Player Praise and Draft Projections

00:21:56
Ninja
Yeah, I think that's a great pick. The problem is, I like Awane there a little bit more to slide in the guard. i think, to be honest, i think I'm going to slide Awane up this board quite a bit. I think he's the best guard we've had since Quentin Nelson.
00:22:12
Lord Hinkie
Whoa. I see it.
00:22:13
Ninja
Maybe that's high praise, but
00:22:16
Lord Hinkie
Melo Pinsley bias in there.
00:22:18
Ninja
a little bit of bias. But Fano's a fine pick.
00:22:26
Ninja
And it lets me do everything I want to do with the Bucks at 15, which I appreciate you for. I have them taking Kenyon Sadiq at 15.
00:22:32
Lord Hinkie
Yeah. Yeah.
00:22:34
Ninja
They need a tight end. You get the best one on the board. I don't know where there's many qualms here. Of course, you need linebacker. But guess what? This class is so deep at linebacker. You can get that in the second and third round.
00:22:47
Ninja
You get the best athlete off the board. As of now, I have no qualms with this pick.
00:22:54
Lord Hinkie
I got no qualms at all. Obviously, the Bucs brought back Cade Otten this offseason, but I don't think he's stopping me from taking. i don't know if I would consider Kenyon Sadiq in this offense is obviously going to play tight end, but he might play a lot of slot wide receiver for them. He's going play a lot of like gadget end around stuff. like He's going to be more of an offensive weapon, which I love for him in in any offense, and especially fantasy-wise. But I think that's very nice. Get a your Baker Mayfield another toy to play with.
00:23:27
Ninja
So if the question is, if Sadiq goes 15 to the Bucs, where are you drafting him in your fantasy draft, in your rookie drafts?
00:23:35
Lord Hinkie
In our tight end premium leagues?
00:23:37
Ninja
As high as 1.4?
00:23:40
Lord Hinkie
Yeah. For sure, because in in this draft, it's obviously Love. I would probably take Lemon before him. I would have the conversation about Tate. I would have the conversation about Mendoza and maybe even Jordan Tyson, depending on where he goes in this draft. But I i think he's I've never heard from the 1-4 to the 1-6, kind of in that middle round.
00:24:02
Ninja
I agree.
00:24:04
Lord Hinkie
I don't think it's a slam dunk Kenyon Sadiq landing spot, but I think it's a good one. Ain't nothing wrong with good.

Offensive Line Reinforcements

00:24:11
Lord Hinkie
And speaking of, I'm up here with the Jets at 16, I got to kind of talk it out a little bit here.
00:24:20
Lord Hinkie
For all you listeners listening to the podcast going, did Francis Malinoa go yet? Like the tackle out of Miami? No, he did not go. He is still on the board. This is definitely the latest I've seen him fall in a mock draft, but this always happens to us.
00:24:33
Lord Hinkie
Every single draft we do, somebody falls for some reason. Jeremiah Love fell to 12 in one of our mocks. Caleb Downs fell to 12 in one of our mocks. Francis Maunoah has now fallen probably past 16 because I don't think I'm taking him here for the Jets. They have two very good tackles, very good young tackles. They need a guard. I don't think Francis Maunoah...
00:24:56
Lord Hinkie
I think he's a tackle. I don't, I obviously, I think he can learn how to play guard, but I'm not going to draft the tackle, hoping he can play guard. I'm just going to draft the best guard in this class. And with that being said, I'm taking Vago. I want a guard out of Penn state and I'm making this jets offensive line young and incredibly talented. Give me Oluf fashion. Oh, or Fashanu.
00:25:18
Lord Hinkie
the first round pick they took, I think last year, and Armand Membu, right tackle out of Missouri. Now pair that with Iowane, and I think they have that Tippman guy with the mean mullet. This Jets offensive line is very, very good, and if this pick happens, I like Brees Hall pretty pretty highly in redraft leagues. But yeah, Iowane guard Penn State goes to the Jets, and now that off offensive line is nasty.
00:25:47
Ninja
Yeah, if this is the pick that were to come through, this is gross.
00:25:52
Lord Hinkie
Nasty.
00:25:52
Ninja
This is just gross.
00:26:10
Ninja
Breeze Hall, you're right, is a buy if this were to happen.
00:26:13
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:26:14
Ninja
And I don't like Brees Hall. I would buy Brees Hall.
00:26:16
Lord Hinkie
Me neither. I've been a very... avid Brace Hall hater.
00:26:22
Ninja
So... Junior brought up... Where is the Maui Noah fall going to end? It's not here at 17.
00:26:32
Ninja
They've been trying to fix a need... And it still hasn't seemed to be fixed... With all the off the field issues... All the injuries... I'm taking Jermon McCoy...
00:26:45
Ninja
Terion Arnold has a bunch of off-the-field issues. and it's It's just not a good position. Everyone in that secondary seems to be injured all the time, especially at corner. They're dealing with so many injuries, so many off-the-field issues, where you take the best one in the draft, and I know he's injured, but you hope that he can be at least one day your staple.
00:27:10
Ninja
Your staple CB1.
00:27:14
Ninja
And I know its when they need offensive line, maybe you can differ, but you've missed three times. Terry on Arnold two years ago, and it's Ray Straw two years ago.
00:27:29
Ninja
you just missed so far. You need to hit on one of these corner positions because that's where you've been lacking for the past three years. You need to hit on the best one. Even if he's injured, take the chance.
00:27:42
Ninja
Because you need to fix this position because it's not going to get better with the cap situation. Junior?
00:27:48
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, i I don't hate this pick. i don't i don't It wouldn't have been a pick I would have made because i think you make a lot of good points. Obviously, this Detroit secondary is incredibly injured and not on the field, but you draft an injured corner to patch it up. like That kind of...
00:28:05
Lord Hinkie
That confused me a little bit.
00:28:06
Ninja
It's
00:28:07
Lord Hinkie
You're kind of adding to adding fuel to the fire almost. I see your thought process. Like, I'm going to draft a very talented corner to a bad corner class. But i I think for their specific case, I think it makes it a little...
00:28:20
Lord Hinkie
i i don't i think Detroit Lions fans would hate this pick.
00:28:25
Ninja
it's

Wide Receiver and Secondary Enhancements

00:28:25
Ninja
It's a little caveat into the caveat well.
00:28:28
Lord Hinkie
Yes, I...
00:28:29
Ninja
Like, well, if this could happen. This is a if- If it could happen podcast. You know for the G church lines.
00:28:37
Lord Hinkie
it's a It's a very big if it And I'm i'm looking at the my Minnesota Vikings here And I am trying to find any possible way That I can draft Francis Maui Noah But they have Christian Derisaw And Brian O'Neal At tackle I don't think they have to draft a tackle I don't think they have to i i I think if we if we're going to pull... Let's go back to some realism here. Obviously, I think Francis Maunoah being here at 18 is kind of crazy. i'm not I don't disagree with many of the picks that we've made so far to get him here.
00:29:16
Lord Hinkie
I think a team below us right now, past 18, would have traded up long ago to draft a guy like Maunoah if we were doing trades in this mock draft. Like...
00:29:29
Lord Hinkie
There's a lot of tackle-needy teams in the 20s who I think if Maui Noah gets past a certain point, like they're going up to get him. But I kind of love this whole, like if he doesn't go three or like six, like where does Maui Noah fall to?
00:29:41
Ninja
So
00:29:42
Lord Hinkie
And it's a lot lower than you think it is, buddy. Because I'm looking at the Minnesota Vikings here, and I think I'm going to make a little bit of a spicy pick. I think a lot of people automatically put in a safety here and just call it a day with Dienemann or McNeil-Warren.
00:29:59
Lord Hinkie
They obviously need a center, but you're not gonna draft him here. Edge is okay. There's a really talented wide receiver available, and you've had a lot of question marks about a Jordan Addison character not really staying on the field when you need him to, off the field stuff, and injuries.
00:30:16
Lord Hinkie
Give me Jordan Tyson here to the Minnesota Vikings.
00:30:20
Lord Hinkie
I like it a lot. lot of question marks around Jordan Tyson nowadays because that hamstring is not fully healthy yet, and it's been a long time. No pro day from him, no combine from him. i think that is going to drop his stock a lot, but I think that drops it to 18 here for the Vikings. I think this is right around the range where a lot of teams going to go, hey, Jordan Tyson's really, really talented. We might take that risk on his injury and his hamstrings and keeping him on the field like I think the Vikings can easily draft wide receiver here.
00:30:50
Lord Hinkie
Jordan Addison doesn't stop me from drafting to Jordan Tyson. And him and Justin Jefferson paired together for the new quarterback that they draft in 27. Man, that team's going to be it's going to be fun to watch. If they can get a quarterback, I think both of these guys be awesome. But Jordan Tyson here, 18, I'm sorry, to the Minnesota Vikings. Thoughts?
00:31:11
Ninja
My thoughts is you robbed my pick.
00:31:14
Lord Hinkie
Snagged it.
00:31:15
Ninja
Absolutely snagged it. I love this landing spot, especially with the Vikings, where you don't have to be the number one right away.
00:31:22
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:31:23
Ninja
You can work off of Justin Jefferson.
00:31:23
Lord Hinkie
And him learning, learning from Dustin Jefferson too.
00:31:27
Ninja
If Justin, if my mistake, if Jordan Tyson goes here at number 18, Jordan Tyson is immediately my 103 in this draft.
00:31:38
Ninja
Without a question, maybe I move him up higher.
00:31:40
Lord Hinkie
Ooh.
00:31:42
Ninja
I don't think there's any doubt where I can put him past, especially where I love them in wide receiver evals,
00:31:49
Ninja
which I love them.
00:31:50
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:31:50
Ninja
It's no number number one, be Jeremiah Love, then fra Francisco Mendoza, and then it's who's next. I think I'd like the Jordan Tyson spot to Minnesota more than I like the Cardinal Tate spot.
00:32:04
Ninja
You know what i mean? like it's It's all about spots at the end of the day, and I think I like Jordan Tyson's the best. But for the Panthers, you absolutely mossed me.
00:32:14
Ninja
You absolutely sabotaged me with this spot. I was willing to go Jordan Tyson here very adamantly. And guess what, guys? It's still not Francis Maui Noah.
00:32:30
Ninja
I'm taking Emile McNeil Warren here. and I know it's not necessari necessarily a need. It's just a back-end guy.
00:32:40
Ninja
But this guy is special. Size, speed, all of that. After Kenyon Sadika tight end, who knows? After, you know, there's a fall at wide receiver after Jordan Tyson.
00:32:55
Ninja
like There's not guys I'm comfortable drafting in the first round. As much as I love guys, there's not guys I'm comfortable drafting in the first round. And obviously, I'm not drafting a center in the first round.
00:33:07
Ninja
And deep defensive material, you guys, I'll get them later in the draft. I want an athlete. I want a stud at my first overall pick, and he can provide that. He's this year's Nick Emanwari.
00:33:21
Ninja
This guy has all the potential to be special, and I want you to try and tell me that he's not.
00:33:28
Lord Hinkie
It's not going to be me because I love this kid. i As of right now, for record, it's March 24th. We're about a month away from the NFL draft. Emmanuel McNeil-Warren is my favorite pick for the Eagles at 23.
00:33:43
Lord Hinkie
I would have loved for him to be there at 23. Obviously, he is not. but I think he's a great player. Hard-hitting, big, flashy, always seems to be around the ball.
00:33:56
Ninja
Okay.
00:33:57
Ninja
Okay.
00:34:05
Lord Hinkie
I love the kid. I think he's awesome, and he's going to do very well there on the Panthers' defense. I'm at 20 here.

Strengthening Defense and Offensive Lines

00:34:13
Lord Hinkie
And I'm back up with the Dallas Cowboys. And the fall has stopped. I am going to take Francis Malinoa here at 20 for the Dallas Cowboys. i I think he can play left tackle.
00:34:26
Lord Hinkie
They have Tyler Smith ruled in right now as their left tackle, which I think he's a guard. And I also don't think he's very good.
00:34:34
Ninja
For the
00:34:35
Lord Hinkie
Terrence Steele was the right tackle as of now.
00:34:38
Ninja
whole life.
00:34:39
Lord Hinkie
also don't love the guy don't hate him but i think you can take uh francis marinoa here and then just figure it out like high level talent like probably a top top 15 talent in this class total and obviously i think you know top three tackle uh talent in this class You take him here at 20 because he's not supposed to be here, and then you figure it out later. He's just too talented to be here at 20. So Malanoa finally falls off the board to the Dallas Cowboys at 20. I even thought about it taking him at 12.
00:35:13
Ninja
Yeah, I kind of hate it because you robbed my pick again. I was going to take him at 21 to Pittsburgh, and I thought it was a seamless fit there, especially with C.J. Allen on the board. I'm surprised you didn't go C.J. Allen for the Dallas Cowboys because C.J. Allen is a great, great player. This is just supposed to be in a really gross spot with the Steelers at 21.
00:35:32
Ninja
It's what can you do. Is the question, do I question quarterback here? Yes. I think they could do it. Should they do it? No, because it's not worth it.
00:35:51
Lord Hinkie
No. Mm.
00:35:53
Ninja
And then it comes offensive line. What are we looking at? It's not really anything great. But one person I've been seeing pop up the boards like no other is Caden Proctor.
00:36:08
Ninja
I have Caden Proctor going here at 21.
00:36:09
Lord Hinkie
you
00:36:10
Ninja
NFL size, speed. nfl size nfl speed I don't really i don't have any negatives to say about the guy. I really don't. It's just this is the best offensive lineman. And for some reason in this draft, NFL offensive linemen have been falling in this draft.
00:36:30
Ninja
So pick him up late. Scoop him up. Why not?
00:36:35
Lord Hinkie
I don't hate it. I don't hate it at all. I like Caden Proctor. I think he didn't have the best tape at Alabama in their last season, 2025.
00:36:45
Lord Hinkie
I think he does have a lot to work on. I think he's pretty raw as a left tackle talent. But if you want if you want to build a left tackle in a lab, it's Caden Proctor.
00:36:51
Ninja
Okay.
00:37:06
Lord Hinkie
I don't think Project Drones is stopping me at all from taking tackle. And I'm up here with the l L.A. Chargers at 22. And this is a tough one.
00:37:19
Lord Hinkie
It's very tough. I think they probably would have liked taking Proctor. They need definitely more of a guard than a tackle situation. Safety, obviously all the safeties are off the board.
00:37:29
Ninja
I don't what Dan's going to do.
00:37:30
Lord Hinkie
i don't hate drafting a wide receiver here for them, but I don't think it's top of priority here if I'm the Chargers.
00:37:37
Lord Hinkie
lot of options, a lot of options. I think I'm going to take Caleb Banks' defensive interior D-tackle out of Florida. Some injury concerns with Caleb Banks. I believe, if my reports and my memory are correct, he injured his ankle right after the combine.
00:37:57
Lord Hinkie
Blew up the combine. it Was huge, massive, and he was fast. Looked really good in the drills. And then shortly after in a workout, I think tweaked his ankle. So he probably will drop back down boards.
00:38:08
Lord Hinkie
But him being here at 22, the Chargers need anybody on the interior there at the defensive line. They couldn't stop the run at all last year. So give me a big body, Caleb Banks. I'm buying the dip with the injury concerns. And I'm happy about it because I think he's very talented. He just needs a little bit of development. And he needs to be able to stay on the field.
00:38:29
Lord Hinkie
That's a big question.
00:38:30
Ninja
That's the big question. And that's the big question with the next guy have in this draft. Because it's not going to be where you want me to go. Especially for Bears. in mind, this is a Bears pick at 23. I have them taking Emmanuel Pregnant. Pregnant. At 23. The problem is, is there a tackle in this range I like? The answer is no.
00:38:55
Ninja
That's fine. I'm fine with all the crickets. This is going to be a boring pick, but expect the Eagles, you know, after this point to trade a j Brown at some point for pick 30 where they can get more exciting with this pick.
00:39:10
Ninja
But the edges I'm looking at in this range is not great. The tackles I'm looking at in this range are not great. Let me show up a guard spot where I think as a whole
00:39:23
Ninja
come actual play time. Like, uh, who was right guard for the Eagles last year? Gary.
00:39:31
Lord Hinkie
Tyler Steen.
00:39:33
Ninja
Was he very good?
00:39:36
Lord Hinkie
No, he's actually pretty bad.
00:39:38
Ninja
Is Emmanuel Pregnano better?
00:39:41
Lord Hinkie
Yes.
00:39:42
Ninja
You fix a need where you have a need. It's not flashy. It's not what we want as a Birds fan, but you plug a hole. And that's what you need to do The boat is stemming. The boat is bleeding bad.
00:39:56
Ninja
With talent left and talent acquired... You need to hit on one of these spots. Because guess what? Lane Johnson isn't going to be there forever. But there's not a tackle worth taking at this spot, in my opinion. You can get that in the second round. You plug the most stemming hole in this whole team for me, which is guard.
00:40:19
Ninja
And you get the best one on the board.
00:40:24
Lord Hinkie
I hate it
00:40:24
Ninja
Fair.
00:40:26
Lord Hinkie
I hate it.
00:40:26
Ninja
Fair, though. It's fair.
00:40:28
Lord Hinkie
Oh, I hate it. It's a very Eagles pick, but i maybe it's not. i I don't like it. There are so many better players on the board of equal positions of need that I would have been very happy with.
00:40:41
Lord Hinkie
Any of the addressers, Falk, TJ Parker, down the board even, don't.
00:40:45
Ninja
and I don't think...
00:40:47
Lord Hinkie
I would have liked them a lot more. Avion Terrell I would have even liked. Obviously, I think a safety is here is priority one, and none of them fell to us.
00:40:54
Ninja
It was... It was between Avion, Terrell, Emmanuel Pagnon, and CJ Allen.
00:40:59
Ninja
It was so tough.
00:41:01
Lord Hinkie
that's
00:41:01
Ninja
And...
00:41:01
Lord Hinkie
yeah Blake Miller, I actually like a tackle out of Clemson. He's a typical right tackle, too. He would have been a perfect backup for Lane Johnson for next year.
00:41:10
Ninja
I thought about it. I thought about it.
00:41:13
Ninja
Really did.
00:41:14
Lord Hinkie
hate it but it's fine.
00:41:15
Ninja
Yeah.
00:41:15
Lord Hinkie
It's not my draft.
00:41:15
Ninja
yes
00:41:17
Ninja
You can get him in the second round, though. You can get him the second round.
00:41:20
Lord Hinkie
blake miller no way but
00:41:22
Ninja
You can trade it up for him. We got, like, four comp picks.
00:41:26
Lord Hinkie
I'm up here at 24 with the Cleveland Browns. And like we said earlier, the conversation is what tackles are going to be left for us here at 24 after we take Carnal Tate.
00:41:40
Lord Hinkie
You kind of need a left tackle, which kind of stinks because I do think Blake Miller is very good. But he plays right tackle. He played a little a few snaps of left tackle in 2024. But as a three-year starter Clemson, he's played right tackle.
00:41:55
Lord Hinkie
I'm not saying you can't teach him how to play left, but you've got it you gotta to learn you to teach the guy how to play left tackle. I'm looking at the board again. Max Iannachor, tackle out of Arizona State, who I like.
00:42:06
Lord Hinkie
He plays right tackle. Three-year starter at right tackle. Nowhere else. Even down the board even for further. And this kind of where I kind of fall. I would love to trade back here if I could.
00:42:18
Lord Hinkie
Because I don't necessarily think this player is worth the 24th overall i'll pick. I think he's more of a fringe first kind of guy. But he's the best left tackle available. And that's what I need.
00:42:30
Lord Hinkie
I'm going to take Caleb Lomu, tackle out of Utah. Down the board a little bit. Maybe not the highest level player we could have drafted there. Definitely not the best tackle left over. I like Blake Miller a lot more.
00:42:42
Lord Hinkie
But he plays left tackle. I think he can get a lot stronger, which I think in an NFL coach, NFL strength coach, will be able to do for him. But...
00:42:53
Lord Hinkie
He passed blocks very well, and that is what we need here as a left tackle. I think he can develop as a run blocker a little bit, and I think the other pieces that the Browns brought in to kind of patch up their offensive line in Zion Johnson, in Elton Jenkins, and obviously signing Titus Howard, I think they've patched up a decent amount of holes, but he still needs a left tackle, so give me the best one on the board right now.
00:43:18
Lord Hinkie
Caleb Lomu, 24 to the Browns. This like this this middle... 20s such a weird spot to mock in drafts.
00:43:29
Ninja
And this is such a weird spot with the Browns going early with, uh, Cornell Tate. It's so weird to project where they're going to go. i think it's going to be offensive line. It's just whether they go with that route, who knows? but I think this is a good pick, but going into the bears at 25, I'm not going to think much about

Defensive Focus and Future Planning

00:43:48
Ninja
it. I'm going Canada McDonald at Ohio state, the defensive interior guy.
00:43:54
Ninja
He fills up such a big, massive hole, They have a massive...
00:43:58
Lord Hinkie
Masterful. Crater.
00:44:01
Ninja
They were awful against the run.
00:44:02
Lord Hinkie
Crater.
00:44:03
Ninja
And they need a defensive interior guy to try and stuff that run. He does that for them.
00:44:12
Ninja
And although i think he shouldn't be a first-round guy, he fits so seamlessly with this Bears offense or Bears defense that... I'm letting better guys fall off the board, hoping that, you know, can snipe a little bit of a snag in the second round. But I don't have any qualms here with Ken McDonald going 25 overall to the the bears
00:44:38
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, I i like it a lot. Their run defense needed to get a lot better, and McDonald does that. Like, that is his calling card as a big nose tackle, defensive tackle, as he stops to run. So I think that's a good pick. You fill a position of need, and, you know, you do that again in the second round and see what happens.
00:44:58
Lord Hinkie
I am back up here with sorry, I just picked it the Buffalo Bills at 26.
00:45:06
Lord Hinkie
Obviously, we brought in DJ Moore, so I'm not looking wide receiver here. I'm probably looking wide receiver later on in the draft, not in the first round. My defense sucks. No one knows how to tackle.
00:45:18
Lord Hinkie
We lost Tremaine Edmonds throughout the offseason. I'm going to take CJ Allen, linebacker out of Georgia. Kind of best player available, but also a player of need here. The Bills need to patch up this defense pretty bad, especially their secondary and their linebacker core. So give me C.J. Allen here, linebacker out of Georgia.
00:45:37
Lord Hinkie
Pretty easy pick.
00:45:39
Ninja
Yep, pretty easy pick indeed. And I'm going to go in a way where maybe the board hasn't gone, but I'm to take the best player out of position of what I think is a need. I'm to take Max Iannachor tackle
00:45:55
Lord Hinkie
Ooh, okay.
00:45:57
Ninja
for the 49ers. You need a tackle replacement for Trent Williams. As much as everything else on your team could use a little bit of an upgrade, There's still no one waiting in the wing here. And it's the same problem I have with the Eagles. But they're a little bit farther along in their development with some guys. it's The 49ers haven't had anybody in place to try and fill that void when it happens.
00:46:26
Ninja
The Eagles at least you know took steps to do such things. It's not what I wanted to do, but it feels like what I had to do here for the 49ers at 27th.
00:46:37
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, i I like it. I love them being able to grab Ian Ator, who has a lot of good traits, great size, good mobility. He's just a little bit of raw as a prospect, definitely needs to develop. And what better scenario to develop than backing up Trent Williams?
00:46:53
Lord Hinkie
like there's It doesn't get much better than that for a first-round pick coming into the coming in the NFL. So I think that is a great pick, great landing spot for him, and a great pick for the 49ers as well.
00:47:07
Lord Hinkie
I am up here with the Houston Texans, and I think I'm going to make a fun little pick here.
00:47:08
Ninja
God.
00:47:13
Lord Hinkie
this guy's kind of fallen down the board, cause he didn't, didn't have a great 2025, didn't perform at the combine kind of came in in a little undersized, but he's a high level of talent when he's playing,
00:47:25
Lord Hinkie
I'm going to take Peter Woods, defensive interior for from Clemson, for the Houston Texans. i I think they can kind of make this defensive line scary if they want to. Obviously, you have one Will Anderson and Daniel Hunter, but you need someone in that interior just to take up space, even take on two blockers just to single up the guys on the edge. If you throw Peter Woods into this defensive line, I think it can be very, very scary.
00:47:59
Lord Hinkie
And if your off offensive line stinks and you can't score any points, Mozzie stopped the other team and just sack them the entire time.
00:48:05
Ninja
God bless.
00:48:16
Lord Hinkie
So i'm looking I'm looking to make a strength of strength, and I'm going to look at offensive line later on the draft.
00:48:16
Ninja
Tough.
00:48:22
Lord Hinkie
So Peter Woods here to the Houston Texans at 28. Spooky. spooky
00:48:27
Ninja
To be honest, it's the best pick they could have made. And it's scary to see that with all the offensive line needs they have. Peter Woods, I've been hearing, is a first-round guy.
00:48:38
Ninja
So, kind of sucks we got him here so late, but I've been hearing he's a first-round guy.
00:48:39
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, late first, but yeah.
00:48:44
Ninja
Speaking of guys who, you know, maybe should or should not be in the first round,

Wide Receiver Additions and Secondary Improvements

00:48:48
Ninja
uh... Believe it or not, ladies gents, I'm taking a my guy. Give me Denzel Boston here, the Kansas City Chiefs. They need a wide receiver.
00:48:57
Ninja
They tucked into bed their need early in the draft with Mansoor Delane. They got a secondary guy. This is a guy to fill the void that we thought Rasheed Rice was going to fill, that we thought Xavier Worthy was going to fill.
00:49:10
Ninja
They just haven't done that. Let's get a real man in the room to absolutely do that for them. And that's my guy, Denzel Boston. Any thoughts there?
00:49:21
Lord Hinkie
i I love that pick. I think that's really fun. I think he's the perfect combination. Well, I guess I shouldn't say combination, but I think he fits all the holes that the other Kansas City wide receivers don't fill.
00:49:34
Ninja
Yes.
00:49:35
Lord Hinkie
He is perfect because they have Xavier Worthy as like a speed gadget guy.
00:49:35
Ninja
Yes.
00:49:40
Lord Hinkie
They have Rasheed Rice for those slow short and intermediate routes. And now they have Denzel Boston as a typical ex-wide receiver making plays down the field and doing what he does best, catching touchdowns in the red zone. I think they have the perfect trio of wide receivers here. And are the Chiefs back?
00:50:01
Ninja
If this happens in the actual NFL draft, I'm drafting Denzel Boston as high as the 1.5.
00:50:08
Lord Hinkie
I mean, think about this offense for a second. Obviously, they have Mahomes. If Mahomes is Mahomesan, he's very good. But they brought in Kenneth Walker, Rasheed Rice, if he stays on the field, Xavier Worthy, Travis Kelsey's back, and now you add Denzel Boston to the mix?
00:50:22
Ninja
It's gross.
00:50:24
Lord Hinkie
It's nasty. You need a couple spots in the offensive line. But this team is awesome. And Justin Fields, just there.
00:50:32
Ninja
Cuz, why not?
00:50:33
Lord Hinkie
Cuz? Yeah? Because I have nothing else to talk about? But, yeah, I'm up here with the Miami Dolphins' second first-round pick. We took Monroe Freeling at 11, tackle out of Georgia.
00:50:47
Lord Hinkie
Now I'm up here at 30, and I'm looking just to draft a good player. This team stinks. We really don't have holes we can't fill. I'm not looking quarterback because we drafted or, just sorry, we signed Malik Willis.
00:50:58
Ninja
I wish I was walking through this.
00:51:00
Lord Hinkie
Obviously, we're not looking running back, but other than that, I'm kind of looking anywhere else. Best player available for me.
00:51:08
Lord Hinkie
do I double down on tackles? Go Blake Miller. no I love Avion Terrell. I think he's an incredible player.
00:51:17
Lord Hinkie
Keldrick Folk is fun because obviously they need edge rusher and he is so young. I believe he's only 20 years. Yeah, he's 20 years old and he will be draft time.
00:51:28
Lord Hinkie
So you can develop him long term.
00:51:31
Lord Hinkie
I think I'm going to go Avion Terrell. This secondary obviously stinks. I think they could easily take a cornerback at 11. I think the only reason they didn't is because they're full-on tanking and they need to just draft good players, but this secondary is very, very bad. Give me Avion Terrell to be a cornerstone in that cornerback of room for a long time, mostly because no one else is good.
00:51:53
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:51:53
Ninja
I love it. I really love it. And I have a caveat. With my pick 31 with the Patriots, am I allowed to trade?
00:51:57
Lord Hinkie
Oh, Caviar. Caviar.
00:52:03
Lord Hinkie
I don't think they're trading for AJ Brown.
00:52:06
Ninja
That's not where I was going, but okay.
00:52:08
Lord Hinkie
Oh, what would you like to do?
00:52:09
Ninja
So I'm free to take.
00:52:10
Lord Hinkie
Throw, sell me this pen.
00:52:14
Ninja
So the problem is with the Patriots, right? They have no offensive line. They need offensive line. They go get themselves a tackle for the future and they kick Campbell into guard. I don't know where they're getting the tackle from.
00:52:27
Ninja
It's going to be a team. I don't know.
00:52:31
Lord Hinkie
Well, why not just draft Blake Miller then?
00:52:35
Ninja
My problem is I want to draft a receiver.
00:52:42
Ninja
And I'm going to do that anyway whether I get a trade or not.
00:52:46
Lord Hinkie
So in your hypothetical brain, the Patriots brought in a left tackle and they don't have a tackle need.
00:52:47
Ninja
But I would love
00:52:52
Ninja
Correct. that they're They're trying to fix that need, and they need a tackle.
00:52:53
Lord Hinkie
Okay.
00:52:58
Ninja
They bring it up some sort of way, somehow, some way.
00:52:58
Lord Hinkie
I will allow it.
00:53:02
Ninja
Or they, you know, get a wide receiver and they can go Blake Miller with this pick, whatever. But that's not fun. You know what mean?
00:53:08
Lord Hinkie
No.
00:53:09
Ninja
I'm trying to go fun. Give me Casey Concepcion.
00:53:12
Lord Hinkie
Love it.
00:53:14
Ninja
To the Patriots here. I love everything about this kid. A little bit of my guy. i love this guy for three years. He's special. I think he brings something to the wide receiver room that they have been missing.
00:53:27
Ninja
Creativity. And I think everyone can benefit from that. Whether it's Romeo Dobbs or Keyshawn Boutte. They need a little bit of a Casey Concepcion in their lives to make everything easier.
00:53:40
Ninja
But you...
00:53:41
Lord Hinkie
Don't we all?
00:53:42
Ninja
God bless. But with you, with the maybe the hardest pick of the draft, because who knows where they could go? Because do they really have a need? The Seattle Seahawks at 32.
00:53:52
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, it's kind of a tough one. I'm kind of looking at where they lost players throughout free agency, and it was corner and it was edge Those were kind of our biggest missed spots. Obviously, I think they need a running back with Kenneth Walker leaving. But you have Charbonnet there. You got a little bit of that George Helani kid as a backup running back. But I'm probably drafting a running back in rounds three to five. So I'm not looking at a first round running back here.
00:54:21
Lord Hinkie
I'm probably drafting edge or corner. I don't love the corners that available right now. And there's one Ed Drescher that's just sticking out to me like a sore thumb. And to be honest, he looks and feels very Seattle.
00:54:35
Lord Hinkie
I am going to take Keldrick Folk here at 32 to finish off this first round mock. I like the kid a lot. He is 20, 20 years old, 260, I believe. Perfect frame for an edge rusher. Plays the run incredibly well.
00:54:51
Lord Hinkie
Very athletic. His only thing is he doesn't rush the passer very well, but you can develop that because he's only 20 years old. So give me I'm sorry, completely just blanked on his name. Keldrick Folk here at 32.
00:55:05
Lord Hinkie
Ed Rusher at Auburn.
00:55:07
Ninja
Yeah, I have no faults there. It's exactly what I would have done with them at this pick. I think what they need is edge, and they kind of lost that in the in free agency. But to kind of round out what we did, sure, I'll go through all of it just to please you guys. At one, we have Fernando Mendoza, two, Arville Reese, David Bailey at three,
00:55:30
Ninja
Jeremiah Love at 4.

Draft Recap and Fantasy Impact

00:55:31
Ninja
Caleb Downs at 5. Cornell Tate at 6. Ruben Bain Jr. fell to 7. Sonny Stiles fell all the way to 8 somehow, someway. Mansoor Delane at 9.
00:55:42
Ninja
Dylan Thienemann finally is in the top 10, as he should be. Monroe Freeling at number 11. Akeem Mesidor at the highest we ever had him going at number 12 to the Cowboys. Makai, 11, 13 to the Rams. Spencer Fow now goes number 14 to the Ravens. Kenyon Sadiq, number 15.
00:56:02
Ninja
Big O, big Iowanee, goes number 16 to really make the Jets' offensive line the best in the league. And then Jermon McCoy goes 17 to the Lions, trying to fix a knee that they thought they fixed, but they haven't. 18 to the Vikings is Jordan Tyson, which is probably my funnest pick of this and try entire draft, just how they would play together, Jets and Jordan Tyson. 19, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. 20, Francis Malinoa. 21, Kane Broctor. 22, Caleb Banks. At 23, the Birds going to Manuel Pregnon. 24, Caleb Lomu. 25, Caden McDonald.
00:56:45
Ninja
26, CJ Allen. 27, Max Iannachor. 28 is Peter Woods. 29 is Denzel Boston. 30 is Avion Terrell. 31 is Casey Concepcion. And 32, we have a rounding off with Kendrick Falk.
00:57:03
Ninja
This was very fun, Junior.
00:57:05
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:57:05
Ninja
oh We need to do this more. I don't even care if we record it. We just need to do this more.
00:57:10
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:57:11
Ninja
But is there any final remarks? Any final words of wisdom you'd like to give to the people out there in the world?
00:57:19
Lord Hinkie
No, I do want to kind of throw out a little hypothetical scenario. Obviously, we were talking about fantasy football, like kind of landing spots and where we would take guys in rookie drafts. I'm going to ask you, and I'm kind of going to preface it for the crowd.
00:57:31
Ninja
from dad. You are the team our sessions.
00:57:33
Lord Hinkie
I'm looking at these wide receivers, and five of them went in the first round if I do if i counted correctly.
00:57:36
Ninja
You are the team of our sessions. You are the team of our sessions right now.
00:57:40
Lord Hinkie
Out of all five of them, I kind of want to see where they rank for you in just your straight-up wide receiver rankings.
00:57:43
Ninja
I want to hear you. want to hear you.
00:57:46
Lord Hinkie
No other position to take in accountability.
00:57:47
Ninja
want to hear you. I want to hear you.
00:57:49
Lord Hinkie
Just fantasy football.
00:57:50
Ninja
I want to hear you.
00:57:50
Lord Hinkie
Do we like this landing spot? Cardinal Tate went to the Cleveland Browns. My Kyle Lemon went to the L.A. Rams. We got Jordan Tyson, who's a Minnesota Viking.
00:58:02
Lord Hinkie
We have Denzel Boston going to the Chiefs. And then we have Casey Concepcion to the Patriots. So out of those five wide receivers, just give me a quick ranking of where you would throw them after all of these landing spots in your fantasy rankings.
00:58:19
Ninja
it's tough I feel like I gave a lot of these landing spots out, so it's very tough. You know what? I'll do you the favor. Give me Mikhail Lemon at my first one if he goes to the Rams.
00:58:30
Lord Hinkie
It's the right answer. It's the right answer.
00:58:32
Ninja
Give me Dental Boston 2 to the Chiefs. I think that's electric.
00:58:35
Lord Hinkie
I knew you were going to do it. Yeah.
00:58:38
Ninja
And then give me Jordan Tyson 3 to the Vikings.
00:58:42
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:58:42
Ninja
That's also an electric landing spot. And then 4, give me Carnell Tate because he's just good at football. Who cares? And then 5 would be KC Concepcion.
00:58:49
Lord Hinkie
Yeah. yeah Isn't that nuts that we both had Cardinal Tate as our wide receiver ones before we did a mock draft, and now that he went to the Browns, which is a very, very, very high chance he goes to the Browns at six. He falls all the way to four after all the other landing spots.
00:59:09
Ninja
It's just like like we we said this in our podcast. it's It's landing spots are so dependent with these wide receivers because they like this year it's tier.
00:59:16
Lord Hinkie
Yeah. And they're also close as well.
00:59:17
Ninja
It's it's a tear it's
00:59:19
Lord Hinkie
Talent-wise, they're very close.
00:59:21
Ninja
it's It's a tier. It's not necessarily like one-on-one rankings. its We have all these guys in a tier. So where the NFL takes them is going to influence where we take them very greatly.
00:59:33
Ninja
Because I have Jordan Taysen and Cardinal Tate. They have the same grade for me. So whoever goes earlier, guess what?
00:59:37
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
00:59:39
Ninja
I'm probably going to draft earlier. It's just where they fall.
00:59:43
Lord Hinkie
Or whoever goes to a team that I like or offense that I like.
00:59:46
Ninja
Yeah.
00:59:46
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, I like it a lot. i i For my rankings, i would agree. I think Lemon to the Rams is beautiful. going to take him one. My number two would probably be Jordan Tyson to the Vikings. I love that landing spot a lot.
00:59:57
Lord Hinkie
Three for me would probably be Carnell Tate. I would take Denzel Boston four and then Casey Concepcion five. I think the Patriots landing spot is sneaky bad for a wide receiver in the first round. Not because I hate Drake May.
01:00:09
Lord Hinkie
but because they brought in Romeo Dobbs. They have Keishon Boutte. They drafted Kyle Williams last year. They spread the ball around a lot there in New England, and they have run the ball a lot with Trayvon Henderson and Ramondre Stevenson. So I don't know. If I'm a wide receiver, I don't want to go to the Patriots at 31.
01:00:26
Ninja
The problem is is that you didn't even mention Denzel Boston and go into the Chiefs.
01:00:31
Ninja
Just a a sneaky little ad there.
01:00:32
Lord Hinkie
Well, I said it I have him at four. have him at four.
01:00:35
Ninja
it's too low. i don't I don't know what you said, but it's too low. It wasn't one or two, and that's a shame.
01:00:38
Lord Hinkie
Tate.
01:00:40
Lord Hinkie
I do love that landing spot, though. I do.
01:00:43
Ninja
it's It's the best landing spot possible for Denzel Boston.
01:00:46
Lord Hinkie
Yeah. But I also would argue there's a lot of mouths to feed there in Kansas City.
01:00:51
Ninja
I'd argue it's Xavier Worthy and who else?
01:00:55
Ninja
Rasheed Rice isn't anything. i You and me talked earlier this week, you can't even deny, we don't like the Travis Kelsey signing, so who else is there?
01:01:03
Lord Hinkie
No, I don't agree. But, I mean, he's going to get the ball. but When I say I don't like him, it's because I don't think he's good standalone in fantasy. But he's not like a he's going to get the ball.
01:01:16
Lord Hinkie
He's going to get three to five catches a game.
01:01:19
Ninja
It's okay. you you You can go on that stance now. We'll talk about it later this year.
01:01:24
Ninja
I'm kidding, buddy. Before we throw it out, is there anything you want to say to the people out there after this excellent mock draft we have concocted for the folks?
01:01:33
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, I mean, I think the mock draft is perfect. I don't see any team ever changing their pick from what we took for them today. I think it was fun. I do think it'd be interesting to do one of these with trades, kind of trying to predict trades, which i think is impossible, obviously, but it's fun to talk about. But no, I think this is really fun. This is kind of, i feel like every exercise we do, I talked about this earlier, but some talented player ends up falling for us, and I just don't know how it happens. Like Francis Manolo went 20 in this draft. Like it just doesn't really, that doesn't make sense. Like how did that happen? But then you look at the rest of the draft class, you're oh, I guess I can kind of see it.
01:02:10
Lord Hinkie
but yeah, this was fun. I love the unis with you. I could do mock drafts day in and day out. I, we talked about this before the podcast. I've been doing seven round Eagles mock drafts kind of whenever I feel like it in my own free time. And they always suck always. And I hate all of them, but it's going to go great.
01:02:31
Ninja
It's going to be great. And maybe to make us feel better about a mock draft, maybe we do trades with the one, the only Tegrity, if we can somehow find his way back onto the pod. If I can give it, if I'm comfortable giving enough of my salary away to that man, because that's what it's coming to.
01:02:40
Lord Hinkie
very
01:02:47
Ninja
It's how much of my salary can I give to this guy? And the answer is a lot of it. The problem is, do I want to? te Is he able? We'll find out. We'll try and get those guys back on for you. Special guests. Hopefully you guys listen to Joe Thomas Integrity because honestly guys they're expensive.
01:03:04
Lord Hinkie
very expensive
01:03:05
Ninja
It's so expensive to get those guys on the podcast. But as always be a gentleman out there in the world. You know if a lady is you know pushing a a grocery cart across the street just help her out. You know.
01:03:19
Ninja
She's probably got some valuable things in there. Just, you know, be a good person out there in the world. And if you see a guy somehow down in Tennessee and he looks stressed out beyond all means, just give him some encouraging words, you know, that that life is going to be okay, that everything happens for a reason, that life is life is going to be fantastic.
01:03:29
Lord Hinkie
Yep.
01:03:32
Lord Hinkie
Hand him a drink.
01:03:41
Lord Hinkie
That too.
01:03:43
Ninja
And that money doesn't matter because I know these guys are spending a lot of money. And by these guys, I mean, who knows who's down there in Tennessee.
01:03:51
Lord Hinkie
Who knows?
01:03:53
Ninja
But if you if there is a little bit of a hiatus from this podcast, just know we're down there with the homie. Even Zig somehow has made his way down to Tennessee to support a brother.
01:04:06
Ninja
Yeah.
01:04:07
Lord Hinkie
Yeah, speaking of exp expensive. Shoo.
01:04:09
Ninja
Speaking of is expensive, it's it's a lot to keep him on this podcast. God, his toll is expensive. But, you know, just be a friend out there in the world.
01:04:15
Lord Hinkie
Yeah.
01:04:17
Ninja
Tell someone something nice. I know I appreciate it, and I'm sure everyone else out there in the world would appreciate it too. And until the next one, it may be a little bit, so hang with us.
01:04:28
Ninja
Listen to that wide receiver podcast again, because it's a heater.
01:04:28
Lord Hinkie
Strap in.
01:04:30
Lord Hinkie
That was a good one.
01:04:34
Ninja
We love you guys. Peace.
