It's all about the teachers in this episode. Buffy finally finds one who actually encourages her: the science teacher, Dr. Gregory. Unfortunately, as is often the way at Sunnydale High, he doesn't last very long. Xander is head over heels for Dr. Gregory's replacement, Natalie French, but the other Scoobies soon discover the disturbing reason why she's been teaching them about the praying mantis and snacking on bug sandwiches for lunch (ew).
