We are two sisters who have loved the show for 15 years and wanted to go back and watch from the beginning. Hey, everybody. My name is Jessica. And I'm Sadie. And we have a new podcast that we are releasing called The Amazing Rewatch. And what this podcast is is we are going to go back starting at season one of The Amazing Race and watch all the episodes, all the seasons, and talk about what happens and recap and tell you our thoughts. Yeah, so each episode you can hear what our thoughts and opinions are on choices that racers make and

As we go along, we'll keep track of all the countries they go to and which ones they repeat over the years. And by the end of it, we'll have a big long list of all the countries and all the places they've been to. But with 34 or five seasons now, it's gonna be a long list. It might take us a few years to get through all of the seasons, but we're really excited because we really love the show. We've loved it since we first started watching back in

about 2008 and we got into the show because our cousin was watching it and he bought some of the seasons on DVD and let us borrow it and we would watch them together and we just like fell in love because we both love traveling we both love history and geography and learning about the different cultures of different places and people so it was right up our alley. kind of forgot everything that has happened. So when we say this is the Amazing Race rewatch, we probably have seen a lot of these old seasons, but we don't quite remember all the details and all the racers and everybody who's won or not won and things like that. So we've seen it and we have some feedback and some insight, but we also are kind of watching it for the first time a little bit again ourselves.

Yeah, it almost seems like we're watching it with fresh eyes and there are some seasons that I don't think I've seen. I've seen most of them, maybe four that I missed when I was in college or something, but we've seen most of the seasons and we're really excited to go and recap them.

We just wanted to introduce ourselves a little bit. Like I said, my name is Jessica. I am married to my husband Jeff and I have two kids, two little girls. They are seven and four right now. And I work from home as a travel agent, which is totally fitting. I love to travel and like to go on adventures.

And like I said, my name is Sadie. I am in a kind of a different field of work. I work at a school district in the nutrition department, but I'm also a big fan of traveling and geography and history. It's something that me and Jessica have always kind of had the same interest in. We always play games and quiz each other on things like that. So we're sisters, by the way. Did we say that? Jessica is my older sister. She is two years older than me.

We have been wanting to be on the show for a long time, but we have kids and jobs. It makes it hard, but maybe someday. And I also have a child.

we saw the old seasons come on streaming services. And so we're like, yeah, we're like, Oh, so let's, let's start rewatching them. And then Jessica was looking for a podcast that was a rewatch podcast of the amazing race all the way back to the old seasons. There's obviously a lot of amazing race recap podcasts, but not necessarily rewatch.

A lot of former racers will like recap their season or more recent seasons. And I thought for sure that there would be something out there that was somebody started from the older seasons, but I couldn't find anything. So I called Sadie and I said we need to do this. Yeah, so instead of just watching the shows by ourselves at home alone, we decided to do it with you guys. And that's kind of where we came up with the idea.

But like we said, we started recording these quite a while ago. And like we said, we have children and jobs and relationships. And so it's taken us a while to get this released.

a couple of times, started businesses, closed businesses. It's been a wild couple of years, that's for sure. The reason why we say this is because there are some references in some of our episodes where we say, oh this happened 20 years ago today.

but now it's like 22 years ago. When you listen to it, that's not going to be the case. So keep that in mind. We tried really hard to get them out, but you know, life happens. And we're doing this by ourselves. We're just at home recording, learning how to edit everything by ourselves. So it's been, you know, kind of a process and learning how to do this. But after we get season one released, we are going to

know more what we're doing and it should be smooth sailing from there and I think what we're gonna do is probably release the first half of the season all at once because we know that people don't want to watch one episode at a time. This is like a really binge-able show that you want to watch a few episodes in a row so we'll release six episodes and then two weeks later maybe release the second six because most of the seasons have about 12 or 13 episodes.
