Before we go into what your thoughts were on the match mate, I'll quickly do a a quick review on the first half in particular. um We obviously went into the match with atrocious form and once I really shouldn't have expected the performance and outcome by now, the the few days since the Arsenal match had kind of refreshed my appetite a bit. Again, I was numb and like I'm not sure what happens to me.

Well, off looking at the lineup at face value, I thought that we'd have Gray and Bergrau in midfield, but it looked like we were playing three centre backs and Porro was a sort of right winger, which moved Koulousevski into midfield.

really crappy defending as we've discussed in a minute by Dragosan but and that wasn't good. um Just like the Arsenal match those who didn't see the match just the result with us losing 3-2 it will look close to the bystander but it was a performance that was devoid of character and will best be described in one word as disgusting.

ah Like you said Ali, of a slightly revised team structure, so Ben Davies back in central defence, partnering Dragison with Gray pushed forward into midfield, but it didn't, it wasn't quite there. um I didn't quite understand it.

A change instructor kind of saw us play with a back three at times while I was changing to a back five when in defence. That's the only way I could sort of kind of describe it.

um It was pretty evident from the outset, it wasn't really working and Everton exposed holes in in behind and in central areas as well. When they were quick in transition, causing issues and that obviously led to one of the goals as well. 3-0 down by half time, the players seemed unfortunately nowhere near the intensity they should have been against a club that are below us, and boy are accounts not much behind, but they're in a relegation scrap as obviously we are now as well.

it didn't even seem that some of the players wanted to compete. The first goal scorer is Don McCarrick, living scorer's first goal since September. Of course, he was going to be the one who's got a score against us. The second would get good finish by Andayi, but one where Dragison, as I just mentioned, was far too easy, stepped across. And the third was a speculative cross, sorry. Well, the unfortunate grey had to get something on it to stop it being a tap-in, but that's our luck at the moment. Okay after a first half that to be honest we could have been five or six nil down if it hadn't been for a combination of poor finishing by Everton and good goalkeeping by Kingsley and in due to Dragison left us reverting to grey at centre back after the defence after the break.

We again got off to a slow start, but boot into the half slowly with more possession, yet still struggled to threaten Pickford in goal, in Everton's goal. It wasn't really until for Charlieson and Mikey Moore's introduction that we looked like we could get anything from the game, although we were really collection of straws really, we left it too late. Sonny's inability to beat a man when playing as a winger, and this is not a me against Sonny by the way, and I don't know what you think about this Ollie in a minute, but he can't hold the ball up.

um it's It's playing up front in particular as a centre forward. It's Bruce Yevon, he can't hold it up odep at all. ah Mike Moore taking on men and on the outside and with Charles actually being the focus to hold him and play back to the now deeper line, Madison, where he did go back. He was almost anonymous for most of the game anyway, Madison. But two leg goals from us were really a byproduct of Everton sitting back really and also being three goals ahead. I don't think it was us getting any much better. In the end, the result flattered us and Everton, they should have, won by more really. It was simply unacceptable. Second, our thoughts on the match, mate. Did we ever deserve anything from the game?

I think Romero and Van de Ven are quite close to returning. um We've got Rich Harlison back. He's going to be eased into it though, because we don't want him getting injured for a few more months again. But I think once we get a few players back, we can start resting players in places and these European competitions, not in maybe the FA Cup, but not the Carabao Cup as we got Liverpool. And I think when we get them players back, we can, we will start seeing some better results, but until then, I think it's going to be more of the same.
