We're going to discuss everything from our predictions for the national tournament, team rosters, news, notes, and every happenings in the whirly ball world, including could 100 whirly ballers beat a gorilla?

Sully Shaheed: But we got to get back in these streets tonight because... the Chicago boys are doing their thing the the the the Seattle boys are doing their thing and it's about time that us on the whirly ball mean edition as you deemed it get back in these podcasts and streets so chili welcome back what's going on how you feeling this second round trying to record this damn thing guess what we're gonna power through just like we always do how you doing man
Chilly: Now I'm doing great. um You know, obviously, like you mentioned, the other two podcasts are doing their thing. ah Check them out. Give them a like. Give them a listen. Give them a view. ah Both the, you know, the the Seattle guys, the Chicago guys, again, they do great.
Chilly: That would be the last nice thing I say about them. Maybe. um but No, man, it's been great. um You know, it's it's cool to be back here, you know, recording, shooting the shit.
Chilly: ah You know, we'll get into, you know, so a wide variety of topics ah here on the Mean Edition. um Again, if you want, you know, everybody, all the other podcasts a little bit nicer. The Seattle guys are by far the nicest.
Chilly: um The Chicago guys, you know, they they they do a pretty good job. but They have some nice ribs in there, you know. and then And then, you know, we're down here, you know, we're slumming it, you know.

Sully Shaheed: Hey, listen, man. Listen, i don't I don't have the editing skills, no fancy overlays, no Twitch streams, no nothing. I can barely get my own damn internet to work.
Sully Shaheed: So you can forget all that. It's just going to be me and you shooting the shit about whirly ball and grown men and women playing in bumper cars shooting a freaking wiffle ball at a backboard for a few days.

Sully Shaheed: That was a fun conversation. I'm glad we get to revisit that because you thought of a couple key names that we might have to throw in that debate.
Chilly: Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: So, yeah, I'm behind that.
Chilly: Yeah. Hey, man, if we go center by, if we were to legit go center by center, our center ain't so bad. i think we gotta, to like, we we we give a lot of good fighters to the fight.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, I think we bring more quality, obviously, than quantity. But, yeah, I think the quality of our squad could –
Chilly: Yeah, we're not bad.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, I don't think that andll we'll get there. We'll get there. We'll get there.
Chilly: We'll get there.
Sully Shaheed: We'll get there. We're sure. For as sure. So Chile, couple of weeks out. Nationals. It's about that time to fly out to Seattle. I got to get your opinion, man. what's ah What are you looking forward to the most about the Seattle trip?
Chilly: um I mean, Seattle is one of my favorite places to go, although it did have one of my you know worst Worley Ball experiences there. willing to put that in the past. We'll kind of get into that. Actually, a little bit later when we talk about the the controversial Chicago D team, which isn't really controversial, but we'll get to there.
Chilly: um But again, man, I love I love the city. um the the center, again, obviously, it's a little, you know, tight. um But again, I like their cars in court, so playing there isn't, you know, it's no big deal to me.
Chilly: Cars are pretty similar to ours, a little bit different, but nothing crazy. So it's actually probably my favorite center to play at, minus our own.
Sully Shaheed: Right.
Chilly: So I'm excited. I'm excited. Plus, I do enjoy the actual city itself.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, the city is beautiful. um There's lots of stuff to do. The only my only gripe with the city is there's one main highway. One is one way in one way out.
Sully Shaheed: You know what saying? So like other than the traffic, but like, you know, Chicago has horrible in traffic. Michigan traffic's not so bad. Cleveland, there's so many like different highways and you can take to get around. like Ours isn't bad either. but like I don't know, man. That one way in and one way out with Seattle is kind of kind of disturbing to me.
Sully Shaheed: But other than that, a fantastic effing city.
Chilly: It's a little rough, but we we'll we'll make do.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah. Yeah, first time I was there, i did the float. The float was fun. oh The whirly ball itself sucked ass because that tournament, again, we'll we'll get there when we talk about a controversial D-team.
Sully Shaheed: That kind of sucked ass. And then the second time I went, almost passed away. So that was not fun either. So um I'm trying to... remain positive about this trip to Seattle.
Sully Shaheed: I would like to stay healthy. i would like to stay happy. And I would like to play some good whirly balls. So those are, those are the goals coming up here in a few weeks.
Chilly: Yeah, i would really I would really prefer not to be running for my life in downtown Seattle, up and down them hills, to ah find you something at a pharmacy, arguing with the lady like, hey man, this is this dude's about to die. i need it now.
Sully Shaheed: i don't think ah I don't think a lot of people know that story. i think us Cleveland people know it because you guys had to go through it.
Chilly: I don't think so either.
Sully Shaheed: But I don't think a lot of people outside the center know that I almost literally passed away in Seattle by eating the wrong food. So that was an experience.
Chilly: Oh, dude.
Chilly: Dude, what a
Sully Shaheed: The whole asthma attack, the throat swelling, the the face swelling. the i mean, i yeah, I was near death if you guys didn't get that medicine for me.
Chilly: what?
Chilly: Yeah, dude. I just running up and down them hills, running through the city, trying to find like a CVS. Oh my goodness.
Sully Shaheed: We're just trying to have some fun at an arcade. And nope, nope, nope. Sorry, Sully's about to die. big deal.
Chilly: you're like your face your face was but was out to here.
Sully Shaheed: But other than that.
Chilly: Like your cheek was literally out to here. It's holy shit.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, my biggest fear after that was um were they going to let me on the plane?
Chilly: Oh, bro, right.
Sully Shaheed: like I literally thought they were not going to let me fly. And I knew i was going to be able to come home.
Chilly: I didn't think so either. yeah I didn't think so either. i probably would have stayed. I probably would have stayed with you, but they put...
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, but luckily, luckily, they let me fly. I got home. I rested for like three straight days. And here we are, back and better than ever. Crawling my way up in the ranks of defenders in Whirly Ball.
Sully Shaheed: Don't at me.
Chilly: and Ninth best. everybody Everybody mentions it.
Sully Shaheed: i like oh I like how some of my words taken to heart, you know, by a select group of people. um I remember last year we went to when we went to to Chicago, and the first man I was confronted by you-know-who.
Sully Shaheed: Joe Tiffany was not happy but i that I picked freaking Flores as my favorite whirly ball player.
Chilly: No, man. um man
Sully Shaheed: And it, this motherfucker ain't won nothing. You gonna take Chris Flores. And I'm like, listen. Drunk Tiffany. Okay. Don't be coming at me like that.
Chilly: me
Sully Shaheed: You are America's favorite player. Okay. I have the right to be contrarian and select someone one else that I enjoy watching play the game rolly ball.
Sully Shaheed: I have the right.
Chilly: he was
Sully Shaheed: And obviously, go ahead.
Chilly: He was pretty upset. he was pretty upset
Sully Shaheed: I mean, Joe Tiffany is my man. You know what I'm saying? He's he's good, dude. Great rolly ball player. but man, man. Somebody know he's in my top five favorite players.
Sully Shaheed: You know, if I had a top five, he'd be like five. But, you know, I steal my mans.
Chilly: Yeah.
Chilly: I still get yelled at by Kyle that I ranked him too low on the goalie list.
Chilly: So if we do the list, I'll bump Kyle up. He's made a hell of a sales pitch over the last year to move up.
Sully Shaheed: Okay. Okay. All right. Well, we we can reveal...
Chilly: We'll see. And we'll see how he plays, you know. Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: I was going to say, this is a post-Nationals type of ranking, okay? Because things can be adjusted on the fly. So after this set of Nationals, there might be some new contenders, you know i'm saying, in the top 10.
Sully Shaheed: there There might be some shuffling going around. But ah yeah, I think post-Nationals, after we do the ah you know the review, I think that would be an appropriate time to consider some some ranking changes. How about that?
Chilly: Yeah, yeah, no, for sure. You know, we'll we'll let the bust out the list again. You know, you have some people not playing. So obviously they get booted off the list because we only do current.
Sully Shaheed: Right? Yeah?
Chilly: So, you know, some spots open up, you know, we got fresh blood in there.
Sully Shaheed: Right?
Chilly: So, you know, we'll see.
Sully Shaheed: Oh, yeah.
Chilly: We'll see what happens, you know, see who can who can make the list.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, I'm content on defending my title as number nine, all right?
Chilly: but Dude, just ask everybody everybody.
Sully Shaheed: I'm not-
Chilly: Everybody knows you are number nine.
Sully Shaheed: Hey, listen, i might um might move my um I might move my damn self up, okay? Because already know there's going be some fucking backlash. Oh, he's only playing C. Man, I'm going to block that ass in A2, okay?
Sully Shaheed: Okay? Anyway, let's move on. Cleveland, how are you feeling about our teams? How are you feeling about your team in particular? and and And are we going to make some noise coming out to Seattle this year?
Chilly: I mean, I think so. I mean, I'll start with, you know, ah you know, Sean and ty um you know, obviously playing with, ah you know, some of the Seattle guys and Gary Long.
Chilly: I'm very excited to watch the, you know, kind of the misfit team there, see how they're going to pull it together. um i mean, they do have a Gil on their team, so I'm expecting him to carry them to a title.
Chilly: Your last name is Gil. Uh, all the, do you all du the Samoan dynasty, the guild dynasty.
Sully Shaheed: It's the dynasty. It's the rock. It's the dynasty.
Sully Shaheed: The Gill dynasty, it grows.
Chilly: Um,
Sully Shaheed: It grows infinitely.
Chilly: um so excited to watch them. Uh, I think our C teams are going make some noise, man. You guys have, all of you guys have been playing really good. Uh, a lot of growth, uh, out of our C players, uh, not only from your team, but from the other team as well, with Michael, Josh, Ryan, Craig, and Jim.
Chilly: Um, You know, so again, i think our C teams are going to be improved from last year. and then for us, a guys, you know, it's just kind of this business as usual. Obviously, we kind of we just, you know, we got the addition of, you know, Patrick from Seattle. So a lot of experience.
Chilly: that he brings, uh, driving the cars. Uh, he makes us taller. Uh, he's, you know, that's a big boy back there with Jarrett, man. That's, it's a lot of hype back there minus, you know, Brad and then my extended ass. So again, you know, there's a, there's a lot of hype back there. So, um, it'll be fun to play with Patrick kind of work out that dynamic. And I think he's going to open up a lot of stuff for us. Um,
Chilly: So i'm I'm excited, especially with it being in Seattle, um having that experience and that driver on our team is going to help for sure.
Sully Shaheed: The damn strength ain't gonna hurt. That's for freaking sure. so
Chilly: No
Sully Shaheed: I'm very excited to watch you guys play. I'm excited to see a lot of the teams play, to be honest. You know, that's um the Misfit D team, like you mentioned. You know, i i mean, I lobbied hard for Ty to play C.
Sully Shaheed: And I know he gets the experience D. He should experience D. But, you know, his growth and his, you know, acumen for the game has grown exponentially, you know, because he got that fever basically last year when he came to watch us play.
Chilly: Right.
Chilly: Dude, that man got hooked.
Sully Shaheed: And he's been...
Sully Shaheed: He's been hooked ever since, baby.
Chilly: Dude.
Sully Shaheed: A nice father-son dichotomy with him and Eric, man. I think that's going to be cool to see in the future, you know, when they do get to play on the same team together. um But like I said, you know, I lobbied to play with him this year.
Sully Shaheed: You know, I would not i have been opposed to Ty playing C at all. I mean, and even Little Sean. Little Sean is the same way. You know, like he's grown exponentially. He does get pouty.
Sully Shaheed: You know, he's he's he's a bit pouty, ah you know.
Chilly: Damn it!
Sully Shaheed: Damn it!
Chilly: its
Sully Shaheed: ah you know but But minus that, um he's been playing well. And, you know, I was very proud of him, especially that last game that we played at our last practice when he was on my team. And, you know, he was picking and he did everything a picker should do.
Chilly: Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: And I was very, very proud of him, gave him props. And I saw a little smirk.
Chilly: and and billie m And Billy still yelled at him.
Sully Shaheed: It's all little smirk on his face. And Billy will still...
Chilly: Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: Well, Billy yelled at Ricky. He yells at me. It don't matter. It don't matter. Billy's going to yell at you. Okay? He's fucking yell at you.
Chilly: he doesn't yell at you
Sully Shaheed: But... He gently talks to me saying, stop shooting that fag shot, which he likes to call it. And every time I drain it over fucking Jared, he don't say shit.
Sully Shaheed: You think I'm shooting through Jared? No. I'm laughing it over his ass. I learned that shit from you. so please let me shoot my shot. All right.
Chilly: yeah Yeah, I tend to stay, i tend to not fall victim to the Slim Reaper.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, man. Slim Reaper. Definitely. Definitely. We, uh, we, I think, uh, what was it on the, uh, Chicago podcast? They were talking about nicknames and slim is a self-proclaimed nickname, correct?
Chilly: ah
Sully Shaheed: Or did someone deem him that?
Chilly: I don't think he gave himself that nickname. I think somebody gave it to him.
Sully Shaheed: Okay. All right.
Chilly: Or he's a really big fan of Devonta Smith.
Sully Shaheed: Right. Right. Which is fine as well, but he's a Broncos fan though. He you don't give a damn about the Eagles.
Chilly: Oh, God, no. Yeah, no. I don't think he dubbed himself. I don't think he gave himself that nickname. I think somebody gave it to him. It wasn't me, but I think somebody gave it to him.
Sully Shaheed: That's fair. I mean, it's a nice nickname. I'll give him that. I'll give him that.
Chilly: It fits. It fits the bill.
Sully Shaheed: Oh, without question. I mean, he doesn't just deflect your shots. That motherfucker is sending you packing. Ask his highlight reel. Look at his TikTok. It's a whole damn highlight reel.
Sully Shaheed: Ain't that right, Timmy? Ain't that right? a Sorry. But he's got all of us on the fucking highlight reel, so it ain't him. It's everybody. So...
Chilly: Yeah, I mean, James is on it. Sam's on it.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah.
Chilly: Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah. You know, you know, you got to have some balls to make a whole ass. I remember this one time I blocked James Gill, man. Shit. My fondest memory was a James Gill is him giving me a handshake and making me a scoop. And that was the happiest moment of my worthy ball career.
Sully Shaheed: I mean, it wasn't, but you those are my only interactions with Mr. Gill. So. But moving forward, so you have confidence in our teams. That's great. Confidence in yourself, of course.
Sully Shaheed: But as far as the actual whirly ball goes, as you mentioned, that the the cars are very similar to ours. um Do you think that you think that gives us a slight advantage or doesn't at least put the advantage that the Seattle guys would have against you know us or other centers? Because like I said, our cars run virtually the same.
Chilly: Yeah. I mean, the Seattle cars, I think push a lot better than ours, a lot more torquey, especially in the front. Um, where i think in our cars, if you kind of like make a tiny mistake, you can recover, not in their cars.
Chilly: You're asked to pushed out of the way. Like, you know, there's no, there's like, you're off by inch this much. You're done. Um, So they'll they'll drive a little bit different, but pretty similar.
Chilly: um Obviously the Seattle guys are going to have an advantage. It's their cars, their courts, you know, backboards, all that fun shit essentially. um But I think it gives us an advantage at least to start over the other centers.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: Oh, yeah. yeah
Chilly: Right.
Sully Shaheed: Right.
Chilly: Like, so it's not going to take, it shouldn't take our guys very long to be acclimated. um And, you know, obviously through our practices, you know, you know, us A guys have stressed that guys to you on how to position your cars and where you're going to lose at their center versus where you're not going to lose. So, um i mean, I think for us, like I said, I love playing at that center. so I like the cars ain't gonna make no difference to me. And I think for our center, it should be pretty similar.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, I'm excited. I'm very excited. Like I said, you know, as long as we get some quality court time, get used to the cars. Like I said, I think it's a I think it's a advantage for us because it won't take as long.
Sully Shaheed: to get used to those cars, but you're talking like the Minnesota guys, the, the, the, the Michigan guys who, you know, use still clutches on one of their courts, you know, like court one and court two in Michigan is completely different game.
Sully Shaheed: It's a completely different game. Not just, you know, the cars, it's completely different, but you know, having those guys adjust and um you know, just, just making sure they're competitive, um which obviously they will be.
Chilly: Yeah.
Sully Shaheed: um And we'll talk about team structures here in a little bit, but, i think dave I think they've got um a fighting chance, just like every center. I think every center has a fighting chance, no matter you know what center you're at or what car.
Sully Shaheed: I mean, come tournament day, everything's out the damn window and throw it all out and let's fight it out. So I'm pretty pumped about it. I'm pretty pump So um i think I think we can get into it, man. let's ah let let's Let's see what we got cooking in every division.
Sully Shaheed: Let's make some predictions. Let's talk a little controversy and kind of go from there.
Chilly: controversy controversy
Sully Shaheed: Controversy. So let's ah but start from the bottom. Let's start from the bottom now we're here. Let's talk about this D division, man. What what what are we looking at for D? What centers are representing in D?
Chilly: yeah uh i mean obviously in the uh in the d division um you know you have some seattle teams uh you you have chicago I believe you do have a a Texas team here.
Chilly: um Again, you have, yeah, so right now d in the D division, you're looking at six teams. um So, again, three Seattle, our Misfit team, Chicago, in Texas. So, again, it's kind of hard to judge the D division. um I'm making picks.
Chilly: um Obviously, we do have the controversial ah D team, which has four players, uh, kind of dropping back down into D. Um, it was voted on the committee and it was, uh, approved.
Chilly: Um, so they are fairly in D. So let me stress that now, initially I did vote yes. Um, and that's what my vote was for. ah but truthfully, had I, ah had Noah kind of made his point, uh,
Chilly: you know, on our committee that he kind of made on their live stream, I probably would have switched my vote. um Obviously, so Noah's point was, is that Chicago, um you know, whatever you want to call it, stack the C team or, you know, they're better players, you know, so to speak, are all on their C team that these guys didn't want to play C because they couldn't win.
Sully Shaheed: What was the point? What was the point?
Chilly: because they couldn't beat the stack team. um You know, again, I don't know how Chicago does their teams. They say they kind of just let their own players make their own teams. and That's their choice. You know, they don't have like a committee or whatever, you know, making teams. um I think had I really, really heard that point, I think my decision would have went the other way.
Chilly: um But my other point, like for me, I've been in their shoes where you get put into a division
Sully Shaheed: Mm-hmm.
Chilly: that you don't want to play in ours was a little different. Cause we had to get, we had to get moved from C to B, um you know, and we were legit C players versus them going down a division. So I get it. Now there are some precautions on them.
Chilly: Um, if they start to do too well, they will just get moved up into the C tournament. So again, you know, there is that dynamic.
Sully Shaheed: Mm-hmm.
Chilly: um And again, there's no guarantee that they're going to come out and and kill everybody. So, you know, again, we're all the speaking on what if. um But I guess for me, like, I think the mentality to say that you're not going unless if you play down, i think that's just, I think that's a little weak at the end of the day.
Chilly: um You know, you should strive to want to beat these guys, you know, beat your own center C teams. Like, you should you should want to strive to beat that. So, like, I think just saying you're not going, again, so I don't count that as, like, if we would have told you no, I wouldn't have felt bad about you not going.
Chilly: Because, like, at the end of the day, you should you know you should want to try and get better and play in a harder division.
Sully Shaheed: Sure.
Chilly: ah But, again, there's no guarantee that these guys – You know, Wendy, and again, they were voted legally. So, again, no no arguments there, and there's those precautions. But I think just for those guys going forward, just kind of alter your mentality a little bit.
Chilly: Because, again, man, you should want to beat them. Again, you're only get you would only had to play C, and you would have been legal C players. It would have been like us where we were got forced to go up a division.
Sully Shaheed: Right.
Chilly: so And we had the option to drop back down, and we literally told Tom, no.
Sully Shaheed: No.
Chilly: We'll take our ass whooping because you forced us to play here, and we'll move on our way. So, it was and we did.
Sully Shaheed: And we did it. mean, we did. We got cranked. And I mean, and and and that was one of the years, that was the years that like our B division was like nothing.
Chilly: We got.
Sully Shaheed: So our seeding games were half right? And then half C.
Chilly: Yeah, right. We're out there.
Sully Shaheed: And then every C team we went against, we beat their ass.
Chilly: 2014, we're out there playing Mike Wall.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, every C team we went against, we beat their ass.
Chilly: Correct.
Sully Shaheed: And every A team we went against, we got our asses kicked. So it's like, what do we want to do?
Chilly: And B team. Every B team destroyed us.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, every every single one. And you know what? Like you said, it's a mentality thing. It's like, yeah, the experience kind of sucked for what it was. But at the same time, it made us better.
Sully Shaheed: So I'm okay with that.
Chilly: It did.
Sully Shaheed: I'm totally fine with that. So yeah, i get it. You know, like your mentality should be a, I mean, first of all, the trip is, you know, it's about the community. You want to meet more people. You want to hang out with people. You want to explore the cities that you get to visit.
Sully Shaheed: It's a vacation. For most of us, it's our vacation, you know? So minus that, like if you're trying to get more experience in Worley Ball, you have to play up.
Sully Shaheed: I mean, like, and I'm not saying that they're going to go out and kill, you know, the D division. I'm not saying that. That's not, that that may or may not happen. But at the same time, yes, they are it there is this pre, the precaution of them saying,
Sully Shaheed: If you are beating every D team's ass, you will get moved up. But if I heard that.
Sully Shaheed: I'm sandbagging.
Sully Shaheed: I will make every game close to the point where it's not noticeable.
Chilly: i mean
Chilly: I mean, they could.
Sully Shaheed: I might even lose a couple of games.
Chilly: i mean, they could.
Chilly: I mean, they could. i mean, i wouldn't be I wouldn't be the person to call anybody out on that.
Sully Shaheed: Right. And and that's that's a judgment thing at that point as well. You know, like, are they trying? Are they trying to keep this game close? But again, it's it's different division, right?
Chilly: Um...
Sully Shaheed: So...
Chilly: Well... But, I mean, I will also state, and Noah did bring this up on their podcast as well, um there is the ultimate gym defender. um That's name is Tom.
Chilly: And if Tom don't like it, um you don't have a choice.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah. Yeah.
Chilly: No matter what the committee says, we are in that man's house. We abide by his rules.
Chilly: Whether you like it or not,
Sully Shaheed: That's ah the old level 51 Blissey, the gym defender.
Chilly: The ultimate gym defender. So, I mean,
Sully Shaheed: As soon as you see her in there, you're like, you know what?
Chilly: i mean, we've all been.
Sully Shaheed: Sorry, that's a Pokemon reference for all you guys that don't know Pokemon. Yeah, we're going to talk about Pokemon Go 2. Remember, if you're playing that Pokemon, we're going to be in these streets, okay?

Chilly: Yeah, just a sidebar. I mean, I remember at the last Nationals, I had a 45-minute one-on-one conversation with Tom about Wings playing in D.
Sully Shaheed: Mm-hmm.
Chilly: Like, Tom legit stopped the court during their tournament game and told Wings to get the fuck off the court. He said, what is that C player doing on the court and everything? Like, Tom legit came out there and said, stop the game.
Chilly: So...
Sully Shaheed: yeah

Chilly: Again, all experience. it's It'll be Greg's like second year in A. So, again, he looked a little timid last year, but I don't know how much of that who excuse me was playing with Flores.
Chilly: So, again, here... ah Texas, you know, not bringing the best five that they can, but man, again, still a tough team not to be meant to take be taken lightly.
Chilly: And then again here, yeah again, Michigan, ah we're looking at, you know, one team is Sam, Timmy, Clint, ah Driscoll, and David Bernard.
Chilly: ah The other team, we're looking at Doug, Austin, Kalen, Johner, and Ben. um Again, two really solid teams. um I think a little bit kind of two different teams, truthfully, um in the dynamics. So, um you know, played against both teams, you know, when we had that practice. So um it'll be interesting, man, um you know, to see to see what they're going to do.
Chilly: Obviously, know, a lot of the team's biggest hurdle is, you know, is going to be those cars. You know, how can Michigan adjust to the cars and in Atlanta and, you know, Chicago and all of these guys adjusting to the cars again, um you know, for us, it won't again, Seattle obviously will have the biggest driving advantage no matter what, um you know, for us, it won't be that big of a change up, obviously different, but, but again, for us, man, having Patrick,
Chilly: Kind of it can kind of hide some things and make things go faster. um and he can give us a little, you know, insider information on what to do and not to do in those cars. So um it'll be fun. it It'll be fun for sure. But man, again, man, A's A's packed with talent like it always is. So it'll be fun.
Sully Shaheed: Yeah, ah you know, to to my previous point, and like like I mentioned, you know, i I love everybody, you know, in this community as people. And it's never or rarely any disrespect meant to, you know, any other teams that I talk about because I try and talk shit about every damn team that I have an opportunity to do so.
Sully Shaheed: So, um you know, i wish nothing but the best for those Chicago guys and the Texas guys who, like you said, are not bringing, you know, quote unquote, their best guys. But, you know, I think everybody has the capability of playing extremely well.
Sully Shaheed: And, you know, come tournament day, those lights cut on and it's a completely different beast. It's completely different animal come tournament day. You know, the longer games, the intensity kicks up, you know, every shot matters, every block matters, every loose ball matters.
Sully Shaheed: um I think that, you you know, what seems like a disadvantage on paper could not necessarily translate to tournament day. So, you know, who's to say Chicago can't make a run? Who's say Texas can't make a run?
Sully Shaheed: Who's to say any team that's in any division, for that matter, can't make a run? So, um you know, I think that, like, to your point, it's some things you could have got away with in different divisions that you probably can't get away with in other divisions. And I think that they have, ah you know, Chicago specifically has practiced that.
Sully Shaheed: I mean, you know, whatever their game is that was conducive in winning, you know, the last division might not translate. And they probably know that. So improving their game throughout the year will probably show on the court when we get out there, you know, come Nationals time. So and with Texas, it's a shame because 90 percent of my favorite players in Texas aren't coming.

Sully Shaheed: You know, do you want to get clapped up by these guys? I mean, it's extra court time. It's extra experience. Will you get clapped up? Absolutely. But it's an experience that you can't get anywhere else.
Sully Shaheed: That's the thing. So, like, our invites are great when we mix up teams. It's a rare opportunity to play with guys from other centers. Guys and girls, I should say, from other centers. it's ah It's an awesome time, you know, being able to intermingle with with other players. You know what I'm saying? Like, some of the funnest memories I have of Worley Ball are invites.
Sully Shaheed: You know, because and those practices in Michigan where I get to play with Austin and Kalen and all those guys like that's fun for me. And that's genuine experience. You don't get that from, you know, get not going out there and getting your shit pushed in.
Chilly: Right.
Sully Shaheed: You know what i mean? Like sometimes you just got to get your shit pushed in and that's it. But you learn from it. And it's a great humbling experience. So I think like, you know, not saying that like it has to be like, oh, unlimited, the best of the best of the best.
Sully Shaheed: But it's like if your center has five good players, which every center does, let him fucking go at it, man. And then see what happens. You know?
Chilly: Yeah, I mean, even, um you know, obviously when we got to, you know, play, again, against Michigan, we played a legit 30-minute game. um And even that, like, it's a it even felt like just a different intensity level, you know, out there.
Chilly: Even just kind of giving them, because obviously they wanted to practice too, um you know you know, in that game, You know, you learned a lot about what you can do and you can't do, even from like an A-level, you know.
Chilly: So, um ah you know you know, yes, we did win, um you know. And, you know, obviously, you know, we could run that game back, you know, and we may never beat them again. i don't know, you know.
Chilly: um But, you know, we did win. So, you know, for somebody like me, like I literally said when I walked off the court, like, I could go home. i Like I literally could have drove home that night. I'm like.
Chilly: I'll see y'all in Seattle. Like, that was, you know, man.
Sully Shaheed: It's the experience. It's the experience, man. Like you don't get, you don't get that anywhere else.
Chilly: Yeah, it was a different feeling. So um would it be cool to play in if they allowed us to play in it? Yes. You know, but, again, we'll we'll see. You know, we'll we'll see what they say. Either, you know, because, again, you know although we have Patrick, you know, Patrick's team Cleveland. So, my you know, just let our A team play in it.

Sully Shaheed: if you could If you had to move and play for another center, a life job comes up, something like that, because we've seen you know Jeremy, who's been a long time, Michigan guy, he's going to be Chicago guy now, you know something like that.
Sully Shaheed: If you had a dream center, That you can move to. Who who who would you play with?

Sully Shaheed: You can't represent Cleveland anymore. You're out of here. You're gone. Who are you playing with?
Chilly: oh Yeah, I'm probably going to go play for Seattle.
Chilly: ah ah that That's probably – for me personally, ah already play like them, already were learned from Tom.

Chilly: um Again, we play pretty similar to them, so I don't think it's a hard fit. ah Plus, they're a literal factory of talent. So, you know, they very rarely go through a drought.
Chilly: um You know, if you look at some of these these other centers, you know, what are they doing talent-wise? You know, Chicago is building, ah you know, building up their player pool, which is good for them. We're slowly trying to build up our player pool.
Chilly: Texas, you know, Michigan, I think, is in a little bit of an influx of talent versus what they got coming up. Yeah.
Chilly: Texas, again, man, a lot of those guys, they they do life, you know, they're and stuff like that and um and stuff like that. So for me, Seattle, ah i mean, in terms of this, number one, i can legitimately move out to Seattle for my job.
Chilly: ah Number two, ah number two, the the city itself, I do like it there. And there is a lot of ah all the other extra shit that I do outside of Forley Ball.
Chilly: There's a lot of that there. And like high competition level. So, but yeah, no, Seattle for me, ah just from a whirly ball playing fit makes the most sense.
Sully Shaheed: Sure.
Chilly: And again, you're learning from, look at all the experience you're learning from, not to say that the other centers don't offer it, um but you, you have guys that have done nothing but win there, you know, ah James, Joe, Barrett, you know, you got a lot of these.

Chilly: so I mean, Christy, Carl, again, you know, just to mention, i'm you know, I'm sure I'm missing a few. But um again, just the that the talent that comes out of that place. And again, play most similar to them. So I don't think it would be that hard of an adjustment for me to play with them.

Sully Shaheed: And then Texas-wise, like I said, they play um a more more fit to my game. you know what I'm saying? Well-rounded, uh, big boys on defense. Um, and they shoot from their forehead, just like me.
Sully Shaheed: So, uh, it works. It fits. So, uh, yeah, I would love to play with the Texas guys. I proposed it last year, you know, even though he's not coming this year, but I would play on any team with Chris Flores any day of the damn week.
