Speaker: Do you remember the first million dollar winner on the show? His name was John Carpenter. And did you know he didn't use any lifelines? Technically, he did use his phone a friend lifeline on the last question, but it was to let his dad know he was about to win $1 million dollars because he already knew the answer.

Speaker: There have been about a dozen million-dollar winners since then on the U.S. version of the show. We thought it'd be fun to ask a few of the million-dollar winning questions that were featured on the show. Here's one.

Speaker: In the children's book series, where is Paddington Bear originally from? Is it A. India, B. Peru, C. Canada, or D. Iceland?

Speaker: And here's another one, and this one's kind of random. In addition to his career as an astrologer and prophet, Nostradamus published a 1555 treatise that included a section on what?

Speaker: Was it A, training parrots to talk, B, cheating at card games, C, digging graves, or D, making jams and jellies?

Speaker: And one more. Which insect shorted out an early supercomputer and inspired the term computer bug? Was it A, a moth, B, a roach, C, a fly, or D, a Japanese beetle?

Speaker: All right. Do you have your final answers? The answers are Paddington Bear is from Peru. Nostradamus published a treatise with a section on making jams and jellies. And the insect that inspired the term computer bug was a moth.

Speaker: I don't know if I could have done that on those questions. Those were kind of hard. Yeah, I probably would not have won a million dollars, unfortunately. Yeah. Take the money and run. Yep.

Speaker: All right. Let's jump into a quick round of this or that based on today's theme.

Speaker: This or that 1994 kids movies blank check or Richie Rich. Oh, I think I have to go with blank check.

Speaker: I really like really laundering themes, but I also love that he got rich and got all these fun things. So have a blank check. I mean, these are both really nostalgic for us millennials, yeah for sure. i mean, let's see. Both of them had a chauffeur and limo driver.

Speaker: So nice. um I like both of these movies, but I think it'd have to go with Richie Rich. I liked the message. He just, he wanted, he wanted to make friends. He didn't want all of his money. Exactly. But I thought it was funny. i don't know if you remember that he had a McDonald's inside of his mansion. So that's when you know you're rich.

Speaker: Okay. This or that. Psalms. Bills, Bills, Bills by Destiny's Child or Moneymaker by Ludacris. Moneymaker by Ludacris is so catchy. I used to love that song.

Speaker: But I have to go with Bills, Bills, Bills by Destiny's Child because that was my first CD um ever was Writings on the Wall. And I loved that song. that was my I think that was their first number one song too. so Yeah, i I agree with you. I got to go Bills, Bills, Bills. Both are great songs, but yeah I love that song.
