Speaker: Yes, fantasy football is back, and we are back, and welcome back. Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back to another episode of the Bush League Huddle Fantasy Football Podcast. How's everybody doing? How are we doing? My goodness gracious. but we're We're in full swing.
Speaker: The season has begun. Your record's already 1 -0 or 0 -1 or 2 -0 or 2 -1 or 1 -1 if you have the whole medium thing, medium points thing that some people have now, which is which is kind of cool. we might We might look into that next year.
Speaker: ah But yeah, it's a bit... Week one was exciting. There was a lot of points scored. End. Nice. before I'm sorry. I apologize. I apologize. I'm joined, as always, with Roger and Mac, as I always am. My name is Fabio. We're here at the Bush League Fantasy Football Podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for coming along with us on this ride. we got to Prop. full jam -packed episode for you like we always do.
Speaker: We got the week one production we're going to be talking about right now. The week one production that was. That was a symphony of points that were scored. especially if you're a Ben Johnson fan. And if you're a Chicago Bears fan, if you played somebody that had Chicago Bears players like myself.
Speaker: It was very difficult. We have. underlying usage we're going to be talking about this episode right now. We're going to be looking at week. two consensus rankings which is exciting because you know something, after week one is done, we got to start working for week two.
Speaker: We're looking at what actually changed, what might be noise, and what most importantly is going to happen. about this week coming up. Because we're here to prepare you guys for week two. That's why we're here. We're here to talk about some stuff.
Speaker: Go over some players, figure out what's news, what's noise, what's legit, what isn't legit. And, you know. I'm sure a lot of us are feeling some some emotions. Like we. obviously should be feeling.
Speaker: After a week one of fantasy football, some highs, some lows. Some of us might be even a little bit. apprehensive. or concerns. We're going to kick off a new weekly segment. dedicated to but A Bush league.
Speaker: A Bush League member alumni, Lucas, also... also as ah as a As a bubble championship winner if you want to call him that as well This segment right now is called Lucas is called. Are you nervous? So that's pretty much what we're looking at right now players They're gonna make you nervous for week two based on their performance, have happened in week one.
Speaker: Raj, we're going to kick it off with you. I guess. i mean who's who's making you nervous yeah so week one is where people react let's figure out which bad games actually matter. So Fab, we're going to kick it off with you actually. with regards to Jalen Waddell.
Speaker: Yesterday. Jalen Wall on Monday Night Football. had Three targets, one catch for two yards. Denver's passing game was absolutely putrid, Bo Nix included.
Speaker: And now he gets a tough Jacksonville Jaguars matchup in week two. Fantasy Pros has him as the WR17. Are you nervous about Jalen Waddell? next week.
Speaker: I'm not nervous yet. I'm definitely annoyed i'm I'm definitely annoyed with that entire offense and the way it was operating ah Monday night. ah You don't want your... you don't You don't want the receiver that... But.
Speaker: That you paid so much to get to get like what two targets I know it was like game one and you know roads always mean to overreaction Targets are going to come. Bo Nix has been able to sustain. WR2, WR1, and Fantasy. We saw that with Court and Sutton last year and the year before, even his rookie season. so I'm not I'm not concerned right now. It's obviously not a trend I'm happy about. But you know something?
Speaker: You have guys like Jamar Chase that every year for the last five years has averaged like three fantasy points in a week one. You know what I mean? like so there's It's easy to overreact. It's week one. If you took an if you if you lost this week.
Speaker: It is what it is. It sucks. If you lost because of Waddle, it is what it is. It sucks. Don't hit the panic button just yet. It's still week one.
Speaker: If I look at the consensus rankings of players around Jalen Waddell, one name that comes to mind is Tee Higgins. There was a little a bit of a disappointment with regards to Tee Higgins as well last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is consensus WR18 at a tough Houston defense. He's still out.
Speaker: outpaced. what waddle did this past week. Would you go with Waddle against Jacksonville or Tee Higgins at Houston? I will go Waterloo against Jacksonville. I think Houston, what we saw versus them. Yeah. Well, Mac, you're not a Waddle fan anyway, so that's kind of different. You can't do it.
Speaker: You can't do it. You can't do it. i don't know um um If I drafted him, I think I'm always of the opinion that you've got to let your stars play. in the first few weeks. If you listen, if.
Speaker: if If you – yeah. Listen, you guys, Wire Receiver 2, you guys finish this. Someone stick a sock in my mouth, please. He's there he's there. He is a he's all accounts. He is a very good wide receiver And I think he's well -ranked this with this week at wide receiver 17.
Speaker: So he's in my light. of This week. I wish I had much better options. but Yeah. That's Josh Allen. Bo Nix is not Josh Allen. I've never been a huge, as you guys know, and never been a huge Bo Nix fan. and I'm going the other way. I'm saying. he and and and Oh, yeah. Sorry. Okay. Yes, yes, yes, yes. first you're going Going into Houston, right? Yeah. that Josh Allen just just carved up that that defense.
Speaker: I mean... I think I'd much more prefer Burrow and Higgins. over jayden wall at 17 that's outrageous i would agree i would agree i'm a t i'm a t owner i'm a t higgins owner and i'm I have more trust in Teagans over Jalen Waddell. And as I was going to say.
Speaker: I really don't want anyone in that Denver offense right now. ah Like new play caller, David Blau. Just. Denver is where fantasy... predictability goes to die fine. Sean Payton's going to take over the play call and do these in a week two, and then we're all going to be free.
Speaker: We have a really tough schedule. so next week That was something that we didn't, I don't think we touched upon too much, but Denver has a really, really tough schedule, especially against tough defenses. so I'm going to be, it's definitely going to be something to keep an eye on. And like you mentioned, Jacksonville has a really good defense. so If he doesn't get going in week two, I'd i'd start getting really nervous with Waddle.
Speaker: for one of my reasons he was on my Do not draft. Yeah. What? Continue with the same vein there, Nak. I mean, you have Marvin Harrison Jr. who also had three targets. One catch, 433 yards.
Speaker: And had 8 .1 % target share. Michael Wilson had was at 19 % target share. So now he gets another tough matchup against Seattle, and he's already down to wide receiver 38 in consensus ranking for week two.
Speaker: Is that low enough? How are you feeling about him this week? I think it's perfectly ranked right now where where he is. I mean, look, I know we got the three targets, as we mentioned, one catch, 33 yards. but he looked He still played. He was there on 79 % of the snaps. like I have a hard time believing three targets is going to become the normal. the normal for him.
Speaker: He's a WR, like you said, 35, 38 in some places. So that's really in the wide receiver four. Um... you know for for talk where we're speaking about broad ropes before basically so He's not he's definitely not one of those guys who's a must -start in my lineups, but I mean <unk>m I'm definitely nervous if you're if you drafted him as your...
Speaker: You know, some people drafted him as high as a WR3. Maybe... the high -end w or low -end WR2, but... For that 100%, I'd be a little bit nervous, but I'm...
Speaker: i don't know i have a suspicion that i said can't continue it can't continue that way and this is for me it's his last year to really prove like if you're actually good at football or not So would you be starting him versus Seattle or would you be starting Stephon Diggs versus Dallas? Stephon Diggs had a nice first game.
Speaker: for Washington. I think this is a realistic starter sit. situation that some some owners have. Yeah, look, i'm going to go I think i'm going I would go Diggs at Dallas for me when it comes down to to uses that I trust right now, really. like Diggs saw nine targets in week one, and it was more than double any other commander.
Speaker: So that turned into four catches, 55 yards and a touchdown. I know Bonehead. um Bonehead penalty at the end of that, but i immediately seeing volume in the offense, scoring opportunities, you know, meanwhile.
Speaker: marvis harrison jr is really coming off like i said we set it three targets so it's not It's not really overconfident putting him into starting lineups, but I would be... I'd be more than okay putting digs in ah um in ah in a flex spot as well.
Speaker: I mean you saw what happened to the Cowboys defense last week as well. so Quickly, what concerns me mostly is the Kendrick Bourne aspect of all this, not only the Michael Wilson, but the fact that Kendrick Bourne.
Speaker: Had eight catches for 75 yards. Like that's. If it was just Wilson and McBride, I'd be okay with it. But the fact that Bourne in game one with a new team had that much production.
Speaker: I just think it's week one. It's week one. It's week one overreaction. If we see that again, that's where it really starts. I need to see consistency because it just gets such blown apart after week one and everyone starts, oh, no, I got to draw.
Speaker: There's no... You can freak out or overreact after one week, but I would definitely agree if that happens again. then there's definite cause for concern.
Speaker: and We're going to continue on here with um someone that was very unhappy with a certain player this week. He made a point of letting us know about it very often. It's Mr. Colston Loveland.
Speaker: who almost zeroes across the board. um roger i know you have them in um in some leagues as well i believe He caught zero passes on on two targets, but still had um an 87 % route share.
Speaker: And he gets a tough Minnesota matchup. um And Fantasy Pro still has him as the tight end, too. Are you nervous about that? or as a result or or buying the usage here. absolutely not nervous about colston loveland whatsoever if you look at his route share Last year in the first four games, he was at a 41 % route share.
Speaker: Game 1. You know, we're talking about overreaction or whatnot. He ran around on 87%. Of his rats. You want to have everyone including their mother, from this Chicago Bears offense. Like, whether it's Loveland, even Kalief Raymond had had some some some go at it.
Speaker: And the fact of the matter is Caleb also missed. loveland on an end zone target right so this game look it was only two current targets but it could have been a lot better than it was because Caleb missed. you know The few throws that he did miss, he missed them.
Speaker: We saw this with 11 last year, slow start. He ended up. having a mash game against the Bengals where he went, I think for two touchdowns and a game winning touchdown. And then obviously the last two games, the playoffs against the Packers and the Rams, I think Loveland went, I think he had almost 200 yards reception receiving.
Speaker: two touchdowns and almost like 15 catches. so Whoever has him, please hold because I made the mistake last year of being like, oh, this guy was drafted 10th overall. I'm still seeing Cole commit. getting a lot of action. There's all the other these other players like DJ Moore and Luther Burton as well. hold on to colston leveling even if he has a dud next next next week in terms of his ranking
Speaker: McBride is tied in one, Colson Loveland tied in two. It's a tough matchup. Minnesota has played Caleb quite well the last last two years, actually. Brian Flores, the pressure defense. I think that's going to be an interesting aspect for Caleb to to navigate around. I think Levin can be an outlet, a quick outlet for... for Caleb Williams, but I would still say maybe he's a tad bit. overrated in terms of his ranking he's above warren he's above craft that that's okay with me But, you know, some of the other guys we're going to talk about after, I would not necessarily put him. ah put him there but he's definitely at least in the top six to seven uh tight end ranks right now and again No need to panic about this guy. and ah A supreme talent and an amazing.
Speaker: offense, so i think I think it's a hold for sure. This is like the epitome of overreaction Monday is called Colston Loveland, everyone who's freaking out and and to everyone who.
Speaker: has owners that are really upset ah about Colston Loveland, try to buy a low. Try to go after him. yeah had to go Try to grab a trade. and and This is your opportunity to try to buy low at this opportunity with Loveland. Because I agree, Raj. um I want every share of this of this Bears offense, and I'm holding on to Loveland if I can, for sure.
Speaker: Yeah, totally. Um... Fab, your turn now. so Drake London. Drake Lennon, oh boy, what a game. what What a brutal game. between the falcons and the steelers london had four targets and two catches for 29 yards atlanta's passing game was absolutely terrible obviously cooper rush was starting over to a tango valoa and michael panics is still out London now gets Carolina, who just gave up 59 points. I believe it was the highest total of a week one ever.
Speaker: ah Fantasy Pros has London as the wide receiver 15. Are you nervous at all about Drake London, Fabio? Yes. yes You probably draft him as your wide receiver one.
Speaker: And the quarterback room is in shambles. and Yeah. You just don't know what to expect from one week to the next. i mean Yeah. All right, listen, one week one was Cooper Rush. They played a very good Pittsburgh defense, even though they were without Joey Porter Jr.
Speaker: He only threw it 22 times. I think half of those targets, I think, went to B. John Robinson or something. so There's a lot of mouths to feed. And there's a lot of passing volume within that offense right now. It's week one. And I think Kyle Pitts put up a dud too. Yes.
Speaker: So this this is affecting the entirety of the offense if you're tired of the pass catchers not named B. John Robinson. So yeah, I'm quite nervous right now. if i If I own Drake London, you would assume the better days are ahead?
Speaker: You would assume just because it can't get much worse? Also... Once they figure out. who's going to be starting a quarterback if it's Tua or Michael Penix. Listen to I see what you want about the guy. He does have a pretty good object That's a target the average depth of target that shouldn't bode well for Drake London and he has a fa He has an oblique injury. If you thought his arm strength was already weak, imagine how weak it is going to be with an oblique injury. He should not be playing.
Speaker: he's not There's no way he's playing this week there's no way playing this week. You just hope that eventually... Michael Penes Jr. does come back in time to save. Drake London's Season I was never high. I wasn't high on Drake London this year To be honest with you.
Speaker: And... this is a Big reason why. That wasn't high. I'm talking about look. That wasn't high. and as why respond i was I was high. I was i i thought... I think it was Raj who was higher on it. Check the tapes, Mac. Check the tapes. i't I thought that Kevin Stefanski of it all... and he's He's not looking like a great coach these days anyways. And even you know the fact that Tua was quite used to that offense. Look, i I mean, I said it last week, right? like There's no one who's more tethered to their the success success of their quarterback than Drake London and Michael Penix.
Speaker: London, when Pennix plays. It is at a WR8. top 10 wide receiver pace easily. When he's not there, yeah it's a disaster. and And, you know, what we saw was B. John Robbins had a 50. Three percent. Target share. that's that thats Yeah, I wasn't joking when I said half the target.
Speaker: Great for me. Yeah, exactly. I agree for the Bijon. If you own Bijon. You're getting all the volume. yeah can you sit him can you outright sit him No, you can't sit in me. Listen, if... No. Well, look, WR15, like...
Speaker: yeah yeah He's still going in the range of like guys like... Christian Watson. You can't sit in. Oh, but. but hold on a second knock i got a question for you would you start jalen wattle or We're Drake London this weekend.
Speaker: both. Man, like flip a coin. honestly Honestly, I agree with i don't with that. I don't like both plays like at all. i and just Flip a coin and hope for the best.
Speaker: Drake Leonard is both ranked way too high for me here. oh 15 is a little bit too high. Anyways, we're going to move on. And if you have Drake London, my condolences and apologies. um But we're going to move on to segment number two of this fantastic episode called Signal or Noise.
Speaker: And the other side of the big week one, which which piece of information here is real? Which big noises are actually... Legitimate. nack you you got you You got a nice one this week. good Jalen Coker, he saw nine targets, turned them into eight catches, 138 yards, two tutties.
Speaker: Mac, are you a cokehead? Sorry. and So now he gets a great matchup at Atlanta. And ah the fantasy pros have moved them up to wide receiver 33. Is that signal or noise? What is that?
Speaker: Wow, this is going to be more signal than than noise for me, man. like Obviously, eight catches, 138 yards, two touchdowns on nine targets is obviously like a ceiling game for for him. Like, I'm not obviously going to chase.
Speaker: that box score expecting it to be every week but Obviously, it it didn't come out of nowhere. over Over the last eight games, including the playoffs, he's averaged 16 PPR fantasy points per game.
Speaker: and he's been extremely efficient at 2 .3 yards per route run. So those numbers make me think that there's something sustainable beyond the um the two touchdowns. and now he gets a great matchup in atlanta and as long as his ankle checks out i know he was in a boot um ah today.
Speaker: who just for... more precaution but I'm starting in 100%. And that honestly, a wide receiver 33, I actually think. They're pretty close with with the with the ranking, but I'd i' bump them definitely a few a few spots over.
Speaker: Over Quinton Johnson. even like digs i'm i'm playing him way over digs like Maybe even McLaurin. I was going to say. You can bump him 10 spots up and you wouldn't have much time. We don't know what's going on in that offense. Who was the wide receiver that got all the points? Kalief Raymond too. Again, that's another overreaction for another conversation.
Speaker: Like Pittman, like I'm i'm starting him comfortably above all of those guys. Like this guy is a major alpha. and He's done it, like you said, the last eight games. so I don't think it's a fluke I have a question Um,
Speaker: So I think Coker, by the time this episode goes out. Waivers will be done. Coker was 61 % owned. in waivers, right? In one league, I have Ted McMillan, Todorov McMillan.
Speaker: And I also have the opportunity to get Jalen Coker. Nock, if you're a Ted McMillan owner, do you think it is worth it to also... Pick up. Jalen Coker. Like...
Speaker: Again, is it valuable to have both in the same team? This is becoming one of that like T. Higgins, Chase conversation almost. I know obviously not at the same kind of level.
Speaker: I don't know. it's it's Maybe you want them as insurance. And hopefully, like, if you're... if you I don't know. yeah your Your wide receiver room has got to be pretty legit to to add, I think.
Speaker: poker to that it's to that mix but It's it's the Chuba Hubba and and Jonathan Brooks of the wide receivers. for for the kind of yeah Kind of, kind of. You you should never shy a away of picking up a dynamite fantasy player just because you have another one of those players From the same team on your roster Because ah you can't, those are. Those are players that you can trade for something else.
Speaker: And if you have Jalen Coker, and if you you believe in him, and that's great. Take Ted McMillan, trade him for a running back, trade him for another wide receiver, lesser value, whatever, fine. at least you get something out of it and then All of a sudden your team does look better.
Speaker: Yeah, I'd agree. yeah I think that's that's ah that's a good point. And I think this is a great segue ah to our next. um signal or noise here so Bryce Young and Tyler sch Shuck Nak, you've got both. Bryce threw for 361 yards, three touchdowns, and scored 32 .5 points. Looked fantastic. Really happy to see Bryce finally have ah ah one of another one of his breakout games. Shucked through for 410 yards and three touchdowns and scored...
Speaker: 29 points. Bryce gets a tough Atlanta matchup and is ranked QB 22 for week two. Shuck gets an even tougher Baltimore matchup with Jesse Minter and company and is ranked QB 19 consensus. Which breakout are you actually buying?
Speaker: Yeah, I think. I think it's going to be Shuck a little bit more than than Bryce, even though, look, they were both impressive. And as you mentioned, he did put up, you know, 361 yards, three touchdowns and over 30 fantasy points. And look, it's exactly what you want to see from from Bryce Young, right? but We've also had a lot of big sample size of of Bryce Young, and I don't think I'm going to let...
Speaker: one monster game completely changed my evaluation. We've seen this happen in the past where he goes he goes crazy. I think I remember... two years ago against the giants where he had like five tds or was it last year That 5 PD game and everyone was like, oh, there's the breakout.
Speaker: Falcons. The Falcons game. Excuse me. ah So I don't know. if I think Shuck is... is Has a little bit more of my attention, more of that downfield throwing.
Speaker: They're really letting the letting him air it out. And if he's going to consistently push the ball down the field, he's going to give you all kinds of Um, you know passing volume and he's legitimate weekly super flex and 2qb 2qb starter He does have Baltimore this week, which is tougher. I feel like it's a tougher spot than Bryce. but I don't know. I think I'm buying more Tyler Shuck. Nak, don't you have Mayfield in in Bush League as well?
Speaker: I do. feel shock i will feel and And Bryce. And Bryce. so There's no consideration of just going with Shuck and Young and sitting Mayfield after last week's performance? I will... ah I will let you know that later. um and And just quickly, rest of season, same thing. Shuck over, Bryce. you're You're still not just for the next week, but rest rest of season as well.
Speaker: Yeah, for right now, I think he's he's ranked a little bit higher. I think I like the offense. um a little bit more as well. Maybe you wouldn't even get back Tyson. I mean, Olave went off completely last week as well, almost 200. 200 receiving yards.
Speaker: Again, I want to see more from Bryce. We saw it down the stretch last year from Shuck. He was like the QB, I think seven, the last like eight games of the, of the year. So we've seen a little bit more consistency, even in his rookie year.
Speaker: And like we said, Bryce, there's a bit more tape on him and I don't want to get... I don't want to get stirred by one big game because it it does tend to happen with them. so Give me a shot for right now. Yeah I agree with that.
Speaker: very Very fair. very fair fab ah Yeah, we're going to keep this train rolling. Raj, ah Bucky Irving, Kenny Gainwell. So Bucky gave you.
Speaker: 20 .3 fantasy points with seven catches, played about 61 .5 % of the snaps, gained well. Score two. Point eight. Fantasy points still play 46 % of the snaps They both get favorable matchups versus Cleveland this week.
Speaker: Signal or noise for bucking and did week one settle this backfield? Huge, huge signal. Obviously, we know how much of the injuries hurt Bucky Irving last year. I think he played maybe seven or eight games with that weird weird shoulder injury. I thought he looked very spry. I think i thought he looked great against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was an improved Cincinnati Bengals defense. um I think what's really really not concerning but really promising is the fact that it was a negative game script.
Speaker: for the buccaneers and we we rarely saw anything of kenny gainwell Nak, you saw obviously how the impact that Gainwell had with the Steelers last year. He was the Steelers MVP. I think he had almost 73 catches. And as you mentioned, Fab.
Speaker: 46 % of snaps. 39 % route share, one catch. three receiving yards, 15 rushing yards. And we saw with Bucky Irving, he was the main guy in passing situations, right? um Seven catches, 48 yards. Obviously, he had the rushing touchdown. So I think this is very promising. I think the Buccaneers...
Speaker: if and when they get themselves in positive game scripts that will showcase a better stat game for bucky irving um in one of my leagues i have irving as my i had drafted as my rb2 and kyron williams as my rb1
Speaker: I think there's an opportunity where Bucky Irving becomes my RB1 and Kyron Williams is my RB2. So I'm really happy with the the output. that This game was very, very encouraging because I know at the end of last year, there were a lot of question marks about Bucky Irving, but it seems like he's back into the way he was operating in his rookie season.
Speaker: which really catapulted him to like a top 10 running back status. So this was a very encouraging game. My most encouraging statistic, honestly, is that he caught all seven of his targets and then he had seven targets. yeah that's huge that's huge especially with the with Gainwell there in the backfield.
Speaker: Yeah, totally. One thing I'll just say quickly is. Even beat writers were surprised on how much the usage was because it wasn't tailored this way in camp. And everyone is kind of saying like.
Speaker: don't think it's going to be like this going forward. This was kind of like an anomaly game that he had so much. so many touches over Gainwell. so if anyone has gainwell i'd hang on to him and wait if not only for the obviously injury to Bucky, but i've I've read a lot where they were...
Speaker: even beat writers were surprised on how much the split was and how much Gainwell wasn't used. Yeah, for sure. i in week one i think when i think when i and just quickly on this when i think of gainwell's game last year with the Steelers. like Aaron Rodgers did not want to be hit at all.
Speaker: He wanted to get the ball out of his hands so quickly so i think that led to a lot of the gainable catches i We obviously don't see that with Baker Mayfield. He holds on to the ball. He tries to make every throw a hero a hero throw. so but i Yeah, I think your point is fair, Nak. So I have Gano in another league and and I'm definitely holding on to him. I don't want to overreact and just start dropping him right away because yeah he could be a nice PPR scam.
Speaker: play. um From one timeshare backfield into another, we're going to move on to Kyle Menungai. So, Nak, Menungai ran for 100 yards and a touchdown and added 24 yards through the air. He gets a tough Minnesota matchup, and Fantasy Pros has him as the RB35. Signal or noise from Menungai, and did Chicago show us a real week weekly roll?
Speaker: So i don't I want to go in between, whatever the in -between is on this. like i Look, I think he showed us enough that my that we're going to take him seriously. I'm not ready to call it a... you know Gibbs -Montgomery situation yet.
Speaker: Like you said, he did give us 100 rush yards and a touchdown and another 24 on two catches. However, The 61 came on one run on the touchdown run. in one of the yards on the touchdown run. It was late in the game where Swift had already done all the damage and he was kind of staying on the sideline.
Speaker: So... I'm going to pump the brakes a little bit. Minnesota is concerning this week. Tough matchup. RB25, you're getting into the range where... Like it's touchdown dependency, so it becomes a little bit of an issue. but Look.
Speaker: Ben Johnson, Haj. has obviously shown he's comfortable building an offense around multiple backs. And, you know, if Mnangai keeps continuing... meaningful touches alongside swift that like there's nothing there's not enough There'll be enough weekly value if they can split consistently.

Speaker: He gets a great matchup at Chicago, but he's only the QB 25 consensus according to Fantasy Pros. Brissette is QB 24 in a tough matchup against Seattle, where he did put up 21 fantasy points last year. are both too low.
Speaker: Are both too low? No, I think Bursette's properly ranked. Actually, Wentz... I would have went a little bit higher than Brissette. Not by much, though, from a... from a qb 25 like these are low -end quarterback twos now we're talking about right You look at the guys that are ranked around them.
Speaker: I just feel like the upside for... Wentz this week is really nice. Versus Chicago? It's like they're going to be playing catch up for the majority of the game. You would think. It seems as if Wentz has finally unlocked the one thing that not ah any other Minnesota Viking quarterback has been able to do since Sam Darnold, and that's just throw it to... to Justin Jefferson. um Which is nice to see the guy got his three tutties like he deserves
Speaker: So for me, that bodes pretty well. And the guy didn't look all that bad, to be honest with you, last week. So I kind of like... Carson Wentz this week versus Chicago. It's a good matchup. but You kind of want to... Ride the hot hand a little bit And again, you know, you hope for another shootout because that seems to be the.
Speaker: recipe that Ben Johnson wants this year for Chicago. Aren't you in a situation where you lost Sam Darnold for four weeks and you have to pitch? So like, let's say.
Speaker: i don't maybe you don't have Maybe you don't get to have Wentz, but would you go with Wentz or Malik Willis? Malik Willis is QB21 at San Francisco. This weekend. Uh...

Um, I like the, I still like the rushing upside with Malik Willis. um over Carson Wentz. I think that's why he's ranked slightly higher. um San Francisco defense is a defense not to be trifled with but at the same time I don't think you played all all that all that bad last week no i know it was versus a pretty soft matchup versus las vegas He did run for.
Speaker: 39 yards and a touchdown. He did throw for one INT. But you know something? Hopefully better days are ahead with Malik Willis and you kind of want him for the rushing upside. Carson Wentz will not give you any rushing upside. And if you're trying to chase the upside, my opinion.
Speaker: You might be better off with Malik Willis. But it's it's closer than than people might think, though. um It's closer than people might think. These are these are both low. Oh. low -end QB2 options.
Speaker: Malik Willis just gives you that rushing opportunity that... Carson once and some of the other guys over there might not give you. ah Okay, so just quickly, yes or no for both of you. In a 12 -team 2QB, are both starters?

Speaker: Fantasy pros. Has him as tight end six against Detroit. Are we buying Kincaid back as an every week tight end one?

Speaker: This is. It's going to cost people on the waiver wire, as you're probably listening this morning, it would probably cost you if you went to get Kincaid if you didn't draft him. And since it's ranking, i look, I do definitely have him over Kelsey. um Also, Isaiah Likely. Do you have Homer Loveland?
Speaker: This week? Over Loveland, no. No, I don't think so I think I'm still going to go with. I think I would still take Loveland. over Kincaid. I think he's perfectly ranked. We don't mind having him over LeBron. I may have him over Sam Laporta at five as well. i'd be I'd be willing to put Kincaid at... All right.
Speaker: Titan 5 this week and and roll the dice. It looked really good this week. That that is not crazy to me. Because Dalton Kincaid. Last year he was injured for quite a bit of games, but the efficiency on a per game basis was there And they said it this year, too, that they want to reduce his snap share to keep him healthy for the majority of the season. He only produced it enough. He only made 51 % of snaps last year.
Speaker: Well, he got injured. it was hurt He was hurt quite a bit. But the games when he played, he was good. The problem is that the guy can't stay on the field. When he's on the field, he's the go -to guy. he's He's the go -to guy like he when he's healthy And he's playing?
Speaker: He's a top 10 tight end. Top five. Possibly. I don't even think it's crazy to say that. Scott's a talent. He definitely has the talent. Yeah. So interesting stats. I mean, look.
Speaker: First game. But Bills played 11 personnel, so one running back, one tight end, 44 % of the time. Last year, they were at a 60 % rate. so To your point.
Speaker: Sounds like they're... we'll We'll see. we'll We'll see on that on that front. to me the yeah To me, the thing with Kincaid is... He's always been a part -time player. And that concerns me to spend a lot of fab on someone who's a part -time player.
Speaker: The only positive aspect about this is Joe Brady. I don't know if you guys remember, but I kept saying it. I think this is the year Josh Allen throws a lot more. Because I think Sean McDermott was more of the voice around the Bills that says, hey, let's let's run the football.
Speaker: And I think with Joe Brady, he's going to want to. potentially protect Josh Allen a little bit more. and I think they're going to throw the football a little a little more. So, Nak, despite the fact that you ruined my next... uh pick by mentioning him already, I would tend to agree with you.

Speaker: I'm okay with starting him and putting him ranked high, but I'm not okay with spending the fab it's going to cost to pick him up. If that makes sense. fair yes yeah and yeah i think that's a fair point because i'm also i'm just not a fan of spending a lot of fab on tight ends in general yeah especially when they're as deep as they are um Yeah.
Speaker: Great. So as we move along to Mr. aforementioned Isaiah Likely, Raj. He did see eight targets. He caught all eight for 78 yards, two touchdowns. He was second among tight ends in target share.
Speaker: um but only 15th in route share. Now he gets a tough Rams matchup and he's tight in eight. We've seen the week one explosion before. Are we buying it this time?
Speaker: look as a giants fan i have no choice but to buy it uh fantasy hat aside and i think the route share is very important to mention but he's still played uh 60 of the routes in in week one so and fab and i were texting during the game like
Speaker: There was a lot of Isaiah Likely. There was a lot of Theo Johnson. There was a lot of Patrick Ricard. It's going to be a lot of heavy personnel. He's going to have to find in his way in there anyways because they're probably going to play a lot of a lot of ah heavy personnel. 22 % of the time they had two tight ends in the game. so He's going to have to learn how to block, but I thought he played fantastic. You mentioned the stats, 8 for 78, really, really good chemistry over the middle with Dart. I don't have the stats, but I felt like he was the third down guy.
Speaker: He was he was he was They were calling it third and likely. Because it would always be more to him. I like that a lot. He had, sorry. and Sorry, Knack. Yeah, let's just, Knack just. Step aside talk the step side for a second. Let's get the big boys talking. I'm going to go to the bathroom real quick. Okay. I think seven of his targets, though, were on third down.

Speaker: You have to ride likely and see if it's real or not. You you you have a choice. and For all accounts. for all accounts. That game in 2024, he wasn't even the main guy in the offense. It was still, you know.
Speaker: he's He's literally the WR2 right now in this offense. I know Malachi Fields are happy about him. He's starting on the depth chart as WR2. but he's not there yet. OBJ is more of a role player. like I don't even know. i'm I'm not even sure about the stats, but I don't think he saw the field all that much.
Speaker: Likely right now is your WR2. That week one explosion a couple years ago could have been fluke, but this one... I think you do definitely have to ride. ride the hot hand.
Speaker: Yeah, just a last point, if I may. um It was one of my. Better calls in week one in Oxlund -Bush League. I had benched George Gill for Isaiah Likely. George Kittle was obviously coming back from the Achilles tear. We don't know what was going to be happening, all that stuff and everything. And Isaiah likely I'd end up.
