Speaker: Can you find the connection between the 2025 Grammy winning song by SZA, the moon Titan and Saturday? We'll reveal the answer at the end of this episode.
Speaker: Hey guys welcome to the Trivia Twins podcast. I'm Andi. And I'm Dani. We'll be your hosts. Today, the theme is Famous Capricorns. We'll be asking questions about famous people born between December 22nd and January 19th.
Speaker: Before we get into our fun fact of the week, we wanted to remind you that if you'd like to show your support for our show, you can buy us a coffee. Yes, if you buy us a coffee, we'll create a trivia episode with your topic of choice. Just submit a note with your requested topic and we'll include that for you in a future episode.
Speaker: The link is in the show notes. Now for our fun fact of the day. Did you know that Capricorns are the most likely zodiac sign to win gold at the Olympics?
Speaker: Yes, apparently 2023 data analysis conducted by Run Repeat found that Capricorns win gold about 1.7 times more than any other zodiac sign. It's no surprise because Capricorns are known for their ambition, loyalty, and dedication to their goals.
Speaker: They actually win more silver and bronze medals too, but it's more stark in the gold medal analysis. And it's very interesting in the U.S. because Capricorns are one of the least common zodiac signs.
Speaker: So who are some of these famous gold-winning Capricorn U.S. Olympians? Gabby Douglas, who became the first black woman to win gold in and the gymnastics all around, is a Capricorn. She made history at the 2012 London Olympics.
Speaker: And another gymnast, Sean Johnson, won a gold medal in 2008 at the Beijing Olympics for the balance beam. Boxers George Foreman and Muhammad Ali also won gold medals and both are Capricorns.
Speaker: There's definitely something to the Capricorn being represented by the goat and being the greatest of all time. Agreed. And I mean, we're Capricorns, so maybe we'll win gold at the Olympics someday. yeah I doubt that.
Speaker: All right, let's jump into a quick round of this or that based on today's theme.
Speaker: This or That, R&B Songs by Capricorn Singers, Family Affair by Mary J. Blige, or Are You That Somebody by Aaliyah. Oh, goodness. I remember jamming out to Family Affair back in the day. So yeah I'm going to go with that one. That is a very catchy song.
Speaker: That was very popular too when it came out. um I think I have to go with Are You That Somebody Aaliyah though. I remember that was number one on the local radio station forever. It seemed like. That was a fun song. Like maybe an entire summer it was always number one. Yeah. But I love that song.
Speaker: Okay, this or that. Which TV character played by these Capricorn actresses was funnier? Betty White as Rose in Golden Girls or Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine in Seinfeld?
Speaker: Okay, both of these characters are hilarious. This is tough. This is really tough. And I remember Betty White did some funny scene where, as Rose, where she's working as a receptionist somewhere, I don't know, and she's playing dumb as she's being robbed. And it's it's so funny. how she plays that character. But i think I have to go with Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine in Seinfeld. She's just, yeah she has so many hilarious quotes and her dancing, of course. What about you?
Speaker: I think I have to agree with you. Even though both of the characters are iconic, I got to go with Elaine from Seinfeld. Have you seen those competitions too? Like the dancing competitions where people will dress up like her and have competitions? I vaguely remember seeing something about that. Classic dance.
