Speaker: Hello and welcome to Kalerinden, the Hireling Chronicles.
Speaker: Kalerinden is an actual play Dungeons play Dungeons & Dragons as a podcast. My name is David Case LeClaire and I will be the narrator and game master for these sessions.
Speaker: Kalerinden is a world of magic and adventure, a world of
Speaker: It is a world perpetually beset by the forces of chaos. But every time the darkness returns, epic heroes rise to save the realm. But our story is not about the Epic Heroes, at least not directly.
Speaker: Our story is about three novice adventurers that have recently agreed to carry the Epic Heroes baggage. And joining us as the hardy hirelings, we have Beth Gleason as... Lilia Thomas and...
Speaker: I am from Shepscott, which is famous for sheep, and we collect a lot of different breeds. We have Blackface and Suffolk, and my husband gave my father the rare breed of Castle Milk Moorrut, and they're very pretty, and my father loves them.
Speaker: Castle Milk Moorrut, that's amazing. yeah Wow, that's going to be the next Epic Era. ah And we have Drew Gleason Moorrut. Darwinius Gorf Nozzlesnot.
Speaker: Snot home village in swamp. Interesting thing about village is they say Snot not come back. Sometimes Snot go there, visit Mama Gorf, but she also said go away.
Speaker: That's a little bit sad. And Dave Sturgis as... I am playing Ferdigar from the farms over there on the damp side of the river. And I think this has come up before, but the farms do actually predate Mud Puddle by quite a bit.
Speaker: And we recently got some independent confirmation of that. The farm folk are rather old fashioned in their ways. They're not into numbers so much, so they can't exactly rattle off the number of years it's been around, but it is an interesting place.
Speaker: Their ways are different. They do some communal child rearing, some very, very intense harvest festivals, and Fren is very happy to live there. So are we talking like a midsummer kaipa situation here?
Speaker: There's a wicker something. not sure if we've decided what it is yet, but they're definitely harvesting a lot of wicker. Another wicker pig. might be the The wicker sculpture might be getting increasingly Mayor Wigbald shaped. We'll we'll see.
Speaker: Well, next time we go to any of those towns, we'll have to keep a lookout.
Speaker: In our last episode, the party headed back into the foothills to look for the fey powder that Sharnanan says could possibly cure the sickness afflicting Lilia and Talonvor.
Speaker: As Talonvor has become increasingly confused by the sickness, the party has found themselves hunted by a troop of Fomor and their Bloodhawk. Along the way, they have been aided by the mysterious elves known as the Wanderlost,
Speaker: But will their illusion be enough to hold off the Fomor long enough to find the cure? Let's find out.
Speaker: So once again, ahead of you through the trees, you hear the river splashing merrily along through the dark. Oh. And ahead, the trees break a bit, and you see the moon glinting across the expanse of the river.
Speaker: Up ahead, you hear the waterfall crashing down. Probably pretty close. Almost there! Elfkill River. But you're out of cover here. Let's cross. If you take your time and ah go carefully across, you're able to get across without too much difficulty.
Speaker: Unless Snot tries to swim on his own. Last time I think he got a lift from Fred. Yeah. Well, is that an option again? Yep. Fred is happy to carry Snot and guide Swift off across.
Speaker: Yeah, and Swift-Up is pretty okay with doing a little bit of swimming in the river. and She seems quite regal. Something about her makeover has given her this confidence that she didn't have before. Is Talonvor able to get across the river?
Speaker: Yeah, he has no problem at all. With Longstrider, just swims across. He's like, Robbie, should we a skinny dip? Like old times.
Speaker: Uh, no. No, I... That's a no. Yeah, maybe not with the donkey watching, right? Remember that time with the donkey? Yeah, that was that was a close one. Close shave, you might say.
Speaker: Shaving a donkey? It's unclear what he's talking about. You make it across the river, and you can head up the river, but you are out in the open. Ahead of you, you see the path that leads up over the wet rocks back into the cave behind the waterfall.
Speaker: All right. ah as Here's the place. Someone want to go in stealthily and look, or do we all just kind of storm the castle?
Speaker: It's awful dark in there. Almost dead, yes. Oh. Grad kill. Another one from last time, but there are more, I'm afraid.
Speaker: imagine by this point, it's not spell has expired. It's been just about an hour, so it's it's running out about now, yeah. But I meant the- you mean protection for and evil. Protection spell, yeah, that's- Yeah. Yeah, and we are getting, yeah probably near the end of the long story as well.
Speaker: If cave empty, maybe we stay in cave. Talonvor, rest, Miss Lily not looking good. I feel fine.
Speaker: I could go, could go all the way to Tiamilin back. Not that I'd want No, you stay here. Uh. I guess if the people who who can see in the dark would prefer not to go in, then we make light and we go in.
Speaker: Sounds good to me. All right. So who's going in? I'll go in. And Fred will go as well. I will cast light on my shield. As you touch it and whisper a word to Halia, your shield glows with the golden hues of the sea eagle.
Speaker: And it lights up the cave pretty well. As you remember, it's quite damp in here and wet. As you go into the cave, there are no people present, no obvious creatures. When you were here before, there was quite a bit of junk stashed back in there, including weapons, barrels, and bags of fey dust.
Speaker: this point, there is only one bag of what you presume is the fey dust still in there. There's a small crate that looks like may have apples in it. All the weapons are gone and everything else has been moved out.
Speaker: I guess this is what we need. Fred's going to poke through the ah stuff. Yeah, so it does look like a bag of the same sort of purplish powder. And just a small crate of apples are all that's left.
Speaker: Wow. All right. I guess Fred will pick up both of those things. Okay. time On principle. All right. As you come back out of the cave, Sharnanon is very curious.
Speaker: They go over to investigate the bag. Oh, I should have mentioned this earlier. Sharnanon's name tag has changed back. It now says Sharnanon, they, them again. Sharnanon looks at the bag and so sniffs it and says, Ah, this will do nicely. I can make an antidote from this. Ah, pretty quickly.
Speaker: I would need a mortar, a pestle perhaps to do this. I could do maybe 10 minutes if had these things. The sheep farm.
Speaker: You have to say, how far is Frithel's farm from here? Isn't it like 15, 20 minutes? Yeah, it's quite close. About 15, 20 minutes. And there's somewhere we could go, I think. is that okay? Or I do not want to upset Snot. He is still mad about the magic.
Speaker: Um, no, stay at sheep farm is good. Okay. Roof keep away, bloodhawk, crabbane, all that stuff. Oh, from Dundon.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, this guy gets it.
Speaker: Okay, so you cross back over the river. Snot take the lead? I think Snot probably has to for the most part because of the darkness and... Yeah. So you cross back over the river.
Speaker: Is Swiftoff handling it okay? Yeah. Swiftoff seems curious about this bag of dust, but trying to snuffle it. Snuff her, no snuffling.
Speaker: Trying to keep it away from her, or you going to let her have a have a hit there? Yeah, no. No thank you.
Speaker: All right. So you move quickly across the fields with the last remnants of Longstrider Lily. You're still feeling bad. You start to feel the stamina ebbing away from your legs as Snot's swampy magic starts to fade.
Speaker: And Talonvor is starting to look a little worse. Beware as well. Are they really falling behind? Okay. They're still with you. They're just starting to feel it more. Ahead of you, you see the ranch.
Speaker: Frotilda's Sheep Ranch. the The large barn outside and the ranch itself. There are no lights visible. Not that late. Early evening.
Speaker: It's been about two plus, two and a half hours since you left town at sunset, so it's about where you are. We just go barn. Maybe Fred talk to farm lady.
Speaker: Farm lady like Fred. Hell yeah, she she knows me. Uh-huh. Oh? She's telling the boy, like, oh, she knows you, Rabbie, eh?
Speaker: Not like I know you.
Speaker: All right, I think Fred is going to go up to the house and knock on the front door, i guess. Yeah, there's no reply. And the door swings open when you knock on it.
Speaker: Fred motions Lily to come up. What's going on I don't know. But, uh, the door's open. Where's Frumhilda?
Speaker: Is Stott and the donkey with everybody, or...? no he's he's getting it tied up at the barn. Okay. You do notice that the barn is empty. There are no sheep.
Speaker: I'll slowly walk into the house with my shield. Is it like she moved out? Is it like she was ransacked? It does not look ransacked. There's still furniture there, but it looks like one of the more valuable things are gone. So it doesn't look like somebody's living here.
Speaker: There's a little bit of dust. And on the counter, there's a sheet of paper with a rock on top of it. What? All right. Is it a letter? Can I read it? Yeah, it looks like a note.
Speaker: Is it in common? Yes, it is in common. I will read it out loud. The note says, Dear Fredegar, if you get this note, I have left with my family.
Speaker: It has become too dangerous here. I fear we cannot trust this mayor. I don't know why I'm in the Civil War. i
Speaker: I am taking my flock to Shepscott for now. I pray to Arden that may one day meet again. i don't know i don't know when I started talking like this.
Speaker: After this terrible war of northern aggression is over. This is how people talk when they write letters. P.S. I left a small jar of honey in the cupboard for your goblin.
Speaker: My darling Martha. It was to my great despair to read of your trials and travels.
Speaker: I too hope that the damn Yankees will see. I'm going to stop now. i was curious how long this could go, but...
Speaker: So yeah, it looks like Fra Tilda has left and moved out, at least for now. So the place is a bit abandoned. As Sharnanan is coming in Talonvor as well, you hear the cry of a hawk.
Speaker: Get. I'll grab them and pull them inside and shut the door. Snod, are you going inside as well or are you still out with by the barn? No, he's got Swift Hoof tied up inside the barn, and he's sort of sniffing and poking around to see if he can find traces of how recently the sheep were there.
Speaker: Looks like maybe two or three days. Can I turn off my light? Yeah. I don't want light shining off. Yeah, you have to clap, though. It's a clapper.
Speaker: Oh, it's like a fairy. I believe in fairies. Poof. Goes dark. So it's not, here's the the bird from the barn as well, right?
Speaker: Yes. Yeah. It's kind of a piercing cry. Sounds as if it has found its quarry.
Speaker: The light goes out. There is still moonlight shining in through the windows, so there's still, we'll say, dim light within the farmhouse. Sharnanon is going through the cupboards and looking for a mortar and pestle.
Speaker: It looks like they've found something. They've also found a little jar they're sniffing at. What is this? They left some food here. I think that's for Mr. Snot. Oh, well, Snot would not mind if i checked it out.
Speaker: Oh, dear. I think that he would. It might be poison. I should test it in first. Could you not? Fred's going to possession of the jar.
Speaker: He's charted on his frowning. Snot feels an inexplicable chill pit of his stomach. Somewhere honey in It would be brilliant if you could, you know, oh yes use that lovely purple dust.
Speaker: Give me a bit of the dust. So they'd get a bit of the dust and some other curious items from the cupboard, like a little bit of salt and some sugar and some cloves and spices. and They've got it all in the mortal pestle and are grinding away at it.
Speaker: I think this Snot is probably back. Okay, so leaving Swifthoof, he's going to go to the door of the barn, see if he can spot the Bloodhawk. Okay. And then he's going to dash across to the farmhouse.
Speaker: Yeah. ah Make a perception check. 17. Okay. seventy okay You are able to spot the Bloodhawk pretty easily. It's making lazy circles above you. And you kind of wait until it's circled around out of you and you can dash across.
Speaker: He's gonna swiftly come in the door. Fred, lady, sheeps are gone. Yes, uh, seems Hilda and her family have moved on.
Speaker: Oh, he walks up to Fred and pats him on the leg. Sorry, big guy. Well, I'm just glad she's all right. Oh, and she left this for you. Snot's eyes light up.
Speaker: You hand it across, he can already smell what's in there. Snot always like farm lady. He is going to, though he's drooling a little bit, licking his lips, he's going to tuck it into his pack.
Speaker: We might want to be prepared for company. That bird may have found us. Talonvor's shaking his head sadly. Look at this. My father's policies cause this kind of thing.
Speaker: People forced out of their homes. Can't afford basic food. This is what we're fighting against, Ravi. think this is the first of the Ravi references that Fred has actually shown some interest in What did you say your father was doing?
Speaker: Well, it's just taxation. i mean, it's ridiculous. And of course, my brother will just do the same thing once he's You know? But, uh... His brother. I just couldn't stand it. That's why. That's why I followed you.
Speaker: You know? We could do some good out here. Get money back to the people who need it. It's a small thing, but we could make a life for ourselves. Ravi, come on, I know.
Speaker: I told you this before. Before you... He pauses. His face gets kind of clouded. Wait. You... How... You
Speaker: You died.
Speaker: Um. I must be thinking of something else. Frid pats him on the shoulder. What's wrong with him? Sharnanon gives a little yip of excitement. Aha! I have made is the antidote.
Speaker: Lily, teleport. Mmm, yum yum.
Speaker: Oh good, yum yum. Here comes the train flying through the tunnel. Wait, my train does not fly. Yeah, Shardadon has like gotten up on a chair and has a spoon with a mysterious dust in it.
Speaker: It's like, hee-lee. Okay. Ooh, open your mouth. And Lily will walk over and ah. Swoop a spoon into your mouth, okay. okay It tastes awful.
Speaker: ah Ugh. Charonan's like, well, it's not too easy honey, so what can I do? Ugh. We already ate a piece of dirt. Thank you. how long will this take to help?
Speaker: Oh, I don't know. Okay. It's probably a okay. Okay. You feel different almost immediately, like the world is shifted. You feel better in a way, but you also feel like the colors of the world are a little sharper and a little stranger.
Speaker: But you don't feel as cold. You feel the warm breeze blowing against you from nowhere. very strange and unnerving sensation, but it's better than the way you were feeling before.
Speaker: Thank you, i think. I feel better. Shardanon is also given a seemingly a much larger dose to Talonvor. And he's blinking rapidly.
Speaker: Whoa, what is, whoa, where in blazes are we? Seems to be recovering himself a little bit. Ah, there's Sheep House. Uh.
Speaker: Ah, yes, Mr. Talonvor. We're just in a farmhouse by the caves. Right. Right, I remember now. I thought... I don't know, I was i was having a strange memory or something.
Speaker: But I... Yes, good job, Fredegar. All of you. Excellent. bo Yes, excellent. Excellent work. Snot leans over to Fredegar. You think?
Speaker: Five gold?
Speaker: Hell, maybe when we get them safely home. Snot's going to go over to the door and look out to see... If anything is coming our way.
Speaker: Okay. It's a little worried that we're going to have to defend this place or something. All right. Make a perception check. That is a natural 20 plus six.
Speaker: Okay. As you, I guess you open the door a little bit and just sort of peek outside. i was picturing the door not being closed since he came in, but yeah. Okay, I think the door probably swang, swang, swung shut on its own.
Speaker: Swingered. Got it. You go up to the the window and carefully peer outside. And after a moment, as your vision adjusts to the field outside where it's a bit brighter because of the moon.
Speaker: You see the trees at the edge of the fields on the other side, which would be to the east. There are figures moving in the trees. They seem to be spreading out. How many?
Speaker: Well, with a natural 20... Thank you. he You see at least eight figures. They are tall. You can't get a clear view of them, but you have a pretty good idea who these people are.
Speaker: And as you're watching, you see that bird come flying down. One of them has stepped a little out of the trees and raised their hand. And this beautiful hawk sweeping down lands on their outstretched arm.
Speaker: I'm going to scramble back towards the others. We need to run fast, very fast. Many elves coming.
Speaker: Elf or Fulmore?
Speaker: Fulmore. And he holds up eight fingers. Talonvor is looking at you. Eight of them, you say? Yes. Yes.
Speaker: He's been going through a closet that's near the door. He pulls out a short bow and a quiver of arrows. He adjusts the long sword on his hip. He says, all right, this is what I want you to do.
Speaker: Get your heads down. Don't make any noise. And don't open the door until I come back. Snot nods slowly. ah Are you sure that's wise, Mr. Talonvor?
Speaker: Coughs a little bit. ah Yes. You're not at your full strength, I would imagine. Well, if Snot, if our friend Snot counted true, it won't matter.
Speaker: This is not your fight. You are valiant, my friends. You are skilled. This one is beyond you. Allow me to do my job.
Speaker: Shardanon, please. Shardanon nods and pats Fred on the knee, gestures down like they want everyone to get down.
Speaker: They huddle down next to the table. Fred will very reluctantly huddle.
Speaker: so we need their big air table Why is this a good idea? oh no. Shardin on. Just looks at you says, Ah, Lily.
Speaker: It is okay. Talonvor is an epic hero. It's suicide. Maybe.
Speaker: Do you have anything to help? It is dangerous.
Speaker: I can help. I'm not at my best, but I can help. No, do not go outside. Is there anything you can do from here? I'll cast Bless.
Speaker: Okay. Who are you casting it on? Is Sharnanan going out there too? It does not seem so. Sharnanan is huddling down next to Fred.
Speaker: So Talonvor... I guess just... I mean, if he's the only one going out... As you call upon the power of Halea and Gesture, your there's a faint golden glow around Talonvor.
Speaker: He nods to you in acknowledgement. Sharnanan says, oh, me too. And they go over and cast Mending on his boot. Nice, nice.
Speaker: I can cast Divine Favor, but it's only a minute. I mean, that's ten rounds. He's not going to last that long Oh, it's self. I'm sorry. That's that's a me spell.
Speaker: You know, even though he could be using the spell slots on himself or a party, I think Snot is so moved, he is going to go over to Talonvor and say, Ah, Mr. Talonvor, you, ah, good luck.
Speaker: Ah, Snot will be thinking of you. And he is going to cast protection from evil and good on Talimphor as well.
Speaker: Okay. For protection from fey creatures. Excellent, yes. so And with that, you put your hands on either side of his head, and he gains a faint odor of the bog.
Speaker: He's like, oh, well, that's right. Okay. As you're casting these spells and doing that, he's also pleased to be casting a spell around the door and the entrances.
Speaker: ah There's really only the one door, but at the windows. He says, this is a simple alarm. If anyone comes through the door or the window, you will hear a ringing bell.
Speaker: Just be prepared in case they get past me. Is this a single story house, by the way? Yes. Okay.
Speaker: Snot's going to look... at the others. We run. If alarm. Yes?
Speaker: Yes. Run back to Mudbottle as fast as you can. Okay.
Speaker: Shared it on, Pokes. Fredegar. Fredegar, you cast something too.
Speaker: that's
Speaker: Everyone else has cast despair. I know some... just a teeny bit of verbal magic, but I don't think it's going to help here. This is disappointing.
Speaker: hey I suppose it is. ah well.
Speaker: Okay. Talonvor opens the door and slips outside, pulling the door shut silently behind him. Sharna and Anna is motioning to everyone to get down.
Speaker: Get fucky. Yeah, you don't have to tell. It's not twice. He is getting right out of you. Oh, he's down. He's he's down now.
Speaker: So, how do you know Frothilda? Well, she used to live on the farms. It was a long time ago. Oh. The farms on the wet side of the river?
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. Oh. On that sort of the damper side there. Was she damper? I'm not quite sure I know what you mean. Oh. Okay.
Speaker: And then she moved away from you? did. She got married. She had herself a couple of kids and moved out here. Although, Fred looks around at the empty house.
Speaker: Seems like things haven't gone so well for her. oh You hear a grunt from outside. Not close. oh Some words yelled in a strange tongue.
Speaker: It was kind of thump noise. You hear the thump. Something falling over.
Speaker: And it's quiet again. Snot is on the farthest side of the house from that. Sort of hit by a window that he could jump out of. Sharnadon is crawling over looking for Snot.
Speaker: Snot! Snot! Where is the honey? Do you have the honey? For a second I thought you said, where is the homie? Snot is not your homie! Where's my homie? What's good?
Speaker: yeah No, they appear to be looking for the honey. not It's not just going to try extra hard to hide then. if Make a stealth check. Okay.
Speaker: Oh, 11.
Speaker: You think that you've hidden yourself well as you've crawled around behind the kitchen counter. Then you see the eyes shining in the moonlight. Oh, no. Aha! Give the onee.
Speaker: Quiet. think it's pronounced onee. They crawl over on all fours as you try to shrink back from them.
Speaker: Snot is so concerned about the situation that he is going to dig the honey out of his pack again and just hand it over. Shardana does not take the whole thing. They have a spoon with them and they sort of dip it in.
Speaker: Spoon. All right. And pull it out. Mmm.
Speaker: Snot watches them with a sort of fascinated horror. Oh, were you saving these for later?
Speaker: No, you'll keep. So, Sharnan is going around to different people and just, I don't know, saying things to maybe... Being obnoxious.
Speaker: Distract people little Outside, you occasionally hear more cries from different sides of the clearing. More sounds. Briefly, the clash of steel, and then the guttural.
Speaker: I hear footsteps moving outside in the grass.
Speaker: Teladvar was being pretty quiet before. Yeah. Doesn't appear to be moving towards the door. Yeah, how is this? I assume I'd know if he died because Bless would go down. Yes.
Speaker: Well, that's an interesting point. And protection from evil. Yeah. And I haven't heard what seemed like the sound of Talonvor having his arms ripped off yet, right?
Speaker: No. Okay. Snot will stay as quiet and still as possible and hope that Sharnanon goes away. Sharnanon starts to crawl away from Snot, but then turns and holds up a card.
Speaker: It's the Seven of Clovers.
Speaker: Snot's going to... Give a very slow, confused sort of thumbs up. but Not know what the appropriate response to that is. Sharnanon giggles quietly to themselves.
Speaker: Crawls back around to over to where Lily is. Lily, are you okay? Do you feel better? I guess it depends on your definition of better.
Speaker: I mean, physically, yes. Psychologically, no. I don't like this at all. I mean, he's still alive. He's not dead. But... mean, we're just sitting here.
Speaker: You have given him the protection of your deity. Sometimes, you see, there are the epic heroes and then there are the irelings.
Speaker: And it is a difficult role, but they have their role and you have your role.
Speaker: Is this not what you imagined? No, I don't know what I imagined. I i i don't know. I don't want to think he died on my watch.
Speaker: I have seen friends fall in combat, but I do not think this is the time for Talonvor. He is like, on these type of quests, and the hero does not die at the beginning or is there would be no quest.
Speaker: yeah That makes sense. All right. but we We call plot armor.
Speaker: All right, sure. Well, there's a couple of legendary heroes, though, right? Not just the one. four is There are four of them, yes. But you're one of them, aren't you, Sharnanon?
Speaker: Oh, you're too kind.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: If you're not, you got some explaining. So... oh But you're here to babysit. No. You are not baby. Well, maybe it's not.
Speaker: It's like a little baby. So cute. Ah, yeah. Do we need to change his diaper? That's no all on you. Because you're the baby bear. Only if the alarm goes off.
Speaker: We all, even the epic heroes, have their roles, where some are good at some things and some are good at other things. And this is not... I am just a little person.
Speaker: How could I stand against these warriors? Would I give them magic tricks or cast mending upon their boots? No, this is not my role. When it is my time, you will know.
Speaker: So you you carry the luggage too? No, I'm little. Look at me. How much could I carry? Just a speck? That's a good point. I will carry the honey.
Speaker: You're going have some competition for that. Can I peek out a window? Yes. Make a perception check. Still at exhaustion?
Speaker: No, your exhaustion has faded. Natural 20. Woo! You look out, maybe the same window that Snot did. Looking out into the moonlit field, you see bodies.
Speaker: Large bodies lying, some of them by the woods, others in the center of the field, arrows protruding from most of them.
Speaker: You see movement to the north end of the field in the woods. A large creature is moving in a way that makes look like they are scared. They start moving back towards the forest and then out of the trees above them, an arrow flies down into their body and then a shape falls.
Speaker: You see brief flash of moonlight and a flash of steel. The creature falls to the ground. Not a sound. And the one who fell upon him fades back into the shadows.
Speaker: You do not see any more movement outside the moment.
Speaker: If I could revise my answer, I feel much better.
Speaker: Sharnanan can't see up to the window and is like, at your deck, really? What do you see? He's kicking butt. Of course. What did you expect? Well, we've never seen him fight before. He only put us in a swamp with a crocolesk and walked away.
Speaker: How were we supposed to know what he could do? Now we know. And I feel much better. He is like level 999, right? Oh, Gilderius, the Elven Deathlord.
Speaker: I do not think you should play this game with Talonvor. is very cheat.
Speaker: Cheat AF.
Speaker: Do not bet money.
Speaker: As you're saying this, you see a shape detach from the shadows moving towards you to Talonvor-sized shape. As he comes out into the light, you see it is indeed Talonvor. Flicks his longsword and something like blood flies off of it.
Speaker: He resheathes it. He's coming back over towards the house. Butter. Icing her. Frosting.
Speaker: He comes back up onto the porch. He is moving slowly, perhaps with a slight limp. Comes up to the door. You see him casting something briefly, and you feel fading of magic.
Speaker: He opens the door and steps inside. Well, I think we're clear now. Uh, wait. You're not dead.
Speaker: Not this time. Um, I mean, good, good. I checked on Swift Wolf. She's fine. Wow. Lily will kind of stand up and just clap.
Speaker: All right, all right. It's not winces when you do that. He looks a little ragged, like there's a clear cut across his sleeve. The outside of his left leg, there's like a dark stain on his leather trousers.
Speaker: Oh, my packet of soy sauce. He says, all right. Do you want to stay here or shall we head back to Mud Puddle now?
Speaker: There could be more, but I don't think they'll find us. We should go if more elf's coming. Fomor is coming. Great. Let's go.
Speaker: Mr. Talonvor hurt? A bit. Snot is going to speak a yeah ah healing word. Okay. Casting it at second level.
Speaker: 16 total. Oh, that's fantastic. Back to Talonborg. Yes, it is. Thank you. Do you want to describe how you cast it? Yeah, Snot rubs his hands together over the Swamp Lady token and then down the length of his nose and he places them on either side of the leg Talonvor was limping on. Swampity healing magic flows into Talonvor.
Speaker: Okay. A little bit of moss starts to grow on his um leg. sorry. Looks down at his leg. All right. I'm going to get that. Kind of flexes a little. Well, it does.
Speaker: Feels quite a bit better, actually. That's remarkable. Not so slow now. Sharnanan comes over to Snot and holds out the case of honey.
Speaker: Snot's gonna take it back and look in it. Is there still some left? Yeah, yeah, there's quite a bit left. Sharnanan didn't actually take that much. Snot's going to smile slightly and then scoot away with it.
Speaker: Okay. ah So Taladvor goes over and is getting everyone together, getting ready to leave. He steps next to Lily and gently places his hand on her shoulder.
Speaker: Celilia, I know it's hard. We all have our place. We all have our time. You will get there. One day will be you out there saving the day.
Speaker: Thank you. It definitely won't be snot.
Speaker: Are you still hurt or are you okay? I am fine now. Let's move quickly. Let's go. Okay. So, without further ado, everyone... Fine now, thanks to somebody who won't be named.
