So I had Justin came over whatever day it was, Tuesday. So last Tuesday, Justin Wilson came over from JW Blade Works and we just hung out.

He came over early, actually, which was good because we wanted to beat the heat. And um which we I don't think we really beat the heat because it took forever to um to do that. But we we did.

We twisted some Damascus. So we made some Damascus, twisted that, used it as cladding, and made um actually quite a bit of... We each ended up... So we layered in the brass with a 1084 core, did the usual, sealed it all up, did it in the forge.

It worked great. It was scary because it... I don't remember the copper popping this much. But like the welds on the sides kind of pop. You know how you know the welds always crack and get really snaggletoothed on the side?

Well, there they're they're always like, you hear this popping sound. So that was freaking us out a little. We were thinking the welds were popping, but the welds look fine. And we ended up with each with like a 16-inch billet that was a quarter-inch thick.
