Denis Tyrell: Thank
echo_blades: What's happening, everybody? Welcome to another Triple T Podcast for Knife Makers. My name is Jared Sandoval. That's Sandoval for butt plug.
echo_blades: mean, what? Gee, what are you doing? Are you like subliminally like trans? you know Anyway, from Echo Blades, and as always, I have my...
echo_blades: i I just filtered my good friend or Dennis Terrell from Terrell knife works and knife maker extraordinaire is, you know, anytime he says anything, he'll always say it's an extraordinaire, but yeah, that's who I ride with. That's my homie. Uh, and, uh, we're here to, uh, tickle your eardrum for, hopefully not another hour and a half last week was a little, uh, excessive, but, um, here we go.
echo_blades: Dennis, how the hell are you, buddy?
Denis Tyrell: I'm good. I'm good. Had a good weekend. It's fucking hot though. Holy shit.
echo_blades: How is Sarah? Did you go see Sarah?
Denis Tyrell: I did. yeah it was good. Concord with...
echo_blades: In the arms of an angel, far away.
Denis Tyrell: I've never been to the Concord Pavilion, and I've been to other Sarah McLachlan concerts in the Bay Area. And the one last one I went to was in the Greek Theater in Berkeley, which is a really tiny venue. So I was not expecting...
Denis Tyrell: fucking 8 000 people that were at the concert in um uh in um conquered it was crazy
echo_blades: For just $1 a month, you can save a lost puppy trapped.
Denis Tyrell: she does that too no she's one dollar from all ticket sales goes to not the puppies to uh ah to students but it was really it was really good we had amazing seats we were like 10 rows back dead center um oh yeah of course come on i got connections man
echo_blades: To the kitties?
echo_blades: Oh, you got to sit in the seats.
echo_blades: Yeah. I don't know if I've. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's good. I don't know if I actually got.
echo_blades: maybe. ah can't remember.
Denis Tyrell: what you sat back in the grass like a heathen
echo_blades: No. Yeah, yeah. I have. I've sat many times in the in the back, but I think I saw the Los Lonely Boys and I was in the seats.
Denis Tyrell: Oh, you were lonely?
echo_blades: i was Yeah, that was one of the last concerts I went to drinking.
Denis Tyrell: Oh, it's been a while.
echo_blades: Yeah. Well, that, yeah, that one, that was, that was, it that was an event. I know I'd have, I know I'd have a good time, buddy. Just trust me.
Denis Tyrell: Oh, you did.
echo_blades: You're missing out.
Denis Tyrell: You did.
echo_blades: No, I still do, but it it was next level. It was just next level.
Denis Tyrell: yeah uh but the concert was really good we did pull the old irish goodbye and take off like through i think there was probably like i don't know four or five songs left we took off to beat the traffic home but um
echo_blades: Yeah, it's not a good in and out type of a venue.
Denis Tyrell: ah no No, it's really not. I could not believe, it was super, the only thing that was uncomfortable, it was really, really hot. It was, oh it had to be 95, just waiting in line to get in, and then you were just sitting there sweating the whole time. So yeah, that part, it finally cooled off, but that part wasn't fun.
echo_blades: Yeah. That's the good thing about where we live, man. Like, and I think, cause it's hot as, and think it was 105 here at my house. Um, and I think you were in the hundreds today too.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, hit 101 today too, here.
echo_blades: Yeah. Um, but like when I travel abroad, I'll say, which is on the other side of the the country and you guys that don't, drop 20 degrees in the evening like my brain just cannot wrap my head around that shit like it could be a hundred and something right but like right now it's pretty hot right now actually because it's probably going to be a scorcher tomorrow but it's um it's still 20 some 30 degrees cooler in the evening and and the mornings are nice and and cool like i think on uh saturday
echo_blades: was another hot day and um I golfed. I think I went out at like 640 and it was like in the 60s for till about nine o'clock and then we made the turn and all of a sudden it was like 85 in like a couple hours. So we beat the heat. but um Yeah, I don't get that whole never cooling down shit that.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, I still remember last year being in Minnesota um in August was fucking ridiculous.
echo_blades: That just limited where I'm going. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Like doing that demo dripping onto like the the work that I was trying to do for the demo and just like sweat pouring off my head inside in the shade. it was unbearable.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: Yeah, I don't, i yeah I just, I don't know how you guys live like that. You heathens, but you're free.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. What
echo_blades: There you go. yeah You live in America.
Denis Tyrell: else did you do?
echo_blades: That's what I always hear anyways. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Oh, had my my grandson's seventh birthday party on Saturday. Kid's growing like a weed.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: um And I spent some time with my brother-in-law on Friday before the concert. So, well yeah, it was an action-packed weekend. What'd you do?
echo_blades: nice um I had a, ah I turned 47 years old on Friday. um So big shout out to the, ah to all the peeps that reached out.
Denis Tyrell: Old fart. fart
echo_blades: Appreciate it. You know how i'm make an old guy feel older. Yeah. Yeah, what i do? golfed on Friday afternoon with my son. That was the only time I got to see him.
echo_blades: um He worked all weekend. And then Lynn and I ah jetted out for a little bit. Had a nice little get-together here on Friday night.
echo_blades: Really chill. And then Lynn and I went away to that um that hotel. that Man, I am a freaking fan of that place. I have lived...
Denis Tyrell: Is this the moon charging hotel, that one?
echo_blades: No, no, no, no, no. no no that was That's roughing it, dude. That's glamping, according to Lynn. Yeah. That's with the outdoor shower and the moon charger. I didn't have to do that this time.
echo_blades: This is the... um
echo_blades: The guy, what's the name of it? Lafayette park hotel is the name of the place.
Denis Tyrell: Never heard of it.
echo_blades: It's absolutely the, the best bed i have ever been in, in my life.
Denis Tyrell: Is it in Lafayette?
echo_blades: So it's taken me 47 years to realize that I am a bougie feathered down. ah We just stayed there like a month and a half ago or something. Um, not too long ago. And, uh, I remember we actually ended up buying some of the pillows. I ripped the pillowcase off and found out what kind it was. And, uh, so I, I wanted to go back and that's, that's what we did, um, on Saturday and pro that it is something special.
echo_blades: I can't get over it. I feel like that's what excited me. That's what I wanted to do. i slept a bunch, which I never do.
Denis Tyrell: Definitely Sometimes.
echo_blades: Yeah. Oh man. It was great. We, so yeah, we, we checked in at like four o'clock. Um, had room service. yeah Are you a room service guy?
Denis Tyrell: so it depends on the Depends on the hotel.
Denis Tyrell: Have you ever been to a Ritz-Carlton?
echo_blades: ah we can no, absolutely not.
Denis Tyrell: Oh. Because when you say like really nice comfortable beds, that's what Ritz-Carlton reminds me of. Yeah. Stay there sometime.
echo_blades: Sure. I can.
Denis Tyrell: But yeah, I've, I've done the, the room service before.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Why would it, did you get like food?
echo_blades: so The only time we've ever done room service was on the, the Disney cruises that we did when, when I took the whole family. And that's only because it was free. I figured it out. It's like a fricking cruise hack for, for that cruise line. Yeah. um Room service is free. So you're just tipping the people. And I I'd have coffee and bunch of shit delivered in the morning and then we'd do it. So that's the only time I've ever done it.
echo_blades: um And then this time we had, we had room service and yeah, Yeah, i I think I'd just rather walk my ass downstairs and figure something out.
Denis Tyrell: yeah
echo_blades: Or and now with DoorDash, too. I think it's a lot more economical ways to get some...
Denis Tyrell: Oh, yeah, it's it's expensive, but if the if it's a decent hotel and the food is, my issue is the the food is usually not hot by the time you get it, which is pisses me off, but...
echo_blades: Yeah, it was good. i mean, I'm not... Yeah. I didn't order a whole thing. We just got some salads. It's a grill, really good dessert, but yeah, you got to fucking get the, uh, the ice cream in quick. Otherwise you're fucked.
echo_blades: Cause there's no, nowhere to do that. But, um, yes, we had room service and, uh, took a nap then at the room service. And then it was like, I don't know, eight 39 o'clock. and Not really tired. And then i'd it dawned on me that they had the pool there and that was open until 10 o'clock. So we went out and swam and did the hot tub, closed that thing down and then then went to bed, um which was cool, man. We basically had the the this thing to ourself that night.
echo_blades: Just a really old couple sitting up by the fire pit talking all night. so
Denis Tyrell: What, you guys were a really old couple sitting
echo_blades: But yeah, no, no, I'm, um they were like legit. They were like your age, dude. Like how you set yourself up for that.
Denis Tyrell: by the... Fuck off.
echo_blades: Yeah. I'll tell you what. um Yeah. And then slept into like eight o'clock.
Denis Tyrell: Wow.
echo_blades: Here's the, here's the old part. Here's the old part. Slept until eight, got up, went and had breakfast, got back to the room at nine checkouts at 12. I slept, went back to sleep until 11 50. I,
echo_blades: i she's like, you got to get up.
Denis Tyrell: Jeez.
echo_blades: We got to get out of here. Yeah. And I was like, I don't know, dude, this bed is like fricking ridiculously comfortable. So anyways, yeah, that's the highlight of my my thing. Um, but so I didn't do it.
Denis Tyrell: The sleeping was the highlight of your year so far.
echo_blades: Sleep. I, Yeah, I got some golf in and I and i slept. and Didn't get any shop in this week. But I did come home yesterday or this afternoon and noticed that. ah Oh, that's what happened. Jared, dude, my son.
echo_blades: Friday afternoon, we get back and it's it's 100 something and he gets a package. He's got some new headlights or taillights for the truck. And I'm like, oh, cool. So he's out there for a second. Then he's like, hey, can you come out here?
echo_blades: Dude, I'm out there for like an hour fighting with taillights, trying to replace them. and And this just solidifies 1,000%.
Denis Tyrell: yeah
echo_blades: Like the timing was horrible. It was my birthday. was nothing i wanted to do. um it was hot as shit.
Denis Tyrell: It's hot.
echo_blades: i I do not enjoy or get anything out of working on cars. Not a single bit.
Denis Tyrell: um I am with you, brother. I do not get anything working out of cars. Working on cars.
echo_blades: It does nothing for me. it i i i hate it. i literally hate it. I don't want to do shit on it ever again. And it's sad because my son's kind of like into that right now. And so, I mean, I'll go out and help him as much as I can because I'm I'm not necessarily good at it. I can do the bare minimum stuff. The knife making is like allowed me the ability to learn a few things to you know, be a little bit more mechanically inclined than i used to be, but it should that. No, I'll pass.
echo_blades: You gotta go find yourself a new daddy, Jared. Cause I ain't going to go bust my knuckles out there with you. But yeah, that was, that was, horrible that was horrible. Um, I said a lot of, for fuck's sakes, um,
Denis Tyrell: you need a sign
echo_blades: Yeah, I do need the sign. Should have got to. But, uh, yeah. Um, so yeah, it was cool, man. I had a guy good time. Oh, what, uh, what I was trying to get at was I come home. It was today. i come home and I see in the upper right-hand corner, um,
echo_blades: you guys aren't going to be able to follow this, but I have my compressor on one side of my garage and I've ran air all throughout it. So we come up and over the garage and down into a manifold where I split out and have the, the, uh, some air hoses, the grinder, tensioner, um, quench plates. And we just redid this.
Denis Tyrell: Yes, I remember like two months ago.
echo_blades: Like, Just redid it. Somehow the the fucking hose got stuck. And i I pull up to the driveway. I'll send in you a picture right now. And I see this green hose sticking out the upper right side of my garage.
echo_blades: My air hose is fucking pinched. like i'm I'm sending it to you right now. No, but it...
Denis Tyrell: Oh, and you don't leave your compressor on, so it didn't, uh,
echo_blades: no but it
echo_blades: it It pulled everything when it got stuck and like in it, it, it, it fucked it up. So I got a big ass leak in there again, but I'm like, what is that?
Denis Tyrell: It looks like looks like a little snake.
echo_blades: Oh, hell it does. And I couldn't figure it out for a minute.
Denis Tyrell: It's like one one of those big caterpillars that turns into a monarch. That's what it looks like.
echo_blades: Yeah. And that's the new hose, which is a little, little bigger. It's supposed to be a little more durable. Cause you used to have this little thin three eighths, uh, blue hose, but yeah, God, man, I was so pissed. So yeah, that's screwed.
Denis Tyrell: So you got to redo it again.
echo_blades: Um, I gotta figure something out. Cause it's that it's not, it's not actually that thing. That thing pipes down into a manifold and and splits out and something that never has leaked before is now leaking.
Denis Tyrell: Are you using braided hose or you got the cheap, cheap ones?
echo_blades: So.
echo_blades: No, I don't have cheapos.
Denis Tyrell: So it's braided. Okay.
echo_blades: Yes, this, this hose is braided. Yes. I want to make a ah ah bad joke, but yeah. Anyways.
Denis Tyrell: All right.
echo_blades: But yeah, it's the, ah it's not even the hose. It's it's in the manifold. So I don't know how to tell
Denis Tyrell: and
echo_blades: It's, it's, it's very frustrating though. So anyways.
Denis Tyrell: You know what I think it is? Lack of use. Lack of use. If you use it more often, shit like this doesn't happen.
echo_blades: I don't disagree with you.
echo_blades: I might've found out that there was another way. So anyways, that was that.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: um And yeah, and here we are on Monday.
Denis Tyrell: On Monday.
echo_blades: I got one more week here and then I go to Washington next week.
Denis Tyrell: I was... yeah i Uh, mid next week, I go to, uh, Rick's place for that folder class already. That just,
echo_blades: Is that already? That's next week.
Denis Tyrell: yeah, next Thursday I head to Rick's place.
echo_blades: Oh, that's a bummer.
Denis Tyrell: Why?
echo_blades: For how long?
Denis Tyrell: Three days.
echo_blades: i
Denis Tyrell: It's full shop though. It's not like, you know, when we're doing, we're going to be busy with the class and, and Mike's teaching.
echo_blades: Yeah, no, I know I was gonna, yeah
Denis Tyrell: So it's not like a social,
echo_blades: whatever. It's always a social and fucking Rick's there. He never shuts up. so
echo_blades: I miss you, buddy. Yeah. yeah I was going to go up there and um go see some friends and go check you guys out and then hang out at night and do some other stuff during the day. But I was hoping that was the week after.
Denis Tyrell: No, I was thinking it was the, but it's like the 15th, 16th, but yeah, whenever that, because this weekend's going to be like the eighth. Yeah. So it'll be the 15th, 16th.
echo_blades: Yeah. Yep. I don't get back to the 14th and then I have a golf tournament on Saturdays. Yeah. So I'm fucked. I can't do it. All right. Well, you guys are free. Jared free weekend.
Denis Tyrell: About time.
echo_blades: No.
Denis Tyrell: ah Yeah, that's creeping up. And I like all, lay i like ah all of a sudden it's august and i'm like what the fuck it's august 3rd already and uh my sci-fi challenge build is due in like three weeks like how did this happen and i just barely started it so i gotta make some good progress this week so but i ground it i forged it ground it he treated it
echo_blades: yeah
Denis Tyrell: um So it's heat treated today. so I'll be doing like bevels tomorrow. And yeah, I should be well into it.
echo_blades: I ground it. You say like profile profiled it.
Denis Tyrell: Profiled it and did the, you know, the surface grinding and all that.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. So yeah.
echo_blades: What do you use
Denis Tyrell: it'll
echo_blades: What do you use to profile it?
Denis Tyrell: What did I use to profile? I used my amazing Ameribraid grinder to profile it.
echo_blades: Absolutely.
Denis Tyrell: um And if you guys want to do some jarriding of blades, go get yourself an Ameribraid at ameribraid.com.
echo_blades: Atta boy.
Denis Tyrell: use the discount code triple T for 10% off those accessories, you know, cause you're going to need to surface grind it and you're going to need the small wheel and you're going to need, um, something else.
Denis Tyrell: inside joke there. Um, and use triple tripled T for the discount on machines.
echo_blades: yeah right
Denis Tyrell: Um, yeah, go check them out. Uh, Ameribrain.com and, uh, Tell them the boys at triple T sent you and, uh, you use the discount code, use it.
Denis Tyrell: Give your money.
echo_blades: Yeah. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Uh, yeah, I use, use that.
echo_blades: It's ridiculous.
Denis Tyrell: Um, and, uh, it was in the big stand up, even heat kiln today for hours. Now, in fact,
echo_blades: Attaboy.
Denis Tyrell: It's in the big even heat kiln right now, tempering. So what love that thing.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: If you guys need a heat treating oven of any size, whether it's the big Bertha that I have or the little minis, they've got them all. Go check them out at Even Heat Kilns, family owned and operated forever.
Denis Tyrell: is As old as Jared, um building the highest quality heat treating ovens available.
echo_blades: almost good people
Denis Tyrell: ah yeah it's I don't know what I would do without that big sword heat treating oven. it would
echo_blades: you do that that crazy shit you did that one time where you were like two forges together yeah you borrowed mine huh yeah
Denis Tyrell: I know, putting two forges together and then yeah and then he heating up the quench oil. Yeah, your old one. Yeah, and then heating up the quench oil and using that as the temper.
echo_blades: yeah
Denis Tyrell: Sketchy.
echo_blades: A little bit.
Denis Tyrell: It worked, but it was sketchy.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: So yeah.
echo_blades: Yeah, it was ah I was happy to see it ah out when I stopped by today.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. Um, and that thing it's weird cause that one has the, um, the solid state relays on it. So it doesn't like my old one, I cheaped out when I got the first one, right.
Denis Tyrell: And I got just the base base model.
echo_blades: You totally did.
Denis Tyrell: What?
echo_blades: You totally did.
Denis Tyrell: I totally did.
echo_blades: I can't even, I don't even understand how you, you like, you're talking hieroglyphics when I see you program shit in there.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. Like, but
echo_blades: but It's like, I don't get I'm like, where's the LCD? Where's the screen? Where's the, you know, it's, it could be so much easier, Dennis, if you're not cheap.
Denis Tyrell: uh well even that one the big one has only got the ramp master doesn't have the tap controller because honestly i don't use that one that often i didn't need the big control should ah i should upgrade my main one to a tap controller but but the new one is a solid state so it doesn't click when the um the elements go on and off It's like totally, the whole oven is totally silent, which is a little freaky because um I forget, like I'm used to hearing the clicking. It reminds me that the oven's on.
Denis Tyrell: So I blew through one of my um ah thermocycles without taking it out because I just didn't hear it. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: It doesn't have a timer or anything fancy like that. So like an audible audible beep.
echo_blades: You love the clicker. You just love the clicker.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. um But at least I got that um that big Nickel Storm frame handle buoy done last week. I was happy to get that done.
Denis Tyrell: and
echo_blades: ah wish I wish was hoping that you weren't going to bring that up because now I got to do like probably the most disgusting thing ever. ever and tell you you did a great job it came out fantastic I was ah I yeah ah yeah good job douche nugget
Denis Tyrell: Thank you. condition
echo_blades: no it came out great dude I love the pattern I remembered it and yeah that's ah that's a really really ah awesome awesome build there Ben
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, it took me a while to get the coffee etched down because I wanted it like shiny, shiny 15 and 20 and black, black, 1084. So, you know, went through some trial and error, tried the phosphoric acid, i like dipped in phosphoric acid before the coffee.
echo_blades: Mm-hmm.
Denis Tyrell: And I'm pretty sure that that was a tip from Mareko, which I tried once before, but I don't i don't think i did it the right way. Anyway, I did it differently. I just did it like a 10 second dip and that really worked and came out nice of black and the 15 and 20 was really shiny.
Denis Tyrell: So if you guys um are interested in that, um you know, try it out and you can get that stuff at Lowe's. It's what is it like concrete? Shit.
Denis Tyrell: It's like a concrete a concrete cleaner, but you can buy that in jugs at like Lowe's or Home Depot um in like the masonry section.
echo_blades: I don't know.
echo_blades: Gotcha. I didn't know you said it. And I was like, I don't know what you're talking about. I've never heard of it.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: Or I was, you know, pretending to be back on drugs when you were talking to me one time about it. Cause I don't, I don't remember it.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think I'm going to and I just upgraded my etching steps to include that as an option. So I might put those up on the Patreon and um for folks that want the step-by-step instructions, so I'll probably put that up there.
Denis Tyrell: um But yeah, it came out really nice. Um, I was super happy with it. Um, yeah, I, I don't see any issues with it. Like all the other knives that i made for March, like to take to blade Texas, I knew there was little issues with them on this one.
Denis Tyrell: i don't see any of those. Like, I don't see any issues that would prevent me from getting this, my master set. Now, not to say there isn't, and I just don't see them, but um yeah, so far I think I'm pretty good on this one.
Denis Tyrell: So I'm going to take it with me to Rick's place and have Mike look at it, and Rick and everybody, and see if they can eagle eye any issues with it.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: So yeah, so hopefully that's one down and four to go.
Denis Tyrell: we'll see. ah The build video will ah for that knife will be up on Saturday, so if you want to see all the ins and outs of how that knife was made, um check that out on on Saturday, including like painting the pins for the the frame and doing the frame and all that kind of stuff.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: So, yeah. Yeah. Now I'm, yeah, sci-fi challenge. Oh, I'm also working on that, um, that folder. Oh, I told you, yeah I was going to talk about that. Um, I told you I was going to use the Jareding machine to do the the water, a AKA the Wazer water jet, um, to do the parts on this folder. Cause I was going to get it to cut out the bolster in a, cause I wanted the bolster and the, the scale meetup to be a curve.
Denis Tyrell: And,
echo_blades: Okay.
Denis Tyrell: So i did I cut it and it was perfect, but then I forgot that the water jet is not 90 degree cut. they're So imagine like this is the steel and it it doesn't cut it doesn't cut it like this. there's ah There's a slight angle to all the cuts on a water jet.
Denis Tyrell: It's just a fact, anytime you get anything water jet, the edges are never 90 degrees. They're always at an angle, just the way the water moves through the material. So I forgot about that.
echo_blades: Cool. Just
Denis Tyrell: So I did have to trim it on the um on the grinder. Like it didn't have a perfect, perfect fit up, but um it still was minimal within 10 minutes.
Denis Tyrell: I had both sides of the folder. um The wood and the um the scales and the bolsters matching up perfectly. So it definitely saved me a bunch of time.
Denis Tyrell: But it wasn't like perfect, perfect, like like you would get with, you know, if you lasered them or used something else. So, yeah.
echo_blades: gotcha
Denis Tyrell: But... Um, still more to come on the, on the Wazer. you guys will see some other things in future videos on, uh, on that water jet. I'll be cutting a bunch of stuff out with that thing and, um, still looking forward to doing some small batches for folks.
Denis Tyrell: Um, probably start with Patreons and, uh, get things going that way. But yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Um, and uh i wanted to mention that i did the giveaway for that folder with the uh laser engraving why why is that funny
echo_blades: Go ahead. It was a very nice, very nice giveaway. Your shirt.
echo_blades: ah ah go ahead it is' a very nice very nice giveaway
Denis Tyrell: okay i'm curious what the funny part is but i did that
echo_blades: yes sir
Denis Tyrell: Oh, the shirt. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I did that giveaway. Congrats to Byron Kennedy for winning that knife. I'll get it sent out to him tomorrow. um But I'm doing...
echo_blades: ah am I in those things or do you pull me?
Denis Tyrell: You're not even a pat patron anymore.
echo_blades: I, I just, I'm pretty sure I still am. I'm
Denis Tyrell: i don't think you are.
echo_blades: pretty sure I am. I, I was just, I was giggling to myself the other day cause I would decline to to accept it and give it to somebody else, but that I'd still think I am.
echo_blades: And I was thinking about that and I was,
Denis Tyrell: I never see your name come up, so I don't think you are.
echo_blades: Because I'm like, I was one of the first. That's why I'm at the front of the pack. And now i think you owe me. So that's all I'm trying to get at. it it's I'm going to cancel today and I want a fucking refund.
echo_blades: and
Denis Tyrell: i don't know if Echo coolb Blades is in there.
echo_blades: Anyway.
Denis Tyrell: Maybe you are, and I just never notice.
echo_blades: I'm going to check right now, but go ahead. Congrats.
Denis Tyrell: ah Okay, let's talk about the shirts, the shirt.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: So i'm goingnna I'm going to start.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: So Jared sends me, and he tells me, that he's sending he's sending me over some stuff. and there's a knife in there. This is all I hear. Maybe this is not what you said, but this is what I hear. I'm sending you two shirts, um, and a knife to send to, uh, Lawrence at maritime because he bought the, whatever we're going to send the knife. So he didn't have to bring it back through customs.
Denis Tyrell: Um, so I get the two shirts and I'm like, these are like golf shirts with like maritime logos on them and they're golf shirts. And I'm like, what, what?
Denis Tyrell: I, I, Lawrence, i love you, but I would never wear this shirt personally. I get it that you're going to wear it. Cause you work for maritime and I'm like, are you, you own maritime?
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: I'm looking at them like, when am I going to wear, I'm not going to wear a polo shirt or a golf shirt in the shop. And, So I figured, oh, and then and then um Jared says, no, no, no, those are actually for Lawrence, not for you, even though they fit me and they were my size. So I thought you were sending me two shirts that Lawrence had made for me that that say Maritime Knife Supply. I'm like, why the hell would you make me golf shirts?
Denis Tyrell: It's weird.
echo_blades: They're just polos that you could wear for golf. But nevertheless, nevertheless.
Denis Tyrell: Okay, look look at fucking Ralph Lauren correcting me on fashion. would i googled it. What's the difference between a golf shirt and a polo shirt? What is your definition between the two?
Denis Tyrell: like He corrects me in a text when I say, oh, yeah, they're golf shirts. And Jared sends me a text back saying, dude, they're they're polo shirts.
echo_blades: Yeah, they're just polos or polo riders.
Denis Tyrell: Like I'm making them.
echo_blades: I mean, that's where they they originate from.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: So if you ride a horse, and which um' you're probably in your day.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, but you corrected me when I said golf shirt. You said, no, they're polo shirts. Like, I'm a dumbass.
echo_blades: Well, golf shirts today, to be fair, my my definition of a golf shirt would be that type of material that's that's kind of flexy and not cotton. So you're you're not wrong, but i was i was trying to just talk shit because you were like, I don't even wear a golf shirt.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: you know I'm like, okay, dude, they're just polo. Bro, the the thing, he sends me this text. i you know We have this back and forth thing. And then later on that evening, i think I was in the in the bed at the hotel and I checked Instagram.
Denis Tyrell: I told i told um Lawrence that, hey, I wore your shirt in a video. like I told him I was going to wear it.
echo_blades: and i see And I see the shit wearing the shirt and I lost my shit. I just... When Lynn was like, what is wrong y'all?
echo_blades: Oh, he was, dude, I gave him the shirts to send back to Lawrence and he's fucking wearing it.
Denis Tyrell: That's because I was in the office with a ratty shirt on and I had to do the video for that um giveaway.
echo_blades: Oh, even worse now, Lawrence. Shit's all covered in your brother's fucking stank-ass fucking shop sweat. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: I was in the office. It wasn't...
echo_blades: Oh, that's fucking great, dude. but it yes i I damn near died. was like, he's fucking weird. I told him to send him back. But i you know to be fair, I did kind of set Dennis up.
echo_blades: so did
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, you did.
echo_blades: because The point is, is I'm i'm horrible about this stuff. and And Lawrence is very kindly like, you know, hey, just package it up and send you a label to get back. And I'm like, every morning I'll walk by it and I'm like, hmm, I should do something about that.
echo_blades: So I decided that I was just going to drop him off.
Denis Tyrell: You dumped it on me.
echo_blades: Yeah, to drop it off to Bennett's, who's, you know, the ah the shipping extraordinaire, like he says. But yeah, so it all worked out even better than I could imagine. though Seeing you wear that thing.
echo_blades: Oh, it's freaking great.
Denis Tyrell: um no Yeah. So yeah, Lawrence, you're you're your shirts will be on the way.
echo_blades: You're endless. Endless entertainment.
Denis Tyrell: Well, I'll tell you what the box and the weight and all that stuff is and you sent me a label. So I'm going to pack it up tomorrow because I got to send that knife to Byron. So I got to do some some shipping anyway.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: to
echo_blades: Cool.
Denis Tyrell: yeah and if you guys if you guys want to get cool stuff from lawrence you got to go to maritime knife supply and he's got everything abrasive steel ah equipment tooling you name it he's got it folder ah parts so go to maritimenifesupply.com or.ca if you're up in canada and go check them out get all your knife supplies there
echo_blades: Yeah, that was great.
echo_blades: Hopefully he's got like, it hope he's got an industrial, uh, washing machine too, to get that dentist stank out of that golf follow. yes
Denis Tyrell: <unk>
echo_blades: Yeah. Go check out, uh, Maritime Nights to Play. If he ain't got it, he'll figure out where to get it and how to get it to you. So
echo_blades: awesome. This good, good stuff, man. I just absolutely loved it.
Denis Tyrell: You know, I didn't have any, we didn't have any, we don't have any listener questions, right? Okay.
echo_blades: If we do, i suck and I didn't get him. I didn't get to him.
Denis Tyrell: Well,
echo_blades: so
Denis Tyrell: I had a couple interesting comments that I thought, ah YouTube comments that I thought I would put up here. And I find it really funny when people comment something that they are so absolutely positive about and so wrong.
Denis Tyrell: Like, you know, when someone is so confident that they are right about something and and post it in a comment.
echo_blades: I was...
echo_blades: Yeah.
echo_blades: Yeah. I talk to one every week on a podcast. no no
echo_blades: ah
Denis Tyrell: I had one, um, this is a month ago, Sabrina, the fishing.
echo_blades: and
Denis Tyrell: Oh, I don't have the, the whole thing. Uh, and it's a woman too, which I thought was funny. Um, she's watching my,
echo_blades: Not that that means anything to all our women listeners.
Denis Tyrell: no
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: all of them. yeah
echo_blades: all of them
Denis Tyrell: um, um
echo_blades: Some of you dudes be acting like, what's up?
Denis Tyrell: ah She's watching my Copper Damascus Katana video. You know, the one that's got millions of views.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: And this is her comment. AI. If anyone is...
echo_blades: By the way, hold on.
Denis Tyrell: What?
echo_blades: Before you say this, this video was released light years before this whole AI thing started.
Denis Tyrell: ah Exactly. Right.
echo_blades: And
Denis Tyrell: This video is now five almost five years old.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: So great job, Sabrina.
Denis Tyrell: And... Yeah. And she says, AI, if anyone is watching this, don't bother. It's impossible. Copper melts at a much lower temperature than steel.
Denis Tyrell: Copper would puddle um would be a puddle of molten metal and wouldn't work with steel. Don't let this fool you. It's obviously a fake video. I don't have to watch it to call BS. Kids don't believe this. Just don't. It's a fake video that looks real.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: You know who would disagree with that?
echo_blades: Yeah. Mr.
Denis Tyrell: McCoy Baker.
echo_blades: Coy Baker. Absolutely. Tell me why.
Denis Tyrell: Because he makes this stuff. he He is what we call an expert. at making copper damascus and uh maybe he's made a puddle of copper a few times but most times the vast majority he knows what he's doing as do i most times um and uh it's not ai and it's not a fake video um so if you guys if you don't want to you know risk having comments like this on your videos, you should go buy your copper Damascus from Baker Forge and Tool and ah go check them out.
echo_blades: That's right.
echo_blades: just that
Denis Tyrell: This week it is, what's what is it this week? remember a Stainless Damascus Cushim? The zeus ripptle
echo_blades: Nope. Stainless Damascus. That's right.
Denis Tyrell: Zeus Ripple Stainless Damascus live now. Yeah, go check it out. um Get yourself some Gator Max to etch that. Some Gator Piss Max, because you need that to etch stainless.
Denis Tyrell: And, you know, get the regular Gator Piss and the Heavy while you're there. The Grime Reaper to clean it up, and the Gator Skin to keep it all pretty. So go check them out and use the discount code TTT10 to get 10% off your whole cart.
Denis Tyrell: The whole thing.
echo_blades: The whole thing, all of it, even the fake cop or Damascus, that is going to be a puddle.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Um, and, uh, just going on this, the same AI vein, I got a, just a day ago on the video I did last week on, um, doing, um, the, uh, engraving, the laser engraving and getting the laser engraving patterns, because that's kind of tough, like getting the acanthus leaf patterns and in the right shape and everything to do in your blades. And, uh, I got a, um, a comment yesterday from,
Denis Tyrell: Mr. John Highland, whoever that is. Wow. That's really disappointing. If you're using AI to generate your designs now, I'm no longer interested in subscribing to your channel.
Denis Tyrell: Uh, Oh yeah.
echo_blades: Oh. ah
Denis Tyrell: since I'm like, really dude?
echo_blades: It's so sad.
Denis Tyrell: Like, I was like, man, I, I won't read you the comment that i sent back to him. Um, but it might not have been as nice. Now, i'm I'm sure I was, I think it was more like, ha-ha, you should branch out a little there, buddy.
Denis Tyrell: um And the last one that i that I got a chuckle out of from, yeah.
echo_blades: He's a husky passion. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: His neck is is his ah nickname is Husky underscore Passion. Wow, this guy's been hitting the wrong kind of bars.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: um If a single spark hits that kerosene bath by by buye bye New Zealand, does he live in New Zealand? I don't get this.
echo_blades: don't know.
Denis Tyrell: You are really asking for it. Like this guy is so sure that kerosene is going to go up by a single spark. Like this guy is positive.
echo_blades: Mm-hmm.
Denis Tyrell: He's sure. um Which I thought was really funny. You can throw a lit torch and kerosene in it and it won't ignite. But. Yeah, some funny ones this week made me laugh.
Denis Tyrell: But yeah.
echo_blades: yeah That's some good stuff. the The AI stuff is killing me. that's That's something else.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah. People have a violent reaction to AI stuff sometimes.
echo_blades: I mean...
Denis Tyrell: You should like see it as a tool.
echo_blades: we're going to have to, right? There's no... i Personally, I kind of feel slighted by it. like um I kind of get it a little bit, but at the same time...
echo_blades: it ain't going away and you know, and if you're not using it, it's, it's like, you know, the, I don't know how fucking the, a power hammer or something.
Denis Tyrell: No. Yeah.
echo_blades: yeah You're not doing it unless you use a real hammer. mean, I could get out of here, dude. Um, there is a, there is a way that I think you can utilize it. Like you said, as a tool and, and not be a cheater.
echo_blades: Um, And then, you know, for us people that are completely lack creativity, um all of a sudden we have some creative outlets there too. and so
Denis Tyrell: and And just to take this one one thing further, like very few people. can do their own engraving on a knife. Like I'm talking like a canthus sleeve engraving. Like that is ah like a professional skill. You have very, very few knife makers that can do that engraving. So apparently to this guy, it's okay if I send my knife to someone else for them to do a design on it, that's okay.
Denis Tyrell: But if I get a laser AI, an AI to to get ah a canthus pattern that I then put on it, that's not okay. that's It seems pretty stupid to me that I can just get someone else to do their design on it.
Denis Tyrell: So, yeah, dumb. But, hey.
echo_blades: Yeah, that's...
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: But.
echo_blades: yeah Yeah, yeah, okay.
Denis Tyrell: But I mean, I get it.
echo_blades: I get it.
Denis Tyrell: i And I actually, the the ones that, um are you seeing all these like, mostly it's Instagram commercials, but even on TV now, I'm starting to see commercials where I know that the actor is AI.
echo_blades: Yes.
Denis Tyrell: And like they...
echo_blades: Dude, the the one that's... the one that's getting me right now is there you know and unfortunately there was some kind of a shooting in uh in idaho this weekend yeah and they're saying that um a civilian
Denis Tyrell: Idaho, yeah, Yes.
echo_blades: engaged the shooter and i saw yeah so saw the videos right but then i see a post
Denis Tyrell: I've seen the videos.
echo_blades: that has three different pictures and there's three different civilians like AI generated into bucket. I'm wait a minute.
echo_blades: Is it Indiana Jones? is it freaking John Wick?
Denis Tyrell: Ted Nugent.
echo_blades: Or is it somebody else? I'm like, come on people. And if you don't, I mean i have to remind myself, you know though the one thing that gets me too, is like, there's a bunch of, uh,
echo_blades: when you're If you're a golfer like me, you'll watch endless um you know shorts of like swing tips and things like that. And you'll just see these people just like flushing the ball.
echo_blades: and like it just they they They do some really dumb, just making pure contact.
Denis Tyrell: I don't know that means, but...
echo_blades: and like So they'll they'll do a swing and they're like, don't do it like this, do it like this. And they do it the way they're trying to show you. And the ball is just like. And my son was like, dad, that that's, that's an AI ball. That's not a real ball. And I'm like, oh my God, I feel like a fucking idiot. hit but not i'm thinking he just He just cracked it. And I have to figure out what he just did to, you know, in order to hit the ball like that. He's like, that's not a real ball, dude. You're getting took the old man.
echo_blades: So, yeah. but So, you know, you, you see these pictures come at you and if you're not, Yeah. if you're not really, really paying attention. Yeah. You can think, you know, Ted Nugent or fricking John Wick is engaging, you know, active shooters and stuff.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: And you can, you can right now you can tell, um, and I don't know if you've seen, I don't, I'm, I'm seeing these like trizepatide semaglutide, whatever these, these commercials on Instagram and, um, and you see the person talking, but it's like, it's like the frame rate isn't quite enough because it was computer generated.
echo_blades: Um,
Denis Tyrell: and And you can kind of tell it's an AI actor and it's not a real actor and it's someone talking. um Those are the ones that I'm i'm seeing that I can tell are AI, but it's only going to get better. And pretty soon, no one's going to hire actors for those things.
Denis Tyrell: That they're just standing in front of the camera and they're saying something like, it's all going to be AI.
echo_blades: That's right.
Denis Tyrell: Unless it's like somebody famous, but if it's someone you don't know, why hire an actor get a get a get a i to do it and uh yeah which is i guess kind of sad but
echo_blades: You know what I got? ah The only cool AI thing that I've done is ah have an AI take my order at, it happened to me at Panda Express one time. I couldn't trip her up. She's better than any.
Denis Tyrell: did you do a really racist accent or what
echo_blades: ah It was a fantastic experience. No, no. I was just like, you know, can can you, can I have an orange chicken without the orange or something like that? Like, you know, stupid shit like that. And then she was spot on and just handled it. And then the order came out completely awesome. So I'm down for that from the, for the the foodie fat guy. I mean,
Denis Tyrell: So you get orange chicken without orange?
echo_blades: No, I was just being an ass.
Denis Tyrell: What the hell kind of order is that?
echo_blades: Yeah, I was just trying to trip up the AI. and yeah like Can I get three extra napkins and you know a spork, not a fork or a spoon? yeah i just Stupid son, she just handled everything just fine. bu't even Didn't even laugh at my dumb jokes.
echo_blades: So, they work.
Denis Tyrell: perfect for you.
echo_blades: Mm-hmm. Just humbled me right up, dude. Just humbled me right up.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: You know who's not AI, though, is GripTech Composites. If you want some awesome handle material, go check out GripTech Composites' IG. That's Grip Tech Official. echo_blades: Uh, what, what is this week, Dennis?
Denis Tyrell: It's still copper metallic. It started last week and yeah, copper metallic this week, which is probably the best one.
echo_blades: Nice.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah.
echo_blades: Which i stole.
Denis Tyrell: Good. Yes, you always do. Bastard.
echo_blades: That's right. Yes. um Yeah. What else we got?
Denis Tyrell: um
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, let's do some maker spotlights.
echo_blades: Oh, nice.
Denis Tyrell: Do yours first.
echo_blades: Yes, sir. Hop right on it. Fuck, dude. have... i have
echo_blades: Uh, there he goes. Uh, Jay Hoffman knives in, uh, he's in the notes. I don't know if we actually did shout him out at one point, but, um, anyways, he is making this little cool, um, edge finder.
echo_blades: scribe thingamidealer that, uh, fits in your vice. And I'm just cuckoo for Cocoa puffs over it. I think it's fricking awesome. Uh, I know there's types, uh, and I have a version myself.
Denis Tyrell: Thank you.
echo_blades: I know Dennis was saying that he has one as well, but, um, I think it's really cool. And if you haven't seen it, I wanted to just give him a shout out and, um, have you go look at that, uh,
echo_blades: Because it's really cool. um Coolmaker does some awesome stuff. um And yeah, that's what I have here. Somebody just walked in my house. Sorry.
echo_blades: Totally distracted. think it's my son. But who do you got? Oh, wait a minute.
Denis Tyrell: i
echo_blades: Jay Hoffman. That's Jay Hoffman Knives on Instagram. He's got 2,523 followers. And yeah, go check him out and tell him the boys at Triple T said, what's up?
Denis Tyrell: um I have another Brazilian this week. the Now, my Portuguese is not great, but it's Forja do Leo de Acco.
Denis Tyrell: It's either eight or four eight or Jorge. um I'm going to spell this out for you. Forja F O R J A. D-O-L-E-A-O-D-E-A-C-O. Just check the notes because I don't expect you to be typing type in that. um But just amazing, amazing stuff.
Denis Tyrell: um You know, you get to expect a lot from the Brazilians and this guy delivers. Just really, really amazing, amazing stuff.
Denis Tyrell: um You know, reminds me, some of it reminds me that The Cass brothers in the handles, but just beautiful, beautiful Damascus work.
Denis Tyrell: um Just flowy um handles, flowy knives, just looks really, really good. I love that karambit with the the mammoth.
Denis Tyrell: um Just really nice, really cool stuff.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Especially the the second row, the mosaics in the second row in his profile are just crazy.
echo_blades: Yeah.
echo_blades: Just, yeah. I agree.
Denis Tyrell: like The one I appreciate the most, the first one in the second row, because um it has an edge bar ah and it's a mosaic, which means he had to forge that perfectly to shape so that the edge bar wouldn't get distorted.
echo_blades: i agree
Denis Tyrell: um So really, really, yep.
echo_blades: Oh, it's got some gold inlay in the handle there. Like, you ah seeing yeah, really cool. Yeah. that's really cool
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, that's a really, really nice piece. Yeah, I would be thrilled to get to make something like that. I've never done a handle that where the, like a D guard where the the front and the back of the handle meet up exactly at a point. I know Dave Lish has made a few of those. um Yeah, that's that's going to be, I got to try one of those someday.
echo_blades: Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: butop But, um yeah, eat Eater, he's got 16K followers. No surprise there. Just an amazing, amazing Smith.
Denis Tyrell: So, yeah, go check him out.
echo_blades: Dude, I'm thinking that you youre you're starting to give on that you have a type. Dennis is hot for Brazilians. Almost as much as apparently I'm i'm into Canadians.
echo_blades: So
Denis Tyrell: That's right. You have a I think that your your new your new your new nickname is going to be Husky Passion.
echo_blades: I have a type. They're freaking white haired, balding. and
echo_blades: I'm good at that. I've called a lot worse. That's for sure.
Denis Tyrell: This was your comment, wasn't it? This Husky Passion comment.
echo_blades: Well, yeah. Goodbye, New Zealand, dude. I say that all the time. It's my fucking coin phrase.
Denis Tyrell: oh man
echo_blades: but You freaking created s Sabrina the Fish Witch and tried to troll yourself, dude. i but What's the matter with you? I don't
Denis Tyrell: i wish i knew the rest of her uh of her nickname sabrina the fishing witch maybe i don't know the fishing something so what do you got coming up this week anything interesting
echo_blades: know. I don't know.
echo_blades: That's great.
echo_blades: Fuck, I don't know. I really haven't even thought that far.
Denis Tyrell: you
echo_blades: I'd like to get into the shop. um It's supposed to cool down towards the end of the week. so um
echo_blades: that that Apparently, I have to do some repairs on some air hoses again. That'd be awesome. um And then... Yeah. I got my mom here this evening. She just did a, ah had another procedure and everything's good.
echo_blades: She's a recovering again. Well, kind of a, don't know if it's preventative or maintenance type thing to the procedure that she had before, but they said that things are looking better and that stuff.
echo_blades: So she's upstairs resting right now. So um probably hang out with mom tomorrow.
Denis Tyrell: Oh, that's good. That's good. So you ought you're off tomorrow?
echo_blades: And yeah, No.
Denis Tyrell: Oh, you just like working from home tomorrow. Yeah.
echo_blades: Yeah. Yeah. I work from home tomorrow. Well, half day anyways, but yeah. But anyways, in the evening, I'll hang out and she'll be here for a couple of days, I think. And then, uh, yeah, probably holding hopefully I can get, get my ass in the shop and do something.
echo_blades: Um, cause that'd be cool. And then, uh, yeah, I got prep for heading out of town next week.
echo_blades: That's it. Yeah.
Denis Tyrell: Nice. What have I got?
echo_blades: Yourself.
Denis Tyrell: um Yeah, just working on those builds the rest of the week. um The Triple T this week, I'm revisiting one that I did a long time ago.
Denis Tyrell: which but this time So I want to retry the tannic acid finish. Tannic acid is the acid that's inside of coffee.
Denis Tyrell: um So I have just... base tannic acid and I want to last time I just tried it on bare steel and this time I want to actually polish some like get to exactly the same phase I do with coffee and um and actually try it with a polished piece of Damascus and, uh, and see if it's, if it's going to work. Am I going to get dark 10 84?
Denis Tyrell: so I'm going to give that a shot this week. Um, and, uh, yeah, maybe it, maybe it'll surprise me. Maybe I'll get the say last time I did get interesting results. I just didn't ever do the followup to it.
Denis Tyrell: Um, so yeah. And I didn't, I don't think I heated it last time. I was told in a couple of different comments that it's got to go to like 140, 160 degrees. So I'm going to boil it just like coffee.
Denis Tyrell: Um, and yeah, anyway, that's going to be this week's, um, triple T. So tune in if you're curious or if you just want to know etching steps.
Denis Tyrell: Uh, I may actually just show you my whole, um, coffee etching, uh, steps. on the screen and that's going to be up for as like a download for Patreon members.
Denis Tyrell: But, uh, who knows, maybe I'll discover something special with the, uh, the tannic acid, which is actually really inexpensive to buy online. So if it works, I would be thrilled because it's a hell of a lot cheaper than coffee.
Denis Tyrell: Um, but, uh, yeah, we'll see. Yeah.
echo_blades: Autumn.
Denis Tyrell: But other than that, uh, I think,
echo_blades: Just make sure you do it for real and don't don't use AI to generate the finish. Okay? Sabrina will be pissed.
Denis Tyrell: Yeah, Sabrina the Teenage Witch. um
echo_blades: Fish wish.
Denis Tyrell: I don't know what I have planned this weekend, actually. Actually, I think I want to go boating this. I might go jet skiing this weekend. Is your kid working this weekend?
echo_blades: Probably.
Denis Tyrell: And you you you you busy this weekend? We should go jet skiing.
echo_blades: I don't know if I am. I don't know if I am or not.
Denis Tyrell: You should get your ass.
echo_blades: um know um I'll be golfing in the morning. so the
Denis Tyrell: Oh, screw the golf. You can not golf one day and come out and...
echo_blades: I didn't golf on Sunday. And I'm no longer you know a human being. I'm feeling like shaky and stuff like that. It's fucking weird, dude.
echo_blades: I'm about this life dude a yeah well just go when it gets hot fuck I know that's saying in the afternoon
Denis Tyrell: Fine, I'll go with somebody else.
Denis Tyrell: What do you mean it is going to be hot?
Denis Tyrell: No, Christ, that's dumb. Can you be done by like 11?
echo_blades: yes I'll be done by 11 both days alright Sunday's probably the day
Denis Tyrell: All right. Maybe. Maybe.
Denis Tyrell: All right. Let's chat.
echo_blades: Let's chat. Talk to me, chat.
Denis Tyrell: Did, uh, did we pay on the bill? No, no, we haven't talked about, uh, Frank beans.
echo_blades: No.
Denis Tyrell: We, uh, um, if you guys need a hammer for any of your forging needs, got to go check out two bastards, Texas Smithian supplies.
echo_blades: That's right.
Denis Tyrell: Uh, get yourself ah a straight peen, a cross peen, a curvy peen, crisscross peen, uh, get them all. Um, because you know, you gotta have all of the types in your hammer rack. Uh,
Denis Tyrell: Go check him out. Go talk to Frank Anita over at Two Bastards. He will hook you up, um get you the hammer that you need.
echo_blades: Yeah, if you want to be like Jared from Echo Blades and Dennis from Terrell Knifeworks, you're going to be a fiend for the peen.
Denis Tyrell: Jared.
echo_blades: So just first step is admitting. and then And then you got a problem, right?
Denis Tyrell: Admitting you have a problem.
echo_blades: You just got to accept it Let it go because, you know, it's it's it's really damn grand to have a fat peen in your hand.
Denis Tyrell: That's right.
Denis Tyrell: All right, man. We're just about to roll into an hour. um We got anything else?
echo_blades: Let's beat it.
Denis Tyrell: Are we done? We're going to make it under an hour for once?
echo_blades: I think we're going to do it.
Denis Tyrell: All right. Okay. We're out of here.
echo_blades: All right Peace.
echo_blades: Don't butcher me.
echo_blades: And that's a wrap.
