Speaker: Dexterity check for me and see if you can clamber up. The fact that you said one more always makes it worse. Oh, yes, absolutely. It does. That's what I hope for. But it's a 19.
Speaker: Don't hope for shit. You're the DM.
Speaker: Hello everybody and welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop. We are a live play 5.5e D&D podcast set in the magical homebrewed world of Aerith.
Speaker: I am Callum and I am your DM for this session and some future sessions as well. However, with me, and I can give proper introduction this time, we have Ian playing Cayman Ashwing.
Speaker: Oh, shit, you came to me first. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. um The dead don't concern me as much as what's missing. There we go. Ooh, broody.
Speaker: We have Will playing Aliso DiMaggio. You the difference between earthrs and Dying Champions? We make this look good. I like it and last, but not by no means least, we have Darren playing, I'm just going to shorten your actual full name to Remy Fizzlebang.
Speaker: What? No, put some respect on that god damn name. Shitfire, you're giving my whole fucking name. I can't. D&D Beyond does let me your fucking name. You call Fizzlebang, you silent fucking stupid gnome. I'm Remigius Montmillian. Fizzlebang the fourth. Yeah, Remigius Montmillian. Yeah, my internet browser did not have the full name.
Speaker: I just saw Remigius. But yes, anyway, that is lovely. and Thank you very much for that, Aaron.
Speaker: Last session. Our Winged Watch adventurers settled in for the night. They were surprised by a small bounty of stock magic potions. Will they dare take them? Who knows? We'll have to listen to find out. But in the morning, after they got their long rest, they had a message.
Speaker: its Lady G has lost communication. With great haste, they ushered to halfway house, with Kalen zigzagging everywhere, doing his best to recon.
Speaker: As they approached... a flaming village, and a small, strange, football-sized, mechanical beast seem to be patrolling the outskirts.
Speaker: We rejoin them now, as they crouch down in stealth mode, ready to approach, ready to save people.
Speaker: All three of you, just currently reside on the outskirts. You are settled down. You are hunkered down. You've seen this drone just pass by what looks to be like ah some kind of farm building just on the outskirts to the south of this halfway house.
Speaker: You've heard rumors of this creature. You've heard a lot from the Winged Watch about the attack that happened after the Jewel of the Desert Championship.
Speaker: You are cautious at this stage, but how would you like to proceed?
Speaker: I'm going to head around to the right-hand side. Wait for my shot.
Speaker: I'm just going to, with Will talking, assuming by default now that we're talking telepathically, unless you say otherwise. Yeah. Yeah, this is all going off in the head. We've done this before. We've got five hours of shit. Just remember you stick around outside of 30 feet of us. You're going to lose the old sneaky sneak, but that's okay. I know you're a sneaky person anyway.
Speaker: He can be, yeah you know, stealthy. um I'll stick with you then, Remy, and we will proceed together straight on. We'll let you cover us, Kalen.
Speaker: Callum, yes, good vantage point from where I am for combat now, not for looking. You start making your way east.
Speaker: You are still keeping your 50 feet away from the village. To be fair, there is quite a decent amount of buildings that seem to be giving you cover that can ah go around.
Speaker: And there are a few sections of high trees that you could potentially scale if you wanted to. What you could do, if you click on the link that I have very handily provided in our chat, then you should be able to somewhat see
Speaker: a little bit of a setup for our halfway house i can indeed and i can see where you've positioned us as well which is on the lower yes now don't get wrong you guys are still on the outskirts of this village so you've obviously got a few buildings just down on the south ah here and What are we looking at, Callum? Explain to the listeners.
Speaker: So what you can see at the moment as you circle around is basically three buildings, one of which looks like a farmhouse, one of which looks like a place of prayer, and one of which looks like a domestic residence. There are a few trees scattered around, just nestling in between the cracks and spaces between these buildings.
Speaker: You can't get from your line of sight a full, clear view. But you are occasionally picking up on a few of these creatures. There is clearly more than one.
Speaker: You've seen the first one, which is at the southwest of the screen, that seems to have been patrolling, but you've had your eye on. only Ian at the moment, there is a second one that seems to be in between a farm building and the ah place of worship.
Speaker: And you've also seen one that is far to the east of the ah village as well. I'll make that one appear that is currently between two domestic residences.
Speaker: So I can see three in total. You can see three at the south at the moment. Okay. So I would ah be communicating all of this to you guys. Um, there you, so you've positioned us coming in, uh, from the corner of this and there's a building to my right.
Speaker: Uh, I would like to get on the roof of that building, please. Uh, this building or this, the domestic residents. Um, Ideally, I mean, if it's possible, i want to go to the the middle of the the two buildings so I can cover on either side.
Speaker: ah You want to climb the trees that are in the middle of the two buildings? there The roof. You want to get on the roof? He's Assassin's Creed style. He's climbing the roof. He's going for the church style. What's the roof like? Is it a pyramid style roof? I don't know the name for Or a flat roof? Give me it. It is a standard kind of triangular roof. Now, there is obviously a taller spire at the southern end of this building. Now, with a good enough roll, everything's climbable.
Speaker: how risk ha How high up are the trees compared to the roof? What's the highest? ah The highest point is the place of worship.
Speaker: and how That is probably sitting pretty high at about 100 feet. The trees are pretty high, but they are more around about your 50, 60 feet span between those. But obviously you have branches that you can use to ascend on the trees.
Speaker: Are all the buildings single-storey, Callum, or any two-storey? Sorry. ah They are all single-storey around here, they will. Thank you. Amazing. And Will and Darren, I'll just let you know, because you are quite near one of these ah small spherical constructs, I'll just move you guys a little bit down ah to the southern west because to emphasize you are do still 50 feet away from the site of this one.
Speaker: Damn it, that means it's beyond my attack range.
Speaker: I'm going to climb the roof of the building to the right of me. No, no, I'm looking at the wrong fucking thing. I'm looking at the... Oh, there I am. Oh, there I am.
Speaker: um I think the roof being 100 foot in the air is going to fuck with my arrow shots. i don't want to do that. Um...
Speaker: Remember, your longbow has a range of 150 and then 600 if you go disadvantage. Fuck yeah, does. So ideally, you want a range above 150 feet for your longbow. Yeah. So having done this before, um I would know from sight where my limits are.
Speaker: um Oh, awesomeson no, sorry. Sorry. You have sharpshoot, which means your range for your longbow without any modifiers is 600 feet. is that without disvantage Yeah, Yeah, because you've got a sharpshooter, you ignore um the long range of limits. I'm a fucking sniper, so I'm going to climb the big building in the middle, Callum.
Speaker: Okay, you're going to attempt to climb the place of worship then 120 feet? Yes, like Will said, Assassin's Creed, this son of a bitch. Okay, can you make a dexterity check for me, please, then?
Speaker: Dexterity check. Yep. course Yes. And just to clarify, do you have any climbing implements or are you free handling this? Free handing and 12.
Speaker: You start with great confidence. There are a few kind of loose stones um at the base that you can obviously get a decent foothold in. You start climbing, you get to a point probably 30 up.
Speaker: And then you start to kind of realize you're not going to be able to get much further without
Speaker: ah trying to jump to more footholds. So there is no like direct line of sight of climbing that you can see at this stage. You've been able to get about 30 feet up on your roll ah from there. Okay.
Speaker: Will, is there anything you Will and Darren, oh, sorry, Alessio and Remy. Is there anything guys would like to would have and this is important, as I was sightseeing, Alessio and Remy know that there's three of these drones. Okay.
Speaker: That's lovely, lovely, lovely. So what Alessio is going to do, um he will be staying near ah Remy and... His objective was probably to go to the the southern, sort of southern, western most buildings, so the one to the left of the ah place of worship, and almost using the... but I'm going to be going... oh No, not Where are you going? Where are you going? Where going? Or is that where we come from?
Speaker: You've come from the south. Obviously, you position your character where you like. So so that the building at the very southern drove left corner... But i'm going to be round the corner. not rounded the corner yet. I'll be approaching it, knowing that he's pointed out where the monodrone is and using sort of the the cover of the building to keep us concealed as possible and going as stealthily as possible.
Speaker: love um So yeah, from your position as you were hiding behind this building, the um like drone thing that's on the left that has been coming back and forth, as you've seen, you hear its whir and this like kind of um little low wave noise that obviously is keeping it afloat from the actual ground just as it comes down to the base of the building, turns around and goes back.
Speaker: And that's fine. And sort of against the edge of the corner, Alessio's probably got um one of his daggers out or something. He's just using it just to peek around the corner. just trying to He's got something reflective. Just just not trying to catch the summary. Just friend so he can see without poking his head out what what he's looking at and that kind of thing.
Speaker: Okay. we can sweet Okay, so from this stage then, I think it's important that we do do a stealth check. So Alessio and Remy... you two You guys do me a self-check, please, and don't forget to add the Pass Without Trace bonus. ye ah That's a 35 for me.
Speaker: Okay, mate. With a Pass Without Trace. Without? Just more modest 23 for me. yeah Just a more modest. So I do love Without Trace. Yeah, on the then adding takes me Jesus Christ. um Alessio, as you peer your dagger around just to try and use it as a mirror to reflect, you see two more on the western side of the village.
Speaker: Um, basically you would identify two buildings, one to the North as a Baker's and one to the West as a butcher's the kind of in an L shape, but still with a space just in between the two.
Speaker: And there are two more drones that you can see fluctuating Lee, um, just moving back and forth again, just patrolling around. um And in my mind, I'm going to sort of say to the other two, I can see at least three going to try and sneak into this building that we're just against as the one close to us moves away.
Speaker: Try and keep and cover as much as we can. Well, I suggest we get in there then and we get a round in on these fuckers before they know we're here.
Speaker: I assume there's door to this left on the left side of the building that we're leaning against Callum. There is, there is. you You'd have to go round the corner to it, but yes, there is a door. Is that, is that um drone, the one that's traveling back and forth?
Speaker: The one closest to us? Yeah, that's the one that's going down and then back every now and then. And he kind of disappears behind the building on the other side of where you are.
Speaker: Okay. Every now and then.
Speaker: Remy's going to just go ah like says ah psychically to Caelan. Caelan, you're in position. We want you to get the first shot in. Yes, we just need to ascertain. Are we just finding out information or are we looking to kill these things?
Speaker: I think we're supposed to meet Lady G here. We got no choice but to neutrify the area. But ice just not striking first. We can make it into this building first.
Speaker: rather than fighting out in the open is my point. I'll get in position, cover you from the top. Yeah, I think with, uh, all Calum's abilities up here out in the open is the best solution because he can give us some covered vantage.
Speaker: No, no. You choose how you need to choose. I will stay at the top. I think we go in first. Have one come away from the pack. I understand.
Speaker: I think we keep quiet. There are four we and we know of. We don't know if they're there anymore. I'd rather us avoid engaging until we know exactly what we're facing. But we keep it nice and quiet so that when we do decide, we're going to start stop the fighting that we get around in before they do.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. No, no. I totally agree with that. yeah Yeah. First time we've had a stealth party, guys, that we can actually look to actively take a surprise round. Well, no. Surprise rounds don't exist anymore, Darren. It's an advantage on your initiative, Rob.
Speaker: boom, you know, or we can look for advantage on our initiative role then. Sorry, yeah. Surprise rounds don't exist anymore. Yeah. um Yeah, I think we get advantage and they're at disadvantage, I think, for their initiative role. i think it's a new role. Right, so my job, Callum, is when that drone has started to move away and I've sort of, I may have watched it for like a minute or so. so I've worked out when it's furthest away and how long I've got because i'm going to try and go around the corner and into the building through this door.
Speaker: Yeah, so as we're not in initiative yet, you realize there's ah clearly probably about a 30-second window between it going around the corner of the building on the other side before it actually comes back.
Speaker: So you the the distance that you've got to travel, absolutely fine if you want to try and get into the door as soon as it goes around the corner. Yeah, and that's it. And I'm going to sidle along the wall, and I'm going to push at the door, and if it doesn't open straight away, I'll be going back around into cover.
Speaker: Very, really smart. it Doors, however, open quite easily. So this has been left unlocked. And Alessio will slip into the building, and he'll sort of say to Rumi, I'll tell you when to follow.
Speaker: And I go into the building. And I'm going up, up, up to the sky. up, up, up our moment you are at 30 feet at the moment the precipice of that song was on my ah tongue but I couldn't remember what i was trying to do Caelan you are currently 30 feet up on the side of the building, though it's probably a dangerous jump to try and get to your next foothold in order to continue your climb so if you want to make a dexterity check for that for me
Speaker: I do, because I'm feeling good. I believe in you. Come on. 16.
Speaker: sixteen
Speaker: 16 you jump you stick your hand out into this little crevice just at the top and you're able to get a secure grip there you hang just for a couple of seconds but then your footing finds itself on the side of this building you can easily scale another 40 feet up from there so you're over halfway on the scale of this building would you like to carry on Yes.
Speaker: Until I get to a ah vantage point of which it doesn't need to be the tippy top. I want a vantage point given the map and yeah position of this building, which is for the listener's point of view.
Speaker: if Imagine a square map. There's buildings around the circumference of this map. And I've, Caleb's chosen one that's in the lower end, but right bang in the middle. So he'd have a cone of view that reaches out in a 180, taking in almost the entire map.
Speaker: So he wants that vantage point. Now that doesn't mean he's sitting at the top of the spire. i need you to tell me when I've reached that point where I'm in a good ah view. Which I absolutely will do.
Speaker: But yes, so until then, I'm climbing. calls we'll give you a good couple of rounds of climbing uh remi you've seen aliso whoosh around go into this door you know he's safe he has communicated with you you hear again the worm the were of this uh drone style creature that's come back down it stops for a minute outside the door seems to stare intently at it and then moves on.
Speaker: Do you wish to give Remy the signal to go, Alessio? Yeah, Alessio, the moment that and it moves up again, he'll give Remy the signal to come and join him. Lovely. And yes, absolutely, with your high stealth check, even you and Folly, the Velociraptor, ah can quite easily sneak around. the Velociraptor need to make its own role? Sorry to be that guy.
Speaker: It can do. It's got pretty good. I don't know. It should. it Well, if it if it has its own stats, I believe it should. It does. Yeah, then it should. yeah Beast of the land stats, don't it? Okay, I'll make an additional stealth roll then. I'm just trying to find its stats, bear with. Yeah, no fine. It does still obviously get the bonus. good still Because it's stealth, it's deck space, so it's not got any proficiency. So it's literally a plus two plus it's um plus the ten from your pass that trace.
Speaker: Cool, I'll just roll the standard D20 and add two to it. Oh, sorry. You also add your proficient deb bonus and the ability check or saving throw the beast makes. Ooh.
Speaker: It's my wisdom, isn't it, rather than my spell cast? No, no, no. Stealth is dexterity, and you add your proficiency bonus. So you take its dex, which is 14, so it gets a plus two modifier.
Speaker: You add your proficiency bonus, and then your dice roll and your 10.
Speaker: that's a 32 32 so your velociraptor rolled higher than you um fantastic uh you you and in folly yeah absolutely able to sneak round without any hesitation without a being able to pin drop as you pass without trace if you aim for stealth he's just the best spell it's It's one of the really, I think, you know powerful spells that has been used, especially in situations like this. So both you, Folly, and Alessio DiMaggio are currently resting in that what you can now see is ah like a farmer's house.
Speaker: There's an array of tools on the wall. So you've got like um a hose up there. There's ah ah a pitchfork on there and there's a couple of empty spaces as well. But it's a very simplistic one room.
Speaker: There's a bed. There's a table. There's a small cooking area as well and a couple of chairs. It's a simplistic one. um You can also see there is a window to the east of this building that looks north.
Speaker: towards the rest of this village as well. And another door isn't there to go to go out into the centre. There is another door also next to this window, but you're not sure where that goes yet.
Speaker: You can't quite see that. Quick question. The the the room we're in how does it look? Do it look like people have left quickly? is it is it Does it look like people have been dropped things have been dropped and run?
Speaker: That kind of thing. It is a little bit messy. It doesn't look like anyone's kind of left in haste, but it does seem very organized. And the fact that there are two items from the wall that are missing, you might determine as a little bit of an unusual thing.
Speaker: i'll I'll communicate to... Sorry. No, no, no. Go on, on. Communicate. ah as As he's sort of looking through the room, Alessio sort of yeah messages to Cale and the others.
Speaker: This building's empty. No sign of any survivors. Doesn't look like anyone died in here, though.
Speaker: and then going to moving along. With that bit of communication, we will scoot... on over on our map back over to kaylin can you do one more dexterity check for me and see if you can clamber up the fact that you said one more always makes it worse oh yes absolutely it does that's what i hope for but it's a 19 don't hope for shit you're the dm i always like a little bit of tension and a little bit of uh
Speaker: build up. But yes, with a 19 on the roll, you scale the last ah probably about 20 feet to the base of the pyramid style roof on here. So you've not gone up the spire, but you have now free reign to walk and maneuver around the roof of this place of worship pretty damn easily.
Speaker: Perfect. That's what was hoping for. So I will, after having Alessio,
Speaker: ah tell me that. I would
Speaker: say that, because he's broody and stuff like this, he would say, don't forget, Ash tells us what burned. Empty rooms tell us who left.
Speaker: I've got vantage point over the top.
Speaker: Will you be moving to the north of this building to give you a good look over all of it? Are you still staying just where you are on that eastern side? um'm I'm going to. I'm pretty high up, so I want to ah have a view on everything. So I'm going to north. i'm I'm standing at the front of the centerpiece, basically. I am at the front of the Titanic looking out. And that is my viewpoint. So if there's anything new, um I'm looking for sentries. I'm looking for guards. I'm looking for movement. So my eyes have gone into that.
Speaker: soft gaze, not transpir- not purposely fixed on a central point, but overlooking the entire area in a soft focus so that I can pick up movement clearer.
Speaker: And then if I pick up movement, that's when I'll focus in on that. And that's when I'll communicate with the group. Fuck it! Look at us, guys! Look at us! I've never seen such teamwork in a Fellowship of the Table top podcast episode. It's fantastic. Um...
Speaker: Caelan, you sneak over the side of this roof and scale up the slanted side of this pyramid-style roof. Just ah put yourself central.
Speaker: Can I have a stealth check from you, please? You do not get passed without trace because you are out of range. That's okay. I've got good stealth.
Speaker: I've got nine.
Speaker: As you get to the end, fuck, you get a glorious view of everything. You can see more of these drones, some of which look a little bit odd, a bit odder than others.
Speaker: while you've only seen round ones. There's ones that you're now seeing which is like a 3D diamond type of shape. And you see three of them, two of which are around the center of this little village, just around this kind of statue.
Speaker: And there is... more of these circular drones uh that you see as well one to the left of what would be the tavern you would assume from the sign that is on the uh side of it just a nice little bit of pint glass a stein if you will one all the way to the back to the north of where we are there is another and
Speaker: you can see very faintly one hovering over a ah small pond just to the northeast
Speaker: of the village as well. One you see slowly making its way through trees to the very, very east of where you currently stand.
Speaker: and Finally, in the middle of it all, there seems to be a peculiar one that seems to be walking around on five legs.
Speaker: It seems to have five heads. As well in the very center and they are constantly moving and turning in sync almost like the, um, um, I think they might be Indian or something like that where you got the heads and they're all different things as they turn around. It's very, very much like that. And that one is in the very center of this actual village.
Speaker: But you have a clear view of all of this. Hmm. And you have a few seconds to relay any information to Alessio and Remy.
Speaker: I would all right explain everything. And it would be in short, military, one north, 60 feet. Another north-east, 100 feet.
Speaker: That kind of thing. um It would be bullet point. And I would relay everything that you've just said, but in very where they are and how far they are.
Speaker: And you've relayed all of these just as you've been pinpointing. Sorry, Callum. can Can I just ask, but would would that also include that you detect that you may be compromised because of the poor self role?
Speaker: No, because I feel pretty good about it. Okey-dokey. I don't know that I've fucked up myself. Yeah. Okay. that that That's fair. Caelan doesn't know how good or how poorly he he may have done it. Um...
Speaker: you make note of all these kinds of drones. And then just as you are describing like this weird five headed one in the middle, one of its heads turns and just seems to lock eyes with you, even up there, Cailin.
Speaker: And it lets off an alarm.
Speaker: Just like a high pitched siren that echoes through the village. It has clocked eyes with you. And we are now going to roll into initiative.
Speaker: Now I would say I've been compromised. and Which is very, very fair. Are the two of us still stealthy?
Speaker: I don't know whether we still... but You guys still get your advantage on your initiative roles. i was i was I was mistaken on that. it's we don't get We don't get advantage. It's the enemies get disadvantage. But if surprise isn't a thing anymore because they know Kalen, I don't think we get the um the benefit, I'm afraid.
Speaker: You know what also sucks is I have my... It's the first time I've really kind of remembered that I have my own spells, including Pass Without Trace. But, you know, we learn. Of course you do.
Speaker: Then just clock that the other range has been casting spells this whole time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was just there with my bow. so so yeah i might still be It's still me playing this character, guys. So, yeah, I don't think we benefit from it, unfortunately. Callum holds.
Speaker: now That is fair enough, Will. I thank you for your honesty as always. But we are not rolling turds tonight for initiative.
Speaker: Okay, we we will I'm going to see if D&D Beyond has done this accurately with and initiative rolls.
Speaker: Remy, what did you get? but got a 19.
Speaker: 19. so it's clearly not done this accurately. Caelan, what did you get? 20. it's done yours. And Elysio, what did you get?
Speaker: ah i got a 24. And as part of my um alert feat, I would like to, if Ian is willing, I'd like to swap my place with his place yeah to give him my initiative. Okay.
Speaker: Is that something you can do when you're so far away? ah Immediately after you roll initiative, you can swap your initiative with the initiative of one willing ally in the same combat. Woohoo! Not specify Fair enough. Doesn't specify any range. So be it So, Alessio, you are now on a 20. Yep.
Speaker: And Caelan, you are now on 24. Thank you. thank you
Speaker: figured I'd give you the yeah best chance to get her, you know. yeah Which is quite possibly going to be a good thing. Top of the round, Kalen.
Speaker: you Now, Kalen, you said at the start of all of this, you prefaced this with we know about these creatures from the Jewel of the Desert, right?
Speaker: You've heard of the spherical ones, yes. Right. I know that they've got ranged attacks from that. Yes. Okay, so I know that I'm in somewhat trouble. How high the up did I make it, out of interest?
Speaker: ah The whole building is 120 feet. So you're about 100 feet still off the ground. 100 feet in the air. That's pretty good as far as fucking um cover goes. I'm going
Speaker: to... I'm going to just... see how this round goes before Aaron to disengage because I'm not entirely sure what matey boy in the middle is going to be doing.
Speaker: Um, so let me,
Speaker: let me attack. Let me attack.
Speaker: Yeah, let's do it. Okay. Okay.
Speaker: I'm going to, first off, going to put on a Hunter's Mark.
Speaker: <unk>da Sorry, guys. I should be better here. Favoured enemy. There it is. I have hunted marks prepared and can cast it without expending a spell slot three times per long rest. Hunters mark on the um big creature in the center with the many faces.
Speaker: Lovely, lovely. That's a bonus action for that. and That is one bonus action. And now I'm going to, so I magically mark one creature I can see within range, which is 90 foot. I'm 90 foot away, yeah.
Speaker: ah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You'll you'll be fine on that. um until spend a l a little bit du bore Until the spell ends, I deal an extra 1d6. Force damage to the target whenever you hit it with an attack roll. You also have advantage on any wisdom, perception, survival check you make to find it.
Speaker: And then i can move it if and when this thing drops to 0 HP. So I'm going to let loose an arrow from Whisper.
Speaker: And I'm going to hit the creature in the middle. Okay, roll to hit. Let's go straight in. Let's do our thing. Ooh, that's tasty. 24. 24 hits. points of piercing damage.
Speaker: 11 points, lovely.
Speaker: that is eleven points of piercing damage
Speaker: point louis one point of force damage and it's because i'm a master with my long bow it's got the slow condition on it so if you hit a creature with a long bow and deal damage to the creature you can reduce its speed by 10 until the start of my next turn that is wonderful i'm also going to knock another arrow and fire it For a fucking crit, motherfucker. Let's go. Let's go. It's on already.
Speaker: Callum, how do you do your crits? Will, what's a normal way to do them? I just like to do double damage. So normally you you can either you can either roll the dice and double it or you roll double the dice. I believe the traditional way is to roll the dice twice.
Speaker: Roll your damage die twice. Don't forget, you also, Hunter's Mark also is doubled as well. What a lovely thing to be doing. who What a shitty roll.
Speaker: But you get to try again. Ten points of piercing damage, which is just horrible. And for the force damage, that's coming in at a solitary six force damage.
Speaker: That's quite a reasonable amount of damage in one row. That's not bad. stick that's That's really, really good looking damage it just for two bow shots. And yeah, I'm also going to... It's done a decent whack of damage.
Speaker: Yeah, that's me completely done. um Yeah, ah what's it looking like after it takes those damage? it it's been hit hard it's been hit hard you can see even from your range there are um sparks that are kind of flying off it and you've kind of cracked a lot of its armor with these two really powerful shots from whisper okay let's fucking go lovelyly lovely lovely
Speaker: I'm going to actually, I've got my movement still, haven't I? You do still have your movement? Yes. I've given you guys the lay of the land. I'm going around the back of this building now. I've got 35 feet of movement, Callum. So i'm going to move ah I'm going to move anti-clockwise because my teammates are on the left-hand side of me. So I'm moving around the left-hand side of this roof. Yeah. 35 feet.
Speaker: Okay, do king so that would put you pretty much in the middle on the left-hand side of the place of worship.
Speaker: That's fair. ah Next up is Alessio.
Speaker: The window I'm near, it open? Yes. It is shut at the moment, but you obviously you can see through it. um It is just farmland on the other side of this window.
Speaker: Crops have been ploughed. But you can clearly see from your point of view. You've got a decent cone of vision. yeah ah from here. The only ones you really can't see are the ones on the very, very far east, but pretty much every other enemy ah you have decent line of sight for.
Speaker: Yeah, it's just know the ones on the left I want to go for because um my bow has got shitty range. um Okay. um Okay, what I'm going is can i will it take an action for me to open the window?
Speaker: Kind of would, yeah. Okay. I kind of think it would do. You could be really dramatic and you can die through it if you want to try and make some kind of dexterity check and smash through the window, but... Not his kind of style. and That's fine. um
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah, right. In that case, I am going to push open the window. And then I'm going to use my cunning action, and I'm going to call D&D 5.5 rule here, because I am basically um behind three quarters cover, I would assume, given this window that I'm in.
Speaker: Or I can duck down behind this window. You can duck down. if you'd be If you ducked down, you'd have about three quarters cover, yes. I'm going to duck down, and I wish to make take the hide action, please. Ooh.
Speaker: Okay. Absolutely you can do. um So I need to make a... Now, according to rules, it says with the height action, you try to conceal yourself. To do so, you must exceed a DC 15 dexterity stealth check whilst you are heavily obscured or behind three quarters covered or total cover.
Speaker: Well, you are definitely obscured. I haven't dropped concentration yet either, so you're still on the pass without trace because that's not been dropped yet. Thanks. What's what's the range of pass without trace? 30 feet. 30 feet. He's still close enough.
Speaker: He's 39 feet away from you. Oh, that's a big farmhouse. Solstice. Yeah. i'll I'll roll it anyway. Don't worry. You have decent decks and stuff. That's 25 without bonuses. that been with, Yeah.
Speaker: So not now, quote because these new rules under the hide thing, really important here. um Once I've passed the check, um you have to be out of enemy's line of sight. And if you can see a creature, you can discern whether it can see you on a successful check. I now have the invisible condition.
Speaker: Oh, shit. And I may notice the the checks total, which is the DC for a creature to find me with its perception check. The condition of being invisible ends. ah If I make a sound loud whisper and whisper, an enemy finds you, I make an attack roll or I cast a spell with a verbal component. But essentially, anywhere I move now, I'm invisible.
Speaker: That's sick. It's a very, very cool way Hyde works in Dindy 24, which we've never actually used because we've not had a stealth party before. Yeah, we've never really had stealth characters. yeah Anything else for you there, Alessio?
Speaker: i said I've opened the window. i have um made myself ah in cover, so I'm not going to be a target for the moment. No. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. ah Remy, you are up.
Speaker: Yeah, what Remy's going to do is the raptor's eye is just staring out of that window in front of him, kind of like that when it looks through the door in Jurassic Park. And Remy's just going to click the heels and his hand crossbow is on like a lanyard kind of like um leash on on the raptor's saddle. He's going to pick that up and he's going to G the raptor out the door. I've got 40 feet of movement.
Speaker: that gets me there, I think.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. And ah do I have line of sight on any of these creatures? Not creatures, robots. Constructs.
Speaker: Constructs. You have a perfect line of sight on this one. ah You can partially see this one, but if you attack the one further to the south rather than the one to the north, the one to the south would have half cover ah just because it is kind of around some crates.
Speaker: Okay, bonus action. I'm going to put Hunter's Mark on the one I've got a clear line on. Mm-hmm. And I'm going to just do it. Get that old man you crossbowed. and I'm just going to take a little shot with that crossbow straight at that son bitch.
Speaker: Roll to hit, Darren. Roll to hit. That's what I'm doing, boy.
Speaker: what Donkey biscuits. 25. That hits. Okay. Well, that's a turret. Five points of piercing damage. Five points of piercing damage. Lovely. ah Let me go let me go and get ready with that old Hunter's Mark. Here comes the Hunter's Mark force damage.
Speaker: That's two points of force damage. Well, at least that's seven total, yeah. Absolutely. Wonderful, wonderful. I'm then going to vex this son bitch, which means until the end of my next turn, or my next attack, rather, I get advantage on the damn thing.
Speaker: Excellent, excellent. I'm about shield again, boy, and I got advantage now, so I see you real good. have images of Remy talking to himself like this while he's doing this combat as well. I imagine we can hear him. Okay, then. That's a 17 to hit right there.
Speaker: That's a hit as well? Oh, prepare to get fucked. It's another five points piercing damage. Lovely, lovely. And the hunter's mark damage as well.
Speaker: The force damage is three this time. Three points of force damage. Lovely, lovely. A quick couple of arrow shots fling out from your hand crossbow. I don't wish to be pedantic, but arrows are the guy. I said crossbow. I didn't say crossbow bolt, but fine. Fine. They fling out from your crossbow, these bolts do.
Speaker: And with a heavy impact, they kind of peers into the side of this drone. And it very quickly just falls flat to the ground for this one. And, well, it is done.
Speaker: It is sexy to me.
Speaker: ah Yeah, that that is the end of my turn. What he will do is he'll just drop the crossbow and the crossbow, because it's on the lanyard, will just swing back into the um saddle so that next time he's ready with the rapier.
Speaker: Okay, that is lovely. Okay, now I've got some ah movement to do on these types of creatures. um The one that you couldn't quite hit there, Remy, just because it was in half cover, is going to move out, and it's going to attempt to kind of fire its own version. You kind of recognize it almost as like a ah crossbow yourself, but more of a mechanical ah type of version. So it's almost like an automatic load and shut type of ah situation for it.
Speaker: And it goes for a 23 to hit. Oh, shitty biscuits. Aiming for me or is it aiming for folly? It is aiming for you.
Speaker: Son of bitch. Yep. I'm assuming that hits. Yeah. Fantastic. Fucking hits. Good. Good. Good. You take a whole three points of um force damage.
Speaker: against you from that attack. But that is all it's going to do against you. That is all it can do. A lot of these other drones, they are...
Speaker: e eight the You all have very high perception, so you're all able to kind of envision this. They seem to be reacting to the siren that this central ah drone sent off, and they're all moving inwards.
Speaker: are now all starting to move inwards. The basic destination is they are heading towards the place of worship where as far as most of them are concerned, it's the only place where anybody actually is.
Speaker: Now, one is currently within range of you there, Kalen. You are still high up, but it has a decent range. So it is going, again, it's like automatic crossbow type of thing. It's going to fling over towards yourself.
Speaker: And that is for a 23 to hit. Oh, yeah, that hits. No, it's not. It's for a 21 to hit. My apologies.
Speaker: Oh, that misses. Okay, cool. No, it hits. Not all of us build characters at level five with AC to 21. That's just you. AC to 21. I could do that at level one, my friend.
Speaker: um You take four points of force damage as this crossbow kind of... Crossbow bolt flings up and just scrapes your arm. I'm going to see if this one...
Speaker: Yeah, there is also one of these floating diamond kind of drones as well that is just within range of you as well, Caelan. So he is going to attempt an attack at yourself.
Speaker: Damn, I am rolling really, really well. ah That is an unnatural 20. Yeah, that hits. Yeah.
Speaker: and you take an additional four points of force damage dick from that.
Speaker: me He's not got the angle. The um creature in the middle that set off the alarm, it's now kind of buzzing it out.
Speaker: Still noise, but... in different pictures and at different intervals. You all hear the change. It stopped from this annoying siren to kind of varying noises that it's just going to start to put out.
Speaker: And that is all that they can actually do at the moment. So we move back again to the top of the round with Kalen. You're taking a crossbow bolt to the arm. Bastards.
Speaker: Not a fan.
Speaker: Have I got sight on the big face guy that i hit last time? ah From your position, you've you've pretty much got a good line of sight on everything aside from what's east of the that place of worship.
Speaker: I like that very much. um Well, my sniper skills are with me, and I'm going to fire at Big Beastie Boy still. Lovely. Go damage him. That'll do. 19. That's hit.
Speaker: go damage that will do nineteen that's a hit I'm going to put Dreadful Strike on this one. Dreadful Strike? Which, once per turn, ah when you attack a creature and hit it with a weapon, you can deal an extra 2d6. Now, i've got that will be 3d6 with my um Hunter's Mark as well. So let's do 10 points of fear piercing damage.
Speaker: Right here. And the force damage is coming in now. That's one point of force damage. And because of my dreadful spike strike even, that is seven points of psychic damage.
Speaker: And then as he whips almost as one, he's just taking another arrow out of his quiver and notching it, loosening it for a sexy 23 to hit.
Speaker: That's a hit. Feeling good about this. That's four. Oh, how much was that? Seven points of piercing damage. Lovely, lovely. And the extra force damage.
Speaker: Six points of force damage. Fantastic. You lay off a couple more arrows from your whisper, both of which you can kind of see. Sorry, Callum. Sorry, Callum. I hate to be that guy as well. The reason I just rolled a con save was because I took damage to see if I kept that punter's mark and Calum will also have to roll a con save to make sure that punter's mark damage hits.
Speaker: Okay. Thank you very much. Well remember, Darren. Fuck. Sorry. No, no, no. yeah Appreciate the honest. So con save, yeah? Con save. We only did like to today say three points of damage anyway. That was 20.
Speaker: Yeah, passed that. both keep on this mark. Lovely pass. Lovely pass. Um... The next two arrows fly out from whisper, to glide over the ear straight down. You're able to kind of penetrate what you would deem the eyes of these types of creatures. So two of the heads push, these arrows go straight into it and with kind of a ah fizzle and a bang, which not ironically relates fizzle bang. ah It, uh, legs start to kind of crumble away.
Speaker: And this five headed, mechanical beast is just kind of crumpled to the ground. And this noise that was like whining over the village just seems to stop.
Speaker: Fuck. Yeah. So I'm talking about, I've got 35 feet of movement and I'm carrying on South of the tower. So circumnavigating it around anti-clockwise.
Speaker: Fantastic. So you still are you going further down south then? Yep. I get to move my Hunter's Mark now as well. Yep. Which target would you like?
Speaker: I'm going to go for the one that hit me, which is the one straight down to the left, on the yeah just floating on the ground nearly there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lovely, lovely.
Speaker: That's the end of my game. Fantastic. Thank you very much there, Caelan. Focus on clearly the big bad of this thing. Alessio, you are up. Excellent. Alessio, being in potentially invisible, I'm going to pop up in the window and as attacks from invisible count as with advantage, I'm going to shoot the drone that is 77 feet away from me in the in sort of in the middle of the square. do you know Callum, is that okay? There's one.
Speaker: Yep, yep, yep, yep. I'm going to shoot that one. Cool. And cut. Go for it. Because I have advantage from being invisible, um I'm going to also be adding my sneak attack to it. Should I hit? Of course. um You look rogue.
Speaker: Ooh, ooh, It's not great. It's not great. It's a 12 to hit. That's a miss. Ah! how Hang minute, hang minute. Can I use my side-bolted neck? Yes, you can. Um...
Speaker: Oh, no. If you found an ability check using... No, it's an ability check. It doesn't work with those... I ask you what? You're a human, aren't you? I can my Heroic Inspiration. Don't you an inspiration at the start of every day?
Speaker: Yeah, I can. Booyah. Thank very much. I will re-roll that. Oh, shit. Look at this. you use it? i've I've never used... i think I'm going to use my Heroic Inspiration to re-roll that. Thanks. Yes, you're most welcome. 14?
Speaker: ah fourteen wo Still misses. Still misses. so ah Yeah, fair enough. Still misses. Okay. um So as this arrow flies out and just misses the drone, annoyingly, ah I'm going to use my bonus action to duck down and hide again using cunning action.
Speaker: So, you want me to make another stealth check? Make another stealth check for me, please. Ducky down.
Speaker: Stealthy boy. That's a dirty 20 on my stealth check. So in order to see you, do I need to make a perception thing that beats that? In order to see me, they've got to make a a they've got to make a perception check of a DC of 20 to know where I am. Okay. All right. That's perfectly fine.
Speaker: Lovely. Anything else you'd like to do there, Will? That is it. I've shot. I'm out of the way. Done. Fantastic. Remy.
Speaker: You're on yeah the west side of this. The technique here is that Aliso is much better if if they are hidden. so So seeing Remy knows that these bolts are coming out from Aliso, all these these shots are coming out from Aliso.
Speaker: so literally almost as the shots come he he says in the same kind of almost like six seconds he goes i'm over here you're floating male genitalia and what he's going to do is he's going to ride towards so he's going to just click the saddle and ride towards the one that is directly in front of him that shot at him yep get there because he's less than 40 feet away ah does this count as a small creature that's my next question That is a very, very good question.
Speaker: i am not 100% sure. Straight off the top of my head.
Speaker: No, it does not. It is a medium creature. Shitfire. Alright, if it was small, I'd get advantage on it because I'm mounted, but... Alas, it ain't. So I'm going to try and poke him with my rapier.
Speaker: Darren's big stick is coming out. we both Sorry, before I do that, well when it's a gnome, we technically call it a big willy. I think before I do that, I'm going to do is I'm going to move Hunter's Mark on that son bitch.
Speaker: It's time to get stabby.
Speaker: Ooh, a 19 to hit. That's a hit. Get ready take some motherfucking damage, boy. It is.
Speaker: Oh, it's getting 11 points of rapier damage. Very, very nice. It's then going to whirl around. I'm going to vex that son of a bitch, so this time I'm going to get some fucking advantage.
Speaker: but it's a good job I got the advantage because that would have been a natural one, but as I have it, it's a 16. 16 hits. Get some more damage down you boy.
Speaker: That's a 13 points of damage. Lovely, lovely. With another damage couple of quick rapier strikes from Remy against this flying spherical contract. well construct Roll for the damage, but yes, as you can probably imagine. forgot to roll that twice. I got to roll it twice. Oh, six points of false damage total.
Speaker: it was pretty much down with your rapier damage anyway. a couple of quick strikes will be with this one. Falls to the ground with the fizzles and the sparks, ah just like the others that you're starting to see drop now.
Speaker: Anyone else fancy being introduced to my fine little wavy sword? And that's the end of my turn.
Speaker: and lovelyly Lovely, lovely. Now, most of these, they're going to be kind of following the last... instruction um that they got. They are still heading to basically the location where they saw or were told that Caelan was.
Speaker: But for most of them, he's moved.
Speaker: So he's kind of not there, but there are a couple that can still lay their eye on him just at the back. So the one that you have moved your Hunter's Mark to there, Ian, he is going to take an attempt to try and shoot at yourself with his crossbow bolts.
Speaker: which is for a 12 to hit. It misses. He misses. It flings past you with graze. You hear the noise kind of pass through your ear.
Speaker: And then one of the diamond-shaped constructs as well just has line of sight towards you. he is going to attempt a another ranged attack with you.
Speaker: That one is for...
Speaker: oh That's a 10 to hit, so that's not going to hit. couple of quick arrows fly past you and you're able to just dodge them with your acute awareness. The one that you shot at Alessio, he's going to move down.
Speaker: He's almost or was like he's scanning for you, and he's going to try and make a perception check to see if he can find you and see you.
Speaker: Okay. Absolutely fucking not. um He got... No, passive on that one. No, he just rolled a straight 13, so he does not find you, and he does nothing on his turn.
Speaker: Now, without my big bad here, unfortunately, a lot of the other stuff I had planned has kind of gone to shit. But there we go. Caelan, top of the round. You're up. I'm going fire at the motherfucker that i got the hunter's mark on Let's fucking do this. That's just the one just down to the left. Yeah, he's just leaning over and he's just going to fire down for 17 to hit.
Speaker: Which is a hit. So that's going to be 10 points of piercing damage. Do I still need to roll the force or is he alive? Is he dead? He's still alive at the moment.
Speaker: So let's go for that force damage of five points of force damage. Is he alive? Is he dead? He is down. That's a little bit of force damage. edge Get the fuck down.
Speaker: Hunter's Mark. Bonus action. raven Vertical kind of hit. Just finishes him off and pushes him towards the ground. uh the one that uh alessio is fine i know alessio alessio's got skill this was the other one that took a shot at you just yeah hunter's mark just to the south of the town so hang let me just the range of hunter's mark my uh it's 90 foot range uh Ooh, perfect. Absolutely Bob on. Hunter's Mark has moved to that geezer. And I'm going for a shot, side shot. Make it look good. Make it look good, Caelan, for 20 dirty.
Speaker: That absolutely hits. Dirty 20. Dirty 20. for six points of piercing damage, and he's going for that sexy force damage. Caelan's feeling good about this. So is Ian. Four points force damage, and that's the end of my go I'm going to stay in that position. It's a pretty sweet spot that I found myself in.
Speaker: Thank you. Fantastic. Lovely. Couple kills. Caelan's on it. Well, you're all doing really, really well against these guys. Alessio, you're up. Teamwork to go.
Speaker: That is going to play peekaboo and pop up again and be like, peekaboo and shoot the guy. Come on, you can hit it this time, Will. I believe you. I'm going to remember to add my advantage this time as well because I didn't last time, you know.
Speaker: Oh, shit. Hang on. Oh, no. I don't have to make a con save. I'm good. i we didn't Carry on. Thanks.
Speaker: Yes! It's a crit! crit! Now let's see it's coming back for revenge. Right, so shortbow adds a crit damage.
Speaker: Do all those die? So it takes 22 points of piercing damage. o Is it still alive? ah That's one... Is there anything else that goes on from the attack?
Speaker: ah it's pi i i can add so I can add sneak attack if i need to. But it's an option. Yes. Let's not waste it then. 22 points of damage is enough to take this one out in one fell swoop.
Speaker: Fantastic. There's no point adding. He's down. So yeah pop up, shoot it, kill it, and then guess what I'm going to do as a bonus action? I'm going to hide.
Speaker: Oh, dear me. It's like whack-a-mole. This guy is built for a reason. I passed the DC just. It's a very low DC. It's only a DC of 15 this time. Whoa.
Speaker: And then that's it. And then we go. Not a problem. Remy, you're up. You and Folly.
Speaker: Yeah, Folly was growling at that one that was just in front of the window, and all of a sudden the bolt well, it doesn't matter how they go down, Folly, as long as they go down, you can still fuck up another one. And what I'm going to do is just click ah my heals, and I'm going to move Folly 40 feet forwards, which will put me about there.
Speaker: Once I drop the ruler down, hold on. Thank you for that.
Speaker: I now need to check the ruler again to see if I'm now within 30 feet. I'm not. Dang. So what I will do is I will use my bonus action to dash folly another 40 feet.
Speaker: Run folly. And I'm going to this time move inland to around about
Speaker: here. Now I'm within 30 feet of the wand directly to the south east of me. So what I'm going to do is the the um lanyard crossbow is going to come up and I'm going to take two shots at him.
Speaker: I won't be getting Hunter's Mark on this though because I've not had the means to move it. Is it Folly that did the dash then rather than you? Yeah, I can use a bonus action to command Folly to take an action. But now I can't use my bonus action to move Hunter's Mark. So...
Speaker: But you can do next turn. I can do next turn. Yeah, because it persists. Oh, it's cheated on the crit, but it's a 21.
Speaker: That hits. I'm going to vex this son of a bitch as well. So he's going to take eight points piercing damage. Lovely, lovely. Because he vexed, he vexed. I'm going to go for a double looking robber. That's not a good roll.
Speaker: But there it is. It's 25 to hit. That's a hit.
Speaker: Well, poo sticks. Five points of piercing damage. It is enough just for this pyramid-styled one just to short-circuit and fall to the ground.
Speaker: Yep, and that's before he's so used to moving like this efficiently. Drops the crossbow, rape you back out of the sheaf. Fantastic, fantastic. Is that everything you're doing there, Darren?
Speaker: It sure far is. Right, okie dokie. It is now the turn of all these creatures. um so I'm just going to do a quick check with the ruler. They can't quite get to you on that one. So a lot of them now are going to come ah into view view of you, Darren. They've seen you. You've kind of dove into the middle of where they all are.
Speaker: And as you're the one that's done the attack against one of these, all five of these creatures are basically going to be firing their attacks at yourself. So I'm going to do a quick dice shit.
Speaker: ah she
Speaker: The lowest one was... I got an 11, 15, 20, and two 23s. The and the 15 miss the other three hit.
Speaker: Fantastic, fantastic. Not fantastic. So for all five of these creatures, there's a barrage of bolts are all aimed at you No. you take 19 points.
Speaker: nineteen points of force damage as three of these automatic crossbow bolts actually connect with you.
Speaker: Let's get you out there. That one's still coming down. But that is the end of everything that they are doing at the moment. And we move back to the top of the round with Kalen.
Speaker: Caelan's going move Hunter's Mark to the drone that's nearest to him on the north side. double Lovely, lovely. And he's going to fire at that motherfucker. I thought you would do. Roll to hit. Yeah, let's fucking go. i don't think you've missed yet.
Speaker: I'm going to miss. No, no, I'm not. No, you're not. That's a hit. Oh, this is just target practice. That's six points of piercing damage. He's also got the slow, so he's now, ah he can't move. It's 10...
Speaker: ah feet He's got the slow thing. So 10 feet less to his movement as he also takes some force damage there, which is going to be a sexy five points of force damage. that's six piercing, five force. Is he still up?
Speaker: He's still up. He's going to hit.
Speaker: Oh, man. It's just target. sha Target for day. 17. That's a hit. Let's fucking do this. Whisper. Killing it. Four points of piercing damage. Lovely.
Speaker: ah Four points of force damage.
Speaker: That's enough for your next target. Another couple of quick whisper arrow shots takes him down. So the one that is just in front of the um house of worship crumbles to the ground. Okay.
Speaker: I saw ah Remy take a barrage of hits, so I'm going to move my 35 feet of movement north now. So what I've been doing this whole time is circumnavigating clockwise across the tower to get myself into a lesser seen position. Now that I've killed quite a few, I'm going to bridge the gap and make my way back round clockwise now, 35 feet of movement, and bring myself more out into the open. End of my go. Thank you all.
Speaker: Lovely, lovely. Fantastic. Alessio, you're up. Excellent. I am invisible because I'm cool. Is the window easy to climb out of
Speaker: Enough where I'm not really going to give you any kind of penalty to movement. Cool. Alessia's going to climb out the window and move to the nearby cart that is putting bit of cover. Five, ten, fifteen, Yeah, and the cart gives you cover as well. and Cool. that's um And now, um I'm still technically invisible because it takes a search action to detect me.
Speaker: Okay. um So, we and well, until I shoot them, that is. um Pardon? Yeah, rolling with advantage. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Yeah, I'm going to do it this way. So ah as he's run, Alessio's let go of the... ah or sort put the bow back on his back. And as he runs, um his hands are sort of extended out. And as he does so, um this... um energy starts to glow and these blades form around ah in his hands. And as he reaches the cart, he is going to throw this psychic dagger towards the drone 50 feet away because it has a i have a nice thrown range of 60 feet.
Speaker: um So yeah, let's see what happens with this with advantage. Come on, Will.
Speaker: That's an 18 to hit. That's a hit. Excellent. So it will take seven points of psychic damage.
Speaker: Very, very nice. It will also take ah seven points of psychic damage as a sneak attack. Even nicer. Lovely, lovely. One dagger has done quite a decent bit of damage.
Speaker: yeah And then because the great thing about the psychic blades is as a bonus action, I can make a second attack with the other blade. So basically this blade spins through the air, hits the thing, and disappears.
Speaker: And then the second one awesome gets to also get thrown. And because it's it's different to the dual wielding thing, I get to add my modifiers to it, which is great. But not sneak attack.
Speaker: But not sneak attack. already used it. Okay, cool. And oh the creature's also under Vex, which means my next attack is at advantage. So that's this attack, um which is fun.
Speaker: um
Speaker: Yes, so I will make a second attack. Advantage. a Second one is a 22 to hit. That's a hit. And this one will then take another seven points of psychic damage as the blade whistles through the air and ah hits it and then disappears as it sinks into it.
Speaker: And that second like invisible blade that is going to collide and give a bit of force damage kind of just blows away the side of this drone and it just blasts it and crashes it down to the floor.
Speaker: That's another one that barks the dust. Huzzah! We've gone from quite a few ground to a mere four left at the moment of these ah these odd constructs.
Speaker: Anything else you can do? ah No, but it's also vexed, so my next attack will have advantage because it gets vexed each time I hit it with these things. Okay. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Remy.
Speaker: Remy. You're up. You took a lot of barrage last time. How would you like to respond? Pulls out one crossbow bolt, spits out a load blood, kicks the heels in, and then just rides towards the first one that is directly in front of him, which is going to be you. This one, that's du my northeast because it's within...
Speaker: 40 feet. and As I move along, bonus mark, I admit a curse in Gnomish onto this creature as I move Hunter's Mark onto it, and then I'm going to go all stabby stab.
Speaker: Let's go stabby stab. the First one's a 12 to hit. Oh no, the first stab misses. yeah Second stab is much better. It's a 25 to hit.
Speaker: and That is a hit.
Speaker: That 11 points of piercing damage. Lovely, lovely.
Speaker: And then one point of force damage. yeah Not enough to finish it, but clearly your second rapier strike has done a decent chunk of damage against it. will vex that one so my next attack against it has advantage. Start the next turn. Very, very nice. Very, very nice. That creature will respond in kind to you, but with a more up-close and personal attack instead of a yeah clockwork...
Speaker: kind of bow it's almost going to kind of spring out a dagger ah from its front and just kind of charge at you with it which is for a 16 to hit miss miss okay the one on the left is going to do the exact same as you are in its nearest vicinity uh for an 11 to hit that also misses and okay and you're gonna come down because i've really put you too far away you can't really do much at the moment um
Speaker: are you ah hiding there alessio did you take the hide action but under the of did it take a bonus action I think my one moment let me just double check I can't remember if you did yeah you used a second attack which would be a bonus action wouldn't it if it's an offhand attack no well no well yeah yeah but yeah yeah it it was a bonus action so I'm not hidden but I'm in cover but so but I'm i'm visible now yes yeah You're not in cover from this angle but from him. He's going to fire a crossbow bolt at you. Automatic loading for a 17 to hit.
Speaker: That hits. That hits.
Speaker: I did that wrong.
Speaker: That is six points of force damage against you. from the crossbow bolt and then can this last one reach you in range? Yes, it can. So there's one more kind of diamond shaped one that's just got line of sight with yourself. He is going to try and hit against you as well.
Speaker: For a 16 to hit. Yeah. Lovely. And there's another six points of force damage against you as a second crossbow bolt comes winging its way towards you.
Speaker: Nice. And that is everything. We have top of the round. We have Kaylin. Kaylin's going to move bonus action, that Hunter's Mark, to the one that's just attacked, Alessio.
Speaker: Okay, so there's one that's to the south, one that's to the north. Is it to the south one that you're attacking? It's nearest one to the north. Yeah, that's fine. Let's block that. Attack the one further away. Oh, oh oh sorry, it's too late. 21 to hit. That's a hit.
Speaker: that's a hit
Speaker: That's ah four points piercing damage. It's slowed. It's slowed. It's not moving. It's fine. And six points of force damage. Is it still up? It's still up.
Speaker: I'm going to hit it again. You can split your attacks, don't forget. I know, but like... Yeah, I know. I know. I'm going for the kill. He's on bit a streak. That's fucking 19. am firing like a demon, guys. Yeah, that's to hit. Yes, nine points of piercing damage. Any point rolling the force?
Speaker: Yes, please do. Roll the force. Use the force. Use the force. the force Six points of force. don't know. I think you've killed at least one enemy every single time on your drones ah striking. You're like an airstrike that's going around at this moment in time. Yes, that one, another quick couple shots from Whisper and the creature that was in front of you, Alessio, who's just...
Speaker: Exploded. Dropped to the ground. Amazing. I'm moving. ah Not my full feet of movement. I want to be on the corner of that building. So let's say 25 foot. Yeah. and Probably about 25 foot there.
Speaker: Amazing. End of my go. low little Thank you very, very much. Alessio. Damn it. Should have shot the one furthest away. Can't can't run and hit this one in a combat. Yeah.
Speaker: That's That's fine. It's It's cool. It's cool. cool. cool. It's It's It's cool. cool. cool. It's It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. It's It's It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. It's It's cool. It's It's cool. It's cool. cool. It's It's It's It's cool. cool. It's It's It's It's cool. cool. It's cool.
Speaker: It's It's It's cool. It's cool. It's It's cool. It's It's cool. It's It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. cool. cool. It's cool. It's It's It's It's It's cool. cool. It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. cool. It's cool. It's It's cool. It's cool. cool. It's cool.
Speaker: And I'm going to give myself advantage on my next shot. Booyah. But it does make my speed zero until the end of my next turn. Okay, fair enough. Well, and until the end of my current turn. So my next turn, I can move again. But basically this one, I basically plant my feet and take a name.
Speaker: So I'm going to give myself advantage on shooting this one with my short bow.
Speaker: Which I fucking need because I'm going to miss. That's a 12. That misses. That's a 12. You take a big breath in, you hold yourself, and you release just a little bit too early, and this thing kind of moves to the side and dodges you.
Speaker: Yeah, thought it would. um That was my bonus satisfaction. That is it. I'm done. Okay, we'll move on. Remy. You're kind of surrounded at this stage, but I'm assuming you want to do some... Yeah, I'm surrounded, but just two fights. We got a little tag team match. What I'm going to do is I've got one of these fellas is still under the Vexy Vex, so I'm going to try and stab him first because I've been doing it at advantage, boy.
Speaker: Okay, roll to hit.
Speaker: I'm assuming you're attacking the one that you are closest to. It's the one I've already hit because that's the one I got advantage on. i'll tell you what how's that for a natural 20. everyone's had a crit in this match and i love it come on remy show me what you can do oh that's another re-roll don't mean to do that wrong roll oh it takes 11. it takes 19 points piercing damage
Speaker: it takes nineteen points of piercing damage
Speaker: That's the one I already hit last time. Do I need to consider rolling the force damage as With fell swipe, you are able to crush and cut into half this one little drone that just rests in front of you with that wonderful 19 points of damage.
Speaker: I'm going to turn to the other one and go, see future bull bag, and I'm going to move in towards it, and I'm going now slice and aim for that one. Mm-hmm. A bonus action first to move Hunter's mark onto it.
Speaker: Okay. Yep. Hold on.
Speaker: No. Yeah, we're all good.
Speaker: i was going to try and do something else, but no, it's not. Keep it simple, stupid. That's an 11 to hit. Whoa, that's a miss. Should have gone with the other thing. Nevermind. That's the end of my turn.
Speaker: lovely lovely I only have two of these ah little drones left. Now, the last one that is near to yourself there, Remy, is going to start to shake violently. Sparks are going to try and fly off him and shoot him off left, right, and center.
Speaker: He's going to attempt to self-destruct. Can you make a dexterity saving throw? if you please.
Speaker: can hold on i have a fin for this with my mount through mounted combat hold on do this that comes to a dexterity saving for yeah let me find it first
Speaker: it's some features and traits like a bomb from fan fancy it just takes yeah yeah yeah it's not actually talking at hits yet but it's a all right no quite desperate yeah if yeah leap aside, if your mount is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage on the success and only half damage on a fall. To use this benefit, you must be riding the mount and neither of us can be incapacitated.
Speaker: Okay, that's fine. Still need that dexterity saving throw? You're getting in it. Don't worry, I'll get your fucking horses. 18. ah That is a pass as this thing explodes and shrapnel just kind of flies everywhere. You and your mount are able to dexterously just leap to one side and almost kind of take a little bit of cover. Maybe with a little bit of luck, you are safe from any damage whatsoever. I'm just going to lean in and pat folly and go, good boy, you're a good boy, stupid fucking boy. And he's going to kind of rub his head back towards you as you're patting him as well.
Speaker: Yeah, and as I do that, I'm also with one name. He's just saved me from a nasty explosion. i'm just going to feed him some meat, and that's's that's the end of my reaction, to feed my raptor after it saves me from a bomb.
Speaker: That's fair enough. that's fair enough And I only have one pitiful little drone left, but he's still going to attempt to attack, and he's going to go against you still, Will. Alessio, you're the one inside his locked
Speaker: Very methodical. 17 to hit.
Speaker: Hits.
Speaker: And that is five points of force damage against you as one lone solitary crossbow bolt flings its way and finds it's connecting to you.
Speaker: Okay. I'm still up. That's the end of the round. Top of it. Caelan, you're up. You are poised at the top. You have a perfect line of sight of the last drone.
Speaker: Let's fucking go. 16. It hits. Let's fucking do this. That is seven points of piercing damage. Lovely, lovely. light Oh, shit.
Speaker: Force damage coming in. Four points of force damage going in. Straight in for another arrow. For 23 to hit.
Speaker: He's just rolling bombs. Five points of piercing damage going straight for the force damage because he don't give a shit this point. He's just firing out. It's three points of force damage. Tell me, Adam. Tell me
Speaker: You fire out two volleys from Whisper. They connect. They hit hard. They smash into the side of this construct.
Speaker: He struggles for a brief moment.
Speaker: And then regains his composure. He's still up. But he's looking very heavily down. What? What? But it leads us to Alessio.
Speaker: Come on, Alessio. Right. You see an opening. I'm going to fucking take that opening. um In the words of everyone, don't fuck up. Do I shoot it or do I do i shoot it with advantage or do I get up close and personal?
Speaker: Oh, the choices. um
Speaker: I think... I'm
Speaker: ah going give myself advantage because... um You can. Why not?
Speaker: Yeah, because i'm going to take steady aim and give myself advantage. It's going to kind sneak attack to it. um Because, well, fuck to hit.
Speaker: Meets it beats. Yeah.
Speaker: ah It takes seven points of piercing damage.
Speaker: And it takes eight points of sneak attack damage. How did it go down, Will? Oh, it's it's it's it's very simple. Alessio's not flashy. He plants his feet down. He's seen Kalen shooting like the bomb out of everything around here. And you know he's seen Kalen do some good stuff. And he just, notch and arrow, points, draws back, looses.
Speaker: Hopefully Kalen would appreciate the technique. And it just yeah it hits it stra smack bang himing in the middle, just finds that weak point. And yeah, done. And to the ground...
Speaker: it comes crashing. And all these constructs that you have seen, they start to almost disintegrate away. The materials that once held them together just seem to teeter off and drift into the air.
Speaker: Alessio and Remy, you guys move to like the centre of of this village and Cailin you start making your way down from your very advantageous point on the church and the eerie silence has now kind of started to lift a little bit There's a bird that you can actually hear. Something very poignant for yourselves, being members of the Winged Watch, that has come back and has perched itself on top of the statue in the middle of this a mini halfway house.
Speaker: You all breathe, taking a big
Speaker: inward breath. ah li A moment of respite. Then you all look north towards the tavern. as you hear the squeak of a door opening.
Speaker: And that is where we'll leave it for tonight's episode of The Fellowship of the Tabletop. Booyah! Guys, thank you very, very much for listening. I very much hope you enjoyed this little bit of combat-heavy episode, but there is so much more of this story to tell, and I hope you are going to be here with us for the rest of the journey. Thank you very much to my players, Will, Ian, and Darren.
Speaker: I will be seeing them next week, and I really hope to be having you will listen to me next week as well. Until next time, guys. I'm not going to say farewell because Ian likes to cut off the end of this session.
Speaker: ah Bye-bye. Bye-bye.
