Lord Hinkie : Ladies and... And gentlemen. Man, it has been way too long since I've gotten to do that Welcome back to another episode of the ZNG Dynasty podcast, as always.
Lord Hinkie : I am joined by my partner in crime, my second wheel, if you will, and my right -hand man, Ninja. Go ahead and say hi to the people, big fella.

Lord Hinkie : But, yeah, we got a fun one for you guys today. It's been way too long. It really has. So I want to actually apologize to the listeners. I know there's a couple of them that have been, you know, a little disappointed. We haven't been putting out podcasts recently. But, you know, life gets in the way. and But now. With the season coming around, we're going to try and go back to weekly. We're also going to try and give you guys two podcasts this week just to you know kind of front load this preseason, get everybody updated for what happened and our thoughts on you know what's going on around the league.

Lord Hinkie : Our setup is going to be, we're doing a redraft mock draft. So for all you people who are in your redraft leagues and your home leagues and your work leagues and your family leagues and all the other leagues.
Lord Hinkie : And you're just throwing together a little quick redraft just to keep people engaged for this regular this NFL season.
Lord Hinkie : We're going to kind of give you guys our thought processes. picking from two different positions, so I'll pick a team and Ninja will pick a team. And we'll kind of give you guys a couple of different strategies, some players to target, some you know ideas about you know your league formats and stuff like that. But yeah, it should be a fun one today. I know i have a we have a redraft league actually drafting today, and I have another one who is starting tomorrow. so Stay tuned. This should be able to, you know, help some people who.
Lord Hinkie : Maybe not. yearly fantasy players or you know they just do those redraft uh yearly league setups but hopefully we can give you guys some help and give you some more ideas and thoughts to think about during your draft and strategies to get ahead of it. But Ninja, before we get into this, buddy.
Lord Hinkie : You got anything to say?
ninja: Let's get rolling, big fella.
Lord Hinkie : Let's get rolling. All right, let's be a podcast. 3, 2, 1. Well, I still remember how to do it that's crazy That's crazy. so Just to give you guys an update on what we're going to be doing for this mock and our setup So I will be picking from the three slot.
Lord Hinkie : Ninja will be picking from the 1 -9. So we're on two different aspects of the first round draft. and the you know subsequent rounds to follow. We're doing a 12 team.
Lord Hinkie : PPR 1QB setup. One flex position. I think we we made it five benches just to throw a couple names at as like backups for you guys. No kicker.
Lord Hinkie : as all leagues should be. And we are going to be drafting a defense. So starting lineup is one QB, two running max, two wide receivers, one tight end, one flex, and then a defense.
Lord Hinkie : I don't believe this league is not tight end premium, so it's just regular tight end settings. And yeah, so one QB, no super flex. 12 teams.
Lord Hinkie : PPR. I think I covered all of it there. but Yeah, as always or as I said earlier, I'm gonna be drafting from the 1 -3 we got ninja drafting from the 1 -9 And we're going to try and give you two guys two different strategies. so I guess we can kind of get the draft started here, Ninja. You ready to roll?
ninja: Ready?
Lord Hinkie : All right, so with the first pick... Every other pick in this draft is going to be just computer randomized. so 1 -1 was Jameer Gibbs who should probably be the 1 -1 in most leagues.
Lord Hinkie : B. John Robinson went 1 -2. He's a pretty obvious 1 -1 and 1 -2 there. So with the third pick, I am up. And obviously I would have loved for one of those two running backs to fall to me there. I think they're very obvious 1 -1 and 1 -2 picks either way. as you either in either which order you want to take them.
Lord Hinkie : But. I'm kind of staring at the opportunity to draft. the the first wide receiver off the board. so I'm staring at Jamar Chase. I'm staring at Puka Nakua. I'm even staring at JSN. who, as of right now, is the only healthy option of those three.
Lord Hinkie : Jamar Chase was dealing with ankle injury that was very scary, but looks like it's going to he's going to be okay. and probably ready for week one. Just hopefully that's not like a lingering ankle injury. And then Pukunuku has kind of been dealing with some, you know.
Lord Hinkie : growing issues over the last couple of weeks. So... i expect him I expect all three of them to be healthy week one and for most of the season. but You know, you got to take those question marks into.
Lord Hinkie : You have to take them into your thought process as you're making your pick. because I have the 1 -3 here. like I want to draft a a stud. I want to draft a star. And I want to draft a guy who's going to play the entire season. so
Lord Hinkie : It's tough. I think I'm going to go with Jamar Chase. strictly off the fact that If he is healthy and he plays 16, 17 games.
Lord Hinkie : He's the best wide receiver in the league. Joe Barrow is healthy this year. Their offense is still the same as it was last year, which is good because you want it to be. And I think if as long as he's healthy, even if there's a backup quarterback in in there, or even if he plays like 15, 14, 15 games, I think he can still finish as the. wide receiver one, he's going to give you those weeks where he catches like three touchdowns and he just he wins you a game in himself.
Lord Hinkie : So I'm going to draft Jamar Chase there. I'm going to go wide receiver to start, which is kind of usually what I eat. I don't like doing. I'm kind of more of a RB stable kind of guy. But maybe I will be able to give you guys the draft strategy of maybe going to zero RB and seeing what drafting some of the top wide receivers in the league looks like just to kind of give you guys an idea in this mock draft.
Lord Hinkie : So, yeah, I went Jamar Chase at 1 -3. Puka Nakua went 1 -4. CMC went at the 1 -5. Sun God Amaranth St. Brown went at the 1 -6.
Lord Hinkie : CeeDee Lamb went at the 1 -7, and JSN fell to the 1 -8, and now Ninja is up at the 1 -9 with a lot of running backs available.
ninja: this is a great spot to be. with all these wide receivers going, I don't think this is going to be how most of your leagues turn out. Because most people do like to grab RBs in the first round.
ninja: But luckily for me... Most of the top talent did fall. And it's... Pick your guy here at the top looking at options like Jonathan Taylor, James Cook.
ninja: Devon A. Chan, Saquon Barkley, Ashton Gentry. I like all those guys. And now which one? do I think is going to have the best year? I think I lean.
ninja: Jonathan Taylor? slightly I'm a little worried about, uh... The wide receiver situation there, it kind of seems... uh I don't know.
ninja: Like it's unknown with Alec Pierce. Being the guy now, the one of the higher paid wide receivers in the league, I think he got $25 million dollars a year or something like that. Pittman's gone.
Lord Hinkie : Stupid.
ninja: So how does this pass game look? But Jonathan Taylor's a stud. And I'm going to trust in him continuing to be a stud. So I guess...
Lord Hinkie : Yeah.

ninja: Oops, sorry. So I guess... The strategy here is... for you guys later in drafts, do you want to do an RB stable like Junior was talking about? because If the running backs do fall...
ninja: Do you get two or three top guys in the first couple rounds? And then. punt your other positions. Or... You kind of look and... uh snacks my receivers but one thing i don't like doing is like alternating running back receiver running back receiver uh i like being loaded at one position and then figuring the rest out What do you think, Junior?
Lord Hinkie : If you're asking me which one of my strategies I prefer, and I think especially for this year, as most years, I think. Getting to starting running backs early in a draft is very beneficial. There's not a lot of stud running backs anymore. And.
Lord Hinkie : If you can get... like two of a... Two top 12, two top... 15 running backs. I think you set yourself up pretty well. Because you're usually not going to.
Lord Hinkie : You know if you go up against a team week One of your fantasy buddies in your week -to -week matchups, and you have two better running backs than he does. Most of the time. you're going to win that matchup, especially if you can just draft startable, decent wide receivers with you know a boom -bust capability. so I prefer a running back stable. draft set up but Obviously, two each the round.
ninja: To each their own. And the picks after I selected Jonathan Taylor went on a little bit of a running back run here. James Cook went at the 110. Jay Jets went at the 111. Then Devon Achan and Ashton Gentry went on the turn.
ninja: Amarian Hampton at the 2 -2 and Saquon Barkley here at the 2 -3, which really puts me at an interesting spot here because now the RB staple kind of left where you're grabbing two studs. Do I want to grab a guy like a Kenneth Walker or Chase Brown?
ninja: I don't really know, so I'm going to tinker around with a strategy that I think I'm going to do a lot this year. is I'm going to go the hero RB strategy. which is something I'm going to employ where I drafted my stud up top. And then I'll find someone later down the board at running back, maybe a Rico Dowdle, someone on that tier level.
ninja: So I'm looking at other positions right now. in. If you ever listened to this podcast before. you really should know that there's one guy I'm going to eye up here. And he will be taken. I'm going to take Nico Collins.
ninja: Here at the 2 -4.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah.
ninja: uh top five potential wide receiver. And if you're me, top one. Potential.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah.
ninja: Uh...
Lord Hinkie : a
ninja: Love this pick.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, I think that's a really good pick So yeah, the hero RB is definitely a fun strategy. And as you can kind of hear Ninja's thought process there. you you make your best You make your best pick in the first round, but you also have to be flexible. So if you go into the draft... before any of the picks are made and you go, I'm going to draft.
Lord Hinkie : two rbs in the first two rounds like regardless you're kind of setting yourself up for failure if the draft doesn't go the way you want it to so you have to be able to be flexible you kind of got to think on the fly
Lord Hinkie : So instead of being able to draft like an RB Stable setup, with Ninja drafting Jonathan Taylor and then forcing himself to draft a running back that he might not love there. you kind of switch up your mindset, switch up your thought process and go, okay, well.
Lord Hinkie : I'm gonna draft who I think is the best player available here and then kind of figure it out later as you go which is, you know. It's definitely a plus. You don't want to force picks where you don't think they're ready just because you want to stick to your strategy.
Lord Hinkie : You got to be flexible. You got to be water. So after Nico Collins went at the 2 -4. Derrick Henry went at the 2 -5. Chase Brown went at the 2 -6. Drake London went at the 2 -7. A .J. Brown went at the 2 -8, and then our first quarterback off the board, Josh Allen, went 2 -9, which I guess we can kind of talk about as well.
Lord Hinkie : Ninja, I know we're both... heavy advocates for the punt quarterback whenever you're in like one QB redraft leagues. But do you think there's any benefit on?
Lord Hinkie : Let's say, for example, this Team 4 here who draft Puka Nakua and Josh Allen with their first two picks. Do you think... Do you think this is like a viable strategy in fantasy for redraft leagues?
ninja: For me, personally... No. But I also like format. Normally I format my teams pretty similarly. Because it works for me.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah.
ninja: redraft champion over here. You know how it is.
Lord Hinkie : What?
ninja: But you're getting the... the best quarterback in the NFL, one of the highest producing fantasy quarterbacks of the last five years, and he projects to do that again. I don't necessarily have a problem with it because you're going to get elite production all year from the quarterback spot.
ninja: It's just not how I generally... do my drafts. I think I would rather target a quarterback. In the... If you drafted quarterback high maybe in the fourth round, maybe.
ninja: you know, Joe Burrow falls there. a Justin Herbert. uh that kind of range where you're not getting Josh Allen or maybe Lamar Jackson, but you're getting, you know,
ninja: the tier right below that for fantasy.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, I agree with you. and and I was going to talk about that strategy a little bit later, but I i do think there is a tier and a window later on in redrafts where you can draft a really good, you know. top. four to top eight quarterback in the league and you're getting them. in the seventh round, in the eighth round.
Lord Hinkie : compared to having to draw draft Josh Allen at the 2 -7, and you miss out on you know another stud running back, another stud wide receiver. Or what I'm thinking right now. A stud -tain end.
Lord Hinkie : So yeah, I think I agree that. It's not my strategy. It's not my favorite strategy. I would look to go somewhere else besides Josh Allen, but... You know? We'll see how it goes. So I'm up now at the two 10 and I'm kind of looking at, I was trying to like, as we were talking about earlier, I was hoping to draft another stud wide receiver here, kind of go zero RB and kind of see how that strategy works for me.
Lord Hinkie : I don't love any of the wide receivers here. The top players on the name or top players on the name top. And. players on the top of the list are george pickens malik neighbors rishi rice chris olave i don't love any of these names and i think i'd be okay getting them in the third round compared to at the 210 here which is another strategy obviously we're both kind of on the ends of the the snake draft turn So I'm kind of looking at who do I want to draft and who do I think is not going to make it back to me at the 3 -3.
Lord Hinkie : and I think i'm I'm really just debating on which tight end I want to draft. so Trey McBride and Brock Bowers are... you know 1 -1 -1 -2 and tight end rankings.
Lord Hinkie : It's kind of tough for me to make a decision here. I think I'm going to go... Brock Bowers. But it's really a coin flip for me. I think both of the quarterback situations give you question. I think both of the offenses in general kind of give you question.
Lord Hinkie : i'm gonna go brock bowers there and kind of see who follows me on the other side of the turn But I think if you go Trey McBride or Brock Bowers there, it's... It's a pretty safe pick, and I think you're going to get one of the top two tight ends in the league.
Lord Hinkie : So I go Brock Bowers at the 210. So my team is Jamar Chase and Brock Bowers to start. At the 2 -11. Malik Neighbors goes. Jeremiah Love goes at the 212, which we can talk about him in a second. George Pickings goes at the 3 -1. And then Kenneth Walker goes at the 3 -2.
Lord Hinkie : So I'm back up here at the 3 -3. And Ninja, I kind of want to get your thoughts on Jeremiah Love in a redraft situation. It kind of looks like they're going to be running more of a committee. to at least start the year than what it looked like when they drafted him. fourth overall.
Lord Hinkie : do you still think that Jeremiah loves should be like ranked this highly and being like an end of the second, early third round redraft pick. And if he is there for you in drafts, are you picking him in this round? There's like range.
ninja: I think the range is... right around correct. like right around a a Kenneth Walker. a Kyron Williams, but... i'd I think I'd rather Kyron Williams, like you said, they're going to run a committee there to start and it might remain a committee all year.
ninja: Because we know that offensive line isn't good. The quarterback play is questionable. The weapons around are a little bit iffy. Besides Trey McBride. Like, it's it's kind of... I also try and avoid bad offenses if I can what I think is going to be a bad offense.
ninja: But I think the range is right. But you also got to remember, you can't trust rookies right away.
Lord Hinkie : Mm hmm.
ninja: Like normally in Dynasty, you want to... Have your. rookies on the bench, at least to start, just to see how they're integrated into the offense. But Jeremiah Love, I think...
ninja: We'll get integrated pretty fast, but... In a committee, how many touches is he going to get? Is he going to get 18 carries a game, or is it going to be more like... 12. You just don't know, so you want to...
ninja: Make sure that in the first two rounds, you're getting studs that are going to have high output and high production. And you always got to be careful with rookies taking them this early.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah. And I think the Jeremiah Love situation kind of... Like if I were, if I were beat. If I were to be a team that would draft Jeremiah Love, I wouldn't want to draft an RB stable situation because the guy who picked Jeremiah Love also got Jameer Gibbs at the 1 -1, and then he ended up turning around and getting George Pickens at the 3 -1. So you already have your stud. You have your superstar, Jameer Gibbs. You can kind of take that risk and that like high upside on Jeremiah Love there in the second round.
Lord Hinkie : But if you were to do that, I would almost want to draft a backup plan. for those early weeks where Jeremiah Love might not be getting all the touches that you want. So I would almost draft a third running back there and with my third pick. But obviously, you know.
Lord Hinkie : the team itself didn't do that. But if I were to do that strategy where it's like, if I drafted my love in the second round, I need a backup plan for if he's not starting week one or like if he doesn't get. 10 to 15 touches until week four. like What am I going to do there? because i drafted I don't have any other stud players because I drafted him in the second round. I need a backup plan. So if I do draft Jeremiah Love, I'm going RB stable, and I'm getting backup plans for him.
Lord Hinkie : And then when he turns around and he's you know a stud towards the end of the year, getting all the touches, you now have three stud running backs to start week in and week out. and Yeah, that's a good. That's good base for your team in any league, if especially redraft.
Lord Hinkie : So. I'm back up here at the 3 -3. I went Jamar Chase and Brock Bowers for my first two picks. Trey McBride actually fell back to me here at the third round, and I was like looking at him. I'm like, do i want to be do I want to have this crazy two tight end strategy? I feel like it would be kind of fun.
Lord Hinkie : If this was a tight end premium league, I probably would do this, and then I would end up just starting Trey McBride or Brock Bowers in my flex spot, which would just be... So fun. But I think I'm going to go away from that just because it's not tight end premium. And I want to make this redraft a little bit more realistic for. No running back situation. so I'm going to draft my... Favorite wide receiver on the board here, and I'm going to go Rasheed Rice.
Lord Hinkie : Obviously, everyone he heard about the off you off the field issues with Rasheed Rice. and his probation situation, and he had some kind of knee scope thing going on over the offseason. But as of now, he's playing in preseason. He's fully healthy. It doesn't seem like the NFL is going to give him any more of a. discipline or you know suspend him anymore for you know his off -the -field issues. I'm kind of turning a new chapter on the Rishi Rice.
Lord Hinkie : Player career and then now I'm hoping he just has a really good productive season especially there in Kansas City where... He's number one option now. I mean, kelsey Kelsey's kind of on the back burner. I think Rasheed Weiss is the number one guy. Him and Kenneth Walker are going to run that offense now. so I'm going to go Rasheed Rice there. So my team is Jamar Chase, Brock Bowers, Rasheed Rice. And now when I come back at the 4 -10 -5 -3 situation, now I'm going to start looking at the running back, maybe even the quarterback situation, just kind of see where it falls.
Lord Hinkie : And yeah, so after me at the 3 -3, Chris Olave went at the 3 -4. Trey McBride went at the 3 -5. Josh Jacobs went at the 3 -6. Brees Hall went at the 3 -7, and Kyron Williams went at the 3 -8. And now, Ninja, you're up here at the 3 -9. Where are we going, big guy?
ninja: Well, a couple things. if If I'm that early in the draft, if I'm at the 1 -3 and I have the chance to take Brock Bowers and Trey McBride, maybe it's not realistic, but I think I would do it just because that's really fun.
ninja: And normally you don't get to do things like that. But you're right. This isn't a tight end premium league. So you don't really need two tight ends. But I think... If I was in a... draft like this today.
ninja: I think I do that just because it's really fun. And if you guys... Bye. a little behind on NFL news, I would probably punt. Josh Jacobs, at least till later, probably facing an eight game suspension for off the field issues.
ninja: So make sure you guys read into that before taking him. this early i would probably wait He might even go. wait till like the eighth round or something like that and then maybe you pick them up as like a deep flyer for later in the year dealing with bye weeks injuries all that fun stuff But as the draft went We had a couple more running backs go. So I think I'm going to stick with my Hero RB.
ninja: uh, philosophy. And. Just... punt that second running back spot for now, and I'm liking in this range the wide receivers I'm looking at. I'm looking at Devontae Smith. I'm looking at Tet McMillan. Maybe if you're a Garrett Wilson guy, I kind of like these options. I'm also thinking tight end here. Do I like Colson Loveland? Do I like Tyler Warren here?
ninja: But I'm going to stick with wide receiver. I'm going to get our guy. Devontae Smith With no AJ Brown there.
Lord Hinkie : Love it.
ninja: Instant. upside to be in that wide receiver one conversation.
Lord Hinkie : Love it.
ninja: Uh... Should see the entire offense. It'll be interesting to see if they use him as... More of an outside guy or a slot between him and Kyle Lemon. Very interesting, but definitely top 12 upside there.
ninja: With Devontae Smith.
Lord Hinkie : Absolutely love that pick. I knew he would not fall back to me, and he was probably going to go in this. third to fourth kind of range there, but I think getting him in the third round as your second best wide receiver is an awesome start to this draft.
ninja: And then after me. uh, went Lamar Jackson, who I was going to target in the fourth round. I think that's about the range. Uh, Ladd -McConkie won at the 311. T. Higgins at the 312. Tett McMillan for one. Javante Williams went at the 4 -2. And then Emeka Egbuka went at the 4 -3. I really like that pick. Emeka Egbuka was another guy. I was targeting here at my spot. But like Junior said, you got to be liquid, got to be water. You got to be prepared for everything coming around your way.
ninja: And I keep looking at these running backs and I'm like, Do I really want one here? No. Uh, But Colston Loveland is looking really pretty right now at this spot for me.
Lord Hinkie : So handsome.
ninja: If... So handsome. What a handsome fella. Do I like him? Do I like Tyler Warren? Do I think about grabbing a QB here? Do I grab a Drake May, a Joe Burrow? Jalen. Jalen Hurts, Jaden Daniels. But I think I'm going to keep passing. on quarterback. I'm going to keep passing on running back. I'm going to stick with my hero RB strategy.
ninja: And I'm going to take Colston Loveland here and solidify my tight end room because I think if you don't get a top guy, like a top six kind of tight end, you wait till the very end of your draft to do that and you get a sneaky guy. down the board.
ninja: Let's say... How far does George Kittle fall? with his lingering Achilles injury? How far does a guy like Dallas Goddard fall? How far does a guy, one of our guys, Bretton Strange, fall in a draft like this?
ninja: So if you don't get one of the top guys, I would wait and kind of target those guys probably around the seventh to eighth round. uh but junior Up at your pick.
Lord Hinkie : Yep. So after Colson Loveland went at the 4 -4. Zay Flowers went at the 4 .5. Cam Scadaby went 4 .6, which is interesting. Bucky Irving going at the 4 .7. Garrett Wilson going at the 4 .8. And then Trevor Etienne, or I'm sorry, Travis Etienne.
Lord Hinkie : Went at the 4 -9, running back from New Orleans. And I am back up here at the 4 -10. And I have have a couple picks to think about. I like that we kind of both went tight in early. I think it shows that.
Lord Hinkie : You have to be able to draft the value where it's at, especially in these mid to early rounds. You kind of, like you said, you got to be water. You got to be flexible. And I'm looking at.
Lord Hinkie : The running back situation, because obviously I went to Marchese early. I went Rasheed Rice. I went Brock Bauer. So I have no running backs right now. And I still don't love the running back situation. I feel like. drafting at the 410 and then having another pick at the 5 -3, I'm... Okay with wood whatever running back were to fall to me here at the
Lord Hinkie : you know, in five picks from now. You know, a guy like Judkins, a guy like Trayvon Henderson, even a guy like Bashal Tootin, I feel pretty okay with getting in the next round. So I'm trying to draft value here where I see fit. And I don't want to force a running back pick here just because.
Lord Hinkie : I don't have one yet And to be honest, I think I'm looking at going quarterback. Do you go ahead, Ninja, before I make the pick?
ninja: So this is also the range, like you were saying, You're you're okay with letting guys fall. The two guys after you and who will pick again on the turn both have two running backs. So they're probably not going to go running back.
Lord Hinkie : Exactly.
ninja: So you're able to wait a little bit because you know they're probably going to go wide receiver, quarterback, or tight end. So pick your favorite of the bunch from those guys because they probably won't go that way.
Lord Hinkie : Mm hmm.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, and then if, say for some reason, they draft the third running back, now that lets those wide receivers and those tight ends fall even further down the board, and I'm still getting good value there at the 5 -3. So yeah, that's a good point. You got to draft your draft room. You got to look at where... what the teams around you look like, what they might need, what they're targeting, and kind of take an educated guess there.
Lord Hinkie : So I'm actually looking at the quarterback position here. and One of the first draft strategies I ever learned was drafting a stack. And if there's any stack that you want in fantasy this year or, you know, all the years to come.
Lord Hinkie : It's Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase. It's the best wide receiver in the league and one of the best quarterbacks in the league. so I'm going to draft Joe Barrow here at the 410. So my team is Jamar Chase, Joe Barrow, Rasheed Rice, and Brock Bowers, and I am ecstatic. I really like this setup. Now I'm going to kind of force look running back because I don't want to draft another wide receiver here and then be dealt the next tier of running back. So I definitely want to get a running back here in this tier.
Lord Hinkie : So let's see who went around the turn. So Jalen Waddell went at the 411. Terry McLaurin went at the 4 -12. Drake May went at the 5 -1, which was another quarterback I was debating on. To to be honest, if I didn't have Jamar Chase, I probably would have drafted Drake May as just like a.

And the fact that I had Jamar Chase and I can make that stack with Burrow, it made all the sense in the world. So Drake May went at the 5 -1 at the turn. And then Travion Henderson went at the 5 -2, which... It was very exciting for me because I... So like you said, Ninja, all the teams around the turn had two running backs already. So only one running back went in those four picks in between mine.
Lord Hinkie : And I still have the every running back I was debating on taking available to me after the turn. So now it's a decision as to who do I want to pick. Top guys on the on the list are David Montgomery.

I'm not really debating on taking David Montgomery. I think it's just a little bit too early for him. And I think they're going to run a pretty heavy committee there with Woody Marks and in Houston.

Lord Hinkie : I don't love the offense in Cleveland in itself. like I just don't think they're going to score many points. with whoever at quarterback, either the guy that touches people or Shador Sanders. I just don't. I don't think they're going to do very well. I don't think the team's going to turn out very good. I don't think they're going to score a lot of points. But I think if anybody does well in that offense, it's going to be Quinshawn Judkins.

ninja: Or do I look quarterback here? I'm kind of liking... Jalen Hurts in this range. Caleb Williams in this range. I really like that. And no none of the teams behind me except one has a quarterback, so they're probably going to look that way on the turn here.
ninja: but I don't want to spoil it too much Hot take incoming, maybe later this week. I'm going to draft Bayshall Tootin. I know I said I was going to do the hero RB strategy, but I like the range.

Lord Hinkie : Yeah, I think that's a good pick because i I feel like he's the last of that middle range tier with all the running backs that went in that round. So i think you I think you got the end of that tier. So I think that's a good pick.

I'm going to make my stack as well. I'm going to take Caleb Williams and get my quarterback off the board. Still a big Caleb Williams guy. I think he's going to finish in the top five of fantasy this season for quarterbacks. I think he was close last year if he didn't.

And then you have the weeks where Luther Burden gets a touchdown. So i I do think it's going to be very back and forth between the two of them. But I agree. I think at the end of the day, they're going to finish around the same area where they're at now. And I think Eileen Odunze.
Lord Hinkie : in my personal rankings just because he had a much better rookie season than Burden did last year. But then again, all the buzz is around Bird. so Who really knows at the end of the day?
Lord Hinkie : So I'm back up here at the 610. So my team makeup is Jamar Chase, Brock Bowers, Rasheed Rice, Joe Burrow, and Quinshot Judkin. So I have my starting tight end. I have my starting quarterback. I'm good. I will not draft another quarterback or another tight end. I'm not even looking at.
Lord Hinkie : picking a backup. Because I already have two studs that I'm never going to not start. So I'm strictly looking at the running back and the wide receiver positions. With that being said.
Lord Hinkie : There is zero running backs that I want to draft in this tier. It's god -awful. It's disgusting. The next best running back on our rankings is Chuba Hubbard. or Mondray Stevenson. So. I'm not even thinking about going. running back i'm basically just picking which wide receiver here do i want to start in my flex and there's a pretty obvious one for me, and it's my guy. It's me and Zig's guy, actually, so I'm going to go Christian Watson here at the 6 '10".
Lord Hinkie : he's He's my favorite weapon there and in Green Bay. him and Tucker Craft, I think. Christian Washington kind of got healthy last year. He improved. He seemed like much more of a focal point of that offense there in Green Bay. So I think he's going to be the number one guy there until.
Lord Hinkie : Further notice so I like getting Christian Watson there at the 610 He'll start in my flex and I also love kind of getting that boom bust option in my flex spot That's kind of a preference of mine. I see the flex spot as like a bonus pick as like an extra player almost. So if I have the chance of Christian Watson catching two bomb touchdowns in a week and putting up 30 points and winning me a game like I i want that option.
Lord Hinkie : obviously you have the contrary where he might just have a catch for eight yards and you get screwed over and you lose but i want that i want that chance and that variable in my flex spot so I went Christian Watson there at 6 '10 to start my flex as my third wide receiver. After. Christian Watson, we got Kyle Pitts going at the 6 '11".
Lord Hinkie : Brian Thomas going at the 6 '12". Harold Fanning going to the 7 -1 and Dak Prescott going at the 7 -2. All players that I was not even looking at drafting. So this is... Beautiful for me.
Lord Hinkie : And now... I am at the crossroads of do I draft a second running back just to start them, even though I don't love the running backs that are left? Or do I draft a fourth wide receiver?
Lord Hinkie : as a top end bench option. So that way I can kind of. match up to match up Christian Watson with one of these other players that I might draft. so I have a little bit to think about here, but... Ninja, what are your thoughts on... Like, what would you do if you were in my situation?
ninja: If I was in your situation, I like everything you're saying about running back. maybe not the range for some of these guys like, uh, Arico Dowdle.
ninja: an RJ Harvey, maybe you're just not feeling it. I would definitely look wide receiver too. And a question I want to ask you. Brian Thomas just went at the 6 '12", and Parker Washington is so much buzz coming out of camp. are you leaning Parker Washington over Brian Thomas at this point? And where does, you know, a Jacoby Myers fit in? Where does a Travis Hunter fit into this conversation for the Jacksonville wide receiver room?
Lord Hinkie : That's a great question. I definitely lean Parker Washington in my rankings, mostly just because I feel like he's so much. He's a he much safer player than what Brian Thomas is right now.
Lord Hinkie : I would definitely lean Parker Washington, and it's really not close to my rankings. I was never even thinking about drafting Brian Thomas. And then I like Jacoby Myers. I think Jacoby Myers is a good NFL pro. I don't know how much of a fantasy value he is.
Lord Hinkie : So I think I'd probably have him as my third wide receiver in there in the Jackson. in Jacksonville. And then Travis Hunter is just. Sad.
ninja: A corner.
Lord Hinkie : to talk about. Yeah. Yeah, i think he I think he is, and that's just that's that me. That upsets me. I think they're going to use him as like some kind of gadget player on offense, and he'll get some touches. and I might score a touchdown here once in a while when they do some kind of trick play with him, but it doesn't seem like he is the general generational player that we thought he could be coming out.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah. That's all I got.
ninja: But if I was in your shoes here... I agree with you. I'm looking for a backup spot, a flex spot at wide receiver. I'd be targeting guys like... Uh... The Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr., or Michael Wilson? Which one you like more? I think Courtland Sutton is very safe here.
ninja: as like a bi -week fill -in, as a flex spot.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah.
ninja: If you don't like the matchup that Christian Watson has, I think that's very safe. I also like... this range. for seeing what Indy's offense is with Alec Pierce after that contract.
ninja: or Another safe guy on a week -to -week basis for the most part, Jordan Addison here. as a nice flex option.

I think they're they're probably a little bit lower. i'm I'm kind of debating on two names right now, and it's either... taking a safe floor in Parker, Washington, or it's taking the Marvin Harrison train again and seeing if you can turn it around and maybe end up being something there in Arizona.

Lord Hinkie : And it's hard. It's hard. And... With that being said, I think I'm going to draft Marvin Harrison here. Okay, so I'm going to take Marvin Harrison to be my first bench spot and my fourth wide receiver. So like I said, I'll probably, with this draft strategy, play the matchup situation between Christian Watson and Marvin Harrison, kind of see how the year is flowing and seeing how really Jacoby Brissett is doing there in Arizona.
Lord Hinkie : But Marvin Harrison is my first bench spot there. And to be honest, having Marv as my first bench wide receiver this year, when we were drafting him in like the third round last year.
Lord Hinkie : It's kind of nuts. It's kind of such a crazy fall from grace that I don't think anybody saw coming. But yeah. At the 7 -3, I went Marv. At the 7 -4, Tony Pollard. At the 7 -5 went Justin Herbert. At the 7 -6 went DK Metcalf, who I was like half thinking about there, but just I just don't think.
Lord Hinkie : I just like Marvin Harrison a little bit more. Parker Washington ended up going at the 7 -7, and then Rico Dada went at the 7 -8, and then Ninja, you're back up here at the 7 -9.
ninja: And I'm kind of in the same boat. With you here, I'm i'm looking for a swing. At a flex spot. I'm looking wide receivers. like Like I said, at your pick, I like Cortland Sutton here. I think he's very safe. I even like the prospect of a Makai Lemon here.

I would also look at you know the Rams defense or the Seahawks defense here. I think they're fine in this range, but if you don't get what you think is going to be like a top -five defense... I would wait till the end of your drafts to start doing it. Same thing with.
ninja: kickers if you do kickers in league stop but if you do Really, if you're not getting like Brandon Aubrey or who's the guy who made like a 68 yarder from Jacksonville.

I'm not looking at a quarterback. I'm not looking at a tight end. I'm really just looking at running backs and wide receivers.
Lord Hinkie : Yep, and then the next dart throw I'm gonna throw running back is gonna be Jonathan Brooks at the 810 running back for Carolina It looks like to start the year, he's going to be backing up. Chuba Hubbard, who went earlier in this round. but jonathan brooks seems healthy he seems fully with it and he actually but has been playing pretty well in preseason. So I'm very optimistic that Jonathan Brooks can.
Lord Hinkie : Get some. Get some work here in the regular season and maybe even work his way into being the. the first running back in that running back by committee that they'll definitely run there in Carolina. You know, we were both pretty big jonathan brooks fans back when he came out in the 2024 draft 2023 2024.

Lord Hinkie : Now I have Jonathan Brooks, who is the second running back in a committee, and I still think I need to band -aid this running back position.
Lord Hinkie : So, yes. So the second defense went after my eat pick at the 8 -10. So the L .A. Rams defense went at the 8 -11. Jordan Tyson went at the 8 -12, who is currently dealing with a hamstring injury that's going to probably sideline him for a couple months. So I don't know if I would have even thought about drafting him here. I probably would have drafted him in a few rounds from now, especially with other players like Chris Godwin, who went at the 9 -1, and Jordan Tyson that went at the 9 -2. who were two wide receivers that was I was really hoping would follow to me.
Lord Hinkie : That did not. So, a Ninja, again, I am going to have to deep dive here into seeing who I can pick because right now my zero RB strategy is just, it's it's not looking good.
ninja: Well, if you're looking at running back just go take one of the ninjas guys down there. Yeah, it really didn't Play out too well for you. Jordan Addison would have been a really nice. fine for you here in the ninth round and as I've been saying for the last two rounds I think Alec Pierce is a really good get here.
ninja: in this range uh Jaden Reed would be a... good guy to get in this range. Or maybe you... take a bet on Deshawn's dribbling. Because apparently he's the 49ers wide receiver one. Maybe you take a swing on a Casey Concepcion.
ninja: A Matthew Golden. I think that's about the range. Uh... for these guys but i'm very intrigued with what you do here and tell me why it can't be jcm
Lord Hinkie : to Well... it It could be JCM. Without bad this running back room looks right now because he is technically a starting running back there in Washington, but... I like Rashad White there as well. I like the fact that they drafted Keetron Allen. he looked He looks... Pretty good in preseason.
Lord Hinkie : And JCM just didn't show us much last year for me to have any faith in him and being a week -in -a -week -out starter. So... It's so tough. I think I'm going to have to force myself to draft a running back here because...
Lord Hinkie : Yes, as thin and bleak as it is right now. It could get much worse between my pick now and my pick in the 10th round. So I don't want to be left hanging high and dry.
Lord Hinkie : drafting third string running backs. So I think I want to get at least a guy who is playing in a committee right now. So I'm really I'm debating on debating on three names.
Lord Hinkie : and I'll kind of talk you through my thought process here. The two of them are both the running backs in Minnesota Jordan Mason, and Aaron Jones. They are committing themselves and they're both. pretty much just... similar players.
Lord Hinkie : at this stage in their careers. Aaron Jones is obviously on his tail end. Jordan Mason is kind of hitting his stride, but his stride is also like...
Lord Hinkie : A brisk walk. So I'm debating on which one which part of the committee I want there. I'd probably lean Jordan Mason, but it's like it's the slightest of leans.
Lord Hinkie : And I'm also looking at Kenneth Gainwell. who is going to be the second running back down there in Tampa Bay, who is going to kind of take over that Rashad White role that Rashad White had last year, who is you know the backup to Bucky Irving, but is more of like the pass catcher, third down. two minute drill kind of situation where I think he'll probably catch a lot of passes. and maybe be pretty safe for fantasy on just like a PPR setup. And I honestly, I think that's where I'm going to go.
Lord Hinkie : So, yeah, I'm going to draft Kenny Gainwell, Kenny Gain's yards at the 9 -3 as my third running back and first bench running back. And like I said earlier.
Lord Hinkie : With Christian Watson and Marvin Harrison, I think I'm definitely going to be playing matchups between Kenneth Gainwell and Jonathan Brooks. And to be honest, I'll probably start. Kenneth Gainwell to start the year because I feel like he has more of a safe role week one than Jonathan Brooks does as the backup running back in Carolina. And yeah, I'm basically just. you know shining up garbage to to start at the running back position right now i know i know I shouldn't be down talking my strategy before the draft or before the draft's over because
Lord Hinkie : you know Who knows what the year is going to turn out to be. But... I kind of forced myself to do this 0RB strategy. force myself to draft my receivers, tight ends, and QBs early. And I don't love it.
