Speaker: Three weeks in and some of the guys we trusted haven't delivered. Drake May has one touchdown and seven turnovers. Saquon still hasn't hit double digits, and we've got some interesting start sick questions this week.
Speaker: So what's actually a problem? And what's Just Noise?
Speaker: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back. Welcome back to another episode of the Bush League Huddle Fantasy Football Podcast. How's everyone doing this week? fine fine september evening i'm fab and i'm joined as always with my wonderful wonderful coast co -hosts co -stars if you will because they're stars let's just be honest we're we're stars of our own podcast here.
Speaker: Roger Anak. guys we're without delay we're not gonna dilly -dally we're not gonna waste any time at all We're gonna get right into the meat of the episode. We're gonna start off with segment that is near and dear to our heart roger let's get into it are you nervous what are you nervous about what's going on Yeah, we're going to start with Omarion Hampton. So we are nervous. We may be nervous about Omarion Hampton, who is RB22 on the season at 10 .5 points per game. The big concern might be the workload.
Speaker: His snapshot went from 57 % in week one to 65 % in week two. then dropped to 42 % last week. And Keaton Mitchell. was right behind him at 36 percent Hampton's route shirt also fell to a season -low 16%. These are all very, very concerning numbers. Fantasy Pros has him at RB21 this week. fab i ask you to kick it off Are you nervous about American Hampton?
Speaker: Yeah, extremely. I'm very nervous. ah I think I think if you drafted American Hampton as your RB1, you're looking at a potential like low on RB2 for the rest of the season, the way that's back. the way this backfield is being turned out right now.
Speaker: The way the los angeles ah sorry the the Chargers have been operating as ah as a function of their offense right now. And Keaton Mitchell is a thing. Omerian Hampton, by all accounts, is a very good football player.
Speaker: He gets you. ill hook A lot of his points are going to come from just his rushing yards, and you know he's going to have to fall in the end zone, which is where one of his better... weeks did come out from. You scored 16 and a half fantasy points in week two.
Speaker: But Keaton Mitchell is very much a part of this offense right and Mike McDaniels wanted him And and he's being showcased and he's getting all the PPR work. And I think it's it's very much a scenario where you're going to be seeing more of a two -headed monster in this backfield.
Speaker: ah than you would normally see going forward. I don't think it's ah it's a bell cow and just a... Third down back that's going to be in there for. you know, just for some PPR work. I really think this is going to be a one -two punch going forward.
Speaker: So yes, I'm very nervous. Yeah. Yeah, what concerns me is the lack of catches. I think we talked about it in our preseason show last year in nine games. He had 32 catches. He was on pace for almost a 70 catch season. I think he has like one or two catches this year. So they're not using him in the passing game.
Speaker: he's getting tackled at the line of scrimmage he's really really low from a yards before contact standpoint which means that the offense line isn't getting him any push yeah and then you look at the the matchups coming up like denver denver they've been gettable but still it's good very good denver defense we know how good kc's defense has been overall um so i would I would echo that. It's just not getting better in that with regards to that situation. And Mitchell kind of is is a bit of a thorn in in Hampton's side.
Speaker: Nak, I believe you you own him too in some leagues, as do I. Any thoughts on any any other prevailing different thoughts on this? Yeah, it's just, you know, what it goes back to what we said about the O -line. It's been very, very bad this year. Joe Alt coming off the injury has not looked good.
Speaker: It's just, it's. And you can't even say last game it was a you know script dependent or it was you know went off the the rails. because they They led for most of that game, right? so The opportunities were there to run the book the football and they're just not able to do it.
Speaker: well enough. The efficiency is really not there. And then again, couple that with keaton mitchell uh coming in and now stealing you know some of the snap share It's just really, really bad news for the people who drafted.
Speaker: like myself, Hampton, in the second round to be your... you know rb1 belcal kind of you know top 10 guy which at this moment, may not even finish in the the top 20 right so Very, very strange. i'm um I'm definitely more on the concern side as well. you know there's I'm... You know what? i'm I'm going to go on in a limb here, but I think I'm starting. Braylon Allen at Chicago over him this week, if if if you have that option too.
Speaker: Thank you. it might sound crazy but i think he has just way better matchup and now he's They're staring at 0 -3 and they've got to go. at seattle like you said the schedule is just really terrible right now so Yeah.
Speaker: very, very concerned and and nervous for a Marion Hampton. Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing I agree in terms of like kind of dropping him you know potentially out of that rbt depending depending on who you have as well but i definitely agree that dropping him out of that.
Speaker: RB2 and maybe he's more of a a flex. um concerning indeed fab you're up Yes. ah So we got Drake May. So everyone's talking about Justin Herbert, but Drake May has been poo -pooing it up lately as well. May has one touchdown.
Speaker: And seven turnovers through three games. He's QB 31 on the season at 9 .2 points per game. I had to go to the second page on Yahoo Fantasy to find him. Like in the top 25, he's not there. He's QB 31. Yeah, Fantasy Pros has them as QB 14 this week ahead of the likes of Stafford.
Speaker: Bo Nix and CJ Stroud. Knack, are you nervous about Drake, mate? I am. Extremely nervous. But. I'm not going to panic just yet. As you mentioned, you know seven turnovers, not great. Only one touchdown through three games. That's absolutely brutal. And honestly, if his name wasn't Drake May, there'd be no chance a quarterback putting up nine points would still be ranked as the QB 14.
Speaker: I do think the ranking is based heavily on... you know what we're expected coming into the season but I mean... I'm also not throwing away everything we saw from him last year because, you know. three bad games but the talent is still there we definitely see this the talent there he just He seems to be panicking a little bit more, which we didn't see all that much last season. He's he's he's more.
Speaker: finicky. he's He's making the The bad decisions, which again, we didn't really see. But. I mean look. He's got Buffalo this week. it's It's actually a pretty good matchup. Buffalo's been giving up points. um You know, 30 a game almost. um on the season so For week four specifically, I don't think he's an automatic QB.
Speaker: any anymore qe2 anymore If you have a legitimate off, ah even like um like a right now with like the rushing upside and what Washington's doing with him, like it's not out of the question to start someone like that over Drake May who's having extreme struggles. so look rest of the season i'm still taking you know drake may over like way over wire options or plug and play guys but I mean... Amen.
Speaker: Really? Rest of season? If I'm going to go for it.
Speaker: this is the This is the get -right game for me for Drake May. This is going to make or break the way I'm going to see his output for the rest of the year because this is the... Listen, I don't want to...
Speaker: I don't want to make excuses for him because you expect more out of a guy who played an MVP level last year. But he did face very tough defenses in the first three weeks, and he is without A .J. Brown. And by all accounts, They don't have a lot of weapons from a pack.
Speaker: Passing perspective. Now. With that being said. He did finish second in MVP votes last year. You expect a little bit more. So like put on your big boy pants there, Drake May, and get it done against Buffalo. Or else, you know what? He's going to be riding the bench for the rest of the season. It's going to be a conversation for him from a QB2 perspective going forward.
Speaker: if he doesn't put up some sort of output against Buffalo this week. That's how I'm seeing it. It's it's it's a bit of a frustration standpoint. I haven't had Drake me and I'm annoyed by the guys who have it yeah I mean because this is This is... This is ludicrous. this What is this over here? This is a guy that was supposed to be, you know.
Speaker: That's supposed to be tanking in his third year. like And he didn't have A .J. Brown last year, right? And he still put up. solid It's the schedule. it's this it's it's yeah the schedule for sure clearly the schedule it's clearly the schedule and i put it in our in our group chat He has a passer rating of 76 .2.
Speaker: 1 ,200 yards, seven touchdowns, eight interceptions in his last six games. So it's not just this season. it's it's It's even... The trail end of the previous season has been a struggle.
Speaker: and i'm in full -blown panic mode all the all the podcasts that I've listened to. analysts are saying even drop him in one qb league which is preposterous to think of.
Speaker: at this stage, but we're not far off. and um' I'm not there yet. I'm not there yet. i am ah you know what and my not far I'm not far. In one QB leagues, i would I would probably tend to agree more that would agree he's he's he's he's he's right there because there's... there's Yeah, there's way too many QBs out there for the QB starting Drake name.
Speaker: For me, this is the last chance. of In a 1QB league, this is the last week. If he doesn't get against doesn't do it against Buffalo... you cannot look at him from a one QB perspective in in one QB leagues. And from a super flex and two quarterback league perspective, you're looking at a QB two and not a very good one at that either. because to the the points that we just raised before. like Knack.
Speaker: So you're starting him or you're starting Mariota this week? I think you already answered that question. Just tell the viewers again.
Speaker: it It would be a very, very close call for me. Like you said, I think Buffalo, because they're allowing 30 points per game, I think you want to give them that benefit of the doubt. It's not a close call. It's not a close call. Mariota looks really, really good. and He does. yeah i know you i saying he I'm not saying he doesn't. but Are you going to be?
Speaker: <unk>s I feel like there's a... There's ah a chance that Mariota goes across the pond. It's a Europe game as well. London game. Goes across the pond and potentially lays an egg, whereas Drake may... defense is very bad, man. It's very bad. Yeah, it it is. That team overall.
Speaker: we We should revisit this next week to see who finished higher, actually. He might be back next week. but yeah Yeah, he might be back next week. And also, just as as as as an aside, Marcus Mariota. arguably has a better command of this commander's offense than that's not like Let's save that for next week. I said that today. I want to i want to say that one for next week. I agree with that.
Speaker: Terry McLaurin is a thing with Mariota. He is not a thing with Jane Niles. Anyways, Nak, you're up now. So let's just keep this moving. Yeah, let's keep this party starting. We've got Mr. Saquon Barkley. So he still hasn't scored double -digit fantasy points in any game. it's He's actually RB 33 on the year at seven points per game.
Speaker: But consensus still has him as RB12, right behind Chase Brown and Jalen Warren. Roger, are you nervous about Saquon Barkley? I'm not nervous at all about Saquon Barkley. I personally thought he looked very good against the the Bears.
Speaker: I thought they went away from the run. I thought he was cutting back. He was making guys miss. He was strong against the hole. And if I look at some of his stats, he's still in the top 14 in yards after contact. He's still making guys miss. And the schedule after week five, you know the next the next week or so, gets a little it's still a bit hard. But after week five, he has the Panthers.
Speaker: and the Dallas Cowboys. that that those are very favorable favorable to me so I think the Eagles just have to lean. back on him. And not, don't put too much on Jalen Hurts. Like, they were running the ball really well.
Speaker: And if they do that, and it's as simple as it is. I think Saquon is still very much a... a top tier maybe low -end RB1, but still a top -tier guy. Pink kids.
Speaker: That offense to me doesn't have an identity. And that's what makes me nervous. This is what makes me nervous about Saquon Barkley is because sure, the talent is still there, but. Man, through three weeks, seven points per game, being stuffed at the goal line. Like, it's just the O -line is really...
Speaker: in in shambles right now as well I... I don't know. i would be I'd be pretty nervous paying up a second round. Second round pick for a Saquon Barkley not producing yet, but...
Speaker: To your point, Roger, he could definitely be a... buy low candidate right now. And, you know, hopefully, like you mentioned, hopefully the the the lighter schedule will will help them improve.
Speaker: So, okay, hold on a second. The lighter schedule is going to help him improve. Saquon Barkley is not going to be matchup dependent. Is that what we're talking about right now? like This is a guy that was the offensive player of the year. This is a guy that was supposed to be rushing for 2 ,000 yards. and And I love Saquon, but like and i I do have some concerns after three games. like ah take Take the stinger. Game out.
Speaker: He's been effective. From a brushing perspective. He still lacks a little bit in PPR, and he hasn't hit pay dirt. So like i the Hubbard this week over Saquon Barkley.
Speaker: yeah I'm sorry. Again, Troy. No way. He's not 5 .1 yards per carry. He's still making guys miss. But he's got 21. Points on the year. Chubba Hubbard had 21 last week.
Speaker: No, I... I don't know. Maybe it's my bias. It's a tough matchup. He's playing detroit it's that that's playing Detroit. I personally... he's got I personally still can't. See myself sitting. And I have Barkley in a league, right? Not sitting. I'm gonna not going to sit.
Speaker: I'm not doing it But I'm... i'm i'm I have Chuba Hubbard higher in the rankings than Saquon Barkley this week. 100%. And that's it's it's match -up dependent. It's match -up dependent for that sake. I agree, though, with with the Mac. I mean, it's...
Speaker: It's close, but yeah, you you kind of do like the way Chubba and that offense has been rolling versus how Billy has been. it's just dysfunctional is horrible i think the only the last thing i'll say i think you alluded it to knack i just want to reiterate it Mike. People are looking to offload Barkley. Get on it now. Because I think i think they're going to realize they need to rely more on him, which they're not doing right now.
Speaker: Let's hope. Raj, you're up. Yeah, so Tedderall McMillan versus Malik Neighbors. So Ted McMillan is... WR 37 on the season at 9 .8 points per game and just ah just gave you two catches for 17 yards. Meanwhile, Neighbors is even worse. Wide receiver 58 at 7 .2 points per game. Yet ConsenSys still has them both in the WR2 range. Tet is at WR14. Neighbors is at WR19. Nak, who makes you more nervous?
Speaker: Tedaroa McMillan or Malik Neighbors. Yeah, I think i'm I'm a lot more nervous on Malik Neighbors right now. The 29 % target share looks great, but the quality of those targets hasn't been there.
Speaker: And like you said, why receive a 58 through three weeks is by getting plenty of volume. And until that passing game starts creating more downfield opportunities, I like i don't. I don't think you could do.
Speaker: you know too much with those targets and now you have Now you have potentially J .J. McCarthy coming in and and throwing him balls. like That. I don't know, it seems it seems a bit strange, but... Look again on the other side, then you have. Nick Millen.
Speaker: two catches for 17 yards last week obviously is not what you want from a guy you probably drafted to be your WR1 2 this year. But. I'm willing to chalk that up to a bad week. like his His role is...
Speaker: is His role is still there. I know Coker is like eating into it a little bit, but. Better QB right now than what the what the Giants have. And the Detroit matchup this week looks very appetizing. Coker could miss the game as well, so I'm expecting a huge game from McMillan.
Speaker: So if I own both. I'm definitely starting tet in in week four. Bye week, obviously next week is a bit annoying, but long term. Ta -da.
Speaker: Neighbors probably has the higher ceiling, I would say, if the offense improves. But right now, I think Tet feels a little bit... a little bit safer to me. You know why Tet makes me more nervous?
Speaker: Because from everything we've said for the first three games, or I guess two and a half for Bryce Young. the The Panthers' ah offenses look good. They're throwing the ball over the yard. Tet hasn't really done much.
Speaker: And it's because of Coker. And. I don't have the stats in front of me but I'm Pretty sure over the past, you know, maybe last six games where both Coker and McMillan are together, Coker has been the guy.
Speaker: for the Panthers and for Bryce Young. And I think. there's a changing of the guard where Jalen Coker is a WR1. in carolina and not tech tech macmillan Whereas we know. Malik neighbors is the guy and.
Speaker: You just hope that... The next I mean it's a get -right game against Arizona who they gave up a lot of points They're giving up 39 points for PPR points per game to wider sees a great matchup you have to think this is the matchup for neighbors to get back.
Speaker: So. I... Jalen Coker is 100 % the wide receiver one in this ah offense, even to the point where he has less snaps than McMillan, but he still out -targets McMillan. And there's also the also the the quality of targets are a lot of higher with yeah Coker than it is with McMillan.
Speaker: End. Bryce Young just looks for him. It's I'm equally nervous on both Right. But Malik neighbors. Is a wide receiver one in this offense?
Speaker: This offense will get rolling because they need to move the ball and it's going to be with Malik neighbors. It's only a matter of time. he Also, don't forget forget, he's coming back from that whole ACL injury and all that stuff. It takes a little bit of a few weeks for it to ramp up. He felt good after week one.
Speaker: Week three was a widow have but little bit of a mess. I'm very confident that much better days are ahead with Malik neighbors. that i would be with Ted McMillan. I think we're seeing what Ted McMillan is going to be.
Speaker: whether Jalen Coker is in that offense or not, and he's going to be. at the best of a wide receiver too a high -end wide receiver too for sure but Malik Neighbors is definitely something that I would be targeting Malik Neighbors. Talking about buy low right now, Malik Neighbors is something that I'd be targeting from a buy low perspective.
Speaker: For sure. For sure.
Speaker: Yeah. I mean. All right. So, Nak, let's go to signal or noise. Yes, yes, let's get into it. are another Our famous signal or noise section. We have Mr. Matthew Golden on the docket here.
Speaker: So Golden had 12 targets, 5 catches, 100 yards, and a touchdown. and He's wide receiver 13 on the season with an 83 % route share and a 25 % target share. Can't believe he was dropped in our Bush League at one point.
Speaker: Fantasy Pros has him as WR18 this week. So, Raj, I ask you, signal or noise, has Matthew Golden officially broken out?
Speaker: where where where when where where where This is a huge signal. like He looks fantastic. I was worried about him as a rookie last year, but if you look at... Some of the metrics compared to Christian Watson, they're both basically at 80 % route share. um Watson's at 24 % route share, as you mentioned. you know Golden is around the same area. What's crazy is that he's only being started 50 % of the the time. He's he's rostered at 83%, and he's only being started 50 % of the time, which I even forgot to start him in two leagues. i' Not forgot, but I wasn't sure. I had to see it. But he looks like a game -breaker. And if you look at this offense, they're going to be able to sustain two wide receivers because they cannot run the ball. The defense is suspect.
Speaker: and tucker craft doesn't look good and i think jayden reed is out for the season so I am loving um Matthew Golden. He has Tampa Bay this week. They're going to be gettable. Chicago afterwards, we know how depleted that secondary is. And then Dallas and Detroit.
Speaker: All systems go. on Matthew Golden. and It's funny you mentioned Tucker Kraft that he looks bad because I think that's what is boosting and having them being able to sustain two wide receivers right now.
Speaker: But I think. What Fab alluded to last time with neighbors is coming off that ACL, maybe it's taking a little bit of more time to ramp up. um So you may see some you know targets go down as the year progresses, but I definitely agree. Definitely a signal here for me as well.
Speaker: See. I'm going to push back just a little bit here because I don't think. He has broken out yet. I think we have. I think we're looking at a legitimately top 10 wide receiver this year.
Speaker: like and And that goes the same for Christian Watson as well. I don't think we've seen what a ceiling he could have right now. And I think the fact that... and Listen, it's week one. He had 12 targets. That was great. Week two, he had six targets and 12 again. That little lull, though. and Week two, like Jaden Reed was in the offense, right? Now he's gone.
Speaker: So I have to figure that. I know, Roger, you mentioned that before, and I don't want to beat the same drum here, but. It's just going to be so much more volume going towards Matthew Golden. So even with Tucker Kraft come in they're gonna manufacture different targets for him And...
Speaker: All the points you guys just mentioned. For me, it's like Matthew Golden to the to the moon. This is your golden ticket. This is your golden ticket. If you picked him up off waivers or if you drafted him at a very, very late... round you probably have a league winner potentially have a league winner i was oh another league winner from the packers And I thought you were going to, I don't know why, but I thought I was going to say golden shower.
Speaker: it would be more on brand that's for sure but are we concerned she's are we concerned at all that 12 targets only came across with five catches.
Speaker: i know he's he's a home run hitter type player but are we are we concerned a little bit here Yes and no. so yes ah he he He really throws a lot of catches from a contested catch perspective. Like Jordan Love throws him the ball and a lot of he he pulls a lot of DPIs.
Speaker: I think that's where it comes from. Because he does a lot of one -on -ones. so there is a bit of a concern in that sense like you can't just throw everything at him and you know but like yeah you want those numbers to be up but at the same time you're not going to be complaining too much either because 12 targets is 12 targets.
Speaker: You know? Even if you catch five, hey. It's 12 targets. i' I'm okay with that. I won't complain too much. All right. Raj, why don't you take us to the next one? Yes, Khalif Raymond.
Speaker: So he just went for six catches for 90 yards and a touchdown. He's a WR 12 through three weeks at 15 and a half points per day, which is crazy to say consensus still has him all the way down at wide receiver 54. And he's one of the biggest waiver movers in our data.
Speaker: Fab, signal or noise, is Khalif Raymond actually someone you're willing to start? ah signal. very much signal like i you need a little bit more of a body of proof to see it But then don't forget, Kalief Raymond was with Ben Johnson in Detroit.
Speaker: there There is that. that there There is something there and he likes him and he's going to get the ball and he's manufacturing targets for him. So this is Signal for me. This is... um' a um or if i own romo dunza right now i'm very concerned because i think uh i think Khalif Raymond took over the the role that was supposed to be for Roma Dunze.
Speaker: And. he's He's getting a decent amount of targets. He's making a lot. out of them I don't know like this is definitely like you cannot ignore this anymore you really really can't um He's...
Speaker: What we're looking over here is route share is very nice. It's getting bigger every single week as well. Catchable targets are very good. Average FF target is very good. I mean, we're talking about a serious amount of volume for a player that has been producing quite well that nobody expected to. So yeah, this is this a signal for me. For sure.
Speaker: I'm going to push back a little bit on who it affects because Roma Dunes, it still affects a little bit more Luther Burden, I feel, because they play more of the slot receiver.
Speaker: um you know run after catch Whereas a doomsday is more like the X receiver go for the the deep passes. While we're talking about Idunze, though, like he has a clear cash problem, a clear cash issue, and I think that's an an issue of itself.
Speaker: I think my quick view on it is that it's still a little bit noise but I need to see another week. It's favorable because, as you as you guys as you said, he's worked with Ben Johnson before. ah But I do think this might affect more Luther Burden, actually.
Speaker: because they play a bit more of that that same role. Fair. they're both They're both averaging the same amount of targets per route. Like... quite equally. Like, roll the No, Noromo Dunze is the one in this that's losing. na i'd be I'm curious, would would you flex him this week? or like this is someone you're just putting at least in your flex or even wr3
Speaker: It's tough, man, because we forget like Odunze last year was like. wr what like five at the beginning of the year although like yeah like Up until I think half the year, he was like WR8.
Speaker: i have to think that at some point they're going to use their stars So. I'm a little bit more on the noise side as well here. And it's like. This is going to be a situation where.
Speaker: look Okay, Case Keenum looked good. He came in. He had the adrenaline. There's still backup quarterbacks in in in play here. you know Do you really want to get burned the week where he sees two targets, one catch for seven yards, and he's in your flex?
Speaker: That's where I think the it's it's not a signal just yet. I think I'm still going to go on the side of noise because you just don't want to get caught on that week where you're like, oh yeah, this guy's got to be in my lineup. and then you know lays lays an egg because i think those days are potentially coming there they're gonna get Odunze involved and he's going to figure it out, I think.
Speaker: And so even burden too, to your point, Raj, burden is going to get more involved as well. Got to play your stars. fa i'll pass it on to you shortly but like i think it is interesting that raymond two percent started last week i'm assuming that'll increase a little bit but i i also think People just like see Khalif Raymond. It's not a brand name. And it's like, ah.
Speaker: I don't want to put this guy in my lineup. Like, who is this guy? you know like he was He was maybe a guy that you you add. you spend like $5 on fab. last year and like you know you end up dropping a few weeks after so i think signal just on that front, but. um Fab you're next.
Speaker: ah Yeah, we're gonna jump over to Michael Wilson So Wilson saw 17 targets. Just this last week. Caught 11 passes. We're 89 yards and a touchdown.
Speaker: What's so funny? What time is it? 17 targets is what i'm laughing at i'm just it's crazy to it so it's a ridiculous it is it is quite a large number for one game uh one game it's like brandon marshall back in the days And he also also scored 26 PPR points, Mr. Michael Wilson. The concern is that Arizona had to throw it 52 times for him to get 17 targets. so ah That volume might be a little bit inflated. He's wide receiver 20 on the season. ConsenSum has him as wide receiver 23 this week.
Speaker: Raj, is it signal or noise? Are you trusting Michael Wilson in your lineup? Signal, absolutely trusting him in my lineup. what inflation like we know arizona is going to be down we're going to throw it 52 times is exactly what made michael wilson a borderline top 10 wide receiver Last year, he's out -targeting Arizona's other primary receiver, which I don't even think is Marvin Harrison Jr., 31 -9. It's Kendrick Bourne, his other word. Yeah, or else or even...
Speaker: You know what's funny with Michael Wilson? ah this This concerns me for like a Trey McBride owner, actually, how much he's getting peppered and and the chemistry that he has with Jacoby Brissett. But I think this is clear signal. He's to me a WR.
Speaker: two at the very first short wr3 and he's going to get a new york giants team that is allowing 35 PPR points per game to wide receivers. this is This is a pretty good matchup. As we know Fab, our corners are are susceptible on that front.
Speaker: Yeah, well... We're we're banged up in this in the quarterback department, but I do agree with you. Mac, you want him too. So like jump in if you think, like, what, 17 targets per game. Are you also going to... you have the same opinion as rock right roger right there would you also have him a different flex No, I think he's in my top three wide receivers startable every week from now on.
Speaker: At least the next two weeks guaranteed. As we mentioned, he has the Giants this week, then gets Detroit. the week after. Also gets the the Rams. They're probably going to be down in that game and have to throw a lot. at Denver, I know, gets a bit. tougher matchup, but we've seen these teams.
Speaker: give up points as well. And. I think as we mentioned it, you said it, 52 times they threw. That's probably going to be a stat they see a lot this year. so where we like Where we like the volume, there's going to be some kind of... And look, it's not that he produced like crazy. He had 11 catches, were only eighty nine yards but
Speaker: 26 fantasy points and he didn't find the end zone. so This is a guy that is is ah easily every week. Going forward, I think without... without question. I think you've got to get him in there.
Speaker: Yep. And Marvin Harrison Jr. is very much a thing of the past, unfortunately. He is droppable, ladies and gentlemen. yeah in like yes even an eight death ball Even in -team leagues. I i dropped him in a 12 -team. I dropped him in a 16 team. guillotine leader.
Speaker: Yeah. Fair. 100%. yeah he is absolutely he's absolutely unrosterable he's not even unrosterable never mind unstartable Yeah, whatever. ro roster ball unartable I don't roster players. I don't plan it on starting. So for me, it's the same thing It's just it's a tip for everyone out there. and Why are you going to roster your a player if you're not going to start him at some point in the future? I'm just saying, FYI. It's a waste of a bench spot. Yeah, so I think we're all in agreement over here. ah So.
Speaker: ah Roger, I think we can move on to to your next guy. Yes, Kenyan Sadiq just went for seven catches for 105 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. He saw a 22 % target share and was targeted on almost a third of the routes he ran. He's a tight end 10 on the season, but consensus still has him as the tight end 13 this week. Knack, signal or noise? Are we buying Mr. Kenyan Sadiq?
Speaker: You were giddy during that whole introduction of Mr. Kenyon Sadiq. You here had this huge smile on your face. I'm going to buy it, man. A little bit of concern, but I will buy it. um Look, he obviously had a huge game, but... it you know,
Speaker: Part I really like is is the 22 % target share. And he's being targeted on 32 % of his routes. So that tells me. This wasn't just one of those busted coverage and one touchdown inflating week, right? Like, it's he he really got open and and he was being, you know, Geno Smith was looking for him.
Speaker: The concern is he only ran a route on 57 % of his dropbacks. so It's going to be really difficult to maintain that kind of target share the consistency. with the consistency on the field. but Tight end gets pretty ugly quick and he's already tight end on the season, right? As you mentioned. So I'm obviously picking him up and I'm i'm definitely comfortable starting him. i know I think I saw he picked up a little knock, but I don't think it's going to be anything anything serious.
Speaker: um Man, like I like him over like a... like a Mark Andrews even who's been disappointed. He probably bumps up Even over. I think Isaiah likely...
Speaker: right now with with the with the mess and in that quarterback situation. And then like Dalton Schultz as well. like if If Nico Collins is back, I don't like Schultz anymore and Harold Fannin. kind of been hit and miss. so Yeah, I'm buying Sadiq right now. I'd just love to see his his route participation increase increase before like he's locked and loaded as my... yeah tight end one for the every week.
Speaker: I would agree with you, Nak. I think we just have to be wary about Mason Graham. Sorry, Mason Taylor. Mason Taylor is week to week. He may play this upcoming week.
Speaker: The fact that A .D. Mitchell didn't play as well is a big is kind of a factor as well for him getting more targets. But. like We saw how talented this guy was at Oregon and from the pre -draft perspective. like They're going to find ways to use him. He was a first -round tight end. One thing I just want to say is I saw a tweet on Josh Norris on X from Yahoo Fantasy.
Speaker: He posted that the Titan 17 is averaging more points per game, 9 .1, than the WR33. 8 .8 and the RB25. 8 .5 So what that tells you is like, if you have someone like a Kenyan Sadiq and another tight end.
Speaker: you know, like an Isaiah, likely you might be able to flex one of them. and obviously you know start the other tight end. So um I thought that was an interesting you know little tidbit in terms of what to do with some of your tight ends.
Speaker: Cut. Yeah, no, I agree especially from a tiny point point of view um I have likely and kiddo and I find myself sometimes putting likely in my flex spot Where I kill has been just ripping it up. Also, just in one more point on this. Breeze Hall 2 got banged up, right? So there's a lot of other PPR.
Speaker: potential there for kenny and sadiq in the the next few weeks as well i think even if taylor does come back so i think fab do you think it's gonna be volatile a bit with it with like with this type of player again yeah for sure Yeah, it's it's not going to be every single week you know what you're getting. There's going to be games of 20 points, there's going to be games of 5 points. and But then then again, he's also a rookie tight end.
Speaker: So you kind of have to live with the good and the bad a little bit. but This week, I definitely start him over Mark Andrews. I don't think it's even a question over likely as well. Lovely. Yeah. Unfortunately, yeah yeah. Yeah. Right now, yeah, you you have to. I mean, you you have to pivot you have to pivot very quickly with tight ends this year. because There are maybe three or four tight ends that are consistently getting you, and we're only three weeks in.
Speaker: But there's there's a three or four tight ends that are like consistently getting you 15, 20 points a week. And then everybody else, it's like a bit of peaks and valleys right now. So you're going to have to. you you you need to roster two tight ends almost i never thought i'd actually say this but this is the year for it it's it's weird that's exactly it that's exactly it Yeah.
Speaker: um All right, Nak, let's pay some bills. Take us to Fantasy Caster. Yes, Fantasy Caster is back with us for one more time. That's fantasycaster .com. AI slash. be l H.
Speaker: Again, fantasycaster .ai slash blh.
Speaker: large Why don't you continue with the consensus versus... bush league huddle rankings but yes car please Yes, this is our before last segment, two rankings, two actual lineup decisions. And um what we'll have here is Kirk Cousins. Nak, actually, you're going to ask Fab about Kirk Cousins.
Speaker: ah Yes, I will. I will, I will. Kirk Cousins versus the QB two -tier. So Cousins is QB 9 through 3 games, averaging nearly 20 points per game. But consensus has them all the way down to QB 24 this week.
Speaker: There is a reason Kansas City has been brutal against quarterbacks. Thad, how far are you actually willing to drop Kirk Cousins in a 2QB league this week? Well, I have to start him because my other quarterbacks are Sam Darnold and Justin Herbert. So he's definitely starting for me. And in another one of my leagues, I'm benching.
Speaker: um bake while benching baker he got her injured so i'm sorting kirk cousins as well for that respect Listen. Uh, Kansas City having exactly. They faced Murderer's Row when it comes to quarterbacks in the first three games. They faced Malik Willis, Daniel Jones, and Bo Nix in week one.
Speaker: Am I concerned? Sure, I am. But at the same time, I'm not... convinced um um I don't expect this to be a single -digit fantasy performance. I also don't expect this to be a very bad fantasy performance for Kirk Cousins either. They are playing at home.
Speaker: They are playing in a dome, so the conditions are going to be great. The offense has been really well. And Brock Bowers coming back, like it gives you that X factor that's just hard for anyone to cover, quite frankly. And I don't even know if the linebackers that Kansas City have can do that.
Speaker: So, yeah, i'm I'm not as concerned as most people are. He's definitely a QB two for me this week. I'm not going to start saying that he's a QB one starting that or whatever. But he's been playing very well. He's been playing very mistake -free.
Speaker: He's been playing smart football. He looks like a little bit of the cousins of old that we expected him to be towards the end of Minnesota. You know what I mean? ah So. i'm I mean, ah of obviously I need to start him in a lot of my leagues because it's a two quarterback super flex league. I would be wary to start him this week.
Speaker: in a one quarterback league but i'm still starting with confidence in two quarterback leagues no problem and like He's rated right behind Justin Herbert, and like I don't like that at all.
Speaker: I hate Justin Herbert has says has not been great and he gets Seattle as well. Yeah. Mm. Yeah, not. Not great. I think he's... he's Maybe he's rated a bit a bit too low, but I think he's in there. like Low -end QB, too. For sure. yeah yeah Yeah. Yeah, I think that's it's a fair ranking. I mean, I don't have a lot of quarterbacks that I would put him above of, to be honest with you. Like case C .J. Stroud versus Dallas. It's a nicer matchup for sure, but it's C .J. Stroud. And unless Nico Collins is coming back, I'm not really sure how I feel about that.
Speaker: O 'Nicks is only going to play good in the fourth quarter. And Drake may versus Buffalo. This is get right game, but like you know what like all these guys ah like From quarterback. 14 to like 20. are probably all going to finish with a few points of each other, right? So that's kind of how I see him this week.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Yeah, oh I mean... Yeah, Raj, go ahead. No, it's ah but very, very quickly. I think for me, it's I put him above like Jordan. I own Jordan jordan Love. I put him like I think that offense is in here.
Speaker: um i think I think he's going to have a nice game. That offense is humming, and brock but I don't think teams will have an answer for Brock Bowers. Yeah. on most uncoverable. he was he was He was labeled the most uncoverable person or uncoverable player in the league.
Speaker: ah Fab, Google. Why don't you take the next next two? ah Yeah, so I got, to oh, this is nice. This is actually a very good one. This is a realistic scenario that a lot of people are dealing with right now. We got Chase Brown versus Jalen Warren.
Speaker: Consensus has these two backs. Back to back. That's a tongue twister. At RB10 and RB11 this week. Brown has established the work. He has is an established workload. He's third among running backs in rushing share and seventh in route share.
Speaker: Warren just ran for 127 yards, scored 20 fantasy points, and handled 81 % of the Pittsburgh carries. Recall Dottle is... officially out for week four, just like he was. for week three.
Speaker: Knack. Who are you starting? Bias aside. Chase Brown or Jalen Warren.
Speaker: Look, I think the rankings is has it. perfectly. um Bias aside, I think it would be I would take Chase Brown over Jalen Warren.
Speaker: And the reason. The reason is he had a heavy workload last week and they play on a short week on Thursday. So I think they're going to have to sprinkle in. um They're going to have to sprinkle in some more running backs, whether it's a Travis Homer.
Speaker: or um a lee nichols or you know it they're just gonna have to They're going to have to They're going to have to change it up, really. and honestly The Steelers, I think, are 0 -9.
Speaker: on Thursday nights. on the road in the division. So... The fantasy matchup part of it is is not going to be good. like he He could still blow up, but I just think there's...
Speaker: There's some caution here. and Look, right now we did see that they had. their offense kind of you know clicked for the first time all year. But I think I'm still trusting.
Speaker: the Cincinnati offense right now over Pittsburgh's offense. and Uh, Cleveland always pays them plays them tough at home, especially on Thursday nights. So if I had to choose one, it would be Chase Brown over Warren this week.
Speaker: like i want to give jalen warren his flowers because i don't think anybody expectant view. performing at this level and he's he's by all accounts a very good he's a really good running back in this ah offense like he plays super super well he plays even better when he's the only running back in this ah offense like I know that sounds weird to say or stupid to say but it's true when we saw it last year as well he catches everything he's good between the tackles he's good However,
Speaker: I'm chasing the points, though, with Chase Brown, like you said. i mean this is potentially going to be a shootout, right? The Bengals versus the, bra versus the, um The Jaguars. And sick. Steelers and the Browns, it's going to be a low -scoring affair. There might be some PPR points there for Warren, but...
Speaker: i think there's a better chance that chase brown actually blows up in fact a lot of people are calling for this to get the ah get -right game, if you want to call it that, for Chase Brown. He hasn't been necessarily performing to his...
Speaker: expectation of what people wanted him so far. This could be that game versus. The Jaguars. I know I have one of my leagues and I would like that to happen. Yeah, man. like That's a great segue. I was just going to say like there's a lot of buyer's remorse to Chase Brown. He's the RB9 ADP.
Speaker: And he he needs this game or else we're going to probably talk about him in Are You Nervous next week. That's a good point.
Speaker: Fab, you want to take us to one move before Sunday? Sorry. Yeah, that's right. So let's just finish this off. We've got one move before Sunday. So this we've been doing this now every so every week now. Or we just... Put tentos down. on what we think is going to happen or what we want to happen, or what we actually what move we're going to make for one of our leagues.
Speaker: One sentence. That's it. Roger we're gonna kick it off with you What is your one move before Sunday? Yeah, I'm putting Michael Penix Jr. in my QB2 spot in Bush League.
Speaker: along with Jordan Love. I have Daniel Jones as another option. I have CJ Stroud as another option. Daniel Jones, he still looks injured or or a bit hobbled. And CJ Stroud, I just don't trust him right now. And I really like what I saw from Penix last week against the Packers. So it's going to be Penix for me at QB2.
Speaker: i like it Like it.
Speaker: Yeah, I'll go next. So my one move is, as much as possible, I'm trying to roster Keaton Mitchell and ah in all the leagues that I can. I know we spoke about him at the top of the pod, and Keaton Mitchell has carved out a rollover here, and you don't know what that's going to turn into, but injuries can be a thing in the future as well.
Speaker: And it's just one of those things where like, you know what, let's just see what this plays out to because if he becomes a PPR stud. And he turns into a little bit of an Alva Camaro role where he gets those 10 carries. or five carries, et cetera, and then.
Speaker: He also turns in about like. Fibers. Six or five PPR points and he's he's looking he's there in the red zone offense as well ah He could be a very nice flex plate down the line for the season.
Speaker: Knackered by you. I think this week is the week, healthy or not, I finally bench Ladd McConkie. Kind of had enough of just the 10 points. I went and picked up...
Speaker: Keenan Allen, who actually had a really nice showing. ah In the Alec Pierce's demise, he's on IR, he saw nine targets. Six catches, 63 yards and a touchdown for 18 fantasy points. PPR fantasy points. And he gets Washington this week, who's giving up the most points to wide receivers.
Speaker: So I think um I'm going to start him this week and hope for the best. Fantasy vampire Keenan Allen just doesn't die. The vampire, baby. I'm on the Keenan Allen train this week, my friends.
Speaker: But that'll do it for week four. On behalf of... fab and raj don't forget to like follow and subscribe for all your week 4 content Good luck this weekend, and we'll see you next week. Peace out, everyone.
Speaker: Bye everyone.
