This episode is all about the VOICE and how to step into your power and use your voice with confidence.

I opened my Akashic Records and did a little Q+A for the pod today! I asked questions about the voice and received answered through channeled writing, and I share with you what I learned!

This is what I asked:

  1. Why do humans hate the sound of their voice?
  2. How can one claim their power so they can unlock their true voice?
  3. Is there something tangible and specific we can do to refine our voice?
  4. What do we do if we feel like what we have to say is not important or that no one would want to hear it?
  5. Should we speak to the pain points or the desires of our dream clients?

I also share about what I did to move through the journey of hating my voice from running out of the room if someone was to play back a recording of my voice, to finding my voice, and then launching this podcast! I share the actual tangible practices I did, that can help you too!

If you have ever wondered how to step more into the power of your voice, if you have wisdom to share and are looking for a confidence boost this episode is for you!

Introduction to the Podcast

00:00:01
Speaker
Hello, my friend. Welcome to the It's Happening For Me podcast. If you are obsessed with all things spirituality, personal growth and development, and living as your highest self, you are in the right place. I am your host, Alyssa, and I spent the majority of my teenage years and young 20s living totally out of climate. As I started to question my patterns and behaviors and actually got to know myself at the soul level, I realized that everything was happening for me.
00:00:30
Speaker
Now, as a spiritual life coach and human design guide, I am here to share my voice, personal stories, human design wisdom, and learn from incredible individuals living their purpose. Join me each week as we walk the spiral path of purpose together. I cannot wait to dive in.

Personal Insights and Experiences

00:00:55
Speaker
Hello, my friend. Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. I'm so happy you're here with me today, and I hope you had such a beautiful week. So, oh my gosh, you guys. I don't know about you, but like I said last week, this eclipse season has been insane. And when I was actually looking into my human design,
00:01:20
Speaker
And really looking at the astrology behind it, I realized that my incarnation cross, so my conscious sun and earth and unconscious sun and earth are all cardinal signs. And so I was like, oh my God, holy shit. I think that's why I'm being so affected right now. But anyways, I feel so much better this weekend than I did last weekend. As you know, I was super, super sick.
00:01:46
Speaker
And it was weird, like throughout the week it kind of continued to like feel pretty like not like myself. And I also at the same time had the busiest week at my corporate job that I've had in a long time. So I did three job fairs and we had incredible turnouts. We hired so many great new people. And it was just funny because it was like,
00:02:13
Speaker
on one end, I just feel like I was the thickest I've been in so long and then had to go back to work that week and have it be the busiest time that I've ever had in so long. But it was so good. It felt so productive and I just feel so valued from all of my coworkers, my boss. It just felt really good. It actually made me feel very
00:02:34
Speaker
Like anytime that I feel good in certain parts of my life, it makes me feel really good in my business too and all parts of my life.

Finding Your Authentic Voice

00:02:42
Speaker
So yeah, so today we are going to be talking all about the voice. And I really wanted to do a whole episode all about how we can start to feel comfortable tuning into our own authentic voice.
00:02:56
Speaker
And I know that I personally struggled for so long. I actually hated the sound of my voice. And what I did for this episode that I think is so special is I actually opened up my Akashic Records and I literally just channeled
00:03:14
Speaker
writing. Like what I personally found and what I'm discovering with my gifts is one of my hugest gifts is writing and like doing channeled writing. So I love opening the records and connecting with a specific being or just asking someone to come forward who can help me. In this case, I asked for someone to come forward that could help me really
00:03:38
Speaker
dive into the human experience all around the voice. And so someone who was in charge of communication and expression and someone who could really help me tap into like, why is it that as humans, a lot of us hate the sound of our voice? And how can we actually move through that? And so today's episode is going to be super juicy because I'm going to actually read you guys the questions that I asked the records. And I'm going to give you the answers that they gave me through channeled writing.
00:04:07
Speaker
And what's so cool with channeled writing is that when I do it through the Akashic Records is I'll ask the question. So I'll write the question on my Google Doc sheet, and then I'll speak the question out loud the moment you guys that I say the question out loud.
00:04:28
Speaker
the answers just start coming to me and I just start typing. It's the most fastest insane typing I can barely keep up. It's just sentence after sentence after paragraph of information. I'm like, oh my God, this is so cool. I know that it's not me. It's like a tidal wave of information just coming through. I thought it'd be really special to share with you guys the answers that they gave me on some of these juicy topics all around the voice.
00:04:58
Speaker
And then at the end of the episode, I am going to just kind of talk about some tangible things that I've personally done on my journey from being literally petrified of hearing my voice recorded back. If anybody ever were to record my voice and then try to play that back to me,
00:05:17
Speaker
I would literally run out of the room. I was like, I don't want to hear it. I used to hate being filmed. I used to hate being videoed when people would take videos. Anything that had to do with just me speaking.
00:05:34
Speaker
I absolutely hated it. And there's many different reasons for it, which I guess we can also get into as well, just to maybe see if there's some like something you can relate to. But yeah, and then I'll just kind of walk you through the tangible things that I did to like overcome this. So I think it's gonna be super helpful if you are someone who has
00:05:52
Speaker
ever struggled with just like accepting the way that your voice sounds or really stepping into your full power and using your voice, which we're going to get into in the questions that I asked the records, and maybe
00:06:06
Speaker
Maybe it's not even the sound. Maybe it's just like you have so many things that you want to share. Like you have so many things on your heart that you know can help other people, but you just maybe feel like it's not important enough or nobody cares. Or maybe it's even things that aren't even important, like things that you're just excited about that you want to talk about, like topics that you're super interested in. And maybe you've had it reflected back to you in your life from people that are close to you that it's not interesting. Nobody cares.
00:06:36
Speaker
When really like there's a whole world of people out there that are in your fractal line that are waiting to hear from you. And again, it doesn't always have to be about like teaching people things like unless you're a teacher archetype, but there's so many other ways like we can be entertainers, we can be researchers, we can be
00:06:56
Speaker
artists, like there's, you know, you can do poems, there's so many different ways that we can use our voice and express ourselves and have impact on others. Again, that doesn't necessarily have to be in the form of teaching, even though if you're like me, and you're a teacher at heart, there can be a lot of things holding you back from maybe just feeling like you're not worthy enough to teach, or maybe you don't know enough, maybe you're not skilled enough, whatever it is, we're gonna work through all of those.

Weekend Reflections and Self-Care

00:07:24
Speaker
So
00:07:25
Speaker
Let's just get into it. Okay, and then also I'm going to give a little life update at the end of this episode as well.
00:07:39
Speaker
Or actually, I'll just do it now. The only reason that I was going to do it at the end is because I'm like, oh my God, maybe nobody actually cares about my little life updates. But then it's like, hello, the whole point of this podcast is all about using our voice and just sharing what we want to share. So in the spirit of that, I'm just going to share with you right now.
00:08:01
Speaker
So like I said, last weekend, super sick. This week, super busy at work, but yet super productive and it felt really good. I felt very acknowledged. I felt like just like I did a great job. And then this weekend was such a great weekend. So my friend Carla came to San Diego with her family. They had like a little vacation in San Diego. So I was able to meet up with her, which was super fun.
00:08:26
Speaker
because she's also a spiritual entrepreneur. And so it's really fun to just like talk about everything with her because she's into all of this stuff that we're into. So that was super fun. We got takeout and then I met her at her hotel and we just like hit the hot tub and like talked for like three hours and it was just like so freaking soul nourishing and so fun. And then I went on two pretty big hikes this weekend. So Saturday,
00:08:57
Speaker
Oh, and my brother's in town. So tribe's in town. He had a wedding to go to on Saturday. So we, him, my mom, and our friend Michelle and all of the dogs did our normal Saturday hike that we've been doing instead of Fiesta Island. So we used to go to Fiesta Island Dog Beach every single Saturday.
00:09:17
Speaker
But we wanted to switch things up. So for the past couple of weeks, it's actually been like a month, an hour, a month and a half. We've been doing a hike instead, which is very close to Fiesta Island, but it's like in the canyons and the trails. So we've been doing that, which is a five mile hike. So that's been awesome.
00:09:35
Speaker
And it's pretty easy. Most of it's very flat, but then there are some very steep inclines towards the end, which really suck because I really noticed you guys that I didn't know that hiking meant vertical incline. So I'm actually realizing that I don't like hiking. I love walking. I love walking on flat ground. I love commuting with nature. I like going at my own pace.
00:09:58
Speaker
Dilly-dallying. I do not like high intensity, incline type of trails. So that's what I discovered this weekend, which I actually discovered today. So today we tried a new trail in Julian. So for those of you who don't live in California, Julian is like a really cute town up in the mountains. It's about like an hour north of, northeast of where I live.
00:10:23
Speaker
We made the drive up there. They're really known for their apple pies and apple cider. It's really huge here. It's a beautiful, beautiful area. We did a hike that was supposedly supposed to be moderate, which my mom's friend told us it was actually supposed to be easy beginner. I already knew not to really trust her that much because her idea of easy beginner is not easy beginner.
00:10:45
Speaker
So this time it was like a 4.8 mile hike. So we're like, okay, awesome. Right away when we started, it was incline. And I was like, girl, I thought this was supposed to be flat land, my girl. I thought this was supposed to be, you know, easy, friendly, child friendly, dog friendly. And again, online it did say it was intermediate and like friendly.
00:11:08
Speaker
but you guys it was not it was literally the whole time a stoop incline i was dying i was dragging behind all of them and i eventually just had to tell my brother throw me the car keys i'm going back i will meet you guys at the car because
00:11:23
Speaker
My body cannot right now. Okay, especially with how sick I was last week I've been like slowly getting over it pretty much every day I've still woken up with a headache still have had nausea I was like, there's no way I can do this and just in general like I don't even enjoy it and what I really learned is like I'm really learning and
00:11:42
Speaker
I'm very proud of myself that I'm listening to my body and I don't feel any shame or like, Oh my God, I should just suck it up and keep going. If everyone else is able to do it, I should be able to do it too. So I'm just going to keep going, especially with that undefined heart center, like the willpower. Sometimes we feel like we need to prove ourselves and prove that we're worthy. But I was like,
00:12:04
Speaker
fuck this. I'm turning around. So I very happily got the keys to the car, turned around. And it was funny because later as I was making my way down the mountain, like very slowly, like I said, dilly dallying, I took Peanut back with me. My mom actually had turned around and then like met up with me. So that was funny. Because she was the one giving me, she wasn't even giving me like grief about keyboard, but she was very much like,
00:12:27
Speaker
keep going, we can do this. And I was like, I don't need motivation right now, because this isn't something that I actually want to do. And I think that's something really important that we need to, or that we get to understand about ourselves is like, sometimes when we, if we really want to do something, then yes, we can push ourselves, we can tap into the grit. But if it's something that we're like, dude, I don't enjoy this, I don't want to do this, there's nothing in me that's like going to celebrate reaching the top of this mountain, if it's going to continuously be this like upper
00:12:57
Speaker
incline, I was like, I'm good with turning around. So I feel like that was a win. And then we went to get really yummy food at
00:13:06
Speaker
the Julian beer Co. So we got like pizza and, um,

The Power of Your Voice

00:13:12
Speaker
yeah. And like shared a sandwich, which it was really nice because since last weekend I've been super careful about what I've been eating. Like I haven't drank coffee again. Um, I haven't drank yet. Like I've only done like decaf and I've only been drinking teas cause I just didn't really want to reintroduce it into my system again yet. And I've been like eating very clean, like whole foods. So this was a real treat for me. Um,
00:13:36
Speaker
today to like eat some pizza and my stomach was able to handle it, which is really cool. I haven't been eating dairy either. So I've just been like trying to like keep out some key foods that I feel like I was low key addicted to, but also that always upset my stomach since I already like was, had them out of my system for those three days. I just kept going the whole week. So anyways, just wanted to give you that update. Let's get into this episode. So let's talk all about the voice. So I asked,
00:14:06
Speaker
Let me just move some things around. So I opened up my records and I asked for someone to come forward that is all about, like a master, if you will, an ascended master, all about communication and expression and using our voice.
00:14:22
Speaker
And so then I would write down a question on my Google Doc and then say it out loud. And then immediately would start getting channeled information that I just wrote down. So I'm going to read you guys the questions and then read you the answers. And I think this is going to be super helpful.
00:14:40
Speaker
Okay, so the first question I asked is, why do humans hate the sound of their voice? And this is the response I got. The voice carries a frequency. Each one of us has a very unique and special sound to our soul. The reason humans do not like their voice isn't because of the word hate that you use.
00:15:02
Speaker
but more they are very uncomfortable with their power. To really use one's voice in the tone and octave that is clear and present and from within, one needs to be in their power.
00:15:14
Speaker
Authentic sound comes from owning who you are and your power. So it is not that humans hate the sound, it's that they are not yet comfortable with their inner power. As they do the work and learn to let go of all of the false stories they believe about themselves, they will begin to stand more in their power. Their natural authentic voice will come out. It will be changed. It will not sound the exact same as they have been speaking.
00:15:40
Speaker
then they will learn to absolutely love their voice because it is them. It is truth. It is authentic. It is love. It is their soul communicating.
00:15:50
Speaker
So I thought that was super beautiful because it's so true. It's not that we hate the sound of our voice. It's that it's so uncomfortable. It's so cringy. Why is it so cringy? It's because if we're actually speaking from like the depths of our soul, it would have conviction. It would have power. It would be full of truth and love. And sometimes when we're not
00:16:16
Speaker
in a space where we feel powerful. I can speak for myself. Before I felt like a powerful person, before I felt like I knew myself and I had convictions and I had something to
00:16:34
Speaker
I guess like even think about myself, it was like so uncomfortable to hear my voice. It was so cringy. The other thing that I want to say too is like it's kind of interesting because whenever I channel something from the Akashic Records or whenever I do channeled writing, sometimes it comes out kind of weird. Like it doesn't really sound like how we would talk conversationally.
00:16:54
Speaker
Um, and like some of the words are kind of weird. And so I try to, like, as I'm reading it to you, I kind of try to make it sound like it makes sense structurally, like in a sentence. But if it sounds weird, it's because that's just kind of how it comes through. It's like, it doesn't really sound like myself speaking in a conversation. But isn't that interesting? It's that we're not even afraid or like hate how our voice sounds. It's more that we're just not comfortable yet being in our power and speaking from a powerful place.
00:17:22
Speaker
Okay, so let's move on to the second one.

Claiming and Refining Your Voice

00:17:24
Speaker
So I asked, how can one claim their power so that they can unlock their true voice? And this is what they said. This is the tale of the ages, the hero's journey, what each soul sets out to do when they choose to incarnate in this earthly realm. You see, one cannot be forced, pushed, or coerced into finding their power.
00:17:45
Speaker
That is where this new age spirituality or personal growth has gotten things a bit mixed up. Their journey of awakening truly has to come from within. Until one is ready, they will not even seek out the tools or teachers. It will just not resonate with their frequency. It's almost like the help they need is invisible.
00:18:07
Speaker
And that is on purpose. If one was to be initiated or forced from someone outside of themselves, it wouldn't be a true awakening. It would be very surface level, which is what is happening a lot today with access to too much information.
00:18:23
Speaker
Now, when one is ready to set out on this journey, they will begin to learn. They will begin to watch others leading the way. They will begin to seek out help or information or wisdom to start learning about their soul and the difference between just being a human and actually being a soul with a mission to complete in this lifetime.
00:18:44
Speaker
Once they begin to learn, it's like an awakening that will happen inside of them spontaneously. It again cannot be manufactured or forced or led by another person. When they begin to realize that their reality is comprised on their own beliefs and thoughts, and then they begin to question and deconstruct those thoughts, they will become more and more closer to their soul self. As they develop an intimate relationship to their soul,
00:19:11
Speaker
Rememberings will begin to appear and it's like one day they wake up and life is just different. They're awake. There is no going back once you are awake. Once you're awake, your priorities change. You begin to care for your body and health. You begin to look at the world and relationships differently and your voice begins to change. Your authentic voice
00:19:37
Speaker
becomes active when you're fully in your power and no longer relying on outside validation or advice from others on how to truly live your life. One could say that is ultimate freedom. And with freedom comes a responsibility to almost pay it forward and share what you have learned.
00:19:57
Speaker
We'll all go through different dark nights of the souls and experience different challenges as we overcome them. It's our duty to share and spread the wisdom, information, and help simply for the completion of our souls mission.
00:20:12
Speaker
not only for fame or financial gain. This is where most people get things really twisted and find it very difficult, challenging, and resistant to share because they have expectations of time and impact.
00:20:29
Speaker
Each soul has a different level of impact they're here to have. Not everyone is meant to be famous. Some souls are designed to help their community. And when we're putting expectations on ourselves and time frames, it keeps us stuck in this earthly 3D loop of disappointment. Remember what I said above, when souls aren't ready to learn or awaken, their teachers will literally be invincible.
00:20:56
Speaker
But once they spontaneously do awaken and they're in your fractal line, they're aligned with the same challenges that you've had. They will be looking for you and you as the teacher will appear. So do not be discouraged if things are going slow, especially if you identify as a light worker and are trying to put yourself out there. Do not try. There is no trying.
00:21:25
Speaker
Just do without expectation. Just do with the intention of service and in divine timing, your people will find you. This is why advertisements and strategies do not matter. Do you not have faith in the divine? Do you not trust the universe will give you exactly who needs to learn from you?
00:21:45
Speaker
Think about your own experiences. Did you find your teachers from ads? Probably not. You found them in some divine way and your people will find you too. In the meantime, create and show up and share what has helped you so that when they're ready, you are ready for them. The more you stand in your power and refine your voice, the clearer the light and call and channel will be for them to find you. Okay, so I love how that turned from like literally one question of
00:22:17
Speaker
how can we claim our power to unlock our true voice and then it really like was speaking to light workers and to particularly spiritual entrepreneurs and to how how to really like
00:22:31
Speaker
share and be of service from a place of love without expectations. I find this is where I get so caught up because it's like whenever I'm sharing or something and say like nothing is coming from it. Like say it's like, Oh, it's not converting to like people wanting readings or it's not converting to selling out a masterclass. Then it's like, Oh, I guess that
00:22:55
Speaker
they just didn't like what I have to say. Oh, I guess that no one really cares about what I'm here to share. But what the records are sharing with us is that no, it's like we need to keep sharing and keep coming from a place of love and service and don't even worry about the outcome.
00:23:15
Speaker
The outcome is inevitably going to happen and it's going to happen when those souls in our fractal lines are ready and appear and want to learn from us. Because again, we can't force anybody to want to do this like spiritual work or healing.
00:23:31
Speaker
That wouldn't even be an integrity with their journey. So it's really about just being there and this is our life's work. So doing our life's work for the sake of doing our life's work and then our people will appear when it's ready and when they need something on their journey from us that we can help them with just a little tiny part of their journey, which I thought was so beautiful.
00:23:53
Speaker
Okay, so this is question number three. Is there something tangible and specific we can do to refine our voice? And this is what they said. Speak. The only way to refine is to practice and to use your voice. Think of it like a journey. And when you look back, you will be able to hear the change in your own voice. You will be able to witness the power that you have gained and the embodiment of who you are will be so obvious and visible.
00:24:20
Speaker
I love that so much. So that was just very short and concise. Like, hey, that was like, literally the only answer was like, speak. The only way that we can really work on our voice and work on how we want to show up, how we want to express ourselves, what we like to talk about is from just doing it.
00:24:37
Speaker
and not even coming from a mental place of having to have everything so planned out and so many content ideas already ready to go. If you find that's holding yourself back, just start speaking and you will refine your voice as you go.
00:24:56
Speaker
And also I do want to say there is a place for content creation and planning. So like, it's like, do whatever fits best for your design. But if you're holding yourself back because you're trying to be perfect or you're trying to find the perfect message to say, just start speaking when you're inspired. Just start speaking when you have something that you want to share about. Instead of overthinking it, just start speaking and sharing and however you want to express yourself. And by practicing that over and over again, you're going to start to feel more comfortable with your voice.
00:25:24
Speaker
Okay, question number four. What do we do if we feel like what we have to say is not important or that no one would want to hear it? And this is what they said. Ask yourself, where is this coming from? Why do I feel like what I have to say is not important? You will be amazed at the stories you are holding onto from adults and caretakers in your life. Your voice is powerful and important.
00:25:52
Speaker
Think about all of the times you felt so alone, yet heard a story from another human being who was where you once were, and instantly you felt less alone and more hopeful.
00:26:04
Speaker
This really is not about you. This is about the people that you're here to help. The less you can worry about validation or others giving you praise, the more you can really share what is on your heart. If it's on your heart, it's helpful. If it's truthful, if it's necessary, those are all great gauges to use.
00:26:24
Speaker
Also be weary of exaggeration, gossip, or anything used to divide. Truth and love should be at the heart of your message and then you cannot go wrong. Do not fall into the traps of trying to be polarizing if you genuinely don't need to be. Love and truth really is not polarizing.
00:26:46
Speaker
Maybe that's not popular, but that's what someone needs to heal. Polarizing for the sake of just being polarizing and for attention is damaging and divisive.
00:26:59
Speaker
Okay. So I thought that was super interesting because a lot of times we hear like on, for example, YouTube, like for YouTube, the thumbnails, they try to put the most outrageous like, um, titles or thumbnails because they really want to drop people's attention. Like they really want to be like polarizing or people will try to be like really polarizing on podcasts.
00:27:20
Speaker
because they know it's clickbait, you know, like they want the views, they want to, they feel like they need to be polarizing. I've heard people speak on podcasts that are creators or, um,
00:27:31
Speaker
or in just different fields that have said that they feel really bad about almost selling themselves out and almost selling their souls out because they were speaking about what they thought they needed to speak about to be more popular and what they thought the people wanted to hear. But guess what, you guys? We're not here to give the people what they want to hear. As soul,
00:27:55
Speaker
Lightworkers, sole entrepreneurs, sole aligned business owners, leaders, we are here to heal. We are here to help guide the collective towards healing and love and truth. We are not giving them what they want to hear. We're not giving them gossip. We're not giving them polarizing, clickable, nervous system, dysregulated type of topics. We're here to give them truth.
00:28:22
Speaker
Love. Hope. We're here to share how we overcame the things that we've overcame. We're here to make people feel better. And to people who are addicted to drama, that might seem boring. That might seem...
00:28:37
Speaker
like the less interesting thing to click on. But again, we're not here to be famous. We're here to help the people that need to help us. And so if you ever were given the advice to like be more polarizing or just like say the crazy thing, like even like say the spicy thing that people don't want to hear. It's like, okay, like see the truth. Like you can see the truth of your experience and like don't hold anything back and don't try to be like cookie cutter or perfectionist, but also like you don't need to be
00:29:09
Speaker
don't fall in the trap of trying to be clicky or polarizing. If you don't need to be polarizing, you don't need to be polarizing. If you're doing that only for the sake of attention, that's not coming from a truly aligned place of service and of actually wanting to help people. If anything on your message is trying to be polarizing for the sake of polarizing and it's actually
00:29:30
Speaker
causing other people to feel bad about themselves or to cause division or to cause divide, that's not really helpful for anybody. So it's more like, how can you share your message from truly a heart centered place that is rooted in love and truth and it can be as spicy as you want.
00:29:49
Speaker
without just the sake of trying to be more polarizing. Does that make sense? I hope that makes sense. It made a lot of sense to me because it's like we're not here to play any games. Like we're not here to, I mean of course
00:30:04
Speaker
I know that a lot of people want to make a big impact and they want people to find them, but not from the sake of like falling in the trap of like selling your soul to like just get clickbait, if you know what I'm saying. Okay. So I just thought that was like a super cute, like good little point. Okay. So let's move on to the next question. Number five, should we speak to the pain points or the desires of our dream clients?
00:30:28
Speaker
And I'm sorry guys, I know this was all about the voice, but then as it started kind of going in the direction of like speaking to light workers and to like spiritual entrepreneurs, I was like, we're already on the roll. So let's actually start talking about this, like if we're business owners. So I wanted, if we're coaches, healers, um, anyone who is here to a light worker to help others, even if you're not yet there, if you want to step into it, this question can really help us.

Role of Coaches and Healers

00:30:51
Speaker
So again,
00:30:52
Speaker
I said, should we speak to the pain points or the desires of our dream clients? And this is what they said. Speak about what is on your heart. Again, there does not need to be a strategy to get something from someone.
00:31:05
Speaker
You genuinely have wisdom and love to share, so speak about the full spectrum of your experience. Speak about the lows and speak about how you moved through them. Speak to the desires. Speak to holding the vision of beauty of what life can be like when we're able to shed the layers and the masks and the false stories. Hope is a good thing to inspire in others. But also have the benefit of the doubt. The people that you want to help are not helpless.
00:31:34
Speaker
They are not dumb. They are not incapable. Think of the people you want to help as on the same equal level as you. They just need some assistance in a specific area of life that you're able to help with. They aren't helpless, so you do not need to feel as if you need to save anyone. That's impossible anyway. Only each of us can save ourselves. That should take some pressure off of you.
00:32:02
Speaker
So I really love this. Um, I really, really love this because, um, I know that it's out there everywhere. Like, you know, I've taken so many different business courses. I've worked with business coaches. Some people say speak to the pain points, like really drill it into like how they're hurting. And then some people like are like only speak to the desires, like speak to the highest vision of what you want for your clients. And it's like,
00:32:30
Speaker
It's very manipulative, in my opinion, to only speak to the pain points of somebody because it's like,
00:32:41
Speaker
And then also like speaking as if you have the solution to everything that can completely save their lives. That is kind of a form of manipulation because let's be honest, nothing that you offer, like any healing, any coaching that you have is going to help someone with a little piece of their journey. Okay. You are not going to save somebody's life. You're not going to completely change their life, be their savior, be their healer. That's not what we're here to do. And,
00:33:09
Speaker
That's a lot of pressure that you're gonna put on yourself if you think you're gonna be doing that for people and I know it's very easy to fall in that trap and that's why sometimes as healers and coaches we can feel insecure like oh my god what if I can't provide a total transformation for my client and the thing is you're not supposed to offer a total transformation and totally change somebody's life. It's like
00:33:33
Speaker
You're here to be a beautiful part of their journey. You're here to be a little beautiful stop on their journey, of their awakening, of their healing, of their fullest expansion. And they're really taking what they're learning from you, and they're doing the internal work anyways. So we're not, as healers and coaches, actually
00:33:56
Speaker
healing the person, they're healing themselves from the guidance, from the insight, from the wisdom, from the knowledge, from the modalities that we're doing to help them and to assist them along the way. So I really love this because the answer to this question, because it really does when you think of the people that you are here to help and that you're calling in. It's like they really are
00:34:26
Speaker
First of all, if we think about the spiritual law of one, we are all the same. We are all
00:34:35
Speaker
little fragments of God, like all of us. And so there really is no hierarchy of someone being like on a pedestal. And a lot of times we do that, we put coaches, healers on pedestals when really we're all just on this like equal playing level field. And we all have something very specific, a nice little flavor that we can help each other with. Like if you think about yourself, for example, it's not like you've only had one coach or one healer in your life and now you're completely healed, you're completely
00:35:03
Speaker
Like 100%, you're never gonna have any challenges, you're never gonna have any obstacles, and it was only one modality and you're obsessed with it and that's it. Like no, like how many things have we really used to put into our tool belts, right? There's so many things. There's quantum healing, there's tarot, there's oracle cards, there's yoga, there's human design, gene keys, there is like nutrition,
00:35:30
Speaker
herbalists, like there's crystals, there's so many different things. There's business coaches, there's healers, there's like mentors, Akashic Records, right? There's so many different things. We've learned, you guys, from so many different people. We've even learned from our peers. We've even learned from our family and our friends. So it's like, obviously if we have had help from all of these different people,
00:36:00
Speaker
We would never put it in the power of just one of those people to completely change our lives and to save us. That's just not how it works. That's unrealistic. That's giving our power away. That's pedestalizing people. Is that a word? Pedestalizing. That's putting someone on a pedestal.
00:36:16
Speaker
Usually, that never works out. Those types of relationships don't work out. Why do we do that to ourselves as coaches and healers? Why do we think we're going to be this end-all, be-all, completely transform our clients?
00:36:31
Speaker
We're again here to inspire and to motivate and to share something new with them. And even if they get one little breadcrumb from us, that one little breadcrumb is going to be a thread on their journey that's just going to keep unraveling them to the essence of who they are and to be their fullest expressions. So I really love that answer, whereas there is no strategy. We don't need to only talk to their pain points. We also don't only need to talk to the good things.
00:36:59
Speaker
We can let people know through our own experiences, like, hey, I've been there. I've felt the things that you've felt.
00:37:07
Speaker
through using our voice and through using our expression, standing in our power, we can authentically share the places that we've been so that they can recognize themselves in that part of our journey. And so they can know, like, we understand them. Like, I relate to you. I would love to learn from somebody who's been exactly where I've been. I don't really feel called to learn from someone who has a completely different life experience.
00:37:31
Speaker
that has never gone through the things that I've gone through and has gone through a lot of different struggles that I don't relate to. Like that doesn't help me. So the more that we can use our voice and authentically share the real challenges that we've been through and how we've navigated them, you know, we also
00:37:50
Speaker
want to be careful of sharing. There's this really beautiful thing that I learned in a program I took before, and I don't remember who said this, but they learned it from someone where it's like you want to share from the scar. You want to share the story from the scar that you have. You don't want to share it from the open wound.
00:38:09
Speaker
If you're still currently going through something very difficult, very challenging, and it's very emotional to you still, then obviously you wouldn't share that yet. I mean, you can do whatever you want. You could share pieces of it, but it's like we share from the scars. We shared from when we've overcame that thing. Now we feel more comfortable to share it. We're more comfortable to share
00:38:35
Speaker
what we did to overcome it, especially as leaders. It's like we're being relatable, we're sharing with others what we're going through, but we're also kind of giving them a way out of it. Because sometimes when you share from the open wound, it can almost be like, almost like, I don't want to know if the word is like trauma dumping, but it's almost like if you are still so emotional about it,
00:39:03
Speaker
It might be hard for you to share it in a place that's empowering because at the end of the day, we want to be empowering as leaders and we're here to really help people move forward. But again, everyone can use their intuition and know what do you feel comfortable sharing? And maybe you're going through something at the current moment and it feels really good to share about it, then do that.
00:39:24
Speaker
But yeah, we're really here to share the things that we've been through to really create that connection with others. What's so fascinating to you guys is I always find that when I do readings like in the same week,
00:39:40
Speaker
say I do a couple readings in the same week, the themes are always the same. And it's so crazy. Like, say if I do three readings one weekend, I found a really good rhythm for myself with the remote readings. So that's what I'm offering right now for Akashic Records. If you're interested in one, I'll put all the links in the show notes too.
00:40:01
Speaker
to book one. But essentially with the remote readings, I'm tapping in in my own time and space and connecting to your records, answering your questions for you, and then sending you a 30 minute voice note within three business days. And what I found is that I really love scheduling them on Sundays or batching them. And I find that
00:40:23
Speaker
people are going through the exact same situations and it's situations that they a lot of times think that they're alone in and it's like oh my god if you just knew like it's so crazy it's like if you just knew that you're not the only one going through this in fact I'm doing two other readings of people are going through the exact same thing
00:40:43
Speaker
how crazy is that? And that is not a coincidence. I think that happens all the time when we're doing spiritual work.

Exercises for Voice Confidence

00:40:49
Speaker
It's like, we're going to be attracting certain themes, like certain things are going to be coming up. And I'm curious if you find that in your work as well, that it's like, you know, when you have a certain clients, like one week, maybe a lot of people are going through the same stuff. And then the next week, the next week, we're all connected, you guys, we're all connected. We are one, we are each other. And so I thought that was very beautiful to share
00:41:13
Speaker
you know, people's pain points and their desires, but through the lens of our own story. So it's not manipulative. It's just literally saying like, Oh, I've been exactly where you've been. This is how I got through it. So to me, that feels like very beautiful and very, very connected to source. And that's all I asked them. So that is all I asked them. And I'm
00:41:40
Speaker
wondering if how you thought with those, like how does that feel? Does that make sense? For me, it feels really good. Makes a lot of sense. And now I'm going to share with you just some tools of what I use to honestly get over the fear of hearing my own voice and how I started creating the podcast. So for me, like I said,
00:42:05
Speaker
I used to hate the way that my voice sounded. I used to hate the way that I looked on camera. So before COVID happened in 2020, I never FaceTimed. I never FaceTimed my friends, wouldn't even FaceTime my boyfriend, my mom, no one. I just didn't use it. I never used Zoom. I just hated it. I hated being on video.
00:42:27
Speaker
the pandemic happened and we had to start using Zoom for work. So I started using Zoom for work and at the same time I was doing my own work, doing my own inner confidence work, doing my own, like on my own spiritual journey, honestly, and just like self-love journey. And what happened for me, a major shift was I saw myself, I had to like pull up footage one day of me
00:42:57
Speaker
When I was still working in the service centers, I had to pull up footage of me and watch back an oil change that we did. I was looking at myself and I was like, oh my God, she's so pretty. She's so graceful. I love the way she walks. I love her mannerisms. I love the way she talks.
00:43:14
Speaker
And that's when I really knew that something in me shifted. Like I had an awakening. That's after I had a spiritual awakening, but now I was seeing myself through God's eyes and it's something that I cannot explain. But all of a sudden I really liked like watching myself. I was like, Oh my God, like she's so precious. Like.
00:43:33
Speaker
She is so cute and just so freaking precious. I love her. I love how she carries herself. And so that's when I first identified that. So what I would recommend is, and the reason I say that is because whenever we try to film ourselves, right? Whenever we try to like go start a video, talk in front of a camera, for some reason we become completely unnatural. Like we don't talk the same. We aren't just like being observed. So
00:44:00
Speaker
If you can ever find a way to just observe yourself, like have your partner, maybe a best friend, maybe your mom, brother, sister, tell them that you want to do this.
00:44:11
Speaker
experiment where you want to just start observing yourself. So ask them to like start videotaping or like taking your picture more often and like sometimes just ask them to just like start recording and if they can record you without you knowing they're recording and then later you watch it back, see how you feel. Like see if you still actually feel really cringy about yourself or see if you're like, oh my god, like that's funny or she's so cute or if you can find nice things to say about yourself and the more nice things that you can say about yourself,
00:44:42
Speaker
the more you're going to start being okay with looking at how you look and sound without knowing that you're on camera. Because again, when we know that we're going on camera and speaking, our voice changes. It's not natural anymore. That's the first thing I did was really notice that. Then when I knew that I wanted to start a podcast,
00:45:04
Speaker
What I did, you guys, is I got my voice notes on my phone, my voice recorder, and I would just start recording myself talking. And I would just pick a topic that I was interested in and just pretend like I was teaching somebody the topic. This is, again, because I really have the teacher archetype. So for me, this felt really good.
00:45:21
Speaker
Maybe if you don't want to be a teacher or teach a certain subject, just start talking about something that you're interested in. Or imagine that you're talking to your boss and you have a really great idea of this new thing you want to implement and just start talking to them. Or imagine that you're training someone at work and you walk them through a day of what it's like to be on the job and just start talking and teaching them.
00:45:45
Speaker
anything that you can think of or if you really love a topic and you're really passionate about it, imagine yourself just explaining this topic to someone for like five minutes and just let yourself talk and then listen to it back. So start letting yourself just talk, listening to it back and just see how it feels. And then if you are someone who wants to use your voice to either create videos on YouTube or to create a podcast or to like
00:46:07
Speaker
do Instagram Lives, TikTok, whatever, start thinking of content ideas that you would want to talk about. And again, just recording them. Or any time that you're, if that doesn't work for you, if you don't like to think of ideas ahead of time, any time, this is a really good point that I actually learned from Sadi Simone, is that the muse, and this isn't what he said, but this just came through because of something I learned from him. But it's like, the muse will come
00:46:36
Speaker
When she comes like inspiration strikes and them uses their Going your notes on your phone your notes app and just start writing down bullet points of like ideas that you have of something you want to

Starting Your Own Podcast

00:46:48
Speaker
talk about Because if you try to just sit down from personal experience if I try to just sit down and be like, okay I'm going to
00:46:55
Speaker
create content now. It's like the muse isn't there. There's no inspiration. Nothing's going to come through, but I can pull out my notes and I have so many ideas on there from when the muse hit earlier in the week and I can create content from that. So really have like a notes app of where you write ideas down. And then when you want to practice on your voice, I did this one while I was driving because it took a lot of pressure off of me like sitting there and being like, Oh my God, like I'm only focusing on my voice.
00:47:21
Speaker
For some reason, me driving, commuting to work, doing an hour-long commute, I felt more relaxed. I was in my car. I was by myself. It felt private. So I would just pull out my phone and just start recording, just start talking to myself and noticing how I sound. And I did that a lot. I honestly had created so many podcast episodes probably just on my phone, little silly idea ones that were short.
00:47:47
Speaker
before I actually got the confidence to start doing the podcast. And then when I did my podcast, I probably redid my first episode, maybe like two times, two or three times. And I started with like an outline of like what I wanted to talk about. And now I've gotten to the point where
00:48:04
Speaker
when I do these episodes, I don't even really edit them. Like I just put in the intro, the outro music and I know that there are imperfections. I know that there's times where I might have to pause it really fast because maybe like George is going into the kitchen and he's like making food or just something loud that I'm like, oh, I need like peace, you know, or maybe for some reason I have to stop or whatever or something, pause it. I know there are imperfections
00:48:34
Speaker
But what works for me, and to be sustainable to do this every single week, is to let go of the imperfection. So I really don't care. And I hope that it doesn't dissolve the quality of my podcast. I hope that it doesn't
00:48:51
Speaker
make it uncomfortable for people to listen to, but I feel like it's fine. If I was to be so particular and so perfectionist mode on myself and try to get out all of the likes, try to edit out all of the pauses or all of the little rants that I go on, I feel like I would be here for a long time and I would lose the joy of it. I truly have joy of just pressing record, having an idea of what I want to talk about, and then just start talking.
00:49:20
Speaker
So that has really helped me in long-term sustainability to keep going because the voice is only going to get better. And I know that these are going to be the shittiest episodes that I've ever done because it's only going to get better with time. And so really allowing myself to just be okay with that has really helped. So again, if you want to start a podcast, if you want to do Instagram Lives, if you want to
00:49:45
Speaker
do YouTube. Find what works for you. See if you're someone that needs to have an outline. See if you're someone that can just speak and just speak on a certain topic. And you're never going to know until you practice. So just start doing it. Just start recording the episodes. You don't have to post them yet. Just start creating the YouTube videos. You don't have to upload them yet, but just start getting the practice, the fuel for it. And then
00:50:09
Speaker
Once you're ready, just release it. And you're going to know when you're ready. It feels like you're not ready, but I would honestly pick a date and try to stick to that date because otherwise we can make up excuses and just keep pushing it back. I still had to push my launch date back a bit, but then eventually I just did it.
00:50:29
Speaker
that was it. And then it just becomes simple. And then you can literally just share whatever you want to share. And you don't feel like you have to have a filter. You don't feel like you have to worry about how people are going to perceive it. Because trust me, that was a big one for me too, was wearing like, oh my God, I said this this way to this specific person I'm talking to, but what if someone perceives it wrong? What if they perceive me and it's hurtful or it's the wrong information or it doesn't make sense or
00:50:56
Speaker
I sound stupid or I sound however they want to judge me. And it's like.
00:51:01
Speaker
people are going to perceive us how they perceive us. We cannot worry about that. We cannot let that consume us. Otherwise we won't ever put anything out there. So it's like, I just hope that I'm speaking. I know I'm speaking from my heart and I know that I'm, you know, trying to come from a truthful, loving place. And hopefully this just resonates with whoever it resonates with. And it'll be however long or however short it wants to be. If someone doesn't want to listen this long, they can end it at any time. The person who wants to listen will listen.
00:51:30
Speaker
So I hope that was helpful. That is my little episode to you guys on The Voice, and I hope you enjoyed the answers that I got from the Akashic Records as much as I did. I feel like that was really powerful and makes a lot of sense.
00:51:46
Speaker
And yeah, just remember that we're building these bodies of work. Oh, it's 50-55 on the clock. We're building these bodies of work for the long-term game. We're here to positively influence the collective and to help people feel better and to help people heal and to help people
00:52:06
Speaker
move from suffering to joy and just feel less alone and more loved. And so the more that we can just be ourselves and just be our authentic self and just be like, I guess this is me. I guess some people are going to like it or not.

Conclusion and Encouragement

00:52:23
Speaker
And remember to not try to be polarizing just to be polarizing. Maybe what you have to say is truthful and from a loving place and it is polarizing. Then say it. That's good. Um,
00:52:36
Speaker
But yeah, if it's just for the sake of that and attention, then we know that it's not good. It's not in the highest. Good for everybody. Anyways, I hope this was a great episode for you guys.
