00:00:49
Speaker
Let's say hello to my good, good, good, good, good buddy. Tom, good morning, Tom. Oh, like seven goods. I'll take it, buddy. Yeah, buddy. I'm fantastic, man. That's so good. It's been such a beautiful couple of days here. Oh, mayor my man. My favorite time of day of any time of year is like just after dawn and just like going on. I added some chores to run this morning. So I was in the truck driving down this like beautiful Vermont paradise I live in and the sun and the blue sky. And it's just like the best. I can't help but feel phenomenal. You know, dude, I have I have made some drives up to see you and like when it's sunny and the sun's peeking through the trees on like some of those back roads, dude, you are not kidding, man. It is it it is unbeatable. I was actually it's funny that I was in the truck with my dad yesterday and I'm looking around and like we were
00:01:40
Speaker
of landscaping so it was like yeah kind of a bitch but we're I'm looking around I'm like dude western New York and like just the northeast in general dude in in summer dude I think it's unbeatable bro like it sucks that half of our year is so so so so shitty because The times of the year where it's nice, it is unbeatable here, bro. I promise. It's so good. Yeah, man. I'm completely there with you, but you know, yeah. Yeah. So good, man. Yeah. You know what? He makes it even better. So go ahead. Go ahead. go ahead now I'm just like, look at where I am, dude. I'm at the lake, dude. It's gorgeous out. Like I'm in my own little paradise here. Yeah.

Binge-Watching NFL Shows and Insights

00:02:16
Speaker
but love I love that. You're you just shacking up the on the porch. I love that for you.
00:02:21
Speaker
Um, the best thing about it is there's like this smell in the air too, you know, and and you can just smell NFL season coming, buddy. Oh, buddy, dude, I did get out of bed. I got a bed here by the water this morning and it was a cool 59 to start. ah I was like, somebody throw me a football immediately. Yeah, man, it's coming on its way, folks. It's on its way. And I don't know about you, man, but I have just been hoovering up every bit of NFL content I can right now. I watched that receiver show, but binged it. Phenomenal. So fun. I love that there's not really any Chiefs players on it this year, so that made it more fun. um and Watching ah the HBO Max hard knocks with the Giants right now.
00:03:04
Speaker
to um so i haven't i haven't watched all the receiver yet i've been i've i think i'm two episodes into receiver so it's just where they like intro all the guys they're following yeah but dude hard knocks this offsea this off season hard knocks right now i am honestly dude like i'm a little bit in shock as to like the access that we're getting dude like watching watching joe shane handle like all of the all of the sequon parkley stuff dude like getting getting ends on those conversations bro i am like it's it's almost kind of validating dude because
00:03:38
Speaker
They just do pretty much the same shit that we

NFL Management and Draft Processes

00:03:41
Speaker
do. They just have a lot more resources to get the more accurate information. Yeah. But it is all a bunch of dumb podcasters like us bro straight up. They're talking about sick when they're like, ah, man, are we sure nobody's going to pay him that kind of money? Like, do we know what we're doing here? And they're like, ah, there's no way to know. I bet there is. I bet there is. You know, like it's just it's just kind of validating as a fan, you know, I was even saying this to Jake, cause we were chatting about that. Like, I also kind of wonder what aren't we seeing? Cause we're seeing a lot and you know that there is a filter somewhere. There's gotta be, right? yeah There's gotta be a filter at some point. Just at this point, it seems a much wider filter than I would have ever expected. totally So like what,
00:04:22
Speaker
you know I don't know. Is it the owner or being upset with Joe Shane or something? Like, I'm sure we said that was probably stuff like that that we can't see. Totally. Did you do remember the scene where they they were interviewing the quarterbacks at the drafts and they were like hitting it with all these questions yeah and then like tables like stop. What was that play? I asked you 10 minutes ago and the kids like rattle it off. I'm like, dude, these these kids are like, what are they? Twenty twenty one, twenty two somewhere in there. Some of these QBs. And it's just like, dude, the knowledge that they already have, like, especially the guys coming out of the SEC. that run like a like a close to a pro style offense. Whoo. It's sick. Yeah. Yeah, dude.

Review of 'Receiver' Show and Athletic Families

00:04:59
Speaker
It's it's impressive. Yeah, that was that was fun to see the the draft process. Yeah, it was. Yeah. um Have you enjoyed receiver? you've you've You've dug it. I loved it, man. It was great. but man george gitle is halar I I do what episode? And I'm like, I freaking love this guy. He's just got the persona. He's bigger than life. You know, like he really is. You're not.
00:05:20
Speaker
I love that guy and like I've always loved him and now I just adore him even more. Um, I'm gonna say Brown is a freaking maniacal dude. That guy, he, he, he took all, he did the Michael Jordan shit of like, okay, you're going to draft me 16th, you know, or 16th receiver that draft whenever he was picked like, you step in and then being able to name all the guys drafted before him, dude. and but And now he's putting them his, you know, his ah money where his mouth is like, he's a phenomenal receiver. Just got a monster deal. Like so good yeah that guy, man. He's a bad, we'll do when your dad's two time Mr. Olympia. I mean, man you all you know, is all you knew was dedication and and perseverance and hard work.
00:06:04
Speaker
Wait to see, his dad's a character. You'll see more in the later episodes. He's he's got some liners. He's like, really? He's got some stuff that he says. He's an intense dad, dude. No two ways about it. that's But hey, man, that's probably, you know, made him successful and got him there. A hundred percent. Yeah. Because he has a brother, right? He has, um, equanimius. Nice job, Laney. Thank you. Thank you. Equanimius, safe route. Whoo. Yeah. Plays for Chicago. um I think he did at one point. I know he did for sure at one point. I have no idea anymore. But like to have two kids go to the NFL, that's huge. Well, you got a couple of those now you got the bozos and it's huge in hockey too, man. You got brothers all over the place in hockey. It's like like too like for for a long time, it was it was the sadeen twins. um They were like they were literally twins and they were just like it was cool to watch them play because like
00:06:57
Speaker
They could be looking like off in the stands and they just knew where their brother was. And like some of the, some of the setups between those two were just legendary. Yeah. fun As, as, as a new dad, I kind of imagine it's just a carpool problem, you know, like, all right, if this kid, one of them wants to do hockey, you're both doing hockey. because we're both acting yeah Yeah. Well, so Macy's going to be calling the shots that who has the oldest one. yeah i think so Well, pal, I know it's 11 30, but it is Saturday and I am at the lake. Can we have a beer? Absolutely. I love having beer with you. um now kind of down Ready? Three, two, one. Cheers, pal. I got a little ah Rochester um goodness. Genesee mango peach colesch today. Oh, the mango peach. I haven't had that dude. Delicious. It's good. It's very good. better than his time I got to be honest. The pineapple didn't do it for me. Great. i't like It's always been phenomenal. Pineapple is strange. This one's good. This one's absolutely worth having.

Buffalo Bills Updates and Discussions

00:07:53
Speaker
that does and That's not too sweet. It sounds like it would be too sweet. It's it's like a shandy. It's definitely sweet, but it's not it's not bad. Yeah. Okay. I, uh, yeah, dude, sweet, sweets in my, in my like, no, we don't get beers that are crazy sweet unless they're like maybe sour. Sometimes sour is really sweet. Um, but like in my liquor, dude, like my liquor drinks, um, I'm just not about that life. yeah Um, ah great I've got that. Well, you can't see it now cause it's in a koozie, but I am drinking a ah new Belgium booty ranger IPA shout out to my boy, big kid, Andy Kachilov for the remix koozie.
00:08:28
Speaker
Love that guy. He's a staple. You want to sponsor the pod? Oh, baby, dude. Actually, it's so funny, dude. Well, we have some marketing ideas for the pod. We did talk about it. So we'll have to have a board meeting sometime soon. Okay. All right. hell He's got he had some thoughts. He's a brilliant business mind, dude. It's so cool. We need all the help we can get. take The truth, dude. That's the truth. pal We are going to have a three hour podcast here at this rate. Well, so so today's going to be all bills. We're talking all bills today, not really a whole lot to report in Sabers land. It's the deadest part of the off season where nothing happens. You could have something crazy happen any day last season, I believe, or two seasons ago. It was like the dead of August when Matthew Kachuk got traded to Florida. so
00:09:13
Speaker
It's always possible shit could happen, but it's the dog days of the offseason. So and we're getting pretty close to training camp here with the bills. So today's going to be a bills day. Just a couple of news items to touch on. Nothing like crazy, but just some cool things. Dion Dawkins was on the Colin Coward show this past week um and was asked about Josh Allen. One of the things that he brought up in this had me stoked, said that Josh Allen is barking in practice, dude. being a lot more vocal. Um, I don't know what that comes from, dude. I don't know if it's, you know, maybe, maybe there's a part of him that is really stoked about the way this offense is shaken out with, you know, not being forced to get a one guy, 180 targets or whatever. But, um, I love hearing that he's focal and, and, and talking a little bit of shit in practice, dude. I think that's only good for the bills team. What do you think about that, buddy? Yeah, so fun. Right. And and it's cool. Like,
00:10:08
Speaker
I never have doubted his leadership skills. um Even early on, he was captain. like He's been captain basically since he's been drafted and has been very well spoken and very well respected in the locker room. So I was never really doubting his leadership skills, but it's cool to hear him like, okay, he's taken the reins. For a while, you know as he was coming up, it was Mitch Morse. It was Cole Beasley. It was John Brown. It was these other guys that had the veterans and and now it's Josh's team. and So it's cool to see Cool to see him kind of taking the reins. I agree. um Definitely. Stokes. Stokes me up. Stokes. Stokes your fire a little bit there, Tom. That's the phrase. Yeah, that's the one.
00:10:46
Speaker
ah I'm looking over right now. We can't go live on Twitter anymore. Yeah, I just want some more money. So, um, my God, the greed, dude, that's a whole different conversation, a whole different pod. But yeah what's the second bullet point there, buddy? Sorry, I just saw that. Um, so, so, oh yeah, dude, Josh, dude. Okay. I, I'm starting to get nervous that we're gonna lose Josh Allen the quarterback because he's gonna join the PGA tour This is such a sick golfer, dude, and we'll get to the shot in a second But here's one of my favorite things about watching Josh Allen golf, dude is his personality is just Everywhere all over the course dude. Did you see the clip? yeah Walking by these two dudes and he just accepts the fantasy trade for him cause is Good bone
00:11:33
Speaker
Oh, he's so lo he's such a goof man. I love that. He's a he would be golden retriever, bro. He's a golden retriever. Yeah. Man loves like hangs out with everybody and good vibes. And yeah, and you're right, man. He was. he So last year I saw he was on um pardon my take this week, too, because they're out there doing some coverage and whatever. So he was on um with Blake Griffin, actually, which was kind of a fun little. joe Yeah. Yeah. I saw that. um And he said that ah his goal every year is just to get better. You know, last year he was in the 40s and he was just like, I want to hit the 30s. The guy, he honestly, he was which was really fun. He was 17 pretty close up to the end. And then he got like tied for 20th or something like that. Yeah. Right. But like, yeah, dude, he's such an athlete, such an athlete. Bro, that chip shot for birdie that he had there. So for those that might not have seen it, we should try and post it from our accounts. um He was I don't I'm not going to guess the footage. on I don't golf. I've golfed.
00:12:25
Speaker
I think I've up to three times now and all three times I've been drunk by a whole five. um So I'm not much of a golfer, but I i did recently go, um but one of my buddies just got married and the day of the wedding, we all went golfing. um And one of the guys that went with us is like this close to getting his accredit is PGA accreditation and lives in North Carolina as a golf instructor. Shout out Ben. um and But dude watching him golf is somebody like knows what they're doing. It was a freaking pleasure So to watch Josh Allen chip this shot from I think it's called the curtain It's like that little bit of rough just outside the green and then have it roll in like you read the break rate and everything dude it was Unfreakin believable to watch dude. He is just an absolute badass
00:13:09
Speaker
Yeah, dude, it's it's like magic. It is like magic. Magic is a good word for it. Yeah. um And then last little thing here, we got the NFL, the NFL top 100 coming out again, which never causes any controversy, controversy, excuse me, or arguments or anything of the sort. No drama. None. No drama. No drama. So we know that Josh Allen's going to be included, right? He's going to be on that list somewhere. and And for those folks who don't know, what happens is they pull players across the league. They get, have get they let them list, I think up to like 20 players and then they extrapolate that out to a list of top 100. So it's voted by the players. I don't know if anybody else gets to vote in that, but it's voted by, by players, which is cool. It doesn't seem like a big enough list of 20 players to then get you to a hundred, but
00:13:55
Speaker
whatever. It's still just, okay, recognition. You you can't really put much on this, but it's still just fun to talk about. So we know Josh is going to be involved. um who Who else do you think should be included, pal? like Of the year? Yeah, from the bills. I would say the first one that jumps to mind immediately is Matt Milano. Yeah. I think, I mean, he's pretty universally viewed as a top, I would say even top four weeks or like off-ball linebacker across the NFL. So I think him, um I would think Deion Dawkins would be, would be a lock there. Um,
00:14:31
Speaker
i Can't imagine any of these receivers that we have would make it not yet. No, um, I I mean you could make a case for Von Miller But if it's based off last season, then he might get the respect of his peers, but yeah yeah um yeah um So maybe him but if it's based off last season, I would say no um Maybe Ed maybe depending on you know, if enough lineman a lot enough lineman vote and they're like, yeah that guy's a freakin pain in the ass and Yeah, it's possible. It's possible. I wouldn't be shocked. I would be a little surprised if he was top. I would be shocked. but i'd be shocked um it's He's probably the next one after Dawkins and Milano that come to mind. But I don't think it's going to be any of the corners. I'm thinking of Russell Douglas. I'm thinking of Christian Benfred. I don't think they'll make it. Definitely not either of our two safeties. um Yeah, probably just Dan and Matt Milano. I would guess, bro.
00:15:19
Speaker
Yeah, I would think so because it's kind of interesting that like we have of an emerging crop coming, right? So my second question, my second part of this was, OK, who's not included this year but will be included next year? I like that. Okay. I got a couple of names that jumped to mind for that. Um, first one immediately to Robert. He has another, if he has another season like this, dude, like the one he just had this past season, I think he'll be a shoe in for that. Um, I think if Spencer Brown has another season or, or maybe it takes a step the way that he has, dude, I think
00:15:53
Speaker
I mean, he was so solid last season. He was great, man. yeah It's funny when you're healthy how that, you know, helps. Crazy, right? Crazy. Yep. I think Christian Benford, if he has another season, like he said, he could be another one. My favorite is Dalton Kincaid. Oh yeah. I didn't even get to that side of the ball yet. I think DK is definitely going to make some flashes and we get catching people's attention this year.

Impact of Joe Brady on Bills' Strategy

00:16:18
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, that's, that's, that feels like kind of an obvious one. Um, that's all James cook, maybe. Okay. Yeah.
00:16:26
Speaker
Yeah, James. I mean, Cal, maybe we even, I mean, almost as many yards from scrimmage as Christian McCaffrey this year. I mean, we could, there's a case. There's a possibility you could see in this year. Yeah. All right, man. It's such a stupid thing. I hate it. It's terrible, but it's fun content. So here it is on content um and we are content creators. Yeah. Yes. So the cool thing, Hey folks, we're coming up on, on Bill season here, right? This is, this is the time training camp starts next week. Yeah. The rookies are there already rookies reported July 16th, full training camp starts, uh, July 24th goes until August 8th down in Rochester. St. John Fisher. Um, love that they're still, you know, getting the of some more of their fans in Western New York involved, which is really fun.
00:17:12
Speaker
um Then preseason starts up. builder um Bears at Bills, August 10th. Bills at Steelers, August 17th. Panthers at Bills, August 24th. And we're ready to rip the band-aid off and we're hosting the Cardinals in Buffalo September 8th. So, lots to talk about, lots to go on. I think um the conversation we want to start is we've done a lot of offseason homework. Let's start to compile our our thoughts and really go into the season kind of with our what is our thinking of how this team is going to look so this week we're still we're spending time on the offensive side of the ball next week we'll spend a bunch of time on the defensive side of the ball and also touch on special teams so um to start just kind of a little bit of a recap of where we're at on this roster there was tons of turnover right black wednesday was was that um terrible awful no good day for bill's fans right we lost so many players on the on the uh
00:18:04
Speaker
Um, offensive side of the ball. That was the cutting of Mitch force, right? We saw gave Davis walk and sign with Jacksonville. Yep. Try to be as white. Um, thinking more on this side of the ball. That's why I didn't. Oh yeah. but Sorry. Sorry. You're good. You're good. We'll talk about deep defense next week. it's why And then Diggs traded to Houston, right? um So lot this identity of a very 11 personnel heavy in the in the past few years, maybe not necessarily last year as much, but in the past few years, 11 personnel, wide receiver centric, spread the ball, um spread the defense, and and go from there is is looking a little bit differently, especially with a new full offseason with Joe Brady.
00:18:49
Speaker
so um My first kind of talking point with you, Nigel, is what kind of things might we see differently from the end of last year with Joe Brady running this offense to having a full op season and rolling into a fresh new season here? So i think it's I think it's definitely, it's a tough question to answer, first of all, right? Because we've never seen, or paid at least I have never, paid attention to what Joe Brady does you know in an offseason, really. um We saw him, I think one of the biggest things that we were able to take away from last season was just how much of his fingerprint he was able to put on the offense very quickly, even though it was Dorsey's offense prior to that.
00:19:35
Speaker
Um, so I would have to imagine, dude, that whatever he's going to have planned, and it's, it's funny, dude, because like his LSU offense was, was spread. It was just a spread offense. How could you not with the, with the players on the field that he had? I mean, right yeah like, but you know, he doesn't have that caliber of weapon or, or I should say the disparity between the talent on his team and his opponent is no longer that wide or that gap is is much smaller now. Right. So like the disparity in talent with his LSU players compared to their competition versus the players he's working with now in their competition is way, way, way, way smaller. It's all NFL players. Whereas, you know, just Justin Jefferson's running routes against Appalachian state or some bullshit like that. you know so you have to incorporate those wrinkles in there i think i think you're most telling thing about what to expect with the offense is the personnel right so and and i think i think you touched on the big thing with with the personnel groupings but i have to imagine dude that with a full offseason and now dalton concade not you know like he's he just knows he's the starting tight end for the buffalo bills he's no longer you know
00:20:48
Speaker
Practicing his 40 yard dash and practicing his vertical jump and all that shit He just is ah it's an offseason prepping for another for an NFL season, right? You have to imagine this team is gonna run 12 personnel ah so much and I like III go there because You're 12 personnel grouping with this bill's offense. it It, to me, is just littered with mismatches, dude. Right? You want to load up the box. Okay. We'll send Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel and Keon Coleman out on routes when Shakir and Curtis Samuel can separate with route running and speed. Right? Okay. You want to, you want to, you know, do that soft shell. Like everyone's been playing against the bills, that and man coverage for the past several years. Perfect. We're going to beat the shit out of you with Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid, and we're going to run it with James Cook.
00:21:35
Speaker
right So like that personnel grouping, that 12 personnel grouping, which let's remind everybody, 12 personnel, and the the numbers, so first place value is running backs, number of running backs. So James Cook, right the second number being the amount of tight ends on the field. So one running back, two tight ends, exactly. yeah So two tight ends, assumingly assumedly will be Dawson Knox, Dalton Kinkade. So already right there, you have mismatches. right Because what linebackers can keep up with James Cook and Dalton Kinkade and also be big enough to fill gaps when James Goode gets the ball. right So you know there's that component. And then you add in the fact that you've got receivers that have complementing skill sets outside of that. right I just mentioned Samuel and Shakir that are really great route runners, Goode yards after catch guys. And then you add in Keon Coleman, who's going to stack cornerbacks in this league like a motherfucker, hopefully. So you know dude, i just that's the personnel grouping that I come back to. And obviously, you can't just do exclusively 12.
00:22:35
Speaker
But I think if you can be in a situation where Joe Brady is able to call a ton of different things out of 12, you know, different running concepts and different passing concepts and all that. I think it's just it's going to put the opposing defense in a world of hurt dude. and I think is's we just got get and think Josh's ownership is going to be big in this too. right ah sounds for A lot of the verbiage we're hearing over the offseason from offseason workouts is that Josh is actually in the huddle calling plays, calling plays at the line. like He's ah really involved, which is exactly what we want a veteran quarterback like Josh Allen to be.
00:23:10
Speaker
So I'm excited to see him and Joe Brady have an entire offseason to put their heads together, put their two big old brains and mash them together and come up with all the options. I'm excited to see a hopefully more fleshed out or at least more effective short game. I think that was a big

Concerns About Bills' Wide Receiver Depth

00:23:27
Speaker
problem in our um and in the the Bills offense last year is that just the short game just wasn't working, right? You had but a lot of these bubble screens, a lot of these little um short little passes that we're just weren't going anywhere. um I'm hoping that Joe Brady will set a lot of these skill players up for yards after catch. or um And Josh Allen can work on getting them the ball in space in the correct placement to allow for more yards after catch. um And yeah, dude, it's going to be pretty wild. um I think, go ahead. the cop I do have a thought, but it's it it could be a potentially intense talking point. So finish what you were going to say.
00:24:04
Speaker
So um my next kind of thought here is this with this check in on a lot of the different position groups and talk through who are the where what are the What are the interesting players here, but be it established you know um starters or players who are going to be in training camp fighting and vying for a roster spot? But what's your thought there, pal? Yeah, let me I'll backtrack real quick. um i i And at this, I keep coming back to the student. It makes me nervous, admittedly. And I hope that I'm going to be proven wrong at the end of the day, given him given this new wide receiver structure, right? Or this the depth of wide receiver on this team.
00:24:40
Speaker
where there is no legitimate number one, dude. Right. And it's so it's going to put Josh out now that we may have a number one passing option in Dalton Kincaid. But at this point, it's not set installed. What is going to make this offense tick is Josh Allen being willing more than ever to take what is given to him, dude. And I think not having like in the back of his mind that okay stuff's got to get 180 targets where he's gonna pitch like, but he has to be willing to just be a point guard and distribute the ball accordingly dude, and it makes me nervous because
00:25:18
Speaker
I he's just he hasn't necessarily shown that that's the kind of player he is. Right. So I think that's a huge thing that Josh has to be able to do. But that being said, the last four years, whatever he's had to force speed step digs. You know, so I like to think that it just makes me a little bit nervous. Right. He's had moments, though he's had. Absolutely. I'm going to say 40 percent of the time, 45 percent of the time he's able and willing to distribute to the ball the way he should. like i don't I don't know. I'm not going to say that's necessarily the player that he resorts back to. Like, if he falls back onto his identity, like, I don't know if that's necessarily who he is, but he can. And I think especially with a full offense full of weapons and you're right, without Steph Diggs, little virus in his ear, I think I'm i'm excited.
00:26:04
Speaker
it It feels to me, and and this will be the last thing I'll say about this, this bill's offense feels to me like it is gonna be suffocatingly good, or I am going to try to suffocate myself watching them. <unk> going to be yeah Like no middle ground, dude. I'm so excited. All right. Next talking point. Sorry. That's funny. Now you're good, man. Um, so I am just pulling up the roster here. Um, nice. Pick us a position group. What do you want to start?
00:26:35
Speaker
Oh, let's see here. Let's let's discuss the offensive line because there's a couple of fun wrinkles in here. Yeah, absolutely. So I think some of the shoo-ins are clearly Deon Dawkins starting left tackle. um We got to figure out left guard, which I think we should talk about. Sensor is at the moment looking like Connor McGovern. We should talk about that. um Or Cyrus Torrance is starting right guard. I actually just watched cover one um another phenomenal content creator leaders in the this space um They oftentimes are posting amazing um film room stuff and they just had Osiris on as an interview um And they sat down 45 minutes talking through film with Osiris and it was it was really cool Absolutely recommend going to watch that oh i got to watch that, dude. Search cover one football or cover one bills, Osiris Torrance, you'll find it on YouTube. It's going to pop right up. It was within the last couple of days, last week or so. um Phenomenal. And the guy is clearly really smart. It was cool to hear Osiris talk um more than I've ever heard him talk um and really cool. So it's he's, that guy's going to be a stud. And then um Spencer Brown, right tackle.
00:27:43
Speaker
Then, beyond that, we have some really interesting things going on. We have, um

Offensive Line Prospects and Challenges

00:27:47
Speaker
currently, 17 offensive linemen on the roster. So that's going to trim down. I bet we're at 9 or maybe 10. We're going to eventually do our whole roster projection as we get closer here. but This is kind of our starting work. um I think Cedric van Prenngranger is definitely really interesting as the incoming rookie. He has some cool things to kind of start talking through, but I think so I want to start with you, Nitech. Is um center Conor McGovern? Do you believe that he's shooting? Yep, he is the answer right now. Plan A for center.
00:28:21
Speaker
So at this point, I do think that. I think that Conor McGovernor is indeed slated to be the center. He's stoked as all hell on it, dude. Like he can't wait. He's been saying in every possible interview that comes across that center says natural position. It's where he feels home. That's where he, that's where he feels the most comfortable. So, you know, as a fan, you love hearing that you love a guy talking like, He's getting back to the place where he feels like he belongs because all that does is just increase the confidence of the player. He's juiced up, man. He's excited. He's fired up about it, dude. And and I think, I think it's good. one One of the things that's big with that is him being excited about it and having a great relationship with Josh and Allen is going to go a long way, dude, because when you go up to the line of scrimmage, those are the two guys, your quarterback and your center that are adjusting the protections and stuff like that.
00:29:13
Speaker
And I'm pretty sure that I even remember Conor McGovern touching on in an interview where he would even still help Mitch Morris and Josh Allen from the guard position last season, figure out some of those protections and stuff like that. So he's clearly got it in the back of his mind. He knows what he's looking for. Um, I think it makes the most sense for him to do it. Um, but Tom, I'll kind of turn a question back on you. Who's the possible alternative that could throw a wrench in this entire thing? His name is Cedric Van Pangrager. VPG, man. like the guy The kid, it was a phenomenal sensor all through college. um Really, really strong tape. um The only thing that really, in my mind, let him fall to the fifth round was size. People see him as a smaller sensor.
00:29:57
Speaker
um who didn't have the arm length. And I'm sure that's probably what helped him fall to the fifth round. So I think he absolutely could. The way that the team is talking about Conor McGovern and the way that Conor McGovern is talking about and kind of letting us in on some of those conversations, it seems like it's Conor McGovern's job to lose. ah So it's either a a unfortunate knock on wood injury to McGovern or it's Cedric van Grader comes out and just blows the team out of the water. I think I think he's absolutely the plan in the future. I think he's absolutely the plan at maybe even a guard position, maybe left guard. um But I don't think he's I don't I don't I think he's deaf clearly plan B right now. I don't think it's like a 1A 1B. I think it's it's he is plan B in McGovernor's plan A.
00:30:47
Speaker
yeah I agree with you completely. The only thing I would add on is like, okay, I, he didn't just play in college, dude. He was the center for Georgia, which is unequivocally in the last couple of seasons in college football, the best team in college football, dude. And like, I mean, the amount of, the amount of players from Georgia that have gone pro in the last two years, dude, that's like. the closest thing to an NFL roster aside from maybe that LSU team where Joe Brady was the offensive coordinator that could very well be one of the best rosters the college football policy scene in the last I don't know 20 years that Georgia team was absolutely insane bro so for him to be I think he was a
00:31:26
Speaker
I don't remember if he was a four or a three-year starter there, but it was multiple years. It's, you know, yeah, a little bit undersized, but as a center position, dude, you got bumpers on either side of you with the guards to help with pass protection, dude. So, you you know, if he, and and here's the other thing, too, is, um oh, God, I'm having a massive brain fart here, the guy who's going to be center. kind of a government, kind of a government is also a freak athlete. So like I'm thinking like, you know, they had Mitch Morris doing a lot of pin and poles and stuff as the center with the guard crashing down in that, in those run game for those running plays. Um, that's the only place where I can really see SVP size getting in trouble. But again, dude, like, you know Creed Humphrey is not a huge center and he's considered like a top two center in the NFL you know he's just a blue collar dude that understands leverage and his athletic cell so you know and if there's a place on the line where you're gonna have a small guy I'm fine with it being center but I do agree with you there's only two paths for him to get there and one of them again knock on wood
00:32:29
Speaker
is Conor McGovern getting injured. And the other is yeah him just having an insane camp, which I don't see either of those happening necessarily. So I almost think if he has an insane camp, maybe they're looking at him at guard at left guard, right? Starting over, over David Edwards, which is very possible. which is the other side of this whole, this whole equation here, right? Because with Conor McGovern sliding the center, who's going to be the new left guard, right? yeah Kind of the, the, the, in my opinion, at least right now, the guy whose job it is to lose is indeed, um, Oh God, I just looked at his David Edwards. Um, so, and he's the guy that like, he's, he's started games in the NFL. It's been a little while since he started.
00:33:08
Speaker
But he has plenty of starting experience. He's viewed by a lot of people as a starting caliber guard. um So yeah, dude, it's super interesting to see what's going to happen there. and And he's been in the room for several years. So he knows the scheme, right? He knows how this team wants them to play, what techniques he's asked to use. like He knows them. So I think that's it's definitely a leg up. I think vp BPG is definitely first off the bench at either guard or sensor. Um, so right I think he's, I think he's going to be the ah first, the first back up there. And then I think first back up for left tackle is who was last year, van de Mark. Um, he came in and like, um, well, actually, no, we didn't need him last year too much. I think he came in and sealed some games at the end, so um, for Dion, but really strong depth, right? Really reliable has been in this team for a while. yeah Um, and the team knows exactly what they have in banda Mark. I think he's absolutely there at left tackle. Um, and then quickly here.
00:34:01
Speaker
Who do you kind of looking through our list here of either Will Clapp, Alec Anderson, Keaton Bills, Lyle Collins, Mike Edwards, who's maybe a roster bubble player that we think could also make this squad or maybe maybe somebody we're trying to stash on the practice squad? I think based on the contract, you'll see Lyle Collins make this team. His, his big question mark is injury, but if he's healthy, dude, he is unequivocally like in terms of depth and and talent and ability. Like if this, if this was a depth chart here, what, what we have on the screen, um, he would probably slot right up right below David Edwards. I mean, cool he, he said, he said games in the NFL or season, the NFL where he has been legit.
00:34:45
Speaker
um but he's been riddled with injuries so I assuming we have a healthy Lyle Collins I think it's him um the other one I think would probably be I have to imagine Richard garage is probably not ready to make the step to an NFL roster he's probably practice squad guy again um Yeah, and then I think mine will be Alec Anderson, just because he was a draft pick and has been in the system for a while. That's the guy I'm kind of eyeing up. Yeah, I see that argument as well. And he's been kind of roster bubbly for the last few years, you know. So yeah, we'll be really interesting. I think it'd be cool to see what Travis Clayton and Tyler Gray will look like in camp. I absolutely think that they're going to practice club players. I don't think they're making any kind of push to make the roster, but they were both draft picks this year. So Travis Clayton is the rugby player from England.
00:35:35
Speaker
Yeah. Right. So who who knows? Right. Let's get let's get to see what the kids got. And he's a big athlete and big dude. So it'll be interesting to see, you know, fun, fun stories. But I don't think they're pushing for the roster. Yeah. no um Two of the rooms that I think are really easy to talk about real quick is QB and tight ends. I think those are essentially sets. I don't think there's any wiggle room anywhere. QB is absolutely set. Josh Allen, Mitchell Trubisky, Shane Bushell is going to be on the practice squad. I think having Mitch in as QB two is absolutely a step up. oh yeah right Like the guys gone in and led the Bears to the playoffs. So like if needed, we have a ah really strong, that's the strongest QB2 we've had since Mitch was here a couple of years ago. right
00:36:20
Speaker
um And then tight end, I think is really straightforward as well. It's Dalton K K Dawson, knock show, um, Quinton Morris, incredibly strong. He absolutely could be a a tight end to on other teams. Um, he's just in a very strong room. yeah yeah yeah And then Zach Davidson and Trevor kitty are both really fun, athletic, really great prospects, but they're not knocking on the door. They're definitely practice quiet guys. And, um, you know, God forbid we have an injury anywhere. This is, this is knock on wood season. Um, We have people who have been on the team. They were in the in the um in the facility last year. So they know the system. They know what's asked of them. They've started to work with Mitchell Trubisky on the practice squad team and stuff like that. So um I think they're good depth, but nothing really

Bills' Running Back Room Dynamics

00:37:03
Speaker
to to talk about there. Any any thoughts, QB, tight end-wise, Nij? Next. OK. Let's go running back, because this is what I'm excited about. And I think we think the big the big one, the big neon flashing sign, a wide receiver for the end.
00:37:14
Speaker
um So running backs are really interesting room. We have James Cook, Ty Johnson, ah draft pick Ray Davis, Reggie Gilliam, fullback, and then Darrinson Evans, who was in the practice or on the practice squad last year. And then interesting enough, Frank Gore Jr. um James Cook is absolutely incumbent. It's his room. This guy, like we kind of spoke earlier, like he was way up in the league on um all purpose yards last year. Like I think you said it was second only behind Christian McCaffrey. He was way up there, dude. He was like right there with I want to say he was second. Maybe I maybe I'm off a little bit there, but he was top five guaranteed. Yeah, like which is nothing this, you know, this stuff that so like the guys he's I'm really excited to see what he looks like this year. um I think especially I think there's going to be a ah bigger emphasis on the run game because we saw that once.
00:38:05
Speaker
um joke it's a go Joe Brady took over. We saw a little bit more of an effort to establish the run, so I think um that absolutely could. But in my opinion, I think we're going to see a little bit more of a committee than we did last year. I don't think um we had, who who was it? It was Latavius Murray and Ty Johnson last year. Latavius, great leader, great pass blocker, could do didn't have a pulse when he handed the ball to the guy. Right. Um, Ty Johnson had some fun flashes last year. He was, he was the late, he was like a late addition. If you remember, like, yeah, yeah I think it was before training camp, but it was like this time last year he was signed. I think he's a really electric um player with the ball. He can do so he's, he's, he's got, if, if he's getting the ball, um, handed off to him, like things are still going to happen. It's not like there's a huge drop off there. I'm really excited about Ray Davis. And I think he's going to get more work than we're thinking.
00:39:02
Speaker
Um, I think he's, ah I think he's probably the bet. The strongest pass blocker, which maybe isn't saying much. James cook is a little bit of a, a paper bag, a lot of the paper bag. It died. Johnson, I think is probably you slightly more to the middle of the road. He's like the reusable Wegmans bag. yeah
00:39:20
Speaker
That's been reused about three times, right? exactly Yeah, Man, I hope James Cook proves us wrong and comes out and has some solid class blocking reps. I really do. I hope that's ah yeah hope he knows, and I'm sure he does, that that's his part of his game he had to work on this offseason. But anyway, I'm excited about Ray Davis. What do you think, what kind of usage might we see out of Ray, do you think? I, I, so I think Ray Davis is bread and butter on this team is going to be short yardage, right? I think Ray Davis is going to be our goal line back essentially. So keep that in mind for later rounds in fantasy, because we saw James cook knocking any touchdowns or carries within like the five yard line, right? yeah So that those were all Josh Allen, lots of passes that were dropped though.
00:40:00
Speaker
Oh my, don't even get me started. I'll have a stroke right here. Um, but yeah, dude, like I think, I think Ray Davis is going to be your short yardage. Um, slash goal line back because that was a piece that we were missing. We had it a little bit at the beginning of last year with Latavius. And then he fell off a cliff and let's just completely useless. So he was the oldest running well oldest play. No, not oldest player, oldest, um um, like running back in the league. Yeah, yeah, not particularly close either. um My concern with the running back room is this. I feel like with our running back personnel, we show our hand. Right. If it's I don't know if it's third and three and James Cook is in there, dude, probably safe to assume that it's going to be a running play because are yeah like our team's going to assume that Sean McDermott is going to put James Cook in a pass blocking situation on third and three.
00:40:52
Speaker
My guess would be no. right If I'm seeing him there on third and three on defense, I'm thinking, OK, this is a run. because if they're and And it's safe to assume third and three. I mean, I'm not sure there's this there's a scenario where more teams blitz. you know So that's my concern with this team. On the contrary, right if Ray Davis isn't on third and three, I'm thinking either one. right He's the best pass blocker. He's also the short yardage back. So I think he's got hands and he's got hands. That's a great, yeah, another great point. He's sick out of the backfield. So I think these are really, really, that's a really good point by you, Tom, to, you know, foresee potential for more use than we might anticipate out of Ray Davis. But yeah, dude, until we see that a James Cook, that ability to pass block, I feel like this team shows up, shows a lot of their hand when he's in there based on the situation.
00:41:41
Speaker
I didn't think about that yet. Yeah, that's a good point. I was really just thinking um also just James Cook's history of usage. he's never Last year was by far his most usage ever, his most touches. um Oh, okay. I see what you're saying. I was kind of thinking like, hey, yeah, he's probably... yeah get that way That's maybe his highest number of snaps and highest number of touches he'll ever have. And it'll come back down to the average. um But no, that's a good point that like, you know, that but they might show their hands and Ray Davis gives them a little bit more versatility. um And yeah, hope to God that he's he's done a bunch of pass blocking work over the offseason. Sounds like I've heard that he he has bulked up. He has gotten bigger. He put on some muscle. Yeah, I heard that as well. Mike, my question about that is like when you're when you're running back and you're in the offseason, like, how do you practice that? Right. Because like, I don't think he's gearing up like because that's a that's me like pass blocking protection.
00:42:34
Speaker
That needs to be like a live rep, right? Like you got to be sure in your gear. Like, I mean, you could talk about technique and stuff like, OK, James, you're putting your hands in the wrong spot. You need to get here underneath the shoulder pad and lift up to throw them off balance. There could be some of that taking place, dude. But I remember like with football practices, dude. And again, only played as far as high school. But I think I think the message still applies, dude, like this it's the same as Bill's training camp. It's got to be almost the exact same, dude. I played with a guy that went D1.
00:43:05
Speaker
Shout out Bobby Blodgett, dude, fucking 6'4, 325 in high school. Yeah, well, that'll do it. That'll do it. That'll get you to D1 program. But um like, dude, those days were like the beginning where you're just in helmets and then helmets and shells, right? Like, and everything is just kind of like going through the motions. It's like, okay, yeah, this is fun. But like, I don't feel like I'm practicing right now. It's the same with music, right? Like you practice the way that you play. yeah Right. And like when you're practicing, if you're just like, you know, doing really light and gentle pair of littles and then you want to play a gig and you're hitting like Sasquatch, you're going to be tired. You know, I just that's it. That's the drum and vocabulary on the folks I love. yeah Well, you know, people got to know. um But yeah, dude that just feels to me like someone that's got to be a live rep to really get the most out of it. I don't know. yeah
00:43:49
Speaker
I agree. and maybe but maybe Maybe it's also watching the tape and being able to read and diagnose where the you know where the protections need to be and where the pressure is coming from. like i just Whatever it is that he could do, I'm i'm hoping to God he did it. That's a really great point. um I did not think about that. Just watching film and being like, Hey, Jimmy, you completely misdiagnosed this. right Right. Yeah. And herere learning and seeing those mental reps so that when he comes to camp, he's can, you know, he's he can do better. So here's hoping. point Right. Yeah. I love the guy and I want him to play more and I want him to be really successful. So would love that. And I think for um Reggie Gilliam, super solid. He's still our fullback. um Right. you I don't think there's really anything to really say much about Reggie other than like the guy, the guy's great at what he does. I think I think there's a chance Reggie Gilliam could
00:44:39
Speaker
not make the team this year. Really? Whoa. OK. All right. Clip, talk to me. Why? I just I'm looking at the personnel, dude, and like, OK, what is Reggie Gilliam provide that Ray Davis doesn't. Right. and And like last season, David Edwards was was your big, your big, um, jump, your jumbo, right? Your jumbo tight end. yeah Um, why can't that be SVP this year? Right. If David Edwards is your starting guard, okay right? Like I'm just seeing it like you still got Quinton Morris on the team. If you need somebody to like be an impromptu fullback real quick, I'm just looking at the personnel, dude, I could see a world.
00:45:15
Speaker
And I'm not calling for this. Reggie Gilliam has come up with some really clutch moments for us in the last five years. interesting um But there's a world like now with with a guy like Ray Davis and Ty Johnson, because I feel like those two are relatively similar to one another. I think there's a world where Reggie Gilliam could not make the team this year. I'm not wishing for him. Okay. All

Wide Receiver Depth and Special Teams Influence

00:45:33
Speaker
right. Mark, as we're doing our roster construction stuff, I want, I'm curious of where these, who we might think might fall off and who stays on. So i might gra you with a little, little different coloration there. Interesting. Darrin's and Evans and Frank or Jr. I think are just going to be camp bodies. I think they're going to really work to get in the system. Hopefully we get them back in the practice squad. They're going to make a practice squad. Frank, true Frank or Jr. Will not, you don't think he's going to make the practice squad at all. This thing goes as a courtesy to his dad to to get the signing.
00:46:00
Speaker
Yeah, I kind of I kind of do. And I don't like no disrespect to Frank or and no disrespect to Frank or Junior. Obviously, you grow up with a dad like that who played as long as he did. You know, your mentors have got to be rock solid. But do you like his tape just doesn't because when I saw that I was like, did I wonder if we have a diamond in the rough? His tape doesn't hold up, though. Oh, and his his testing was horrendous. It was me testing. Yeah, I do better. but You could you could have pulled Tom or I off the couch after a night of drinking and we would have scored about the same as Frank. po's name It was like a point. It was like less than a one. His r ra score dude was fucking.
00:46:37
Speaker
yeah of athletes I'm not sure he was alive. yeah yeah not Not good. so yeah yeah yeah That's a good point. All right. Wide receiver. This is the fun hot topic. This is the one that everybody wants to talk about. Okay. So we know for sure. Well, roster rocks, roster locks. yeah I love you, Tom. LasterRux. Somebody gives me a microphone to talk into. Um, are Collier, uh, Collier Shakir, Curtis Samuel, Keon Coleman, and in my mind, Mack Hollins, Marques Valdiscan. I think those guys are roster locks. I would agree with you 110%.
00:47:18
Speaker
And we're at five. The Bills have historically they they've kept five wide receivers and that's been it. That's that's so I think this is the year we see six. I really do. And we'll talk more about here in a moment. But um that leaves Chase k Claypool, Tyrell Shavers, Brian Thompson, K.J. Hamler, Xavier Johnson, Justin shorten Shorter, Lawrence Keys and Andy Isabella as the other players who are vying for a possible sixth wide receiver slot. These guys have gotta be looking at this, like these bubble guys, and being like, what the fuck did I get myself into?
00:47:51
Speaker
Dude, so many of these guys are going to get almost all these guys that you just run off are going to get caught, dude. And it feels brutal. But it's yeah, dude, like and this is like, OK, we've we've we've talked about it a bunch. You don't have that number one top dog, dude. But that is a deep group of five receivers. I mean, maybe it's unfair to say Keon Coleman is is death because he's a rookie and like. But like you got you got experience there. You've got athleticism. You have complementing skill sets size. size dude and in Keon and MBS dude, route runners and Khalil Shakir and Curtis. Mack Hollins is a big boy.
00:48:28
Speaker
Like, man, I think this is going to be the biggest wide receiver group we've had in a long time. Maybe since that poor, and you know, unfortunate Calvin Benjamin came to the squad. um Sorry not to invoke a name that night stairs. Seriously. um Yeah, man. Mac Hollins, MBS and Keon are all north of 200 pounds. Like it's all north of six to bigger than 200 pounds. um And that's. We haven't really had a squad of of players that are all that same size. Um, so really interesting. And I mean, I agree. I agree. We don't have that number one in my mind. That's the that's Dalton Kincaid over here. Our boy. I think he's the number one. And I think, I think we need to not worry that is he's not a wide receiver. correct I think that's cause I'm, we're seeing tight end use become more and more creative and more and more athletic as across the league. So I think Dalton Kincaid is going to fit that.
00:49:24
Speaker
not, there's not a Dalton Kincaid or tight end conversation. This is a wide receiver conversation. So I'm going to leave him over there. However, I think having Curtis, I'm really excited to see what he, he and Joe Brady cook up. I'm, I'm expecting him to get several, um, running back like touches as well. okay i think i see Like he did when he, he had over a thousand yards with Joe Brady in Carolina. Just like that Nigel. Wow. I think he's going to get two to five running back touches a game. a game that would be crazy if it was that many a game i think it's two to five a game i think it would be my my guess would be my guess would be five per quarter of the season
00:50:06
Speaker
Okay. Per course. Okay. So every four games are a little over one a game. Yeah. Yeah. That would be my guess. And that even still feels a little steep to me. I think it's going to be a bunch. I think it's okay. I'm getting some bold predictions. We're getting ready here, but, um, um Kaleel, man, I think, dude, I just love the guy. I think he's going to be, I'm really interested to see he's, I think he's going to be our separator. Him and Curtis are going to be our two separators in this ah offense. And we know how much Josh Allen loves separators. I, my prediction, if we want to get a little, and this isn't even bold, I'll just say it's my prediction, of the wide receivers, so not including Dawson, er, excuse me, Dawson Kincaid, of the wide receivers, I think Khalil Shakir is going to be your number one in terms of his receiving yards and stuff like that, and I don't foresee it being particularly close, unless Keon turns out to be an absolute
00:51:01
Speaker
badass rookie. I think it's i think you'll see Khalil Shakir leave the wide receivers in terms of receptions and yards. Mm. Yeah, I think I think I think so as well. I think Curtis might have more touches, especially because of these running back touches in my mind. But yeahp um he or at least be closer to Khalil. You know, they might be on on par. Yeah. um I think Mac Hollins will have some clutch moments, but I don't see him getting a ton of targets. I think I think MVS is going to be a big downfield threat. He's going to have probably he's going to have a couple 20 plus 30 plus yard pass um receptions.
00:51:34
Speaker
um a handful on the on the season. You'll have a couple. I bet he comes out with 40 targets and 25 receptions across like that. so Yeah, you know, um but with a bunch of yards because I bet they're going to be deep targets. um And I'm excited, man. I think Keon's going to go out and he's going to play some like one V one pickup basketball out there, dude. Boy, I sure hope so. I think the guy is just and there was another video of him. I think it was wasn't Steve Smith. It was, it was another, um, NBC or past player kind of thing. do i Did I send you guys that video? Did I send that in the group text? That might've been you. That might've been where I got that from, but, um, it was cool. It was cool to see him working and he's working on his footwork. He's working on his, his separation of route running. That's the big limiter for him. Right. That will make her break his season. In my, in my opinion, can he run?

Speaker
NFL standard routes and have NFL standard footwork and NFL standard separation skills. Um, and it doesn't have to be top of the league, but he needs to be average in my mind to really make an impact on the team, right? He doesn't, it's, I don't think that's ever gonna be the best part of his game. However, he is going to be able to go up in high point balls. He is going to be able to go up and get these 50 fifties. He's going to be able to get up and go in the red zone. And the guy's just going to work some magic. I think. Yeah. Yeah. I hope so too. I said it. I said it like the podcast. I think it was the podcast after.

We drafted him in it and all of his fun content was coming out. I need this guy to be good. Like I need oxygen. I know how like would if he's this awesome as a person and like doing all these fun things and interviews and stuff, but he sucks. It's going to break my heart. I know. I know. And we need flashes. We don't need him to be a dominant Justin Jefferson rookie season this year. No, dont no, I don't need that. I need him to be dot like, I need him to show some flashes. have a excuse me have a few games where he takes over um and be reliable. That's what I need him to be. Yeah, dude, I agree completely. I think you had that on the head.

So now I think some of the interesting players of who might make this squad um include Chase c Claypool, KG Hamler. I think Justin Shorter maybe is still in this conversation just because he was a draft pick. Exactly. I don't I think I hope that I mean, and if he makes the squad, I hope it's because he's actually freaking good and not just because it's a draft pick. um Because I think if we let him go, to we let him go to waivers, I think he's no problem getting back to the practice. Yeah. um But basically, wow. Chase Claypool is an interesting one. He's had some conversations and some interview and some talking points come out where like he's talking about, you know, resetting his career and coming out and, you know, being humbled and all this. And if he could come out and show anything about being maple Tron, like he was his rookie season, like, all right, let's go. But I just don't buy it.
00:54:33
Speaker
I don't either, especially because he said all this before everything that's happening right now, like with him talking about resetting and, and having, you know, uh, media members talk about how great he looks. It's happened the last two seasons. Like yep he's right on part of three P right now. The difference will be when the bullets are alive and he's got real reps. Right. right yeah Yeah. So, you know, we'll see how all that shakes out. It'd be awesome. I do. My, my dark course here is KJ Hamler. KJ Hamler is my dark course. Interesting. Yeah. Insane, insane college tape. And so fast, dude, just a dude that's had some, some injuries and some weird ones, dude.
00:55:19
Speaker
Not like ones where, um, you know, you're, you're expecting him to to impact his career. And it seems to me, if you read the injury report, I don't remember so much jargon that I don't understand on those injury reports. Um, but and they all seem to me like injuries that aren't going to be like nagging and they've just been shitty luck. You could have a diamond in the rough here in KJ Hamlet because he is fast as fuck. That'll be sweet, man. And you know what? He's coming from Denver, which has kind of been like a you little bit of a stink. Yeah. yeah i does Yeah. Sorry. The dad and me, the dad filter. Yeah. Dumpster fire is a better way to put that especially in terms ofback andcur quarterback and.
00:56:02

coaches turnover, right? And you know, when there's new coaching and new front office, they oftentimes there's turnovers at positions and and player turnover, like, so you're right, you could absolutely come out and do something really cool. I think, in my mind, that six wide receiver slot is how much of impact you can have on these special teams plays. 100%. Yeah, actually this takeoffs I think that's absolutely right. And I'm going to tease the conversation for next week, where I think we should go through and talk through kind of the new kickoff rule and how is that going to impact this Buffalo bill squad, um, particularly some of these roster bubble players. Cause I think that's where they can get their ticket and be like, I can provide value for this team

Closing Thoughts and Social Media Reminders

down. That's a great call. So beautiful. body Yeah. Anything else? Any last minute kind of, uh, closing points here about our offensive side of the ball.

I cannot wait to overreact to training clinic camp. like <unk> I can't wait to just absolutely throw a party over Keon Coleman making a catch. And I can't wait to disgrace every throw that too it tosses. Dude, we also on the docket coming up is an AFC East check in. So we'll be talking about the Dolphins. We'll be talking about the Jets. We'll be talking about the Patriots and kind of our thoughts and where things are going. So that'll be another fun one to tune into. Tom, I'm just curious. Has to it signed a contract yet? Oh, no, I don't think so.
00:57:21
Speaker
Oh, no, no, dude. I don't want to pay him. Kind of seems like he should have done it by now, wouldn't you think? Right. Yeah. I mean, that meant the guy that he led the lead in ah passing yards last year. Oh, oh, dude. Crazy. Wow. I can't believe that guy doesn't have a deal done. Man, me neither. What what the heck? What are we doing? I don't think I don't think that Greer guy knows what he's doing, pal.
