Whilst we ended Thursday Night's match with Hofflein with five teenagers on the pitch, one teenager that I would like to have no hesitation in putting my own first 11 is regular daily Tottenham podcaster Oliver Casabi. He is here with me to talk about all the positives from last night's match, and Oli, I'm not allowing any negatives to creep into this podcast today. We're going to keep it upbeat. We'll go through the match in detail in a minute, but as Spurs fans, we really do have to just take the win, don't we? And just try and enjoy it, yeah?

And I think Davies in particular headed a lot of stuff. um He was quite physical cool and he was actually all the way through the match.

Yeah, and Bentoncore, although he's obviously he's rusty and he hasn't hit the heights of where he needs a few games to get back into it, of course he does, um he's he's ah equally a vocal player and he was helping Bergewell I've fought quite a lot.

So a match which we had to get something out of in order to stay in the race is just said Ollie for a top eight position, Spurs won three two aways with goals from Madison and Sunny in the first half. Hoffenheim coming back to score in the second half though through stack before Sunny extended our lead to 3-1 on 77 minutes.

Half of mine, and obviously our tiredness, half of mine pushed ahead ah hard in the second half, whilst the Spurs players really struggled with tiredness and pulling a second go back by substitute Moqwa on 88 minutes to make it the customary, uncomfortable last few minutes for any Spurs fan.

he talked about beef previously him but being a bit of a luxury sometimes if he's not given anything to a match and I think that when we sat back yes we we dropped deeper a little bit anyway and obviously tiredness and his real backs against the wall stuff and I'm not doubting that you know he chases everything mentality wise he's quite strong and really wants to do well for the team but unless he's on the front foot he doesn't really do anything much in the game busy at all really ah you know front foot first half bang that run he made and his finish fantastic and that's what he's all about confidence and and front foot stuff but when he's put back on the back foot and has to do a bit of defending deep um he's perhaps not the best player and he would have been taken off i think but anyway you might

Mate, what was the ref doing for the penalty? For those who didn't see the match, Austin got penalised for a foul on the Hoffmann player. A cross came in, he went for the punch, he got something on it, um which is good. He's simply in the ball with with his with his fist. um Is that a case of too many red bulls before the match for the referee, Ollie?

ah I don't really mind him getting it wrong in real time because it it was quite difficult to judge. But he was stood at the monitor for ages looking at the same replay.

Yeah, I think so. But then again, if you look in hindsight, I think it was as possibly his first European match as well. And the rest of the match, he wasn't throwing cards left, right and center. I think he, yeah, I think early doors, he did, if I remember rightly, did penalize the center back of Hoffenheim for a pole, which was probably a little bit early, but then he probably thought, actually, you've done that a little bit early.
