Beyond the Trip Mini Series: Life, Death and What Remains

This mini-series explores how psychedelic-assisted therapy meets us at the edges of existence — in dying, in grief, and in the quiet question of what endures when life as we knew it changes or ends.

Transcript

Speaker: Hi everybody and welcome to this special series of episodes of Beyond the Trip podcast. Over the next few episodes we'll be exploring the emerging use of psychedelic assisted therapy in end of life and palliative care.

Speaker: This is Tender Ground and it brings us face to face with mortality, meaning, love, loss and the very human question of how we live when time feels finite.

Speaker: Across this series, I'll be joined by leaders working in the forefront of this field, Bill Richards, Margaret Ross and others who will be sharing insights from their research into psychedelic assisted therapy for people approaching the end of life.

Speaker: And I'll be also joined by Vanessa Beasley, who is currently involved in and a few different psychedelic assisted therapy research trials looking at supporting people navigating grief.

Speaker: This won't be a purely academic conversation. When we talk about death and illness and grief, the personnel inevitably enters the room. So alongside the science and the clinical insights, both my guests and i will be sharing our own human experiences of love and loss and of what it means to sit close to the edges of life.

Speaker: These conversations are offered with care, humility, and a deep respect for those walking these paths. Thank you for being here with us over this mini-series of episodes.
