Hello everybody and welcome to Beyond the Trip, a psychedelic therapy podcast with me, Dr. Esby Dark. I'm a clinical psychologist, a somatic therapist, and a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist.

I wanted to bring this podcast out into the world at this particular time because here in Australia, where I live, we're moving into the clinical use of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy for the first time. So much of the media has focused in on the dosing part of psychedelic assisted psychotherapy or the medicine sessions. And there is so much more involved with working with these medicines than just that.

So I wanted to create a space where I could speak with thought leaders and other inspiring humans about the therapy part of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

There's also some really important ethical, cultural and systemic considerations to hold in mind when working with these medicines. So we will be exploring those as well. If you are an aspiring psychedelic therapist, someone who's already working in the space, or just someone who's interested in finding out more about this new and emerging field, then this podcast is for you.
