Chris Miggs' Snack and Pro Wrestling Chat

00:00:35
Speaker
Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of Predetermined at Pro Wrestling. Hang out, Garrett Calendar, Chris Miggs here. Chris Miggs is eating a Pop-Tart, and I have to know, what flavor Pop-Tart does Chris Miggs reach for? So, at some point, while my wife was pregnant, she bought a big box of Pop-Tarts, and she ate them for a little bit, and then she stopped, and I don't know why,
00:01:04
Speaker
I needed a snack and I just looked for, I was like, ah, Pop-Tarts. And so I just reached in. There's like several flavors in this thing. I just reached in and I was like, dealer's choice. I'm pretty sure that's strawberry. Okay. I think you would know the difference between strawberry and cherry, which are the two most likely, uh, plus the cherry is going to have the red, the red sprinkles on top. And that didn't look like it did. That looks like I have the colorful ones.
00:01:31
Speaker
Yeah, this has multicolors on there. It's got red and green and something else. I'm pretty sure it's the strawberry. My favorite is either s'mores or the chocolate chocolate. The chocolate chip are pretty damn good. Hey, guys, welcome to Pop-Tart cast. Snack cast. I also really like, though, like, you know, in college, like a Pop-Tart and a beer. Like a chocolate Pop-Tart and a beer. I'm drinking some beer right now, actually.
00:02:00
Speaker
drinking a rum and coke. You know why? Because my love of pro wrestling is fucking reinvigorated. It has come back to life in a way that it wasn't dead. It wasn't dead. I feel like it was just a little dormant.

Spotlight on Texas Deathmatch

00:02:16
Speaker
And then- You just needed to watch one man drink the blood of another to really, really feel it again. I will say, so I was listening back to last week's episode today, Garrett. And in that episode,
00:02:29
Speaker
We talk a little bit about Full Gear coming up and you say, I think I'm excited for the Texas Deathmatch. And I'm like, yeah, that seems like it's going to be good. It was good. It was good, guys. Yeah, I don't want to like be like, let's start with the first match. No, let's start with one of the best goddamn matches of the year between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page.
00:03:01
Speaker
Chris, did I don't, I love that a match this good starts with Prince Nana dancing. That's gonna get me every time. This is my favorite. If I haven't talked about in the show, and even if I have, I'll talk about it again. I've been watching Prince Nana for like 20 years. He was always funny, always cut a great promo. Even back in like 2001, 2002, he was a great manager in ROH.
00:03:30
Speaker
three years ago, two years ago, at the first Grand Slam, I was just excited. He was managing jobbers for dark. And I was like, oh, that's cool. Prince Nana got a payday. Prince Nana has people doing a goddamn dance with him, like to the biggest match on a pay-per-view now. What a fucking turnaround. And I love it so much for him. Prince Nana basically got his own pay-per-view entrance.
00:03:59
Speaker
Like he got his own, Adam Page didn't get an entrance in that match.
00:04:06
Speaker
Prince Nana got his own dance with, like his own entrance with dancers. And you know what? He was better than the fucking dancers he was with. That guy has so much charisma just right in the face. And you know what? I want to do that dance every time. You're never going to catch me doing that dance at an AEW show because Chris, a lot of wrestling fans look like us and every week we see him doing that dance on TV. And I want to still have a wife when I get home.
00:04:35
Speaker
You just get home from the show. You're like, she's like, Garrett, it's over. We're getting divorced. I saw Nana serves me the divorce papers right to my face. He just dances up to you. Hands you the papers and you're like, oh, shit. I want to I want to do a dramatic reading of our text thread during that match. Please.
00:05:01
Speaker
Here's a selection of things we said. Starting with you, Garrett. Jesus Christ. Oh my God. Amazing. Derek Alpin. Fuck. Garrett, this rules. I'm hard. I feel alive again. Uh, Derek, fuck. This is quality shit. Get that man a towel.
00:05:25
Speaker
Garrett, this rules. Me, this is insane. Garrett, that was fucked up. Me, holy shit. Derek, oh fuck. This is, Garrett, this is incredible. Derek, Jesus fuck. Me, in all caps, what the fuck? Wow.
00:05:49
Speaker
It was the only physical, I literally, I wondered what my wife was thinking while I was watching that match because I, at some point, I just started making guttural noises like, ugh. Just response, physical response to what those two men were doing to each other for our entertainment. I just rewatched it for the first time since the other night, right before we recorded.
00:06:16
Speaker
God, I was wondering, is it not gonna hold up as much? Was it the thing where just so much shocking happened in a row and just a level of violence that even on a good night like this, that AEW, you don't expect this level that they brought. He drank his blood. And then he later, Hangman later posts on Instagram, you will always be a part of me.
00:06:46
Speaker
Oh yeah. I, Leah was on the couch next to me, editing a photo of our child for a Christmas card. And I'm screaming, he's drinking his blood Leah, he's drinking. And like, when you watch that back, I remembered it well, but Swerve Strickland has a beautiful shade of blood.
00:07:12
Speaker
It's a beautiful color of red that I feel like most of us don't get to have. And it is just geysering. It is just like a faucet turned on from his head. We've watched so much death match shit, Chris. So much. There's very little that's shocking anymore. I've never seen that.
00:07:36
Speaker
Like I've seen people bite people and get blood in their mouth, but I've never seen somebody fill their mouth. And the thing is- And then do a spit take like he's Triple H. Which I didn't even catch live the first time because he didn't even do that for hard cam. He just did it. We're just lucky somebody caught that bad-ass picture. Yeah, I mean, AEW, one of the things that's a low-key amazing thing about AEW is that they went and basically signed all of the best
00:08:05
Speaker
like indie wrestling photographers and they all just work for AEW now, like Ryan Loco and Brain Buster and all these Scott Lesh who take all these, if you look back, they were taking all the best shots of the indies and Tony Khan just like has bought all of them. It's great because they do these paper views and you're like, wow, that's a great picture every time.
00:08:29
Speaker
That's so early in the match that that happened.

Swerve Strickland's AEW Journey

00:08:32
Speaker
It's so early. It gets so, so more fucked up. Just so you know, like I have this pulled up. The Texas death match was the longest match on the card. How long was it? 29 minutes and 46 seconds. Oh, felt like nothing, but also did feel that like it felt like it was an interesting match because there were definitely multiple times where I was like, well, that's it.
00:08:59
Speaker
And they really did just keep escalating to a level where when they did the chain spot at the end, the finish, I was like, well, hangman's getting up. We're going to keep going, right?
00:09:10
Speaker
And the fact that he does get up a little bit, a little bit, just he gets up. Just not quite enough that you're like, he's getting up and he doesn't. And you're fucking surprised. Like there's just so many little segments where they move from this section of the match to this section of the match that you just never knew where it was going. And when was the last like, you know, we've watched some great mocks matches like mocks matches are like its own thing. You know, Texas death from this year was excellent as well.
00:09:41
Speaker
Honest to God, I have erased so many matches out of my brain because of this match, where it's like death matches became new again, other than, like, this felt like watching an old school death match. This, it, I don't know, just things felt more important. Staple guns, but staple gun did feel like a nice interesting callback to when a different time in death matches.
00:10:06
Speaker
And the way the staple showed up in his chest, where at first I'm like, okay, this seems like an easy one to fake. But they made it clear very quickly, like, oh, these are showing up in his chest. There is a paper stapled him. There is a child's finger painting stapled to his face. Which Garrett, your, your son doesn't go to like daycare as much. He's a little young for this, but.
00:10:34
Speaker
eventually you will understand brilliant move here by Hangman Page. You just, you never know what the hell to do with all this art. We sent it, we had like book, a book made out of it. Cause it's like, I'm not going to keep, like we want to try to keep the memories, but you don't need all of them. But like if I had an excuse to staple, um, one of my daughter's pieces of art to someone's face, I'd be like, perfect. Tremendous. Can't believe no one's done that before.
00:11:04
Speaker
It's immortalized now in a separate piece of art. Yes. Where people get to enjoy it forever. She's either going to cherish that piece more than anything or like that's the thing she's going to talk to her therapist about the most. One or the other. One or the other. I don't know. I don't know.
00:11:32
Speaker
During the stapling portion. I don't know if Hangman is a son or a daughter. Yeah, I don't know either. But yeah, during the whole first portion of this, he is beating the shit out of Swerve. And Swerve is selling. I mean, this match opens with no Hangman entrance. He just comes in and starts beating Swerve. Within the first minute of them being in the ring, he's already given him a buckshot.
00:11:59
Speaker
Let's see, the one thing AEW seems to manage to do every single time, and I didn't notice it till the second viewing, is show somebody getting handed a blade. They never cut away. So you see Non-I-End swerve the blade and he gets it. And then later you see Hangman pull it out of his wrist tape. But, you know, that's fine.
00:12:25
Speaker
I mean, that goes back to all-in. I mean, the original all-in where you're like, oh look, there's the point where Cody's gigging himself. There's DDP going, I think you gotta get deeper, and then him gigging himself again. Did Swerve just go super deep in his head, or was his adrenaline just going? I don't know. Every time he touched the floor, there was a beautiful red puddle.
00:12:55
Speaker
Yeah. They just call me. Then when Swerve starts to come back, I mean, this just, it was such a, Swerve already a pretty big deal, but this felt like a star making match. Yes. He's had such a weird, I was thinking about this. He's had such like a weird up and down run in AEW where
00:13:18
Speaker
He kind of comes in and he's doing fine. He's just kind of doing normal things. Then the tag team with Keith Lee really takes off, right? That kind of felt like a little bit of an afterthought initially, but that really worked. And their breakup was felt like kind of a big deal. And then at the beginning of this year, Swerve is beating up Dustin Rhodes and hanging out with two guys with tattoos.
00:13:50
Speaker
Makes no sense. Both those guys, I don't even think they're in the roster anymore. No one remembers who they are. I honest to God, I don't even know if I remember this. Yeah, they're just I don't know. One guy was named Boudreaux, I think. I don't know. They're gone. Then he merges with Nana's group and you're thinking like, well, that's this is more lame stuff. That's the end of Swerve. And then he does not much for a little bit for a little bit.
00:14:19
Speaker
And then it all just sort of like takes off in this, the swerve, the, the, the dancing thing. It kind of starts getting like the stuff with Darby, right. It starts working, starts. And then he just calls out that, yeah, that basket match with Darby. Yeah, it was pretty great. He calls out hangman and now he's fuck. Like I think he's going to be the next AWW champion.
00:14:45
Speaker
legitimately could be, and I don't think a single person would be mad about it. No. No, he should be the, I mean, I actually, as I'm saying it, I actually think I think that, I think he should be the one that beat MJF. That's my take. I guess like I'm curious to see where he goes from, because it seems like whatever he does next has to be just as big. Like he is,
00:15:15
Speaker
I mean, I don't know. How do you come out of this and not just immediately be up against like the next big guy that you could be up against? And it got me excited that we could see him fight Will Ospreay at some point. That would be good. Those guys must have wrestled each other at some point, but like long enough ago that it's like not the same. I would love to see him against Omega. That's my first thought is that like
00:15:42
Speaker
I mean, who's a natural progression and character move with Hangman would be Kenny. Yeah. That'd be pretty good.
00:15:55
Speaker
It's just nice that like when I don't know. It shows that like if you go in like just give it a little time, something good can can come out of just like waiting and something taking off. It's fun when like a thing happens naturally. And I like that part of it getting him over is just Nana's dance. Yeah. Just weird. It's like one of the weird alchemies of wrestling, right, that
00:16:22
Speaker
those two guys coming together felt like very much like, I don't know, this doesn't make a lot of sense, whatever. They're just making the best out of two mediocre situations. But then that just connected in a certain weird way, their energies just kind of popped. And it's like, it's ridiculous and awesome arc. You know, it's weird, the guy that
00:16:50
Speaker
Nana makes me think of in certain ways is Don Callis, right? Because Callis was doing nothing in wrestling for the longest time. Somehow his name comes up, maybe Kenny suggests him or something, and he ends up doing some English commentary for New Japan. And the like him and Kenny thing becomes this weird, right? Like I still think
00:17:13
Speaker
the, the, one of the best, some of the best commentary performances of all time are Don, Don Callis on Kenny Omega matches during Omega's new Japan peak. He's just so great. Um, but then the, he said, he helped set up the thing with Jericho. They do the thing in a debt, like all this Don Callis wasn't in wrestling six years ago. It wasn't doing it. Like he just, and now he's got a career forever and a Giants car.
00:17:40
Speaker
And a Don Callis thing that's important to pre-determined was Jericho scaring the shit out of him as Pentagon and him falling backwards in his chair at all in. I think Derek and I laughed about that for like six days. There's just- Not quite sting, but you know. Not quite sting. That was at least six weeks of enjoying that. Six weeks.
00:18:11
Speaker
I don't know. It's just this whole paper. I mean, what else is there anything else we should cover from I mean, the 450 spot flats splash on the broken glass. That was I think that's I think that's one of my biggest expletives is the 450 splash on the broken glass is just disgusting.
00:18:35
Speaker
Equally disgusting, Hangman's moonsault with the barbed wire chair and Swerve catching him. So he has just taken that barbed wire all up and down his bicep. Disgusting. And the way the barbed wire wraps when Swerve hits him with the barbed wire chair and the barbed wire just wraps around Hangman. Gets over his head into his face and pulls.
00:19:00
Speaker
The sender block, the given Nana, the the move through the table. There's just the dead. I raise the dead. I is on the table. Is that I or is it on the it's off the apron through a table off the apron. But there was some other apron move that was also ridiculous. He does the they do a move on the apron onto a sender block. Right. Yeah.
00:19:26
Speaker
Just first time in AEW, we've seen them use the the GCW table and set up basically a barbed wire door on two chairs. Oh, yeah. And that's spot two, which is the I think it's the spot. You know, it's just about that. That I'm pretty sure what they ended up doing because he does the. He does the flipping.
00:19:53
Speaker
like moonsault thing out of that, out of that, right? With him, like Hangman does like the flipping blockbuster. Which is the spot that Mike Bailey and Nick Gates tried earlier this year and nearly died on. They did not look like they died on this one. Oh my God, you're right. Oh my God, that might be one of the, like if we had to make an end of the year list of things that made us gasp.
00:20:26
Speaker
Jesus. Yeah, it was just like, and just the intensity of it. And I love, part of it, what's been really interesting, I think, because obviously the last time they did this match, it was in Seattle, right? So it was like the swerve hometown crowd thing. This time, the crowd is not against hangman, but they're still fucking really into swerve.
00:20:50
Speaker
It was actually the crowd heat for this was very interesting because it was just like this, I don't know. There's a certain energy and when Swerve won, that's the heel winning in a dastardly way, but people were not disappointed. People were with him and it was like, that is, yeah, I don't know.
00:21:13
Speaker
Well, and it gets to the end where you think there's going to be like, you get so sad because it's been so good. And then it's like, oh my God, is there going to be a fuck finish with Brian Cage? And Cage takes a handful of forearms covered in barbed wire to his like shoulder and neck. Who became a dad earlier in the week? Are you serious? I didn't know that kid earlier in the week. Good for Cage. Yeah.
00:21:42
Speaker
I mean, even like, it made me feel a little, cause I've always liked Cage. Cage was always nice to me. Like he was at PWG shows. Like I always enjoyed watching him. Like I feel like it just never translated well in AEW, but him getting to at least make an appearance in the best match of the night.
00:22:01
Speaker
Um, moving on. What I mean, what would you say was number two of the night for you? Because I would say this was a solid card top to bottom. But I do you have I might have to break out the list. I feel like I feel like that match erased. So like I'm with you. I really enjoyed every last bit of that show. I don't think there was a single bad match on it. But
00:22:29
Speaker
Like that match was number one and the distance to number two was significant. That's reasonable. I, I don't know. I'm kind of torn. I really like, I know some people have been kind of down on the main event. I did really enjoy it.
00:22:48
Speaker
Is it because I don't like Jay White? I know a lot of fans of Jay White are mad because they say it made him look weak because he just lost to a man with one leg. But it also was like a great baby face moment for MJF. And also they're both cheating throughout, which is kind of fun. Yeah, no, I liked that match. I think it started out a little funny. It kind of got there.
00:23:16
Speaker
There was kind of an odd psychology of it, of the like the fake out to the Adam Cole thing, which felt like it was gonna set up something, but he just ended up just kind of being there for the most part. There was a little bit of the stuff with the ring. So yeah, I think the beginning part was hampered by this weird sense that something more, like that there was more fuckery coming that just didn't come. But yeah, I thought the match got there by the end. And I think it was a great,
00:23:46
Speaker
babyface performance by MJF and Jay White is, I don't know, he's the shitty cowardly heel. It's okay that he looks a little bit weak. That's kind of the whole point of the character.

Debating Jay White's AEW Role

00:23:58
Speaker
He's not supposed to be that strong. And in fact, part of the interesting, I mean, part of what made Jay White great in New Japan is that of the heels there, he was the most willing to show ass.
00:24:11
Speaker
Like he's not too precious about like, I'm a big tough man and I'm gotta, you know, I gotta always maintain my cool. It's like, no, he's like, he can, he can show a little bit of ass and they'll be fine. Yeah. Like he's the guy that can roll out of the ring and like prolong a match doing nothing. Right.
00:24:31
Speaker
I don't have any memorable Jay White matches for me from New Japan. Was he a big... Was his work rate good or was he doing like Miz shit over in New Japan that I don't really remember? So he went through a few stages in New Japan, right? He got there.
00:24:53
Speaker
He was just kind of not ready for the push, right? He had the kind of like go away heat. That's what I remember. Right. That's the beginning. That's like 2018, early 2019. Would that have been when I went to Wrestle Kingdom? Because I remember it was like him versus maybe a bougie or something. Tanahashi. No. Yeah. Him and Tanahashi. 2018.
00:25:19
Speaker
Tana Hashi that night. See, like, I just remember, like, being excited. That's when he came back. Okay. And well, he came back to New Japan, at least, you know, he's been ROH or whatever. And then he got. Better, but it was real kind of chicken shit heel stuff. It was very like. Like your.
00:25:44
Speaker
You're getting more real heat, but these matches still aren't that good and that interesting. And then he kind of got to the point where somewhere in like 2020, where he was working better and more intentionally, you could see he was kind of part of the way he was generating heat a little bit like MJF actually, I think in certain ways.
00:26:09
Speaker
But I feel like Jay White was in part generating heat by not giving you the classic New Japan match that you wanted, right? By taking his time, not in a like total, just like stall way, you know, but just by working a little bit more slowly by not kind of picking up the pace. I would feel like I joked that like evil watched the Jay White stuff and was just like slower. And it's like, no, that's not, that's not the point. That wasn't like the whole thing. It was, you know, um,
00:26:39
Speaker
So yeah, like I think he, by like 2020, 2021, he got pretty good, but at the same time, the way he was working, you're left without too many like super banger, memorable matches. You're like, Oh, that was really good and emotional or whatever, but not also they, at the same time you say emotional, but I don't really feel like they were giving his character enough of a direction to,
00:27:08
Speaker
like make stuff like deep emotional, you know, like just more like, oh, that was a really good and interesting and entertaining match. But the time that he was like for you really starting to like click or take off would have been during like a complete no crowd time of New Japan, like 2020, 21. Not with the mid crowd. Like he was in that part where it was like the clapping crowds. Okay.
00:27:38
Speaker
Right. Like when they came back in like the summer and I think he didn't come back into like the fall of 2020, but like. Like he's really good in that G1 in the fall of 2020. Yeah, it's like that. It's like he is a good wrestler, right? Yeah, there's just. Like he watches our stuff and he's like he's a good work rate guy in 2017, our wage.
00:28:08
Speaker
Try to remember if I saw him fight, I guess I probably did see him in Nashville during the pandemic at that impact show. I think it was Omega and the Good Brothers fighting him and whoever he brought into the Bullet Club while he was in impact. Oh, like Bae and Austin or something? Yeah, maybe not even Austin, but definitely Bae.
00:28:39
Speaker
Well, he was, I think one of the things that also did help him was I think he, during the pandemic, he did do some of that stuff in impact and new Japan strong. And I think it kind of helped him get over that he's like put in the context of impact. You're like, Oh, that guy's a star in a way that in new Japan, he was going toe to toe with people, but it wasn't like in new Japan in, in, in, uh, in impact, he was the,
00:29:08
Speaker
You're like, oh, that's the best guy in the show, if not Kenny Omega, right? He's one of the stars, basically. But yeah, he's had an interesting, and I think he's done well in AEW. I think the Bang Bang Gang stuff, this is, to me, the most I have enjoyed him in his whole career. Honestly, that match on this pay-per-view might end up being one of the more memorable matches
00:29:37
Speaker
I'll have seen him in, or at least one that I'll remember later. I don't know. I really enjoyed this one. I had a good time. I guess I could see some of the criticism, and especially the last two matches that had to follow that death match.
00:29:54
Speaker
You'll never hear me say this again, but that Kenny Omega Bucks match was my bathroom break. Like I literally left five minutes in, 10 minutes in and went and made a sandwich because I couldn't like, I couldn't sit still. I couldn't concentrate. I didn't know what to do with my hands watching this Kenny Omega match. Yeah. That, that, that was actually probably my disappointment of the night that match. Not that it was bad, but.
00:30:20
Speaker
I had just had such high hopes because every time it's been the Bucks against Kenny and a partner, they've literally, I think I said last week, it was like, oh, they break the scale every time. And it's like, even with Jericho, it'll be fine. It's like, I may have underestimated the Jericho of it all. But even still, I think that's part of your right is also they just, I don't know if anyone could have followed that.
00:30:44
Speaker
like Hangman match. And I almost wonder, thinking that, again, maybe the Bucks were like, yeah, we can follow it. We're the young Bucks and Kenny Omega. Yeah, we love Hangman. We'll be the ones to follow it. We'll do it. And afterwards, they were like, oh, shit, we shouldn't have followed Hangman. We shouldn't have done that.
00:31:04
Speaker
There definitely needed to be some sort. He destroyed us. Yeah, especially like there needed to be some sort of cool down. It didn't need to be followed by a 21 minute match. Like, you know. In retrospect, they maybe should have put the like Osprey signing right there or something. Or I know he's hurt and gone, but this is where you have Big Show come out and beat up Cody Rhodes friend.
00:31:36
Speaker
Yeah. Um, just to do QT Marshall big zoo again. What do you, people just needed to break guys. Okay. People needed arrest. So tied for two with me, I can't, I can't decide if it's MJF, uh, Jay white, or I really had a good time with Tony storm and Cheetah.
00:31:59
Speaker
I liked that match. I didn't love it. I loved the finish. I thought that was great. The finish is the most memorable thing for sure. She threw ass with a plate in there. Tremendous.
00:32:13
Speaker
That is just, I can't believe we hadn't seen her do that before, but I guess this is like the ultimate heel version we've seen of her. So of course it's going to be this version that does it, but like basically having a move with a bionic ass that is fucking rad. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Um, I mean, I liked, I liked mocks against orange a lot.
00:32:44
Speaker
not at the level of their last match, but still pretty great. Yeah. I think kind of everybody's in agreement. Like this was good again, but not great. You know, like the, the last one was like maybe even a classic as far as, you know,
00:33:05
Speaker
I don't know, maybe like an Orange Cassidy classic. I don't know if it'll be like the most memorable John Moxley match, but yeah, like definitely like a good main event, like something that you walked away happy that you saw that. This maybe felt like it needed, I was actually kind of surprised Orange won here. Maybe they wanted to get onto whatever the next story is, but it did kind of feel like there was some more pathos and Mox winning again and Orange finally beating him.
00:33:35
Speaker
was kind of my, maybe they, maybe they felt they need another baby face when here. So I don't know, but, um, again, nothing was bad. I mean, looking at the rest of the show, the ladder match was really good. Um, I think it just kind of hurt that I didn't really care who won. I enjoyed it. I didn't, you know, but some of the spots were really, really cool and they did a great job with it. Um, the TBS title match was again, good.
00:34:05
Speaker
Yeah, ladder match. There was like nothing particularly memorable, but it was a good time. I didn't have a bad time watching. I don't know. I am kind of happy for Big Bill. There's the fact that like he overcame the Enzo stuff and is holding a title at the other company is something I didn't see for him. You know, and I'm not. Yeah. Also, if you just if you just thought.
00:34:30
Speaker
Five years, it's like, you know, however many years ago that like big bill was the one that had a career and not in WWE, just because Vince likes tall guys. But big bills, the one that's got a career and Enzo does not. I mean, he's got height and he can't teach that. I've been told. But yeah, I mean, good for him. And I think they're I will say, though, again, the one thing I come back to is
00:35:01
Speaker
I'm not that excited for like the two of them against like Kenny and Jericho. Like I don't know. Like I hope that's a TV match. I hope that's not at world's end. I never ever thought in any time in my lifetime, I would see big casket to fight Kenny Omega though. And, uh, who knows what's going to happen with that?
00:35:27
Speaker
I mean, it will, that's going to happen. That's going to be a thing you're going to see guys. I don't know. Overall, very happy with this pay-per-view. I mean, even if it didn't have one of the best matches of the year, I would have been like, I walk away like that's pretty good show, but it did have one of the best matches of the year. And this was a great show.

Will Osprey Joins AEW

00:35:47
Speaker
Also, I don't know if you heard AW signed William Osprey. That is such good news. Very good news.
00:35:57
Speaker
I mean, we were kind of talking about this, how Kenny and Brian both said they're on the tail end of their career and you're not going to see a lot more. Like Daniel Bryan's like, this is like my last, I'm in my last year is a, uh, something in every match. Yeah. And Omega is basically like, you're not going to have very many more Kenny Omega matches. Like, so Osprey is kind of the perfect guy to fill that void that those two are going to leave.
00:36:29
Speaker
He's a big star and he's great and he's done nothing but hit this year. Like there's hasn't, I don't think there's been a bad Will Osprey match at all this year. Yeah. I think it's a great move. I think I like that it's kind of set up for him to be with Don Callis a little bit to do maybe part of the initial talking. Um, he's got.
00:36:54
Speaker
like his heaters lined up already because Aussie Open is just sitting right there. Like literally Kyle Fletcher on Instagram posted a picture of the three of them just with the caption 2024. Like he's just ready to go. Yeah, it just it makes a lot of sense. And I think it's going to be great to have him. I don't know. He can still work big New Japan shows occasionally.
00:37:23
Speaker
For real, David Finley's definitely somehow beating him and mocks at the Tokyo dome, which is fucked up, but although is Tony Khan going to be like, look, I don't know how to tell you this ghetto. You're getting a fourth in that match. He's David Finley's pinning someone else where there's going to be a very, very fucky finish.
00:37:49
Speaker
It could be that too. It's like Lance Archer shows up, it's like, I want a shot too. Like who gives a shit, hop in. It does explain to me though, cause I was like, man, Mox versus Osprey, Tokyo Dome, that'd be pretty badass. And maybe part of the deal was Tony Khan going like, no, no, no, that's not for the Tokyo Dome. That's for revolution or, or Wembley. Ooh, although I can, I think everyone,
00:38:18
Speaker
It's kind of the obvious move, but I like it of like, is Osprey challenging for the title at Wembley? I guess it could be Mox, but whoever, yeah. That could be MJF. Could be Swerve. I mean, we're not tired of MJF yet, so. No, not yet. It feels like, I do struggle to, I mean, it would be, we'll see how it goes. I do struggle to see how they get all the way to
00:38:49
Speaker
to Wembley with MJF as the champ. That feels like a long time the way the story is structured. Yeah. I mean, usually when you have a baby face as the champ, it's one of the least interesting things that can happen. But the fact that he's the baby face makes it slightly different where you're just not used to it. I think it's working and I think they've got more months in this. I just don't know if they have like nine months in it.
00:39:19
Speaker
That's a lot of months. It might be more like four or five, you know? And they have plenty of guys to take it off of him where you wouldn't be mad and it would make sense. Like Kenny Omega could have easily beaten him. Right. And again, they clearly have a place they're going. And that person could be someone, though, who's a transitional champ to Osprey.
00:39:46
Speaker
could be a potential move is someone beats MJF at double or nothing, call it, and faces Osprey at Wembley. Option. Or maybe it is. Again, maybe they stretch it a little bit too far. Maybe they get there and it's Osprey and MJF at Wembley. Maybe. I don't know. We'll see.

AEW TV Show Dynamics

00:40:10
Speaker
I feel like I'm in a weird place with AEW right now in that
00:40:15
Speaker
The weekly TV is a bit of a slog. Like Dynamite is frequently very good, but kinda up and down. It's not must watch live TV to me anymore. It's something that I can watch on a DVR and hit the beats that I want to and not spend two hours of my night.
00:40:38
Speaker
Yeah, I still pretty much like I'll watch, unless I'm really strapped for time, I'll pretty much watch dynamite all the way through collision, a hundred percent. Like if I'm not watching that live and I see a match and I'm not interested, I'm just fast forwarding to pass the commercial break. Yeah. Just going like, okay, I'll pick it up midway through. Collisions felt very much like if there's not a great match on collision, it's just been kind of there at times. And rampage is really just like.
00:41:06
Speaker
Any matches you want to see this week, you know, like, although they do a nice job. Part of what I like about, I still kind of like about rampage is there's still, I feel like good vignettes and stuff like that. So I'll always like throw rampage on, but how much of the actual wrestling I'll watch is kind of depends on the week. I feel like rampage there for a bit was the one that is like.
00:41:29
Speaker
There might not be a big match that everyone's going to be excited about, but there is like a match you'd be excited about on an indie show. Yeah. No, I think that's part of it is they've got, the roster is still so insane, right? And everyone's got different people they like where sometimes you just stumble on something and you're like, yeah, I'm in for that.
00:41:51
Speaker
Like there was like one, I forget what the lineup was, but there was one week where I was like, I like all of these rampage matches. I'm in for this Joe. You know, so I, um, to wrap up on a W and move on to something else. I watched a weird one today on my lunch break, Chris. I had never heard of this match. It just popped up in my YouTube algorithm. Um, I had not heard of dirt bike kid. Have you?
00:42:19
Speaker
I've heard the name. I don't know if I've watched any dirt bike kid matches. So I guess he's a British wrestler and he was a guy that was responsible for like bringing some of the ECW guys over to England for the first time to wrestle some indie promotions over there that he was helped booking or something. But then why I watched this is because it was dirt bike kid versus the great Sasuke.
00:42:49
Speaker
And it was in a Michinoku, was it Michinoku Pro with Sasuke's promotion? Yeah, that was his promotion, yeah.
00:42:55
Speaker
Okay, so it was that promotion and they were running a masked man tournament. So I watched this match and then found after it was over, there was another video of a guy basically being like, here's why this match was so fucked up and explaining to you the history of why this match was. And what he said was this was one of the first matches of the tournament.
00:43:22
Speaker
dirt bike kid got booked into this match because everybody's a masked wrestler and he walked to the ring wearing a mask, like a weird mask that a dirt bike guy would wear over his mouth to not breathe in dust, essentially.
00:43:39
Speaker
And I guess the Michinoku guys want made a mask for him. They're like, this is what you're going to wear. And he didn't want to wear it because he's like, this is stupid. And I don't. Why did you book me in this tournament of mask people? I'll just wear the my entrance ring mask and wear it the whole show. He gets in the ring, tears off the mask they made him. He has about a minute and a half, two minutes of offense on Sasuke.
00:44:09
Speaker
Sasuke is selling and this guy from the video, they kind of described him like, this guy was never like a really great wrestler. At one point he was an actual stunt man. So he's just getting in there and doing like quite a few exciting spots on the span of 90 seconds, but not real wrestling, no psychology, no selling, just like spot, spot, spot, spot, spot. Sasuke is trying to sell.
00:44:36
Speaker
they go back in the ring, Sasuke just starts hitting him with real life roundhouse kicks over and over again until this guy eventually like very caught off guard, doesn't really understand what's happening, ends up on the ground and Sasuke is just hitting him with rib shot after rib shot of just kicks and holding the ropes to give himself more leverage to kick harder and is also just kicking him in the face.
00:45:04
Speaker
he gets him up off the ground and puts him in an actual choke hold to where this guy taps out in two seconds. And Sasuke is just not letting go. And he eventually lets go the match is like three minutes or something. Great Sasuke by the way, top baby face in his own company.
00:45:24
Speaker
Oh, they said this was like the height of Sasuke. They said this is like the biggest he had been. And he's also running this company. And they said that the whole crowd is just like families and little kids. And everybody was visibly concerned as to what was happening.
00:45:42
Speaker
I'm imagining, because I finally just finished that show, The Wrestlers, on Netflix. And I'm just imagining the children in that crowd just watching Great Sasuke just kick a dude in the face. It's for sure. Parents, just like three-teeth parents just being like, no. No, that's not what this restaurant's supposed to be about. What did you think of it? I thought it was a fun show. Oh, I thought it was really good. I thought they did a really nice job
00:46:13
Speaker
kind of, again, showing the different, like kind of given the different perspectives on people, you know, no one's, and they kind of got, they kind of laid it out very explicitly at the end. It's like, no one's totally a baby face. No one's totally a heel in real, you know, in wrestling or in real life. I made the owner look like a real putt at the beginning. And by the end, you're just, he's just like, I'm losing a lot of money.
00:46:38
Speaker
Well, and he's also like, you can see he's trying. He's also, I think the most wrestling thing about the owner is just, he has a seizure and he's just super casual about, he's like, nah, that's fine. I can go tonight. And you're like, do you, I almost wonder if the wrestlers were like, well, that's, that guy's tough. Like once they finally saw him have a seizure and he was just like, I can drive home. They're like, man, you know, I think I understand him a little bit better.
00:47:04
Speaker
They thought he was tough until they saw him crying and saying like, Al Snow cares about me. Al Snow's such like a grumpy old bitch now. He is, although I really, it was interesting to me to see his perspective of like, my mistake is that I wasn't selfish at the right times. I could have been selfish, gotten myself over, let other people get over, let the moment happen.
00:47:31
Speaker
You know, that's a fair, maybe self-reflective point. It's interesting, I think about that for myself. You could take a lesson from that, or at least something provocative to think about. Yeah, I thought the... I did like the payoff that the one nerdy podcaster guy does get to keep his job.
00:47:58
Speaker
He's really our POV character in the show and we're like, yeah. Good for him. We need somebody to relate to. We should ask him to be on the show. I think he would be. Let's talk about what that was like. You just see him crying at a golf course missing his kid's birthday party because he's like, I'm working for the tier below AEW.
00:48:26
Speaker
Can you tell us, so can you describe to us what this feels like so that we stop dreaming this? It feels like you're a cautionary tale for us. So just please tell us more of the cautions. How did you feel that recently Hollywood Haley made her AEW debut? I hadn't finished by the time I saw it, but yeah, but good for her. I think she, I mean,
00:48:56
Speaker
Look, she's really good. Did you like the death match that she had with her mom? That was fun. It felt like they could have gone a little bit harder, although I guess she hadn't really done it. So that was probably, you know, really wanted to go harder. I'd love this. Like an Al Snow. All right. Can we do a couple, just a couple of mouse traps now? So I was like, no, Maria, there's no mouse traps tonight. Very easy. Just one pain in class. Just one pain in class. Can I get just one pain in class?
00:49:26
Speaker
No. Ian Rotten would have given me 17 panes of glass. I'm just asking for one. I'm just asking for one. And Ian Rotten's got, Ian Rotten's got hep C, Maria. There's a reason for that. I'm now snow. My body is broken, but I don't have the hep C. Come on. Yeah, no, I- Yes, Chris.
00:49:50
Speaker
I would have traveled to go to their show in Nashville, SummerSlam weekend, if I had known I was gonna get to definitely be on TV. Did you know what was happening? We're like, were you vaguely aware, like, oh, OVW is doing a thing? Literally, that's how I found out about it. They gotta do better, they gotta do better. That fucking podcast guy should have been, like, I'm the fucking target market for that bullshit. He should have,
00:50:17
Speaker
I don't know. I also really did like the behind the scenes stuff at the Ric Flair last match. That was kind of interesting. Yeah. I remember seeing Al Snow down there because they made him move. He was sitting up front with like Mick Foley. And then I remember the next time I looked down, he had moved back a row and undertakers in front of him. He's like, I get it. I get it. We should go back and we should find some of like Maria's matches.
00:50:46
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Where where did she Russell? I'm sure lots of places based on the footage, it was seemed I.W.A. Mid South seemed heavily implied. OK. Which I think all that's on on I.W.T.V. I.W.T.V. still. There's definitely a bunch of I.W.A. Mid South on there. I.W.A. Mid South was a weird
00:51:11
Speaker
There's a lot of it. So I don't know if I'm if I'm actually suggesting you do a deep dive Garrett But I feel like it's a promotion you would have enjoyed it was basically half death matches half high-end US indie shit
00:51:27
Speaker
in like 2003, 2004, but generally in front of like 40 people in Clarksville, Indiana in a bar. Yeah. So was this the promotion where like CM punk and Chris hero are doing like hour long matches? Yes. Yes. There's like a 55 minute match. There's a 90 minute match, which is they went night. I think that's the one I watched.
00:51:50
Speaker
The 91 isn't as good as the 55 is my recollection. But there's just a lot of stuff like that. There's a lot of good people who come through there. But then there's also just like just a deathmatch tournament and deathmatches and on every show.
00:52:06
Speaker
So, and apparently lady death matches- Maybe that's for next week then. Pick a- Yeah, what's my degree myself? On IWTV and actually that's, I had just heard from Kelly, Heater's wife saying like, they said they were listening to last week's episode and they're like, if you guys are getting like kind of burned out on some of that, like you need to just get on IWTV and watch more stuff. And now I'm taking that to heart a little bit.
00:52:34
Speaker
It's true. I got to get back because again, there's such crazy archives there. They got all the Jersey All-Pro stuff and they just got again and they've got all the newer deathmatch stuff like the ICW. I do feel like the today though, part of it, I feel like I had to get away sometimes from newer wrestling to kind of get back to it. And so I was from work today and was watching
00:52:59
Speaker
I watched The Raw where all the ECW guys show up in early 97, which is just interesting because you forget how dog shit a lot of the other stuff going on in the WWF was at the time. You're like, we're opening this show with the Godwins against the new Blackjacks? Okay. Yeah, that's not something I remember. No. The Legion of Doom comes back and goes to a double countout with the Headbangers. It's like, why? What's going on there?
00:53:30
Speaker
Um, there's a weird Sean Michaels video. Cause this is right after he lost a smile. Um, how long was it still like two, two hours? Yeah. Um, and then the ECW guys show up and you're like, this is pretty fun. I wonder why I started watching ECW then. Um, I also then watched
00:53:54
Speaker
Like I pulled out like a VHS that had a lot of random stuff. And so I saw Mercedes Martinez against someone in shimmer named Davina Rose. Do you know who Davina Rose is? Because I did not. I think I do, actually. I'm going to have to. I just saw the name on the tape and I was like, I don't know who that is. That is someone we all know very, very well now. Oh, I did not.
00:54:24
Speaker
Holy. Bailey. It's Bailey. Yeah. What young Bailey to this is 2010. So it's young Bailey against Mercedes Martinez and shimmer. That was pretty interesting. I watched actually didn't finish this. I was watching Trent against Chuck Taylor from PWG. Some weird Tokyo don't match that was Christian. And.
00:54:52
Speaker
AJ Styles and Petey Williams from TNA against Prince Devitt, Minoru Fujita, and Milano Collection 80 from the Tokyo Dome in 2008. Whoa. Thing that happened. Did not know that was a thing that had happened. Christian wrestled the Tokyo Dome? Christian has wrestled the Tokyo Dome. Edge hasn't. Christian has. Not yet. Not yet.
00:55:18
Speaker
him versus Suzuki this year, maybe. It's too far back. I was going to grab the tape case and see if there's anything else I'm forgetting. Oh, there we are. Oh, that was the other thing. John Cena against Brian Danielson from a velocity in 2003. Okay. Just, I don't know. Sometimes I think you got to just go back and like,
00:55:48
Speaker
Jog the weirdness of wrestling. Sometimes, especially now that there's so much AEW, there's so much New Japan and stuff, and the indies are really wrestling focused right now and not story focused, is I guess my criticism, that
00:56:09
Speaker
Sometimes she's got to jog the weird stuff and shake loose some weird parts of your brain. Maybe I gotta go back and watch some, you're right, some IWA Mid-South shows from like 2002 and just see what the fuck. You know, just watch some old, there's a lot of CZW on IWTV too. All the weird Northeast Indies are on there. Yeah, I don't know. I think there's a, I'm with you. We gotta shake things up.
00:56:39
Speaker
And you know what, I think Derek and I did that a couple times where it's just like you would get a little burnout on what you were watching, especially like for us at that time, I think we were watching a lot of WWE, especially there at the beginning and just something to refresh, refresh your love. I just think if there's just two, the AEW is just someone in the spots where they're getting a little bit
00:57:04
Speaker
WWE like in the, in just the volume of it. You know what I mean? Like just the volume of AEW shit on a weekly basis. It's a lot anyway. And it happened so quick. It did. It did. Well, part of it's that happened, you know, they introduced collision and then collision was like, okay, that's more time, but at least it's different, right? It's a whole different set of characters. Essentially it's a different group.
00:57:31
Speaker
And then quickly they were like, nah, cause we know why, but, um, but quickly, yeah. Collision just feels like thunder kind of, and we all know how we feel about thunder. And they already had a thunder with rampage. Rampage is heat now, I think. Oh, fuck mixing metaphors, but, um, sorry,

Ric Flair's Woo Energy Drink Anticipation

00:57:57
Speaker
I cut you off though. What do you want to,
00:57:59
Speaker
take us. I was gonna say I got a text from Kelly, Heater's wife, and she said, if I buy a case of woo energy, will you drink them with us?
00:58:12
Speaker
And I said, I'm not going to turn down a woo. And then she said, okay, I just ordered them. So very soon I will be able to give you a review of a woo energy, or I can even bring Kelly and Kelly and heater on and we could, we could woo energy together live on the air. Clearly now it's time for me to make that purchase.
00:58:41
Speaker
I tried to look today to see if I could go pick one up at GNC, and it did not appear that it's currently sold at GNC. I can't find anything that suggests where it's stocked, so I'm just doing it. The mix pack is ordered. It'll show up. I'm pretty sure Fax's doctors told him that he shouldn't drink water anymore, and he should only drink woo.
00:59:14
Speaker
I will take a train to fax his house just to give, to bring him a woo energy. So we will get to continue talking about beverages on this show. Something very near and dear to our hearts. We're beverage people. We love beverages as a group here. So especially dehydrated, say hydrated, caffeinated. It's important. It's important.
00:59:43
Speaker
You know, maybe woo energy is the thing I need in my life to really take me up to the next level. I don't know. What's new, just to close out the show, is there any new Billy Corrigan news?

Billy Corgan's Wrestling Ventures

01:00:01
Speaker
For the week, we haven't laughed about him in a little bit. Well, we did learn, Garrett, that he's gonna be in your neck of the woods. Is it Coldfield, Tennessee? Is that the actual name of the place?
01:00:13
Speaker
It's at, yeah, Caulfield, Tennessee. I looked it up. It was two and a half hours away. Who'd like, I sent you guys the poster. I'm trying to remember who was, he was the most famous person on the show. Oh, if I remember, uh, let's pull that up. Oh, I also saw, uh, that beast man and, um,
01:00:41
Speaker
Necro Butcher announced a match in West Virginia. Intriguing. I'm in for that. Speaking of IWA Mid-South. Here we go. How Colefield stole Christmas in the name of the show. Also, think about how sad this is because they are going for a Christmas metaphor here and Cole is in the name.
01:01:10
Speaker
and they didn't go for a cold in the stocking pun. You know what happens if you're bad? Santa comes and puts a ticket to this show and you're stocking. So Billy Corgan looking creepy as hell in the middle. Who else is on the show, Garrett? Tell us about this. NWA women's champ, Kenzie Page. NWA world television champ, Mims.
01:01:40
Speaker
Mims. Okay. Um, country gentlemen. Apparently that's not Chuck Taylor. It is not. Well, that's the Kentucky. This is the country. This is a, this is a version of Mander's not dating Sawyer wreck. Um, let's see Colby Carino. Okay. People have heard of. Okay.
01:02:06
Speaker
Um, have I heard, is Freya the slayer, somebody that was on, she was on the wrestlers. She's the one that was doing the bit where she was like trying to date the referee. Oh, you're right. That's who, cause I know when I saw that name, yeah, she's on the show. I would honestly, she's probably the one I was most interested in. Here's the thing though, Garrett, it's only $15 for ringside, $5 for children. So.
01:02:34
Speaker
And does it say children under what age? Because maybe, maybe Ozzy's first wrestling show is sitting on your lap front row for Billy Corgan. I'll get my $15 ring side. I'll leave Ozzy up in the bleachers for five. What do you think though? Bleachers is five.
01:02:55
Speaker
For real though, does Billy Corrigan have so little going on that this is worth his time? This can't be worth a weekend away from his family. Like in the grand scheme of things, like when his kids are like, where's daddy? I don't know. He's in coalfield. Like he's in a coalfield. No, he's in coalfield.
01:03:21
Speaker
He's staying at a motel eight tonight. Like, your dad's rich and famous, right? Yeah, well, he got the executive suite. What does that come with? A desk? What? Are you going to go? Because the Plaza Mariachi show was like the night before, right? That could be a wild weekend of wrestling if you did both. Oh, my God. Two and a half hours for this shit. Like, I think this is one that, like,
01:03:50
Speaker
Maybe Billy Corgan's wife lets him do this, but mine is. I'm actually trying to say that's also, it's interesting. That's also a weekend, a strong wrestling weekend in New York. Um, there's a GCW show on that Sunday night in Brooklyn. One of my favorite venues at the roulette intermedium, but Friday night,
01:04:17
Speaker
is HOG and it's got Swerve. Oh shit. And it's Swerve, I think it's Swerve against Speedball. And Prince Nana is going to be there. You get to, and you know what? No one's going to be filming you to put you on TBS when you do that dance. I mean, someone will be filming it, but it'll be on some low rent streaming service. No one will ever see it.
01:04:41
Speaker
Um, yeah, I say now. And then I think late that night, I think there's a new fear city, like, uh, death match thing happening. Um, this is hard though. I, I was definitely going GCW. Cause I really don't love the HOGs, like just the vibe in that weird club place and the announcer who's just fucking screaming at me. Um,
01:05:07
Speaker
I don't love HOG sometimes. I liked the vibe at Roulette Intermedium a lot, but on the other hand, I'm feeling like I got to go see sort of Strickland in person again. I don't know. Like he just, just crushed it. It is kind of fun that he's like, you know, calling your name, that he's now somebody that you're like, he's in a room and I want to go be in that room with him. Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, I've been in the room with them. I mean, I've watched them, you know, MLW and stuff like that. It's I can't remember what it's called. It's December 3rd. It's what's up something. I don't remember. They called it. What is your choice? I'm just seeing what you got on that show. What's your choice? I know it's it's. The only actually the only match I remember is Holiday and Hammerstone.

against Pero and Charles Mason. So I'm looking at the card that has been announced. There's a W GCW world title match between Blake Christian and little Guido. Oh yeah, that should be fun. Love me some Guido. Uh, Rina versus Deppin. And, uh, you know, you see Kaya, uh,
01:06:33
Speaker
Sayaka, I might be saying that wrong, versus Billy Starks. See, it's going to be a good, I mean, again, looks like the last GCW show there, I think it's going to be a good show. It's going to be fun. And it says you got Maki Ito, Gage, Cardona, no matches for them, but they're there. Oh, Maki, oh, Maki Ito versus Bailey. Oh, Speedball? Yeah.
01:07:00
Speaker
That's interesting. I don't feel like again, pregnant wife, not sure I can do two shows in a weekend though. So it's weighing this against speed ball against swerve. And I think a couple other things on that show too. I think it's, um, hard donor against, uh, Mike Santana on, uh, yeah. Well, does what's better that or gringo loco versus Alex Shelley.
01:07:29
Speaker
That, that'll be fun. Again, I think the GCW show is going to be a better top to bottom show. I actually don't doubt that much in a better venue. Really. It's just the sort of Strickland of it after last weekend. You kind of want to do that dance. I kind of want to go do that dance. Like, you know, and like, look,
01:07:53
Speaker
Everyone's going to do this, but everyone's going to want this pick of doing the dance with Nana, right? And the meet and greet. Like that's right. How he's for sure going to be there. For sure. Yes. They've announced that they were very clear about that. I could just show up for the meet and greet. That's true.

I don't know, it's a hard one. I got a week and a half to figure this out. But it's tricky, it's tricky. Yeah, I think December 1st is my show at Plaza Mariachi. I still need to get a ticket to that too. Do you think it's gonna sell out?
01:08:39
Speaker
Um, I mean, I'm sure front row will, but also like, it's kind of a, like it's a pretty big place, but not big enough that like standing in the back, you're going to have a very good view. So I don't know. Well, we'll see. And it's going to be like table, see tacos and marks. Well, there's normally tables. The last time I was there, we watched a mariachi band. Uh, Ozzy loved it. He was very into the mariachi. Um, I was hoping it was just going to be like dinner theater.

where you could like sit down, eat a full Mexican meal while watching some wrestling. Cause that's when, when Outlaw used to do the brewery in Queens, they would just have like beer, like, like picnic tables out and you could like order food and just kind of like hang out and sit down and beer, you know, having beers and watching the show, which I thought was great. It's been a bummer. They haven't, they did, they did some of them earlier this year, but I think they were, the brewery was having trouble with something, but they were also were like Thursday nights and it's like,
01:09:39
Speaker
27 year old me very excited for Thursday nights at the brewery, 40 year old me a little bit less. So, um, but, um, let's just be, let's be clear pre-chilled pre-children me fine with Thursday nights at the beer, at the beer hall. Um, but yeah, I think, I think the, the, the, the city winery just, you know, dinner and entertainment model at work. So bring it Plaza Mariachi.

Looking forward to it. I'm happy that they finally brought in enough people that justified the price to me. Right. Unless I just turn around at HOG and you've flown in straight to JFK, because the HOG show is basically at JFK Airport and you're just like, I showed up, let's do the dance.
01:10:37
Speaker
Do you see the clip that Nyla Rose snuck of, um, of, uh, Aubrey doing the dance behind the curtain? All right. Well, I think, uh, those that we got anything else this week, I feel like we, we really covered what we enjoyed and, uh,

It was a good week. It was a good week. Our love of wrestling. Thank you. Thank you, Swerve. Thank you, Hangman. Thank you, Nana. Thank you. Thank you, all three of you. You've brought joy to the cuckolds of our heart. You know what? Thank you, Brian Cage. You were there too. Okay. Glad you had a baby. Good for you.

Yeah, and you know what? He's all got on the pay-per-view, he got a little pay-per-view payday, which is, he needed that. That's good diaper money. That's good diaper, yeah. And you gotta know, it's broken cage, he's gonna tear a couple of diapers in the process, you know? Yeah, he's, it's really hard to gently peel the Velcro-y thing up there. All right, everybody, thanks for listening this week. We'll be back next week. After you determine podcasts on Instagram, at Gartan, at ChrisMigs,
