That said, um it's always been my contention that there's really, i mean, other than the get-togethers and seeing people that you you would consider your um fellow tradesmen, um there's a lot of work that goes into those trade shows.

um I'm not sure exactly what the benefit of that is. People used to argue with me and say that they went there for the to see the innovation and to um develop those relationships with the industry reps.

As everybody knows, I've been to one. um and went to WET 2018. And I have fantastic relationships with my reps.

So that's, you don't have to go to the trade shows to to make those things happen. The internet exists for a reason. Email is real, FaceTime is real. All this is easily done at a fraction of the cost.

Excitement and Challenges of Heat Pump Adoption

The next one is, like you say, the innovation. And for whatever reason, it might be because we've installed so many Navians this year on those boiler projects that we're working on.

And we have basically have solidified the next four. um Two are going to be similar to what we've done before, and two are going to be totally different. It'll be a good time getting those updated.

installed and figured out and it's going be awesome. I'm super excited about that. um So I saw a lot of the Navion new products, tankless water heaters, or no, sorry, it was the NWP heat pump water heater.

um And so I looked it up and this is obviously AI because my manufacturers have pricing but they're unsure of exactly what it's going to be. Anyway, they range between 50 gallon is $4,600. The 65 gallon $5,300.

I'm going to assume because do not, oh no, that's Canadian. sixty five gallon is fifty three hundred bucks um i'm going to assume because i do not oh no that's canadian So it might be less in the States.

You also are going to need an electrical upgrade to 240, which is my, and that's my problem with this whole thing. Is you going to power all this stuff?

And it's a huge concern in Alberta. Our electrical grid is overworked and we do not have the same sort of incentive to um do the heat pumps that is everywhere else in the country, in the world for that matter, because our winters are so cold. So,

the The federal tax incentives are there to do the heat pumps, but very few people do them because it's not reasonable to make those upgrades. with And then you have to have, you absolutely have to have a gas-powered appliance to keep you warm when it's freaking minus 40 up.
