Last week's podcast was with the lovely and inspiring Christine Handy as she shared her traumatic breast implant illness story and her dedication to helping women with breast cancer and breast implant illness.

Silicone Detox Challenges

00:00:21
Speaker
This podcast, Heidi and I will be talking about silicone detoxification and why it is so difficult. I've been doing research over the last few years on silicone detoxification and the properties of silicone polymers. It is difficult. and Anyway, welcome, Heidi. You keep doing that research because I'm not very good at that part. You're phenomenal at the research. and
00:00:45
Speaker
getting so much information out and being able to, I don't know, just being able to do all that stuff. i'm That is not my wheelhouse. It is definitely yours. and You do an amazing job at it, so keep it up for sure. Thank you, dear. I appreciate that. That's super. That helps me, keeps me motivated and

Complexities & Online Discussion

00:01:06
Speaker
going. yeah Yeah. We're going to be talking about silicone and how the detoxification properties work. And I know that people online are probably going to be talking about the subject after I post the podcast. yeah They're really good about that, aren't they? about
00:01:22
Speaker
ah posting a lot of your same information right after you do that. It's been going on for months now, which is great. At least the information is getting out there. Like you said, exactly. It's not about me. I mean, we are trying, you know, you and I and other partners are working ah for integrative hope for healing.

Certification & Collaboration Plans

00:01:38
Speaker
We're trying to get the research started. I will be taking the chess examination next year, which is a certified yay certified health education specialist. So I will be licensed and this is going to be great because it will open up so many opportunities for us to do research. um That's one of the biggest goals of integrative hope for healing. We want to collaborate with other professionals you know for research purposes.
00:02:07
Speaker
put that in their research

Research Bias Concerns

00:02:08
Speaker
purposes. yes yes you know Other women who'd like to participate in the research as well just because we need viable and replicable results for silicone detoxification. right So that that's the goal. Yeah, I well, and we should because you know, one of the last podcasts that I was on, you know, there were some people Oh my god, she's so hot. Why is she being so happy? Well, I felt great that day, man. I felt great. And I had a long probably along a long stretch probably the longest stretch in my two years of recovering from my ex plant that I had I felt so great for several, several months and I was doing really well. And I'm going to say these last few weeks I
00:02:51
Speaker
had another flare up and something I haven't been doing great recently and it sucks and there's there's women that are worse than me and there's women that are better off than me as far as this goes but we're all trying to figure this out and I know we've gotten a lot of protocols in place now over the last how many every years that have people been explanting but there's still so much more to learn more and I don't trust the research companies that are out there right now because those research companies are getting ah paid and getting, I guess, donations from the breast implant makers,

Medical Community Education

00:03:25
Speaker
right? they're They're donating for the research. Obviously, they're not doing a good job because by the time I got implants, I should have known all of this stuff, you know?
00:03:35
Speaker
Well, that's the whole reason that that education is so important and the research because if you you know a lot of doctors, they see it, but I think they they just kind of push it to the side because they don't have the real education and real stories about women and how the silicone me migration is a real thing. I've gone to several doctor's offices that I've talked to them. you know, sat down, even talked to the nurses and they've just surrounded me. It's so funny, my doctor appointments, I have all the nurses, everything and I'm giving this little lecture. Yeah, that's really funny, which is great. And I wish I could do that. That's why you're going to be on the phone at my next doctor's appointment. You know, I mean, it's great because they they're like, ah they eat it up. They want to know the research there. They are overwhelmed. with That's a good doctor right there.
00:04:27
Speaker
Yeah, but it's happened many times. So I really feel like the medical community wants to know, um I don't know about, you know, every surgeon, but I know a lot of the medical community wants to know how they can help women and they want to

Silicone Properties & Detox Strategies

00:04:42
Speaker
understand it. And that's where we need to start is educating the medical community be ah about this and the ICD-11 code so they can do something about it. And I know it's hard with the the silicone ups and downs because you know every once in a while I was telling you the other day, I had some heart palpitations. I was feeling weak. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm having a silicone migration attack. I just knew it. So I popped in my my binders. And within an hour, I was fine. So binders are super important. And we're going to get into that. um Done a lot of research on binders.
00:05:18
Speaker
and other things to take for silicone detoxification. But i I do want to talk about silicone. What it is, you know, silicone can go to various tissues in your body, like your arms, your legs or studies, even the abdomen and sinus passages. I found studies on it. um So silicone is called hydrophobic, which means it doesn't mix with water. so you can't mix it with water at all. It doesn't mix in their body fluids. Silicones, especially, there's one silicone called dimethylsiloxane. It's really low. the molecular
00:05:55
Speaker
I can't even balance that. Listen to you. Oh my goodness. So it's a very low weight, which means it can go right into your tissues. It can get into your eyes. It can get into your brain. It can get in any organ of your body because it's so low. And another thing about silicone is that it's lipophilic, which means it can transfer into your fat cells. And it loves the fat, so it stays in there. in the fat and it just hangs out in your fat cells. So doing some intermittent fasting to help when you release those fast fat cells during intermittent fasting, you want to have that binder ready because you're going to release it, right? you You want to get that, that silicone out of your body as quick as you possibly can.

Detox Protocols & Research Efforts

00:06:44
Speaker
And so if you have silicone, any tissues of your body,
00:06:48
Speaker
And if you have a rupture or you've had implants for a long time, most likely you have silicone within your body's tissues. You have to. Yeah. And so when it, when it's released into your body, um because of a stress response, you're going to feel it. It's going to make things, you know, 10 times worse than without that silicone release. ah you know, things I know that we've talked about for detoxification, you know, saw the infrared saunas, ah you know, juice fasting, intermittent fasting, the binders, myo nocital, the main research projects that we have for integrative hope for healing is finding out the best
00:07:31
Speaker
Uh, protocols for silicone detoxification. I have looked, I've researched, I mean, wonderful. Uh, Dr. Dykeman. Um, and then there's ah other leaders in the, the world that are helping with doing research on silicone and you know different types of protocols, but there's not a lot. There's there's not much yeah do we that actually have a valid protocol.

Encouragement & Personal Commitment

00:07:59
Speaker
and And so that's what we need. We need that protocol out there. I want women who are listening to this podcast to know that you are loved and that you are important. yes
00:08:10
Speaker
And you should always have a voice and always speak out. And I know Heidi, both Heidi and I and Lisa are here for you. And yeah, we're here. Our our goal is to help women, get the get the research going, get the protocols going and be able to have a voice. We all do this out of our own out of our own pockets, out of our own, I don't have free time, but I find it, because we want to help people. We want to help women, for sure, in this BI community. but
00:08:42
Speaker
So thanks so much for having me today. Thank you so much. I appreciate you being on the podcast and taking your time out today. Yep. And all you ladies, I just want you to, you know, feel of our love and always remember my favorite line. There is hope for healing.
