tommy cresta: Is your computer volume up?
Ryan: No.
tommy cresta: No. Oh.
Ryan: i mean that book
tommy cresta: soon as I thought I heard myself. um i
Ryan: think i good i
tommy cresta: I like... I really like...
Ryan: reallying like
tommy cresta: What's his name? Is Isaac again?
Ryan: isaac Yeah.
tommy cresta: Jeffrey Wright. That was the best scene was him with the Sarah fight.
Ryan: Jeffrey Wright. sarah Yeah, for sure.
tommy cresta: Yeah, true.
Ryan: Yeah. who
tommy cresta: Or the opening with him.
Ryan: those are
tommy cresta: i thought it was a really cool scene.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I did like how...
Ryan: I did like how it was like josh josh jump scared by Josh Peck.
tommy cresta: Josh Peck, baby. Peck, baby.
Ryan: Um, I literally, I was watching him with my dad and he was like, who's that guy?
tommy cresta: I literally... I was watching with my dad and he was like, who's that guy?
Ryan: I'm like, he's Isaac.
tommy cresta: I'm like, he's Isaac. I'll learn more about him later.
Ryan: You'll learn more about him later. i was like, who are those guys?
tommy cresta: it was like, who are those guys?
Ryan: I'm like, that's Josh Peck.
tommy cresta: I'm like, that's Josh Peck.
Ryan: What the fuck is Josh Peck doing?
tommy cresta: What the fuck is Josh Peck doing?
Ryan: like breaking dog Yeah, he wouldn't know that.
tommy cresta: What? He's like, Drake and Josh? Yeah. Great. What?
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: My dad loves Drake and Josh. I would.
Ryan: i well I didn't watch Nickelodeon.
tommy cresta: didn't watch and Josh.
Ryan: I wasn't allowed to.
tommy cresta: Oh, yeah. You were also younger.
Ryan: ah t tweet I was still in that age group though.
tommy cresta: was still that age. Kind of.
Ryan: Kind of. Yeah, no.
tommy cresta: Yeah, but you didn't watch Nickelodeon either, so that does make even harder.
Ryan: yeah no
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: um Yeah.
tommy cresta: It was funny how the scene where he's interrogating.
Ryan: It was funny how the the scene where he's interrogating, well, interrogating, the scar, and then it pans outside it's the same kid from the beginning.
tommy cresta: He's just going to beat the man. And then it pans outside. It's the same kid from the beginning.
Ryan: Has not aged 18 years.
tommy cresta: has not aged eighteen years since you're looking No.
Ryan: That dude looks exactly the same.
tommy cresta: He's like, the only difference is they had long, dark hair now.
Ryan: know play Yeah. They gave him a beard and they were like, that's 18 years worth of growth.
tommy cresta: give up I had a feeling, i least had the same when we were watching, I was like, all they're gonna do is give this guy a beard.
Ryan: um they Yeah.
tommy cresta: There's no way that kid's gonna age.
Ryan: so This is very funny. But yeah, that the only scar, right?
tommy cresta: um But yeah, that guy's name's Scar, right?
Ryan: The Sarah, like,
tommy cresta: The Seraphite?
Ryan: No, they call them Scars.
tommy cresta: but like call
Ryan: Oh, I thought he loved Scars.
tommy cresta: Oh, I thought he, oh, because they all have the Scar.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: I thought his name was Scar.
Ryan: I thought his name was Scars.
tommy cresta: And that's why the one guy's like, Scar deserved it.
Ryan: but No. no, no. The wolves call them Scars.
tommy cresta: So same. Yeah. Yeah, because I think of them as just their names.
Ryan: It's like derogatory. Yeah. just like the
tommy cresta: Yeah, just like they call them voters.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: begin But it's also easier to say, so I'm going to say that.
Ryan: But it's also easier to say, so I'm going to say that over Seraphites because I just remember it better.
tommy cresta: It was airtight. Yeah. But they're not people.
Ryan: But they're not real. I'm not insulting anybody.
tommy cresta: I'm not insulting you.
Ryan: When he grabs it and he's explaining it, I'm like, oh, was like, I got little freaked out by
tommy cresta: Dude, that's that's when he grabs the pan, he's explaining it. i was like, oh. Sam got little freaked out by my words.
Ryan: my words but i was like was like actually i was thinking about it's actually pretty good interrogation since doesn't hold the heat too long they know they're burning them but you won't kill them or hurt them on the target third degree burn it was pretty cool when the he's just getting it up and the guy just puts his hand out he's like fuck he's not gonna say shit yeah
tommy cresta: But I was like, like actually, i like if you think about it, it's actually pretty good interrogation tool since it doesn't hold the heat for too long. They know they're burning them, but it won't kill them or hurt them long enough to probably get a third degree burn. but It was pretty cool.
tommy cresta: just getting
tommy cresta: yeah He walks up to him and shoots him in the face.
Ryan: you might not think that's what i was going no um
tommy cresta: You know, that dude did not think that's where that was going. He was like, yeah, I got him.
Ryan: and not him
tommy cresta: ah
Ryan: right
tommy cresta: um But I liked... Dude,
Ryan: god damn it
tommy cresta: why is he?
Ryan: I really like colorant and Venus
tommy cresta: Yo.
tommy cresta: Okay, then I'll...
Ryan: chemistry.
tommy cresta: I'll be back with three.
Ryan: ask
tommy cresta: All right, see ya.
Ryan: wass it got
tommy cresta: Guy that used to serve in the army with.
Ryan: yeah there don bru i can navigat
tommy cresta: I was like, yeah, I'm going to it. He said, I can't tell you then. was like, okay. um What was I saying?
Ryan: oh
tommy cresta: Oh, ie I really like Bella Ramsey and Dina's chemistry.
Ryan: ay i fully like color d I think the chemistry is fine.
tommy cresta: think the chemistry is fine.
Ryan: i won't I just want more...
tommy cresta: I just want more misery.
Ryan: Misery?
tommy cresta: Yeah, like they seem way too happy, which I think they're also setting up.
Ryan: Yeah. Which I think they're also standing up. I think so.
tommy cresta: I think so. That's happy, and then it's going to really take a dive.
Ryan: that's happy and that's what really not Yeah. but i also see
tommy cresta: But I like the scene when they when she has the gun named her and everything.
Ryan: just that the
Ryan: Yeah, I thought it was all right.
tommy cresta: Yeah, we talked about
Ryan: um I will say, last night, we we talked about it last time. we were gonna I was going to replay the game. I did replay day one in the game. So i I replayed just this episode. I forgot, and just because I played the game a year ago and just kind of forgot because I wasn't paying attention to the show.
tommy cresta: forgot just because i played the game a year ago just kind of cause i was paying attention to the show
Ryan: I forgot Tommy goes to Seattle first.
tommy cresta: ah forgot tommy
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: And they're kind of tracking.
tommy cresta: yeah we talked about on the i said their lice episode
Ryan: Yeah, I must have just misheard. But yeah.
tommy cresta: yeah he good cause that's why they go yeah they don't go to kill abby
Ryan: good cause that's what they Yeah, they're tracking him. they good
tommy cresta: they go to get well
Ryan: They do, but Dina doesn't.
tommy cresta: thank you They do, That's not why they're told to go. They're told to go get Tommy back.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Now, I think...
Ryan: now i think that's why i sat times show up
tommy cresta: That's why I said I think Tommy's going to show up and save Ellie.
Ryan: and see Yeah, I'm sure he will at some point.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I'm sure he Because they're go I feel like they're gonna change um the Abby and Ellie meeting. How they meet for the first time in Seattle.
Ryan: telling Yeah, yeah, yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I think that's going to change until Tommy shows up. Well, they already changed bunch because that first thing in the game, two of the squad members, two of Abby's people died.
Ryan: Well, they already changed the bunch because that first day in the game, two of the squad members, two of Abby's people die. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: But in the show, they haven't gotten...
tommy cresta: But in show... I think that's all gonna be one one bit.
Ryan: one one ah Yeah, I bet they're going to contain it, which, I don't know.
tommy cresta: yeah but Like, they're all gonna be too like i think they're all gonna be together.
Ryan: like i think all
tommy cresta: And she's gonna do it. yeah kind of i just want i just want
Ryan: Yeah, which is kind of disappointing. I don't know things one ah just not get
tommy cresta: I just want them to get, like... feel they need to get going on more of the but actual, like, revenge part of the story.
Ryan: know. Absolutely. remain Yeah, especially this season is, there's three episodes left.
tommy cresta: like especially this It feels... but isn't the last episode like an hour and a half?
Ryan: It's seven episodes. I double checked. now I mean, it fucking better be.
tommy cresta: i mean With Gen V.
Ryan: It's going to be 45 minutes, like but like we were talking about last time.
tommy cresta: it's gonna be forty five like i recall which enva
Ryan: The finale is always short. It makes no fucking sense.
tommy cresta: Genvys was so aggravating.
Ryan: so Yeah. But, um yeah, I don't know.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I don't know.
Ryan: i just i After replaying the game, just the same part of the game as the episode, the game is significantly better.
tommy cresta: After replaying the game, the game is significantly better.
Ryan: Like, even the part you were saying with Ellie and Dina, like the part where they're talking and then they hook up and then it's like very happy and cheery.
tommy cresta: The part you were saying with Ellie and Mia, the part where they're talking and then they hook up and it's like very happy and cheery.
tommy cresta: In the game, Dina says she's pregnant and then just passes out from exhaustion.
Ryan: In the game, Dina says she's pregnant and then just like passes out from exhaustion. And it's like, fuck.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because they hooked up earlier in the game.
Ryan: Yeah, they did.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: So I understand you needed to put that somewhere.
tommy cresta: Yeah, they did. So I think they they were just trying still trying to get back to that point.
Ryan: trying get Yeah. but they were talking but because add jackson fight
tommy cresta: but they were trying But because of the adding the Jackson fight, they needed to delay that
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. And again, changing it up from ah Tommy being with Joel to Dina being with Joel. It's kind of... It changes...
tommy cresta: Maybe you won't get the ghost of Seattle.
Ryan: yeah Maybe. That would be...
tommy cresta: No, because even if I wasn't there and someone killed my brother, I would still want to murder of that human being.
Ryan: Even if I wasn't there and someone killed my brother, would still want to murder that. mean, he's got to go. Like, it's a pretty important part of the story.
tommy cresta: It's a pretty important part of the story. like
Ryan: Like, if he's not there, then what's Abby going to do when we get to her side of the story?
tommy cresta: If he's not there, it's sad that do it if we get other of the story.
Ryan: You know what I mean?
tommy cresta: Especially because so Neil Druckmann said the continuation of the story follows and Tommy more than any anyone.
Ryan: Because Neil Drummond said the continuation of the story follows ton of than anything. so we need this
tommy cresta: So we need to see this all happen with him.
Ryan: is all Yeah, it has to happen.
tommy cresta: Especially if they are going to push this past the game, which i I am starting to think that you're right on that because of how the slow this is moving.
Ryan: Especially with how well the show does. Yeah, you don't get Jeffrey right for like two scenes like mean, Isaac's barely character.
tommy cresta: Maybe they are trying to push it out. Like, They want to go past the game, so they're not trying to they don't want to be stuck to like three seasons.
Ryan: go game yeah they don't want to be suck thirty
tommy cresta: They want to be able to like have like freedom to do new stuff.
Ryan: bit like having like freedom to try do minutes
tommy cresta: and especially
Ryan: especially with how well the show does i mean
tommy cresta: And Isaac's going to have a way bigger part in this story.
Ryan: way real
tommy cresta: Yeah, you don't have to a character, right?
Ryan: yeah you don't get jeffrey right for like two scenes like the game
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: i mean isaac
tommy cresta: Isaac's a character.
Ryan: barely a character
tommy cresta: I'm excited to see more of the sacrifice, though.
Ryan: I'm excited to see more of this episode though. I liked seeing when Ellie was filmed like the movie.
tommy cresta: I like the scene when Ellie and Dina kill the two guys. It felt... it Lay was filmed like the video game.
Ryan: They had the sound effect too when she got spotted.
tommy cresta: Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: They were really just slowly.
tommy cresta: Because you kids they were laid just slowly.
Ryan: that
tommy cresta: that
Ryan: There's no game I swear to you.
tommy cresta: There's no game I swear that you're crouched more in than The Last of Us.
Ryan: Oh yeah. and mean Just listening.
tommy cresta: I mean, you're walking the entire game in the crab walk.
Ryan: hi yeah It is funny. But yeah I think this episode was kind of seasons besides episode 2.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I think this episode is kind of... Season besides episode two.
Ryan: and it great
tommy cresta: Episode two is great.
Ryan: Yeah, it was.
tommy cresta: But I agree.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: One has been way better than two has as far.
Ryan: One has been way better than two. Now, I'm assuming two could jump up to the quality these next three episodes, follow close enough to where the game, I feel like the game needs to get there.
tommy cresta: Now, I have a feeling two could jump up to the quality if these next three episodes follow... Close enough to the where the game, i feel like the game needs to get to. Like, to the point in the game where i feel like you can end the first season.
Ryan: Yeah. point the game rights Yeah. I mean, it's really like Seattle in the game takes three days.
tommy cresta: It's really like, Seattle, any game takes three days.
Ryan: So we just had day one and then episode five and six could be two and three.
tommy cresta: So one of them. Episode five and six could be two and three.
Ryan: And then seven could be, you know, like the middle point in the game, which think people know about.
tommy cresta: And then seven could be, you know. I feel like it's... a little more of the game you will know I feel like when you switch to Abby's point, will be the beginning of the next season.
Ryan: People played it. Yeah, for sure. Definitely. ah yeah for sure
tommy cresta: ah Yeah, for sure.
Ryan: it's definitely
tommy cresta: I feel like that's where you have to end off that leads into them.
Ryan: Yeah. And especially if you were right when they're they're making season three, eight or nine episodes, then that would make sense because you do Abby's story the same length as Ellie's has been this season and then go back.
tommy cresta: And especially if you were right...
tommy cresta: happy story the same like these And then you end with ah least part of the story.
Ryan: and Yeah. Yeah, that would make sense.
tommy cresta: yeah I love the end of the second game. Like, I don't like... i know we Oh, I would have...
Ryan: I know you would have shot her.
tommy cresta: No, I would have tortured No.
Ryan: you would Yeah, I know you would have killed the kid too. always forget. I always forget their name. um Yeah, you would. You would have drowned him in that boat.
tommy cresta: round you Did you shoot the baby in Modern Warfare?
Ryan: Did you shoot the baby in my water? Oh.
tommy cresta: Did you?
Ryan: No. I remember when I was watching one of some YouTube videos and he was like, no way, do that.
tommy cresta: I remember I was watching and some YouTube player and he was like, no way they let me do this. He shoots and cuts to, are you serious?
Ryan: Are you serious? One of the greatest movies in missions have ever.
tommy cresta: One of the greatest video game missions ever.
Ryan: Yeah, it was good. Me, you're familiar.
tommy cresta: Mediocre game.
Ryan: wait
tommy cresta: Wait.
Ryan: No, the first one's good.
tommy cresta: No, that's the first one.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: No, that one's good.
Ryan: And then they just fell off a cliff.
tommy cresta: Second one's ass.
Ryan: mu
tommy cresta: Won't even watch. point Won't play the third one.
Ryan: Third one is third one oh i do put that so fucking bad.
tommy cresta: Third one? Oh, I did play the third one a little bit.
Ryan: it is leo where're Yeah.
tommy cresta: It is Lee, a Warzone map. Terrible.
Ryan: terrible It's horrible.
tommy cresta: I hate the open map.
Ryan: No.
tommy cresta: I like how they did in Black Ops, though.
Ryan: And they don't even... I didn't it, so don't know.
tommy cresta: The new Black Ops.
Ryan: I got you. Yeah. didn't buy it so i don't know
tommy cresta: They made it, and like, it's still open, but there's, like, open, but there's three ways to do it.
Ryan: like it's built open but they're so open but there's three
tommy cresta: You you all end up in the same location.
Ryan: yeah i gotcha
tommy cresta: It's not this one where you can Lego wherever you
Ryan: it's not this week Yeah, Modern Warfare, you could go anywhere, but it was the laziest. like you can get Like, they didn't make it interesting at all. They said, like, all map bigger. Have fun. Map bigger.
tommy cresta: Met bigger, less enemy.
Ryan: That's it. Yeah.
tommy cresta: um
Ryan: But, yeah, I think, I will say Isabella and Macad.
tommy cresta: But yeah, I think, i've I will say, Isabella... Marcad?
Ryan: Yeah, I think. Perfect choice is Dina.
tommy cresta: Perfect choices, Dina.
Ryan: Dora. Dora.
tommy cresta: Dora. Yes, Dora. Love her as, my god, I almost spoiled it for saying that she got pregnant that she was pregnant.
Ryan: love her and oh my god i' spoil ands for but
tommy cresta: Really?
Ryan: really ah like
tommy cresta: ah like I was like, um it's when she throws up again.
Ryan: when she throws up again probably all that's ah that's
tommy cresta: was like, oh, that's ah that's a pregnancy.
Ryan: i this
tommy cresta: And Sally looked at me, I was like, i was like oh, cause she gets an alien Romulus.
Ryan: and so council ah like oh she Nice. Good catch. Good job. Yeah. Oh, she's great.
tommy cresta: She gives birth to one of the Xenomorphs.
Ryan: For sure. Yeah.
tommy cresta: She was like, oh, she's an alien Romulus.
Ryan: forgot she's Hawker. Yeah. I'm so excited for that.
tommy cresta: And it got her off of the whole thought.
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
tommy cresta: And then like she was like, she's pregnant?
Ryan: rain
tommy cresta: I was like, yeah, I spoiled it earlier.
Ryan: exploded there
tommy cresta: I just had to think on the i'll think on my feet really quick.
Ryan: take fucking of my view yeah
tommy cresta: But I really like her as an actress.
Ryan: yeah i really like oh she's great sure yeah yeah yeah
tommy cresta: Yeah, i mean, she has Superman coming out.
Ryan: she's supering i forgot she's called girl yeah
tommy cresta: She's Hulk girl. Hulk girl looks awesome, first off.
Ryan: fucker looks awesome first off i'm so excited
tommy cresta: I'm so excited for that.
Ryan: wish to assume
tommy cresta: Wish the suit was more armor than it is like the jacket and stuff.
Ryan: armor they like the japanese Yeah.
tommy cresta: But she's got the
Ryan: She's got the mace. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
tommy cresta: The mace and the helmet. Oh, that's all i need.
Ryan: Looks good.
tommy cresta: Guy Gardner's looking like an idiot like always.
Ryan: giggling like um Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah, I think it's got to get miserable soon because that second game is just so miserable, and that's kind of what makes the story so good, so, like, powerful.
tommy cresta: Yeah, think it's got to get miserable soon because that second game is just so miserable. Oh, there's no happiness in that game. It makes the story so good, so powerful, but this season has not...
Ryan: But this season has not โ I don't know.
tommy cresta: I don't know.
Ryan: It just hasn't really gotten there.
tommy cresta: I'm so lost on where the game is at this point.
Ryan: lost in the game. I mean, they're they're basically, they they literally just finished exactly where day one ends in the game.
tommy cresta: I mean, they're they're basically, they they literally just finished exactly where they want. Yeah, when you figure out where you need to go. Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah, like they get to the theater and they sleep and then whatever.
tommy cresta: don't think it will be.
Ryan: um So next episode we're going to get, well, I mean, I don't want to spoil it totally, but Joel should be coming back for a flashback.
tommy cresta: I have, like, so
tommy cresta: yeah should be
Ryan: It should be the dinosaur astronaut flashback. If it's the entire episode, think he's going to have like,
tommy cresta: if it's and i don't think it will be i think he's goingnna have like
Ryan: i think not the rest of the season
tommy cresta: I think throughout the rest of the season, we'll have like 15 minutes of screen time in total.
Ryan: have like fifteen minutes Maybe. Because this is the one, I didn't watch the trailer for next week.
tommy cresta: this is the one i didn't watch the trail I did.
Ryan: So I don't know. It didn't seem like...
tommy cresta: It didn't seem like there was a lot going on.
Ryan: There was a lot going on.
tommy cresta: You seem like you're going see like some of the battle.
Ryan: It's not going to be like... um yeah It's not going to be like last season where they had the entire um Left Behind whatever DLC with Riley.
tommy cresta: Yeah. Well, because remember, we thought of, I mean, it was a random episode to do.
Ryan: Like the backstory when she got bit. Made it a whole episode that just killed the fucking pacing. That was horrible.
tommy cresta: well no
Ryan: Well, Because remember, we probably...
tommy cresta: cause remember we thought of i mean it was a random absolute to do
Ryan: I mean, it was a random episode to do.
tommy cresta: But thank God the show still had time to do what they needed to do.
Ryan: But thank God that they stole had time to do no yeah i'm still yeah i'm glad they had that episode nine it was nine yeah so they took google nine episodes to just do stories that had nothing to do with old group watching that is true and then they rushed the finale a little bit oh it was the best episode of the show yeah yeah but then the finale they rushed a little bit which kind sucked
tommy cresta: yeah Because they took two episodes, which is crazy you think about it. They just took two of the episodes. It was the eight episodes, right? Nine. It was nine last season? Yeah. So they took two of their nine episodes to just do stories had nothing to do with what we were watching.
tommy cresta: That's true. And the Frankenbell one was the best best episode of the show. So good. I think it's my second favorite now. I think the episode two beat it. What happened in the fight?
tommy cresta: yeah.
Ryan: yeah because the fight is just like like a montage you know plus a fight so much fun yeah you can't control anything yeah you think they do it or do you think they just do the show
tommy cresta: Because we said we wished the fight was longer. The fight is just like montage. It's so much fun, the game. where you get Until you actually pick up the AR, and you're like oh this is so much fun. And then you shoot it, your and your circle goes up to the ceiling.
tommy cresta: And you're like, wow, I can't hit it for shit. Dude, that's such a good game.
Ryan: that' yeah
tommy cresta: Do you think they'd ever do...
Ryan: think they
tommy cresta: Do you think they'd do a third game ever?
Ryan: think they do with their
tommy cresta: Or think it'd end?
Ryan: think just the show I mean, if Neil Druckmann can figure out a story, then I don't um't see why not.
tommy cresta: They'd just do the show instead? mean, if Neil Druckmann figured out story, I don't see why not. People are going to buy it.
Ryan: i mean, people are going to buy it. But also, Druckmann ends both games.
tommy cresta: But also... Oh, yeah, like, the first game could end where you...
Ryan: Like, both games end with an ending. Like... but yeah first yeah.
tommy cresta: with It's not cliffhanger.
Ryan: The first game could just stop.
tommy cresta: Yeah, not at You just know Joe's not...
Ryan: Yeah, not at all. And the second game... The second game is even less of a cliffhanger.
tommy cresta: Like, it's...
Ryan: It's just like...
tommy cresta: This happens, let the...
Ryan: That's done. Yeah. Yeah. I think if they do a third game, it would be like a Tommy story, even though he's fucking blind now.
tommy cresta: and think if they do it verygan it would be like a to Yeah, you gotta...
Ryan: But... yeah
tommy cresta: i feel like you see them reunite if you do it more.
Ryan: i like
tommy cresta: Like, you have them go together and...
Ryan: you have yeah ellie's missing some digits tommy basically lost an eye everybody gets fucked up yeah it doesn't
tommy cresta: HB lost nine. Everybody fucked up. Second game's rough.
Ryan: exist
tommy cresta: Sam was like, she's like, that's the only sad moment in this game, right?
Ryan: that's only i moment in the beginning
tommy cresta: And I was like, no. I was like, the second game is a lot more heartbreak than the first game.
Ryan: second year is a lot more heartbreak like god yeah the frankly go
tommy cresta: Because she was like, well, what isn't the Frank and Bill part sad in the game?
Ryan: and ni
tommy cresta: was like, that's not even in the game.
Ryan: that's not doesn't exist
tommy cresta: You don't even see Bill's face in the game. No.
Ryan: No, you just see.
tommy cresta: Yeah, you you don't see Bill's face, right?
Ryan: don't see Bill's. No, he's just hanging. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Or Frank, yeah.
tommy cresta: Is it Frank?
Ryan: He's Frank. Yeah, Bill's the.
tommy cresta: Yeah, he has a Hawaiian shirt on.
Ryan: He has Hawaiian shirt on. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Hang on. yeah
Ryan: That was my partner. That's so sad.
tommy cresta: That's so sad in the game.
Ryan: are these pages sticky? Ew.
tommy cresta: Ew.
Ryan: It was great.
tommy cresta: um But yeah, I kind of...
Ryan: Yeah, I kind of, I really like the stuff.
tommy cresta: i i really like this episode.
Ryan: I wish it was more effective.
tommy cresta: it was I like, but I wish there was more infected. Like, I felt...
Ryan: Like, I thought, this season I wish it was more effective.
tommy cresta: This season, I wish there was more infected so far.
Ryan: i
tommy cresta: Which I know we got the Battle of Jackson.
Ryan: I mean, there's been way more than the first season.
tommy cresta: Yeah, but I feel like there's not as many in the first game as there a second game.
Ryan: What do you mean? There's not as many in the first game as there's a second. No, but there's also not that crazy.
tommy cresta: but also not breezy Battle.
Ryan: Well, I mean, the the train does happen, but just different in a different way, kind of.
tommy cresta: The train does happen. Like, I hope that...
Ryan: Like, I hope that. Yeah, I don't know.
tommy cresta: Let me reword that. i'm before yeah I hope the whole season gets...
Ryan: The whole season gets, I still get to see this many.
tommy cresta: I still get to see this many Infected.
Ryan: friends I like seeing the last I like knowing that.
tommy cresta: I like seeing a lot of them, and I like knowing that the... Because I feel like a the first season, it got to the where I like, I wasn't really afraid of Infected showing up.
Ryan: Because feel like at the first season, it got more like, I wasn't really afraid of the of John. Mm-hmm.
tommy cresta: Now I'm afraid of...
Ryan: now i'm afraid i want to stay where i'm like oh they're going to get control at any point yeah yeah i get what you're saying like you want more like random encounters kind of like the game like like maybe like don't scare like one popping out yeah yeah just small i got you i did let's come quicker uh jump against the glass yeah yeah yeah
tommy cresta: Like, I want to stay where I'm like, oh, they're gonna... They can show up at any point again. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, I get what you're saying. you want more, like, encounters.
tommy cresta: Yeah. Like, maybe, like, a jump scare of, like, one popping out from somewhere. Just a little small thing. I did like seeing the clicker ah jump against the glass. That was a cool little. i those
Ryan: practical effect
tommy cresta: The practical effects are so good in the show.
Ryan: I do love how scared they were in the train, though.
tommy cresta: Bella Ramsey actually looks afraid.
Ryan: Like, when they're trying to run through and they're, like, just shooting. like development actually looks afraid Yeah, does.
tommy cresta: yeah but i got scared
Ryan: Also, she probably did. But um I do think it's weird how, and it's just because they don't have spores in the show and so far at this point, um even though they have to add them for ah scene coming up.
tommy cresta: and do think it's weird now it's just because they don't so so far at this point even though they have to have new scene coming up.
Ryan: It's pretty important.
tommy cresta: It's in the...
Ryan: Oh, yeah.
tommy cresta: Oh,
Ryan: They are.
tommy cresta: It was in the trailer.
Ryan: Okay, cool. America.
tommy cresta: Very, I mean, story-defining scene that yeah has a huge impact on the world.
Ryan: authority to i Yeah, it's pretty fucking important. um But it is funny that in the game, Ellie's gas mask breaks.
tommy cresta: But it is funny that in the game, Ellie's gas metal breaks, and that's how it even comes
Ryan: And that's how Dina finds out she's immune. I didn't mind that.
tommy cresta: I didn't mind how they did this.
Ryan: No, I didn't mind it either.
tommy cresta: No, I didn't mind it either.
Ryan: But I just think it's funny that Ellie's been bit four times in the show compared to once.
tommy cresta: I just think funny that Ellie's been hit four times in the go. Is it four? Yeah, because there's...
Ryan: Yeah, because there's the the first one, the main one.
tommy cresta: The main one. And then in like episode two or three, she gets bit.
Ryan: And then in like episode two or three, she gets bit. She's like, oh, thank goodness it was me.
tommy cresta: She's like, oh, thank goodness it was me.
Ryan: Like just a little one on her hand, I think.
tommy cresta: Like just a little one her hand, I think.
Ryan: And then, those convince you yeah just a little one.
tommy cresta: Oh, she's been season one. i forgot about that.
Ryan: And then think so.
tommy cresta: that when they're in the gas station and the thing attacks her?
Ryan: I don't remember.
tommy cresta: don't remember.
Ryan: It was a little one.
tommy cresta: It was a little one. Yeah, I do remember that now.
Ryan: Yeah, I do remember that. Yeah, yeah.
tommy cresta: I forgot. And then the stomach.
Ryan: And then the stomach. Yeah, the stomach in the beginning.
tommy cresta: That was a creepy scene. First all, the stalker.
Ryan: She tried to cut it.
tommy cresta: Awesome scene.
Ryan: Yeah, yeah. And then this one where she takes it for Dina.
tommy cresta: And then this one.
Ryan: So she's been bit four times.
tommy cresta: Dina was Sam got so freaked out when Dina like starts reaching for a gun in the rain she's like no I can't lose both of them this early
Ryan: Sam got sort of freaked out. So I went kind of like, started to reach for a gun in the ring. I was like, no, I can't move both of them. Yeah.
tommy cresta: I would love to have seen this as someone who didn't play the game cause how do you even like how do you expect that no one thought Joel was dying now everyone's on edge that anyone can die it's literally like how Sean Bean dies at the end Game of Thrones season 1 no one thinks that's happening if you think that's a
Ryan: I would love to have seen this if I had someone who didn't play the game. Because how You just have no idea, yeah. Like, how do you expect it? No one thought Joel
Ryan: Now it goes on. heads that eight one nice It's literally like song being that. Don't make it. What? He does? thought he was the main character.
tommy cresta: You know when I watched Game of Thrones, I had no idea, right?
Ryan: know when watched the clip, I had no idea. Everybody did.
tommy cresta: Everybody thought he was the main character.
Ryan: Everybody thought he was the main character.
tommy cresta: No, but i hadn't I watched it after the finale and everything.
Ryan: No, but I watched that since now. Oh, really?
tommy cresta: Really?
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I'd never seen a clip.
Ryan: i can i know was like oh
tommy cresta: i was like, oh, didn't know Sean.
Ryan: I had always seen the clip with the sword coming down on him.
tommy cresta: I've always seen a story coming down.
Ryan: i was like, oh.
tommy cresta: And i was sitting i was least sitting in my room watching.
Ryan: And obviously I was at least sitting in my room and watching it.
tommy cresta: I was like, oh, someone stops it.
Ryan: was like, wow, someone stopped.
tommy cresta: And I cut the next episode. It's the head fall. was like, oh, fuck.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: No, I knew was dying, but I didn't know when.
Ryan: No, I knew he was dying, but I didn't know when. So I watched it and I was like, it's still season
tommy cresta: So I watched it and was like, yeah, it's season one. Season one's not over yet.
Ryan: Season one's not over yet. How do you kill Sean Bean?
tommy cresta: I didn't Dude dies in everything.
Ryan: died in everything. Yeah, every time.
tommy cresta: But yeah.
Ryan: But yeah.
tommy cresta: um so is fucking the agent escal
Ryan: and So does fucking Pedro Pascal now.
tommy cresta: He said he loves it though.
Ryan: He's taking it. He's taking it.
tommy cresta: He said I love dying.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Which could mean something.
Ryan: couldn Probably, it gives him more room to work, I guess, too.
tommy cresta: some more Yeah, because you know you're not going to.
Ryan: Yeah, because you know, Yeah, you know' have to sign on for like a crazy long thing.
tommy cresta: There's no way he dies in the Phantasy 4, right?
Ryan: no finhouse right
tommy cresta: Does he die in Doomsday?
Ryan: he dying back He's gonna die in one of them.
tommy cresta: He's not 60. It's 50.
Ryan: Because you don't cast a 60-year-old guy to play like...
tommy cresta: cast a sixty year old guy play he's not sixty he's
Ryan: He's almost 60. I think he's like 58, right?
tommy cresta: fifty
tommy cresta: No!
Ryan: I thought so.
tommy cresta: Is he?
Ryan: Hold on. oh no Keep talking.
tommy cresta: I thought he was like 52. um
Ryan: oh
tommy cresta: yeah.
Ryan: Fuck, he's 50. Still, still.
tommy cresta: yeah You can work for 50 for a long time as an actor now.
Ryan: can work for fifty for a while He's a good looking 50, but he's, you know.
tommy cresta: He's a great 50.
Ryan: He's a great 50. Okay. Tejo's my man.
tommy cresta: Pedro is my man. oh
Ryan: Yeah, all in all, I still think, think Belgrade is awesome and early.
tommy cresta: But yeah, all in all, I still think i think Bella Ramsey is awesome as Ellie.
Ryan: And I think Dina's, it was all Mercado, he really did it.
tommy cresta: And I think Dina's Isabella Marcada is really good as
Ryan: No, Belgrade is hell, because he's good.
tommy cresta: No, Belorant's as good as Ellie. Because good as Dina.
Ryan: You know, I want to see, I think it's going to be a lot at this point.
tommy cresta: I want to see... know you don't really see Abby a lot at this point.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: We're waiting to get more of that.
Ryan: We're waiting.
tommy cresta: But I'm...
Ryan: But I'm, I just really hope doesn't.
tommy cresta: I just really hope it doesn't...
tommy cresta: If the next two episodes are like this, then you're really behind where the story needs to get, though.
Ryan: the next like this and you're really behind where the story god yeah yeah you need
tommy cresta: yeah like you need this These next two episodes are pivotal to how the show ends.
Ryan: these next versions are pivotal to how the show
tommy cresta: The season ends.
Ryan: Yeah. And I really hope they do get to killing some of Abby's friends soon.
tommy cresta: And I really hope they do get to
tommy cresta: I have a feeling the way that their the next episode seemed, it seemed like there is some fighting again.
Ryan: I ah way to next as like there's some fighting yeah teleman um mean, it just needs to happen.
tommy cresta: yeah Like, Belle of Ramsey fighting. just needs that because if you're saying it like
Ryan: Because if you're saying it like that, it's like they're all together.
tommy cresta: like they're all
Ryan: I'm not going to like that.
tommy cresta: Or maybe they won't be together.
Ryan: I
tommy cresta: Maybe they'll be, like...
Ryan: like maybe
tommy cresta: Like, maybe it's quicker, like, continuation of killing.
Ryan: continue i just, I don't want that though. Like I want it to feel like, you know, you're hunting them down one at a time in the game.
tommy cresta: like i was one like if you're hunting them down Maybe she won't get to kill all of them in this season, which would be wild not to have them all die.
Ryan: It feels cool.
Ryan: ah It's going to be a really weird.
tommy cresta: I mean you could kill one in this episode.
Ryan: one yeah i just i'm I'm really scared they're going to change the show up more than they should.
tommy cresta: ah just... i'm I'm really scared Too far? More than they
Ryan: like More than they really need to.
tommy cresta: Like, more than they really
Ryan: so i feel like the Jackson one worked.
tommy cresta: So. Especially, because I feel like the Jackson one worked, like having the battle.
Ryan: I thought that was going to be good one.
tommy cresta: I thought that was an amazing addition. But there are times, I'm trying to other things that...
Ryan: But there are times. I'm trying think other things.
tommy cresta: mean, the battle of Jackson made the episode better than the one them.
Ryan: The Battle of Jackson made it made the episode better than it would have been. Because it just gave more to do.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because...
Ryan: gave more people to worry about.
tommy cresta: And it gave more people to worry about. Like, it wasn't just one situation that everything was focused on.
Ryan: It wasn't just one situation. Yeah.
tommy cresta: I'm trying think about...
Ryan: Although if it comes down to it where it turns out that like everything else is rushed, then yeah, I would have liked to have like half the episode with Joel getting killed and then the rest of it be episode three where they're mourning and then four to whatever.
tommy cresta: Although, it's absolutely clear that everything comes but think everything is crush. And yeah, I would have liked to have, like, half the episode get killed. The rest of it... Be like them moving. Episode 3 in the morning.
tommy cresta: And then 4 to, you know, whatever.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: don't know.
Ryan: Yeah, i don't know. We'll see where it goes, but i'm I'm very nervous for this season and next.
tommy cresta: We'll see where it goes. But I'm very nervous for this season and next.
Ryan: Because wherever this season lands off, if it's short of where it should be, then I really do not have faith in...
tommy cresta: Because wherever this season lands off, if it's short of where it should be, then I really do not have faith in...
Ryan: Yeah, I'm going to hold out faith that Craig Mason and Neil Druckmann know what they're doing.
tommy cresta: Yeah, i went I'm going to hold out faith that Craig Mason and Neil Druckmann know what they're doing. Yeah. Because they've shown us, i feel like, more times than not that they can do it.
Ryan: Yeah. Because they've shown us more times than not that they can do. Absolutely.
tommy cresta: i mean prima
Ryan: I mean, like Craig Mason is a fucking genius. Like, he knows what he's doing.
tommy cresta: know And he loves this show.
Ryan: loves the He's like...
tommy cresta: It's not like he's doing other things over this.
Ryan: Yeah, he does. But I don't know. i like Maybe it is.
tommy cresta: Throw us that bag.
Ryan: Maybe they are looking to do four seasons. Kind of like force HBO's hand. Be like, oh, sorry. We didn't finish yet.
tommy cresta: we finish here the week we got
Ryan: Can you please? you We gotta, you know.
tommy cresta: How about Bella Ramsey?
Ryan: Throw
tommy cresta: The last of us to end Game of Thrones.
Ryan: us out back.
tommy cresta: Got some good things under her belt. She don't need movies.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Like big movies.
Ryan: Yeah. I think so.
tommy cresta: I couldn't tell you really anything that they're in.
Ryan: I mean, I don't know about like big movies, but i think they've done a decent bit.
tommy cresta: mean, don't know about big movies, but I think they've done a decent bit.
Ryan: Um, Catherine called birdie.
tommy cresta: Catherine Nicole Burden.
Ryan: feel again
tommy cresta: Oh, when you look at the movies. I laid just lit up the movies, so I was like, what?
Ryan: Yeah,
tommy cresta: Yeah, she really hasn't done movies. She's really...
Ryan: yeah it's mostly shows.
tommy cresta: She did that...
Ryan: She did that, uh, resistance, the Jesse Eisenberg, um, fighting Nazis couple years ago.
tommy cresta: She was in Holmes and Watson. Resistance, the Jesse Eisenberg fighting Nazis couple years ago.
Ryan: Neato dude.
tommy cresta: She did a horror short film called Requiem.
Ryan: Great actor. neto dude great actor
tommy cresta: They're really good.
Ryan: there
tommy cresta: What's Resistance?
Ryan: The Jesse Eisenberg.
tommy cresta: Oh, it does not have good?
Ryan: It's like a...
tommy cresta: So really, The Last of Us in Game Thrones is her main thing.
Ryan: was Jewish actor from the french in the French Resistance.
tommy cresta: Well, and
Ryan: Didn't get great reviews, but I remember seeing trailers for it.
tommy cresta: get great repeats but i' seen travel
Ryan: Being like... It's a really classic movie.
tommy cresta: so really the last of us in game thrones are her main thing
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: well
Ryan: Oh. She's also British, so I'm sure there's a bunch of shit that's...
tommy cresta: also british im sure shit
Ryan: She's probably on something popular over there that we have no idea.
tommy cresta: She's probably the over there. The famous witch or whatever that one show was I just saw.
Ryan: famous where I don't know. I don't fucking know. Um...
tommy cresta: um But yeah, so anything else you want to add to the last one?
Ryan: yeah they gotta get going man like yeah
tommy cresta: I just hope that they can... Because I like this episode, when you think about it season, it does kind of slow down the pace more. And so it just needs...
Ryan: they gotta get going man like they really go
tommy cresta: Yeah, and it needs to get to the point where this ends and the next season starts with Abby.
Ryan: and for the next so yeah you
tommy cresta: And yeah it it feels like not missing chunks.
Ryan: was like a not missing like really yeah i mean
tommy cresta: I mean, you if you have three hours, you can get to where they need to be.
Ryan: you three how you can get
Ryan: I mean, you can't, but you, I mean, really, you do got to push some shit, man.
tommy cresta: mean, you can. Really, you do have bunch of shit.
Ryan: Like, they're not going to be able to sit with anything.
tommy cresta: They can also cut down on the moving part.
Ryan: moving like Yeah, yeah, yeah.
tommy cresta: like Like them, like like with the wall how long it takes in the game to move apart.
Ryan: Yeah, how long it takes to get from building to building, absolutely.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: But, you know, some parts of the game, like, the scene with the spores that I'm thinking about, it's a pretty long scene.
tommy cresta: so parts to the game like scene with the spors i'm thinking about long scene
Ryan: you know, you're going to have to cut that down a lot if you want to fit more into an episode.
tommy cresta: you're going have to cut that down a lot you know Hopefully, maybe they from here on they can just follow this game pretty straightforward and just get to the...
Ryan: Maybe they can follow this game for game for Yeah. j four
tommy cresta: oh Give me good television that makes sense and doesn't feel rushed.
Ryan: I hope so. It's
Ryan: nerve wracking.
Ryan: It's going to be bad.
tommy cresta: it's gonna
Ryan: I'm just saying it right now, the show is going to end poorly and it's going to be disappointing and I'm never going to forgive them.
tommy cresta: Don't say that. she was Gonna hold that against them. and
Ryan: Never going to forgive Craig Mazin.
tommy cresta: got a hold day against them
Ryan: Yeah. yeah
tommy cresta: See him in public.
Ryan: forever yeah i'm losing hope i'm very much losing hope good luck hope you're right yeah no it would suck
tommy cresta: Fuck you, Craig. You ruined the last of us. um But yeah. yeah Was that your final thoughts? You think you're going to start saying now that's going to bad? Oh, God.
Ryan: very much losing hope
tommy cresta: very um I'm going to stay on the side of good.
Ryan: on the side of
tommy cresta: I'm going to hold out hope.
Ryan: and well luck
tommy cresta: um
Ryan: i hope you're right
tommy cresta: So do I.
Ryan: sort the us
tommy cresta: I'll be really sad if I'm not.
Ryan: yeah no'd suck
tommy cresta: um Now, moving on from

tommy cresta: He's like, I'm not going to give you a ticket. He's like, it wasn't, he's like, he didn't blow the stop sign. He's like, he just rolled a little bit. He's like, I had to stop you.
Ryan: and to stop you
tommy cresta: he's like, just don't do it again.

Ryan: You can't even really say design because it's just darkness. But but the eyes were awesome.
tommy cresta: But with like the eyes.
Ryan: Yeah, just like the little white speck.
tommy cresta: like And that it was genuinely two different characters.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. yeah
tommy cresta: like Him as Century, and him as the Void.
Ryan: and ah century let
tommy cresta: And Bob were like three different people.
Ryan: and bob like which you get
tommy cresta: Which, again, for those don't know into comics, this isn't like how it works.
Ryan: there done this isnt out
tommy cresta: should He's quite polar.
Ryan: he's just He's bipolar, by the way. he doesn't have multiple personalities.
tommy cresta: I thought he Oh, is that what it is?
Ryan: Yeah, he's just bipolar.
tommy cresta: At some point, I had multi-personality.
Ryan: Because in the comics, he...
tommy cresta: Because in the comics, he...
Ryan: You ever hear his origin in the comics?
tommy cresta: I thought he was created again.
Ryan: I thought he created. No, I think he's created somehow.
tommy cresta: No, I think he's created somehow.
Ryan: But the whole thing is that he he's he was a he was one of the original heroes.
tommy cresta: the whole thing is that he was one of the original heroes.
Ryan: He was there the entire time.
tommy cresta: He was there the entire time.
Ryan: But he he stopped being sentry because he couldn't control Void.
tommy cresta: But he stopped being sentry because he couldn't control Void.
Ryan: And the only way to control it was to just stop being sentry altogether.
tommy cresta: only way to control it is to stop being sentry altogether.
Ryan: yeah So he was powerful enough to wipe everyone's memory, including the reader,
tommy cresta: So he was powerful enough to wipe everyone's memory, including the reader. Really?
Ryan: And then he comes back and he was like, I've been here the entire time.
tommy cresta: he called back he was like i've been here the entire time which is like super very cool Yeah.
Ryan: He just couldn't remember me. Which is like a super meta, very cool way of doing it. Yeah. But they didn't do it in this because imagine they were like, yeah, I was there in New York with the Avengers.
tommy cresta: but they didn't do it they were Yeah.
Ryan: you just don't remember me. like
tommy cresta: that would have been pretty cool.
Ryan: and It would have been kind of cool.
tommy cresta: Or, like, if maybe you didn't want to do, like, the, like, he was there with, like, Steve Rogers.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Like, just throw him in, like, an older story that, like...
Ryan: yeah they're only like an older story though Because that is, I think, what it is.
tommy cresta: That is super meta.
Ryan: He was there the whole time and he wiped everyone's memory, including the person reading the comic book, which is super cool.
tommy cresta: And then he remembers. that's super matter
Ryan: But yeah. And then he remembers and he's like, oh, I can't control this anymore.
tommy cresta: and then Oh, I'm sorry.
Ryan: oh' moonlight
tommy cresta: Moonlight's the one his multi-personality disorder. of
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, he does have bipolar.
Ryan: Yeah, he's just bipolar. Both of them are pretty good.
tommy cresta: Also, great end credit scene.
Ryan: both of them are pretty good
tommy cresta: First one was funny.
Ryan: First one was funny.
tommy cresta: Second one actually had like an impact.
Ryan: Yeah. it finally It was the first one in a long time that actually got me excited for a Marvel movie.
tommy cresta: And I loved... first one a long See? That was me with Captain America.
Ryan: Yeah, but we already knew that.
tommy cresta: What was Captain America's like?
Ryan: Huh? but when you start talking about Yeah, he's like, there's more of you.
tommy cresta: Oh, it's when they start talking about like stuff's gonna happen.
Ryan: It's like, okay, we've heard this in three different movies.
tommy cresta: I think it's just cause like...
Ryan: Thank you again. There's
tommy cresta: Well, because, no, there hasn't been three that have talked about that. Because there was the Ant-Man one, which was Kang, that had no effect.
Ryan: been multiple. We know there's multiple verses. Yeah. and know yeah
tommy cresta: And there was the one in Marvels, which was just showing Beast.
Ryan: And then there was in Marvel's, which was just showing Beast. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: And then there was Doctor Strange's whole movie was showing off the multiverse.
tommy cresta: then there was Doctor Strange, is whole movie showing off movie. Oh, yeah.
Ryan: kind of
tommy cresta: I kind of forget about that movie.
Ryan: Kind of. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: trend
tommy cresta: Trash-ass movie.
Ryan: It's not bad.
tommy cresta: I hate that movie.
Ryan: um It's not in the 90s. My bad on that.
tommy cresta: Not just ninety you said it was one the best Marvel movies.
Ryan: name and That's my old movie. Yeah, I was...
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: I don't know what I was on.
tommy cresta: That scene with the music is one of my i mean one of my most hated scenes in the universe.
Ryan: I don't hate that scene at all. Yeah, it was Charlize Theron. seen it all fire
tommy cresta: Also, terrible post-credits scene.
Ryan: great yeah was shirley's thereron
tommy cresta: with Charlie's
Ryan: and who's killing himself they they're braiding camera that was funny that was just sam raimi being like i'm still sam raimi
tommy cresta: And Bruce Campbell just punching himself. And he finally stops and he's like right in the camera. He's like, ah! That was just Sam Raimi. I was like, Sam Raimi, shut up.
Ryan: and in the department
tommy cresta: He has new horror movie coming out, actually, which I am excited for.
Ryan: answer yeah dude what's that one coming out with um um no no no it's the um what's his name the fucking dave franco and his wife allison brie yeah

Ryan: That looks good. Isn't that barbarian?
tommy cresta: I made barbarian. Please be better than barbarian. I know everyone else.
Ryan: I gotta watch that movie because I think I'll like it.
tommy cresta: You will, especially if you go into it knowing it's a hard, if I rewatched it, I'd probably have a lot more like enjoyment.
Ryan: You will. If I already watched it, I'd probably get a lot more like it. Because I know it is like comedy, sort of.
tommy cresta: Yeah, it didn't.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: None of the trailers showed that in the great beginning of the movie.
Ryan: Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: bray yeah
tommy cresta: Um, but else Oh, we have that.

tommy cresta: But yeah, there's like a ton more of them, but I don't know what they are.
Ryan: yeah that's about more i don't know they are yeah ah twenty four
tommy cresta: 824's Friday the 13th prequel series goes into production in like a month.
Ryan: Friday 13th prequel series. there Really? Huh.
tommy cresta: Oh, fuck. There was something I was going to tell you.
Ryan: Uh oh.
tommy cresta: Oh, did you watch the GTA 6 trailer?
Ryan: Yeah dude. looks really good The beginning when he's talking to the guy.
tommy cresta: Looks really good. Yeah.
Ryan: ah You could tell that was going right in the gameplay.
tommy cresta: You can tell that over
Ryan: Like that.
tommy cresta: Like the way followed him over the shoulder?
Ryan: the way Yeah the way I followed him in.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: I got so excited. yeah yeah
tommy cresta: Dude, I felt the exact same. i For a second, I thought it was a gameplay trailer.
Ryan: the second I thought so too.
tommy cresta: was like, there's no way they already have gameplay.
Ryan: like oh That's definitely like the very beginning.
tommy cresta: that's nice So it's like Bonnie and Clyde.
Ryan: it's like i I guess so yeah.
tommy cresta: It looks amazing.
Ryan: it it's good i
tommy cresta: it's good Dude, if it's good, it will...
Ryan: it will
tommy cresta: it's
Ryan: It's going to make $10 billion. dollars like The game's going to cost $100, but it's...
tommy cresta: he's gonna call i If it's as good as they're saying it is, I'll pay $100.
Ryan: I'll pay it. Yeah, I don't care.
tommy cresta: gonna
Ryan: Because I'm going to play it for a decade.
tommy cresta: 10 um be thirty four I'll mean ah be be 35 a decade.
Ryan: yeah it It's fine. Yeah. be thirty yeah thank yeah That's the thing.
tommy cresta: I'll be 40 when the next one comes out.
Ryan: Like... al Yeah, like video games are expensive, but at the same time, it's like you pay $15, $20 to go see movie.
tommy cresta: They're worth it Yeah, like MLB The Show, I've played 200 movies on.
Ryan: You pay $70 to play a game for 100 hours, right?
tommy cresta: Let's just say it like that.
Ryan: Like you get...
tommy cresta: I've gotten way more than
Ryan: longest though Yeah. two hundred movies on Yeah.
tommy cresta: two hundred movies on let's just say like that
Ryan: say like that You get, for what you pay, yeah, you get your money's worth for what you pay for a game.
tommy cresta: i've gone way more than get That's why live service games are annoying, because you spend all that money just for them to want you to spend more of your money.
Ryan: spend all that money surrender one Yeah, why I'm never getting 2K. Spending money on tattoos.
tommy cresta: anymore to Well, you don't spend actual money.
Ryan: Well, the game was action. Oh, yeah, the VC.
tommy cresta: like when you Like, if you just play the game, you get VC.
Ryan: Like, if you play the game... But name Puff, just buy VC.
tommy cresta: Yeah, i I've bought...
Ryan: I bought... I went five bought $75,000 in the VC.
tommy cresta: I've owned five 2Ks. I've bought 75,000 VC.
Ryan: That's $20. Okay.
tommy cresta: It's $20.
Ryan: That's all I really want.
tommy cresta: That's all I've ever bought. And that was just because i wanted to actually be...
Ryan: And that was just... I don't actually do that.
tommy cresta: Because you if you try and play the game without using money, you will lay take the whole year of the game to get up to like a 90.
Ryan: Because if you try to play the game without using money, you will lay it the whole year for me to get up to the game.
tommy cresta: When? If you spend 20 bucks, you go up to like a 90.
Ryan: That's crazy. That's insane. Yeah.
tommy cresta: God, I hate 2K.
Ryan: I'm not getting too good.
tommy cresta: I'm so excited for NCAA though.
Ryan: excited about it later.
tommy cresta: and You see it's going to have like an open world.
Ryan: VC's gonna have, like, world if you can actually go work out what do you mean for football or basketball they're doing another one has sweet yeah well this year you yeah glorious yes school makes sense it would be yearly yeah yeah we actually played awesome yeah yeah that game was fun <unk> point yeah is it actually i was like all three people like two and a half hours i was having a uncle troy baker
tommy cresta: Like you can actually like go work out and โ Yeah, college โ Yeah, college football. Well, this year. and But your road to the glory starts in high school.
tommy cresta: You actually the play. Yeah. But you actually have to like do high school this time. Thank God. love Love college football. um No, this is fun. Indiana Jones. I was like, I'll stream for like an hour and play.
tommy cresta: Play for two and a half hours. I was having Torrey Baker, unbelievable.
Ryan: He gets it down really good.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: There's not been one line where like, eh, doesn't sound great.
Ryan: Yeah. um excited combat that fun i'd be into a struggle group Yeah.
tommy cresta: I'm excited, but it's the combat's so fun. I beat a dude with a shovel. beat a dude with a broom. um
Ryan: Is it good in first person? that was thing I was like, thought it was really boring.
tommy cresta: Amazing. I thought it was going to be so like jarring.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: It's not. Dude, I snuck up on dude, did the whip, and then shot.
Ryan: It's not. Okay, cool. That's pretty cool.
tommy cresta: i was like, oh! I was so excited. But it kind of is aging poorly in my stream, because I'm like, the whole thing you're following is you're at the Vatican, the Pope's super sick.
Ryan: Because I'm like, the whole thing i is act back and back and the post super sick.
tommy cresta: i was like, wow, rough time to do this one.
Ryan: Really? Man.
tommy cresta: I'm so excited.
Ryan: They nailed it. But, back in front of us.
tommy cresta: But back to the Thunderbolts. um First off, who was your favorite character?
Ryan: First off, who was your favorite actor? I mean, Yelena is the best character in this movie, for sure.
tommy cresta: i mean, Yaleigha. She's the best character, for sure. I think she's the best.
Ryan: think she's best character.
tommy cresta: It doesn't mean she has to be her favorite.
Ryan: Yeah. She's the most fleshed out character, for sure.
tommy cresta: She's mostly fleshed out hair.
Ryan: And even and all of her appearances, like she's...
tommy cresta: And even in all of her paintings, one of the better parts of the kind of movie I do is do it in Hawkeye.
Ryan: one of the she's a better part of black widow because that movie's not great she's good in hawkeye and then she's great in this like she's but a lot of people the best candidate marvel yeah at this point know what thing was my body yeah dollars from what
tommy cresta: And then she's great in this.
tommy cresta: Oh, she's one of the best characters in Do you want to know what the thing was my buddy wanted to tell me? I can't say, I won't say anyone's names.
Ryan: yeah so of that i
tommy cresta: A soldier that I used to be in charge of, he's in Africa right now.
Ryan: i go he's an african
tommy cresta: He just got caught stealing.
Ryan: just got cost
tommy cresta: That's my doctor's appointment notice.
Ryan: but costs them thirty thousand dollars
tommy cresta: Got caught stealing $30,000. What?
Ryan: from what
tommy cresta: The base bar.
Ryan: be or Jesus.
tommy cresta: Jesus. Holy shit. That's going to happen.
Ryan: It's not good. That's going very poorly for him. People are saying she's better than Black Widow.
tommy cresta: Oh, he's going, for those who don't know, there's a place called Leavenworth.
Ryan: it
tommy cresta: It's horrible.
Ryan: heart
tommy cresta: um But yeah, I think Yelena's the best character.
Ryan: um yeah i can do ah scar but i'm also
tommy cresta: But I'm also, I'm in agreement.
Ryan: i mean you like
tommy cresta: So, like, I do not tend to like people on TikTok's film opinions.
Ryan: got and like people in tikok um
tommy cresta: Because I swear people just put stuff out on TikTok.
Ryan: ah word from chest was not album people are saying she's better than black what but she's
tommy cresta: Oh, she's bad in Black Widow.
Ryan: She's getting just been like more fleshed out in half the screen time.
tommy cresta: you see? more she's Yeah, she has more of a story than Black Widow.
Ryan: Yeah. again he into a black lives movie as edge should have been
tommy cresta: Again, the biggest issue with Black Widow's movie is that should have been before all of that stuff.
Ryan: Yeah. but actually
tommy cresta: When I cared more. I didn't care by the time.
Ryan: And when when Black Widow's in a different movie, she's always like a side character.
tommy cresta: so
Ryan: she's never
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: She wasn't the main character until her movie.
tommy cresta: he wasn' And then her movie, she's not even the best character in her movie.
Ryan: worst No, she was overshadowed.
tommy cresta: she was over
Ryan: so
tommy cresta: By Yelena, who's unbelievable.
Ryan: ah you unbelief but that you will the best kind of And Red Guardian's just fun.
tommy cresta: She's one of the best characters in Marvel right now. funny. I...
Ryan: David Harbour's just chewing shit up.
tommy cresta: so funny
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: i
Ryan: John Walker is...
tommy cresta: i
Ryan: i
tommy cresta: I think he might be one of the best written Marvel characters.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. yeah i all like from
tommy cresta: I love his... Like, from the time he...
Ryan: time he like
tommy cresta: Like, Falcon War Soldier has its issues with time, like, rushed it and feelings.
Ryan: ah as an issue time was rushed it
tommy cresta: and John Walker is unbelievable character.
Ryan: john walk body the read yeah his story i
tommy cresta: His story, I... First off, Wyatt Russell is having a blast with this character.
Ryan: why ru is had right
tommy cresta: then
Ryan: And he's he's really playing him well.
tommy cresta: It's so much fun to watch.
Ryan: It's so much fun to watch.
tommy cresta: He beats the dog shit out of people.
Ryan: He beats the dog shit out of him. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Because think we've said it
Ryan: yeah Because I think we've said it before where like in a lot of movies, not just Marvel movies, but a lot um a lot of movies in general, it's always the side characters that you get mostly attached to.
tommy cresta: and a lot of smart for so
Ryan: Because like the main character you just you have to like and you you tend to like him because of the main character, the the hero.
tommy cresta: like
Ryan: But it's those side characters that like get kind of fleshed out that you kind of attach yourself to.
tommy cresta: kind bull
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: And this movie is just those characters where you get like attached to them and you're like, oh, now they're all together.
tommy cresta: And this movie is just those characters where you get attached to them. You're like, oh, now they're all together.
Ryan: This is awesome.
tommy cresta: It's awesome. Besides a good one.
Ryan: Besides Ghost. I don't dislike Ghost, but love the yeah she you didn't have much to do in this movie.
tommy cresta: I don't like this one. Love the character. You didn't really get... You also... Because I feel like you already got her story. Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Because she had...
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Out of all characters in Marvel movies like who were villains and stuff, hers is probably the most flushed out story.
Ryan: It's okay. It's not great. It's not, but that's cool. I do.
tommy cresta: Yeah. Great movie.
Ryan: great
tommy cresta: Love Ant-Man and the Wasp 2.
Ryan: love it it's okay it's not great
tommy cresta: It's the best one.
Ryan: best
tommy cresta: It's...
Ryan: it's not but that's cool um
tommy cresta: I do like the end of the yellow jacket. I like the yellow jacket fight in the first one with the train stuff.
Ryan: it's go train stop it like over Yeah, so I think he's getting up there.
tommy cresta: And it like tips over. and God, the third one's so bad. um will say Lewis Pullman.
Ryan: those one
tommy cresta: Love him.
Ryan: well yeah love with god warmness
tommy cresta: Love him as Bob. Love him as. I love this performance as the boy because it it is completely a different character.
Ryan: and on as the voice because it completely yeah he was really good i said
tommy cresta: I said to my dad, he's going to, he's going to have the, what's his name?
Ryan: he's go to add the
tommy cresta: My god, in Twisters.
Ryan: god was there one
tommy cresta: Glenn Powell.
Ryan: house
tommy cresta: He's going to have a Glenn Powell run as an actor.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: like He's going to start just showing up in everything.
Ryan: i think he's getting up there Yeah, I mean, he was in Top Gun with Glenn Powell and then does this.
tommy cresta: Yeah, and in this.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: feel like he's going to just all of a sudden just get put in.
Ryan: he just all Yeah. I hope he doesn't get trapped in the ah like dorky kind of roles because Top Gun, Bob is like the dorky.
tommy cresta: But then I feel like showing him as Void, like letting him do like, you can see that he has that on the side.
Ryan: pilot or journalist Yeah. to, like, I don't have any chances in this.
tommy cresta: don't And his interviews, he's super charismatic.
Ryan: I think Gonzalez from Andalus yeah he was cool du
tommy cresta: Yeah, he's I was trying to like...
Ryan: um sure
tommy cresta: So like I've been trying to think of like the DC Universe because we don't have any castings in this yet.
Ryan: see have
tommy cresta: I think Eza Gonzalez from Andor.
Ryan: think can man
tommy cresta: She should be a Wonder Woman.
Ryan: she should be of the that'd be pretty cool and then i was trying to think about any of these people thought i think he was in the cc universe yeah he was wait what he's framing time in creation and command he voices that yeah oh i didn't know that because he was suicide squad too he was one of the people that talked to he was like a cia guy yeah the first one before that man shows up yeah
tommy cresta: And then i was trying to think of like any of these people. First of all, I forgot David Harbour's in the DC Universe. He's Frankenstein. He's Frankenstein in Creech and the Commandos.
tommy cresta: Yeah, but he's going to play it too. Yeah. Because in...
tommy cresta: He was of people popped Oh, in the first one. He's the one sitting before Bruce Wayne shows up. Yeah. Also, best scene in the entire movie is when he talks to her at the end.
Ryan: also best in that time is when he's officer at the end yeah only no when he just punches harley quinn in the face underwater it's so funny boomerang yeah it's kind of cool yeah none of those
tommy cresta: Only good scene in that movie. Oh, yeah, that is a good scene. I like the scene with Flash, actually, too. When he arrests Boomerang.
tommy cresta: That's like the only... Yeah, that's where the movie kind of is its best when the heroes show for a little bit.
Ryan: yeah what hero yeah
tommy cresta: None of those people are likable in that movie.
Ryan: this like then Captain Boomerang kind of nice.
tommy cresta: He's fine. he was
Ryan: He was like the only one. Well, Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn.
tommy cresta: Oh, yeah.
Ryan: It's one of the best. Yeah, she's it's amazing in that role.
tommy cresta: Castings of all time.
Ryan: But people liked Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and then Suicide Squad came out and just got demolished.
tommy cresta: They
tommy cresta: so they just chose to fuck his day out. That movie is so good.
Ryan: That means he's so good.
tommy cresta: Again, what you're saying, the side characters?
Ryan: Again, what I'm saying is the side characters. yeah Guardians, Suicide Squad, and yes.
tommy cresta: Guardians, as Suicide Squad, and this.
Ryan: Guardians.
tommy cresta: Guardians.
Ryan: Guardians. Guardians.
tommy cresta: They're like a third-level team that like you wouldn't really think about.
Ryan: You team that you wouldn't really think about. I mean, kind of.
tommy cresta: meantime Yeah, but you wouldn't.
Ryan: I see what you're trying to say.
tommy cresta: Like...
Ryan: Yeah,
tommy cresta: like Somehow they've, feel like people are starting to figure out, the smaller characters that don't have their IP, like, are what people want to see, because they already know everyone else's story, they know Batman, they know...
Ryan: don't have their id like ah feel one yeah, yeah. yeah And I feel like it is also the stories that like, like Captain America, Brave New World tried to connect.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: It tried to be like too much of a grand Marvel movie rather than just being like a Sam Wilson, Captain America movie.
tommy cresta: much um to
tommy cresta: could have been so much cool yeah
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah, but like Guardians Galaxy, people like that because it's just Guardians the Galaxy.
tommy cresta: like
Ryan: it It doesn't really connect to much other stuff.
tommy cresta: doesn't much of this
Ryan: Like there's, you know, there are connections, but and then like stuff like this, like this is ah very contained Thunderbolt story until the very end where just, you know, it connects the bigger story.
tommy cresta: just
tommy cresta: stuff like very
tommy cresta: it connects to bigger story.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: But that's when the Marvel's at its best is when the movie's contained, but then there's a post-credit scene that shows you how it's going to connect to something on it.
Ryan: Yeah. And then. to Yeah. Or just like the very end, they're like, oh, and this.
tommy cresta: like oh
Ryan: And it's just like a little thing.
tommy cresta: like a
Ryan: And you're like, okay, they can, that opens the door for that.
tommy cresta: oh
Ryan: Like, I won't contain stories that have just a door at the end where they can go a certain direction and connect.
tommy cresta: i will contain stories
tommy cresta: Yeah. Not feel like it's forced that the whole movie, not like how, as much as everyone knows, I love the Amadeus Spider-Man 2.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. nice
tommy cresta: The Amadeus Spider-Man 2 was made to make the Amadeus Spider-Man 3.
Ryan: me too many threemates for
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Like, it's just there to show you, oh, the Sanctuary 6 is going to be a thing for them now.
Ryan: like they just gives a whole decision for to me Yeah, because it like the best stories of the self-contained ones, and then you have you know the Avengers movies, the big team-up movies, and that's where it gets like all the characters together.
tommy cresta: Yeah. Because it, like, the best works is all the main ones. And then you have, you know, you've got to fix the big two-up movies. And that's where it gets, like, all the characters. Yeah.
Ryan: That's where it gets the big, grand Marvel Cinematic Universe stuff.
tommy cresta: That's where it gets.
Ryan: like The individual stories should be more individual than they have been in the past, and these past couple of years.
tommy cresta: like
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah So I'm glad this movie was pretty self-contained.
tommy cresta: So, I'm glad this movie is pretty small.
Ryan: Even for a team-up movie, it was very self-contained.
tommy cresta: Again? Yeah. Yeah, like, it's super small, what happened.
Ryan: Yeah, super small.
tommy cresta: Like, the Void's powers are not small, but, like, what they' so what the whole purpose of the story was is a very small thing.
Ryan: The Voids are all, like, look, there's, look, the whole purpose of the story is very small thing. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Like, the Avengers wouldn't show up for most of the things that happened this movie.
Ryan: Well, especially because... show No. Especially because, like, the event, like, this...
tommy cresta: Especially because, like, the event, like, this Void does attack the character the but the actual fight just
Ryan: Void does attack the entirety of New York, but the actual fight takes place on just, like, a block, right? Like, it is, it's pretty small.
tommy cresta: Yeah. doesn't take place in a block.
Ryan: It takes place in one...
tommy cresta: It takes place in one, they're like sitting somewhere in someone's head is where they're really at.
Ryan: Yeah, one street. Yeah. In someone's head. Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Also, you can so clearly tell from, remember the trailer they did with like how many of the people that worked on this were on a twenty four
Ryan: Also, you can... so rather see people count me the who that works on this one
tommy cresta: You can clearly see that they, they went way into the side of like letting the director do his vision.
Ryan: you can clearly see that they went way to the side of letting the director do his vision yeah just do your shit this was not I didn't agree with the one crew consensus that you reading where it was like oh it's the true blueprint this felt very much like no one told them how to direct it again where it's at it's best Winter Soldier another one that feels like that was a revision for that movie yeah where they kind of make it feel like
tommy cresta: Because was not, like, I didn't agree with the one creative consensus that you were reading, where it was like, oh, it's the true blueprint. This felt very much like it's its own idea. No one told them how to direct it.
tommy cresta: Again, where it's at its best. Winter Soldier is another one that feels like that was their vision for that movie. They wanted it that way. Where the Quantumania feels like, hero, guess what in problem?
Ryan: Like, you have to get here.
tommy cresta: Problem leads to this.
Ryan: probably it's being
tommy cresta: Big villain fight movie over.
Ryan: yeah And even the structure of this movie, like, the first act, this movie feels much shorter than it is.
tommy cresta: ah first
Ryan: oh it's i did it's It's two hours long, and it doesn't feel like it.
tommy cresta: It's two hours long. feel it.
Ryan: But I think it was weird.
tommy cresta: But think it's weird.
Ryan: Not in a bad way, but it it felt like the first act took a while, and then the middle act was super short, and then they're just at the finale.
tommy cresta: Not a bad one, it felt like first act took a while. And then the middle act was super short and it just happens now. Yeah.
Ryan: Like, and i'm not I'm not saying that in a bad way, but it doesn't follow that typical three-act structure where it's like,
tommy cresta: I'm not saying that bad one. It's problem that reacts, don't you? Where it's like... No, because the whole the first half of the movie is them at the compound.
Ryan: no No, the first half the movie is then after the content.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Then you see quickly what happens and then it goes to how they're to fix it.
Ryan: Then you see quickly what happens. Mm-hmm. How they're going to fix it. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Which I liked.
tommy cresta: Which like.
Ryan: Yeah. It kind of kind of switched it up just a little bit.
tommy cresta: kind of switched it off just little bit.
Ryan: Nothing crazy, but...
tommy cresta: Really edgy too for Marvel.
Ryan: improve a model theyre really the that
tommy cresta: They're really, they are getting better with that whole idea of letting them make more adult comments, a joke.
Ryan: Yeah, I mean... Yeah, mean...
tommy cresta: and
Ryan: Yeah. Some adult jokes, but also the subject matter of like...
tommy cresta: so
tommy cresta: Beat the piss out of each other it too in the, in the...
Ryan: his too Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, they're talking about like depression and addiction and, you know...
tommy cresta: First off, they blow...
Ryan: first some page
tommy cresta: Spoiler warning for everyone.
Ryan: Everybody knew it. Everybody knew it.
tommy cresta: Taskmaster, if you didn't get this already, Taskmaster dies very quickly.
Ryan: Very quickly. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, she's, she's dead. She's dead. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Gets her brains blown out by Ghost.
Ryan: right like you know brilliant ask let me
tommy cresta: in a really badass way to do it too.
Ryan: gets knock
tommy cresta: Gets knocked over, faces back in front of her, blood shoots out of her too.
Ryan: yeah respect one shoot out or two yeah i mean she's she did she's dead dead
tommy cresta: um she That was really funny scene though where everyone's like, I'm not here for you.
Ryan: yeah really remember i yeah
tommy cresta: And then when, oh, what is it?
Ryan: and that one what is it oh
tommy cresta: Oh, at the end when John Walker's walking with a shield his shield is all this.
Ryan: at the end co walkers walk with his steel his own and things like
tommy cresta: He's like, maybe he'll get his memory back and fix my shield.
Ryan: It's my shield. It's Taco Shield.
tommy cresta: this talkcker That was a really good end too where it showed like all the newspapers of like everything.
Ryan: taco that was a really good end zone when newspaper Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Also, so what do you think that shield's made of? Because it's not the vibranium. Because it's not... Like, he had Captain America's shield in Winter Soldier, and then, you know, Sam Wilson has it now.
tommy cresta: Yeah, that's... I
Ryan: So what do you think...
tommy cresta: i mean, it could be made of something like that.
Ryan: like Well, I was thinking...
tommy cresta: Oh, is it made of adamantium?
Ryan: and me
tommy cresta: That's what I thought last night.
Ryan: that's what I thought last night because I was just thinking about shit. I doubt it.
tommy cresta: I doubt it.
Ryan: But if anybody could get it, it would be Val to get it and give it to him.
tommy cresta: But if anyone could get it, it would be valid if you get
Ryan: You know what I mean?
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: And it also...
tommy cresta: Especially because now they have, from we saw the last movie, there's a huge thing of it.
Ryan: Yeah. let thing
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah, yeah. So i don't I don't know if it is for sure, but I feel like that would be kind of cool.
tommy cresta: So I don't know if it is for sure, but I feel like it would be... Do you think Sentry can bend vibranium?
Ryan: That's what I was thinking.
tommy cresta: That's what thinking.
Ryan: I doubt it. Because even Thanos couldn't break.
tommy cresta: even
Ryan: Yeah, he is.
tommy cresta: He's stronger than Thanos.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: is
tommy cresta: Century's like the strongest person.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: i really Have you ever seen the CGI thing of...
Ryan: i was really oh yeah yeah which is also kind of disappointing they killed taskmaster so soon because taskmaster is also an avengers level threat like
tommy cresta: Have ever seen the comic strip when Doom rips the skeleton out of Thanos? so yeah I need that. I need him to go into a universe and just... because i don't think people understand how strong Doctor Doom is.
tommy cresta: because People are like, oh, it's just a dude in a suit.
Ryan: the
tommy cresta: He is a fucking tank.
Ryan: he is fucking hang yeah
tommy cresta: He will one-on-one anyone and just dog them.
Ryan: even one of yeah which is also kind of disappointing that killed taskmaster so soon
tommy cresta: Because, again, we by themselves.
Ryan: because yes master is also an avengers level threat like by themselves Yeah. It's like Batman.
tommy cresta: It's like that.
Ryan: It's like if he has if he has time to plan, he's going to fuck everybody off.
tommy cresta: Like, he has time to... Reptile.
Ryan: Or shit.
tommy cresta: Taskmaster is pretty much better.
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
tommy cresta: They need time to learn the skills, and then they can master anything.
Ryan: And then they can master anything. Yeah. So I hope, I don't know.
tommy cresta: So I didn't...
Ryan: i didn't I didn't hate that Taskmaster.
tommy cresta: I didn't... I was never...
Ryan: I was never a person that was like, why is Taskmaster a girl? I never i didn't give a shit.
tommy cresta: That was never the issue Taz Mazur.
Ryan: Yeah, no. It was just that it was nothing.
tommy cresta: It was that the fact the characters, the thing sucked.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: The scene was great on the bridge where you see her kind of use everyone's skills.
Ryan: you see
tommy cresta: That was it. You never...
Ryan: Yeah, you never get that again.
tommy cresta: you know they never I thought she was going to do it to John Walker when they were fighting this.
Ryan: in Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: they're fighting
tommy cresta: I thought like she was going to memorize it and just start doing the exact same thing back again.
Ryan: that's like keep i that just somebody needs we should use the shield a little bit but it was yeah it wasn't the same
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: um yeah
tommy cresta: They were beating the shit out of each other.
Ryan: wereish each
tommy cresta: for
Ryan: oh yeah
tommy cresta: um I said to my dad, the only thing in this movie i didn't that you could tell was, like CGI-wise, was just the first time century fights.
Ryan: um i said my identity only this movie i think could tell was alexiia was just the first entry
tommy cresta: It's just because it's so hard to do that super yeah quick movement.
Ryan: Yeah, where he's like, it looks like he's teleporting, but he's not. He's just so fast, like grabbing everybody.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because they don't want to slow it down.
Ryan: Yeah, for sure. But overall, I mean, the movie was absolutely good.
tommy cresta: They wanted to show it how it would look.
Ryan: Fuck yeah.
tommy cresta: So it's just hard to do that kind of CGI-wise.
Ryan: have no idea. yeah for sure
tommy cresta: But...
Ryan: but but overall i mean the movie was
tommy cresta: He...
Ryan: absolutely good
tommy cresta: That was another scene. He just starts beating everyone there.
Ryan: be everyone fuck yeah
tommy cresta: i I think Sentry is such a cool character.
Ryan: i think senator
tommy cresta: Sentry has a love interest.
Ryan: yeah right so
tommy cresta: Oh, he has a wife named Lindy Lee.
Ryan: we high will of
tommy cresta: has of child.
Ryan: i no idea But I wonder if they, I mean, I'm sure he's going to be back for like Doomsday or something.
tommy cresta: however
Ryan: But yeah, that's why he he wasn't, he's not Sentry anymore because he kind of, like in the comics, he has to, li okay, he has to shut it down because he can't, he can't be Sentry without also unlocking Void at some, like he just, he can't control it.
tommy cresta: that'
tommy cresta: like it's a wife named lindy lee yeah so Because he can't be Century without the void coming out. why Kyle doesn't have a tablet.
Ryan: So that's why Bob doesn't have the powers in the post-credits scene because he just, yeah.
tommy cresta: Super funny scene. He's like, do you want to all of us climb up and ride on...
Ryan: all this climbable
tommy cresta: but Yes!
Ryan: yes yes
tommy cresta: Red Guardian riding in on Century.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: He's like, I did the dishes.
Ryan: um in addition yeah so what do you think sam wilson's avengers team is though because it's going to be him and then falcon the new new falcon yeah the tour what's his name again the like tor something from to torres i think yeah i do like it we talked about that before but i do like him as falcon oh really good yeah
tommy cresta: So what same so I've been trying trying to think about it. So Falcon will be part of it.
tommy cresta: Daniel, oh, something called Torres. i just know Danny Ramirez. we don Oh, he was really good in, um he was the best part of the new Captain America movie.
Ryan: <unk> it that for got them Maybe it was fun.
tommy cresta: Uh, I'm trying to think of who else.
Ryan: I talked about it in the car.
tommy cresta: him There's no Hulk.
Ryan: No.
tommy cresta: No.
Ryan: right
tommy cresta: Right? Hulk's not.
Ryan: Well, Hulk's son now at the end She-Hulk, but I didn't really...
tommy cresta: yeah Oh, yeah, Hulk is gonna show up.
Ryan: ah For sure, at some point.
tommy cresta: For sure.
Ryan: But then, i don't know maybe She-Hulk?
tommy cresta: But then, I don't know, maybe she holds.
Ryan: And I think...
tommy cresta: I was thinking, I was thinking,
Ryan: I was thinking maybe it would be like Young Avengers, like Kate Bishop and um Cassie Lang.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because Daredevil's not going to be in that. Spider-Man's not going to be there.
Ryan: I don't even know who that is.
tommy cresta: No one even knows who that is.
Ryan: I don't know. i don't know who it's going to be.
tommy cresta: kind of yeah i kind that's another thing I'm kind of hoping to, like, how are they going handle the whole Spider-Man getting back to the help them kind of thing?
Ryan: How are you going to handle the whole Spider-Man game back to you? help i don't know. I guess we'll find out.
tommy cresta: one
Ryan: Is when's that movie supposed to come out? Before Spider-Man?
tommy cresta: After Doomsday.
Ryan: Is it after Doomsday?
Ryan: I don't know.
tommy cresta: me
Ryan: Huh. I don't know. We'll see. Either way, Thunderbolts was good.
tommy cresta: Either way, Thunderbolts good.
Ryan: Absolutely worth seeing.
tommy cresta: Oh, one of the best Marvel...
Ryan: a long time, yeah.
tommy cresta: it's I genuinely think it's the best Marvel movie since No Way Home.
Ryan: i think ah for in a long time yeah
tommy cresta: It's probably a better movie than No Way Home is.
Ryan: no way
tommy cresta: No Way Home just has just an amazing moment.
Ryan: It might be. It's just fun. It's just an amazing moment. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: I'm trying to think what else.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah, Ghost gets demolished. Or not Ghost. ah Taskmaster. Ghost was kind of the least fleshed out character in this movie.
tommy cresta: ghost
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: Which is kind of disappointing, but...
Ryan: Okay.
tommy cresta: may Oh, wow.
Ryan: So he'll be there for Secret Wars.
tommy cresta: It comes out one month two months after Doomsday.
Ryan: okay junes second on may first is conductal like
tommy cresta: So Doomsday comes out May 1st. This comes out July 31st. Yeah,
Ryan: so he'll be there for secret wars
tommy cresta: yeah because yeah you can't just have him show up in Doomsday.
Ryan: yeah so they were they good unless you
tommy cresta: It wouldn't make any sense to how he's back. Unless you he shows up in...
Ryan: sure i doubt it it'll probably be like is it it's coming out that soon uh yeah they are filming yeah okay sweet yeah
tommy cresta: Wait, the next and the next movie is Doomsday, isn't it?
tommy cresta: ah Yeah, May 1st 2026.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because they're filming already. They've been filming like three weeks. Because they all watched Thunderbolts on set.
Ryan: they all yeah it is yeah
tommy cresta: And ah the post-credit scenes in this were both filmed on Doomsday set.
Ryan: the postmarkets both filmed on okay
tommy cresta: And it was directed by the Russos.
Ryan: angle direct whatever sweet
tommy cresta: Both post-credit scenes. Yeah,
Ryan: yeah
Ryan: Yeah, all right.
Ryan: We shall see, I guess.
tommy cresta: shall see yeah because now I want to see when these...
Ryan: i see Yeah, what else?
tommy cresta: When the next couple MCU films?
Ryan: You got it.
tommy cresta: um Thunderbolts May 2nd.
Ryan: That's
tommy cresta: Ironheart comes... Ironhauer comes out next month?
Ryan: still...
tommy cresta: so
Ryan: i didn't know that they were still doing that.
tommy cresta: Sorry if everyone can hear that. um Fantastic Four.
Ryan: fantastic four Yeah, that's a good point.
tommy cresta: Duh. Eyes of Wakanda.
Ryan: i work on
tommy cresta: August 6, 2025.
Ryan: Wait, what was that?
tommy cresta: Eyes of Wakanda.
Ryan: Is that a show? Or is that...
tommy cresta: I have no idea. Marvel Zombies October.
Ryan: horrible some All right, that's the show.
tommy cresta: That's a show.
Ryan: Yeah, animated.
tommy cresta: um Oh, Wonder Man.
Ryan: oh wonderful
tommy cresta: December.
Ryan: I forgot about that.
tommy cresta: Uh,
Ryan: Jesus.
Ryan: Who's playing him? What was it?
tommy cresta: um. Abdul Mateen.
Ryan: Yeah. Future film.
tommy cresta: Here we go.
tommy cresta: Future films.
Ryan: future Oh, Arnold Ward.
tommy cresta: Oh, armor worse.
Ryan: Future film.
tommy cresta: Things never coming out.
tommy cresta: Where'd that list go?
Ryan: you
tommy cresta: ah Future. Black Panther 3.
Ryan: what That makes sense.
tommy cresta: Blade has officially been canceled.
Ryan: Yeah. No.
tommy cresta: um Shang-Chi sequel. X-Men film. Deadpool and X-Men film.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Did you see that, the Deadpool next, what they were saying about it?
Ryan: see about
tommy cresta: It's going to be like an X-Men movie, but Deadpool's...
Ryan: i
tommy cresta: Ryan Reynolds is writing it, but Deadpool's like a side character.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: That makes sense.
Ryan: that makes sense yeah
tommy cresta: Yeah, because he Which I'll give Ryan Reynolds a lot of credit.
Ryan: you but don
tommy cresta: He has said from the beginning he's not a leading character for them.
Ryan: no
tommy cresta: he's like it would make He's like, he is a terrible leader.
Ryan: No. If it was like a team-up movie, absolutely not.
tommy cresta: was like
Ryan: Deadpool does not work. He's like a leader.
tommy cresta: she worse it Yeah, and he's a terrible leader in all of his movies.
Ryan: It works in his movies because it's a joke, but... Yeah.
tommy cresta: i just need i Do you think Blade shows up again?
Ryan: i Fuck no.
tommy cresta: but but i mean thats That's what I mean.
Ryan: Well, I mean, Secret Wars maybe, but...
tommy cresta: like Doomsday or something.
Ryan: Yeah, maybe. I don't know.
tommy cresta: God, I hope so.
Ryan: That movie's never going to happen.
tommy cresta: No, i mean Wesley Snipes.
Ryan: but Yeah, I know what you're saying, but I was i was thinking Mahershala Ali, but...
tommy cresta: He shows up and again. and He's like, still only one Blade.
Ryan: It's still the only one.
tommy cresta: He kills Marjali.
Ryan: large It would be crazy if Mahershala shows up in Secret Wars.
tommy cresta: And just gets murdered by Wesley Snipes.
Ryan: Yeah, just like someone Deadpool's like, who the hell is that guy?
tommy cresta: so hell He's going to be... i I really think he's going to be Martian Manhunter.
Ryan: i
Ryan: That'd be cool. Yeah.
tommy cresta: James Gunn's like, hey, they didn't shoot you right over there.
Ryan: each right I didn't.
tommy cresta: Come here.
Ryan: We actually have a plan.
tommy cresta: he's like He's like, see how things flipped?
Ryan: he's like he's like Yeah, see see how we get things done over here?
tommy cresta: I'm James Gunn. I can make anything happen.
Ryan: yeah super
tommy cresta: Superman looks so good.
Ryan: I'm so excited.
tommy cresta: I'm so excited.
Ryan: So am I.
tommy cresta: It's got to make a lot of money, though.
Ryan: So much money.
tommy cresta: If it doesn't make $800, they're going to be...
Ryan: if it doesn't make
