Speaker: Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast with two bestie moms. Wine while they whine. I'm Jamina. And I'm Annie. Let's whine. And welcome back. Welcome in. Welcome, welcome, welcome for season eight of Wine Mama. Look at us.
Speaker: Look at Who would have thought? Who have thought? Not me. Definitely not be And the only reason why I said who would have thought not me is because we are coming off of, I wish I could say that we're coming off of like some sort of like bachelorette rager, but it was a weekend with our best friend and our kids because it was on their summer bucket list to go visit her and sleep at her house.
Speaker: But you know what it's like when once the kids go to bed, it's a free game vibe, you know? so we're running little fumes here. We're running on little fumes. um Needless to say, I just saw Jamina this morning. So we i don't need to catch up for her. But for the sake of our lovely listeners, we're going to do a little bit of catch up because that's just what we do when we kick off a new season. So welcome in. If you're new, welcome back. If you have been a listener, a longtime listener, um we welcome you with with open arms.
Speaker: We do. And I hope you're ready to just listen to our shenanigans and laugh with us. Sometimes cry with us. We can get pretty deep sometimes. um or and And then you know maybe accept some of our advice, which again, i would just like to point out as we do every season when we kick this off, please seek professional help. We are not professionals. We are strictly discussing our opinions and thoughts. And when we say advice, take it lightly. It's just what works for us.
Speaker: And maybe you should try it because maybe it'll work for you and maybe we should be professionals. We're like unsolicited advice professionals. I mean, we think we're professionals. We're not in any sense of the word professionals. um There's some judgmental moments here and that's okay. We always say, oh, we don't judge. We don't judge. But you know, you're everybody's kind of judging, right? Like, but this is just a good time space. So again, season eight is now upon us. And as we always do, we will kick it off with a wine. So are you ready to wine with our wine of the week?
Speaker: Let's do it. Let's do it. So this week we are drinking the Kim Crawford Pinot Grigio. So everybody and their mama knows the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. You know it. You love it. Maybe you don't love it. I don't know. But i'm it's a fan favorite of mine. And so i saw a bottle of Pinot Grigio and it just felt summery. It looks just like a little, it just looks fun. yeah So we were like, you know what? We all we all know Sauvignon Blanc. Let's take a little tiptoe into the Pinot Grigio. So yeah that's what we're drinking.
Speaker: Yeah, which is pretty bold, you guys. If you know us at all and you have been a loyal listener and following, the fact that we are picking a Pinot Grigio to kick things off is very not like us. Like, not like us at all.
Speaker: But in Kim, we trust because Kim has done lots of great wines that everyone normally drinks. You can I want to say, again, not a true fact, but eight out of 10 times you're goingnna see a Kim Crawford in some sort of menu.
Speaker: Oh, 100%. Yep. Yep. Like always. So with that being said. Let's learn a little bit about this wine. So Kim Crawford is one of New Zealand's most exciting and innovative wine producers. The winery started out in a small cottage in Auckland, New Zealand. And since its launch in 1996, the label has gained critical acclaim around the globe.
Speaker: They do things unconventionally, take risks and welcome different. Kim Crawford Pinot Grigio wine offers a sip of the Italian lifestyle, which who doesn't want that?
Speaker: I know. I mean, let's be honest. The grapes deliver a crisp and vibrant Pinot Grigio with notes of fresh green apple and stone fruit aromas, ending with a smooth finish. The perfect anytime sipping type of wine.
Speaker: Kim Crawford Pinot Grigio is made from grapes grown in Italy's Del Venezia region. um i don't even know where that is. what What's that near? One of the world's most famous regions for growing this varietal. So that's pretty interesting. I didn't i didn't know i had to its own little region area. where's I know. Where's what, what, what are you? Venezia. Maybe it's next to Venice. el but Oh, I don't know That's a good, that's a good thought. While you look that up, we're going to wrap it all up here. Learning about this wine. So this Pinigrigio displays a pale yellow hue with clean, bright aromas of floral, apple and citrus notes.
Speaker: On the palate, it offers lively minerality and brightness, creating a refreshing tasting style that finishes smooth. And fun fact for everybody, Kim Crawford is a man. So that is a Kim Crawford is a he. Him and his wife started this company. They have actually since sold Kim Crawford and they own another wine company. I think it's called Love, Love Block.
Speaker: It is really, it's Kim and Erica. That's what it who it is. It's Kim and Erica. i think it's called Love Block is their new winery, but it is, i think there's like maybe,
Speaker: two or three places in the night in the United States that actually sells it. So it's hard to get your hands on in a store. I'm sure you could go online and have it shipped to you, but um pricing, I couldn't tell you. But either way, we're not talking about that winery. We're talking about this Kim Crawford Pinot Grigio, and it is very affordable, this wine. So listen, we're starting off a little question mark here with the Pinot Grigio, but it is affordable and it is a brand that everyone knows.
Speaker: Yeah. No, I agree. Also, that fact always shocks me. I always like, i don't know, it's like a mental block, I think. Yes. Thinking that Kim Crawford is a man. And every time someone brings it back up, I'm just as shocked like I've never heard this fact in my life.
Speaker: Yeah. Isn't that crazy? And to follow up, the Delvin-Nincy region is northeastern Italy. so So that's all can find it from that. So could be close in near Venice then, right?

Speaker: Oh. I'm very surprised. For a Pinot Grigio. Yes. I was waiting for it. I smelled it too. I've been like. you know i i always like to smell the wines because especially after reading a little bit about them and it does not smell bad i'm really impressed again did we not literally say kim kim kim is just a safe bet this is great and this proves it this proves it you guys i'm i'm i was waiting to like to sip it and be a little sad and i'm not actually very
Speaker: happy so well what a turn of a little sad little sad so what a turn of events it is lightly sweet i don't find it super sweet at all no i don't think it's tightly sweet and what do you think it's good i mean like i said it doesn't smell i always go off smell first and like even like the description of what it was supposed to taste like the aromas like everything sounded good so i was hopeful for it uh because I didn't see any weird, you know, you know, there's always something weird being thrown into the description of what something tastes.
Speaker: But Kim kept it clean. She kept it good. And it's actually, he he oh my God, gee, God, yes. This is so, again, i get shocked just as much. i My apologies, Mr. Kim. I'm going start calling him Mr. Kim.
Speaker: Mr. Kim. Mr. Kim is the only going remember. But no, I think it it is good. It's not, I think, I don't know. I think i anytime I hear Pinot Grigio or like, taste the Pinot Grigio, I always expect, like, super, like, dry and just, like... That's what was afraid. I was thinking when I was tasting, I was like, oh, God, is this going to, like, just, like, fight dar bite Like, burn. But listen, because, like, like Jamina said in the beginning, wasn't a bachelorette party, but sometimes we treat it as such in the form of, like, staying up late, being, getting all of our sillies out. So pouring this wine, I think my, like, heart cracked a little bit when I had to open the bottle. I was like...
Speaker: You can do this. You can, yeah you can have one glass and be, and be okay. So, but we kind of did that trip to cap off the end of the summer for the kids. I know you guys have been so busy this summer. We have been so busy. So let's kind of give everybody a little recap of where we've been, what we've been doing this summer.
Speaker: and then what's to come. Yeah. What's to come in season eight. I would say we kind of like rest to had a little rest and relaxation, but no, no. No. Literally no. I am constantly like my friends, my neighbors are constantly being like, Is there ever weekend where you just don't have anything to do or don't have plans? Like you know you guys are always out with your kids or like planning a trip or going to Tampa, Tallahassee, Disney, like whatever may be. Like, and I'm like, yeah, because like otherwise they're little terrors inside of this home for 24 hours. Like they need to to touch touch grass as the young generation says right now, um you know.
Speaker: But um no, oh my gosh, what have we not done this summer? So we went on our cruise. Highly recommend as an easy family trip, if you will. It was amazing. We did the Utopia of the Seas with 1000% go back and do it. um It's the second largest ship of the world, you guys. It's awesome. And it did not feel... um It did not feel crowded. Like I thought maybe it was going to feel like crowded because it is so popular and all these things. But no, it was incredible. We loved it. The kids loved it. Um, Becca did great because when we left off, he had a broken arm. He had a waterproof cast. He is now cast free. Things have healed. Thank the Lord. Um, let's see. Avery started swimming lessons. Um,
Speaker: we really got to get this girl to put her face in the water, which this weekend, this past weekend, Tante Annie over here really conquered a lot with her. So um I'm trying to think what else have we done? We did Disney trips. Of course you went up to, you were up in Destin per usual, you guys. And if you guys have been a part of the show, you know, my family goes to 30 a Dustin Miramar, like all every summer.
Speaker: It's just, the vibe it's what we do um let's see what i'm trying to think what else have we done or what else has changed in these last my children are just like so tall i swear they're going to be my height by next summer like i'm going to be the small one in the family like they're just so it's like so wild how they grow but Still to come, we have, what?
Speaker: School starts next week. So, oh my God, that's literally insane to say it out loud. Now I'm like internally quietly stressing, but anyways. um We still have a couple things to finish off to cap off the bucket list, which includes a science museum, a lemonade stand.
Speaker: um What else? Oh, dinner at Olive Garden. You guys, my children are obsessed with Olive Garden. like I'm like, can we pick mojee on? and I was like, can we change the pasta place? No, Olive Garden. um And a yes day.
Speaker: We've never done a yes day. I need to look up boundaries and timeframes of what we need to do. And to be honest, you guys, I've had to erase yes day multiple times off our summer bucket list because, my God, these kids sometimes do not listen. and Like, they do not. Yeah. It's like the yes day is gone. There's no more yes day for you. Kennedy wants to steal that idea. I was like, I don't know. Yeah. so yeah so there's going to be limitations. I'll let you know how it goes because we're to to.
Speaker: Clearly do. We have a week. And then, but I will say, I'm going to bring this up because I was just saying like kids don't listen this weekend, this past weekend, Annie had the most genius idea of a game. And I have to bring this up because if this is something that you struggle with too, when you're with your friends,
Speaker: In general, I mean, a lot of times it's at home too, but like my kids are, love them to death. They're angels, but they do not listen to me. I could be a stern and try to like scare them with my sternness of a voice, but they will still continue to do the same thing two to three times. They're kids. I get it. But like at this point, like I'm getting frustrated stop so any anyways I'm gonna we all can relate I'm gonna pause you because especially when there's other kids in the mix right like at home it's like you kind of you eventually kind of get through to them but when it's other kids in the mix you guys they're hearing you but they're not listening they're not taking any what you're saying when you're reprimanding them they're like oh okay and then they go into their thing like they are it's not registering so so accurate yes no so accurate and I just feel like i don't know. I just feel defeated. I feel like a bad mom because I'm like yelling like so harshly. Like I'm not saying harsh things. I'm like trying to get through through through to them in front. And then it's in front of other people. And like I i hate it. Like I i truly despise that.
Speaker: The good thing about that side of things is like I always do apologize to my kids. Like I'm sorry I raised my voice, but it's very frustrating when you – anyways, long story short, Annie, or short story long if you know me at all.
Speaker: If you know me at all. Annie had a genius idea. we had a pool day. And I'm going to – we're going to have to do this every time because I've never seen something work so wonderfully on my kids, to be fair.
Speaker: To be fair. i Her kids still kind of didn't listen to me, but, like, I tried my best.
Speaker: They did not – I think they just think – they know I'm, like, the – I don't know, like, a fun – like, I don't know. Like, I think they know that I'm just going to – they're just so cute. So, like, they know I'm going to not be – as stern to them so I think they were just like sure whatever girl like bye yeah yeah you know my kids are really good kids No, they are. No, no, they are. No, no, it has nothing to do with that. I'm just saying, like, in general, like, if, like, they were annoying each other, andy would be like, all right, like, get your kids. I'm like, all right, Kenny, can you not do that? And she would just look at me like, who are you? to tell You're not my mom. Like, kind of vibe. And I was just like, okay, I love you. Bye. Like, just don't do that. okay
Speaker: so But, and I'm not saying you weren't like that. Like, you were the same way. But the anyways, the game was... Annie was like, let's try something. She said, I'm for the day or at least like the pool portion of it. She's like, you reprimand my kids and I will reprimand your kids because we have very, very same parenting styles when it comes to what's wrong, what's right, how we speak to people, how we speak to adults, how we need to treat our siblings. Like our mindset is very like similar, like give them space at some point. You guys, my children did everything Annie asked.
Speaker: I'm not even kidding. Annie would tell them to stop and they legal were like, yeah, okay. Like, annie would be like hey try this because like avery will not eat or try things for me like food wise literally this girl had a smoothie what else did she have she had a watermelon uh tried the watermelon yeah like i literally just like and she didn't like have to swallow it you have to still eat it and she did in your mouth me she would just spit it out and at that point what am i doing like shoving spit out food back in her mouth no like i just want to spit her out you know And I'm like, no, no, don't do that. You know, so you guys, I need everyone to try this method. Like I am now convinced I will just let Annie reprimand my kids at all times now. I'll just go on can also continuing to reprimand my kids.
Speaker: Yeah, because they honestly listen to Annie way more. I think, no, no, I will, I will say there was like thrice moments, like three or two to three times where I was like, and and I had a win, you know, and even looked at Allie. I was like, this one's, I'm going to, I'm going to really like, I'm going to get through to her to listen. And they did.
Speaker: One was today at lunch. Um, When they were like the fighting over the phone. hu And then one was at the pool and I just felt so proud of myself. i was like, oh, okay, it's working. one of those like back pat moments, but you have to, you're right. We have very similar parenting styles. Like I know what Jameen is going to say no to. She knows what I'm going to say no to. So you have to do it with that friend that you, you guys, like I tell people all the time, hey, listen, if my child does something or says something and I'm not near to reprimand them, like yes I give you,
Speaker: I mean, don't let a hand on my child, but like, and nobody ever would, but like, I expect you to tell them what they're doing wrong. If I'm not by there to hear or see something that they do like that is my expectation of you as a friend, as you have, as a fellow parent.
Speaker: Yeah. So, um, agree yeah, I mean, I think it, I think it worked well as long as you guys try it with someone who has, again, similar feelings. Right. Report back because I'm not kidding. Me and Jamina, like we had just started pool day and we were both like already like,
Speaker: oversimulateated Yeah. We were like, get okay, we're going to get home from breakfast. like Put our swimsuits on. We just got to get in the pool. Just get them outside. And I was walking out and we were kind of like, oh, I don't want this. and Oh, I don't want this sunscreen on my face. I want to do this. And we're like, I'm like, dude, it's literally 1030 in the morning and we're already like fighting you guys on stuff. And so i stopped her and I was like, this is what we're going to do today.
Speaker: This is what we're going to was great. I don't. How did you come up with that? Honestly, because like it was so genius. like Because I don't know. You think about how.
Speaker: Like think about your kids in a situation and you telling them not to do something versus like another parent telling them like, hey, don't do that. They're going to stop. And like our kids know, like my kids know you well enough and your kids know me well enough. Right. They know like when I'm being like, when I'm, hey, when I want to play, like let's play. but when I'm being serious, like you you know, I'm being very, very serious.
Speaker: So i was like, let's just give it a try. 10 out of 10. We're going do this every time. now Yeah. Now we're just going to plan reasons to reprimand each other's children. Yeah. And like it's and it's funny because Annie brought the point. Well, I still want them to love me. And it's like it's like almost like 10 second Tom because he almost forgot. Like even like with Kenny, like when I felt I felt just bad, like saying anything like when, you know, whatever it may be. And then like she gave me like the biggest hug. Like, I love you. I can't wait to see you. Like so it's like they don't see it that way because they know their mom would have said the exact same thing to them. so it's like you make a good point. Like maybe don't try it. I just sound like any kid on the playground. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: Do with someone like pick your poison and listen, when it runs out, when we do this enough times and then they start treating me like they won't listen to me, we're going to find another person to then bring in. We need a third party. We're going have a third party. Yes. Yeah. Bring into rotation.
Speaker: Yeah. That's the only, it's the only way now. And, Again, i think a two, I think I keep reminding because I was telling our friend Allie, whose house we were at this weekend, if we mentioned where we were, but um I was like, I know the threes are very difficult.
Speaker: That is when it was very difficult with Beckett. So like, I understand. I'm like, but dear Lord, this girl's turning four in just two months and I just hope that switch switches back. those ears for listening and we're just in a phase right now where and i explained this to them that me and ben were talking about it's like a race just she is the top running like literally winning top actress for winning annoying little sister right now because she is just constantly frustrating beckett Yeah. To be fair. Does he frustrate her too? Absolutely. That's siblings. Siblings fight. Like it's going to happen. But my gosh, it you guys, it's literally that I'm not touching you. I'm not touching you. Like the fingers like barely touch. like ah
Speaker: And I'm just like, first of all, where did you find this? Like, where did you, who did you, how do you know how to do this? Like, where'd you pick this up from? Where'd you pick this up from? And you're three. Like, where did you, and it shocks me, but yeah, we love her at the end of the day.
Speaker: We love her, right? And it's just a phase. I keep telling myself it's just a phase. I can't frustrate myself mentally anymore. like shell she she'll grow She'll grow out of it. Listen, she's right three going into four and then she'll grow out of it. And you know and Beckett puts up Beckett puts up with with a lot. So good um him. But it was, it was a really nice, it was really nice end to the summer because we're the same way we have had.
Speaker: We just didn't stop. And I like to, I mean, it's summer. There's really the only time that we can truly like do stuff with the kids being out of school and all of that. This is our first summer where we had to do summer camps for Kennedy. So that was a new ball game for us when I was like trying to do a week or two here, like home. I'm like, Oh my gosh, no, we have to fill up all of her weeks. Like she cannot just be home.
Speaker: She cannot be home. I love her so much, but she is a just a busy, I would make her a checklist of like things that she could do, like practice your drawing, Play-Doh, read a chapter of your book, everything that she would do. If she practiced her drawing, she would practice it once for like five minutes and then check it off the list. Okay. Next. So go get the Play-Doh out for like five minutes and check it off. I'm like, no, no, no no o no, that's not checking off the list. That's not how this works.
Speaker: Each thing that we're doing has the last at least like 30 minutes. It's not just like, one moment of this and you get to check out. So she's a checklist girly. I have come to learn loves a checklist, but she was powering through them. And I was like, wait, we did everything in 30 minutes. That was supposed to last you for like at least half the day. That was supposed to last through lunch, if not longer.
Speaker: yeah So, um, that was interesting. And she was, so she's been doing a lot of camps. She has one last, um, week of camps this week. She's actually doing two. So cooking class and art class this week. So she is very excited for that. Get her little artsy artsy fartsy side out but i mean since we last left last left off charlie has turned four four know she's she's phasing out of that and i think my child is bringing her back into the three major they were so funny this week and they would find like a phone or like a pretend like oh my house phone or like a fan remote and they were putting them in purses and like carrying them around like leaving the house with these like phones and remote controls and i was like please dear god at least they let them make it back into the home yeah and we not lose these remotes somewhere out in in the wild so but they were so they were just sassy little sassy little girly girly girls um aubrey did in insane aubrey did her grease trip so aubrey was 10 days in greece and you guys i had to just kind like
Speaker: Let let go. I had to just realize that she was safe over there with her chaperones, the chaperones that were over there with the program. Like, she's not going to be calling me and FaceTiming every day multiple times. that Like, I had to realize that.
Speaker: Hey, good morning. Hope you have a great day. And then, Hey, good night. I love you. Would maybe be all I got one day. but she had the best time. And I mean, I mean, you've heard everyone, anyone who like asks her about it, she is obsessed.
Speaker: And you know, like, you know that first time you, if you've been to Europe, you're the first time you go. Travel abroad in general. Yeah. Mm-hmm. You're just like, i my eyes are my eyes are opened. It's amazing.
Speaker: Yeah. Unreal. I'm so happy she got to experience that. I know. Especially so young. I don't think I ever did anything like that besides a summer camp or something for a week. No. But to travel abroad like that and see the world early on that is amazing. And with friends. How cool is that? So she had the best time.
Speaker: um i experienced my first summertime in Chicago and you guys – I can't stop. She's a changed gal. I can't stop thinking about it. I love, I love New York, but let's be honest, New York in the summer, everyone's like, Oh, everyone from like who actually lives in New York goes to Hamptons for the summer. Like New York, New York is so hot in the summer, but blah, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker: Chicago is the place to be. It's like I had, we had like cool mornings, like breezy mornings. The rooftops are all open. Everyone is outside. Everyone in the entire city is outside because it's freaking cold like 10 10 months out of the year like these people have to be like just like little butterflies coming out of their cocoon in in the summer because it is just it's a vibe it's a vibe so it's gonna be on them that that chalk so because imagine how cold it is yes so it's like summer is where they thrive yes yes that makes sense Right. mean, I'm sure New York is probably like that, too. But its something about like Chicago is guys.
Speaker: Speaking of, I had the most like I'm not a scared flyer, but like I do get a little antsy when there's like a little turbulence or, you know, whatever, whatever may happen. I was delayed, I think.
Speaker: Four, five hours because of rain in Chicago. So they wouldn't let us take off. And then there was once we finally took off, we were then circling in the air above somewhere in Ohio, just circling. I looked at my, I'm, I'm a flight rate. I'm a, I'm a reader on my phone and a flight radar girly on the TV. I am a,
Speaker: Yeah, airplane loser. Okay, airplane loser. I got my flight, flight map. and I see us just like circling. And I'm like, Okay. And so then the pilot comes on. He's like, Alright, we've been cleared um to come in from the north. So as you guys know, we live in Florida. So They were going to send us up through Michigan and we're gonna come down, like loop down. And I'm like, okay, it's going to add however many hours to the whatever to the trip. And we're like, Jesus. How long how long do you would you say? Like minutes? How long were you looping?
Speaker: Oh, how long are we looping? oh um there was a lot of loops happening. Probably at least 45 minutes, I'd say. Absolutely not. I'm like, it's weird if we are looping, who else is looping nearby? That's what scares me so bad. And obviously these people know what they're doing. They are professionals. So we're a heading up.
Speaker: We're heading up through Michigan. And this man, the pilot, the nice pilot, takes a hard left. And he's like, we've just been given the clearance to land. we're We're going for the landing. He takes the, like, literally a...
Speaker: What is this? A right angle turn. And we're like hauling ass over Lake Michigan, you guys. It is turbulence. People are... um Flight attendants, take your jump seats. get like Everyone buckle in. If you have a lap baby, hold tight. I was praying to every figure that you could believe in. every Anyone you have a belief in, I was praying to them.
Speaker: No. It was terrifying. And I was like, it's fine. Like like the... that I'll be fine. But I'm not kidding you. Going over lake michigan and yeah Lake Michigan and I'm just like, o and then you're going into land. And then as soon as we land and everyone turns their phone on and then it's like the blaring weather alert.
Speaker: tornado a warning get inside get inside I was like where have where have I come that was the weekend that everyone was seeing videos of Chicago where like chairs and tables like flying off of roofs and stuff like that's what we landed that's what our plane landed in so anywho That was a trip of a lifetime. so um, but yeah, we've been busy. you meant Went to my parents in Panama city, met up with you guys when you were in Destin. So we met up in 38 to hang out for the day, just have been like going, going, going, went to St. George for a little bit, which is the, um, it's in the panhandle. It's a really, really small Island. Most like people who like live in the panhandle, like locals know about it. Um,
Speaker: but yeah forgotten coast if you will anybody look it up the forgotten coast um but yeah just like we're busy we did splash pad day with you guys so yeah we packed full their summer and and it was a good one now we're literally going into second grade pre-k for charlie like i just can't believe it can't believe it i wish we were going to pre-k for avery god yeah I know. oh my God. Senior year, you guys. Senior year. I know. Someone just like check on me.
Speaker: Just check on me. I don't know what I'm for, but just check on me. Yeah. In every sense of the word. It honestly, it like, honestly, like made me like broke me a little bit when you just said like, you just had to let go. i like, that makes me want to cry. Like, i know it come there comes a time where you do, you have to just trust. They have to grow up. They have to learn and you have to let go. And I'm like, I'm going to know you guys, those videos you see of the mom, like they're jokingly. It was like me cutting my son's grapes on his wedding day. Like that's going to be me.
Speaker: That's going to be Cut it in four, sweetie. I still cut his grapes because he freaking, you guys, the reason I cut Beckett's grapes still, he is seven. But I cut them, can I show you the traumatic way, traumatic, traumatic way that he freaking eats grapes. He literally puts them in his mouth and he sucks them in. And I'm like that's going to go straight to the back of your throat.
Speaker: Please stop doing that. That's stressful now. So I to was like, the moment you stop eating grapes like that, I'll stop cutting your grapes. Because he always, I'm why do you still cut them? I was like, because you give me anxiety. Yeah, because of how you're eating them. You literally are like a vacuum. like like i I think he thinks it's fun. i don't i listen we won't talk about it, but anyways, it made me sad. like I mean, it made me sad, but it made me proud of you because like that is so, so, so hard.
Speaker: yeah like i can i think i I think I talked about it on here too in last season kind of leading up to this trip. um I was scared, right? i was I was scared to have her go across the world 10 days. like i'm ah i'm some I'm in my head, you guys. I think the worst of the worst. Listen, if if you've been texting me back and forth and then I text you i don't get a response within 10 minutes, you're something as severe has happened to you. You are in the hospital. in i am i am my My head is ah is a dangerous place to be.
Speaker: so But yeah, once I talked to her the first night and she was just having the best time and everyone I could hear, like they were face, like i wish she was FaceTiming me the first night and was just like so happy and having the best time. i was like, you know what? Like she's okay.
Speaker: She's going to send me the pictures when she wants to send them. She's going to check with me and tell me things when, When she feels like, and you know what It wasn't just me. All the parents I talked to, we would like share a photo. They're like, yep, that's that the only one that I've gotten to. I was like, okay, like it's not yeah just me. It's just a part of life and a part of growing up. And I say it all the time. i know I've gone on on about this. say it all the time.
Speaker: It's so hard. But like you just said, like, it's so amazing to see. Like it brought me so much joy to see her do that. I was still sad. Yes. And like, I missed her. Like it brought me so much joy.
Speaker: knowing that she got to experience something that brought her so much happiness. So yeah, that's, that's life as a parent. That's literally for the rest of your life, for the rest of your life, you will have feelings like that as they get older. So wild, but anywho, we're back. We're back. we're back Back to the nitty gritty, guys. Back to the bump same bump and grind.
Speaker: That has different meanings for different people. So like take that with with a grain of salt. Maybe just the grind. Maybe just the grind part. um But yeah, like it was a very busy but successful summer, I think, for both of us. um We always love to take that time Like the only reason we can do that is because we do put this on pause um because we love doing this. We do it and we technically still do it. We just do it offline and we just don't record our conversations. Yeah. um
Speaker: And we do it more in person, which is hard to do too. But um' no, it's nice to be back, back to our rituals of, you know, just figuring life out as moms, as busy moms who have, as a reminder, if you're new here, we have two, we have full-time jobs. This is not, this is our hobby that we love to do because it's our outlet to vent and hope to reach people who feel the same way. Like you're not alone. Like but you just heard our spiel of everything, how we feel as moms sometimes. And And lot of people keep that stuff in and we just don't. So welcome.

Speaker: i live sick But it is. it's And it's also i' am a really cute bottle. That's why it attracted it was attractive, if you will, because it was like summer, like, you know, going back into the fall season, which, by the way, it cannot wait for fall to be back.
Speaker: I'm ready for fall. I know. i love spring. Don't get wrong. But fall is the number one guy in this group. Okay. oh yeah Oh, yeah. Yes. It reigns supreme for both of us. We both are very like, we we hit our feels in the fall. But also before fall, before we can start talking about that, there is another birthday on this podcast that we have to celebrate this month.
