tommy cresta: do episode one and two Peace Me Year episode 1 was titled The Ties That Grind directed by James Gunn and episode 2 A Man That Is Only As Good As His Bird currently sitting at 8.3 out of town IMDB a 96 on Rotten Tomatoes and 83% on Google

tommy cresta: Currently, so first episode I thought was a really good reintroduction back into the season.

tommy cresta: And I really liked the way that they re-edited edited like the what you missed on last season of Peacemaker.

tommy cresta: And then they just re-edited the Justice Gang for the Justice League. I think it was smart way of doing it. Instead of just cutting that, they just re-edited it to fit it into this universe.

tommy cresta: And I liked where it kind of like left off. like It just kind of kicks right back into it. But it kind of...

tommy cresta: I feel like the first episode was good and I was excited to see where it went. And episode two, I was kind of like, okay, you just did exactly what episode one did.

Ryan: kind of felt like yeah you get more of like the like it it shows more of the relationship between peacemaker and hawthorne which or not hawthorne what's the hardcore yeah um

Ryan: Which I think is important, and that seems to be...
tommy cresta: which i think is important and that seems to be this seasons definitely goingnna be more about
Ryan: This season's definitely going to be more about his, you know, relationships and trauma throughout his life.
tommy cresta: you know relationships and trauma throughout his life it's going be more personal for Peacemaker this season i think that's kind of the point of it yeah it's good to lead more into this character which I think is interesting but I would like a little bit more of like seeing where the story's going go because like you said episode two felt like kind of the same thing as episode one didn't drive the plot forward too much in terms of like

Ryan: I guess he's going to just try to go and live in that other alternate universe with where his brother's alive and his dad's alive.

Ryan: But I want to know what like the overarching story is going to be for the actual DCU universe. Because we know that... Yeah. Rick Flagg is going to be trying to get him

Ryan: you know, on something, trying to send him to jail or just kill him because, you know, he killed his son, Corta Maltese, in the Suicide Squad, um which is interesting.

Ryan: I hope they kind of focus on that a little bit more. But again, I think if if James Gunn is trying to look at this season as diving deeper into peacemakers like Psyche and figuring out his relationships and what he wants in this world, then I think having him go to that alternate universe where his family's still alive, I think that's that's interesting, but I'd still like a little bit more

tommy cresta: It's showing everyone back to this universe. You're seeing what's going to change because now it's the DCU, and not the DCEU. You're trying to find your footing again. But then episode two, it felt like it was doing the exact same thing.
Ryan: so
tommy cresta: You went back into the universe for a little bit. It ends pretty much exactly where it felt like it ended in the first season episode.
Ryan: by Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Just this time, he doesn't fight anyone.
Ryan: and
tommy cresta: It just ends... Being like, oh, you're in this world again.
Ryan: oh yeah you
tommy cresta: You don't know what's going to happen. We're stopping here. But I think I would just, I wanted it to feel more small scale. And I wanted the main story to just be him having to deal with the trauma of what he did.
Ryan: and i wanted the main so have yeah
tommy cresta: yeah With, I thought maybe he's got to deal with, because it kind of felt like he kind of got to get off with the whole Rick Flag thing.
Ryan: with amazing kind of got
tommy cresta: And I felt like this was going to be more of a way for him not to have deal with all that now.

tommy cresta: Now that it's coming to get, like, I know he dealt with in Peacemaker, but like, It's more that it...
Ryan: It's more that it's coming back to really bite him now that Flagg's in charge of Argus.
tommy cresta: It's coming all the way circling back now. It's coming back to really fight. Yeah.
