Ryan: We got in contact about a month ago about doing some content together.
tommy cresta: And then you came back to me and told me how much you love film.
Ryan: And then you came back me told me how much you love to film.
tommy cresta: So I thought it wouldd be fun for us to rank these horror villains and it'd be just a fun episode.
Ryan: So I thought it'd fun for us to rank these horror villains and it was a fun episode.
ESPGolfTV: yeah. Oh,
ESPGolfTV: I appreciate it. Thanks, you guys, for having me Yeah, I'm huge film now. sure we'll have some fun conversations today.
tommy cresta: So I wanted to ask just so everyone can kind of get to know you who listens.
Ryan: So I want to ask, as everyone's excited to know you're listening, what's your biggest film
tommy cresta: What's your biggest film hot take?
ESPGolfTV: Well, I mean, I think Ryan already knows it, but I personally think that Batman v Superman is one of the greatest comic book superhero movies ever made, period.
ESPGolfTV: Point blank. I think it gets the characters Superman and Batman 100% nail on the head, even though I understand what you're going to come saying Batman doesn't kill.
ESPGolfTV: I understand that entire argument, but i promise you have a counterpoint to every single thing that you do.
tommy cresta: Hey, we'd love to hear it. Ryan, what would you like to would you like to counter him at all? think it's dog shambles.
Ryan: I think it's dog shit movie.
tommy cresta: No, I just think, I mean, I am
Ryan: um
Ryan: No, I just think, I mean, i am the type of person, I like Superman being light, you know, lighthearted. He's very, I don't like brooding, angry Superman very much. I love Henry Cavill. I think he looks the part, I mean, perfectly.
Ryan: And I like Ben Affleck's Batman. Thought he was cool. Loved the costume, but I don't like Batman.
ESPGolfTV: Oh, here's my second hot take. Ben Affleck's Batman is the best Batman we've ever seen on live action.
Ryan: That's pretty odd, too. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Batman.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: That a hot take.
ESPGolfTV: Now, I really want to clarify what I'm saying, Batman. And I'll even double down and I'll say Christian Bale is probably the worst Batman we've ever gotten. Great Bruce Wayne.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: I don't hate that take.
Ryan: i didn't I don't hate that either. I think he is the best Bruce Wayne because he just he has that suave, like, just...
tommy cresta: think he has that.
ESPGolfTV: Yes. 100% the best Bruce Wayne. Yeah. You got that.
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: But I.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Pattinson, number one for me.
ESPGolfTV: Who's number one?
tommy cresta: I'm going to die on that hill. I love that take on Batman right now. I don't.
ESPGolfTV: a Pattinson.
tommy cresta: Yeah, and I know I'm going to be 26 when the second movie comes out, but by then.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: but
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. I'll be, I'll be 26. I'll 27. When the next movie comes out.
tommy cresta: Yeah, Ryan's still a baby at 25 at that point.
Ryan: yeah right
ESPGolfTV: But.
tommy cresta: 25? Yeah. twenty five
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Be nice.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: No, I think Pattinson got a lot right. I wasn't a fan of his Bruce Wayne. a little too emo for my liking. I like Bruce Wayne. Like, we talked about Christian Bale has the perfect Bruce Wayne. He's supposed to be a cocky, arrogant asshole. Like, that that's who he is.
ESPGolfTV: I think Ben Affleck got that right, like, especially in, like, the gala scene between him, Wonder Woman, that agent, Lex Luthor's, like, side take or whatever.
ESPGolfTV: But I think if anyone here, I'm assuming both of you guys are huge fans of the Arkhamverse, I'm going assume was it i think Ben Affleck's Batman is the... Ryan's not a fan of the Arkhamverse?
Ryan: no I like it I've seen most of it
tommy cresta: He's never played it, right?
ESPGolfTV: like Okay, okay, he's made fix.
tommy cresta: I've seen most of it.
ESPGolfTV: I just think Ben Affleck's Batman the best when it comes to them. if You saw the way he was fighting in that warehouse scene. Nothing ever comes close to
Ryan: oh yeah the warehouse scene I'll give you all that it's the coolest shit like just beating those motherfuckers
tommy cresta: Oh, yeah. The warehouse, you know, I'll give you all that. The coolest thing.
ESPGolfTV: that.
tommy cresta: Just feed those books.
ESPGolfTV: That's the coolest Batman anything we've ever gotten live action.
Ryan: Yeah, that scene rules.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
tommy cresta: But yeah, so.
Ryan: and
tommy cresta: That's a great way to start the episode. We got some Batman knowledge in there.
Ryan: and
tommy cresta: Diehard Batman nerd.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: But. That is not why we're here today. We're here to talk about the best horror villains and slash monsters because it can be a little bit hard to distinct the two.
Ryan: and
tommy cresta: But that's why you're a huge horror fan as we mean you got to talk about what think is the most important horror film in the genre?
Ryan: ah one
Ryan: what you think or
ESPGolfTV: Important? That's a great question. Most important horror film in the genre? I'm gonna go with Exorcist. I think the Exorcist the most important horror movie.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I think for what it did at the time, personally, I rewatched it recently with my girlfriend and, um, dude, it still holds up. It's still super creepy. Like I, I still, I still get super creeped out just thinking about that movie.
ESPGolfTV: And also like all the, the, uh, uh, what's it called? The rumors behind the filming, how like the sets burnt down like five times. So I think I'm going with most important, I go exorcist.
tommy cresta: It's the perfect answer.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: i don't think there is another one.
Ryan: <unk> that
tommy cresta: It's that ah to me Jaws because I think Jaws just changed how I think about the ocean.
Ryan: me mean
ESPGolfTV: Good. 100%.
Ryan: yeah oh
tommy cresta: It made Steven Spielberg into the biggest name.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: But I love that movie. and I love The Exorcist.
Ryan: i
tommy cresta: I mean it's the probably one of the first like great horror movies I remember watching.
Ryan: and even the new one the mike flanagan remake he's doing
tommy cresta: And even the new one.
Ryan: everybody's saying that sets i two so it's just following
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: the name like
tommy cresta: Poor Mike Flanagan. That dude can't get away from the scares.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Are you guys talking about Exorcist Believers or there another one?
tommy cresta: Yeah, they're making a new one.
Ryan: Yeah,
ESPGolfTV: Really?
tommy cresta: And it's following the like true adaptation a lot more.
ESPGolfTV: That's good.
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: I honestly didn't mind Believers too much. thought it was pretty good.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I think my only issue as Believer was that I felt like they tricked you into a twist.
Ryan: Yeah, I was like, oh, one finally did it twice.
tommy cresta: I was like, oh, the one's going to die. And then it felt like they did it twice. And i was like, well, that seems like it took away all the pain that I just felt for the family.
Ryan: And I'm like, well, I see the other team that I just dropped the bad way.
ESPGolfTV: oh yeah
Ryan: Hey, it's better.
ESPGolfTV: the engine was
tommy cresta: Go block your camera.
ESPGolfTV: i like that i think the ending is pretty sharp But, yeah, i it it threw me off a little bit.
tommy cresta: Hey, it's better than i thought it was going to be.
Ryan: <unk>s
ESPGolfTV: i know, i mean, what do you think, kind of throw back at you, I know it's probably not part of the segment, what do you think is the scariest part of you've seen?
Ryan: I mean, for me, it's still, but what is it called?
tommy cresta: I mean, for me, it's still... Mm-hmm...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Ryan: Gojima Haunted Asylum. This Korean movie he forced me to watch.
tommy cresta: korean
Ryan: Because I'm not i'm not a huge horror guy. I like it more now, but a year or two ago, I never watched horror. Tommy loves horror and just forced me to watch a bunch of them. So I've seen a lot now. But we watched this movie together, and it was just, it was the scariest fucking movie.
Ryan: Oh, my God. You were talking monsters. There's like five different ones I could have put on this list.
ESPGolfTV: Oh, OK.
tommy cresta: yeah just from that movie
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: um
ESPGolfTV: Oh, it's on Tubi.
tommy cresta: Yeah, it's for it's um it's on YouTube, I think, too, for free.
Ryan: yeahs um it's all Yeah.
tommy cresta: I'm not to lie, I think it's Paranormal Activity 3.
ESPGolfTV: Oh, yeah, it is. Nice.
Ryan: And it is, it's really good. It's not just one of those like scary to scary movies. It is a good movie, but it's terrifying.
ESPGolfTV: Oh.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: That movie has truly left me terrified for my entire life.
Ryan: and movie
ESPGolfTV: How
tommy cresta: Or Hell House.
Ryan: or
tommy cresta: Either one of those movies can...
ESPGolfTV: House is dead?
tommy cresta: I love Hell House.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Nothing has traumatized me more than sinister. I know sinister is one of those like either, oh, it's not scary at all, or oh, dude, it's the scariest movie ever.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: If people have like opposite views on it. I watched it when I was 14 with my best friend and his mom had left for the night. So she literally left us with a pizza.
ESPGolfTV: So it was in in like context, a summer night in high school, like it's the best night ever, right? You get free pizza and a movie to watch. watch this were' scared shitless for the next two months
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: That's a fair one.
Ryan: Yeah, it's phenomenal.
tommy cresta: Sinister is like one of those movies I love to rewatch though.
Ryan: Yeah, let's talk about it.
tommy cresta: Like I think I've watched it so many times because i the first time it's kind of like a long Blair Witch.
Ryan: think first time how
tommy cresta: It doesn't have the rewatchability of scares because you kind of it's a lot of like the slow burn horror. Which I feel like has a lot of horror these days. But Sinister is probably the best horror movie in the last 20 years.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: Like dick just well made film. Scott Derrickson is the best.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah it's phenomena
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: um
ESPGolfTV: It's terrifying.
tommy cresta: But yeah let's hop right in the list.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Of course Espadon.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
tommy cresta: Esteban? Sorry about that. um You go first. What's your number 10 for best horror villain?
Ryan: So if
ESPGolfTV: This hot, hot take playing this guy so high up, but I'm gonna go Jason Voorhees.
Ryan: I.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: I'm so with your choice. i' am one of the biggest non-Jason people, sadly.
ESPGolfTV: No, I'm not a big Jason guy. I mean, I can, you know, appreciate how important he is to the genre. He's probably the most recognizable slasher, but not a fan. I don't know.
ESPGolfTV: Just never did it for me.
tommy cresta: That's a good number 10.
Ryan: and then we'll tell you everyone as well.
tommy cresta: That's a great way to start us off. Nice hot take out the gate.
Ryan: There you go. Ryan, what are you doing?
tommy cresta: Ryan, what about you? What's your number 10? I'm going with the apparently one.
Ryan: I'm going with a very recent one. I'm going with Pearl from X and Pearl.
tommy cresta: I'm going Pearl from The Fast. Not that stupid.
Ryan: Not Maxine. Thankfully, she got left out of that movie because that movie stunk.
tommy cresta: I didn't really check out that.
Ryan: But those first two movies, X and Pearl, were fantastic.
tommy cresta: But those first two movies had a horror fantastic.
Ryan: And it was like seeing her as the old woman still be scary.
tommy cresta: And it was like, seeing her to the world still be scary and then just seeing her origin story, Pearl was phenomenal.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. yeah
Ryan: And then just seeing her origin story, Pearl was phenomenal. um And Mia God's performance as both the older and younger version, just fantastic.
tommy cresta: And Media Gotham is where it says,
Ryan: So I got Pearl as number 10. Very new one.
tommy cresta: very
ESPGolfTV: I like that.
Ryan: Might be kind of a hot take, but I put her on the list.
tommy cresta: Oh, that's a good one.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I love Mia Goff too, so anything with Mia Goff for me is a double thump.
tommy cresta: I didn't.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: um My number 10 is the man in the masks or the potato sack head guy from the strangers.
Ryan: stranger
tommy cresta: The stranger is my all time favorite horror movie. So to me, his, that scene where he's in the background behind, uh, what's your, Oh my God.
Ryan: we got
tommy cresta: What's your name?
Ryan: liv tyler lift
tommy cresta: Liv Tyler, when he's in the background but she's taking the sip of water, smoking a cigarette, that is ingrained into my brain.
Ryan: and great
tommy cresta: So every time home alone, I imagine he's standing behind me. So that had to put him right number 10 because I think there's still nine more that have terrified me even more in my life.
Ryan: that right just
Ryan: even more in that way. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Dude, that's a really good pull.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: But yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I actually, it's funny you say that. I'm, I love like supernatural horror movies because it's, you know, you get, you have to suspend your belief in you're watching.
ESPGolfTV: Movies like Stranger, that shit creeps me to the bone.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Right?
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Yeah, sort it happens to people.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, crazy. Yeah, no, that's a good pull. That's a good pull.
tommy cresta: Yeah, now it's moving to number nine.
ESPGolfTV: Number nine, dude. Also, i mean, I would say maybe a hot take just because of how you know big he is, but would say Chucky.
tommy cresta: Wow, Chucky made your top ten.
Ryan: Wow. Oh, yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Chucky makes my top 10 because I like the series. I enjoyed watching the series mainly because of the girl from Parks and Rec, Audrey Plaza.
tommy cresta: Oh yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Love her. She's one of my celebrities.
tommy cresta: ah
ESPGolfTV: She makes she made me enjoy Chucky more. Chucky does make my top 10. Um, but yeah, again, close to nine. Hey, man, would even say he and Jason entertaining to what the 10 spot.
tommy cresta: That's fair.
Ryan: That's right.
tommy cresta: Hey, we're crossing up.
Ryan: Yeah. We're going to take off the list first.
tommy cresta: We're getting the big names off the list first. We're all gonna have bigger pools at the end.
Ryan: We've got bigger pools at the end.
tommy cresta: Okay, Mr.
Ryan: Okay, so what do we got?
tommy cresta: Foran, what do you got?
Ryan: All right.
tommy cresta: Alright, I got a real deal monster.
Ryan: i got a ah real deal monster for my number 10. I have the monster from Cloverfield as my number 10.
tommy cresta: I have the monster from Cloverfield. Oh, okay.
ESPGolfTV: Oh,
Ryan: Kind of like a lot of people don't like that design.
tommy cresta: Kind of, I don't like that design.
Ryan: I think it's cool.
tommy cresta: I think it's cool.
Ryan: Just like the long ass arms.
tommy cresta: Just like the long-hand arm.
ESPGolfTV: yeah.
Ryan: And you clearly see like it doesn't want to attack anything.
tommy cresta: And he clearly seems like, he doesn't want to what's happening.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
Ryan: It just got – it landed in New York he's like, how the fuck do I get out of here?
tommy cresta: He's like, I'm fucking out of here. It's a, I think, really fun.
Ryan: Like it's – I think it's a really fun found footage movie.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: And those little pumps that come off of it.
Ryan: And those little bugs that come off them.
tommy cresta: Yeah, that come off of it.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: That's still that scene where the I forget her name, but her head just explodes.
tommy cresta: That's cool. That's where the, I forget her name. The one girl gets you.
ESPGolfTV: Okay.
tommy cresta: explode
Ryan: Like, yeah, I like that movie a lot.
ESPGolfTV: But.
tommy cresta: I like it a lot.
Ryan: So I'm putting ah I think people call him Clover is like the kind of name the fans gave him.
tommy cresta: I think people call it Clover. It's the only Cloverfield movie.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
Ryan: But he doesn't have a name in the in the series. But yeah, it's the only Cloverfield movie to the other ones don't count.
tommy cresta: The it. Cloverfield movie is a movie, but just the end of it just throws something in.
Ryan: 10 Cloverfield Lane is a good movie, but just the end just throw some in for no reason. And then the other the Netflix one doesn't that doesn't count.
tommy cresta: And then the other Netflix one doesn't. Is there a Netflix Cloverfield movie?
Ryan: Yes, dog shit.
tommy cresta: Yes, Dolce. Didn't even know that. That was a thing.
Ryan: I forget what it's called.
tommy cresta: They're making a new one.
Ryan: Oh, really?
tommy cresta: A direct sequel to the original.
Ryan: Sweet. That's the one. Yeah. Yeah. ah really
tommy cresta: Yeah, and I think Matt Reeves is doing it.
Ryan: so
ESPGolfTV: He'll get to that in 2035.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: No. What's it called? I know 10 Cloverfield Lane and the Cloverfield Paradox were both scrapped.
Ryan: that's the one
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: we're not going to do with clover field and the studio bought them and remade it into a Cloverfield movie, which is why they feel so disconnected and just make no sense.
Ryan: yeah
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: J.J.
tommy cresta: JJ just keeps buying scripts just growing.
Ryan: Abrams just keeps buying scripts and just throwing Culverfield in.
tommy cresta: Really?
Ryan: Really? Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Every single episode is the same
tommy cresta: ah hate you j I didn't know that there was a third That's crazy.
Ryan: Just those two movies. didn't know that was a good one. That's crazy. Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: universe.
Ryan: Ryan's been playing my other way.
tommy cresta: Ryan's going to hate my number nine because he hates this character.
Ryan: He hates his character.
tommy cresta: It's Volek from The Conjuring World.
Ryan: It's following. They're not very well.
tommy cresta: she
Ryan: She almost made my list.
ESPGolfTV: No that's so high.
Ryan: I love it.
tommy cresta: I love, I'm sorry, I love Volek.
Ryan: I love it. I love it. I've seen in the number two when the door opens and says Warren's house.
tommy cresta: The scene in The Nun 2, when the door opens and it's Warren's house, that's exactly how my upstairs and my house steps.
Ryan: see back
tommy cresta: So every time I get to the top, I'm like, God, if I turn and Volek's just at the end of this hallway, I'm jumping right back down this flight of steps.
Ryan: like to I don't have to acknowledge that it's bad.
tommy cresta: But...
Ryan: But,
ESPGolfTV: You know, 102, top three for me all time to get horror movies.
tommy cresta: Really?
Ryan: really?
tommy cresta: Really?
ESPGolfTV: Usually number one most rewatchable horror movie for me.
tommy cresta: I love The Conjuring, too.
Ryan: I love the kind of, I just watched her late on the video, they don't tell them that's the voice.
tommy cresta: I just watched it late on cable the other day. That's how invested I was.
ESPGolfTV: I love that movie.
tommy cresta: Commercials and all.
Ryan: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: So, yeah. But I love her.
Ryan: I didn't even know it.
tommy cresta: She was six when I first did my list.
Ryan: She was sick when I first didn't realize, and then she slowly got down.
tommy cresta: And then she slowly got pushed at it down. i couldn't put her um outside of the top ten. And I couldn't put her at ten. So, she's at number nine.
ESPGolfTV: Are we doing a thing where we can't say the same thing or can we still say the same one?
tommy cresta: No, no. We can still say the same thing.
Ryan: Yep. Yep.
ESPGolfTV: Okay, cool.
tommy cresta: it's I like doing that because then we see like the difference in everyone's opinions.
Ryan: um
ESPGolfTV: Okay, nice. Yes. She on my list. a little Later on though. um Is it me again?
tommy cresta: Yep.
Ryan: ye
ESPGolfTV: Number eight, I'm gonna go, I have like three that I wrote that i wrote down, but I'm like stuck between, i don't know where to put them just know they're all like seven
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: let's cool Let's go Freddy Krueger. Let's go Freddy Krueger.
Ryan: Oh yeah.
tommy cresta: Iconic character.
Ryan: Yeah. That's a good one. Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: I love Freddy.
tommy cresta: probably the most consistent horror frame car character until the end.
ESPGolfTV: I love Freddy. I was stuck with Freddy and I forgot the name of the mon. should actually probably it up. The girl from The Grudge.
ESPGolfTV: So, like yeah, those two.
Ryan: oh yeah
tommy cresta: long, yeah. That's a good one.
ESPGolfTV: But I'm even including her list anymore just because I really think she wouldn't go anywhere else. I would say Freddy. I like the Freddy movies. Um, I'm actually a defender of the 2010 remake of the Freddy movies. I liked it.
tommy cresta: I just watched it the other day and I was like, this was my movie as a kid.
Ryan: I keep smiling and I'm like, this is my movie as a kid.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: I watched the AdWords, the Red Dawn, the Friday the Week remake the Tucky remake.
tommy cresta: watched that, red Dawn, Friday the 13th remake, and Chucky remake.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: And I was like, I'm just going down the rabbit hole with these movies.
Ryan: And I was like, I'm going down for all season 3.
ESPGolfTV: know Oh, and Freddy vs. Jason, what a mess that was, but that was like the first crossover movie I've ever seen in my life.
tommy cresta: oh God.
ESPGolfTV: So...
Ryan: Oh god.
tommy cresta: but There's another character that's on my list later that's in a crossover movie.
Ryan: There's another character from the CrossFit remake that's in a much better way.
tommy cresta: That's in a much worse.
ESPGolfTV: like I like Freddie. I get it. I do like the Southern Time remake.
Ryan: yeah I love just how much of an asshole Freddy is.
tommy cresta: love just coming
Ryan: Like, he's just having fun the entire time.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: he's just having one the entire
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: He's so adorable.
tommy cresta: He's such a perv, though, in the remake. oh
Ryan: Oh, yeah. He's so adorable.
tommy cresta: Oh, Leans so much more into being a pedophile.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Alright,
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, straight up a photo, yeah.
Ryan: All right, well, my number eight is going to be, I'll be completely honest.
tommy cresta: well, my number eight is going to be... I'll be fairly honest.
Ryan: I have not seen the second one.
tommy cresta: I've seen the second one.
Ryan: I've seen the beginning of the third one, but I've seen the first one.
tommy cresta: I've seen the beginning of third one. I've seen the first one.
Ryan: I have the creeper from Jeepers Creepers on here.
tommy cresta: I have the Creeper from Jeepers Creepers on there. You saw Jeepers Creepers?
Ryan: Yeah, I've seen the first one.
tommy cresta: Yeah, seen the first
Ryan: But the reason I have them so high is because I remember when we were much younger, I was over your house for a party.
tommy cresta: But the reason I had them so high is because I remember when we were watching one, I was over at your house for a party.
ESPGolfTV: Thank
Ryan: Like our our families were getting together.
tommy cresta: Like, our family was pretty good it.
Ryan: And...
tommy cresta: And you put on Jeepers Creepers 3 on the table.
Ryan: you put Jeepers Creepers 3, it was just on cable, and I saw the beginning of it, or do you remember the intro?
tommy cresta: And I saw the beginning of it. Or do you remember the intro? No.
Ryan: Where it's just this like young kid who was like our age at the time is like walking through a field and he sees a scarecrow and it's him and he just snatches them flies away.
tommy cresta: just this, like, young kid. Like, R8 at the time is, like, walking through a female. Then he's an air girl. It's him. Oh, yeah. Dude, scared the chair out of me so bad.
Ryan: Dude scared the shit out of me so bad.
tommy cresta: It was one of those times where, like, I didn't try to walk my dad to meal.
Ryan: It was one of those times where like I had to drive home, my my dad drove me home, and I like ran to the door.
tommy cresta: And I, like, went in my door.
Ryan: I was like, I gotta to get inside right now, he's gonna get me.
tommy cresta: was like, gotta get fat right now. He's gonna get it.
Ryan: So that's always stuck with me.
tommy cresta: So that's always tough with me.
Ryan: So I got Jeepers Creepers on there.
tommy cresta: So I gotta Jeepers Creepers. I'm like, fuck.
Ryan: Um, Yeah. I think the scariest part of that franchise, though, is the director now.
tommy cresta: various port
Ryan: After all that shit he did.
tommy cresta: all the shit
Ryan: Who's the director?
tommy cresta: Who's the director?
Ryan: I forget his name, but he's a piece of shit.
tommy cresta: um forget his name, but he's a piece of shit. Oh.
Ryan: um Yeah, he did some bad stuff.
tommy cresta: Yeah, he did some bad stuff.
Ryan: So that's fun.
tommy cresta: That's fun.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Well, that's a good one,
Ryan: Well, good for that.
tommy cresta: Yeah, what's your number eight?
Ryan: Yeah, yeah. What's your number eight? My number eight is the first thing do.
tommy cresta: My number eight is the lipstick face demon from the Insidious franchise. Might be the greatest jump scare of all time when he appears behind Patrick Wilson.
Ryan: Might be the greatest one to care of all time. They're here for all the bad shows on.
tommy cresta: It was the first horror movie I snuck into at the AMC near us.
Ryan: It was the first moment I got into at the AMC.
tommy cresta: I told my mom I was going to see, I think, Iron Man 3 or Iron Man 2.
Ryan: I told my mom, I think Iron Man 3, Iron Man 2.
tommy cresta: And I walked it into the theater next to it and got in 10 minutes late to Insidious 2.
Ryan: And I walked to the theater next to it and got into it's like a theater.
tommy cresta: And I remember crying in the bathroom because I was so scared of the movie.
Ryan: And then I remember crying in the bathroom. I was shooting. yeah I was interested in that by myself.
tommy cresta: I should not have been sitting in there by myself.
ESPGolfTV: I'll never be on you guys.
tommy cresta: But yeah, that that guy's terrifying.
Ryan: But yeah, that guy's fine. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: i mean, I'm sure you've seen the remember I funny back in the day.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah. yeah
ESPGolfTV: I funny meme it was like, i was crashing my nuts during the.
ESPGolfTV: Popped out. Scratch. Whenever I think I think of that. That funny post.
tommy cresta: And he really isn't that scary when you see him.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: like like when you I feel like it's more the music and the atmosphere makes him so much more scary.
ESPGolfTV: You're wondering.
tommy cresta: Because he really is just Darth Maul.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Well, I think Insidious 1 is an expertly crafted horror film. I think Insidious 2 was half as good as a movie it was. I think every Insidious after that should have been like straight to video on a man movie.
tommy cresta: Hey, Insidious 3 is a great horror movie.
Ryan: yeah great honor
ESPGolfTV: I don't think I've ever laughed harder than when that girl got ran over by the car.
tommy cresta: I swear to God, we watched sort of
Ryan: Dude, I swear to God, we watched it together and both of us just started dying laughing. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I watched that with my friend back in was funny The movie's already mine in my opinion and this bitch just gets fucking mowed out of it.
Ryan: I think
Ryan: what I was going to say was that he's playing a red song.
ESPGolfTV: That looks so good.
tommy cresta: think that's 2014. So I was in eighth grade and we went salt.
Ryan: Like all of my friends, I was just like, oh, my God.
tommy cresta: Like all my grade went salt in stage chapter three. And my friend at the time, who's such a loser now, can't stand that kid. um he literally had to sleep with a nightlight on yeah fuck that guy he had to sleep with a nightlight on for a month after that movie yeah you know who i'm talking about um but yeah he was so scared of the movie and we kept making fun of he's like dude it's not funny oh my god i hate that
Ryan: Oh, I know who you're talking about now. Let's continue on back for my metronome.
ESPGolfTV: Can't stand it like that.
tommy cresta: but yeah let's continue on not talk about my trauma anymore
Ryan: lets continue on
ESPGolfTV: Number seven for me, kind of, you know, call back to the beginning of the episode, going to the Zuzu, the demon from Exorcist, the original one.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I thought that dude was creepy as shit. You only see him for a frame. frame.
tommy cresta: Yeah, isn't it...
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: You can
tommy cresta: Is it one frame or twice?
Ryan: it email
tommy cresta: I always think you see them twice in it.
ESPGolfTV: do it two times, but it's for one frame.
tommy cresta: ah it is... Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: only see one frame worth of him. So I think he's in the movie for a total of 0.3 or 0.4 seconds. And dudes, in the moment when you're watching the film, if you're like like watching it and you're in it, and that thing just pops up of nowhere, because it comes and you're not expecting it.
ESPGolfTV: And personally, when I watched it for the first time, it was like someone stabbing me in the heart. Actually, it was Steve. At seven, that's where I'm putting that.
tommy cresta: I haven't even...
Ryan: I told you I was never a horror guy until like a year or two ago.
tommy cresta: thought Oh my god, I completely forgot about that scene. The two scenes. The frames.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: But it is so quick.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: ah And if you're sitting in the dark, then you swear you see him on the wall.
Ryan: and preum
tommy cresta: Because your eyes like adjusting to the flash.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, dude.
Ryan: yeah um
tommy cresta: I'm like, oh no. Have you seen The Exorcist?
ESPGolfTV: Original
Ryan: most of it
tommy cresta: Oh.
ESPGolfTV: Exorcist?
tommy cresta: This is what happens on this show lot.
Ryan: no otherwise i told you um i was never a horror guy until like a year or two ago
tommy cresta: told you. I'm in the trailer. I know.
ESPGolfTV: Dude, you gotta watch it. It's it's one of those, like if you're getting into horror, it's one of the staples.
Ryan: I know.
ESPGolfTV: don't know if it's on Mount Rush, not rushmore but ah family
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: No, I do have to watch it for sure.
tommy cresta: yeah because you like the conjuring so if you can do that a lot people like put them as like you can watch the cat you would like it though I think it's like it's a really well-made movie my number seven is gonna be the
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: yeah The thing, I just haven't watched it because I know what happens. like this you know I've seen a majority of it from on YouTube or whatever, so I just kind of avoided it, but I should sit down and watch it.
tommy cresta: i should you would like it though i think it's like it's a really womade movie
Ryan: just I'm sure I would like it. Yeah, it's great movie.
ESPGolfTV: Yes, this is good one.
Ryan: um My number seven...
tommy cresta: minor seven
Ryan: is going to be the red face guy from Insidious, like Tommy.
tommy cresta: going to be the oh yeah
Ryan: just Just that jump scare is the greatest thing of all time.
tommy cresta: just that jump scare all time a sta and the one from
Ryan: It's that and the one from Haunting of Hill House are like neck and neck.
tommy cresta: Oh, that haunting a hell house jump scare.
Ryan: Because that one is in the car um but i another story i was dating this girl in high school back like zero horror movies would not watch one for the life of me and she liked them and so she just kept trying to get me to watch them she tried to get me to watch insidious and i said no so what she did was just take that picture of the jump scare and make it my phone background my wallpaper and not tell me and so i got home and went on my phone and just scared the shit out of me and i threw it all across the room
tommy cresta: But I another story. I was dating this girl in high school. Zero of our movies would not watch one for the life me. She liked it. And so she just kept trying get me watch them. She tried to get me to watch the studios.
tommy cresta: And I said, no. So what she did was just take that picture of the jump scare and make it my phone background, my wallpaper, and not tell me. And so I got over and what am i film and just the
ESPGolfTV: Dude, two
Ryan: I was that scared of everything. So that's a fun memory with that guy. Yeah, that's my number seven. You already said enough about him, why he's good. But, yeah. So what's your number seven, Tom?
tommy cresta: your number seven? Mine's Patrick, the main white clown from the Hell House franchise.
Ryan: My favorite is me, Blake Kyle, and Kyle's friends. That's fun to say.
ESPGolfTV: more.
tommy cresta: God, that fucking thing.
Ryan: I've lost my children.
tommy cresta: Seeing him in the trailer for the new one, I was like, God, why am i do I put myself through this?
Ryan: When I watched him, I was on the first time.
tommy cresta: When I watched Hell House for the first time, it was two years ago, I think now. Yeah, two years ago.
Ryan: yeah two
tommy cresta: i was doing my horror Halloween countdown.
Ryan: I my horror on the new calendar.
tommy cresta: I watched 30 movies for 30 days.
Ryan: I watched 30 movies.
tommy cresta: And the trailer does not show a clown.
Ryan: And the trailer not sure what happened.
tommy cresta: So I didn't look at anything else.
Ryan: So I didn't look good at it.
tommy cresta: I put the movie on.
Ryan: I put the movie on.
tommy cresta: I got so scared that I paused the movie and went upstairs and watched The Office with my dad for 30 minutes because my heart literally felt like it was like hurting from like breathing too much.
Ryan: I was scared. I was like, close the movie. I went upstairs and watched the movie. My dad was a little mad. Because my heart literally felt like hurting. From like breathing to my shining clouds.
tommy cresta: I hate clowns. was my biggest fear.
Ryan: It was my biggest fear.
tommy cresta: So yeah, he...
Ryan: So yeah, that shows the problem that he had just scared me that he had seven or six more to go.
tommy cresta: That shows how many of these characters scare me that he's at seven and we still have six more to go. But yeah, he terrifies me.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. All
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: right, now we're getting this into some interesting territory. Because my six through one, they're like, I would say my six through four are like more spaced out, and my top three are like neck and neck.
ESPGolfTV: I would say for number six, I do have Alec. I have a number six. For me, I mean, you're talking about the number two scene. For me, it's Conjuring 2 scene, where she's the end of the hallway, and like the...
ESPGolfTV: Warren's daughter is like, mom, what is that? no Like whatever.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Good. Chills up my spine. girlfriend still can't watch that movie. She can't watch that scene. You know, love the movie. No, I think that's the way they built her up and the way they used her. Cause I feel like personally her stock has dropped.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: ah for
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: port goes just with the more you see or i thought this book made her so scary is that you really didn't see her and did see her was like these extremely intense moments um so that's why i wasn't really a fan of the nun or the nun 2 or bring her back at all i just thought like you saw her too much it just kind of ruined the the the mystery behind it know so but i have her at six just for the frights that she did come out with nun 2 especially watching the first time that's one of the scar like scared like scaredest i've ever been watching a film
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, Conjuring 2 is a banger.
Ryan: It is.
ESPGolfTV: that's
Ryan: It's kind of.
tommy cresta: The Conjuring trilogy is even good.
Ryan: think it's a job, I love a.
tommy cresta: The third one's not great, but it's not as bad as I always think it is.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. <unk> trash
ESPGolfTV: one
tommy cresta: I think it's so hard for them, though, because Michael Chavez, I love it.
Ryan: i think michael
tommy cresta: Me and Ryan both love Annabelle 3, Annabelle Comes Home, because it's just a ridiculous jump-scare-filled horror movie.
Ryan: just like
Ryan: So I have to make this work, because James Wanlach has said a lot of this is going to hold fingers crossed.
tommy cresta: So I have trust in him to make this fourth one good, because James Wan was on set for a lot of it, so going to hold Fingers crossed. It's like my number two most anticipated movie of the year.
Ryan: So hopefully they can.
tommy cresta: So hopefully they can end it strong.
ESPGolfTV: I thought Annabelle Comes Home wasn't scary at all.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: They changed, didn't they change the actor of Elizabeth Warren and Patrick Wilson's, didn't they change the actor of daughter?
Ryan: Oh.
tommy cresta: Yeah, they changed the daughter.
Ryan: Yeah, they just don't want to anything, but then the notes are going to be under.
tommy cresta: but and then they But then the nun to the other girl comes back.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, so I personally didn't like that.
tommy cresta: So I was kind of confused.
Ryan: Yeah. and
ESPGolfTV: didn't how goofy it was. Again, Annabelle can be a strange situation. She's not on my list. When you show it too much, it gets less and less and less scary.
ESPGolfTV: So that's just, I feel like they're dragging it. That's why I i prefer the main line conjuring series.
tommy cresta: Yeah, just the main movie.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Fat nuts.
Ryan: Yeah, that's fair.
tommy cresta: That's fair.
Ryan: So my number six is Annabelle.
tommy cresta: So my number six is...
Ryan: well so
tommy cresta: That couldn't have been set up more perfectly if we wrote it.
Ryan: Just nailed that.
tommy cresta: Nailed that.
Ryan: um
tommy cresta: I do agree with what you're saying.
Ryan: Yeah, no. I do agree with what you're saying. shit She's in it too much, but I think like...
tommy cresta: She's in it too much, but i think like...
Ryan: I kind of like that.
tommy cresta: i kind of like that.
Ryan: Not for how scary she is, but just that it is kind of like the through line through all of the movies.
tommy cresta: Not for how scary she is, but just that it is kind like the through line to all the movies.
Ryan: Like she has her own trilogy and then she's in the Conjuring movies.
tommy cresta: Like has her own trilogy, and then she's in the Conjuring movies.
Ryan: And she ah she always pops up.
tommy cresta: ah she she always pops out she always finds a way to
Ryan: She always finds a way to pop up. And I just think that's cool how it's just the one demon just can't stop fucking around with the Warrens.
tommy cresta: just think cool i was just a one
Ryan: They can't get rid of it.
tommy cresta: ah cant get rid of
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: um i just think I just think it's cool.
tommy cresta: i take
Ryan: And the fact that it's real too.
tommy cresta: and that's right like they're all
Ryan: Like they're all... real in the conjuring movies but the fact they're still touring with that fucking doll did did they come to philly yet no okay it would go missing in gettysburg
tommy cresta: Yeah. fact it's phil tor and fucking
ESPGolfTV: He's missing.
tommy cresta: they try a familiar No, it went to Gettysburg.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, he's missing. Did they find her yet?
tommy cresta: No, that they came out where like it didn't go missing.
ESPGolfTV: Oh, okay.
tommy cresta: That someone did as like a scare thing and then someone put a raggedy Ann in a church where it went missing.
ESPGolfTV: Good.
Ryan: but
tommy cresta: Supposedly to like mess with people and people like freaked out.
ESPGolfTV: I thought it was secret marketing company for a new movie.
Ryan: it would go missing in gettysburg
tommy cresta: it was Don't say that.
tommy cresta: I love
Ryan: I love the story of Adam Peltler.
tommy cresta: Like the story of Annabelle, but her movies just aren't.
Ryan: Her movie is starring.
tommy cresta: The first two are so bad.
Ryan: The third one is only bad. yeah The third one is only...
tommy cresta: third one's only really like, it's
Ryan: we only like it because it's just fun. It's a good like Halloween relax, fun movie.
tommy cresta: It's a good like, Halloween, relaxed, fun movie.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, popcorn for me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a popcorn for me.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: That's what it
tommy cresta: We're on six, right?
Ryan: Yeah, six.
tommy cresta: Yeah, it.
ESPGolfTV: is. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Number six, it's the last clown on this list.
Ryan: Number six.
tommy cresta: Fucking Art the Clown, man.
Ryan: Fucking market. God. I'm paraphrasing.
tommy cresta: God, I'm terrified of that, man. i went and saw Terrifier 3, which was a terrible decision, three different times.
Ryan: I went to school and paraphrasing. three different times, and was on because thought you were gonna watch it.
tommy cresta: And i lay I almost vomited the third time I watched it.
Ryan: There's something about that character that will be for an actress to be very familiar with.
tommy cresta: There's something about that shower scene that will forever be ingrained into my brain. But it's not as bad as the knife scene in Bring Her Back to me.
Ryan: Not as bad as like to bring her back.
tommy cresta: Bring Her Back might have the worst scene in history.
Ryan: Bring her back after you don't see history.
tommy cresta: But yeah, Art the Clown.
Ryan: But yeah, on the fact that he does character in the short story of a movie at first, and then they meet Terrifier 1, which I think is fun, Terrifier 2, which I've seen
tommy cresta: The fact that he just was a character in a short story of a movie at first.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
tommy cresta: And then they made Terrifier 1, which I think is pretty fun. Terrifier 2, which I hated.
Ryan: the
tommy cresta: and then Terrifier 3, which I think was
Ryan: that per
tommy cresta: as perfect as this franchise will get, but we'll see how the fourth one goes and all that.
Ryan: see
tommy cresta: But yeah, I think he's just, he's solidified himself in that like S tier of slasher character.
Ryan: Yeah. Oh, really? Really? if i
tommy cresta: Like everyone knows who he is and he's a small budget character.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: I was really on the fence about putting Art on my list. He would have, liked him more than jason i think jason's just more important to the genre and are
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: without jason there wouldn't be an art fun fact though i used to have a podcast where my girlfriend made we talk movies and I actually interviewed David, the actor behind.
tommy cresta: Oh, really?
Ryan: ah red really
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Super cool guy.
Ryan: Yeah,
ESPGolfTV: Dude, his, his like goal in life is to be Joker one day. And see yeah, he made a fan film so he could do it.
Ryan: because he played with that game.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because he played him in that fan film.
Ryan: Amazing.
tommy cresta: Amazing.
ESPGolfTV: kind is real and I think dude would be a killer Joker.
tommy cresta: Yo, James Gunn.
Ryan: Yo, James.
ESPGolfTV: But yeah, super nice.
Ryan: Yeah. Hey, you're listening.
tommy cresta: want I know you're listening.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, bring him on.
tommy cresta: Go cast him as Joker.
Ryan: Yeah, this is where my...
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, bring him on. Alright, we got, oh, top five, okay.
tommy cresta: Yeah, this is where mine...
Ryan: yeah this is one of
tommy cresta: Five is I think, here and up is solidified, but probably the top three could be interchangeable for me.
Ryan: Five, I think, here enough solidify by the time we
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, no, the next next two for me are strong, strong, I think. So for number five, kind of going back to what I was saying earlier, the frickin', don't even like saying his name, but like, Bagul, or whatever his fucking name was from Sinister, that one.
tommy cresta: Oh, yeah, the smile Mr.
Ryan: get. Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm.
tommy cresta: Smiley, whatever.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, whatever his name.
tommy cresta: Whatever they refer to him as.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, from obviously Sinister One, I thought when I watched it at least, I mean, again, I haven't really revisited that too much it dead-ass did freak me out so much. When he we popped up for the first time, I thought it was the scariest shit ever. When you see him like in the back of the films when Ethan Hawke is doing his investigation and zooming into the the footage and you see him in that jump scare when he comes out at you from the video.
ESPGolfTV: Dude, fuck that. That jump scare... Dude, that jump-scarer, I honestly don't know how he didn't have a heart attack that day, but he's my number five, 100%.
Ryan: the
ESPGolfTV: 100%.
ESPGolfTV: He would have been higher if my top four weren't so just...
tommy cresta: That's a good number five. He just missed my list.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. you would have been hired top forward and so
tommy cresta: Yeah. I'm excited to hear your top ones, Ryan.
Ryan: it's good play
tommy cresta: Because I have no idea where you're going.
Ryan: no
Ryan: I think my my top three are pretty solidified.
tommy cresta: I think my top three is pretty simplified.
Ryan: I think four and five can kind of like, like you were saying, the 10 through five, you know, you can mess with those a little bit.
tommy cresta: I think four and five now in. Like you were saying, the ten through five. I think four is definitely, for me, higher.
Ryan: I think four is definitely, you four to one, you know, I'll change five to whatever.
tommy cresta: So four to one can all change. Five is set at five, and that's the rest can all kind change in.
Ryan: right. I got you. So my number five is going to the Demogorgon from Stranger Things.
tommy cresta: My number five is going to the Demogorgon from Stranger Things.
Ryan: Another newer one, but another just instantly iconic monster.
tommy cresta: Another number one, but another iconic model.
Ryan: And I mean, like, Stranger Things season one is the best season.
tommy cresta: I mean, like, Stranger Things is the best season.
Ryan: I think it's always going to be the best season because it's the only one that was genuinely scary because you kind of lost the scare factor once you realized you understood what was going on with the upside down and everything.
tommy cresta: It's going to be the best season.
tommy cresta: kind of
tommy cresta: going on upside down.
Ryan: But still, those original first season scenes with the Demogorgon,
tommy cresta: But still, those original first season themes, they're fucking creepy.
Ryan: They're fucking creepy.
tommy cresta: They're still creepy.
Ryan: They're still creepy. it's still It's such an iconic, the mouth opening up now.
tommy cresta: It's such an iconic album.
Ryan: it's just
tommy cresta: It's just kind of become a staple of modern horror.
Ryan: It's kind of become a staple of like you know modern horror going back to the 80s aesthetic.
tommy cresta: Because the whole show is a theme.
Ryan: Because the whole show is just Stephen King, movies, which it gives it that...
tommy cresta: Which gives it that feeling better when you're on the show.
Ryan: you know that feeling that everybody loves about the show. But ah yeah, the Demogorgon, the original one is just the best.
tommy cresta: But yeah, the original one is just the best.
Ryan: And then, you know, they kind of ruined it, not ruined it, but all the Demogorgs and stuff.
tommy cresta: And it kind of ruined it. Devon dogs are stupid.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, they just went about a little bit.
Ryan: They just went little a little, a little overboard. I wish it was still, it should have just been one season.
tommy cresta: I wish it was world. It should just been once. The original idea the anthology theories I think would have worked better.
Ryan: The original idea of an anthology series, I think have worked better, but yeah, the Demogorgon had to be on my list.
tommy cresta: But, yeah. That money had to be too crazy for them to be like, yo, we're changing this up.
Ryan: Oh, they're getting paid out the ass, dude. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: It's also tough to get five seasons across like, what's it, 10 years.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: A hot take you again, I'm not huge fan of Stranger Things.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I've seen
Ryan: Really?
ESPGolfTV: I think it's just, I can't get behind it when it takes so long to get the next thing. And it's so hard for me to keep suspending my belief in reality when these are supposed to be high school kids or like brand new school kids.
tommy cresta: Yeah, what are they, 20-something now?
Ryan: Yeah. yeah Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: And they're like 30. Like Joe Keery, about to be 30 something years old.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: I will say though, I loved season three. I thought season three was a lot.
tommy cresta: What?
Ryan: Three.
ESPGolfTV: I thought season three is the only ability, huh?
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: It's the only upside of that season.
Ryan: so all Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I thought that season was lot. I it a lot. wasn't a fan of season four. I did not, actually didn't like season four at all. Season two was one with Demo Dogs, didn't like season two either. also
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Remind me the villain of season two. who was that again?
Ryan: um Wasn't it just that one?
tommy cresta: Wasn't it just Devon dogs?
Ryan: I think it was the dogs, yeah, because they had to like go down the tunnel and shut it down.
tommy cresta: think it was the dogs. They had like going down the funnel shut down.
Ryan: I think it was just like another opening somewhere.
tommy cresta: think it was just like another opening. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Somewhere.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
tommy cresta: Season four is most recent one?
ESPGolfTV: Season one.
Ryan: Yeah, for that's
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: That's my favorite season.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, season one was the best season. I liked season two a lot.
tommy cresta: No. Four.
Ryan: yeah no.
tommy cresta: Four is the best season.
Ryan: One was the best season.
tommy cresta: I like four.
ESPGolfTV: I like
Ryan: I like it.
tommy cresta: I like that they're more grown up.
Ryan: I like that.
tommy cresta: Um. Number five, it's one of the most iconic horror characters of all time.
Ryan: Number five, what was that? i mean
tommy cresta: We mentioned them earlier, Freddy Krueger. Just terrifying, re-watching the...
Ryan: just terror you are excuse me, the remake.
tommy cresta: Excuse me, the remake.
ESPGolfTV: the other one.
tommy cresta: As much as I hate a lot of the use of CGI, Freddy's just an asshole.
Ryan: As much as I hear a lot music, CGI, Freddy's just an asshole.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Like, Freddy's just mean.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: Like, Freddy's just an asshole.
ESPGolfTV: Pasty dick.
tommy cresta: has some of the wildest lines in his movies.
Ryan: He has of the wildest lines we've released.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: We all know the meat line that he makes in Freddy vs.
Ryan: We all know the new line that we've seen Freddy, which is terrible now.
tommy cresta: Jason, which has aged terribly now.
ESPGolfTV: So bad.
tommy cresta: And just, Freddy's just an asshole.
Ryan: And Freddy's just an asshole.
tommy cresta: But I love that they, I love the idea of him, like, being in your dreams and stuff like that.
Ryan: But I love idea of kind of dreaming the dream, especially because it all came from
tommy cresta: Especially because it all came from these three men in South America. They woke, they went to sleep, five of them, and three of them woke up dead and they had, like, slashed Mars across their chest.
Ryan: you know But of it.
tommy cresta: But it looked like they came from, like, inside of them.
ESPGolfTV: Whoa.
Ryan: And that's how much created that.
tommy cresta: And that's how Wes Craven got the idea. And yeah, so it's a really awesome movie.
Ryan: And yeah, it's really awesome.
ESPGolfTV: Whoa. That's sick. I didn't know that story came from.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: It was pretty crazy.
Ryan: It's really great, but I think way to continue to record improved.
tommy cresta: You can read about online. I think it's on the Wikipedia page for the movie now.
ESPGolfTV: Whoa.
tommy cresta: But yeah, Freddy's icon.
Ryan: But yeah, Freddie's.
ESPGolfTV: That's...
ESPGolfTV: All right, before we head into my top five, or I guess top four now, want to just throw out a couple of honorable mentions.
tommy cresta: Mm-hmm.
ESPGolfTV: get shouted out. Personally, for me that I want to shout out, want shout out Jack Torrance, 100% from The Shining. I want shout Hannibal Lecter, favorite role of
tommy cresta: Anthony?
Ryan: and The options.
ESPGolfTV: Anthony Hopkins. There it is. want to shout out my boy leather face even though that's be worse freaking remake i've ever seen in fire
tommy cresta: I think the whole franchise is terrible.
Ryan: <unk> know
ESPGolfTV: The first movie, think, has just the way like it was filmed.
tommy cresta: I can't
ESPGolfTV: It almost looked real. like It looked so gritty and grummy. The way they filmed the first one, which is why I like it so much. And I loved mating him in Mortal Kombat X.
ESPGolfTV: So that's where it comes back to me a little bit there.
tommy cresta: Ah, that's fair.
Ryan: Yeah. I think the
ESPGolfTV: But I just wanted to throw out those honorable mentions. And Pinhead. And Pinhead, actually. One of
tommy cresta: Pinhead almost made my list, but he's the second scariest character in his own franchise.
Ryan: name i husband
tommy cresta: Chatterteeth scares the shit out of me.
Ryan: but scar island
ESPGolfTV: Only in the second movie, they ruined it.
tommy cresta: And my dad.
ESPGolfTV: Giving him eyes ruined it for me.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Because the actor said, I do can't see. he I want to see. And so they ruined the character for me, at least.
Ryan: i thought the really
ESPGolfTV: I liked it.
tommy cresta: I thought the remake wasn't horrible. The one that...
ESPGolfTV: No, I liked it.
Ryan: Yeah,
ESPGolfTV: I liked it lot.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Sure, gender swapping is the new thing that we do these days. Whatever.
tommy cresta: Yo, Jender Swan was dope in that, actually.
Ryan: Jennifer was joking about that.
tommy cresta: She looked creepy as hell.
Ryan: Creepy as hell.
ESPGolfTV: They work. They work for me. And I thought the end was super crazy. The rich guy
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, shit.
tommy cresta: Yeah, pull it through.
Ryan: Yeah, poor girl.
ESPGolfTV: I've been wanting to.
tommy cresta: Oh, my God.
Ryan: love them.
tommy cresta: I love those movies.
Ryan: I'm going go back
tommy cresta: I'm going to go back and rewatch all of them.
ESPGolfTV: My girlfriend just says we've seen them too many times, is bullshit. Number four for me. And again, I think number four and three are interchangeable. Number two and one are definitely my top two because number one is number one for me.
ESPGolfTV: So number four, I'm going with the bank. Okay.
Ryan: hmm
ESPGolfTV: the original thing, i I love the idea that you don't know what the fuck it is, where it came from, assholes were digging the ice and uncovered whatever that thing was, you don't know who it is, it can be anybody, just the twists back and forth of the entire, and the original one, wasn't a fan of the remake, but
Ryan: tonight
ESPGolfTV: for me the thing is just one of those extremely iconic movie monsters
ESPGolfTV: just i just go back every time you watch it was smart i just love that movie
tommy cresta: It is an iconic movie.
Ryan: My number four is going to be Ghostface.
tommy cresta: John Carpenter just came out the gate swinging and just wasn't missing.
ESPGolfTV: Dude, he's horror goat. Horror goat.
tommy cresta: Yeah, now he's making the Michael Myers video game. Right now.
ESPGolfTV: What?
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Yeah, with Unreal Engine.
ESPGolfTV: There you go.
tommy cresta: That game's going to be so much fun. How about you, Ryan?
Ryan: ah you ask
tommy cresta: What's your what's your number four?
Ryan: ah number four is gonna be ghost face
tommy cresta: number four is going to be Ghostface. I'm not choosing any one but
Ryan: not choosing any one of them, but just in general, ghost face, the, you know, the costumes iconic at this point.
tommy cresta: this point and the best part is the night's way these I can't stop doing I love the one that was that which one was this six yeah six with it at the same time that was cool to read movie was ass
Ryan: And the best part is the knife swipe. They just, they can't stop doing it. Um, I love the one in the, the newest, was that? Which one was this six? Yeah. Six when they do it at the same time.
ESPGolfTV: Thank
Ryan: That was just cool. Um, that movie gets sucked. Um, but yeah, ghost face is just cool.
tommy cresta: yeah cool I like it's always an actual piece of mystery in every movie trying to but just an iconic
Ryan: I liked it. It's always an actually decent mystery. Every movie. um Trying to figure out who it is. But just an iconic villain. Multiple villains doing the same thing.
Ryan: And just the fact that it was a real Halloween costume.
tommy cresta: and just the fact that it wasn't real costume they were like yeah that works yeah it would be cool yeah yeah and just became bigger itself so ghostface it's good one ghostface doesn't make my list no what was that newbie oh
Ryan: but They were like, yeah, that works. Let me just use that. Yeah. yeah And it just became bigger than itself. So Ghostface is going to be my number four. No? What was that?
ESPGolfTV: Doofy is the best ghost face.
Ryan: Newbie? no
Ryan: was that
ESPGolfTV: Doofy?
ESPGolfTV: Doofy was the best ghost face.
Ryan: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I'm scared of the one or two.
Ryan: Yeah, he's the
tommy cresta: nice scary movie callback um excited for the new one um
Ryan: I'm excited to do it.
ESPGolfTV: Finally.
tommy cresta: I hope it's good.
Ryan: I hope. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: We haven't had any of those type of movies in years.
tommy cresta: I know.
Ryan: Because I think it wanted to be the hardest school idea.
tommy cresta: Because I think we had Haunted House 1 and 2. That was like the last time they did like the horror spoof idea.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: Fingers crossed.
tommy cresta: Fingers crossed though. And kind of going off of Haunted House, my number 4 is Toby from the Paranormal Activity franchise.
Ryan: And kind of don't know how it's out. I don't know.
tommy cresta: Never actually see Toby once in these movies.
Ryan: Never actually would be black.
tommy cresta: Well, I've never watched the Mark ones, but I'm pretty sure Toby's not in that one.
Ryan: Well, I've never watched Warhols or Frasier Tunes. I don't know. The movie's the only one where I read it correctly.
tommy cresta: Toby's only in the first 4 if I remember correctly.
ESPGolfTV: I think you see him in those dimensions.
tommy cresta: Oh, yeah, because that's when they do like the black liquid version of him.
Ryan: Oh, yeah. That's when you get the black movie version of Warhols.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, I think you see him.
tommy cresta: That shit was dumb as rock.
Ryan: It's actually the dumbest.
tommy cresta: Oh, and then at the end, he's like human.
Ryan: Oh, yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, we don't see like his face or anything.
Ryan: Yeah. We also have a movie.
ESPGolfTV: No.
Ryan: Yeah, that movie.
ESPGolfTV: No.
tommy cresta: Yeah, that movie. I hate that movie. I love the first four, though.
Ryan: I love the first one, though.
tommy cresta: I think I think the stories.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
Ryan: think the story is...
tommy cresta: Yeah, i I love the first three are great because it's a late just one story.
Ryan: Yeah. I love the first thing. Yeah.
tommy cresta: It's just figuring out who the hell they're talking about when they keep talking about Toby, Toby, Toby.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
tommy cresta: But yeah, there's scenes in Paranoactivity that have stuck out in my brain forever.
Ryan: yeah
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Like anytime I see a light turn on, I think about it to be something swinging, anything like that.
Ryan: like and you trying to see a lecture roll
tommy cresta: And the effect it's had on me and my love for the paranormal and everything like that.
Ryan: and
tommy cresta: So yeah, Toby for me is number four.
Ryan: yeah it's
tommy cresta: The next three are solidified in their spots, just like Toby was.
Ryan: next
ESPGolfTV: What's the most iconic scene for you in all of the Paranormal Activity movies?
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Oh, when the, when they go, when he's like in the third, when he's trying to find the kids and the old women are in the barn, I legitimately yelled in my house.
Ryan: Oh, when they go- when he's like, everyone's trying to find the kids and farm, I legitimately yell in my house.
tommy cresta: I was so scared.
Ryan: I'm so scared.
ESPGolfTV: What? Dude,
tommy cresta: Or just the Micah scream when she gets yanked out of the room in the original one. It um it changed it.
ESPGolfTV: my the night screen was so scary. Dude, for me it's the baby's feet in night vision walking at the end of 2.
Ryan: the... Hmm.
ESPGolfTV: two
tommy cresta: Oh, yeah.
Ryan: Oh yeah.
ESPGolfTV: When everyone's dead and it's just the baby and then what's what's the girl's name again? The evil one?
tommy cresta: Yeah, the one.
Ryan: Yeah, the one.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, she she grabs him and takes him and then she's left and makes him.
tommy cresta: Yeah, she grabs him.
Ryan: Yeah, she grabbed him.
tommy cresta: Because then she snaps.
Ryan: Then she snapped.
tommy cresta: that Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
tommy cresta: Those movies are crazy.
Ryan: This movie's crazy.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Crazy. I love the Carmel City movies. Alright, dude.
tommy cresta: Yeah, so now we're into our top three.
Ryan: Yeah. Now we're inside Tomahari.
ESPGolfTV: Top three, honestly, they're solidified. I can't, wouldn't find any of them for, I was thinking three and two can swap, but no, no way. For three, I have the entity from It Follows.
Ryan: Mm.
tommy cresta: Mm.
ESPGolfTV: In my opinion, It Follows is the greatest horror film in modern era. In modern era.
tommy cresta: Holy.
ESPGolfTV: it Yeah, I think it's so scary, dude.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: not Nothing, i think, has made me... I screamed, I yelled in this scene with the fucking seven-foot-tall Tony Hawkeye who pulls out.
tommy cresta: Oh yeah, he leans under the door.
ESPGolfTV: Dude. And just the whole concept of the movie is so creepy. You never know who it is. You start hallucinating. Everyone's looking at you. Yeah, I have i number number three, it follows.
ESPGolfTV: i After watching that movie with my buddies, just how uneasy I felt is just such a good. Now we're making a sequel called They Follow.
ESPGolfTV: I don't know how I feel about a sequel. I'm more of a, if it's if it ain't broke, if it's already a modern classic, why actually ruin it?
tommy cresta: Yeah, why make more?
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: But hopefully it's
Ryan: love me
tommy cresta: I love Mika Monroe, and she just had long legs, and now she's going have that again.
Ryan: have
tommy cresta: so And the same director's coming back, and she's super excited to do it, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed on it.
Ryan: and see
ESPGolfTV: good.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. Yeah.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: I'm a huge fan of Longlist. I watched that, by the way. I thought it was going great, but then at the end, it just got too... don't like how they ended it, personally.
tommy cresta: I love that movie.
Ryan: totally
tommy cresta: That'd be my top ten of the year.
ESPGolfTV: First, 90% the film, all I thought it was great. and percent kind of All right. All right.
tommy cresta: that's what my dad That's exactly how my dad feels about it.
Ryan: thats my
tommy cresta: How about you, Ryan? What's your number three?
Ryan: My number three is going to be The Predator from The Predator.
tommy cresta: My number three is going be the Predator.
tommy cresta: and
Ryan: It's just awesome design.
tommy cresta: awesome design
Ryan: The and dreadlocks coming out, the mouth, the mandibles and everything.
tommy cresta: dread livess coming out the mal
ESPGolfTV: right
Ryan: But also, I think above all else, it's the sound.
tommy cresta: but also i think
Ryan: Just the clicking that he makes. That's the most iconic thing about him, in my opinion.
tommy cresta: that's the most
Ryan: Because you just, you hear that clicking noise. You're like, oh, fuck. I'm going to die. Unless I'm pregnant or unarmed, I am fucked.
tommy cresta: Unless I'm pregnant or unarmed, I am fucked.
Ryan: um Yeah, but just great movies in general.
tommy cresta: Yeah, but just great movies in general. Besides the, what was the one with the, not the new, not the new, not the not the new.
Ryan: Besides the, ah what was the, what was the one with the, like, new, not the new, not Prey. Prey was awesome.
tommy cresta: Predator?
Ryan: I did it.
ESPGolfTV: Don't tell me you're like predators.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Well, there's Predator and then there's Predators.
Ryan: No, Predators is pretty good.
tommy cresta: There's the one Shane Black made, which is not that bad.
Ryan: Predators. will
tommy cresta: Then there's one before that Adrian Brody.
Ryan: I like the Adrian Brody one is fun. The one, the newest one with like Olivia Munn.
tommy cresta: one
ESPGolfTV: was terrible.
tommy cresta: That's Shane Black. Olivia Munn. Yeah, Predators.
Ryan: Yeah. once
ESPGolfTV: So bad.
Ryan: Yeah. That
ESPGolfTV: So bad. With the super predator.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah ah was that one sucks. um But yeah, Prey was awesome.
tommy cresta: Yeah, Prey was awesome.
Ryan: I'm kind of cautiously excited for the new one because I think it could be cool, but doesn't look fantastic.
tommy cresta: I'm kind of cautiously excited for the new one because I think could be cool.
ESPGolfTV: I was
tommy cresta: And they're connecting the worlds again, is exciting. They're connecting the alien in them.
Ryan: Yeah, with Alien. Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah But the Predator is just awesome.
tommy cresta: The Predators.
Ryan: Just a badass. It's one of those cool like action horror movie characters that actually just works every time.
tommy cresta: cool
Ryan: So, love that. Love those movies. That's my number three.
tommy cresta: It's good one.
Ryan: Cool.
ESPGolfTV: discussion with my buddies about Predator. I love Predator. It's one of, I don't consider it horror, which is why it's not on my list. So I, it's in my top, top five all time characters as it but as it is but I was having this funny conversation with buddies where it's like they're supposed to be the most advanced hunting race in the galaxy and they lose a lot to a lot advanced people
Ryan: Yeah. No, yeah so I though.
tommy cresta: No, I was shocked that they are the Predator lost in Prey.
Ryan: Hmm. It's not we can't. It's not you can't.
tommy cresta: I thought for sure they were winning.
Ryan: But they did say it.
ESPGolfTV: dude I want you so you so good
Ryan: the
tommy cresta: Did either one of you watch the yet that just came out? I it pretty though.
Ryan: now hair is pretty good though yeah
tommy cresta: Yeah, had a pretty crazy post-credits scene setting up a future movie. It's not what we you think.
Ryan: so
ESPGolfTV: I love
tommy cresta: It's not Alien vs. Predator. They already confirmed that that's happening. But they did so it does set up like more story.
ESPGolfTV: Alien 1's Predator. and I think that Alvarez says he wants to collaborate with the director.
tommy cresta: Yeah, like do it together.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Favorite movie the year.
Ryan: I'm just kidding.
tommy cresta: Yeah, I'm so down. I think Romulus was fantastic.
Ryan: I think Ron was fantastic.
ESPGolfTV: Favorite movie of the year for me.
tommy cresta: I think it was my third, if I remember correctly.
Ryan: I think it was like third.
tommy cresta: Third.
ESPGolfTV: Top two alien movies for me of all time. I think it's better than Aliens. In my opinion.
tommy cresta: Ooh.
Ryan: Third. I just watched both of them.
tommy cresta: I just watched both of them yesterday.
ESPGolfTV: I think it's really nice.
tommy cresta: um Number three to me is the movie that's had the biggest impact on like scaring me and it's Bruce Jaws the shark.
Ryan: Every time I've got an audio folder,
tommy cresta: i Every time I've gotten in a body of water, It doesn't matter if I'm getting in a lake.
Ryan: It doesn't matter if I'm getting in LA. It doesn't matter if I'm getting pool.
tommy cresta: It doesn't matter if I'm getting in a pool. It doesn't matter getting in the ocean.
Ryan: It doesn't matter if I'm getting in pool.
tommy cresta: i think of this damn shark and it eating me.
Ryan: It doesn't matter if I'm getting in a pool. It doesn't matter I'm getting in pool.
tommy cresta: And i mean, it's one of the most influential films of all time.
Ryan: It doesn't matter I'm getting in a pool. It's of the most influential people I've ever seen.
tommy cresta: People who've seen it think about it every time they go in the water.
Ryan: People are trying to think about it.
tommy cresta: Yeah, that movie terrifies me.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah, that would be sad about me.
tommy cresta: It's probably my number two movie of all time.
Ryan: My environment is doing all the time.
tommy cresta: And I'm just obsessed with it.
Ryan: And I'm obsessed with
tommy cresta: But I don't love it much as my two and my number one.
Ryan: But don't live as much as say. Two and one.
tommy cresta: So now moving into number two, what do we got for you guys?
Ryan: So now we're waiting. Number two, what we have for you guys?
ESPGolfTV: Tommy, and I think you and are the same one and two movies of all time, just by hearing Just by hearing...
tommy cresta: Yeah, I think we talked about that when we were talking about it because I think it's Alien and Jaws have some slid up and probably beat past it apart in the last couple of years.
Ryan: Yeah, I think we're talking about it.
ESPGolfTV: think we're the same one.
Ryan: I think it's alien. it's part of it.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, so...
Ryan: went on
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, no, and and the cool thing about... Well, not the cool thing, sad thing about Jaws was it's the reason a lot of species shark went in danger and almost after that first movie came out part the huge
tommy cresta: Yeah, like a manhunt.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: weight hunters for for sharks, which is terrible.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: They're my favorite animal. Huge shark advocate.
tommy cresta: Yeah, big shark guy.
Ryan: Yeah. yeah
tommy cresta: Big shark week family.
Ryan: shot
ESPGolfTV: Baby shark. I never miss it. I have a huge shark tooth collection. i have a megalodon tooth.
tommy cresta: Holy shit.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, dude. I love sharks. I could go on forever on sharks and dinosaurs.
Ryan: but
ESPGolfTV: That's like my... You know how every dude has their obsession? That's like my special
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Um, and Dragon Ball. Anyway, so my number two, my number two is Bruce.
Ryan: Yeah,
ESPGolfTV: That's my number two.
tommy cresta: Oh, we go.
ESPGolfTV: The iconic, uh, just music behind it. i don't know how they managed to make it so perfect in the first movie. You barely see him. And when you do see him, it looks real.
ESPGolfTV: Dude, the scene in the bay where it's, um, the cop's son,
tommy cresta: Yeah, Michael.
ESPGolfTV: like um like the banana go whatever and it's that other dude ah falls off and
tommy cresta: Yeah, he's...
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: either side profile the shark mouth open kind of go under, hey, dude, chills, chills. Great film.
tommy cresta: I love Jaws 2. I know it's like a hot take. I think Jaws 2 is – it's nowhere close to the first one.
Ryan: no
tommy cresta: The first one is almost a perfect movie. Jaws 2 though scared me because when I did like the parasailing little thing, I thought about the scene where they keep dunking them in the war and then the shark – oh my god.
Ryan: yeah like not people
tommy cresta: Jaws 1 and 2 are like movies I've probably seen 100 times each.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, i've seen I've seen Jaws upwards of 100 times for sure.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: I watched the shit out those movies.
ESPGolfTV: Great film, love it. It's because of Jaws, I watch every new shark movie that comes out.
tommy cresta: And you're just as disappointed every time.
ESPGolfTV: So every time, like, what, Shark Night?
Ryan: And just the point every time. Yeah. So bad, dude.
ESPGolfTV: remember watching that in theaters in my best friend.
Ryan: I couldn't think of it.
tommy cresta: Shark night in 3D.
Ryan: I love it.
tommy cresta: I made him watch it at like 10 in the morning down the shore.
Ryan: Yeah, they play.
ESPGolfTV: I bought it in the freaking Blockbuster Blue Off sale 10 years ago.
Ryan: yes
ESPGolfTV: I bought Shark Night. A terrible, terrible movie, but I thought it was movie, but it was classic.
Ryan: so bad dude
tommy cresta: The shallows wasn't horrible.
Ryan: ah show
ESPGolfTV: And then
tommy cresta: um I could have been because...
ESPGolfTV: That looking bad. It's not a big...
tommy cresta: I loved Blake Lively in a bikini, I think, when I was 15.
Ryan: i
tommy cresta: That could have been the whole thing.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: mean, it's not hard to be bad.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: I didn't... The way end it ended was funny. Just the way with the shark just kind of rammed into a bunch of rebar.
tommy cresta: Yeah, it's on fire, and it's CGI'd like a motherfucker.
Ryan: yeah yeah
ESPGolfTV: No, but that, Deep Blue, is...
tommy cresta: God.
ESPGolfTV: I love that movie so much. It's so bad. It's so bad, it's good. Samuel Jackson just yelling and giving you everything in every movie. And then, first CGI shark you've ever seen.
Ryan: Oh, me and
ESPGolfTV: What else?
ESPGolfTV: what else I you guys have seen the new one. Dangerous Animals.
tommy cresta: Dangerous. yeah Me and him already, me have been saying it's going terrible.
ESPGolfTV: I just watched it. I watched it opening night with my girlfriend. And I didn't like it.
Ryan: to be terrible.
ESPGolfTV: It's not terrible. It's not a terrible movie i just thought for a movie where i thought the premise was very cool, very original. Serial killer who uses sharks to kill and his victims.
ESPGolfTV: I thought that was sick. And he himself is a shark attack survivor, which is, i guess, where his whole thing comes back from. You don't see that many sharks, man. Like, they they really cheap out on the sharks. Like, you see them from up top, you see the fins.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: And at the end, there's a great white you see for one second. And then it's a big split. And usually the Great White horrible CGI, so you see why don't see that.
tommy cresta: Yeah, like it was just a budget concern.
Ryan: Yeah. That was a good one.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. So, yeah, number two, go us.
tommy cresta: That's the worst feeling. That's good one. My number two would be Michael Myers.
Ryan: a go My number two is going to be Michael Myers from Halloween.
tommy cresta: From Halloween, another Matt Carpenter.
Ryan: Another Matt Carpenter. Like you said, he's the GOAT.
tommy cresta: John Carpenter? Matt Carpenter's the second baseman.
Ryan: Yep, Matt Carpenter.
tommy cresta: Speaking of baseball, Craig Turner and Humphrey, take that.
Ryan: He is a second baseman. um Speaking of baseball, Trey Turner, Homer, take that in the first inning. um
tommy cresta: Oh.
Ryan: Yeah, but Mike Myers is just the best horror villain.
tommy cresta: Yeah, but Mike Myers is the best Carter villain.
Ryan: I mean, he's just the definition of evil.
tommy cresta: mean, he's just the definition of evil. He's not my number one, but the definition evil.
Ryan: He's not my number one, but the definition of evil like
tommy cresta: Like, you have, like, your, where you phrase, you know, his poking ass.
Ryan: You have like your your Jason Voorhees where he's just like this hulking mass. and it's like He's scary because he's just huge and runs.
tommy cresta: It's like, he's scary because he runs that.
Ryan: ah He doesn't run.
tommy cresta: He doesn't want it, but.
Ryan: The remake he runs.
tommy cresta: Yeah, he does. The remake is. But, um.
Ryan: It teleports sometimes.
tommy cresta: teleports.
ESPGolfTV: So bad. So bad.
tommy cresta: and
Ryan: Depends on what you believe. um but Mike Myers just walks everywhere. he's just He's terrifying. You can't stop him ever. um Just the definition of evil. Great in the first movie.
Ryan: Fun in the second movie. and Then the Danny McBride requel. equal was good The first one was good. Halloween Kills is kind of fun, but it's not great. And Halloween Ends is the biggest piece of dog shit I've ever seen in my life.
Ryan: But, um yeah.
ESPGolfTV: yeah so bad so
Ryan: It's horrible. It starts at peak and the late goes like that. love that first movie.
ESPGolfTV: I think your mic's off.
Ryan: The first movie's great. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Tommy, I think your mic's off.
Ryan: Yeah, you're muted.
tommy cresta: I'm muted, actually.
Ryan: I'm muted, actually.
ESPGolfTV: There you go. No, was...
tommy cresta: My bad.
Ryan: My bad.
ESPGolfTV: The three new ones that they came out with, the first one out of the three new ones, to me, was fantastic.
tommy cresta: Yep.
ESPGolfTV: I loved it. I thought it was great.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, no, I think that was ah it was the best way to do a recall.
Ryan: Yeah, no, I think that was the best way.
tommy cresta: My number two is also Michael Myers.
Ryan: My number two is also Michael Myers.
tommy cresta: Up until literally...
Ryan: Up until literally
tommy cresta: Two years ago, was probably my number one.
Ryan: two years ago, was probably my number one.
tommy cresta: And then I found a new love in the horror genre that I think is the best version of a horror villain.
Ryan: I found the new Love and the Horror John.
Ryan: Best version of a horror. villain
tommy cresta: But I'll get to that.
Ryan: get to that michael myers is like com
tommy cresta: Michael Myers is iconic. The first movie is in my top ten of all time. I absolutely love it.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: And yeah, Ryan already said enough.
Ryan: yeah mike ryaner is said no itships up
tommy cresta: It's just a perfect horror slasher.
ESPGolfTV: Nice. Nice.
tommy cresta: But yeah, now we're down to our number one best horror villain's
Ryan: yeah yeah we're down to our number one
tommy cresta: And yeah, starting off with you.
Ryan: yeah up with you
ESPGolfTV: For me, it's unanimous. Like, it's not even a question. This wasn't even something that was hard for me to come up with. It's the xenomorph. Like, that's number one. The xenomorph's number one. I mean, it's the perfect life form, quite literally.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: does not lose
tommy cresta: The perfect organism.
Ryan: so
ESPGolfTV: It wins every single time. I think it's terrifying. Just everything behind it. I also want to just put this out there.
ESPGolfTV: Covenant's the biggest piece of dog shit to ever happen.
Ryan: Whoa!
tommy cresta: Whoa! That is a wild take.
Ryan: That's a wild take.
ESPGolfTV: I don't think that's that crazy of a take. I think Covenant ruins a lot of it. So i in my head canon, Covenant doesn't exist.
tommy cresta: Well, they're making a sequel to
Ryan: Well, they're making a sequel to it.
ESPGolfTV: They're making this sequel to Covenant or Ron?
tommy cresta: Yeah, Ridley Scott's coming back to doing a one for Covenant and then Fetty Alvarez doing a sequel to Romulus.
Ryan: Yeah, but at least Scott's coming back. And then there's sequel. Hmm.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, i think I think Ridley Scott's got to stay away from his own franchise. He's doing what a lot of great directors do when they don't know when to quit, which is ruining their own shit. That's what happened in Star Wars, in my opinion.
ESPGolfTV: I think just Xenomorph... before covenant i to explain you don't know what it is. You don't know where it came from. You don't know why it's so aggressive.
ESPGolfTV: It stalks everyone. and picks you off one by one. It's, for the most part, like, resistant to everything except fire, which, I mean, unless you're, don't how they had a flamethrower, they had a flamethrower, right?
ESPGolfTV: But it just doesn't die. Like, it just keeps coming. And it and it comes from, like, little worm thing that it starts and then just turns into this fucking giant predator.
tommy cresta: Yeah, because it ages at like an insane speed.
Ryan: Yeah, because the ages are insane.
ESPGolfTV: It doesn't need to eat. doesn't need to drink. It just wants to kill. It wants to kill everything. And I personally love it so much. And Covenant fucking ruined the mystery behind it.
ESPGolfTV: You tell me Waylon created it? Like, that's so stupid.
tommy cresta: no ah No, you find out Prometheus that it comes from like the big disgusting thing.
Ryan: No, it becomes disgusting.
ESPGolfTV: No, that's the deacon. Yeah,
tommy cresta: Oh, I forgot the demons are the little ones.
Ryan: Oh, no.
ESPGolfTV: yeah that's the deacon. the The xenomorph was created David.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
Ryan: Because there is technically something new or, like forms.
tommy cresta: Because there is technically, it's like 60 something xenomorphs.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, I think...
tommy cresta: Like forms. I went through like a whole thing of them one day.
Ryan: I went through like a whole
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. No, no, yeah, no. It's the deacon, which, you know, canada canonically, it turned into a mountain, which, I don't know.
Ryan: thing. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Maybe. Take that what you will. The deacon that you see at the end of Prometheus, it turns into a mountain. And Prometheus fucking slams. I love that movie. But it's the xenomorph, the protomorph, more the predmorph, the xenopredator or whatever.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Predator cross thing, yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I love that one.
tommy cresta: There's one that's bigger than what we see in Alien vs.
Ryan: There's one that's bigger than what we see in Alien vs.
tommy cresta: Predator.
Ryan: Legendary. There's this giant version.
tommy cresta: There's this giant version. It's like they say it's the size of a planet that lives in space.
Ryan: It's like, they say it's a tiny planet that lives in space.
tommy cresta: It's in like an anime.
Ryan: It's in like an island.
tommy cresta: It is wild.
ESPGolfTV: That's crazy. I haven't even seen that one.
Ryan: It is wild.
tommy cresta: it's I mean, it just wraps around the Earth.
Ryan: I mean, it's rational in the Earth.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: It's so cool.
Ryan: It's so cool. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: That's crazy. And then there's obviously the crocodiles, the Enomorph that fights Batman.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: yeah Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I don't know if you guys saw Batman.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: There's the white ones from Covenant, which I thought were really cool to see.
Ryan: help them
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, Enomorphs.
tommy cresta: Yeah, those things were frightening looking.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: That's a great scene when you first get introduced to all of them.
Ryan: that's a great
ESPGolfTV: Yeah,
ESPGolfTV: yeah I like it. I mean, and again, i I hate the fact that David created it. I like not knowing where they come from.
tommy cresta: Yeah, it's kind of like Rob Zombie's Halloween.
Ryan: <unk>s coming how
tommy cresta: People hated knowing Michael's full story.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, so, but Undeniable, number one.
tommy cresta: I hate that movie.
ESPGolfTV: I love the Xenomorph. I think aliening Alien is my favorite film of all time. Xenomorph, number one.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: What's your number one? It's phenomenal choice.
Ryan: It's a phenomenal choice. It's the Xenomorph.
tommy cresta: yeah I mean, it has number one.
Ryan: I mean, it it has to be number one. you I can't say anything more than you said.
tommy cresta: I can't say anything.
Ryan: It's just the best. It's the coolest thing.
tommy cresta: It's the coolest thing.
Ryan: The design is just perfect in every single way.
tommy cresta: The design is just perfect in every single way.
ESPGolfTV: It's big play.
Ryan: and like It's the perfect predator.
tommy cresta: It's the perfect predator.
Ryan: Even when it dies, its blood is acidic.
tommy cresta: Even when it dies, it's blood. It's acid. It doesn't matter.
Ryan: You still die. It doesn't matter.
tommy cresta: Like,
Ryan: like it's It's just the coolest creature ever. Well, shit, I think
tommy cresta: Well, shit, I think the first time in almost 200 episodes and 30-something rankings, it's an agreement across all three that the Xenomorph is the best horror villain.
Ryan: first time in almost 200 episodes, 30 seconds. It's an agreement across all three that the Xenomorph is the best audio we know.
tommy cresta: and
Ryan: And is, it's the best audio we know.
tommy cresta: It is. It's the best thing in the world. It's the perfect organism.
Ryan: It's the perfect audio.
tommy cresta: It's terrifying looking.
Ryan: It's terrifying. It sounds great.
tommy cresta: It sounds scary. Facehuggers create them, which makes them even more creepy.
Ryan: Facehawker is really dumb. It makes it even more creepy.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Facehuggers are disgusting looking things.
Ryan: Facehawker is disgusting and ugly.
tommy cresta: The little versions of them are ugly.
Ryan: A little version of the ugly.
tommy cresta: They can fight the Predator.
Ryan: They can fight the Predator, they can fight Batman, or it's not a part of the creature.
ESPGolfTV: yeah
tommy cresta: They fight Batman. What is not perfect about this creature?
Ryan: It's even more often.
tommy cresta: Xenomorph awesome. and it's
Ryan: It goes in video games, and it's just a scary one against it.
tommy cresta: First off, it goes in video games and it's just as scary playing against it. It's great in books, everything.
ESPGolfTV: Dude.
Ryan: It's great in books.
tommy cresta: Alien is the best sci-fi franchise to me.
Ryan: Alien is the best sci-fi I've ever seen. Because I don't count as far as sci-fi film, Star Wars, space opera, like that.
tommy cresta: Because I don't count Star Wars as sci-fi. Star Wars is space opera, technically.
ESPGolfTV: Star Wars is hot garbage after the prequel that made.
tommy cresta: We might need to have him on to do a whole Star Wars episode.
ESPGolfTV: 7, 8, and 9.
tommy cresta: Yeah, got talk again.
Ryan: Yeah, we got to talk again.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Funny, my stepdad is a diehard Star Wars fan. He has an autographed Darth Vader picture. He's got like every Star
ESPGolfTV: birthdays like star wars <unk> head the legohead star wars whatever
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: i don't know to fit sorry I'm a huge episode 3 guy, don't get me
tommy cresta: Oh, you gotta come back on and talk Star Wars, man.
Ryan: Oh, you got to come back on the stars. Yeah, we got probably the
tommy cresta: This is gonna be a whole different episode.
ESPGolfTV: wrong. But other than that, I think Disney just ruined that, dude.
tommy cresta: Yeah, you you got probably the biggest Star Wars person I know in Ryan, and then one of the biggest Episode 3 defenders in me.
Ryan: biggest starter for the time. I hope this is great. One of the biggest episodes in three
ESPGolfTV: rocks, dude. Dude, mean,
tommy cresta: Episode 3 does rock, Ryan.
Ryan: that I've ever seen.
tommy cresta: You see? said
Ryan: Episode four is the best. i don't really care.
tommy cresta: No, it's not.
Ryan: No, it's...
ESPGolfTV: i Personally, i don't think any of the originals are any good. Like, I like, you
tommy cresta: Whoa! Whoa, that is a wild thing.
Ryan: Whoa! Now we can fight together. Whoa!
ESPGolfTV: know, for the time, for the time that they came out, they're great. But dude, looking at them now, like, and it's not coming from like, oh, this guy is, just watch this modern movie. I'm a huge fan of like, OG, like, Alien, 1978 or whatever, it's favorite film of all time.
ESPGolfTV: But I just, again, it's about a dude who fucks his sister and his dad's acting...
Ryan: all the
tommy cresta: Whoa, they never have sex.
ESPGolfTV: Alright, whatever.
Ryan: They only kiss one time.
tommy cresta: They only kiss one time.
Ryan: It's not that creepy.
tommy cresta: It's not that creepy.
tommy cresta: I'm so clenching, Matt.
ESPGolfTV: It's pretty creepy.
Ryan: and No. so Do you remember the one time we were watching?
tommy cresta: And we were watching his dad walk down to do laundry or something and then sat and watched with us once at like two minutes.
Ryan: and we were watching Empire Strikes Back in your basement, and his his dad walked down to do laundry or something and then sat and watched with us for one second, like two minutes. And then they kiss, and he just goes, ew, and walks back upstairs.
tommy cresta: And then they kissed and he just goes, you
Ryan: He was just waiting just to do that.
tommy cresta: just waiting
ESPGolfTV: No, I...
Ryan: God.
ESPGolfTV: Listen, I think Empire's the best out of the three original movies. mean, I don't think that's really a hot take. I think pretty much everyone agrees with that.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: It's universal.
ESPGolfTV: But the first two, I think, were the most boring movies ever to get through. Like, I couldn't. I thought they were super slow. i thought they were slow burns. And if we go to the sequels, or the prequels, I mean, why was a freaking slow burn. That shit was slow.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: That was
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Two's an even slower burn.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, I was even, I don't know how they made it even slower than the 1970s. And then, personally, I like 2. I like 2 a lot.
tommy cresta: Oh, my.
Ryan: Oh, my God. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: I like the War 2.
tommy cresta: The credibility is going down.
ESPGolfTV: I like when they were all fighting. Listen, I'm of the belief that Star Wars should be Jedi all over the place fighting. That's why I like the Old Republic stuff.
ESPGolfTV: The Old Republic shit's sick. This whole way that Disney's going, we're like, oh, every Jedi's dead.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: Now we're just going, every every show that we do, every movie that we do is bounty hunter shit. I think it's so boring. Like, I don't like that. I like Republic, guns of light, lightsabers everywhere. I can go deep into Star Wars that way. can deep into Star Wars that way.
tommy cresta: Yeah, that's that might have to be its own episode we go on into now, because now we know we have something else we can all argue about.
Ryan: and um yes all that Just sit down and argue for five hours. because you
tommy cresta: Unedited.
ESPGolfTV: I'm at an end with this fight fest. I mean, what's your favorite Star Wars character? Don't ask that.
Ryan: an isn right
tommy cresta: there' an and There's a right answer to this question.
Ryan: There is a right answer.
tommy cresta: There is a right
Ryan: ah Babu Freak is pretty cool.
tommy cresta: answer. Babu Freak is her.
Ryan: He's the man. now um
tommy cresta: Who doesn't love Babu Freak? it
Ryan: It's just so funny. No, I mean, Luke's great.
tommy cresta: No, mean, Luke's great. I mean, I think, genuinely, you're asking favorite character, it has to be Darth Vader.
Ryan: I mean, I think, genuinely, if you're asking favorite character, it has to be Darth Vader. I mean, he's the greatest villain of all time.
tommy cresta: He's the greatest villain of all time.
Ryan: Like, come on, dude. you know
tommy cresta: Xenomorph beats Darth Vader in a one-on-one.
ESPGolfTV: Alright, let me ask you genuinely.
Ryan: No.
tommy cresta: No.
Ryan: Vader's just gonna pick him up and throw him out into space.
tommy cresta: Vader's just gonna pick him and throw all out of his face.
Ryan: It's over. It's done. Just, nope, fuck you.
tommy cresta: Just no, fuck you.
ESPGolfTV: What have we seen in the and episode 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, forget everything else, what have we seen Darth Vader actually do?
tommy cresta: Dog a bunch of kids.
Ryan: all good yeah waste all
tommy cresta: Wait, pause.
Ryan: one
ESPGolfTV: We saw Anthony in episode 3 murder a bunch of four-year-olds.
Ryan: got it
tommy cresta: That's not how I meant it.
Ryan: You gotta rephrase that, man.
ESPGolfTV: And lose to Obi-Wan the coolest fight scene of all time. But what have we seen him do in the movies?
tommy cresta: Second best fight scene of all time.
ESPGolfTV: Everyone calls him the greatest villain all time.
tommy cresta: He dogs Luke.
ESPGolfTV: don't get
Ryan: Dog loop?
ESPGolfTV: He's sick.
Ryan: It does dog loop.
tommy cresta: He does dogs Luke.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. What do you
Ryan: Dog's everyone.
tommy cresta: Dogs Obi-Wan.
Ryan: Dog's the empire. but Dog's the empire.
tommy cresta: Dogs the Emperor.
Ryan: I'm
ESPGolfTV: I think that's why he's good at the end. So that's not him being a villain. That's him being a good guy again.
tommy cresta: Well, the villain awards emperor.
Ryan: not going to defend you that one.
ESPGolfTV: yeah When we talk about Obi-Wan.
Ryan: Oh, we want to let him in.
tommy cresta: It's two sides of every coin.
Ryan: Sure. No.
tommy cresta: Obi-Wan
ESPGolfTV: Obi-Wan let him win at the end there.
Ryan: but we want to let
tommy cresta: did it. Obi-Wan.
Ryan: sure that's all yeah
tommy cresta: Let's all be honest. Obi-Wan was not winning that fight no matter what he tried.
Ryan: no man
tommy cresta: That man had stiff bones.
ESPGolfTV: So did Darth Vader. That whole fight, that fight was so bad.
Ryan: yeah help
tommy cresta: Yo, Darth Vader. Well, yeah, the fight scene is not great.
ESPGolfTV: I'm so mad.
tommy cresta: They also had a budget of like nothing.
Ryan: yes
ESPGolfTV: Have seen the YouTube remake of that fight?
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Yeah, that's awesome.
Ryan: Yeah. i have.
ESPGolfTV: It's so good.
Ryan: It's pretty cool.
tommy cresta: Obi-Wan wasn't moving around like that.
Ryan: No. No. Yeah. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Nah. No. Okay. I don't know.
tommy cresta: But see, it's not it's hard to like, if you're just going off that, because they're what Vader's whole point was to not show him so much in the beginning, because he only has, what, seven minutes in the first one, and like 12 minutes in the second one, so that's 19 minutes of screen time.
Ryan: is what you just go love that showing so much
Ryan: yeah
Ryan: go end down you
tommy cresta: But when now when you make Ahsoka, which is not a good show, and Obi-Wan aren't good shows, you get more of that Vader that you see, where he's snapping 12-year-old boy's necks, and then he's going in down the walkway in Rogue One,
Ryan: so
Ryan: each get
Ryan: and Oh, yeah, yeah,
tommy cresta: manhandling people with one hand.
ESPGolfTV: map the best Vader scene we've ever had.
tommy cresta: Yeah, which I...
Ryan: yeah. oh Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: That third time.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: Tony Gilroy wants to make a Vader horror movie where Vader's just hunting down people.
Ryan: you know
ESPGolfTV: I don't know how we haven't had a rated R Vader movie. Just give us a rated R
tommy cresta: Oh my god, head's just being chopped.
ESPGolfTV: alright Start it right when he finds out Padme's dead, and then just fucking give us two hours after that, whatever the fuck happens. Just have him hold his drink.
tommy cresta: I want to see him go to Padme's grave still when he tries to take his own life.
Ryan: Yeah, just going through. Oh, yeah. know what you're talking about.
tommy cresta: When he takes the helmet off and he like goes and sees her.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. I want to see the back.
tommy cresta: We're never getting that shit.
ESPGolfTV: I want to see the back of the tank. I want to see... What's that form in the comics where it's like the most powerful version of Vader or T.
Ryan: oh yeah
tommy cresta: oh yeah
Ryan: and know what you're talking about
tommy cresta: talk
ESPGolfTV: but that should would be sick guys want to see him fuck some people up i haven't haven't seen
tommy cresta: Yeah, cause you see it in Rogue One you're like, I need three hours of this hallway of him just tossing people.
Ryan: excuse three Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: God. Very
ESPGolfTV: They just give us these little things, but Disney's more worried about whatever they're worried about, think.
Ryan: hard. Whoa!
tommy cresta: Trying to stay afloat.
Ryan: Thunderbolt's banging.
tommy cresta: Just some negative numbers.
ESPGolfTV: They're having a hard time right now.
Ryan: It was beautiful. got
ESPGolfTV: and Every movie since Endgame been trash, especially.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: very are
Ryan: oh
tommy cresta: Whoa!
Ryan: um
tommy cresta: Thunderbolts was a banger.
ESPGolfTV: but Yeah, dude, it was just the same formula. It was good. was good, it's the same formula.
tommy cresta: It was beautiful.
ESPGolfTV: My problem with Marvel is it all just feels like the completely rebo
Ryan: no
tommy cresta: Isn't that what this is going to be?
ESPGolfTV: right
ESPGolfTV: so like get the next thing and continue the storyline that makes no sense.
tommy cresta: yeah Yeah, it also doesn't help with the whole...
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah, and it also helped the whole, they were tired us so much.
tommy cresta: They were trying to put out so much.
Ryan: Yeah.
tommy cresta: So I'm happy, because I liked Thunderbolts, because Thunderbolts at least didn't follow, just to say, it followed, it became more like,
Ryan: So I'm happy, because I like Thunderbolts, because Thunderbolts didn't follow the state of the technology, it became more mental, I don't know.
tommy cresta: mental what was going on but then you see like the marvels which was just terrible so i'm hoping they can follow more than thunderbolts and let people have their creative freedom because the director came out said he's like i had to do nothing like the post-credits scenes were filmed on a different set had nothing to with my movie and that's what made the first for phases of marvel so good is that they let it be its own film that the post-credits scene was like oh just remember like this is where we're going enough
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: But then the model, which was just terrible. So
Ryan: and that's what he <unk> own postre oh so
ESPGolfTV: Yeah. and And it turned into like every movie you have to watch a million freaking Disney Plus shows to be able to go to the next movie.
tommy cresta: yeah
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: And I mean, again, I personally, I know my credibility is about a skyrocket or if it's about a crash down even more. i think No Way Home is a bad movie.
ESPGolfTV: I think it's a bad movie.
Ryan: It's not the best movie ever written.
ESPGolfTV: And I...
tommy cresta: It's not the best movie ever written, but it still gave me one of the happiest moments of my life in that theater when I saw Andrew Garfield.
Ryan: But it's going to be more the happiest most of my life in that theater when I saw Andrew Rutherford.
ESPGolfTV: And that's so fair. And that's so fair. And it gave it to me also. I'm sure it gave it to everyone else. Spider-Man's my third favorite superhero of all time. It is... Seeing them all three on screen at the same time is great.
ESPGolfTV: The movie bad. The writing was bad.
tommy cresta: it's the It's better than the second one in that franchise, that trilogy.
Ryan: It's the, it's better than the second one of that theater. I like the first one.
ESPGolfTV: Well, don't think Tom Holland's movies have been good, in my opinion.
Ryan: I
ESPGolfTV: Like, I don't think any of them been
tommy cresta: like the first one because I like the Vulture.
Ryan: can't wait for the first one. but that's good
tommy cresta: I think it was cool for me to finally see him on screen stuff like that.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: cool villain. He's cool villain.
tommy cresta: But the only problem with his trilogy Iron Man.
Ryan: own
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: Kind of like at first is like it's taking his movie off of him.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: They just always, he always has a mentor. Like he, no one's letting him be himself. it
tommy cresta: Oh because I guess he doesn't have a mentor.
ESPGolfTV: It Iron Man, the first movie, Mysterio, the second movie, the other Spider-Man, or no, Doctor Strange, the third movie.
tommy cresta: Never doesn't have a mentor.
Ryan: yeah
ESPGolfTV: And now this fourth movie, it's going to be Bruce Banner is going to be his new mentor.
tommy cresta: God, can we just make a main Spider-Man 3?
Ryan: yeah Just make a main square.
tommy cresta: That's all I'm saying.
Ryan: That's all I'm saying.
tommy cresta: Best Spider-Man.
Ryan: Best sweater man. Don't care.
tommy cresta: Don't care.
ESPGolfTV: Which one?
tommy cresta: Andrew Garfield.
Ryan: Andrew Garfield, best sweater man right there.
tommy cresta: Best Spider-Man right there.
Ryan: Alongside the best daredevil.
tommy cresta: Alongside the best Daredevil and the best Batman.
ESPGolfTV: I don't know about that.
Ryan: You can't fix stupid. I don't know
tommy cresta: What, is yours the one behind Ryan?
Ryan: What, is yours the one behind you?
ESPGolfTV: Yeah, yeah. toby Toby's the ghost, though.
tommy cresta: Yeah.
Ryan: Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Toby's still...
Ryan: Toby's doing the fire on
tommy cresta: Toby's movies are terrible.
ESPGolfTV: Toby just throws hands, bro. Toby just throws hands.
tommy cresta: yeah Oh, yeah.
Ryan: you. Oh, yeah.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
tommy cresta: First off, Andrew Garfield throws some hands.
Ryan: First off, Andrew Garth is going to hurt some hands.
tommy cresta: No, but he doesn't punch like Andrew Garfield, Toby, beating Doc Ock from the bell tower.
ESPGolfTV: Yeah.
Ryan: No, but he doesn't punch like Toby beating Doc Ock on the bell tower. Just throw and fist out.
tommy cresta: just throws. Yeah, to a normal human being that doesn't take any pain.
Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.
ESPGolfTV: He beat up...
tommy cresta: The dude doesn't have superpowers.
Ryan: just
ESPGolfTV: He beat up Sandman and Venom.
Ryan: yeah
tommy cresta: ah that's ah That's a weak take.
Ryan: that
tommy cresta: He gets his assh chewed out by Venom.
Ryan: now
ESPGolfTV: Okay, well, I mean, Venom's whole thing was he was just allergic to, like, car bells. But, don't know. I think Andrew Garfield... Dude, he just... In the second movie, it opens up with him allowing the frickin' Rhino to kill, like, 100 people.
ESPGolfTV: Because he was...
Ryan: Well, that opening is one of the best of the ancient superhero kids to bring.
tommy cresta: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
ESPGolfTV: Never did he do it.
tommy cresta: That opening is one of the best openings in superhero history.
ESPGolfTV: Him falling, also where the fuck did he jump from? Because he fell from like 50,000 feet in the air.
Ryan: It's a superhero deposit in 20 more labs.
tommy cresta: It's a superhero movie. You're watching a dude swing from webs.
ESPGolfTV: Him falling and then swinging with every everyone in the streets yelling at him like, hey, there goes Spidey, sick.
Ryan: I almost there.
tommy cresta: So you're wondering where he's jumping from.
Ryan: on
ESPGolfTV: Him landing on the freaking semi and doing quips instead of stopping the guy that murders like 150 people.
tommy cresta: He's Spider-Man, that's what he does!
Ryan: He's smart ass who does! He is!
ESPGolfTV: He could do that while he's stopping.
tommy cresta: He is!
Ryan: He gave his parents!
tommy cresta: he was getting his bearings.
ESPGolfTV: oh
Ryan: He's probably very good to get thrown out.
tommy cresta: He's probably very dizzy after all that.
ESPGolfTV: I thought the first one was terrible. I thought the motivations turn everyone into lizards.
tommy cresta: You're crazy.
Ryan: You're crazy. There's no...
tommy cresta: There's no...
Ryan: We're not making you smart way to get
tommy cresta: We're not making a Star Wars episode.
ESPGolfTV: like What are we doing?
tommy cresta: He's a nut job!
Ryan: him. He's a smart guy!
ESPGolfTV: What are we doing? And then the second movie just crammed absolutely every Spider-Man storyline, every Spider-Man villain, every freaking...
tommy cresta: Wait, we can't say that when Spider-Man 3 exists.
Ryan: way know and
tommy cresta: It's the most crammed movie ever.
Ryan: I hate saying that.
ESPGolfTV: I think
tommy cresta: And he dances in the most embarrassing sequence in possibly superhero history.
Ryan: and no pattern possibly
ESPGolfTV: ah sir i think that's one of the most iconic sequences in Supergirl.
tommy cresta: Spider-Man 3 might be the worst superhero movie ever. There's one good scene in that entire movie, and it's when he fights Goblin in the air.
Ryan: there's one and it's when
tommy cresta: Because I loved that scene as a kid. And knew Goblin's dope.
Ryan: and income
ESPGolfTV: That was good. I did like New Goblin. I mean Batman Forever still exists.
tommy cresta: I hate Sandman, that movie.
Ryan: Whoa, whoa, whoa!
tommy cresta: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Batman Forever is a gem.
Ryan: Batman forever is a man.
tommy cresta: Batman and Robin is terrible.
Ryan: Batman probably is a terrible one.
tommy cresta: well Batman Forever has some great scenes.
