to touch back on the on the goals, I think the manner that they scored their goals was very unfortunate to be honest. I think obviously they are woebe putting those balls to to make the goals happen but I think probably Fabianski felt a little bit and like he should have done better on both occasions. You know they were they were crosses really and on neither occasion did anyone actually get on the end of it and he was sort of
00:07:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:07:49
Jacob
hoodwinked and the balls ended up in the net. And yeah, I think he would have been frustrated with that. But then as long as we're taking our chances that we get, you know, we, we're going to be okay. And that's something we've not done at all this season, really.

Building Relationships and Youth Integration

00:08:07
Jacob
Um, like, like you said, we had three shots, sorry, three shots on target and scored all three. So.
00:08:15
Jacob
Realistically, it doesn't matter how many shots you have in. If you're, if you're scoring all of them, then you know, we can't really complain. Can we too much? I don't think.
00:08:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
No, that's your your spot on there. I'm going to break the stats down a bit further on as we go in anyway, because it's going to be good. Obviously get a highlight of that kind of first take of the the the potable we expect to see obviously for the rest of the season. But, um but yeah, I mean, all in all for ah for a first game, we can, we can sit here and obviously celebrate the result. It's one that yeah I think we're all hoping to see anyway but obviously first games can go either way for a manager so it was good to see that it always went went our way for the result and obviously I think we're getting some good signs that we're going to be seeing some more of the players you know the likes of you know earthy getting a few minutes in here and there in the last couple of games I think is really reassuring that we're going to get a manager for once that's going to invest a bit of time with the youth so that's ah that's for me something that I always think is quite important because not only from a financial side with the amount of money that we spend but equally as well because right now as you say we're struggling in depth so I think it's always good to make the opportunity there for someone else to give their you know give them time to shine but yeah I'm gonna go into a quick break now and then we're gonna come back and break down the stats a bit more detail and some more of these individual players performances
00:09:03
Jacob
Mm hmm.

Expected Goals and Performance Analysis

00:09:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Now then, as we said already, the the shots on target for me is probably the most worrying thing, but it's more the fact that we scored for me is the big win. That's the positive in the light of the fact that we've got not many shots, you know, as we like to see, you know, in Lopategi.
00:10:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
Possession was probably one of the most important things I think we'd see quite a lot more of that balance towards the 50-50 and sometimes more towards our end But his last couple of games I think we were probably averaging about 15 to 16 shots at least during a match So for me seeing that one was probably a little bit of a shocker and I think maybe that's something that other people were picking up I mean XG's for the match for us 0.95 and expected goals for them looking at close to maybe two goals. It's a a pretty interesting one, but the thing I'm kind of looking at with it is the fact that they've had 20 shots for an XG of two.
00:10:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
For me, it doesn't really it isn't that strikes me as throwing some stuff at the wall and seeing which what sticks. I'm laughing away watching the Adama Troiore miss at the end of the match.
00:10:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think there's absolutely that that is just pure happiness straight into me.
00:10:49
Jacob
Oh, God.
00:10:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
I ah couldn't couldn't just sit there and smile, not no not smile at least watching it. It was brilliant.
00:11:00
Jacob
Yeah, you've you've got to feel for him and in that moment to a certain extent, because you know if that's one of our players doing that in that scenario, then we're absolutely livid.
00:11:14
Jacob
um It seemed like a clear goal. um And I think it was Casey who did enough to put him off and he, yeah, he just smashed it over the bar. and So we're grateful, you know, he's probably one of the better players it could have fall to in that situation for us. and You know, had that have been, you know, Harry Wilson or Jimenez, then it's probably going to be a goal um just because of their quality.

Management Style and Player Adaptation

00:11:44
Jacob
Um, but yeah, like you said on the, on the, uh, XG and stuff like that, I think it, it kind of goes to show it was a combination of them having an off day, which they haven't had too many this season. Um, and us being clinical when they made errors and that is, yeah, really not something we've been this season at all. Um,
00:12:10
Jacob
We had two big chances. They had three. They didn't take a single one of their big chances. um They made more passes, and but they also committed more fouls. And yeah, the fouls is largely due to Paquetta. I think he must have been on the floor about 10 times in the second half from what I saw.
00:12:32
Jacob
um But it's what he does and you know it's one of those things where if it's the opposition, you hate it. But if it's your play, you absolutely love it because yeah he's basically prepared to do whatever it takes. um So I'm hoping that it's showing good signs that you know the manager's relationship with these players already seeming to to come through on the pitch.
00:12:57
Jacob
um because I'm not sure we saw any of that at all from Proketter in any of the games that Lopategi was there, to be honest.
00:13:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I think it's, you're right with Pakatar really, because it has, I think everyone's kind of said that it looks, you know, someone's taken the football out of him, it looks like almost. And we've always been debating whether that's to do with what's going on personally in the background outside of football, or whether it is just a bit of pressure that's come on top of that as well, for is maybe not the best ready for me equally with I think the one thing I'd seen prior to Sloppy Takey sacking was that everyone was really struggling to grasp the kind of system that he's looking for and that kind of his
00:13:37
Jacob
Mm hmm.

Youth Opportunities and Aging Concerns

00:13:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
style of play.
00:13:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
I understand obviously we've got high professional players that can adapt their play, but I think that that that kind of trying to understand what a manager wants from you can always be pretty one of those challenging things when you're trying to get all 12 you know the the rest of the pitch to also all agree and do the same thing at once so it's ah it's ah it's a tricky one I believe there but yeah it's is's good to see him actually as you say sort of picking himself up and showing himself to be the player that he has been in the pack guitar we've probably seen him from a good couple of seasons ago coming back which for me was a nice relief
00:14:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
and And I've said already briefly, obviously we've we've already seen from Potter from his initial press talks, obviously after taking over as well as also his build up towards the match that not only is his kind of, I guess, first instruction and first step in priority when he's joined is to get everyone, you know, building up the club's relationships with the players has been his top priority. And for me, that's probably one of the most important things I think you can be doing in the first couple of weeks. I mean,
00:14:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah He pretty much started a week and a half ago in my eyes. Sacked on the wednesday starts or sacked on Wednesday starts on Thursday for Potter and we we were matched on a Friday and then we've not got that long again until another game midweek so for me there's there's not much, a lot done and not a lot of time. So that's, that's my biggest sort of win there. And I already touched on the, the sort of the potential of bringing some youth, some youth into the team. And as we always say about our everlasting aging squad, it's good to see the likes of, uh, of Skiles getting in there because I think that he's looked absolutely clash from the minutes he has played so far and only for little bits. But for me, that's, that's nice and reassuring to know that we're going to get some, some minutes from the youngsters, which I always think we the ah the the most important things we can be doing for a club.
00:15:20
Jacob
Yeah, definitely because, you know, we're were one of the, we've got one of the oldest average ages in the league and it gets to a point where, you know, you look behind you and there's there's nobody really coming through. um So I think definitely Potter will be somebody who will look to to utilize those players as much as he can, especially when we've got some of our big players out, you know, it gives these, these guys that are trying to break through more of an opportunity. And I think everyone's been impressed by, by skulls and how he's started. He looks very comfortable. Um, he's a big guy. He's yeah. I think he could well be a regular star in the future. And yeah, he's not the only one we've got. We've got a few others as well, ah but it's definitely something we need to
00:16:18
Jacob
improve on you know you see the returns that the likes of chelsea and a man city get on their youth players and that doesn't seem to happen so much for us nowadays maybe the odds one or two that um will get a big move away, but it's not as regular as as we'd like seeing these homegrown talents coming through and then pushing on for us.

Adapting to Potter's Style and Player Relations

00:16:43
Jacob
um But yeah, yeah with Potter, I'm certain that that's going to be a ah big focus on his game. And I think like you said as well, just the getting his his style of play across to those players and um his brand of football as well, because
00:17:01
Jacob
We didn't see any of that under Lopategi at all. there wasn't a They never looked like there was a ah game plan in mind. It kind of looked like they were ah figuring it out as they went along. um And I think just from from what we saw in that one game, it looks like it's already setting in for those players what Potter wants from them. um And after, like you said, but you know um basically a matter of hours of being there um so they're already functioning how they are so it's great and I can't wait to see it when we've got our you know when we've got Bowen back really unfortunate about the full Krug injury and seeing him you know go down like that after the time he's had off is really sad and getting
00:17:57
Jacob
three goal contributions in three stars is, you know, pretty amazing. Um, for somebody that was out for so long and yeah, yeah, hopefully that, that'll be it for the injuries. Now we'll get a couple of, uh, we'll get a couple of, um, a couple more score players in this window. Um, and we'll push on.
00:18:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
Exactly, exactly that, mate. I think that the the the fingers crossed for the injuries point. I'm going to touch on it into our next section, just because I'm, I want to see where the transfer window coming up at the moment.

Injuries and Strategic Transfers

00:18:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
And it's now time for us to get linked to every player known to man because that's what happens every time we ever look at buying any players.
00:18:37
Jacob
Yeah.
00:18:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
But before i we move into a short advert break, I've got a question for you, mate.
00:18:41
Jacob
Mm hmm.
00:18:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
And this is something that I've been quite surprised by. Who's got more goals this season? Kudos or Sue check?
00:18:49
Jacob
That would be Thomas Suchak.
00:18:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's mental. i I genuinely can't believe it, right?
00:18:56
Jacob
Yeah.
00:18:56
Global Sports Podcast Network
as well He gets on the score sheet. It just appears out of nowhere. And I look back at the other day and stats, and I cannot believe the amount of how many goals he's getting compared to you somewhere else.
00:19:00
Jacob
Yeah.
00:19:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
He doesn't play that far in the pitch normally apart from last night. He played quite further up. because my my rogue take if I was to pull out a kind of if I could say one thing that I thought would be different in this game is that we probably use you know we have Guillerme on the bench that we we barely play and the fact that we're struggling up for attackers maybe we should give him some minutes and playing it can and playing suit check further back
00:19:28
Jacob
Yeah.
00:19:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
maybe that's a loppity thing to do and not a potter thing to do maybe that's maybe that's why that's the case but i thought maybe we could give him some minutes seeing as he can play across pretty much the the front line where we're struggling at all the time anyway at the moment so but uh but yeah i'll just go through my notes and i went hang on a minute bloody soup bottles just raging it up at the moment i can't but it's prime fallini era that's what i'm hoping it is and more goals for him but yeah
00:19:52
Jacob
Yeah.
00:19:55
Jacob
Honestly, i'd I'd feel comfortable him starting up front, to be honest. i'd I'd be more than happy. I think he could do the job. I think you put enough dangerous balls into him and and you know let him sort of...
00:20:11
Jacob
let the Wiggins do the hard the hard running and just let him arrive to a to a ball, just arrive late at the back post and he'll ah it'll score you goals. We've seen it, you know, even from that sort of deep position that he plays with. um He does it then. Yeah. Amazing. Underrated as hell.
00:20:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
Exactly. If it works in Proclus, why can't it work in real life? a Why don't we just stick it up top?
00:20:36
Jacob
ah Exactly.
00:20:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
Well, we're going to go into advert break now.
00:20:38
Jacob
Yeah. Let's do it.
00:20:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
And when we come back, we're going to be talking about our injuries and upcoming potential transfer rumors and where we you need to be looking at spending some money.
00:21:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
Right then. So this is probably the most trickiest point for me, I think, as we're getting close to January because obviously we've got a large amount of injuries, which is always concerning. I feel like, I feel like it's Liverpool that always does this. they own They've only got loads of fixtures and they own they've only got loads of injuries and it's never normally us. We just have one key player that's usually out for about two months. But this time around, I'm a bit worried because I've got a list here of what everyone's expected to come back. So we've got Bowen apparently looking like early March.
00:21:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
to Devo late January, that's not too bad.
00:21:42
Jacob
Yeah.
00:21:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
Antonio obviously end of the season is looking like pretty much if we're lucky and full crook with his injury recently being early Feb for a return date. Now there's some bits in there we can unpick that aren't too bad. I mean Tadebo coming back is good because we'll see what Potter thinks of him once he's come back from injury and if that might be a favourite option at the centre back because personally for me I think he might slightly edge the bet against Mavropanos but that's my controversial opinion but I think Mavropanos has some better days sometimes more than Tadebo does if I'm
00:22:16
Global Sports Podcast Network
If we're looking at the season so far, but Antonio full crick out for me and obviously bow it out till March. That for me is scary because we've got at least a month with no striker.
00:22:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
And we've also got, and then providing full crooks fit straight away.
00:22:28
Jacob
Yeah.
00:22:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
That that's a month. If it's not, we've got two months without a striker pretty much. And this is there.
00:22:38
Jacob
Yeah.
00:22:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
I've already said we should maybe think about Louis Guillerme, but I don't think he's going to be the sole option. That's going to fix everything now.
00:22:46
Jacob
want
00:22:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's tricky, isn't it? Because we obviously can't spend too much money. We've got to keep an eye on things. My question for you would be, what do you think will be happening in this window if you see any movement from us? I

Transfer Window Priorities

00:22:57
Global Sports Podcast Network
think a striker on loan is going to be one of the written things that, apart from that, I'm not sure where else I can see.
00:23:00
Jacob
Yeah.
00:23:03
Jacob
I realistically, whether I think they're going to happen or not, I think there's two positions that have to be filled. I think we need another centre back because at this current time we have two, which, you know, you don't have to be a genius to work out that two is not enough.

Compensating for Injuries

00:23:27
Jacob
um but the amount of games we have and you know you think about form and basically if at this current stage if maverick panels has a howler he's probably still going to play the next week anyway because we don't have a choice um so that is not a situation we want to be in i mean we only technically had three when we started the season with tadebo maverick panels and kilman which isn't a lot anyway but just getting one in whether that be
00:23:59
Jacob
If they want to look at the free agents, if there are any suitable, then by all means do it. We definitely need cover there. We know, you know, Cresswell can, can do a job. Um, it's a shame we can't, as far as I'm aware, we can't bring back, uh, Agouard from, from his loan spell. I believe there is no, uh, there's no clause to, to bring him back in January, which is a shame because.

Jacob
ah He's another one where I think I'm not really sure why he he went out in the first place because I i always rated him pretty highly. So that's my that's my first one. And then like you said, we need ah we need a target man.
00:24:44
Jacob
um because there's only so long you can you can play the way we did um against Fulham. And so realistically, where are our goals going to come from? Well, there's no Bowen, no full Krug. Yeah, no Antonio. we can't wait We kind of have to. I'm sure they're doing a lot of work at the moment. I've seen this link to so all sorts, you know, Andre Silva,
00:25:15
Jacob
John Duran, again, I've heard, I don't know how true it is, but I've heard we've had a 40 million ah offer turned down, um which I think is roughly the same as what we had offered previously, even though now he's likely to work be worth double that, considering his his ah his goals this season, but there we go.
00:25:41
Jacob
um Yeah, loads. Calvert-Lewin was another one I saw. um There's loads. But this like you said previously, this always happens and we get our hopes up and then we end up with a 32-year-old with you know no hamstrings remaining. So we'll see. I think they realized that the weight of the issue. They've got to because you know is if we had Bowen,
00:26:12
Jacob
it wouldn't be half as much of an issue because he's done the job. you know He can do that. He can do that role to a good level, but without him, it's just where where do the goals come from?

Loan Strategies and Transfer Decisions

Jacob
you know

Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, it it reminds me of a while ago, I remember, I remember being, ah being friends with a few United fans. And there was ah a few seasons ago when they obviously had recently had Brito Fernandez, and he was just that good for them.
00:26:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
And they just pray that he never gets injured. Because if he gets injured, the the games, the game has gone for them. And they know that it's just like us with the rice for a little bit.
00:26:41
Jacob
yeah
00:26:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
you know if we lose rise for a short amount of time we know it's we know it's game over and it it reminds me of that with all at the moment because we have no other source of sort of goals just coming so naturally so yeah i mean the one link that i've seen has been quite interesting um obviously is evan ferguson i i think that the the one that i've seen that gets talked about quite a bit and i would personally love i mean he's gonna be a a lone one anyway i think i don't think we can afford him um
00:26:47
Jacob
Yeah.
00:26:59
Jacob
Yes.
00:27:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
But if im if I'm thinking of our, if I was to predict now our transfer window, it'd be someone like him on loan. We're going to, I think maybe Solaire permanently. I don't know if, I don't, he's played really well considering and I think he has, there's a reason for, there'd be a good reason to get him from the permanent basis, but I can't remember how much he costs off something.
00:27:18
Jacob
Yeah.
00:27:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think he's about 14 to 20 million, and I think.
00:27:29
Jacob
Yeah.
00:27:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
um but yeah and then and then you say another send her back i can't believe that with the game i agree with you this is i think this might be a bit of a controversial with weston because i actually quite liked it when he came in i remember the first thing was and you you know he's it was like we did a playing style on fifa where you could outrun anyone with super pace you could always outrun him and it was the case in real life but then we could actually outrun him i'm seeing all the all the highlight reels when we first signed him but uh but yeah i never know why we got rid of him in the end i'm always like that with ben johnson i i never understood why we got rid of him i
00:28:00
Jacob
in Yeah.
00:28:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
it was that toolkit player but I understand people think he's a bit shaky sometimes as well so it's a bit of a tricky one but I do agree with another defender just someone else that's maybe a bit toolkit that can play a couple of positions maybe just to help us out in a little few places but um but yeah I mean it's a tricky one all in all I think for us hopefully we can do a bit of business but I'm i'm cautious that we've we probably spent a bit too much as well it's like that after a night out when you don't look at you you don't look at your bank statement no we've spent already
00:28:14
Jacob
Yeah.
