00:01:19
Kim Fletcher
I'm good. Good. had a good day. I had one my friends over. She came over today to help me and Mama out. She helped us out today and barbecued.
00:01:30
Kim Fletcher
So good day. Just a resting day. A good day.
00:01:34
Tanya Ruttley
What did you bottle cue?
00:01:34
Kim Fletcher
Great day for myself.
00:01:36
Tanya Ruttley
What did you bottle cue?
00:01:38
Kim Fletcher
Um, pork chops, ribs, and a Boston butt.
00:01:42
Tanya Ruttley
Oh, OK, OK. What are your sides that you have
00:01:46
Kim Fletcher
Uh, baked beans and deviled eggs, potato salad.
Bike Riding and Fitness Plans
00:01:52
Kim Fletcher
Mm-hmm. I don't really eat pork like that. I'm not going to eat any the ribs and things, but, you know, the kids and moms, they eat it.
00:02:03
Kim Fletcher
I eat chicken.
00:02:06
Tanya Ruttley
Gotcha. I got you.
00:02:08
Kim Fletcher
i see I saw your picture. You sent it to me, your picture you're riding that bike. I was saying, uh-huh, he better follow that. I wasn't talking about like following you, like follow the leader.
00:02:18
Kim Fletcher
No, he better follow that bouncy bounce, that bouncy bounce.
00:02:20
Tanya Ruttley
Girl, and you are so, what is you talking about? You are
00:02:27
Kim Fletcher
That's why he's on that bike, following that bouncy bounce. Yeah.
00:02:31
Tanya Ruttley
so. Y'all ignore Kim.
00:02:34
Tanya Ruttley
She is crazy. don't know what she talking about.
00:02:41
Tanya Ruttley
I'm fine. um No complaints. Busy. I've got to go and fold some clothes, y'all. Once I get off the podcast, I'm going to go upstairs and but all these clothes were fold clothes and hang clothes.
00:02:58
Tanya Ruttley
And that'll be ending it for today.
00:03:00
Kim Fletcher
yeah, since we've been talking and you know, doing our 30-day challenge, do you think that your husband is riding from any of our conversations?
00:03:13
Kim Fletcher
Do you think he's, you know, want to ride with you from anybody?
00:03:18
Tanya Ruttley
Well, no, I mean, we used to work out together all the time anyway. And remember i told you we were supposed to get bikes together for that.
00:03:25
Tanya Ruttley
So just said, yeah, the bikes are here. So now we're rolling. That's all.
00:03:29
Kim Fletcher
So by you being on it and it's fluency to go ahead on. He won't. I want my bike. I want my bike so we can put together, huh?
00:03:37
Tanya Ruttley
I guess that's a way to look at it. I don't know.
00:03:40
Tanya Ruttley
yeah I suppose that's a way to look at it, but we had been in the works of talking about it for a long time.
00:03:47
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, but it happened. So.
00:03:49
Tanya Ruttley
Well, that was because my dad, look, with my baby. With my baby and then me getting the bike. So it's kind of like, okay, so. Yeah, because he go every morning, faithfully, to that gym.
00:04:00
Tanya Ruttley
And ah he does like seven miles. So he he loves to run, child.
00:04:08
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, so that's why I say some influence for him to rap on a ride on the rides is he go to the gym every morning.
00:04:16
Tanya Ruttley
I guess you could look at like influence. I guess don't see it that way, but I suppose.
Family Support Dynamics
00:04:20
Tanya Ruttley
It just depends on how you look at it.
00:04:24
Tanya Ruttley
memo But, girl, you almost forgot. Remember Coach, he jumped on and took my bike while we was on the podcast?
00:04:28
Tanya Ruttley
what do you I just thought about it. Remember when we was on the podcast um when I first got the bike and I was like, wait a minute, did he go on my bike and left and went riding?
00:04:39
Kim Fletcher
oh he did that's what i said you got your bike so he wanted to get his he wanted to go get his
00:04:39
Tanya Ruttley
but Yeah. I forgot about that.
00:04:46
Tanya Ruttley
He ain't got his yet. He ride my daughter's all bike. You know, my daughter taller than me, so he just grabbed her bike. Yeah, and went together.
00:04:52
Kim Fletcher
yeah yeah well that's that's why because he's deboled everybody's stuff
00:04:53
Tanya Ruttley
Mm-hmm. No, he ain't got his yet, child. My husband's nickname in the house is Debo.
00:05:00
Tanya Ruttley
He'll just take whatever else and go. Yeah, that's what i'm saying. Mm-mm. And my daughter, she want me a cup of time, child. It's a wrap. Well, I shouldn't say it's a wrap, but She don't like heels.
00:05:14
Tanya Ruttley
She's like walking is better. I'm like Taylor. What do you
00:05:17
Kim Fletcher
Yeah. Well, you know, we did speak about family support. So, you know, we wonder why family don't support, you know, certain things we do.
00:05:31
Tanya Ruttley
i mean? Hit me up.
00:05:32
Kim Fletcher
Or not just for us, just in general, questioning why family don't support each other, you know, 100%. Yeah.
00:05:41
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, I don't know what that's about. it seems like it's everywhere.
00:05:45
Tanya Ruttley
You know, you have some who do, but the majority, it's just always been a time. That's why Jesus mentioned it. You know, it's just always, it's the human nature in people for some reason or another.
00:05:56
Tanya Ruttley
Um, I really don't even know what, what it is, you know, as to the why, cause I think it could be different reasons, you know?
00:06:05
Tanya Ruttley
Um, but yeah, yeah, absolutely.
00:06:07
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, I think so. People don't support family members for certain reasons.
00:06:15
Tanya Ruttley
And friends.
00:06:17
Tanya Ruttley
And friends, you know.
00:06:17
Kim Fletcher
and And friends. and for
00:06:19
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. I think it's just when people look close to you, which I don't know. don't know what that's about. I remember my nephew, he was talking about, you know, he's been acting for a while.
00:06:33
Tanya Ruttley
and um And he was just noticing, too, I guess when he would
00:06:39
Tanya Ruttley
share something on social media, they wouldn't show share his stuff. I was talking about it, you know, and it's like, yeah, that's always been there. i don't I don't know what it is, but it's just something about people, but go well, child.
00:06:53
Kim Fletcher
You have to keep pushing because he kept pushing it and he still he was successful without any family doing anything for him.
00:07:01
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. Mm-hmm.
00:07:02
Kim Fletcher
okay So yeah, have to think about those type things sometimes. They come up, want to know like, or why.
00:07:13
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, because even like in my house, like even with the kids, you know, with the podcast and, you other stuff that I have going on, um you have onesies and twosies because people, yeah have they have different interests.
00:07:24
Tanya Ruttley
ah And do you, you know, put yourself aside for just a moment to support someone else? I think it can be done. oh But I do think the younger you are, the more you are into your own world.
00:07:37
Tanya Ruttley
Type thing, you know?
00:07:38
Kim Fletcher
So true. Yes.
00:07:39
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, yeah.
00:07:41
Kim Fletcher
You're learning and finding your way.
00:07:43
Tanya Ruttley
Yep. Absolutely. Absolutely.
00:07:45
Kim Fletcher
So the way. At that teenage years, baby, I am so glad that it's over because find your way before I help you. Because that teenage year, it was like you know nothing.
00:07:58
Kim Fletcher
Leave me alone. I'm in my room.
00:08:05
Tanya Ruttley
lee I'll be like, man. I mean, I am, you know, I got, I got few of y'all. I know a little something. So,
00:08:13
Kim Fletcher
But I think it's all teenagers. It's all teenage years. It's like we're learning, you know, they're learning themselves and that mother closeness, what they had, what we had when they were smaller. They don't um know.
00:08:34
Kim Fletcher
I'm a teenager.
00:08:36
Kim Fletcher
Why are you looking at me?
00:08:39
Tanya Ruttley
Oh, why are you looking at me? Well,
00:08:42
Kim Fletcher
You know, as this I'm just saying an example.
00:08:44
Tanya Ruttley
it's everything, huh?
00:08:45
Kim Fletcher
Yeah. What kind? Woo.
00:08:47
Tanya Ruttley
Just the simplest stuff.
00:08:50
Tanya Ruttley
Oh my gosh. o Yeah.
00:08:53
Kim Fletcher
yeah work kind wo yeah yeah right
Public Behavior and Relationship Frustrations
00:09:00
Tanya Ruttley
So you guys, we didn't have a topic for today. we were just going to come on here and just do our regular, um, conversating. Oh, you know what? did see something.
00:09:09
Tanya Ruttley
Um, girl, I just saw something on social media where guy was traveling, I guess with, it seems like with his, um, girlfriend and her, I know her mom, they said was sitting next to her and he was sitting in front of her girl. Why this fool on Tinder?
00:09:29
Tanya Ruttley
yet trying to meet up with someone for when they land and they got to fighting on the plane. And a man defended her because when she she got upset, you know, she shouldn't have reacted. She should have waited, I think, until she got to plane. But you can't honestly really, to be honest, tell us about how they should act because it's raw.
00:09:44
Tanya Ruttley
And so i she was trying like, I guess, hit at the phone, hit at him. I don't know. That joker actually swung to hit her. And some dude went on her defense and got to they got to fighting.
00:09:55
Tanya Ruttley
And even with the guy fighting for her, She did help the guy and she kept punching him, kept punching her boyfriend. Yeah. So it was just, it was so horrible. I was just like, this is what I'm talking about.
00:10:08
Tanya Ruttley
Why can't these guys do people? Why can't we do better as human beings? But there's, you know, there are so many different types of people that are here on the, on the planet and I get it.
00:10:20
Tanya Ruttley
But seeing that, I was just like, really dude?
00:10:23
Kim Fletcher
time. All the time. That's why we say it.
00:10:28
Tanya Ruttley
I mean, but to the point this girl's sitting in front of you and you know she's behind you.
00:10:32
Tanya Ruttley
You know she's behind you.
00:10:34
Tanya Ruttley
and That's like you just cheated in my face.
00:10:39
Tanya Ruttley
It's just so so sad. I just wish she could have composed herself. But, you know, I'm pretty sure she won't be. You know, they they talk about getting banned from flying. But I'm pretty sure, a probably like they were saying, just that airline.
00:10:50
Tanya Ruttley
Who knows? They might they might give her a pass, child. don't
00:10:54
Kim Fletcher
but lot of people can't. I don't know how the radio just came on just off it.
00:10:59
Tanya Ruttley
I can't hear you. Like you walked away. that again.
00:11:02
Kim Fletcher
I did, because my phone just started playing Pandora. ah
00:11:07
Kim Fletcher
I got talking about Pandora's box. These men.
00:11:13
Kim Fletcher
I guess that's why it's going off like that.
00:11:21
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. So I thought that was a a little sad and I was like, this is why. Some women do, you know, like we talk about, want to give up, but you just get so tired. But she did seem like she was probably like our age or something.
00:11:36
Tanya Ruttley
um But yeah, it was just like,
00:11:36
Kim Fletcher
They get tired. is the It's the tired trying to make men want us.
00:11:46
Kim Fletcher
You get tired.
00:11:46
Tanya Ruttley
Respectfully, because they want us to just want to be with us and do right.
00:11:48
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, yeah. Right. When? right
00:11:51
Tanya Ruttley
I think to not want us, but to do right by us is the type of thing that's Yeah, so it was just like, ugh. And I was like, man, so there wasn't anything that I could think of to even that I was going to talk about. But then that was something that I did see when I was sitting up underneath the dryer drying my hair.
00:12:09
Tanya Ruttley
And I was just like, ugh. And I think that might be the only time I got on social media today.
00:12:18
Tanya Ruttley
When I was sitting up underneath the dryer drying my hair and I caught that. Yeah, I don't think that I got on um any social media earlier today.
00:12:26
Tanya Ruttley
Because I ended up taking a nap before me my husband went um got on the bike. I ended up taking a nap. And then when I got back, of course, I got busy. So, yeah, just, I hadn't done anything.
00:12:37
Kim Fletcher
yes i Yeah. I did a
Family Outings and Dietary Choices
00:12:40
Kim Fletcher
little tick tock earlier, you know, this morning and a little bit this evening because I've been out side as they say, I've been outside all day.
00:12:51
Kim Fletcher
Yeah. But I have been on it doing a little sound, making sure it's seen, and you're seen, and I'm seen. I've still been on there. Still dedication to some things.
00:13:02
Kim Fletcher
You still have to be dedicated through your journey, throughout your day. You still have to be dedicated to the things that you say you're, um, that you, um,
00:13:16
Kim Fletcher
I'm looking at this one, I'm sorry. You have to be dedicated to the things that you say you are going to do.
00:13:24
Kim Fletcher
The things that you already put in place, already started.
00:13:29
Kim Fletcher
You have to be dedicated. If you don't be dedicated, it will never get done.
00:13:36
Tanya Ruttley
Agreed. Agreed. Which is why we're yeah this 30 day journey that Kim and I decided to do. um We're making sure that we show up. Is there anybody that's on? Is there anything that you guys have questions about, want to discuss?
00:13:53
Tanya Ruttley
I see our number. I see our number one here.
00:13:56
Kim Fletcher
ah yeah. just yeah ah you know I was like, OK, number one, we're going to be on talking about the upcoming school year.
00:13:57
Tanya Ruttley
will be sure to.
00:14:09
Kim Fletcher
What are you looking forward to? you know Have you learned anything?
00:14:14
Tanya Ruttley
Well, yeah, they are getting ready to start school where you are in a couple of weeks, huh?
00:14:19
Kim Fletcher
Have you learned anything over the summer? Did you play the entire time? Did you read? Were you on social media the entire summer? What did you do? What are you looking forward to?
00:14:29
Tanya Ruttley
Right, right. Mm-hmm.
00:14:33
Tanya Ruttley
So, yeah, our dinner was actually ordered. I didn't even cook dinner tonight. We were supposed to go as a family earlier for brunch and we didn't go, but we're going to go tomorrow morning early.
00:14:46
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, we're going to do it as a family because I don't even think we've been out to eat as a family since my dad's been living with me. Not out to eat.
00:14:52
Kim Fletcher
Oh, so aren't going as well?
00:14:55
Tanya Ruttley
Oh, yeah. Whole family. Yeah.
00:14:58
Kim Fletcher
That's family.
00:14:58
Tanya Ruttley
We should do that. Hmm.
00:15:01
Kim Fletcher
And that's what we need to get back to, the family just going out. Like we used to going out to eat family things, family a bit. If we could get back to that, maybe things can shift a little bit.
00:15:15
Tanya Ruttley
Hmm. What are you saying? You talking about immediate families are you talking about like cousins
Dietary Changes and Health Success
00:15:21
Kim Fletcher
You have families, like immediate family, like your family, like you're going out with your family today, you know, and your um outside family, like cousins. um I'm saying like the immediate family, people, like you said, you took a pause from going out to eat to the movies, you know, hanging out every now and then.
00:15:43
Kim Fletcher
You took a pause because, you know, we get so bogged down with everyday life, like trying to work or take care home, you just forget about those things, which is very important to do.
00:15:57
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, we still do movies all the time. It's just dinner we hadn't done probably before my boys. My last two had left to join a military, and they left, I think, March.
00:16:08
Tanya Ruttley
So it's been it's been a minute. We used to go out as a family all the time to eat. But, you know, the other piece of that is so unhealthy.
00:16:13
Kim Fletcher
don't even know.
00:16:15
Tanya Ruttley
You know, that's ah that's another reason why I pulled back from the order going out to eat. is The restaurants are the dieting. Yeah.
00:16:25
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. it Most of it is unhealthy. I recall when we were doing this huge vegan thing, we would go to like the vegan restaurant. girl
00:16:34
Tanya Ruttley
It wasn't cooked properly. no was a way to still be fattening.
00:16:40
Tanya Ruttley
You know, it's like everything. There's a way for it to be unhealthy.
00:16:43
Tanya Ruttley
Oh, that reminds me. um I had squash too out of the garden. had squash.
00:16:48
Tanya Ruttley
Um, bok choy, cilantro, green beans, hu um,
00:16:57
Tanya Ruttley
basil. Yeah. I got all that out the garden today. i had, I got two nice size squashes today. I meant to send you picture. forgot, girl.
00:17:04
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, so you are you saying you went vegan before?
00:17:07
Tanya Ruttley
No, did that years ago. Yeah. Like my baby, my baby, baby, he, um, he was first, like I used to make his milk. Yeah. He he was first vegan.
00:17:16
Kim Fletcher
So why did you stop and go back to me?
00:17:19
Tanya Ruttley
I just wanted to.
00:17:22
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. i don't I don't believe in anything being extrinsic, like ah that it has to be just one thing.
00:17:29
Tanya Ruttley
um I think it becomes moderation. So at least that's kind of what i I came into. Like when I helped reverse my dad's illnesses, what I did was um instead of having him on just fruit, we did all meat and we did all meats for Well, first I put him on the fruit and then we did all meats for like three months. And by that time he was already, you know, diabetes free, high blood pressure free.
00:17:56
Kim Fletcher
so So how did you do that? bru So when he first came, you just fruit, just like, what was it?
00:18:03
Tanya Ruttley
it was just grapes. It was just grapes and oranges.
00:18:06
Kim Fletcher
So was that breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
00:18:08
Tanya Ruttley
Two meals a day only.
00:18:10
Kim Fletcher
Two meals a day?
00:18:12
Tanya Ruttley
Just two meals, yeah. He fasted, so there was nothing for breakfast, and then he...
00:18:17
Tanya Ruttley
Either he would have it... So let me take this back. He would have breakfast at 10, so you're close to lunch, so it's like a brunch. And then he would have a second meal dinnertime, but it was just was just fruit, yes.
00:18:29
Tanya Ruttley
Now, I had him doing that on his own when he was...
00:18:29
Kim Fletcher
So I'm saying.
00:18:31
Tanya Ruttley
Before he moved with me, but he had other people living with him, and he wasn't able to... He was sticking to it for a while, but then he wasn't able to just stick to it, so he was still, you know... dick and um
00:18:43
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, that's what I'm trying to get my understanding. You're saying, so he had two meals a day, both meals were.
00:18:49
Tanya Ruttley
That's all he was eating is fruit. yeah but he almost just Yeah.
00:18:51
Kim Fletcher
Okay, that's what I'm, that's what I'm.
00:18:53
Tanya Ruttley
It was just fruit. And then after, that's what I'm about to say.
00:18:56
Kim Fletcher
For how many months?
00:18:58
Tanya Ruttley
After, um so he got here in November, we went to just meet in February, I think it was. March.
00:19:09
Tanya Ruttley
February or March. I can't remember. We switched to just eat
00:19:12
Kim Fletcher
So three to four months three to four months fruit and then three to four months meat.
00:19:17
Tanya Ruttley
So what I know. So what I was, um, so after just the fruit, I had a conversation. I said, look, I've been seeing something about, um, if we just do meat, I said, we can do it together. Let's see.
00:19:28
Tanya Ruttley
So he said, okay. So we did the meat for like three months. And, and I said, well, we can do this. We can eat seasonal. Let's try seasonal. So that way you're not permanently removing anything, um but you're rotating it based on seasons. Right.
00:19:45
Tanya Ruttley
So, which we would do fruit, meat, fruit, meat.
00:19:52
Tanya Ruttley
So, um but yeah, so now we're just waiting doctor go ahead and pull them off. She wanted see all his numbers for a few months and they're good. So yeah, he's he reversed it. But I had a girlfriend. I helped her reverse her diabetes as well.
00:20:03
Tanya Ruttley
All she did was straight fruit. That was just that. She didn't do anything else. um And that's been over a year now.
00:20:07
Kim Fletcher
So the so meat part, what were some of the meat
00:20:14
Tanya Ruttley
Any meat you want?
00:20:16
Tanya Ruttley
It's meat. okay It's just meat.
00:20:18
Tanya Ruttley
Stay away from those sides. He mostly did. I mostly gave him steak, eggs, and chicken. um
00:20:25
Kim Fletcher
Steak. And chicken.
00:20:28
Tanya Ruttley
What's the most of the meat?
00:20:28
Kim Fletcher
Still two meals a day.
00:20:31
Tanya Ruttley
Yep. And sometimes he actually, some days he was able to do 24-hour fast. where it was nothing but his water. I think i we only did that a couple times, you know, cause I want him to be diabetic free completely before we did that.
00:20:42
Tanya Ruttley
But yeah, that's why I tell people, know, Oh, I think he got, I can't, I'm not even tracking it anymore.
00:20:51
Tanya Ruttley
I think 60 something pounds at the time, maybe 70, maybe 70, something like that.
00:20:53
Kim Fletcher
a Wow. Yeah.
00:20:56
Tanya Ruttley
And, um, You know, so there's ways for people to get out here and reverse all this different stuff that's going on. But they got to have support.
00:21:04
Tanya Ruttley
they made they choose So I would sneak, right? Because don't have any health ailments. I'm 48. I have no health ailments. But so when I would sneak what I wanted, right, would run up, I would get it and go upstairs to my room. So he not to tempt him, right? But the other time I was right there with him and doing it.
00:21:18
Tanya Ruttley
So that's how I did. I didn't have it in his face. So he was oh, man. You know, because you're talking about 70 some years old. So that's 70 years of bad eating habits.
00:21:26
Tanya Ruttley
Um, so yeah, I just wanted to get him healthy. Um, because longevity, as you know, is on our side. Right. Um, so I just figured if we can get these illnesses, get them off this medication,
Natural Remedies and Health Mindset
00:21:40
Tanya Ruttley
it will help with the quality of his life.
00:21:43
Kim Fletcher
Mm-hmm. People, I'm just saying people, it can be done. He's 70 years old and reversed the sickness, the illness that he carried for years and years.
00:21:55
Kim Fletcher
Just because support and motivation of why you should change your diet.
00:22:07
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. I think my dad had been diabetic now.
00:22:10
Tanya Ruttley
I think maybe 20. My dad didn't get diagnosed until like 50.
00:22:17
Tanya Ruttley
Everybody else that I knew it was like 40, but my dad, it wasn't until like he was 50. Yeah. cause i want to say my mama already had it for 15 years. So maybe 55 before my dad ever got diagnosed like that. My dad even had, it's so crazy. At one point, remember they said he had congestive heart failure.
00:22:33
Tanya Ruttley
And then that was no longer there either. Because, you know, I've had him trying to do this, the fruit. It was mainly just the fruit for maybe two years off and on.
00:22:45
Tanya Ruttley
But yeah, they they couldn't even find congestive heart failure on him anymore.
00:22:49
Kim Fletcher
Did you clear you, you helped him to see and cleared him up with just natural natural things not even going to the doctor getting any weight loss pills or any kind of pills to help you to cut your appetite or anything just change your diet and stay dedicated to it
00:23:10
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. Yeah. One, one thing that I'm for is people using whatever they have to do temporarily to get better.
00:23:17
Kim Fletcher
mm-hmm mm-hmm
00:23:18
Tanya Ruttley
Um, so I don't knock the people who taking the different medications. Um, I just say, don't let them trick you into being on something permanently. If there is something out there that can give you a jumpstart and you are okay with doing it.
00:23:33
Tanya Ruttley
Okay. After that, What are you going to do? So I always say, because I have, you know, different people that I talk to change your diet while you're using whatever you're using. Start now.
00:23:44
Tanya Ruttley
It'll be easier for you. That way, when you transition your eating habit and I tell people, I'm not telling you to punish yourself. You may end up liking it and remove everything else. That's a personal choice. Right.
00:23:55
Tanya Ruttley
But what you want is for those numbers to change, then get off that medication and keep it rolling. So.
00:24:03
Kim Fletcher
What I see is people get the medication to use as the the quick fix. They use the medication as the quick fix and then they get off of it and can go back or i think they probably are still on it and eating whatever they want to eat but it's a quick fix.
00:24:23
Kim Fletcher
It's a quick fix. They use it for it. Like no one wants to like, auntie he went through the motions of months of this and months of that instead of let me get a quick fix.
00:24:38
Tanya Ruttley
So I don't know because I know some people who are taking pills and different stuff and they've been working out for years. um Eating what we call what I like to call the bodybuilder diet, which I try to tell people stop buying that hype. It makes your body look good on the outside, but you don't know what you're doing on the inside. So there are people who do work hard and it's still they're not successful.
00:24:59
Tanya Ruttley
So again, I'm okay with them doing something else um to assist, especially if you've already been trying for years, right?
00:25:08
Kim Fletcher
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
00:25:09
Tanya Ruttley
I have military buddies that got out and they still worked out and the weight just still came because, you know,
00:25:09
Kim Fletcher
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
00:25:17
Tanya Ruttley
the diet, the diet, the diet.
00:25:18
Kim Fletcher
next yeah yeah
00:25:21
Tanya Ruttley
And then it's hard. Um, everything starts in the brain. So I don't, I don't beat them up because it's, it's being, it's being proven that it, it really is something in the brain. That's why with the pills, it'll just something, just something mentally, but they got to take that extra step because if not, it will come back, you know?
00:25:40
Tanya Ruttley
So I just try to put that information out.
00:25:44
Kim Fletcher
the changing of the mind every day.
00:25:46
Tanya Ruttley
Absolutely. And I just try to put that information out as many people as I can. Girl, that was even on my vision wall, like board. I mean, like 2022, 2023, I put that down.
00:26:00
Tanya Ruttley
I was just like, I'm going to put this out to as many people. And my girlfriend, I remember when she, I had went home and I hadn't seen her in years. When I say years, I mean years.
00:26:11
Tanya Ruttley
And she said something told her when I was getting ready to leave to just say, What you been doing? You know? And so when she asked me and I told her, you know, how I live pretty much.
00:26:22
Tanya Ruttley
And she was like, okay. So then I was walking out door and something, and she said, something just tell her, right? Cause she's slim. I'm looking at her. She's the same way I remember her from high school.
00:26:33
Tanya Ruttley
And, um and then she told me she was diabetic and had been diabetic for 10 years, i think. And I'm looking like, well, she said, well, you don't know. I lost a whole bunch of weight.
00:26:47
Tanya Ruttley
I said, okay, because I'm looking at you. You're the same. And... I said so I'm go tell you what to do. And I said, well, what are your numbers? And she would not tell me her number. She was, you know, playing off like she couldn't remember. And she, you know, i did know she was not taking the medicine.
00:27:03
Tanya Ruttley
So I'm like, okay, when you talk about that long number of years and you're not taking medicine, we got to do something. So I told her what to do, which like I said, it was just the fruit and it was just grapes, not even oranges. It was just grapes.
00:27:17
Tanya Ruttley
So, and it was the grapes with the seeds. So, Fast forward, I get back home, and I think we're in week three. three So she said, okay, I'm going to go ahead and tell you. i wrote I wrote down my numbers the night you left, right?
00:27:32
Tanya Ruttley
And i'm gonna show you, girl, she had pretty much i had a stroke numbers.
00:27:39
Tanya Ruttley
And thank God, thank God, something told God told her. I say God told her, open your mouth.
00:27:45
Kim Fletcher
Yeah, open it.
00:27:46
Tanya Ruttley
And baby, them numbers, let me tell something. When she went to her doctor that month, Two, she told the doctor she was seeing another doctor.
00:27:57
Kim Fletcher
And you it. You do the doctor.
00:27:59
Tanya Ruttley
so um but Because the the doctor came he had circled her stuff and said, what in the world did you do? Yep. She was not diabetic anymore. She went in a pre-diabetic brain. And he said, um he asked her, what did you do?
00:28:11
Tanya Ruttley
She said, oh, i got friend that's a doctor. And editor he said, well, keep talking. So i said, girl, now wait. He said, that man, I'm a doctor. But she did it. And we' we're
Moderation and Healthful Living
00:28:20
Tanya Ruttley
a year removed. And um as a matter of fact, I hit her up and asked her how she was doing. And she said she had just did a first 72-hour water fast. could you know, do those periodically.
00:28:28
Tanya Ruttley
She had did a first 72-hour water fast.
00:28:30
Tanya Ruttley
She said at first she was nervous. But she did it. And she broke it with fruit. And I was like, girl, yes, honey. Yep. So people can do it They just got to make the choice. um And then no one, I'm not looking for perfection.
00:28:42
Tanya Ruttley
I'm just looking for you to change whatever illnesses you have. And then, you know, if there's something bad that you want to have, don't make it all the time. don't Don't make it all the time.
00:28:53
Tanya Ruttley
Eat something bad here and there. And the majority diet, keep that thing clean. And do your health fast.
00:29:01
Kim Fletcher
In moderation.
00:29:02
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, absolutely.
00:29:03
Kim Fletcher
Don't eat. If you want a chocolate chip cookie, eat one or two and don't eat the whole roll because you always don't even eat half the roll.
00:29:15
Tanya Ruttley
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
00:29:17
Tanya Ruttley
So it can be done.
00:29:18
Kim Fletcher
You can see.
00:29:19
Tanya Ruttley
It can be done.
00:29:20
Tanya Ruttley
It's just, and people just got to have someone that they trust to confide in because lot of times people don't want you to know they're sick, you know? um But I just thank God that um God told her to open her mouth and she did.
00:29:32
Tanya Ruttley
And I was, you know, I'm always open to people because, you know, i got five kids. So I'm always open to people to tell them what I'm doing to,
00:29:40
Tanya Ruttley
I ain't slim. Now, let me let me put that out there to all you guys. and now It's not that I'm a slim person, but I've never really had a big big stomach. I just got hips and butt, unfortunately, did get really big. but um But I'm healthy.
00:29:54
Tanya Ruttley
You know, I don't i don't have any ailments.
00:29:58
Kim Fletcher
yeah with the organ type thing i'm healthy but you know from the car accident the bone
00:29:58
Tanya Ruttley
And I thank God for that.
00:30:05
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah, that's totally different. Absolutely.
00:30:07
Kim Fletcher
back and so that's totally different but the other part like the the organs and the the blood and all that kind of stuff good but these bones and back and oh my goodness if you can just let that heal you know completely as you turn that around as you turn you know the inside that would be awesome yeah
00:30:30
Tanya Ruttley
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. So yeah, you guys, that's another thing. If you are interested in you sick or anything, I can tell you where to go because it ain't really me, but it's just information that I relay that I do know that works.
