Lord Hinkie : Welcome back to another episode of the ZNG Dynasty podcast. And yes. You are. Not mistaken. We are back. already. We just put a podcast out today as we were recording it. Slight technical difficulties. But I hope you guys enjoy the part one and part two of the last podcast, Me and Ninja, but out of a redraft mock draft for you fellas.
Lord Hinkie : But yes, I hope you guys enjoyed that, and I hope you guys are going to enjoy this podcast we have. together for you guys it is the long awaited kind of like yearly tradition for the boys at this point And yes, we will be doing the hot.

Lord Hinkie : And it wouldn't be a hot takes pod. without my right hand manned. Mr. Hot takes himself. Damien the Ninja more welcome to the show people
ninja: Thank you. Thank you. I'm back in the lab coat this year In my comfort zone, really. This is home base for me. The fellas know this off the mic, but I'm right at home for this podcast, just saying wild things. and I'd say about 80 % of the time.
ninja: they come true. I don't know. Seems like I've been doing pretty good recently.
Lord Hinkie : You have been doing pretty good recently. And yes, this is kind of like the zone where Ninja lives because hot takes and just Ninja's thoughts are kind of in the same boat. So this is kind of why we made this podcast like a yearly tradition, mostly because of the guy next to me here. I have a couple hot takes myself. We also have a special guest giving a hot take this year as well.
Lord Hinkie : So, yeah. Without further ado, Ninja, you want to get into this? We've got some notes to catch up on from the preseason.
ninja: Let's get rolling.
Lord Hinkie : Alright. So since it's been a while since we've done a legit. NFL fantasy football podcast. We have a lot of notes to get to about things that have gone on around the NFL while we've been gone. And the first one, which you guys have probably you know heard about this for months now, Ricky Pearsall.
Lord Hinkie : Out for the year with a PCL tear. He waited so long to get off -season surgery, which is kind of weird, but I figured he was probably going to be out for the year anyways.
Lord Hinkie : But Ninja, quick question. What are we doing with that wide receiver room in San Francisco? like They just brought in Mike Evans. They drafted that stripling kid in the second round that like no one really loved, but like he's probably going to get a lot of run there. Deebo Samuel's back in San Fran. Do we care?
Lord Hinkie : Who's there in San Francisco? And also, is there someone you're specifically targeting?
ninja: The answer is no. It's just a lot of gross, a lot of ill, a lot of meh. Kind of, guys. I expect Kittle to handle a lot of load. CMC to handle a lot of load. Maybe we see that stripling kid.
ninja: turn into a little bit of something, but I don't expect a lot from this wide receiver room this year.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, I would agree as soon as kills healthy. He's my guy there And for the scene kind of... circumstance of why we're not as high in the wide receiver room i'm not that high in brock party either so it's cmc for me it's mike evans for me and then i'm probably out on that San Francisco team.
Lord Hinkie : Breece Hall. Missed out on about two to three weeks with a groin injury earlier on in the preseason It's looking like he's gonna be healthy for week one. But with that being said Braylon Allen should be one of the most high -end backup running backs you should get in Dynasty right now. So if you don't have him yet or no one has him yet, send an offer. said Try and get that guy for like a third, I would say. Especially if because groin injuries. 10 -2.
Lord Hinkie : linger a little bit.
ninja: Linger.
Lord Hinkie : So if Brees Hall ends up being out a couple weeks this year, you're going to want Braylon Allen. So just someone for you to target and keep an eye on throughout the year. Next one ninja already Jordan Tyson.
Lord Hinkie : Out. for at least two months with a hamstring injury. And this is actually a different hamstring injury than what he had in college. So I don't know if that's good. I don't know if that's bad. In my head, it's worse because now he has this new hamstring injury that's going on.
Lord Hinkie : that seems to be Lingering as always. so I'm kind of glad New Orleans is holding him out for two months just to start it off, just to, you know, don't give him the opportunity to kind of fight through it and see if he can get it taken care of on his own. Just sit him out for two months and like try to get him fully healthy.
Lord Hinkie : But. Not a good sign for the injury prone guy going in the league and starting the year. Out for two months.
ninja: Yeah, definitely not good. And we said this in our summer scouting when we did our wide receiver rankings is this guy has all the talent in the world. It's just. The injuries, man. And they catch up to you real quick.
ninja: And I agree with you, it's even worse now that he has a different hamstring injury than he did in college. A lot of red flags there. but it It seems like they're treating him right there where they're giving him time to heal.
Lord Hinkie : okay
ninja: Time to regain his balance there. And hopefully he can be the stud that we all know he can be. Just a rough looking spot for him right now.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, not a good start On the other side of things, for New Orleans and then offense, Chris Lave is obviously going to be the guy, and he's actually been looking really good in preseason. A couple other needs just to monitor.
Lord Hinkie : Devon Valley who I believe was the old Broncos wide receiver is probably gonna be the wide receiver to to start the year And then one of the rookies they drafted, either Bryce Lance or Barian Brown, will probably be the third wide receiver there. So just maybe eat some deep flyers in your dynasty leagues. Give them a shout, peek at them in the first two months, see if they can get anything done.
Lord Hinkie : But. Other than that. It's probably Chris Olave. I'm out. Next news, a couple old guys signing the teams to keep their careers going. Keenan Allen signed with the Colts, and Najee Harris signed with the Giants.
Lord Hinkie : both expected just kind of be back up filler positions but uh For Fantasy Wise Ninja, do we care?
ninja: No, and I actually heard a report today that Keenan Allen was arrested on DUI. Suspicion.
Lord Hinkie : Yes.
ninja: So definitely. a We don't care because he's probably going to get suspended.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, especially if he gets suspended with that DUI. Even if he comes back. I don't expect him to do much but there with the colts naji I mean, I guess he's a dynasty stash if you don't have anybody else to drop, but I think he'll probably be a decent third string running back there. And then if anything were to happen to Kim Scadaboo, which a lot of things do.
Lord Hinkie : Maybe he can get some work, but... you know We saw what he looked like with the Chargers. That guy is just... There's not much left in that tank
Lord Hinkie : Next news, Jeremiah Love. Had a high ankle sprain and he's likely to miss the rest of the preseason, which is actually now And he did miss the rest of the preseason I'm assuming...
Lord Hinkie : I kind of thought this when they drafted him in the first place. while also bringing in Tyler Algier. and keeping James Conner around for that. Cardinals backfield I would assume Love kind of gets off to a slow start. And I think this high ankle sprain confirms that. I think they're probably going to take it easy on him. They're probably not going to play him too much early on. So I would expect... allergy or to probably start week one.
Lord Hinkie : To week three ish. I don't know. What are your thoughts on this love situation?
ninja: Yeah, definitely not good. We knew it was gonna be committee going in The thing is, are they going to give him the full backfield by, say... Week 7. I think would be the benchmark for it. Cause if not, we really do have to, well, especially for redrafters, you draft him in the second, third, fourth round. That's a high end pick. That's essentially going to waste.
ninja: But for us Dynasty guys, I don't think it worries us too much because we knew this going in. We knew the situation. and we're expecting you know it may take a year or two. So for him himself, I'm not too... I'm not too worried about him.
ninja: in the long. Game of Things and Dynasty.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah. Yeah, dynasty -wise, I'm not thinking twice about it, but if you're in your redraft leagues and... For me personally, I don't think i'm drafting jeremiah. Love unless I already have two running backs that I like Because you're going to if you draft him as your running back one or running back two even, and you're start expecting to start him every week.
Lord Hinkie : You're going to be disappointed, I think, early on. You're probably going to lose some matchups early on in the season with him not playing as much. so I would have a backup plan at running back for those first couple weeks until, you know, you expect Love to kind of...
Lord Hinkie : own that backfield. Next on the list, Aaron Donald. Gums Back. From retirement from the dead the undertaker meme someone hit me with the undertaker meme about him sitting up in the coffin
Lord Hinkie : Back to just destroy quarterback's heart and really the NFC in general. Him and miles Garrett on the same defensive line if Aaron McDonald is even 75 % of what he was before he retired.
Lord Hinkie : Like how do you like you need you need to start six offense alignment against that team?
ninja: Yeah, it's not good.

ninja: My question is, how are they able to afford $20 million in additional cap with, well, the $20 million is guaranteed. I heard a contract up to $30 million. dollars And how is that even financially... feasible.
ninja: For this team, I don't know.

Lord Hinkie : I've stopped trying to figure out the salary cap thing after Harry Roseman's been able to finagle it the way he does. I just... I just I watch and I trust.
ninja: Man, I see it and I go like the Lions who didn't make any really big notable moves in free agency. Maybe he could have had a play at Myles Garrett, pairing him with Ian Hutchinson. It's like, nope, the salary cap, he costs a little too much, and then they get the Rams get Myles Garrett, and they somehow bring on Aaron Donald for another $20 million. It's like, what are we doing?
Lord Hinkie : Yeah. Yeah, I'm convinced that the salary cap is not real. You just have owners in the NFL that are just. Stingy. And that's kind of where it's at. Kind of in baseball. Next on the news, Ninja.

ninja: Before his season even got started this year where he was the clear wide receiver too.

Lord Hinkie : knowing that they just... Suck and you were wrong Like, I was just wrong about Jalen Polk. Like I thought he was good. He wasn't good. He's out of the nfl. It is what it is. I can kind of move on But Jaden Higgins...
Lord Hinkie : having as solid as a rookie year as he did. with all of the upside and all of the potential for this year to be a good year for him and for that to just be stripped away.
Lord Hinkie : It just... It hurts so bad. You got to wait another year for his breakout
ninja: It...
Lord Hinkie : Woof woof woof!
ninja: gg said it for me i think uh i'm broken to my core Really, especially in a lot of my fantasy leagues, Jaden Higgins was... going to be my wide receiver three, a good flex option for me, someone who I would. I would always throw in there on a bye week. And just now it's. it's stripped from me and it hurts even more because Jaden Higgins was... My guy.
ninja: uh my guy so i'm gonna you know elevate these guys to the roof as you guys know listening to this podcast i'll promote my guys as much as possible It just hurts even more seeing him.
ninja: Uh, do as well as he did in a rookie year. And I think it was probably the best. you know, rookie wide re receiver, you're outside of Ted McMillan. And it it just sucks to see that his second year.
ninja: with hopefully a better you know, offensive crew around him, he doesn't get to fulfill that. And it really, really stinks.
Lord Hinkie : Next on the list. Well, I guess actually before we move that Keishon Boutte Got traded to the Texans to kind of fill that void that Jaden Higgins was leaving. I don't know how I feel about it. I kind of think Jalen Noel.
Lord Hinkie : There with the Texans is probably my second favorite wide receiver. After Nico, obviously.
Lord Hinkie : So I think Boutte will just be a decent like third option for them.
ninja: Have you?
Lord Hinkie : He'll probably play a lot, but I don't think he's going to produce much. if that makes nice sense.
ninja: Have you seen tape out of Tank Dell recently?
Lord Hinkie : I think he's starting the year on the IR.
ninja: Is he oh my I saw a tape of him and I was like he's back
Lord Hinkie : Yeah.
ninja: He looks stronger. He looks faster. But if he's starting on IR, I guess we do care about bootay. Thank you, Ty.

I think he just needed a change of scenery So going to the Packers the Packers already have Marshawn Lloyd. There is like the presumed starter without Josh Jacobs. but
Lord Hinkie : What's your take here on the Green Bay backfield, Ninja? Are you more of a... Caleb johnson guy marshall and lloyd guy or just like a fade and See?
ninja: For this year, I'm a Fade and Sea guy. in dynasty

ninja: I'm going to try and buy Caleb Johnson everywhere. I was a big believer in him coming into his draft. I think I had him as a top three back in his draft, and it was a pretty loaded running back class.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah, I was high on him too. I think he was around four or five.
ninja: So I'm going to buy into the film I saw. Pittsburgh didn't use him right. They had him return in punts. He never did that in college. What are we doing?

ninja: Have him between the tackles. And I think Green Bay can do that for him because that's a lot of their run scheme.

ninja: so So in Dynasty, I'm... buying Caleb Johnson, and I might even send two -thirds for him.

Lord Hinkie : pretty good value for this year especially towards the end of the year once he's more comfortable there in Green Bay. Next on the list will be... Deshaun Watson got named the starting quarterback of the Browns

ninja: It's a no -brainer for me, but... What I think is going to happen is Deshaun's going to start two games on the road, get absolutely annihilated. And then when they go home finally for week three, Shooter is going to get the start.
Lord Hinkie : Yeah. I could see that happening. makes sense now too we like looking at it that and from that light but It's just it's a brain head. It's a it's a brain dead move to me.

ninja: That's what I'm saying. People forget, and maybe it's not a hot take that he finishes top 12, but he's he's a league winner this year. And people have forgotten, but they will remember this podcast.

Lord Hinkie : It's a two parter. Quinshawn Judkins leads the league in carries. which I don't know if that's a super hot take or not, but... I think he leads the league in carries. And I think he leads the AFC in rushing yards.

And I think they're building that team to just show off his talents, which is running between the tackles. and being like a workhorse like workload kind of running back and with the incredible upgrades they made at their off offensive line if all of it works out with Probably not having a pass game because they don't have a quarterback and they have two rookie wide receivers
Lord Hinkie : I think a lot of this offensive load is going to go on Quinn Sean Judkins. Now, I think the the only way he probably wouldn't this probably wouldn't work out is if just. the Browns offense stunk in general, which it probably will. So that's kind of like the hot take.
Lord Hinkie : Is can he accrue enough rushing yards? with on such an awful offense. so I think that's the main question, but I think Judkins is... The talent is not a question. I think he can totally get it done. And with the offensive line, I think he can totally get it done.
Lord Hinkie : But... And then on the, I guess I can throw it out there. comparing other running backs in the AFC. Running backs like Derrick Henry Jonathan Taylor. are like two of like the top names that come to mind but i Think you can definitely outrush those guys. I thought about doing NFL but I kind of I went a little bit down a little bit to just the AFC Because Gibbs and Bijan are in the NFC.

Lord Hinkie : cause i think Bringing it back to like my reasoning. Last year. Patriots offense was obviously pretty good. But the one part of their game they struggled in was scoring in the red zone.
Lord Hinkie : They kicked a lot of field goals from, like, inside the 30. And they would try and, like, hammer it home with, like, Rashad – Ramondre Stevenson and Tredavion Henderson, and it just never really got there. So I think they can utilize A .J. Brown as like that. you know, slant guy, throw it up to them kind of guy. And I think they can utilize him in the red zone.
Lord Hinkie : to the best of his capabilities. So i think I think it's going to be a good fit for Drake May and AJ Brown. Red Zone specifically. and then obviously he'll catch his like 30 40 50 yard bombs every once in a while too but
ninja: I agree. Yeah, I just don't think the touchdowns are... Like, that's what I expect out of... this combo this year.

Their schedule is. infinitely tougher, and I like a lot of teams in the AFC this year. I'm thinking the Texans. I'm thinking the Colts. I'm thinking the Jaguars. I'm thinking the Broncos.
ninja: Thinking the Chiefs, Chargers. There's a lot of teams I like. a lot more than I like the Patriots this year. The Patriots will not make the playoffs this year, which will not affect fantasy numbers.
ninja: but they will just not be in the playoffs.
Lord Hinkie : So is your take? like they have like a slightly below. than expected season. and a lot more of the AFC teams are better.

ninja: Yes, I think they have like a 9 -8 season.

ninja: And it's just not good enough. Because there's other AFC teams that are better.
Lord Hinkie : I can I can actually I can see that. Like, I think we both. are a little bit lower on the Patriots. this season than we were last season. I can see that because I do think there's a lot of like dark horse teams in the AFC.
Lord Hinkie : like I could see him finishing 9 -8, 10 -7 and maybe like missing the wild card. You know, Bills win of the division. they they They lose a tiebreaker or maybe they just don't.
Lord Hinkie : they don't get it done, but I can totally see that. I would love for it to happen in 2028. Because we got that

Lord Hinkie : ter Terrence Ferguson is a guy. Great pass catcher. He showed a lot of flashes last season when they actually played him and he was healthy. But he's coming in this year healthy. He's coming into this year as a tight end one.
Lord Hinkie : in camp, in practice. I think he is the guy. I think he stays the guy. And I think he has a very good year. with Matthew Stafford at the quarterback position. So give me a top 12 finish for Terrence Ferguson. If you don't have him, go get him. And if you don't have him.

The only thing slowing him down was that ACL injury. And yes, he did miss the entire season last year with the injury as well. He's kind of been buried on that. No one's really talking about him anymore. He's been buried on the Panthers running back room Chuba they had Rico data last year
Lord Hinkie : but this year it's just it's true it's the It's the corpse of Chuba Hubbard. And it's Jonathan Brooks. So if... if he's going to be anything. It's going to be this season. He has to do it.
