Tensions over Hermione's Caution
00:00:00
Speaker
My least favorite thing about these chapters is the amount of times that Harry and Ron are mad at Hermione for this because Harry, my friend. I'm gonna need you to use just like an ounce of brain power every once in a while to realize that at this point in time, you and everyone else believe Sirius Black to be a mass murderer.
00:00:21
Speaker
And this broom might have come from him and he might be finishing off the job. But because you want a new broom, and it's the fancy broom you've been wanting, and you could win Quidditch with this, you don't want to give it up to check for safety?
00:00:36
Speaker
He's so lucky to be alive.

00:01:36
Speaker
Yes. Alright, so let's get into our currently reading.
00:01:41
Speaker
um I'm currently reading The Inmate by Freida McFadden. I just finished The Coworker yesterday and it was very, very good. So, we're back on a Freida McFadden kick, which I love Freida.
00:01:54
Speaker
If you've not read her books, definitely do. Carmen? I have not started it yet, but I am going to be starting Always You and Me by Dani Atkins. It's our book club book this month.
00:02:06
Speaker
um I've heard nothing but good things from the girls in the book club. Apparently it made several people cry, so I'm ready to be heard again. According to Alyssa, it made her cry at the end of the prologue, so that's concerning.
00:02:21
Speaker
um But yeah, that's where I'm at. Okie dokie. We will get on into today's discussion.
Harry's Hospitalization and Secrets
00:02:28
Speaker
and We start out with Chapter 10, The Marauder's Map.
00:02:33
Speaker
So Harry is in the hospital for the rest of the weekend. um We left off with him, you know, passing out from the Dementors on the Quidditch game. Falling 50 feet from the air.
00:02:48
Speaker
And his broom being destroyed. um So he is in the hospital for the rest of the weekend. He does not want to let anyone get rid of his broom pieces because he's mourning his broom.
00:03:00
Speaker
Oh, Harry. um Visitors come and go with different gifts. Hagrid sent him a plant. Jenny brings him a card that sings to him to get well. And apparently it's a very shrill.
00:03:12
Speaker
Love that. She blushed. as She gave it to him. um He hasn't told anybody about seeing the Grimm on the Quidditch pitch or in the bushes that night he fled the Dursleys. Not even Hermione and Ron know.
00:03:27
Speaker
He's seen it twice now, and he feels sick and humiliated whenever he thinks of the Dementors because he knows that Draco is going to be giving him a lot of crap. Um...
00:03:39
Speaker
He knows that the voice is Lily's now um because he heard a little bit more of it this last attack um and heard her pleading with Voldemort for Harry's life, which is just very sad, especially when you think about the fact that Lily and James were only 21. Yeah. Ay-yi-yi.
Confrontations and Gryffindor's Challenges
00:03:56
Speaker
yeah ah yeah um malfoy is apparently celebrating the gryffindors losing by mocking harry to everyone um snape takes 50 points from gryffindor when ron gets even with him in class one day what else is new um and professor lupin is back but he looks more ill than usual Bless him.
00:04:19
Speaker
The students complain to him about Snape, and he tells them they won't have to worry about doing the homework, to which you hear Hermione say, oh no, I've already finished it.
00:04:31
Speaker
Bless her heart. They are learning about hinky punks in Defense Against the Dark Arts, ah which lures people into bogs to kill them. Love that. Um, Lupin wants Harry to stay after class.
00:04:45
Speaker
When he does, he consoles Harry on the match and his broom, um, and tells him that they planted the Whomping Willow, which is what destroyed Harry's broom, uh, the year Lupin started Hogwarts.
00:05:00
Speaker
LOL. Wonder why um People dared others to get near it, but after an incident where a kid almost died, it was forbidden to go anywhere near the tree.
00:05:12
Speaker
you Once again, wonder why that happened.
00:05:19
Speaker
Harry says the Dementors are the reason he fell and wonders why they affect him so much. Lupin says it's because he has a darker past than other kids at school, and they drain peace and hope.
00:05:32
Speaker
He tells Lupin about hearing Lily, to which Lupin gets wider and nearly reaches for Harry, but hesitates. It's a very interesting moment.
00:05:43
Speaker
It's interesting that it's pointed out, and knowing what you know now, it's just like, ugh.
Gifts and the Marauder's Map
00:05:52
Speaker
Um, he does kind of live, give a little bit about Azkaban, uh, noting that it's on a tiny island in the middle of the sea. So Harry asks how the heck Sirius escaped and Lupin agrees to help Harry with anti-dementor lessons to throw him off that path.
00:06:11
Speaker
Everyone just gaslighting Harry this whole series. Yep. Like, you don't need know that. Uh, they do learn that the Gryffindors aren't completely out for the house cup. They just can't lose another match.
00:06:22
Speaker
No pressure. um Christmas is getting nearer and Hermione and Ron are staying to keep Harry company. They claim that that's not why, but Harry knows why. um Another Hogsmeade trip is coming up and Harry is sad he can't go.
00:06:37
Speaker
On the morning of the trip, Harry heads to the common room. He sees ah Hermione and Ron off and he's heading back upstairs when Fred and George summon him over to an empty classroom.
00:06:48
Speaker
They've decided to give him an early Christmas present, they tell him. They pull out some old parchment, and they decided he needed it more than they did. Harry is very confused as to why the heck he needs old parchment.
00:07:01
Speaker
And they reveal that they found it their first year while in Filch's office when they set off a dung bong which landed them in Filch's office. Of course.
00:07:12
Speaker
um One of the twins puts his wand to the paper and says, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. Ink spreads over the page and shows that it is called the Marauder's Map.
00:07:26
Speaker
Harry opens it up to see different figures, including Dumbledore pacing in his office. It also shows secret passages. Fred and George point out that there is a secret passage that goes to Hogsmeade,
00:07:38
Speaker
And he they tell Harry which ones Filch monitors. They tell him they don't need it anymore. They've memorized everywhere. They can get out of the school. um And they tell him that if he ever needs to hide it from another person to tap it and say mischief managed.
00:07:55
Speaker
Otherwise anyone could read it. just hear that scene in my head. um Harry remembers Arthur telling him not to trust anything when you can't see its brain and kind of worries about the map but shrugs it off and moves on with his life.
Hogsmeade Adventures and Sirius Black's Past
00:08:10
Speaker
yeah He's like whatever. He rushes to the passage that takes him to Hogsmeade, tucks the map away, and heads down the tunnels. He makes it in into Honeydukes and comes out of a trap door in the back of the shop.
00:08:23
Speaker
He sneaks out of the back and looks around the shop when he finds Ron and Hermione in a corner talking about what they should be bringing back Harry to the school. When Harry reveals himself, Hermione chastises him and Ron's amazed at how he got there.
00:08:37
Speaker
Then Ron turns on his heel and gets mad that Fred and George never showed him the map. blessed um hermione says sirius could use the map hello well that's funny thanks hermione for the foreshadowing um ron shows them a sign that says dementors are patrolling the streets after sundown so they couldn't possibly get harry in the middle of the day they gather their sweets pay for them and leave the shop and ron suggests going to three broomsticks for a butterbeer me too ron me freaking too
00:09:12
Speaker
um While there, they see Madame Rosmerita running the bar, and Ron offers to go get their drinks, clearly having crush on Madame Rosmerita. While they're sitting at their table enjoying their butterbeer, McGonagall, Flitwick, Hagrid, and Fudge all come in the door.
00:09:29
Speaker
Hermione uses a charm to move a Christmas tree in front of their table, since the teachers are heading straight towards the table right next to them. Of course they are. Fudge starts talking about Sirius Black and the portrait being torn by him in the castle.
00:09:45
Speaker
McGonagall mentions Sirius and James being BFFs at Hogwarts when they were kids, and Sirius was best man at James and Lily's wedding and godfather to Harry.
00:09:57
Speaker
The Potters knew Voldemort was after them, so they went into hiding. They used the Fidelius charm to have a secret keeper hide where Lily and James were. And it is noted that this charm, even if Voldemort was pressing his nose up against the window of the house that James and Lily were in, he wouldn't be able to see them. He'd have to find out where they are from the secret keeper.
00:10:18
Speaker
They do reveal... Revealed might be a strong word because it's not actually what happened, but they do suggest that Sirius was their secret keeper. LOL.
00:10:31
Speaker
um And that Albus Dumbledore offered to do it since he suspected someone in the inner circle was a traitor. Now, this to me was interesting because I... debt I honestly didn't remember that Albus offered to do it.
00:10:46
Speaker
Because I always wondered, why the heck is Albus Dumbledore not your secret keeper? He'd be my secret keeper. But why didn't they let him do it? know. It was crazy to me.
00:10:57
Speaker
I don't know. And i i this is the one book that I can never remember a lot of details from. So some of this is going to be a little bit of a refresh to me later on on why they chose Peter Pettigrew.
00:11:09
Speaker
Yeah, I don't know. It's been a minute. It's like, of all people, why would you choose Peter? Because if I had to pick somebody, Sirius would have been either Sirius or Dumbledore.
00:11:23
Speaker
There's a reason they don't pick Sirius, and I can't remember what it is. I can't remember either. Um... They... The teachers go on to reveal that Black betrayed them that night and told war Voldemort where they were.
00:11:37
Speaker
i think they didn't pick Sirius because it was gonna be obvious that it would be Sirius, so they chose Peter Pettigrew so it wouldn't be so obvious. Little did they know, Peter Pettigrew was literally Voldemort's best friend.
00:11:49
Speaker
Boo. Um... After they were killed, Sirius ran, um and he did show up that night and gave Hagrid his flying motorbike.
00:12:00
Speaker
He wanted to take Harry, but Hagrid said that he had to take him to his aunt and uncle, Albus Dumbledore um instructed, and so Sirius gave him the bike instead. And I have a note here, Dumbledore is the problem always.
00:12:13
Speaker
Yep. Because if they would have just let Sirius take Harry, we could have avoided all this. I don't know.
00:12:24
Speaker
I don't think Harry would be the same. I think he would be so James-like. He'd be so much worse. They'd be getting in trouble all the time. um Peter Pettigrew found Sirius that night and confronted him.
00:12:36
Speaker
um And the teachers go on to explain that Peter Pettigrew was a tag-along in the friend group. um That he, like, worshipped James Potter. um They do reveal that Peter Pettigrew is dead and that when he cornered Sirius that night, Sirius killed him.
00:12:53
Speaker
And afterwards, he laughed hysterically while only fragments of Peter remained. LOL. um Fudge saw Sirius before he escaped Azkaban.
00:13:05
Speaker
And when Fudge went to leave, Sirius asked if he could have his newspaper to do the crossword. And Fudge does point out that Sirius wasn't quite as mad as most people go in Azkaban. He still seemed pretty with it.
00:13:20
Speaker
um The teachers leave the three broomsticks and the trio is v lost for words. Dun, dun, dun. Lots of information in this chapter. Yes.
00:13:33
Speaker
um We go into chapter 11, the Firebolt. Harry travels back to Hogwarts in a foggy state. Hermione and Ron watch Harry nervously, not really saying anything.
00:13:45
Speaker
um When he goes up to the common room, he goes straight to his room and pulls out the photo album from Hagrid and finds a picture of his parents' wedding with Sirius in it. Harry goes to bed then and pretends to be asleep when Ron comes in.
Hagrid's Trials and Azkaban's Toll
00:14:00
Speaker
The common room is empty the next day, except for the trio. It's the first day of the holidays, Hermione reveals. Hermione tells him he mustn't go do anything stupid. And he tells them um what he hears whenever he sees the Dementors about his mom.
00:14:17
Speaker
um He does tell them that he wants revenge, and he doesn't blame anyone for wanting revenge against Sirius Black. Um, and Hermione and Ron are very much against that.
00:14:29
Speaker
Ron suggests going to visit Hagrid and Ron- and Harry says, that's a great idea. i want to question him about why he never told me all this. And then Ron's like, okay, nevermind. Maybe we shouldn't go see Hagrid because you're looking a little unhinged, buddy.
00:14:41
Speaker
Um, they decide to go anyways. And when they get there, nobody answers the door until they say, Hagrid, it's us. Hagrid comes to the door sobbing and is a wreck.
00:14:55
Speaker
um When the trio goes inside, Hagrid gives them a letter from the ministry that says Hagrid and Buckbeak are to report to the ministry to be questioned.
00:15:06
Speaker
um And they know that this is via Lucius Malfoy bringing it up to the ministry that there is a dangerous creature at Hogwarts and injured my son.
00:15:17
Speaker
Wah. um and hagrid does reveal that the committee for the disposal disposal of dangerous creatures are investigating his case and that they don't usually side for the animal to stay alive
00:15:36
Speaker
um They console Hagrid and agree to help him with his defense. Hagrid talks a little bit about his time in Azkaban, saying he felt very hollow and kept reliving his worst memories.
00:15:47
Speaker
um It's the next day, and the trio heads to the library for something to help Hagrid. um The castle's all decorated for Christmas, and they try and find something in the library, but can't quite find anything to help.
00:16:01
Speaker
Next, we have Christmas morning, and Ron and Harry open their presents.
Christmas Gifts and Firebolt Concerns
00:16:05
Speaker
They've got another sweater and some sweets from Molly, and Harry's got a new broom. The Firebolt with no card.
00:16:13
Speaker
Wow. Ron and Harry wonder who it's from. ra This part is what baffled me the most. Ron mentions it might be from Dumbledore, and Harry says that he wouldn't have spent money on him for something like this.
00:16:27
Speaker
Ron agrees because someone like Malfoy would see it as favoritism. And I noted, and he would be correct, because quite frankly, Albus Dumbledore already does that. He doesn't need to buy you a broom, Harry.
00:16:39
Speaker
You're already his favorite. Yep. Um, when they, when Hermione comes in, they show it to her and she seems very concerned about it. She thinks that Harry shouldn't ride it in case there's something wrong with it.
00:16:52
Speaker
Just then, Crookshank sleeps out of her arms and leaps for scabbers. Um, in the midst of the tussle, the sneak-a-scope falls out of one of Harry's socks and is going off wildly.
00:17:06
Speaker
Wonder why. um Ron and Hermione stay bad at each other, and Harry analyzes his brim some more. um They decide to go down to the Great Hall for Christmas lunch, and all of the students are sitting at one table since there is only 12 people staying.
00:17:24
Speaker
When Trelawney joins them, she fears the 13 people sitting together as the first one up will be the first one work for death. Minerva gives her some good ol' Minerva sass, saying, we'll risk it, please sit down.
00:17:38
Speaker
um They do reveal that Lupin's not going to join them. He is ill again. The trio is the first to stand and leave the table, and Trelawney freaks out about which one of them stood up first.
00:17:52
Speaker
um Hermione wants to stay to talk to Minerva, so Ron and Harry return to the dorms. They grab the broom and admire it some more. They were going to do some work on it, but realize there's no work to be done, so we'll just stare at it.
00:18:07
Speaker
Men in their cars, am I right? um Minerva and Hermione come in then, and Hermione shuffles off to a corner to conceal herself for what is about to happen.
00:18:20
Speaker
um Minerva does reveal that Hermione told her about the firebolt, and she's taking it to check it for jinxes since it didn't come with a note, and they're concerned about who it could have come from. Ron yells at Hermione and Hermione explains that they think Sirius sent him the broom.
00:18:36
Speaker
My least favorite thing about these chapters is the amount of times that Harry and Ron are mad at Hermione for this because Harry, my friend, I'm going need you to use just like an ounce of brain power every once in a while to realize that at this point in time, you and everyone else believe Sirius Black to be a mass murderer.
00:18:58
Speaker
And this broom might have come from him and he might be finishing off the job. But because you want a new broom and it's the fancy broom you've been wanting and you could win Quidditch with this, you don't want to give it up to check for safety?
00:19:13
Speaker
He's so lucky to be alive. My God.
Firebolt Tensions and Divination Woes
00:19:20
Speaker
Like, obviously, we as the readers know that Sirius is not Out to hurt Harry.
00:19:26
Speaker
But at this point in time, y'all don't know that. No. Hermione is 100% in the correct. Oh, yeah. She's always in the right.
00:19:37
Speaker
I want to shake her hand. Yeah. And Harry should, too. Be like, thank you for keeping Harry alive. God. um moving on to chapter 12 the patronus harry's favorite spell i have that in here harry knows hermione meant well but he's still angry at her why hermione has started avoiding them herself as she should
00:20:08
Speaker
Sorry. Sorry for the headphone users. um Wood is very concerned with Harry being out of Quidditch and wants him to figure out how to avoid the Dementors so they can win.
00:20:19
Speaker
Ron blurts out to Wood about the Firebolt and Wood says he'll talk to Minerva. He'll make her see sense. The comments that come back from him later are hilarious. Um, classes start back and Trelawney is teaching them palmistry and tells Harry he has a very short lifeline, the shortest she's ever seen.
00:20:39
Speaker
And to be fair, she's not wrong. No. Because he does...
00:20:45
Speaker
You know? Yeah. So, she's not wrong. um Lupin still looks ill in class. um he always looks He's always described as ill.
00:20:57
Speaker
He's ill-dill. Yep. Walking tuberculosis. Sorry, that was a little crossover there for you. um He tells Harry that he'll figure out what to do about his private lessons with him.
00:21:11
Speaker
Um, Hermione knows what's wrong with Lupin, but she will not tear tell Harry and Ron. Because Ron says something about, I wonder what's wrong with him. And Hermione just goes, and he goes, what?
00:21:25
Speaker
And she goes, nothing. And stands up and leaves. And he's like, she says she, or she knows what's happening to Lupin, but she won't tell us. At least she says she knows what's happening to him.
00:21:36
Speaker
No, she knows. Yeah. She is the smartest. As they say multiple times, she's the brightest witch of her age. She cannot be matched. She figured it out. She figured it out pretty quick.
00:21:50
Speaker
Ron doesn't believe that she actually knows what's going on. And Hermione. Harry Lee. I'm sorry.
Lupin and the Patronus Lessons
00:21:58
Speaker
Harry meets Lupin in his office later. Lupin has a boggart for them to practice on.
00:22:04
Speaker
He's going to teach him the Patronus charm. which conjures up a Patronus, which works as an anti-Dementor. It's a guardian that acts as a shield against them. The Patronus is a kind of positive force, a collection of the things Dementors feed upon, but there's no despair, so they can't fight it.
00:22:24
Speaker
Um, I think this is a, like, this is one of my favorite, like, elements of Harry Potter, is, like, that she made this a thing, like, the Patronus, like, it It has all the best parts of you, but none of the worst. So Dementors literally can't fight it. Like you're literally fighting despair and fear with hope and confidence and light in its like coolest form.
00:22:56
Speaker
Each Patronus is unique to the witch or wizard who conjures it up, um and he must summon up his happiest memory and say, Expecto Patronum. And I have the note, and he'll never use another spell again.
00:23:09
Speaker
Yes. Just this, and Expelliarmus, and occasionally Accio and Lumos. That's about it. That's his repertoire. He's got it.
00:23:21
Speaker
um Lupin releases the boggart and Harry tries the spell, thinking of his first time riding a broom. It doesn't work and Harry passes out. Lupin gives him a chocolate frog and Harry tells him the vision is getting worse and Lupin pales.
00:23:38
Speaker
Lupin tells him to pick a new memory and they try again. um Harry chooses when Gryffindor won the House Cup this time. You mean when, let me rephrase that. Harry chooses when Dumbledore rigged for Gryffindor to win the House Cup, and it doesn't work, and Harry passes out again. This time, he hears James telling Lily to run, and he'll buy her some time.
00:24:02
Speaker
So sad. He tells Lupin he gave um about hearing James and him giving Lily time to run for it. And Lupin tells him, reveals to Harry that him and James were friends at Hogwarts.
00:24:14
Speaker
Harry wants another go, and this time he envisions when he learned he was a wizard and got to leave the Dursleys. He doesn't pass out this time. He hears the sound of Lily, but it's not as loud, and a small light bursts from his wand.
00:24:30
Speaker
Lupin steps in and puts the ball group back in its case. Harry stumbles into a chair, exhausted, and Lupin congratulates him and gives him more chocolate and tells him same not same time next week.
00:24:44
Speaker
Honestly, let me perform the Patronus charm just so I can get all this chocolate that Lupin's given him. Exactly. He asks Lupin if he knew Sirius, um, and Lupin acts defensive.
00:24:57
Speaker
Here he leaves and eats the rest of his chocolate on the way. He knows he'll never be able to produce a full Patronus if he keeps wanting to hear his parents again, which is really sad, like...
00:25:09
Speaker
He kind of wants, doesn't want to fully fight the Dementors because it means he gets to hear his parents, but he's literally hearing their death, so it's so sad. um Harry only has one night awake to do his homework now between Quidditch and Lessons with Lupin.
00:25:24
Speaker
Hermione has loads of homework going on in the common room, and Ron is wondering how the heck Hermione is meeting all of her requirements for classes. He's hearing from other students that she's attending classes that take place at the same time.
00:25:38
Speaker
How the heck it is she doing it?
00:25:44
Speaker
She... Magic. She manages her time well. Magic. She's type A. Yep. Um... Oliver Wood comes in then and says Minerva thinks he's more concerned with Quidditch than with Harry's life.
00:26:00
Speaker
And we have the quote, just because I told her, I didn't care if it threw you off as long as you got the snitch first.
00:26:10
Speaker
Priorities, Minerva. Priorities. Oh my god. Oliver Wood is our number one fanatic. I don't care if it puts Harry's life in danger or even kills If he catches the snitch first, we're he catches snitch and we win the game, he gets away. goes out At least he died a hero.
00:26:28
Speaker
Um, he tells Harry he'll have to buy a new broom to be able to practice. Um, we jump forward a little bit to February and Harry still doesn't have his broom back. They still aren't speaking with Hermione and his lessons with Lupin are not improving.
00:26:43
Speaker
So all in all, not a great time going on for Harry. Um, he questions Minerva about the broom every chance he gets and she keeps telling him we're still doing tests. Um,
00:26:54
Speaker
His Patronus still isn't strong enough, but he's not passing out anymore in Lupin's lessons. And at the end of one particular lesson, Lupin gives him some butterbeer. Harry asks him what's under a Dementor's hood.
00:27:08
Speaker
And Lupin reveals that the only people who can answer... um are the people who can't answer us. They're the only people that know. Because it only lowers its hood to deliver the Dementor's kiss, which sucks your soul out of your body.
00:27:24
Speaker
You'll be a living, breathing person, but without a soul. So you have no feelings, no emotions, just nothing going on. It's like Soul of Sam. Yes.
00:27:35
Speaker
And he does say that they plan to deliver it to Sirius if they ever find him. Harry wants to tell Lupin about what he heard the teacher saying at three broomsticks, but realizes he can't because then he'd have to reveal that he snuck out.
00:27:48
Speaker
Um, I feel like this is an ongoing problem for Harry. Like, I would love to tell you about these things, but I can't. But it'll get me in trouble if I do. Um, he runs into McGonagall and once again asks about his broomstick.
Sirius Black's Threat and Missing Scabbers
00:28:02
Speaker
She returns it to him.
00:28:04
Speaker
and tells him to make sure that they win the match against Slytherin, because she's sick of hearing Severus talk smack to her. um Ron is bursting with excitement over him having the broom back, and they decide to make up with Hermione.
00:28:17
Speaker
On their way back to the common room, they run into Neville outside of the entrance, who is panicking because he wrote down the passwords, but now he's lost it and he can't get in He had told Sir Cadogan to tell him all the passwords for this week, because he could never remember them, but now he's lost his paper.
00:28:35
Speaker
Me with the hospital passwords. Honestly though, Neville, jeez Louise, buddy. You're literally... How is he still alive? He's house... Sirius gets in later.
00:28:50
Speaker
gosh. I don't even think later. I think that's what happens at the end of this chapter.
00:28:56
Speaker
Neville. But you know what? It's fine. Sirius isn't a killer, so we're good. um Harry and Ron give... They um they approach Hermione at a desk who is absolutely covered in homework.
00:29:14
Speaker
And Ron takes the broom upstairs and Harry sits with Hermione. He asks how she's getting through all the work. that she looks very tired and he notes that she looks worse than lupin which is saying something um and harry tells her that she should probably drop some classes just then someone one yells and ron comes running down with his shredded bed sheets that have blood on them he says scabbers is gone and he found tufts of orange fur on the floor next the sheet

don't know. We're getting bits and pieces, more and more pieces to the story of what happened that infamous night. anne we're starting to put the pieces together. Kind sort of. sorta And it it makes it more interesting.

And, you know. And more sad. i think the only so purpose that these chapters served were to make me angry with Harold. Because he's kind of dumb. Mm-hmm.
00:30:32
Speaker
Bless him. I think we learned a lot this chapter, though. Like, for real, we did learn a lot these chapters about, like, Patronus Charm, about Dementors, about Azkaban, about Sirius and his time at Hogwarts. This was, like, a big learning set of chapters.
00:30:48
Speaker
Oh, yeah. Lots of world building. Alright, so our question of the week um is, do you think Hermione was right in telling Professor McGonagall about Harry receiving the firebolt?
00:31:02
Speaker
Absolutely 100% correct. Yes. one I mean, I spoke about it earlier, but... She is literally, like, Harry is so lucky to be alive sometimes.
00:31:15
Speaker
Because if Sirius, I mean, we know that Sirius wasn't going to do anything. But, like, if Sirius was legitimately, if this was a gift from Voldemort.
00:31:28
Speaker
Bro. If this was a gift from Peter, like, knowing what we know now, if this was a gift from Peter Pettigrew. Bro. Like, wake up and smell...

The hostility towards your life. ah Exactly. He's so dumb. He's so dumb. He is the boy who lived, but honestly his new title- The who had no brain. His new title is The Boy Who Lived But Barely.

Speaker
Hashtag- Thanks, Hermione. Thanks, Herman. Thanks, Herman. I just can never get over it. Like, he's just so dumb. And Ron and from and eggs him on a lot because Ron's also kind of stupid. And they just, they bounce off of each other really well.
00:32:19
Speaker
And Hermione is such a great character because she balances them out. For every dumb thing they do, she's behind them doing the thing to fix it.
00:32:55
Speaker
She's the Remus of the friend group. Sadly, Neville's the Peter Predator group, but less evil. Yep. Poor Neville. Poor Neville.

Nothing changing on our Hogwarts house poll. We're still with Hufflepuff in the lead with four, two Gryffindor, two Ravenclaw, one Slytherin. And we really don't have to change that, Dumbledore. We can leave it just like that.

Wait. But yeah. Alright.

um We know these episodes jump around a lot. Like this one's a shorter one. I think last week was like an hour and a half. Yeah. The way before that was 30 minutes. We're just doing three chapters at a time. so it just depends on how much discussion comes with them.
00:33:48
