Ryan: Yeah, we're here to talk about Captain America 4 ah

Ryan: Yeah, now they can hear you.

tommy cresta: And...

Ryan: And...

tommy cresta: The monkey in a movie we literally just left.

Ryan: The monkey movie we literally just left.

tommy cresta: And ah yeah.

Ryan: And, yeah. Yeah. But before we get into that, of course, we always got to check in with Ryan and see how we do it mentally, physically, and then we're all around.

tommy cresta: But before we get into that, of course, we always got to check in with Ryan, see how he's doing mentally, physically, and all around. How you

Ryan: How you doing? after that fucking movie, not as good as I was hoping. It's crazy that review we're going to review two movies here. One of them was okay.

Ryan: One of them was pretty bad. Was not the ones I was expecting.

tommy cresta: wasn't

Ryan: i think both of them were mid.

tommy cresta: I think both of them were mid.

Ryan: That's fair. hey I don't think even one of them rewatched.

tommy cresta: i i don't think even one of them is like a rewatch. material even though this was a rewatch for me and it a thank god i rewatched it because my score that i would have came out with 84 yeah i think i was so into like the blood part and that i was like wow this is cool dude every time you say think a shingle it's shingle talking about the australians like if they try and i'm dark and twisted but before we get into that i want to talk about where's because the monkey is stephen king short film uh

Ryan: material yeah What did you have it originally? Because you said you liked it. Eighty fucking four. me

Ryan: Yeah, you're all dark and creepy. and Oh yeah, the goss.

Ryan: But before we get into that, I want to talk about The Monkey is Stephen King short film.

tommy cresta: short story by Stephen King that he had a story.

Ryan: Short story by Stephen King. he had the story they asked him

tommy cresta: They asked him like in the is there ever a story that you want to make, but start writing it wasn't working?

Ryan: ninety designer store ever a story that you and they, we, we, we, we ah talk right

tommy cresta: And he talked about writing the story in the Denver airport that everyone's had this experience where you got to go to the bathroom, maybe you're on late for your flight.

Ryan: in denver

Ryan: everyone's happiness to

tommy cresta: And it's a husband wife.

Ryan: and's husband and like one thing i got to go bandger okay

tommy cresta: And the wife's like, I got to go the bathroom. He's like, okay, remember five minutes, we got to be at our gate.

Ryan: um five minutes gotta

tommy cresta: She goes in, takes a while, doesn't come out.

Ryan: goes in takes a while doesn't come out and then another cousin shows up his wife and then

tommy cresta: And then another husband shows up, his wife goes in, doesn't come out. Another husband, wife goes in, no one comes out.

Ryan: their husband

tommy cresta: And by the fourth time, he's like, okay, we got to go in there and see.

Ryan: but fourth i say okay we're gotta to go in that seat.

tommy cresta: But like the woman's bathroom, they hit Stephen King uses, like even Superman can't go in there.

Ryan: But woman's bathroom, they seem... Even Superman can't go in that.

tommy cresta: Like it's so off.

Ryan: Yeah. So awful. Was this pre or post 9-11? Oh, pre. Pre?

tommy cresta: Oh, pre.

Ryan: Alright. free ae

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: That matters. I assume it does, it's at an airport. It's at Denver Airport, though. Awesome airport.

tommy cresta: Awesome airport. well

Ryan: Well known to be very haunted.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: The creepy red eyes that the horse has.

Ryan: Creepy. That fucking statue. It's an awesome airport.

tommy cresta: an awesome airport though, ever go inside of it.

Ryan: never built that. Never. I've never been in.

tommy cresta: yeah Yeah, me and my dad were.

Ryan: I've never really been west. I've been to Ohio.

tommy cresta: you

Ryan: That's about it.

tommy cresta: For Steubenville?

Ryan: soon Yeah, but it's a good time.

tommy cresta: Yeah. But he, his reason they did not make it, and like, eventually, like, please come, they go inside, and that they don't come out.

Ryan: But his reason they didn't make it in, like, eventually, like, please come. They go inside, but they don't come out.

tommy cresta: And like, it,

Ryan: And, like, it builds.

tommy cresta: builds and builds.

Ryan: Like, even the military eventually starts going in.

tommy cresta: Even the military adventure starts going in.

Ryan: It was, like, a wacky scene.

tommy cresta: It was like a wacky Seam King idea. The whole reason he doesn't end up making doing it finishing it is that he never figures out what's in the bathroom.

Ryan: The whole reason he doesn't end up maybe doing it, finishing it, is that never figures out what's in the bathroom. Yeah, that's That's the whole reason.

tommy cresta: That's the whole reason.

Ryan: Yeah, that's totally fair.

tommy cresta: but like he's like He wrote the entire idea.

Ryan: He wrote the entire idea.

tommy cresta: He's like, I never came up with what's inside the bathroom.

Ryan: He's like, I never came up with what's inside. Yeah, that happens to me.

tommy cresta: um

Ryan: I'm not saying i'm making like so I'm thinking of Stephen King yeah level shit, but I'll think of something and be like, that's a fun idea, but then I just i can't think of an ending for it.

tommy cresta: Yeah, but like I'll start something.

tommy cresta: Like, I want to do – I keep having this idea.

Ryan: keep having this idea. I think because Warfare is coming out, wanted do something out there-wise.

tommy cresta: i think because warfare is coming out. Like, I want to do something military-wise. But I want to be, like, super authentic because I want it to be, like – You know that new cadet show that – it's the new, like, ABC comedy show about the military?

Ryan: But I want it to be super authentic. I want it know that new cadet show? It's the new like ABC comedy show that's about the military.

tommy cresta: It looks – it's awful.

Ryan: It's awful.

tommy cresta: it does Like, I get it's a comedy, but, like, get the if you get the uniforms right, if you get, like, the ah like dialogue right, soldiers will love that shit.

Ryan: yeah I get it's a comedy, but get the if you get the uniform rate, you get the dialogue rate. Soldiers will love that shit. But you've got to make it where it's like on HBO.

tommy cresta: But if you gotta to make it where it's like on HBO or something, something that they can say the most heinous things.

Ryan: It's not that they can say the most famous thing.

tommy cresta: But I would love to do an idea where the first acts that like soldiers being soldiers, they're on like their base.

Ryan: But I would love to give an idea where the first acts that have soldiers being soldiers, they're on like their base.

tommy cresta: And then it gets super fucking serious war.

Ryan: and then it gets for fucking serious war

tommy cresta: And like then it becomes sad like people are dying. and

Ryan: Oh, that sounds fun. but i keep going

tommy cresta: But I keep coming. um I just don't know how to.

Ryan: not have yeah

tommy cresta: can't.

Ryan: and written like

tommy cresta: I've written like 12 pages of like ideas.

Ryan: both pages of like idea

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: You don't know how to get to the war part?

tommy cresta: 9-11.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: You could do 9-11.

Ryan: 9-11. There we go, dude. That's called that's a callback, folks.

tommy cresta: did nine eleven

Ryan: Also, forgot. We did go to l L.A. last summer, so I have been a little bit west.

tommy cresta: by Yeah, a little bit west, it's as far west as you're going.

Ryan: but that was that was That was a flyover. that was That was a flyover. that doesn't It doesn't count. We just got there and left.

tommy cresta: but like Yeah, we and we saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Ryan: so Shit was great.

tommy cresta: It was, you were not.

Ryan: I was dying.

tommy cresta: I was dying.

Ryan: I was dying in that movie theater.

tommy cresta: oh

Ryan: It was so hot.

tommy cresta: That theater was so nice, too.

Ryan: It was nice.

tommy cresta: That was when I got the chicken in the fingers that smelled like caramel.

Ryan: like god yeah

tommy cresta: They never got them again.

Ryan: I got popcorn that I could barely even touch. I couldn't get anything now.

tommy cresta: but Yeah, we're here to talk about The Monkey and Captain America Brave New World.

Ryan: Yeah, we're here talking about monkeys that are breaking the world.

tommy cresta: And which one do you want to start with?

Ryan: Which one you want call? We saw Captain America first, so we can start with that.

tommy cresta: Do that one first.

Ryan: Yeah, i go for it. what are your What are your first impressions on Captain America? What were you expecting from Captain America?

tommy cresta: worry I was expecting like a 30. Like going into it.

Ryan: 30? What do you range-wise? What do you think he gave it?

tommy cresta: I think I 50.

Ryan: I gave it 50. I gave it 50, too.

tommy cresta: Actually, let me check.

Ryan: Wow.

tommy cresta: I have these already written down.

Ryan: mark wow i dot get in the fifty Because I but better than anything I gave in the 50s.

tommy cresta: Captain America, I gave 62. Because I didn't want to give in the because it's better than a 50. Better than anything I've given 50s. But it's not good enough to be a high so mid to high 60.

Ryan: but it's not going to a high safety. You need to high safety.

tommy cresta: I was really nervous going into it that Anthony Mackie just wasn't going to have the charisma for me.

Ryan: I was looking at her showing into it that Anthony Mackie just wasn't going to have the charisma for me. didn't know how it was to be a better person.

tommy cresta: like i didn't know how he was going Captain America.

Ryan: And I ended up walking out and he was my favorite part.

tommy cresta: And I ended up walking out and he was my favorite part of like the whole movie.

Ryan: Yeah. Like the whole movie, which I thought he was going to the weakest part the movie.

tommy cresta: Which I thought he was going to weakest part of the movie. And I loved Harrison Ford.

Ryan: And I love Harrison Ford. Excuse me.

tommy cresta: Excuse me. I didn't like the story of why he was doing what he was doing.

Ryan: I didn't like the story of what he was doing, what he doing.

tommy cresta: That everything was just to make his daughter happy.

Ryan: That everything was just to make dollar act. Yeah, I can see that.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: That was my favorite part.

tommy cresta: that That was like my biggest complaint.

Ryan: Mm-hmm. and lot yeah I mean, I don't know why you didn't think Anthony Mackie was going to be fun.

tommy cresta: And a lot of CGI. they That was choppy.

tommy cresta: I didn't know if he had enough to lead.

Ryan: i mean, he's been like... Okay, I can see what you're saying with that.

tommy cresta: oh And I was wrong.

Ryan: Yeah. Oh, yeah.

tommy cresta: I'm very happy. other I love Anthony Mackie.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: And he this dude was throwing fucking hands out there.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah this dude are on fucking hands

tommy cresta: And I loved it.

Ryan: oh yeah i yeah

tommy cresta: It was cool that he doesn't have the serum.

Ryan: course we a yeah

tommy cresta: The line about Bucky at the end was very funny.

Ryan: on yeah yeah just fucking wrong

tommy cresta: Oh, new new film tattoo as well.

Ryan: he should have taken it

tommy cresta: as it

Ryan: he got the phantom

tommy cresta: Fucking heart.

Ryan: and phantom menace He is a menace.

tommy cresta: Phantom Menace. He is a menace.

Ryan: He is a menace. He is a menace.

tommy cresta: I want them to make an OG like horror Phantom.

Ryan: He's making 17-year-old. What?

tommy cresta: What? No, she's 20.

Ryan: No, she's funny.

tommy cresta: The actress was underage.

Ryan: The actress. The actress. I want them to do like the old school like horror.

tommy cresta: I want them to do like the old school like horror Phantom.

Ryan: Like, because he's like one of the original monsters.

tommy cresta: Because he's like one of the original monsters. yeah

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: i would love someone to go.

Ryan: ah long I love Like, I'd love the figures.

tommy cresta: Like, I'd love Eggers to do it.

Ryan: That'd be cool.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: The cricket or something.

tommy cresta: You gotta pick the cricket. Where the fuck was it? It's a cricket or something.

Ryan: What? If you would know about it.

tommy cresta: It's like the choice it comes down to.

Ryan: was

tommy cresta: If you even even know what I'm talking about.

Ryan: you would know one

tommy cresta: it's it's it's It's not about a girl.

Ryan: It's not about a

tommy cresta: Like, it's not a love thing in the original. Like, he's just mean.

Ryan: He's just neat.

tommy cresta: He's just killed murdering people.

Ryan: He's just so hard.

tommy cresta: And then he gives the girl a choice.

Ryan: And then he gives the girl a choice.

tommy cresta: Either this happens or this happens.

Ryan: This happens or this happens.

tommy cresta: And the one choice is a cricket.

Ryan: One choice is a cricket.

tommy cresta: And the one choice something else.

Ryan: One choice is something else. A cricket or something else?

tommy cresta: I can't remember what the other thing is.

Ryan: I can't remember what that is.

tommy cresta: But I know the one thing means a flood.

Ryan: I know the one thing is a flood.

tommy cresta: and that's why I'm...

Ryan: A cricket or a wish upon a star fairy? Is the Phantom Pinocchio? You've got to watch Pod of the Ex-Weekers.

tommy cresta: He's made of wood. You gotta watch Oddity. That's what you have to watch.

Ryan: Oddity. Which one? That was the ah the heart the wooden guy.

tommy cresta: That was the horror movie. Cheese Man.

Ryan: Cheese Man. actually excuse by You keep thinking.

tommy cresta: He's not actually made cheese, but I keep thinking. He looks like he's made of cheese. i just That's just what I refer to him as.

Ryan: That's fair.

tommy cresta: One of the best jumpscares I've ever seen in that movie.

Ryan: Sweet.

tommy cresta: but

Ryan: And that's how you fill seven minutes without talking about the movie for a goddamn second.

tommy cresta: Exactly. But, yeah.

Ryan: That's how you do it folks. That's how you do it.

tommy cresta: I enjoy this movie a lot more than I think people, most people are. Because, I mean, the reviews so far are not great. And we'll get into those in a second after you explain your first initial thoughts. And what, going into it, what were you expecting?

Ryan: and what going into

tommy cresta: And then what did you come out thinking?

Ryan: no I ah first thing I'll say is that I liked it more than I was expecting to.

tommy cresta: I was be election.

Ryan: I was going into it thinking it was going to be dog shit and just the same old MCU.

tommy cresta: And just same old, argued that we could get it recently.

Ryan: But I mean, arguably worse that that we've been getting recently. But it wasn't that to me.

tommy cresta: But, it wasn't, I found it pretty fun.

Ryan: I think I actually found it pretty fun. yeah I'm not saying it was good.

tommy cresta: I'm not saying we can do it. It doesn't pull the candle the end the basket automatically.

Ryan: It doesn't hold a candle to any of the past Captain Americas, but.

tommy cresta: But,

Ryan: I think for what it was, it was pretty good.

tommy cresta: think Red Hulk would have been fulfilling, but he passed away sadly.

Ryan: I really liked Anthony Mackie. I think Harrison Ford was okay. He didn't stand out to me, but he he did the job okay.

tommy cresta: Danny? I liked him so much more than I thought I was going to.

Ryan: He did exactly what he needed to do.

tommy cresta: He has some good lines.

Ryan: I still think seeing William Hurt be Red Holt, it would have been cool.

tommy cresta: but hal would have been

Ryan: but

tommy cresta: fulfilling but he i mean he passed away sadly

Ryan: Yeah, it's just it's unfortunate. but um Also, the new Falcon.

tommy cresta: also and you danny

Ryan: Yeah, Danny Ramirez. I really like him.

tommy cresta: i liked them so much more than i thought i was going to

Ryan: I like the new Black Falcon. Yeah, because you see him you see him in Falcon Winter Soldier, and I was like, all right, this kid's kind of, he's a little annoying.

tommy cresta: get some good lines

Ryan: He's not not the best. I think he really stepped up in this movie.

tommy cresta: I

Ryan: I'm not saying he's not still like the kind of arrogant, kind of goofy sidekick. He totally is, but I don't know.

tommy cresta: kind of think it works, though.

Ryan: Yeah, I thought it worked for this.

tommy cresta: You know who didn't work?

Ryan: But... um

tommy cresta: John Carl Esposito for me or Tim Nelson.

Ryan: Well, Esposito had nothing to fucking do. He was just a bullshit villain.

tommy cresta: I think it was just how he's written in the project.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. I thought he was going to be like a main villain. thought it was going be like two villains kind of that work together. Esposito is barely in the goddamn movie. He has one decent...

Ryan: ah Actually, that scene kind of sucked.

tommy cresta: she The action scene?

Ryan: That fight scene, it wasn't good.

tommy cresta: That was terrible.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: His speech was okay, but it still was super, like, it ended so bland.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: He's like, when I get out, no shit you're gonna get out, you're a villain.

Ryan: It's a Marvel movie.

tommy cresta: And the thinker was terrible. The whole idea of him, the design of it.

Ryan: Which apparently was a reshoot thing.

tommy cresta: It was.

Ryan: It was.

tommy cresta: Because remember, they released the poster of him having the big head and everything.

Ryan: Yeah. They released the poster. And it looked fine.

tommy cresta: Yeah. I think what they did end up...

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: Me and my dad agree, it looks like they put, like, a plastic cap on him.

Ryan: would It looks weird.

tommy cresta: It looks weird. Something's off about the actual design.

Ryan: Yeah, it looks dumb.

tommy cresta: But, yeah.

Ryan: And the eyes, like, glowing in the dark. yeah

tommy cresta: Yeah, that...

Ryan: Weird.

tommy cresta: It's so fucking bad.

Ryan: He looked like a zombie, but ah just it was just really, really weird. But at the same time, it was cool seeing him come back.

tommy cresta: was

Ryan: Even though...

tommy cresta: oh no. I was excited.

Ryan: and yeah

tommy cresta: i mean, it was just... It was a long time coming.

Ryan: Yeah, I mean, they totally fucked it up.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: But, like, you know, it was so long that people were arguing if the Hulk was even a part of the MCU anymore because, it you know, it was Paramount and nobody liked it.

tommy cresta: It was so...

Ryan: So everybody just kind of cast it out.

tommy cresta: and Which I still think is ridiculous. I like that movie.

Ryan: um like that. Okay. okay um Yeah, but the fact that this movie is literally just a Hulk sequel with Captain America as the main character.

tommy cresta: yes this movie li

tommy cresta: Oh no, 100% is.

Ryan: Realistically. like It 100% is. Yeah, it's like a legacy sequel.

tommy cresta: Yeah, it's like a legacy sequel. It was like, I thought it was me a Captain America movie, but it really just what you're saying.

Ryan: It was... like I thought he was Captain America, but it's really just what you're saying.

tommy cresta: It felt more like a Hulk sequel that featured Captain America.

Ryan: It's more like a sequel. Yeah.

tommy cresta: I like Carl Lumby though as Isaiah Bradley still.

Ryan: like Lundgren.

tommy cresta: I thought he was cool in this.

Ryan: Oh, yeah. No, it's super cool. I like that.

tommy cresta: I like the idea. That was the part i was actually really invested in.

Ryan: That was the thought I was actually really invested in.

tommy cresta: Like everything to do with him being Captain America now.

Ryan: Everything to do with Captain America, not having seen it.

tommy cresta: Not having a serum.

Ryan: And the whole idea of the movie.

tommy cresta: And the whole idea of the mind control stuff. Which I wish they leaned into more.

Ryan: I wish they made it more. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Like I would have taken...

Ryan: like I would have taken...

tommy cresta: Why not just give Mark Ruffalo his own Hulk movie.

Ryan: Why not eventually Parker Ullrich is queen of Hulk that fights Red Hulk.

tommy cresta: That he fights Red Hulk. Why is Red Hulk fighting Captain America?

Ryan: Why Red Hulk fighting Captain America?

tommy cresta: And

Ryan: Yeah, it felt like they just focused on the wrong things. And also, you bring it up.

tommy cresta: also...

Ryan: ah like We always bring up random shit we'd like to see. could do an Isaiah Bradley movie or show just like in during Korea.

tommy cresta: do

tommy cresta: so

Ryan: That'd be awesome.

tommy cresta: That would be cool.

Ryan: like I would love to see they they talk about it when he broke orders or whatever to go save the prisoners. I would love to see that. That would just be an awesome little Captain America movie.

tommy cresta: so

tommy cresta: And it could be a straight-to-streaming movie.

Ryan: It be very interesting movie.

tommy cresta: like It doesn't have to be crazy.

Ryan: Yeah, i don't I don't even care. like It doesn't have to be huge.

tommy cresta: It should be the guy from Severn.

Ryan: Just put something out because it seems like a cool character. When you see it, there's a black action Maw.

tommy cresta: There's a black actor in Severn, too.

Ryan: I think he'd be pretty cool.

tommy cresta: I love and he I think he would be a pretty cool Isaiah Bradley.

Ryan: I think it was his nephew. Because he becomes Captain America. Yeah. ah wonder if they were gonna bring back his um think he was his nephew

tommy cresta: yeah he's Yeah, I think he'll be a young Avenger.

Ryan: drugwa so because he is yeah he is like

tommy cresta: He is one of the young Avengers eventually.

Ryan: he becomes catholic america yeah So I wonder they'll ever bring him back. but Or the rest of the end, Stephen will never get this question to answer.

tommy cresta: Or we'll be like the rest of the MCU and we'll never get these questions answered.

Ryan: Never. Well, I mean, or a decade later, like we thought with, you know, The Thinker.

tommy cresta: well ah decade

tommy cresta: Yeah, or

Ryan: Yeah. Never thought that going happen. Or Red Hulk. And I know you didn't look at that.

tommy cresta: And I know you didn't really care. I was really excited by the post-credit scene.

Ryan: I was really excited about it. I was excited about it.

tommy cresta: Just because

Ryan: Just because I know that it's about so much.

tommy cresta: I know that they've talked about so much. It just felt, I finally was like, okay, like, it seems like we're moving towards it.

Ryan: It just felt, I finally was like, okay, it seems like we're moving towards it.

tommy cresta: Like, or they're at least talking about it more when it seemed like the Kang thing was the last thing I remember being like, okay, there's something.

Ryan: Or at least talking about it more when seemed like the Kang thing was

Ryan: Well, yeah, but the Kang shit happened and nobody liked it.

tommy cresta: Oh, and he.

Ryan: So they kind of just stopped. Well, yeah, he also.

tommy cresta: yeah His new movie looks really good, though.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: That bodybuilding movie that was supposed to come out last year.

Ryan: Which one was that? Yeah, I remember.

tommy cresta: Remember has that one where he's like a crazy guy that wants to be an amazing, like, bodybuilder?

Ryan: Yeah. got

Ryan: yeah i don remember my do

tommy cresta: Oh my, dude, it looks insane.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: It looks really good, which kind of sucks.

Ryan: it's really so Yeah, it sucks. um But yeah, no, I think the post-credit scene, just it just rehashed shit that we already kind of knew about.

Ryan: I was hoping it would be something that led into Thunderbolts because, you know, we see Bucky towards the end. Like, I feel like that would have made more sense because that's the next movie coming out.

tommy cresta: How is he going to end up in the situation for the Thunderbolts when he's running for governor?

Ryan: Yeah, the I have no idea. so

tommy cresta: Senator? Governor?

Ryan: Congress, I thought.

tommy cresta: Oh, Congressman Barnes.

Ryan: think it was Congress.

tommy cresta: I did like that scene when he walks away and then Sabra or whatever his name is.

Ryan: I think that's what he walks away in and I'm soft, sweet, stable, whatever.

tommy cresta: He's taller I thought. Pretty eyes.

Ryan: He's tall and I feel high.

tommy cresta: Nice smile.

Ryan: like he's 126 years old.

tommy cresta: He's like, I can work for that. Yeah, I'm from the greatest generation.

Ryan: That was funny. It also is the biggest trump card in politics. If you're running for politics and there' somebody's talking shit and you're like, dude, I literally fought in World War II.

tommy cresta: Like, what are you going to say to me?

Ryan: Shut the fuck up.

tommy cresta: yeah i'm from the greatest generation like what do you guysnna say to me

Ryan: Could you imagine? Yeah, dude, that'd be – if he just pulled that card. Oh, man.

tommy cresta: But a quick rundown for everyone.

Ryan: I'm going to have quick rundown for and

tommy cresta: This film was directed by Julius Ona. um It has a 49% Rotten Tomatoes, 6.1 out of 10 IMDb, 42 on Metacritic, 58% on Google. And the synopsis for this film is that Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident after meeting with the president Thaddeus Ross, Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross.

Ryan: Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross.

tommy cresta: ah He must soon discover the reason behind nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.

Ryan: You must see the term.

tommy cresta: That's a stupid ass synopsis.

Ryan: Do you get it?

tommy cresta: Yeah, I got it.

Ryan: Seeing red? you know who's red?

tommy cresta: And the mastermind.

Ryan: and

tommy cresta: Hmm.

Ryan: Who is who knew Seth Rollins playing in this movie?

tommy cresta: His role got cut.

Ryan: Why is he third credit on Google?

tommy cresta: I have no idea. Oh my god, this is 80% audience score.

Ryan: my god this is an eighty percent group to our audience His character name is just actor.

tommy cresta: character and Yeah, I know that they cut his um

Ryan: And then Rosa the so solo Salazar, fucking that took a minute, is just actress. yeah i know

Ryan: my god, Mickey's ever seen that from

tommy cresta: Oh my god, Mickey 17's up to an 89. Debut like in 70-something.

Ryan: 89.

tommy cresta: No credit consensus yet, though.

Ryan: Yeah, Danny Ramirez doesn't even have a picture.

tommy cresta: Dude, how about Warner Brothers having three films this year that are going to have two got an actor playing two people?

Ryan: how about Google sucks. What do you mean? Interesting. And The Monkey. Not Warner Brothers.

tommy cresta: Alto Knights with De Niro, Sinners with Michael B.

Ryan: you going to be jordan

tommy cresta: Jordan, and now Mickey 17.

Ryan: interesting

tommy cresta: i thought it was pretty, like...

Ryan: i hope and the monkey not want to really

tommy cresta: Not Warner Brothers, though. but I feel like they've really been leaning into that more recently.

Ryan: I feel like they've really been leaning into that more recently. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Because I feel like like we can save so much money.

Ryan: I feel like we could save so much money. Yeah, if we just pay the same guy a little bit more.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: It was double the work for paying a half.

tommy cresta: double um Pretty much the same day.

Ryan: So yeah, 40% of the same amount.

tommy cresta: So yeah, 49%, as said, on Rotten Tomatoes with 80% audience score, which I think is

Ryan: 80% audience feels pretty high.

tommy cresta: Pretty high. ah But the critical consensus is that Anthony Mackie capably takes on the Cat Mantle and S.H.I.E.L.D., but Brave New World is too routine and overstuffed with uninteresting Easter eggs to feel like it's a worthy standalone adventure for the new Avengers leader.

Ryan: But if you're consensus that Anthony Mackie capably takes on the Catman to feel a bragging world, too routine and over-subject, uninterested Easter egg, feel like it's a one-day stimulus venture to a new adventure.

tommy cresta: I completely agree.

Ryan: I completely agree with it.

tommy cresta: that I feel like they wasted a really ah really good Captain America but performance in this story.

Ryan: I feel like they wasted a really, really key Captain America performance in this story. Even his charisma can't say this.

tommy cresta: Even his charisma couldn't save this.

Ryan: No, I didn't think so.

tommy cresta: No.

Ryan: I mean, he is great, though.

tommy cresta: I mean, he is great.

Ryan: like he's He's still Anthony Mackie.

tommy cresta: still

Ryan: He's still Sam Wilson. like He's been one of my favorite characters for a while. Ever since that introduction in Winter Soldier, it's just awesome.

tommy cresta: on your left

Ryan: yeah Well, that too. But, um, well, yeah, but then he says, he says it Endgame.

tommy cresta: isn't that his introduction well yeah yeah that's what i was thinking about i meant that scene um dude i knew i probably haven't seen that movie since it was in theaters and i will say one thing i'm happy to be

Ryan: Yeah, Cap says it Winter Soldier. He's like, don't say it! Yeah. Dude, I knew I'd probably instantly since it was in the year. It's good. And I will say, the one thing that I'm happy they brought up again was um the the thinker brings it up.

Ryan: and He's like, you always wanted to talk to people.

tommy cresta: you

Ryan: Why don't you want to talk to me? Talking to Cap. Because that's when he how he got introduced.

tommy cresta: how

Ryan: He invited Steve to like ah he was running like a veterans therapy group thing.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: what when he played

Ryan: That's what he needs what he invited Steve to. So, I don't know. I thought that was kind of nice to come back. Because he became an Avenger and was like, yeah, whatever.

tommy cresta: Because he to the bank with leg.

Ryan: They'll be fine. He just never got brought up again. Oh, another big answer.

tommy cresta: yeah Oh, another big downsides move. Okay, if you're going to add military soldiers in a movie, they're not wearing their pre their patrol caps, their hats.

Ryan: You're going to add military soldiers in a movie. They're not wearing their patrol caps or hats.

tommy cresta: They will not be wearing those with vests and rifles.

Ryan: They will not be wearing those with vests and rifles.

tommy cresta: You will always have your helmet on.

Ryan: You will always have your helmet on.

tommy cresta: It's so stupid.

Ryan: It's so stupid.

tommy cresta: It's so simple.

Ryan: It's so simple. But then you can't see what they look like.

tommy cresta: It's stupid. You don't see what they look like anyway.

Ryan: don't see what they look like anyway.

tommy cresta: It's one of my, I mean, it is one of my biggest.

Ryan: It's one of my biggest.

tommy cresta: And people, the way that they, people that they pick first off do not look like soldiers.

Ryan: And people, the way that they do it, they do They do not look like soldiers.

tommy cresta: it

Ryan: That main guy looked okay. The main Navy SEALs?

tommy cresta: No, those were guys were great.

Ryan: Okay.

tommy cresta: The SEALs, I'm sorry.

Ryan: The SEALs were really well-looking.

tommy cresta: The SEALs were really well done. They were their helmets.

Ryan: They were their helmets. They looked like SEALs.

tommy cresta: They um and look like SEALs. Their gear look like SEAL gear.

Ryan: They're a real-looking SEAL here.

tommy cresta: I mean the infantry people that arrest the thinker.

Ryan: I mean, the English you know that arrests the thinker.

tommy cresta: They like their patrol.

Ryan: They're like that.

tommy cresta: Makes me very angry. I mean, there's not many things I feel like I truly get mad at, but those simple, small things that literally cost you no money to make a difference.

Ryan: I mean, there's not many things I feel like can't really get into that, but that is simple, small things that a lady calls you no money to make a difference.

tommy cresta: And it's not just night and day.

Ryan: Just a little bit of attention.

tommy cresta: Literally.

Ryan: Literally. How much trouble would you get in if you got caught doing something like that?

tommy cresta: it's

tommy cresta: I mean, I would get fucked up for, like, no joke.

Ryan: um mean, I'd get caught. Like, no joke.

tommy cresta: Well, not anymore, because they pass a new thing that in any branch of the motor, you can't can't smoke people anymore.

Ryan: Well, Johnny works. Any breath in the water, you can't smoke. It's rude. That's conversation

tommy cresta: Which is so ridiculous. That's a conversation that isn't for podcasts.

Ryan: that we've got go out there.

tommy cresta: Um... Back to Brave New World.

Ryan: Back for a while.

tommy cresta: Trying to think of some more positive things.

Ryan: think it's a more positive thing.

tommy cresta: You guys really like the whole fighter.

Ryan: You guys really like the whole – don't want to –

tommy cresta: I don't want to. It's still not.

Ryan: Oh, the the whole fighter jet.

tommy cresta: The whole fighter pilot scene.

Ryan: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I enjoyed that.

tommy cresta: I did not. i That was my.

Ryan: and um think one i think the whole that I saw.

tommy cresta: i like I was so uninterested. I think the whole CGI stuff is really starting

Ryan: I didn't think this one was that bad. It wasn't super, like, I'm not saying it was as good as it has been in the past.

tommy cresta: to. Yeah. Yeah.

Ryan: It hasn't been at that level of, like, the original ones, the original kind of saga in a very long time. It really hasn't. And this one isn't a total exception, but I think this one was better than, like, Ant-Man.

tommy cresta: I think one was better than the movie.

Ryan: thank you and feel like I more, like,

tommy cresta: where you it might look good but you still know it's cgi

Ryan: Yeah. might look still know Yeah.

tommy cresta: i think redho looks horrible but then you compare it to like other things you like

Ryan: was like, top three movie. Like, no. No, it's not. I never.

tommy cresta: like the original hulk scene where you come busting out of the building still looks great to at all the time

Ryan: That

tommy cresta: but around we also when we rewatch it saw a lot of scenes that don't look good

Ryan: but wrong we also go we reppo call a lot of

tommy cresta: and i'm taking back what i say about liking the movie because i forgot how much i hated when we rewatched it for the rankings episode

Ryan: and i'm thinking about like how yeah and then andrew scott was like top three movies like no

tommy cresta: i'm like, no.

Ryan: no it's not

tommy cresta: No, not. I never.

Ryan: i never

tommy cresta: That was one of the most tiring couple of days, just re-watching the entirety of the MC.

Ryan: that was one iron ah just rewatching the entire movie. oh

tommy cresta: Oh, my God.

Ryan: I still have those the little, ah what you call them?

tommy cresta: so

Ryan: Sticky notes with all the scores on them.

tommy cresta: Really?

Ryan: Just in a drawer.

tommy cresta: I need it.

Ryan: Every time I see it, I get queasy.

tommy cresta: You're like, what

Ryan: I remember it was so refreshing when I was doing a blast at the time.

tommy cresta: I remember was so refreshing when we watched the Paramount ones. Because that first Cat America, I gave that movie so much shit for such a long time.

Ryan: That first time heard that movie, think that movie is so much shit. Movie's good.

tommy cresta: The movie's a good movie.

Ryan: Movie's a good movie. So good. And that kid like a single host, that's a real good movie.

tommy cresta: And that kid that gets taken as hostage, that's a real hero right there.

Ryan: Oh, in the beginning?

tommy cresta: He's like, no, I can swim.

Ryan: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

tommy cresta: Like, saves the day. But, yeah, I love that scene.

Ryan: I forgot about that scene. know And so you're waiting for him to just dive in. like, no, you're good, dude.

tommy cresta: I can so i can swim.

Ryan: Get him. Kill him. Go kill him. I don't know.

tommy cresta: um But, yeah, I i think Anthony Mackie really needs another chance.

Ryan: I mean. Damn. Yeah, I don't know.

tommy cresta: Like, give.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: And it's going suck because I don't think he's going to get it.

Ryan: it's just sucks i don't think he's gonna

tommy cresta: like a solo project again.

Ryan: like so

tommy cresta: no.

Ryan: i i don't know

tommy cresta: Because they, they still need to make, uh, what was it?

Ryan: i mean so so make hundred and seventy million more

tommy cresta: make $170 million more break even.

Ryan: great

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: damn yeah i don't know

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: i mean, maybe maybe if the next Avengers movie hits, maybe they'll be like, all right, this was a fluke.

tommy cresta: I mean, maybe, maybe if the next Avengers, it's, maybe they'll be like, I feel really like him.

Ryan: Obviously, if we get people back into liking Avengers movies, because it's not like this I mean, this movie made the Marvel's entire gross in the opening weekend.

tommy cresta: Yeah. So like,

tommy cresta: i mean

tommy cresta: entire yeah

Ryan: So, like, ah people are just people just aren't interested in Marvel anymore.

tommy cresta: so like Yeah, they're not going to put out another 200 million.

Ryan: I don't think it's Anthony Mackie's fault, and i hope I hope the studio realizes that.

tommy cresta: Yeah. Dude, that's...

Ryan: So, I don't know.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: But I also understand, like, movie doesn't make money. They're not going to make a second one because they're not just going to burn money.

tommy cresta: yeah're not gonna put out on the two hundred million

Ryan: but Yeah.

tommy cresta: that's

Ryan: But, I mean, yeah, I would like to see another one because I would like to see ah Captain America story.

tommy cresta: i mean so

Ryan: Like, it just wasn't a real Captain America story.

tommy cresta: like its just

Ryan: It was a Hulk story with Captain America in it, which is just disappointing.

tommy cresta: I would love to see like – like the first kind American movie is so good because it's in this mystical fantasy superhero world, but it feels so grounded.

Ryan: would love to see, like, the first Captain America movie in this mystical fantasy superhero world Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. yeah short shooting laser

tommy cresta: But these people are shooting lasers at them.

Ryan: yeah he's out there

tommy cresta: And he's out there with a c Colt 1911 just gunning down Nazis, which are really cool.

Ryan: ninety one yeah yeah

tommy cresta: Well, it's Hydra, but Nazis really.

Ryan: Well, and there they were Nazis.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: But um yeah, the first Captain America, it still feels like – it feels so different because it still – it feels like a World War II movie just with a superhero twist.

tommy cresta: I want like – oh, I'm sorry. It feels good. so

tommy cresta: Yeah, and there's a guy red skin.

Ryan: You what I mean? Like, yeah, there's still people getting shot.

tommy cresta: okay

Ryan: Like I love – the thing that always stuck with me like as a kid when I first watched it, when he does that big prison break and they're all like running out in the tanks, dude, there's just like bodies dropping as they're running away.

tommy cresta: i and

tommy cresta: The propeller. the roll there No, that movie's violent.

Ryan: I'm like, damn. Yeah.

tommy cresta: but Even the dude goes in the plane.

Ryan: And then when Bucky dies – Yeah.

tommy cresta: Gets cut up in the blade.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: That is all messy scene.

Ryan: That is messy. It's Indiana Jones. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: But um I always remember too, when – does Isaiah Bradley say he gets drunk in this movie? Does he say – I don't know why that's sticking to my head because he goes to the White House and he has a drink.

tommy cresta: I don't think he says he gets drunk.

Ryan: um I don't remember right, but I i couldn't remember if he said something.

tommy cresta: don't know. I can't remember if I said something.

Ryan: But the only reason I bring that up is because I remember the scene and the first Captain America now where Bucky dies, quote, unquote.

tommy cresta: But the only reason I'm not, because I've never seen it in the first half of the night, where it's public eye.

Ryan: And then Steve's drinking and he's like, you know, the worst thing is that it speeds up my metabolism, which means he I can't get drunk, is so sad that he's just his best friend died.

tommy cresta: And then Steve's drinking. And he's like, you know, worst thing is that it speeds up my head. Which means I can't get drunk. Which is so sad. It is.

Ryan: And he's like, all I want to do is just I can't get drunk.

tommy cresta: He's like, all the good news. I can't get drunk.

Ryan: That sucks.

tommy cresta: Just like Superman.

Ryan: It's like Superman.

tommy cresta: Superman can't get drunk either.

Ryan: Yeah. Superman.

tommy cresta: Well, that's Superman 4.

Ryan: Well, let's do it.

tommy cresta: Superman Returns, whatever. Remember the last one?

Ryan: Is that when he's flicking the peanuts?

tommy cresta: Yeah, he's at the bar, and he's like...

Ryan: Yeah. is unbar Well, that was bad Superman. That wasn't him, right? There's two.

tommy cresta: i feel Dude, that movie's so bad.

Ryan: Because he loses his powers, then there's a second one that gets the powers.

tommy cresta: That movie should never got made.

Ryan: Yeah. i I just remember the bad one, throwing him into, like, the dump. He's leaving him.

tommy cresta: No, he that's how he gets rid of bad Superman.

Ryan: Oh, is it? um haven't seen the movie in forever.

tommy cresta: It's terrible.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah, it's great.

tommy cresta: The first one of that movie, that first Superman movie will forever be like a top 10 superhero movie.

Ryan: Mm-hmm. ever be it's great

tommy cresta: That has such an effect on my life. what i was What I want to say is that I would love to see a Captain America movie in that same style of World War war i but do more like the modern day war.

Ryan: What I want to say is that I would love to see a Captain America in that scene of World War II and the New War, like the modern day war.

tommy cresta: we're in Like, sadly, the war in the Middle East.

Ryan: The war in the Middle East.

tommy cresta: But I like when, i feel like you don't see it very often, superheroes taking on the newer wars.

Ryan: But I like when, because you don't see the very office of heroes taking on the newer wars, like World War the Soldier War, any that.

tommy cresta: normally World War II, like, Soldier Boy or any of that. But even that scene in The Boys, I know The Boys very different from Marvel, but that scene when the guys are about raid the building and Homelander shows up and just busts through the place, I would love...

Ryan: But even that scene of the wars, I know the war is very different part. But that scene when Black Noir is in the building and Tony shows up and gets the war. Don't worry, guys. I got this one. Yeah.

tommy cresta: he's like, you're the real heroes.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah

tommy cresta: Like, that, I would love to see a more modern thing, because feel like that's where Captain America would thrive, like, in that, like,

Ryan: that would look doing

Ryan: so close

tommy cresta: It's so close quarters.

Ryan: so

tommy cresta: it's so like I would love to see more of the Civil War opening scene where he's fighting all the dudes.

Ryan: like i love to see more like the work title yeah i need more

tommy cresta: I need more of that.

Ryan: yeah j felt at the opening of this he was funny

tommy cresta: It felt like the opening of this, he was fighting like that. like It was hand-to-hand. He was throwing the shield.

Ryan: yeah not like

tommy cresta: I did not like his wings. I do have to say that.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: but what do you mean you don't like the way like

tommy cresta: I don't like the Wakanda part.

Ryan: You don't like the vibranium they have that now?

tommy cresta: No.

Ryan: I thought it was kind of cool.

tommy cresta: makes sense like

Ryan: It makes sense. So like you'd fucking help us out.

tommy cresta: I guess because I think you just i'm like you're Captain America now.

Ryan: Maybe

tommy cresta: Get rid of the wings. and not Falcon anymore.

Ryan: he doesn't have the serum.

tommy cresta: Yeah, I forgot.

Ryan: He needs the wings.

tommy cresta: I get that.

Ryan: i get He would just be a dude with a shield.

tommy cresta: i don't know.

tommy cresta: Yo, that shield could make me fucking awesome, dude.

Ryan: that's your i mean, it's true.

tommy cresta: I know there's one of the things that we never have ever had in the comments.

Ryan: I will say that the only thing with the shield, and I know this wasn't a thing in the movies. They never outright said it at least, but in the comics, he can only throw the shield so like accurately because the serum made him smarter as well.

tommy cresta: He can only throw his throat, so I didn't need to go

Ryan: Sam just doesn't have that.

tommy cresta: change

Ryan: Which I know.

tommy cresta: so know

Ryan: They never said that in the movies.

tommy cresta: ever said that

Ryan: But it's still a little pep even just like you got that shit down in like a month.

tommy cresta: that

Ryan: Like you're doing complex angles of it's going to hit that that, that, that, that and hit that guy in the dick and then come back to me.

tommy cresta: you come

Ryan: And I'm like that's and that's incredible.

tommy cresta: But he practiced it. You saw he saw his training montage.

Ryan: He did. He practiced it. We did. I'm so i'm just saying. It's like he he got that shit down fast.

tommy cresta: He did get that shit down fast. what do you What do you think?

Ryan: What do you think?

tommy cresta: What did you enjoy more?

Ryan: What did you enjoy more?

tommy cresta: The series or this?

Ryan: The experience? Yeah.

tommy cresta: feel like I'm on the same side.

Ryan: ah Kind of on the same level. Because...

tommy cresta: Because, like, I feel like when the series

Ryan: Like... i feel like when the series came out, it was still that beginning of the downfall. Where the MCU was still the MCU and people still had hope. And...

tommy cresta: And, um,

Ryan: um The show was just okay, if I remember it right.

tommy cresta: the show was just okay.

Ryan: Like, it was kind of exactly how I felt about this. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. It wasn't super memorable.

tommy cresta: It wasn't super memorable. But, I feel like that, I might like the show, because it just had more to do with Captain America.

Ryan: But... I feel like that... I might like the show more because it just had more to do with Captain America.

tommy cresta: Yeah, like, I like the, I was going to say, i like the show more.

Ryan: Yeah. and him and hugs just

tommy cresta: Yeah, and the animation that made it, whereas, you know, obviously, you have lot stuff to do.

Ryan: yeah And him taking that mantle. Whereas, you know, it obviously had a lot of stuff with Bucky too. But I think also fucking, I forget his name, John something.

tommy cresta: I think also, agree with John's topic, why are you talking about it?

Ryan: Wyatt Russell's character.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: I think I like that character.

tommy cresta: i think John Walker.

Ryan: John Walker. Thank you.

tommy cresta: Yeah, which you're going to get more of, which I'm excited for.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: with the Thunderbolts.

Ryan: Thunderbolts. But um ah we still stand on that. He did nothing wrong. It wasn't a good look, but.

tommy cresta: was Yeah, it wasn't a good look.

Ryan: yeah it wasn't a good His best friend got killed in front of him. He got mad.

tommy cresta: Yeah. yeah

Ryan: it's a you know what I mean?

tommy cresta: I've known against what he did.

Ryan: It's kind of valid.

tommy cresta: I think we said that in the episode when we talked about it.

Ryan: so Yeah, it's kind of...

tommy cresta: remember really, i think the first couple episodes were weak.

Ryan: I really... think the first call I said this was... I think I loved the last couple of

tommy cresta: And i think like I loved the last couple, though. Because I remember really liking the finale.

Ryan: remember really liking finale. Yeah, I don't really remember enough.

tommy cresta: which I know some people have like an issue with is like that they talk about him being black and like, they're like, that's like the whole show.

Ryan: I think that you have to talk about it. i

tommy cresta: I do not agree with that.

Ryan: that

tommy cresta: I think that you have to, you have to talk about it, especially with the way the world is the U S is right now.

Ryan: think have Especially with the way the world is the U.S. in right now.

tommy cresta: And those kinds of things are an issue.

Ryan: And those kind of things are an issue.

tommy cresta: I mean, the things with athletes, uh, famously flyers player, Wayne Simmons, who was beloved by the city had like three bad games in a row and they started throwing bananas at them on the ice, which,

Ryan: I mean, some things with athletes, famously fire players and students who were loved by the city, had like three big games in a row, and they started throwing bananas at them. Yeah.

tommy cresta: ah So these things do happen.

Ryan: So these things do happen.

tommy cresta: i think that hit that whole speech at the end about it doesn't matter what I am.

Ryan: I think that whole speech the end of the night, it doesn't matter what I am. I think I'm just trying to be healthy.

tommy cresta: He's like, I'm just trying to be help people. I think that was an important scene.

Ryan: I think that's an important thing.

tommy cresta: I love that scene.

Ryan: I love that speech. Especially with the new suit, which I know we both wanted to stay in suit.

tommy cresta: Especially with the new suit, which I know we both wanted to stay the suit. yeah

Ryan: Yeah, I like this. I mean, I don't hate the muted one.

tommy cresta: But he hated it. That's why they got rid of it.

Ryan: that's what I think he just hated the costume.

tommy cresta: Yeah, hated the head feast for it.

Ryan: He hated the head. He hated the head, yeah. Although I don't mind the second one. The more, like, muted blue and gray.

tommy cresta: Yeah, the darker kind of clothes to the caps.

Ryan: um Yeah. I don't mind that.

tommy cresta: Winter Soldier one.

Ryan: Yeah. But I do think the white and blue was pretty cool.

tommy cresta: I like it. It was because it was different.

Ryan: It was. It was different.

tommy cresta: and It was in his suit.

Ryan: Yeah. It popped more.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: they did power Yeah.

tommy cresta: It did pop with the white mask.

Ryan: with the layman. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Damn, that was a good suit, though.

Ryan: and It was cool.

tommy cresta: Damn.

Ryan: He gets rid of that shit real quick.

tommy cresta: Real quick.

Ryan: Real quick.

tommy cresta: Never shows up again.

Ryan: Never chose it. Danny Mackey's like, I'll wear it for two days and that's it.

tommy cresta: Two words.

Ryan: We gotta film this. Yeah. But I hope...

tommy cresta: but

Ryan: um What's his name? new Falcon. Danny Ramirez.

tommy cresta: oh

Ryan: I forget his character name. But I hope he gets like an actual suit.

tommy cresta: ah tour i think he's I think that's what they were kind of hinting at.

Ryan: think he's I think that's a great fight.

tommy cresta: As much as he's like, no, it's not going to happen.

Ryan: Yeah. yeah Because it is the very end of the movie. He's like, if I made some...

tommy cresta: Well, we haven't said why, but we'll get into why the suit gets...

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: We think you should get in his suit.

Ryan: Knocked out of commission. But the the whole time he's flying around in like the stock, like military one that Sam originally had.

tommy cresta: It's a green. Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: it green and

Ryan: Yeah. Because that was, again, how that it started.

tommy cresta: i

Ryan: he He was flying that in Afghanistan, like you were saying you wanted to see.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: And he's just flying around like the base set with nothing cool.

tommy cresta: and just one around

Ryan: I just, don't I wonder what his is to look like.

tommy cresta: I did love that scene where he chased the guys down.

Ryan: I did love that. the guy

tommy cresta: He's like, damn, no one saw that.

Ryan: Yeah. Connor did not like that.

tommy cresta: I like it.

Ryan: I like it.

tommy cresta: I thought it was just, it didn't have to be, it could they could have taken it way too far.

Ryan: It was just... It didn't have to be... They could have taken it way too far.

tommy cresta: Like where he could have been dancing for a long time.

Ryan: Yeah. It was just a quick...

tommy cresta: Yeah, it was a quick little quip.

Ryan: Didn't overstay it.

tommy cresta: I liked it.

Ryan: Yeah. Quick little fist bump on a quip.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: I'm okay with that.

tommy cresta: But do you want to, do you nobody saw that?

Ryan: Right. If he did like a dance and was like, nobody saw that? That would suck.

tommy cresta: would have went fast, yeah.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: you want get into spoilers?

Ryan: Yeah. Might as well.

tommy cresta: Yeah. So, jump ahead.

Ryan: Jump ahead.

tommy cresta: and

Ryan: I mean, it's not a lot.

tommy cresta: What time are we at? I mean, feel like there's not a lot left to talk about.

Ryan: Yeah. talk about No, we talked about a bunch. I'm sure we already spoiled some those.

tommy cresta: um sure Yeah, but this we're going to spoil some stuff.

Ryan: doesn't really matter. We're going to go real deep into it.

tommy cresta: you want to like five minutes ahead, we'll see what...

Ryan: Real deep into it.

tommy cresta: Yeah, real deep.

Ryan: When that shark came out.

tommy cresta: that When Batman showed up.

Ryan: Yeah, yeah. When Batman started surfing that missile.

tommy cresta: that is

Ryan: It was amazing.

tommy cresta: See, I fucking hated that.

Ryan: See, I fucking hated that. You hated that? That was one of my biggest memories in the entire movie.

tommy cresta: That was one of my biggest preppies in the entire movie.

Ryan: I didn't mind that.

tommy cresta: i

Ryan: He had to kick it down.

tommy cresta: i

Ryan: Dude, literally just think my brain went to Batman and Robin.

tommy cresta: Dude, I just think my brain went to Batman and around when they're surfing through the air.

Ryan: I mean, so did that so of mine.

tommy cresta: so

Ryan: It was just like instant, like, nope, don't ever do that.

tommy cresta: And it was just like instant like, nope, don't ever do that shit again, Marvel. Yeah, I wasn't...

Ryan: Yeah, I like, so I love the political side, though, in that scene.

tommy cresta: I like... i don't I love the political side, though, of that scene with Harrison Ford and the ah Japanese president.

Ryan: Oh, yeah, what was his name?

tommy cresta: i

Ryan: I forget.

tommy cresta: I have it in here.

Ryan: But I love it.

tommy cresta: But I loved all...

Ryan: um Somebody just crashed.

tommy cresta: Bernan?

Ryan: um Yeah, what was that?

tommy cresta: Um...

Ryan: No, the political stuff was okay. Because it was actually like and kind of a mystery.

tommy cresta: Prime Minister, I'm sorry.

Ryan: was trying to figure it out.

tommy cresta: Take a hero horror.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: He was really good.

Ryan: He was really Yeah, he was good.

tommy cresta: I like those scenes with him.

Ryan: I was really sad when wanted to make a steal, though.

tommy cresta: I was really sad for the one Navy SEAL though. The main one.

Ryan: Oh, yeah, the guy that dies.

tommy cresta: I'm upset.

Ryan: Yeah, that was sad.

tommy cresta: Can't believe he killed him. I'm not going to lie, was kind of pissed because I wanted to see more of him.

Ryan: I was not going lie to this, but wanted to see more of that.

tommy cresta: Yeah, all the Navy SEAL stuff, the way their bait, will say, the only thing they did wrong with the SEALs, I mean, it could be different.

Ryan: Yeah, all the maybe-seals are the way they're gate. I will say, the only thing that they're wrong with this group, mean, it could be different.

tommy cresta: I'm going off of my army experience.

Ryan: I'm going off high-arm experience, but, sorry.

tommy cresta: But, sorry.

Ryan: Who's texting you?

tommy cresta: Sam's calling me.

Ryan: This is far more important.

tommy cresta: She knows I'm, I think because she's getting ready to drive home.

Ryan: Yeah.

Ryan: can't drive on a remote?

tommy cresta: Oh, Ethereum went down 6% today. think I pulled out that.

Ryan: 6%. You own Ethereum?

tommy cresta: Not anymore.

Ryan: What did you sell it at?

tommy cresta: I sold. I sold, I did make a problem.

Ryan: Make a product? I did make a product.

tommy cresta: It was not enough to, you know what sucked?

Ryan: You what's up?

tommy cresta: I sold my Bitcoin the day.

Ryan: I sold my Bitcoin the day... You had Bitcoin?

tommy cresta: I had Bitcoin the day before the election.

Ryan: I had Bitcoin the day before the election.

tommy cresta: I sold it that day because was like, let's pass one.

Ryan: I sold it that day. Wait, this election? How the fuck did you get Bitcoin? Okay.

tommy cresta: I just bought some.

Ryan: Venmo, you can buy something.

tommy cresta: ah Venmo, you can buy stocks and stuff. So I put money in and I had it for a couple months.

Ryan: So I put money in. Bitcoin went up 10,000% in the biggest jump in Bitcoin history.

tommy cresta: i like oh I was like, oh, it's doing good. And I was like, oh depending on how the election goes.

Ryan: sold the day before.

tommy cresta: I have no, again, i have no care well who.

Ryan: um no

tommy cresta: It's not my thing. I'm independent. um But I was like, depending on who wins, this the stock can go very different ways.

Ryan: but i was like on who win very different

tommy cresta: i I thought it was going down no matter what.

Ryan: i thought was going yeah

tommy cresta: So I was like, I'll just sell now and just take my losses.

Ryan: want to sell down my

tommy cresta: Bitcoin went up 10,000% than that.

Ryan: bitcoin one thousand for percent yeah and sister

tommy cresta: It was the biggest jump in Bitcoin history. I sold the day before.

Ryan: i sold a day before

tommy cresta: i Dude, I walked into the sunroom and I laid, it's not the sunroom now, whatever that room you want to call it, the living room.

Ryan: think I think, you know, I walked in on the sunburn and leaked, what's not something else, whatever that was. Yeah. The living room.

tommy cresta: I walked in there and it came across the box.

Ryan: I walked in there and he crossed the bottom.

tommy cresta: was like, there's no fucking way.

Ryan: There's no fucking way. I just sold it and lost money.

tommy cresta: I just sold and lost money. um

Ryan: God.

tommy cresta: But yeah, that that was a little rough.

Ryan: What were they talking about?

tommy cresta: What was i talking about?

Ryan: I don't remember.

tommy cresta: Oh, surfing in Captain America.

Ryan: Oh, surfing. Yeah.

tommy cresta: And then the political stuff, which we both really liked.

Ryan: And then the boy, you go through life.

tommy cresta: I liked all that part of the movie.

Ryan: I liked all that kind of movie.

tommy cresta: anything that And we got to hear about fucking Animantium.

Ryan: Anything that, don't get to hear about fucking anime. You admit that?

tommy cresta: How say it?

Ryan: Adamantium?

tommy cresta: Animantium. Thank you.

Ryan: Adamantium. Adamantium.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: Adamantium. The Adamantium condominium, yes.

tommy cresta: Animantium. you put

Ryan: Brand new establishment.

tommy cresta: Animantium. go Oh, because we finally got to learn about the Celestial that's been just sitting out in the Indian in indian Ocean, right?

Ryan: oh i got maybe one last Sitting in the ocean, yeah.

tommy cresta: Five years we waited...

Ryan: Way too long.

tommy cresta: It was actually four years. I was wrong when I was talking to you.

Ryan: Can we get Black Knight now? I need Kid Harrington to hold a sword again.

tommy cresta: It's never happening.

Ryan: So bad. It's never happening.

tommy cresta: The Jon Snow show got canceled.

Ryan: john knows direct Blades never happened.

tommy cresta: Blade's never happening.

Ryan: Blades never. There's only going to be one Blade.

tommy cresta: It's only going to be one blade ever.

Ryan: Wherever that line is.

tommy cresta: and That was a great scene.

Ryan: That was great. That was great so on the movie.

tommy cresta: i was so harsh on that movie. I feel like.

Ryan: Yeah. People were harsh on Eternals.

tommy cresta: I'm talking about Deadpool.

Ryan: eternals Eternals is like this. thought about that. Oh, I know, but I agree with you.

tommy cresta: Oh, I thought you were saying

Ryan: People were harsh on that movie. And then I'm saying people were harsh on Eternals.

tommy cresta: yeah I know, I feel like they really were. I really liked Eternals.

Ryan: I feel like Eternals is very similar to this movie. It's just, right it's fine. Agreed.

tommy cresta: They did a speedster way better than The Flash, did it?

Ryan: Macari? agreed

tommy cresta: Great speedster.

Ryan: mckari

tommy cresta: She was a badass.

Ryan: She was badass. Yeah, she awesome.

tommy cresta: All the characters were really good in that.

Ryan: All the characters were really good.

tommy cresta: i like Barry Keoghan.

Ryan: I love Edward. like Barry's movie. I love James Tyree and Edward in it.

tommy cresta: I love David Tyree Henry in it.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: um John Madden?

Ryan: John Madden?

tommy cresta: Richard Madden.

Ryan: Richard Madden. Richard Madden.

tommy cresta: That's my choice for Bond.

Ryan: He was okay.

tommy cresta: Still my Bond, though.

Ryan: and the the younger girl. I forget. Sprite, I think.

tommy cresta: Oh, yeah.

Ryan: Chloe Zhao.

tommy cresta: Chloe Zhao.

Ryan: Chloe Zhao was good.

tommy cresta: Who doesn't love some Chloe Zhao?

Ryan: He doesn't love some Chloe Zhao. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: Movie's alright. um I will say, for the spoiler, fucking Red Hulk is not a part of this movie.

tommy cresta: I will say, for a piece of work, fucking Red Wolf is not part this movie.

Ryan: He is like the end twist.

tommy cresta: He's like the end twist.

Ryan: And that is not...

tommy cresta: Yeah, they kind they do play like it's a ah twist.

Ryan: da like the He's in every trailer.

tommy cresta: Make Red Wolf be there.

Ryan: He's in the main poster. like

Ryan: Make Red Hulk a main character.

tommy cresta: Make him like the main villain.

Ryan: Make him like the main villain if you have to. I don't care.

tommy cresta: I would have rather just had the whole movie that he was already read. Like, I didn't realize that he didn't know he was read.

Ryan: yeah I didn't I you were there.

tommy cresta: I did not catch on to that until they were on the ship.

Ryan: did not catch on with that. they were on the shit I thought he was the whole time.

tommy cresta: I thought he knew the whole time.

Ryan: Yeah, no, so did I.

tommy cresta: Like, when he hit the table and broke the thing, I was like, oh, he knows he's read.

Ryan: No, no, no, yeah, so did I i mean, i I assumed that he was taking the pills to, like, suppress it. I thought that's what it was.

tommy cresta: Exactly what I was thinking.

Ryan: Exactly what I was saying.

tommy cresta: I thought the decision to make it Gamma was so dumb.

Ryan: I thought the decision to make it gamma was so dumb.

tommy cresta: Like, i don't think him I don't think it made sense.

Ryan: Like, I don't think it made sense.

tommy cresta: Like, you don't think you would have had someone test those pills or something?

Ryan: Like, you would have had someone test those pills or something?

tommy cresta: like

Ryan: Well, he couldn't. It was the only guy that made them. He wanted to keep it a secret from everybody. So the the only guy he trusted with making them is a good no.

tommy cresta: That was a stupid decision on this part.

Ryan: No, yeah, totally was.

tommy cresta: I don't know.

Ryan: I don't know. It just was weird thing.

tommy cresta: there' seemed It just was a weird... Would that even work?

Ryan: Would that even work?

tommy cresta: oh

Ryan: Oh, probably not.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: It's a marvel. Who fucking cares? It's, like yeah you know, it's gamma radiation.

tommy cresta: I can't. I'm going to go stand in some gamma radiation and see what happens.

Ryan: That shit doesn't, it's real. That's not how it works. the Gamma radiation kills you.

tommy cresta: and we're

Ryan: It turn you into a fucking green guy or red guy.

tommy cresta: You don't know that.

Ryan: You want to test it?

tommy cresta: but thought

Ryan: umll I'll go test it right now. I'll call some, I'll make some calls.

tommy cresta: You'll go stand in front gamma?

Ryan: No, I'll put you in front of it, dickhead.

tommy cresta: Oh.

Ryan: um

tommy cresta: but no

Ryan: No, but I was thinking throughout the movie, like if they really genuinely never showed Red Hulk, never showed anything, if somehow by some fucking miracle it was truly hidden, like you think it would have been ah good twist of like seeing it through – because I was thinking of it.

tommy cresta: If they really did, never should have recorded. Never should have. If somehow, ah sound like some fucking miracle was through it, like, you think it would have been a good choice?

tommy cresta: Of like seeing it through a couple of things, like seeing it, right?

Ryan: Like seeing it throughout the movie, you're sitting there going like, all right.

tommy cresta: You're sitting there and going, alright.

Ryan: Thaddeus Rolfe turns into Red Hulk.

tommy cresta: That is supposed to be good.

Ryan: I we're going to see that, see this in that movie, see that in this movie. and then you're watching it throughout and he's like going through, he's getting angry. He has to calm himself down. You're like, oh shit. Does he know?

tommy cresta: I don't think, I think no matter what, people assumed was going to be Red Hulk.

Ryan: Does he know he's Red Hulk? And then he smashes the table and it cracks and you're like, oh shit, we might get Red Hulk.

tommy cresta: No.

Ryan: And then he starts transforming into him and on the boat and we're like, oh shit, we're going to Red Hulk.

tommy cresta: No. oh spirit

Ryan: And then he stops and we're like, fuck. And in the end, he turns into Red Hulk.

tommy cresta: i don't i think no matter what

Ryan: I don't, I think no matter what you assume,

tommy cresta: pe assumed he was going to be red hole i mean

Ryan: I mean, yeah, you're totally right.

tommy cresta: like i

Ryan: But I'm saying, by some miracle, if nobody knew, if nobody assumed he was going to turn into Red Hulk, I think, do you think it would have been effective to have that, like, from in the story?

tommy cresta: now

tommy cresta: now like

Ryan: No?

tommy cresta: I just think the way they went about it wasn't done though well.

Ryan: I just think the way they went about it. Yeah.

tommy cresta: If you wanted it to actually feel like it was a twist, there needed to be more to it.

Ryan: If you wanted to actually feel like there'd be even more, less to it.

tommy cresta: Less to it.

Ryan: You should show, like, I'm going to say, I mean, they show really early on.

tommy cresta: You should show... mean they show it really early on, his leg growing in that one scene.

Ryan: Yeah. And, I mean, they make point that Red Hulk's giving, or stopping him from being

tommy cresta: And, I mean, they make it seem like that the pills give are stopping him from being Red Hulk. I feel like the twist was more that they make him Red Hulk.

Ryan: I feel like the Toss was an agent.

tommy cresta: No, I avoid it.

Ryan: No, it was. But I feel like...

tommy cresta: I feel like

Ryan: agree with you. I feel like they just showed that incorrectly by, like...

tommy cresta: ice cream to the trail

Ryan: think by showing it in the trailer. Because, like, you're thinking of him...

tommy cresta: all time

Ryan: The whole time you're watching, you know the trailer. You know he's in the movie.

tommy cresta: think

Ryan: You're thinking, like, alright, he's just suppressing it. And then they drop it on you. You're like, no, this is making him turn into Red Hulk. You're like, alright, well, that makes a little less sense, but okay.

tommy cresta: Yeah. Yeah.

Ryan: I feel like...

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: If they never showed it, you could just say, like, all right, he's just taking heart meds.

tommy cresta: they

Ryan: Or maybe, you know, maybe you probably probably would still assume he's taking it to suppress this.

tommy cresta: make moving probably

Ryan: Because I feel like, I mean, know.

tommy cresta: yeah causes i mean i't like

Ryan: I haven't listened to anybody talk about the movie yet. But I feel like people felt the same as us.

tommy cresta: like felt the same as

Ryan: Like, i don't I don't think that's a crazy thought to have.

tommy cresta: don

Ryan: If both of us were thinking that, like he was taking those pills to suppress being a Red Hulk, that's what I assumed to begin with.

tommy cresta: both yeah

tommy cresta: one

Ryan: And then they explained it.

tommy cresta: like

Ryan: You know, obviously that's not what it was. But I feel like plenty people thought that.

tommy cresta: Yeah, and I mean, there was never a time where I was like, oh, he's going – like, I knew he wasn't transforming on the ship.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. i

tommy cresta: I think everyone knew that because every trailer scene where he transforms is where he's behind the podium.

Ryan: trail is being where kind his long raised behind the o yeah

tommy cresta: So I don't know.

Ryan: so um know i feel like

tommy cresta: I feel like maybe the trailers are why dislike those kind parts so much because they showed it so many times.

Ryan: the trailerss this kind of show man yeah if they' never showed you how we transform

tommy cresta: If they had never shown me how he transformed and just – like, i feel like there's so many – like, Marvel used to, like, edit trailers to make it, like, look like something was happening, but it wasn't happening.

Ryan: like it's like the sweet like more we used to like an grow like like something was happening but I would love for them do more because I hated knowing that if we had the one house, we had the charter blocks, all have designa.

tommy cresta: I would love for them to do that more because I hated knowing that it was going to be at the White House. It was going in the Cherry Blossom. It all going to happen in D.C. I never it was going be anywhere else.

Ryan: I never felt would be anywhere else.

tommy cresta: So it never felt like anything was at risk at any other moment.

Ryan: So it never felt like anything was at risk in other one. Yeah, for sure. I agree with that.

tommy cresta: so if i

Ryan: The trailer absolutely showed too much. Yeah.

tommy cresta: and

Ryan: Yeah,

tommy cresta: Mediocre movie.

Ryan: it was alright.

tommy cresta: Very sad. me Sad to be mediocre because it was above my expectations.

Ryan: It was above my expectations, but again, expectations were very low.

tommy cresta: But again, my expectations were very low.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: And unlike the next movie.

Ryan: And unlike the next movie, that was really high.

tommy cresta: That was really high and it did not hit.

Ryan: did not hit. Because it's crazy that he has.

tommy cresta: Because it's crazy that you have... Because Longley's was 2023, right?

Ryan: Because Longley was probably three, right? Which one was fourth?

tommy cresta: Or 2024.

Ryan: No, it was last year.

tommy cresta: So, I mean, he was...

Ryan: So, I mean, he was, I mean, people know, I mean, the box level shows that they know who this guy is now.

tommy cresta: I mean, people know... I mean, the box office shows that they know when long who this guy is now.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: But I think we're in the minority on the next one.

Ryan: But I think he wasn't a minority.

tommy cresta: That

Ryan: On Monkey? Mm-hmm.

tommy cresta: has good reviews.

Ryan: That's a review.

tommy cresta: Yeah, it does.

Ryan: No. I haven't seen a lot of people not like it. It does not have great review.

tommy cresta: not no

Ryan: It has like a 60. Yeah, not great review.

tommy cresta: Yeah, not great reviews. Better both of us, I think.

Ryan: The Monk, right?

tommy cresta: Well, better than you.

Ryan: Not the monkeys.

tommy cresta: The band?

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: Um, but yeah, do you have anything else to add to Captain America?

Ryan: It has an 80? eighty Fucking 80? That's bullshit. Captain America's fine.

tommy cresta: ke is it

Ryan: It's an entertaining MCU movie. It's not super memorable. And that was the next day I woke up and I was like, I don't, I barely remember a damn thing from that movie.

tommy cresta: and

Ryan: Nothing really important to the, you know, overall branching MCU story happens. But at the same time, I'm okay with that if it's a Captain America story, if it's a Sam Wilson story.

tommy cresta: but I'm okay with that if it's a Captain America story, if it's a Frank Wilson story. But it just kind of wasn't.

Ryan: But it just kind of wasn't. So very disappointing.

tommy cresta: So, very disappointing. Kind disappointing.

Ryan: Kind of disappointing. I was expecting more disappointment, but I'm still disappointed in the lack of disappointment that I am disappointed in.

tommy cresta: I was expecting a Ford disappointment, but still disappointed in the lack of disappointment that I disappointed.

Ryan: I don't know what the fuck I'm saying anymore, but it's an okay movie.

tommy cresta: I don't know if it's going be fan mine, but it's okay.

Ryan: You can still watch it.

tommy cresta: You can still watch

Ryan: It's not it's not an MCU movie that and you have to skip.

tommy cresta: It's not issue.

Ryan: It's fine. you know It's okay. But I do hope that we see more of Sam Wilson in the future and they let him have his own fucking story and don't make him a side character again.

tommy cresta: but

tommy cresta: I agree.

Ryan: agree. Yeah.

tommy cresta: um but I feel like I've said everything about my opinions.

Ryan: um I feel like I about my scene.

tommy cresta: I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would.

Ryan: I enjoyed the movie more than father would.

tommy cresta: That doesn't mean it was to my standard of what I think would be a good MCU movie.

Ryan: doesn't mean...

tommy cresta: I feel like MCU is still... I know a lot of people are like, oh, MCU is back with Deadpool.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: I still don't agree with that yet.

Ryan: still agree with that yeah

tommy cresta: i feel like we need some...

Ryan: look

tommy cresta: Loki was still pretty good. thunder I liked Loki.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: But it's still way more bad than good.

Ryan: but so way more yeah

tommy cresta: So, hope I really do have hope in the Thunderbolt movie.

Ryan: so really have looking other

tommy cresta: like It just looks like that there's something there.

Ryan: it just looks like that there's something it just it kind of looks fun

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: it looks more and It looks like they actually cared.

Ryan: looks more and it looks like they actually like

tommy cresta: like because Even in the trailers, there's a lot of practical scenes like where you know that they're on location doing something.

Ryan: even the toilet there's a we know that they're on

tommy cresta: like when I feel like most of them now are not like that.

Ryan: I feel like most of them now are not like that. Yeah. And it looks like all the actors are having fun.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: Yeah. Like, i think, um what's his name?

tommy cresta: I think...

Ryan: Winter Soldier.

tommy cresta: Tazman's not walking out of that first scene.

Ryan: No, not at all. she's not and She's not in any other fucking scene.

tommy cresta: What a fucking waste of a great character.

Ryan: Yeah. Meg Taskmaster.

tommy cresta: Tazman.

Ryan: Isn't she mute, too?

tommy cresta: I don't care.

Ryan: Yeah. I don't care that she's a woman. People were upset about that.

tommy cresta: Yeah, I could care less about that.

Ryan: I could care less.

tommy cresta: If you make her bad ass, I'd be...

Ryan: You make the, one of the coolest, think I takes on the Avengers on the regular.

tommy cresta: Great Spider-Man fight. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Ryan: The fucking, you make that character a bitch.

tommy cresta: fucking great spiderman fight

Ryan: Not in that way.

tommy cresta: again yeah

Ryan: I said the wrong word to describe that. I didn't mean it like that.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: You know, a loser that's, that works better. Um, yeah.

Ryan: That sucks.

tommy cresta: but

Ryan: But I think the actors are having fun with that. Like, Florence Pugh seems to be having fun. Because I feel like those side characters, they just, they get big actors to play side roles in the MCU.

tommy cresta: Because like those side characters, they just get pretty active with the side roles. feel like that's just a complicated game.

Ryan: feel like that's just a fun gig. You show up for like, yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah, probably still getting paid really well.

Ryan: Really well. Yeah, you get paid well.

tommy cresta: Yeah, getting paid You should go

Ryan: You show up for a quarter of the shoot and you have some fun scenes.

tommy cresta: You should to quarter. You should go to a quarter.

Ryan: You know you just chop it up.

tommy cresta: You should up to a quarter.

Ryan: It's probably a good time.

tommy cresta: You should go up quarter.

Ryan: David Harbour seems to love it.

tommy cresta: Yeah, i feel like David Harbour is having a blast with this one.

Ryan: Yeah, I feel like David Harbour's having blast. Yeah, Wyatt Russell.

tommy cresta: Because I feel like he's been hyping it up.

Ryan: Mm-hmm.

tommy cresta: like he's ah e Yeah, Wyatt Russell seems to love playing.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. For, oh yeah.

tommy cresta: And he got a new helmet, which he loves.

Ryan: Bob. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Talked about that a lot.

Ryan: They did a little bit, but they did.

tommy cresta: I'm excited. I feel like it's going to be a really fun time.

Ryan: You think you'll have six fingers in the movie or just the poster?

tommy cresta: And I'm really excited for Century.

tommy cresta: I mean, I hope they do it well. As Bob in the trailer.

Ryan: You don't remember that?

tommy cresta: I don't think I'm spoiling anything now.

Ryan: only right

tommy cresta: Because I feel like the last trailer did show him.

Ryan: last shot did show they did a little bit but they did yeah

tommy cresta: Yeah, you see the shadow one of them.

Ryan: think you'll have six fingers in the movie or just the post

tommy cresta: What?

Ryan: you know't remember

tommy cresta: you know Oh!

Ryan: When people got mad for them using AI.

tommy cresta: Yeah, I did.

Ryan: and

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: but

tommy cresta: oh So, Marvel could have a really good summer.

Ryan: So Marvel could have really good Thunderbolts.

tommy cresta: Well, when does Thunderbolts come out? March, right? Thunderbolts is March?

Ryan: Could. What is what? I don't know.

tommy cresta: Well, it could lead into the summer and then have Fantastic Four if that's also good.

Ryan: Maybe. I am fucking praying, man. May 2nd for Thunderbolts. maybe

tommy cresta: I think Fantastic Four is going be good.

Ryan: i am fucking praying man

tommy cresta: right

Ryan: may second for thunder

tommy cresta: We both... Yes, that could lead them right into the summer.

Ryan: yes i could be the writer

tommy cresta: Especially when they have go against Superman, which comes out July.

Ryan: one they going

tommy cresta: July 11th.

Ryan: Superman's gonna kick their fucking ass.

tommy cresta: Superman is about to be...

Ryan: Yeah, no shit.

tommy cresta: The more I watch that show, that movie's going to be unbelievable. I'll just say, confirm, Ron Pattinson's not the Batman or the DC.

Ryan: who ever thought that was gonna happen as a moron it was just weird hu

tommy cresta: It was just weird how all the timing went.

Ryan: i mean

tommy cresta: With Eddie Machete's thing getting delayed indefinitely.

Ryan: they and

tommy cresta: Like, his movie, Pattinson's Batman getting delayed more and more.

Ryan: his movie and some yeah

tommy cresta: I'm very excited about Clayface.

Ryan: I'm very excited about that movie.

tommy cresta: That movie's going be so good.

Ryan: That movie's going to be good. Yeah, I hope so.

tommy cresta: I mean, Flanagan's a good one.

Ryan: I still got to watch Creature Commandos, too.

Ryan: No, I think that'd be cool. Yeah.

tommy cresta: mean,

Ryan: I wonder, is it going to be Tim whatever is Robin? I mean, it must be because we're getting Damian Wayne.

tommy cresta: it's like,

tommy cresta: So I think they're going to be...

Ryan: I think that would be, I mean, it has to be.

tommy cresta: I think i mean, it would have to be Tim. I feel like Tim's the perfect one to go to.

Ryan: Yeah. Tim's the perfect one to do.

tommy cresta: Unless it could be like kind of like an early on and Dynamic Duo will be further down the line, that he becomes Nightwing at that point.

Ryan: Unless could be like early on and after it would be Fred Van Launay, it becomes Nightwing attack. Maybe.

tommy cresta: I don't care who it is.

Ryan: And I don't care.

tommy cresta: I'm just excited to see a Robin.

Ryan: Chris O'Connor needs to not be the only Robbins.

tommy cresta: Chris O'Connell needs to not be the only Robin I've seen on screen. And um who ever played in the Batman show?

Ryan: And we've already played in the Batman show.

Ryan: yeah it's only an hour twenty seven too be

tommy cresta: Yeah, I just remember it's not very not very super scary.

Ryan: Yeah, i sure it's not very super scary. It's more like TV.

tommy cresta: It's like more like creepy.

Ryan: It's more on the horizon that I've had.

tommy cresta: It's more on the hereditary side of things. Which I know sometimes to like that.

Ryan: Gotcha.

tommy cresta: just said that. But I could care fucking less. You're so bold.

Ryan: Wow. You're so bold.

tommy cresta: I'm so bold in my takes.

Ryan: You're so bold. You're so powerful.

Ryan: moquefer reaffirms georgia

Ryan: horrible we he is also surprising healthy

tommy cresta: albeit sick, since a human.

Ryan: yeah stick to her buddy

tommy cresta: Yeah, i me and Ryan kind of, think that's like our agreement on and a quick synopsis on the film.

Ryan: yeah i ryan like that end the question

tommy cresta: When twin brothers find a mysterious wind-up monkey, a series of outrageous deaths tear their family apart.

Ryan: two <unk>s one monkeys here's an outbreak yeah funny works

tommy cresta: 25 years later, the monkey begins a new killing spree, forcing the estranged siblings to confront the cursed toy. I also think the movie should have stuck with them young.

Ryan: I also think the movies should have stuck with them young yeah I think that would have think I think I'd agree with that yeah I assume the young kids yeah probably the probably wasn't hard to find let's

tommy cresta: liked the younger part of the movie more than the when they were adults. the Were they actual twins? Yeah. I feel like they were two different people.

tommy cresta: Let's

Ryan: see this

tommy cresta: see this.

tommy cresta: Why don't I see it? don't know.

Ryan: I don't fucking know um

Ryan: That's where that motherfucker was from.

tommy cresta: That's what that motherfucker was talking about.

Ryan: God, I was trying to picture the kid with the long hair.

tommy cresta: What? I was trying to think.

Ryan: He was ah your favorite character in Halloween Ends.

tommy cresta: was

Ryan: I was trying to picture him.

tommy cresta: o

Ryan: Because you know me with faces.

tommy cresta: no

Ryan: I'm like, I'm dying. I can't figure out who this motherfucker is.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: i didn't realize his mom just killed.

tommy cresta: I didn't realize um his mom was S.H.I.E.L.K. until I got home yesterday.

Ryan: Oh, shit. Yeah. oh Fuck.

tommy cresta: I love Theo James, though.

Ryan: I loved your game.

tommy cresta: I didn't love him in this role.

Ryan: I didn't love him as well.

tommy cresta: It doesn't take away that I think the dude's a really good actor.

Ryan: Yeah, I think he is. Yeah, I think he'd be cool, Bond. Yeah. Mm-hmm.

tommy cresta: And I would love for, he still is at the, like, if I was to put five guys out there to, like, watch them do the Bond, like, watch them, have them go, he'd be on there.

Ryan: was that like five guys

Ryan: plastic like to happen watch ah addition yeah i think he'd be cool by

tommy cresta: yeah Because my dad loved him in The Gentleman Show.

Ryan: my dad loved it in the yeah

tommy cresta: Oh, forgot he's in the Time Traveler's Wife remake.

Ryan: time of like

tommy cresta: First off, fuck you for remaking that, whoever that was. That movie's an amazing film, the first one. Shout out my ah ah guy Eric Bana. Love that dude. Is he from Australia?

Ryan: Big Australia guy. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Never knew that. He always plays an American.

Ryan: yeah and Yeah, when he's not doing Australian movies. It's the Hulk.

tommy cresta: It's the Hulk.

Ryan: It is the Hulk.

tommy cresta: And every military soldier ever.

Ryan: Yeah. Racks his nuts with that tank. Great scene. Or when he punches that dog in the balls.

tommy cresta: I love that movie.

Ryan: i love that movie. That's fair.

tommy cresta: Like, as like a kid, like...

Ryan: It's a fun movie. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Not Jeff Bridges, um...

Ryan: Yeah, he was scary.

tommy cresta: Nick Nolte scared the fuck out of as a kid.

Ryan: Yeah. yeah he was gay

tommy cresta: Yeah.

tommy cresta: i I just said we were done talking about severe movies.

Ryan: I just heard that part was true. And then Ang Lee did all the moab for Hulk. That's still funny.

tommy cresta: That's still so funny to me.

Ryan: They wouldn't let Eric Bana do it.

tommy cresta: Angling was

Ryan: Ang Lee was like, um I know better. I'm directing this. I'm going to do it.

tommy cresta: Tangley.

Ryan: But yeah,

tommy cresta: um But yeah, this film as so actually stars Osgood Perkins, Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, I think you said, Rowan Campbell, Elijah Wood, Sarah Levy, plays the main cast.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: I thought ah when Osgood Perkins squatted down to talk to him, I laughed out loud because i just I don't think I was expecting him to sit there.

Ryan: i' when o burtiquaed down

Ryan: i laugh out I don't think I would expect him to sit there. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: i didn't know that was I didn't know what he looked like.

tommy cresta: I didn't know. and Just because ah the chops and everything looked – so his death was probably my the one that I was – that really – that one really made me uncomfortable.

Ryan: Just because of the chop and everything. Yeah. His death probably the one that I would. Was that the queasy one you said? That one really didn't want to come to you.

tommy cresta: I just – because I just – they did a video.

Ryan: I didn't mind that one. just, because just, they do the video.

tommy cresta: It was Osgo Perkins, Theo James, and I want to say the the his son, Petey.

Ryan: ober burkekin beauty and was It and I want to say his son, Petey. They sat down with two morticians and they showed them the deaths.

tommy cresta: They sat down with two morticians, and they showed them the deaths. And they asked them, like, if these ever happened.

Ryan: And they asked him, these are how

tommy cresta: And they talked – I saw before the movie, and they talked about how they've had multiple people come in like that.

Ryan: just mud that was that was funny

Ryan: just mud

tommy cresta: Just cherry pie, as they say. And I think the thought of it really, really got to me.

Ryan: are fun of really yeah

tommy cresta: And I've never been someone that gets super queasy.

Ryan: i've never zero like

tommy cresta: Like, I mean, Terrifier doesn't bother me at all like that.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: That one, and her running into the post.

Ryan: that one and her re

tommy cresta: I don't know what it was.

Ryan: that was that was fine

tommy cresta: That was, that whole, when she put her face down, you went.

Ryan: that was when she face yeah

tommy cresta: Everyone in the theater

Ryan: Oh my god, that pissed me off so bad. I have to, I can't hear the gas going, even though everybody in the fucking theater can.

tommy cresta: Dude,

Ryan: Let me put my nose over.

tommy cresta: that shit made me laugh. Her coming out with a big-ass fucking pistol.

Ryan: You can't smell that throughout the house. That was funny. Yeah.

tommy cresta: That's what I'm saying.

Ryan: That's what I'm saying.

tommy cresta: The first, before they get big, they really leaned into the campy side of it.

Ryan: That was really yeah and i second third

tommy cresta: And then I feel like the second and third act, they kind just went away from it.

Ryan: Yeah. Well, no, they just couldn't figure out if they wanted to be fun and campy or serious horror.

tommy cresta: Well, they just couldn't figure out if it was fun and campy or serious. They should have fully went camp.

Ryan: Yeah. I agree.

tommy cresta: I agree.

Ryan: They should have gone camp. Just pick a fucking side.

tommy cresta: They couldn't figure out what it was.

Ryan: Because that was the thing that pissed me off the most about this movie. This movie made me angry. It couldn't figure out what it wanted to be.

tommy cresta: out

Ryan: The tone was constantly shifting.

tommy cresta: skin

Ryan: And also the dialogue was horrible.

tommy cresta: It was not as well written as...

Ryan: It was not as well right

tommy cresta: um but

Ryan: But I think the dialogue could have worked if they went fully into camp.

tommy cresta: they It's because it's not fully camped.

Ryan: It's because it's not fully camped.

tommy cresta: The campy dialogue sounds bad.

Ryan: Yes.

tommy cresta: If Longlegs used the campy dialogue, it would be terrible.

Ryan: The camp dialogue is a fan. Yes. But I... The fact that it did is so long.

tommy cresta: But the fact that it didn't, Longlegs so well written. Oh, she's hamming it...

Ryan: I think the lady that, um the realtor lady who gets, it's in the trailer, the shotgun blast. the um

tommy cresta: the

Ryan: Her lines are so goofy and campy, but that actress is playing it up oh to a T and she nailed it.

tommy cresta: so but that oh it it's she's handming it She was great. I loved it.

Ryan: Yeah, she nailed it. Like those scenes actually made me chuckle a little bit because she just played it well. Like she just played it campy.

tommy cresta: Yeah, the scenes that were full-on campy were funny scenes.

Ryan: war Yes, I agree with that. So, but it just couldn't figure out what it wanted to be.

tommy cresta: so

tommy cresta: Like, the ridiculousness of the scenes were what was so good.

Ryan: the ridiculousness on the scene

tommy cresta: Like, when they...

Ryan: yeah when they

tommy cresta: Like, i don't know what you thought.

Ryan: like I don't know what you thought.

tommy cresta: I thought the scene when the mom was having them with the ice cream was funny.

Ryan: I thought the scene when the mom was having the ice cream was fun.

tommy cresta: Because I realized that they they were just...

Ryan: I realized they they were just it was not serious what she saying.

tommy cresta: It was not serious, what she was saying. yeah

Ryan: Yeah, but at the at the same time, it's just shot so seriously.

tommy cresta: Like, it just...

Ryan: Yeah, like but i love that they were also having, they layered the complete opposites.

tommy cresta: Yeah, but I love that they were also having, they layered just complete opposites. The ones in the vanilla ice cream.

Ryan: Yeah. It was also a really cool, but i wrote a couple cool Easter eggs I watched.

tommy cresta: and There also some really cool little, I wrote them down. There was a couple cool Easter eggs I watched.

Ryan: I was made sure I wrote it.

tommy cresta: I was making sure both times.

Ryan: I don't remember what it was.

tommy cresta: Where are they? Oh, they have the streaming thing in the background, the Adam Scott scene.

Ryan: Oh, they have to the streaming thing in the background that Adam Scott seemed.

tommy cresta: It says the movie that's showing.

Ryan: It said movie that show, you know how it had a bunch?

tommy cresta: You know how it had like a bunch? you know he's You know he's using the flamethrower?

Ryan: No, wait, when? Oh, yeah, yeah.

tommy cresta: So you know like how the old school movie lights out front showed you all the movies?

Ryan: you know how the old school movie lights out, how to show you all the movies?

tommy cresta: It just says the streaming.

Ryan: It just says a stream. Really? Yeah, that's what it says.

tommy cresta: Yeah, that's all it says. And then there's, oh, when they pull up to the second motel, it says no food after midnight, which I'm taking as like the Gremlins Easter.

Ryan: That was pretty funny. Oh, when they pull up to the second motel, it says no food after midnight. Oh, really? That's gremlins. Like there was a bunch of little things like that.

tommy cresta: Like there was a bunch of ah little things like that. And the calling the babysitter, babysitter Annie, I was like, this dish should that's what I wanted, like lean into that.

Ryan: And the calling of babysitter, babysitter animal, That was funny. i That's what I wanted to do. Lean into that.

tommy cresta: Yeah. Yeah.

Ryan: Although I will say, when she first says it, the mom, when she sort says it first says it, like walking out of the door, she's like, alright, babysitter Annie, go do that. and I was like, why do you have to say babysit? like Just call her Annie.

tommy cresta: call but

Ryan: But then when the kids call her that, I'm like, alright, that makes sense.

tommy cresta: um

Ryan: The kids.

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: Because I've had that. Babysitter Kate or something like that.

tommy cresta: I never did that. i feel like

Ryan: ah feel like I did that. I don't remember. Oh.

tommy cresta: Oh, um, I Rankies made me laugh the first time he said that whole little line, like that whole, that made me look laugh.

Ryan: oh ran these. Made me laugh. first oh the iranskis that was that being like yeah but don like i he kill like yeah down

tommy cresta: But then like, I hated it again when it went serious and he went down to the well, like, like, like those kinds things.

Ryan: yeah it was it was like the little like throwaway lines that made me chuckle it was never like a big joke that they yeah had to plan out when he um in the trailer they showed the drug jump in when he when he's taking away from the camera's like

tommy cresta: It was never it was never like, Yeah, the little, like, just kept, when he, that um in the trailer, they show the girl jump into the pool with electricity.

tommy cresta: when he When he's faced away from the camera, he's like, what is that?

Ryan: sound like yeah

tommy cresta: like and like Like, those little things are what I feel like made it so good.

Ryan: like those little things are like it's like Which tends to be what makes me laugh in like even like comedies and stuff like straight up comedies.

tommy cresta: Yeah. Throwaway lines are good.

Ryan: But I just yeah just the throwers.

tommy cresta: Like, the swinger line in this was funny.

Ryan: It's kind of funny yeah.

tommy cresta: And it's just, it's just because I think Osgood Perkins looks so fucking goofy.

Ryan: it's just It's just like the Ozzie person looks so fucking goofy. Yeah he does look funny.

tommy cresta: But I didn't love the pre-scene.

Ryan: Like I didn't love the pre-scene. No that was I didn't think that was funny.

tommy cresta: No. I felt very forced. Yeah, I thought that was a pain fail

Ryan: I thought that was funny in the trailer but then in the movie it's very forced.

tommy cresta: But then the was Yeah, because it's it's too long that they go with it.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. google it just keeps going I didn't understand he stood up and goes okay well that was a fine dude there was a lot of scenes where it seemed like those scenes kind of bothered me but I think I thought Elijah was funny but I wouldn't he didn't get a lot of him for a short dude he was in one scene dude seeing his nipples going through the biker I had didn't even notice that dude he's wearing like biker top and him doing big ass one that was funny like those little things yeah

tommy cresta: I didn't understand why he stood up and goes, okay, mom, that was a funny joke. Because there was a lot of scenes like that, like where it seemed like those things kind of bothered me. But I think i I thought Elijah Woh was funny. But I wouldn't even get a lot of them. It was very short.

tommy cresta: Dude, seeing his nipples poking through the biker... Like, that whole get-up. Dude, he's wearing, like, a biker top. And him drinking the big-ass water. Like, those little things made me laugh. no

Ryan: No, him pulling out the big-ass jug of water made me laugh.

tommy cresta: Dude, that shit made me laugh.

Ryan: yeah

Ryan: like those little be dish by get who use Yeah.

tommy cresta: but Like, those little things were so good. I thought the kid that played his son was good. didn't mind him.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: Petey. Dude, that was...

Ryan: Also, him just going like, all right, now we arm wrestle for this. I'm like, you arm wrestle for the kid? That made me laugh.

tommy cresta: got

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: That's what i'm saying.

Ryan: i'm saying i look day like

tommy cresta: i what Daniel Radcliffe has been like running down like these...

Ryan: right now

tommy cresta: like Because he's never going to able play like a bigger franchise, I feel like. like Being Harry Potter, you're a Harry Potter friend.

Ryan: being hard yeah

tommy cresta: Just like he's going to be Frodo to everyone.

Ryan: for

tommy cresta: who

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: But I love that.

Ryan: But I love that I wanted him to just keep playing weird roles.

tommy cresta: I want them to just fully keep playing the weird roles. like He was in that show with the dude who he looks like the human guy.

Ryan: He was in that show. The dog, yeah. I would love see him play more than once. Oh, did I miss the manager?

tommy cresta: Those kind of things. Keep doing that.

Ryan: The vape?

tommy cresta: Because I thought he was really funny in this.

Ryan: Yeah, you were in the bathroom. Really?

tommy cresta: I would love to see him play like another role like that.

Ryan: Because I was

Ryan: and

tommy cresta: But like a full...

Ryan: like

tommy cresta: Play it more. like More than one scene.

Ryan: more

tommy cresta: um

tommy cresta: Oh, did I miss the manager scene with the...

Ryan: ah not mis them the vape yeah yeah you but you were in a bath

tommy cresta: Yeah, that that freaked me out, too.

Ryan: yeah really

tommy cresta: Because i was Connor was doing it right then, and I thought of it like happening somehow.

Ryan: because i time doing mean somehow Yeah.

tommy cresta: and it like

Ryan: Yeah, it was poking out.

tommy cresta: Just the thought of that, and the way like you could see it burning. Yeah.

Ryan: Although I will say that they ruined that scene by him like trying to get the vape juice he's like, that sucks. And then it goes down and so he's like, that sucks and falls off.

tommy cresta: Then down and it's like, that's the top. Yeah, it should just happened.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: but i Did you see if they never got rid the burn things in the ceiling?

Ryan: i can like they never heard the branding yeah yeah

tommy cresta: Yeah. Did you give a little, ugh, when the hooks got caught on her face?

Ryan: and

Ryan: I think I did.

tommy cresta: I thought I heard you.

Ryan: gotcha. Yeah.

tommy cresta: I was like, it was more watching her take them out freaking me out.

Ryan: Yeah. it was more really

tommy cresta: Those little things, like seeing the skin pool.

Ryan: little

Ryan: ah gotcha wow billbo

tommy cresta: like I can watch Broken Bones all that.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: Little weird things.

Ryan: little

tommy cresta: Eyes don't bother me.

Ryan: eisen

tommy cresta: don't know what it was.

Ryan: ah

tommy cresta: The sleeping bag scene?

Ryan: vaccine

tommy cresta: Which made me laugh, actually. The whole idea of that's how someone gets stampeded by wild horses.

Ryan: that's awesome beat by wild I did love the setup where he's like, it wasn't a normal hunting accident. He stampeded.

tommy cresta: was

Ryan: I was waiting for it be like, a deer punched him in the face. He got stampeded by wild horses in Maine. Like, what?

tommy cresta: While he was sleeping.

Ryan: sleeping.

tommy cresta: He wasn't even awake.

Ryan: He's sleeping. He's sleeping.

tommy cresta: But like little things like that.

Ryan: Well, you know what he's saying?

tommy cresta: Which also, if you go watch the Craven movie ever, anyone, a stampede happens and nothing happens.

Ryan: He's also, if you don't watch the movie not a good one. The what movie?

tommy cresta: The Craven.

Ryan: The Kraven.

tommy cresta: Oh, fuck!

Ryan: Oh, I said superhero.

tommy cresta: I said superheroes.

Ryan: Oh, did actually hear him?

tommy cresta: Oh, did you actually not hear me?

Ryan: No, I didn't.

tommy cresta: thought you were being sarcastic.

Ryan: i actually didn't hear him. no, no.

tommy cresta: um I said the Craven movie.

Ryan: It's the McRaven movie. I still haven't seen it. I don't care.

tommy cresta: don Don't watch it.

Ryan: I don't want to. Yeah.

tommy cresta: i was I saw clips of it.

Ryan: Yeah. I heard it was actually good.

tommy cresta: I was like, wow, I was really wrong on that.

Ryan: Okay.

tommy cresta: I don't know what it Sometimes I feel like I was doing so well for so long with like um like movie high.

Ryan: and so movie

tommy cresta: don't know.

Ryan: you delight

tommy cresta: what I feel like the last like 20 movies I've seen, I've been coming out and be like, oh, I really like that.

Ryan: out

tommy cresta: And I go back and I'm like, this was fucking awful.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: Hard Eyes. I saw it twice.

Ryan: point

tommy cresta: It actually really fucking enjoyable movie.

Ryan: really

tommy cresta: heard of that.

Ryan: i heard it was actually good

tommy cresta: Yeah, it was just Scream pretty much.

Ryan: okay

tommy cresta: But the two leads, i mean, the one guy's in Scream.

Ryan: two leads. mean, the one guy's on the screen.

tommy cresta: And then the girl from Kicking It's the love interest, the other character.

Ryan: And then, uh, we grew up in Kicking, and it's the love interest. Okay.

tommy cresta: and they They were great.

Ryan: Yeah. They were great. That was, go watch them, go watch the monkey.

tommy cresta: that was Go watch that before you watch The Monkey.

Ryan: Yeah. That was another surprise. Like, everybody said that was good. That trailer looked awful.

tommy cresta: I mean, look, terrible.

Ryan: I mean, it looked terrible. Terrible. But, talking about good kills, had some.

tommy cresta: Talk about good kills. That had some vile, vile death.

Ryan: Did it? Vile. Vile.

tommy cresta: um But yeah, The Monkey.

Ryan: Um, but yeah, the monkey.

tommy cresta: The Monkey. and think of other things i'll talk but yeah I think the best part of this movie will be when the Kill Count videos come out.

Ryan: I think other things don't cut out. But yeah, I think the best part of this movie will be when the show count is. yeah that's all you

tommy cresta: and it's just That's all you get to see. It's just the crazy deaths.

Ryan: James Aiden Janisse is going to have a great great time with this one.

tommy cresta: yeah I don't know still don't know who he is.

Ryan: i think I'm excited. He doesn't go on the internet. He's not he's not familiar. He's very old. I'm talking about you. Honestly, my favorite part of this

tommy cresta: realize what you were saying.

Ryan: honestly my favorite part of this May have been just like watching the monkey, the design of the monkey and just the eyes being pitch black.

tommy cresta: watching it was actually like when the camera would stop i was like that first person shot it like focused on the drumstick it was like from it was like close-up it was when yeah like it was just so cool it was because it was it's when he has all the banana on his head and something and it's

Ryan: It was actually like when the camera would just stop and sit on the monkey. I was kind of creeped out. Which one? It like goes on the drumstick. It was like from now.

Ryan: It was like a close up. Oh, yeah. I think I know what you're talking about. Yeah. I don't really mind it. It's when he has all the denials and stuff. And it's like showing and the brother.

tommy cresta: It's like showing the mom, the brother, and then cuts it.

Ryan: they cut just like

tommy cresta: It's just like from behind the hand.

Ryan: from behind the hand

tommy cresta: You can see him behind.

Ryan: him behind

tommy cresta: I don't know.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: Something about looked really cool.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: And then I looked up.

Ryan: Yeah. No, I agree.

tommy cresta: That's like a – the way they did was like the Lord of the Rings ring.

Ryan: It have been more of a Uh, I think I know what you're talking about.

tommy cresta: It's a big-ass monkey. Yeah. yeah i like to

Ryan: i

tommy cresta: i like the weirdness.

Ryan: i you

tommy cresta: I wish they just went more into that side of it.

Ryan: but yeah the weirdness

tommy cresta: The full-on horror stuff I didn't like. Yeah.

Ryan: yeah i agree it should have been more of a comedy

tommy cresta: like Can't – like what's that new – the new Finn Wolfhard one that's coming out?

Ryan: like the far

tommy cresta: That he wrote and is directing.

Ryan: and said summer can

tommy cresta: Did you see that? The summer camp movie he's doing? The horror movie?

Ryan: i think i know which talking

tommy cresta: it look it

Ryan: it

tommy cresta: It's super like 80s campy.

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: But it looks really good.

Ryan: but looks really good there

tommy cresta: Because they are i mean they are leaning into it.

Ryan: near mood yeah

tommy cresta: ah Freddie Hetchinger is the lead in this.

Ryan: fredie

tommy cresta: so finulo and But again.

Ryan: but again

tommy cresta: If you lean into it.

Ryan: if you lean into it file

tommy cresta: Dialogue can be worse.

Ryan: if you can play

tommy cresta: like You can play into that.

Ryan: yeah because the dialogue can be a part of the joke

tommy cresta: It's when you're trying to be. yeah

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: It's when you're trying to be serious.

Ryan: its time

tommy cresta: And you've got campy writing.

Ryan: the worst fucking line in this whole movie i said it in the car so

tommy cresta: The worst fucking time. It's the pasta restaurant one. yeah

Ryan: Yeah, the when the cop, again, after the the shotgun death with the realtor, the cop's down there and she's like, so you were up in the room with her.

tommy cresta: Yeah, if you've been up there yet. I will say that death was funny as hell.

Ryan: What was that like?

tommy cresta: I really thought it was just going to be her face.

Ryan: And then five seconds later, she's like, you should go up there and see it. It's crazy. like

tommy cresta: No.

Ryan: He's covered in her.

tommy cresta: and hurry and we other

Ryan: like What are you talking about? You should go up and see it.

tommy cresta: you

Ryan: You're looking at it.

tommy cresta: that i will say that death was funny as hell

Ryan: I will say that death was 20 years old. That was good. I really thought was your face.

tommy cresta: i really thought it was just gonna be her face

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: now

Ryan: No.

tommy cresta: And the fact that he, like, gags for second.

Ryan: And the fact that he was like, oh, it was gagging.

tommy cresta: I was like oh he's gagging. and he just pulls out a finger.

Ryan: And he just pulls out

tommy cresta: Is everything okay out there?

Ryan: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: Yeah, I like Theo James.

Ryan: i i like

tommy cresta: I like that scene. But you're right.

Ryan: but youre like

tommy cresta: She fully played into the campy.

Ryan: all yeah and it was like you

tommy cresta: Right? I loved it.

Ryan: and yeah

tommy cresta: But it is crazy, like, how different, like, i what did I give this now?

Ryan: but like how like

tommy cresta: I think said 60. I think I'm giving it on the same score. I think I'm going to say 62 for this.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: I feel like it's...

Ryan: i feel

tommy cresta: The campy stuff that I enjoyed made me like it enough that I'm not going to give it a failing score.

Ryan: The camp is something that I enjoyed being like it enough that not going to give it a failing score.

tommy cresta: and I feel like when we do it, like I feel like 60 is the pass.

Ryan: I feel like when you do it, it's like 60. Yeah, yeah.

tommy cresta: So I feel like I liked it enough to not fail it.

Ryan: So I feel like I liked it enough to not fail it.

tommy cresta: So I'm going to give it.

Ryan: So I'm going to give it I'm actually going to do it a little bit like Captain America.

tommy cresta: yeah um I'm actually going to give it lower score than Captain America now. I take back what I said. I'm going to give it 61.

Ryan: changed that at least. You see?

tommy cresta: I'm going to give it a 62-61 because I was expecting the monkey more.

Ryan: You see? It was 62-61. Captain America. Captain America. One more point because wasn't expecting Captain America to be like it.

tommy cresta: So I'll give it one more point because I wasn't expecting Captain America to be very good. And it came out beat my expectations.

Ryan: it came out and beat my expectations. While this, I mean, this was up there with like 28 years later.

tommy cresta: I mean, this was up there with like 28 years later for me. yeah

Ryan: Yeah, you were excited.

tommy cresta: I mean, I loved – I mean, long we both loved Long Legs.

Ryan: And I was too. mean, we both loved Longwood.

tommy cresta: And Long Legs made a top ten list, right?

Ryan: And Longwood made a tough time later. I think so.

tommy cresta: I think it made yours.

Ryan: i don't even remember now.

tommy cresta: I know it was all mine.

Ryan: it was online.

tommy cresta: So, I mean, I knew I loved it.

Ryan: So I mean, I love it.

tommy cresta: And i love horror, if i everyone can't tell.

Ryan: And I love horror.

tommy cresta: So, I mean, this was very – I think that's why i'm going to give it such a low score.

Ryan: So I mean, this was very, I think it's fun when we get it. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Just because it it was so frustrating to watch it.

Ryan: Just because it was so frustrating to watch it.

tommy cresta: I mean, it late, you watch it unravel.

Ryan: I mean, it let you watch it on gravel. Yeah.

tommy cresta: And I loved it after that.

Ryan: And i love that, though.

tommy cresta: I don't – late came out the most movie high.

Ryan: don't, I believe you know the most movie have a gang couples with me.

tommy cresta: Again, Puff was with me.

Ryan: me anything Oh, anything fun.

tommy cresta: Puff can make anything enjoyable. He's just very funny person.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: I think he made it more enjoyable.

Ryan: Were you guys in an empty theater?

tommy cresta: but No.

Ryan: No.

tommy cresta: Dude, our theater was fucking packed.

Ryan: Dude, our theater was hot.

tommy cresta: But people were laughing. Like, like people were enjoying themselves. I think maybe the atmosphere made me, like –

Ryan: Really? Yeah. Yeah. I i mean, that's, that can totally be a part of it.

tommy cresta: i mean and That happens.

Ryan: Absolutely.

tommy cresta: Yeah, like, you had Dune 2, right, where the guy who sitting next to and shut up.

Ryan: Because we had, he was like smoking the entire time. ahji wouldn all you was like smoking the entire time

tommy cresta: Yeah, it's like, which, I feel like that, I know you went back and saw it again, but I feel like if you had just seen it that way, that would have been, yeah, like, I feel like that is a thing.

Ryan: I you went back to school again, but... Just cracking gears. Yeah. Yeah, it sucked.

tommy cresta: But, yeah.

Ryan: yeah.

tommy cresta: um

Ryan: Because we had... Was our theater empty or was there... I think there were like two people behind us. There was one person.

tommy cresta: There was one person.

Ryan: One person?

tommy cresta: I don't like that.

Ryan: don't like that.

tommy cresta: It freaks me out.

Ryan: Preach me lot. Yeah.

tommy cresta: I like to go, yeah, that's that, I would have been out of that theater, dude.

Ryan: Well, it's like when I saw Lonely, there was just a guy sitting in the corner who just disappeared halfway through the movie.

tommy cresta: Connor doesn't watch it.

Ryan: He'll be fine.

tommy cresta: He's kind of nervous.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: I think because Nate and Puff really did not like how demonic it was.

Ryan: i think really it yeah

tommy cresta: Like my mom, I mean, my mom bent metal.

Ryan: Like my mom, mean, my mom's a big head.

tommy cresta: She bent that fucking popcorn bucket.

Ryan: Your mom got super strength. Your mom turned into Red Hulk, dude.

tommy cresta: She really did turn it right off.

Ryan: She's been taking them pills, yeah.

tommy cresta: She was so scared.

Ryan: But yeah, that's where I'm going to go.

tommy cresta: um But yeah, I feel like that's that's where I'm going to go. I'm going to give it. um Yeah, I'm going to give it that just because it was more disappointing.

Ryan: Yeah, I'm going to get that just because it was more disappointing. It might have been a better production, but the script was really neat.

tommy cresta: It might have been a better production just like the look of his movies. but the script was really weak and it just literally gets worse.

Ryan: And it just literally went worse.

tommy cresta: What about you? What'd you, Oh, first of all, what'd you give, what'd you give

Ryan: What's Connor doing tonight? I think Captain America. What did you give Captain America? 62. I liked it more. I'm going to give it like a 72.

tommy cresta: Captain America?

Ryan: I don't think it was bad at all. I think it was fine. I don't think it's super memorable, but it wasn't that bad.

tommy cresta: 62. Yeah.

Ryan: Yeah, I think it's just when I try and explore things, I try and compare it to other things.

tommy cresta: I think it's because ah when I, when I try and like score things, I try and compare it to other things. with that Like, like,

Ryan: I try and go all Supergirls.

tommy cresta: I try and go off superhero movies I've done. feel like 61 is better than Ant-Man.

Ryan: I think 61. I had an Ant-Man. I had them for work, but I wouldn't play as high as

tommy cresta: Better than Thor. But I wouldn't put it as high as Deadpool Wolverine, which I didn't rank very high.

Ryan: Like if i if I'm scrolling on TV and I see it, I might sit and watch like 20 minutes of it.

tommy cresta: fred like If it's the beginning the movie, i definitely I would probably turn it on.

Ryan: Maybe. That's fair. going to give this a 27.

tommy cresta: I probably wouldn't turn on the second half.

Ryan: No, I'm joking. 52. maybe

tommy cresta: Either of these movies.

Ryan: you

tommy cresta: Because I think I would actually want to see the ant die again.

Ryan: like i would actually and

tommy cresta: Because that was pretty cool to me.

Ryan: didn

tommy cresta: I like the beginning of Deaths.

Ryan: can fair

tommy cresta: make it

Ryan: i'm going to give this a twenty seven

tommy cresta: Holy.

Ryan: now i'm joking

tommy cresta: oh my God.

Ryan: um

tommy cresta: I was like, geez.

Ryan: cheese analogy

tommy cresta: I was like, that's getting close to, it's not Halloween and Saturday.

Ryan: my only fifty two

tommy cresta: That's, I don't we'll ever get to that where we're both like, that was the, I mean, I wanted to walk out of the theater.

Ryan: don't think I ever looked at that. No. That was horrible. That was good. I mean, I wanted to walk of the theater. Yeah, it was bad. i had to stop you from walking out of the theater.

tommy cresta: Yeah, you did have stop because I drove everyone and I, and I just told everyone about my eating disorders.

Ryan: Yeah, because drove everywhere. Uh-huh. And I just went and got my eating disorder.

tommy cresta: That was already a rough day, rough night for Tom.

Ryan: That was already rough night. It was a rough night. Yeah, it was a weird one.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: ah you we was talking all wonder Oh, were talking about?

tommy cresta: Oh, you know movie's fucking ass? Valiant 1, the Chase Stokes war movie that he did.

Ryan: It's Valley 1, the Jason Oaks. Valley 1. I thought people said that was better than they expected. Okay, because better than what thought.

tommy cresta: Okay, it was better than what I thought because I thought it was late going to be the worst movie of the year.

Ryan: Okay. That's the one who's leaving for what he did. Yeah.

tommy cresta: But if... I thought that was a spider.

Ryan: thought that was just fire. No. What the fuck kind of bug is that?

tommy cresta: It's a fly.

Ryan: Oh, they're back. Remember when we came in here and just all the windowsills were covered?

tommy cresta: I'll just die. over should

Ryan: No, he's still kicking. Are you not?

tommy cresta: you got

Ryan: You're done talking. Why would you do that? Don't throw it at it. Maybe it is dead. don't know. He fucked up. Finish your thing.

tommy cresta: It did it late came down spinning like a plane.

Ryan: But yeah, military

tommy cresta: um But yeah, if you're going to be military movie, you have to do the military things right. And it did not. They had some really good scene.

Ryan: It's a really good scene.

tommy cresta: But the I mean, there was scenes where they're late lined up but from like me to you and they are hitting that wall.

Ryan: but I mean, there were scenes where they're a lady lined up from like me to you, and they are hitting that wall. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Like, I don't know where you're...

Ryan: Like, I don't know where to hit their own, like, stuff like that.

tommy cresta: And they're all full... like full ah Like, stuff like that. it's Little things.

Ryan: Little things.

tommy cresta: But Stephanie Hsu was actually very good in it.

Ryan: But a Stephanie Schu was actually very good.

tommy cresta: She plays, like, a medic.

Ryan: She plays like a medic. I really like it.

tommy cresta: I really liked her. Jay Stokes wasn't...

Ryan: He's supposed to not a kid in that movie.

tommy cresta: but Performance was not the issue in that movie. Writing and quality are why that movie struggled.

Ryan: Writing and quality are why they're struggling.

tommy cresta: But, yeah, 47, I gave that.

Ryan: But yeah, 47, you're bad. Gotcha.

tommy cresta: That's my lowest movie of the year.

Ryan: I actually didn't realize they're not used.

tommy cresta: I also didn't realize Den of Thieves. I kind of fucked up on my one review.

Ryan: kind of fucked up on my own review.

tommy cresta: I gave Den of Thieves.

Ryan: that

tommy cresta: I said it was of the surprises of the year.

Ryan: 82 audience.

tommy cresta: What the fuck?

Ryan: 31 critics, but 82 audience.

tommy cresta: Yeah, I have a higher than Chris.

Ryan: Also, were we saying Den of Thieves?

tommy cresta: I did not realize Dead of Thieves is a 2025 release.

Ryan: Oh,

tommy cresta: I put it on my 2024 biggest surprise list.

Ryan: you?

tommy cresta: Whoops.

Ryan: Oh, well.

tommy cresta: Dead of Thieves 2.

Ryan: and

tommy cresta: Fucking enjoyable time.

Ryan: fucking into yeah Oh, he's back. There goes.

tommy cresta: Oh, you live again?

Ryan: He's back to the ceiling. I think he thinks the light bulb is the sun.

tommy cresta: and Okay.

Ryan: You're in for a rude awakening.

tommy cresta: ah Now, I feel like I talked for a while.

Ryan: Let me hear you.

tommy cresta: like Let me hear your here's some of earth more of your thoughts.

Ryan: You kind of covered everything.

tommy cresta: I feel like I just went on like a tangent.

Ryan: It was just – it should have picked a side, picked what it wanted to be.

tommy cresta: Oh.

tommy cresta: I think

Ryan: i think Theo – whatever. Theo James.

tommy cresta: Theo James.

Ryan: Theo James was okay.

tommy cresta: It's okay. But I feel like the character wasn't strong.

Ryan: But I feel like he was just, like, the character just wasn't strong. Well, both characters just weren't very strong.

tommy cresta: Both characters weren't very strong. I feel like the acting was more so directed.

Ryan: feel like the acting was fine. I feel like it was more so the directing.

tommy cresta: You know what mean? Because he's very consistent with his acting.

Ryan: You know what i mean? Because he was very consistent in his acting. I just feel like the character that he was given was just, it wasn't great.

tommy cresta: I just feel like everything wasn't good. Wasn't good for him. wasn't great.

Ryan: But, yeah.

tommy cresta: I think it's what you're saying. might have been the direction, the writing.

Ryan: Yeah. Or maybe just the miscast, but, and you know, I don't think it was totally his fault.

tommy cresta: um think

tommy cresta: Yeah, because I genuinely like him in most roles.

Ryan: Yeah. I mean, I genuinely like him. I hate the guy who's not very good.

tommy cresta: I hate the Divergent movies. They're just not very good. I think he's like the only reason that those movies got more than the first one.

Ryan: I think he's like the only reason that Vision's got him in the first one.

tommy cresta: um

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah, I i hope Oscar Perkins gets back on the right foot in this next movie.

Ryan: Yeah, I hope that's the difference. I hope he gets back in the life of this next movie, but again, maybe him going weirder and campier is better.

tommy cresta: But again, maybe him going weirder and campier is better.

Ryan: Maybe he needs to be fully into that.

tommy cresta: Like maybe he needs to lean fully into that.

Ryan: Maybe. feel like a lot of the movies, though, when we like talk about Parker, obviously, they don't lean into one or the other much.

tommy cresta: I feel like a lot of those movies, though, when we like talk about like horror comedies, if they don't lean into one or the other enough, it messes up the whole movie.

Ryan: It messed the whole movie. So is Keeper, is that his next one?

tommy cresta: I don't know. I don't know.

Ryan: don't know. Because it's just saying, it says 2025 too.

tommy cresta: I don't remember.

Ryan: but It's just saying horror with, written by Nick Leppard, directed by Osgood Perkins, starring Tatiana Maslany and Rousseau of Sutherland. don't know.

tommy cresta: no

Ryan: You tell me. You

tommy cresta: a um um You know what movie you have to watch?

Ryan: know what movie have to watch? It's a neon movie.

tommy cresta: The Blackening.

Ryan: The Blackening. The Blackening?

tommy cresta: Remember it came out?

Ryan: Oh, yeah. You said that was really good.

tommy cresta: Fucking great film.

Ryan: great no I don't think so.

tommy cresta: I watched like half of it the other day.

Ryan: I think we covered everything.

tommy cresta: It was on TV.

Ryan: It was okay.

tommy cresta: That movie is...

Ryan: It was kind of cool seeing everything kind of collapse.

tommy cresta: sta the if I'm actually going to wait until we do our next part. and i We're actually going to talk more about it.

Ryan: don't think that was over the top.

tommy cresta: um but yeah Is there anything else you want to add to the monkey?

Ryan: I liked when they're driving through. i don't don't think so i think we covered everything just

tommy cresta: ah What did you think about the final like two minutes?

Ryan: dis

Ryan: it was okay it was kind of cool seeing everything kind of collapse and like i like

tommy cresta: you I like that too. Okay.

Ryan: yeah

tommy cresta: I didn't like how it got there.

Ryan: um don't think that was over the top

tommy cresta: I liked when they're driving through.

Ryan: i like moving to driving Oh, yeah.

tommy cresta: yeah. I love when they're just dead.

Ryan: I love when they when they see death. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah.

Ryan: And he just – he kind of like nods at him and he's just like, no, he just walks off.

tommy cresta: he just kind of like got there. Like, no.

Ryan: yes that was good.

tommy cresta: He's like, fuck I'm not going lie.

Ryan: I'm not going to lie to the good of them.

tommy cresta: The cheerleader thing got my ass the first time. Because I thought they were going to get hit.

Ryan: iphon I thought they were going to get hit.

tommy cresta: Like, Theo James.

Ryan: Yeah.

tommy cresta: Yeah. I thought they were going to get hit.

Ryan: thought they were going to get hit.

tommy cresta: And don't.

Ryan: Now, first off, the cheerleaders showing up everywhere.

tommy cresta: First off, the cheerleaders showing up everywhere was such like a fucking weird thing to do.

Ryan: Cheering. It's such like a fucking weird thing. Yeah. They could have been –

tommy cresta: And it could have been so much better.

Ryan: so I mean, did you see me fucking groan when they first got there?

tommy cresta: No.

Ryan: when the When the bus started pulling aside, i was like, you gotta to be fucking kidding me with these cheerleaders. And then it happens.

tommy cresta: and

Ryan: I was like, all right, fair enough.

tommy cresta: Like, it was the only way that's to wake it in.

Ryan: It was fun. Yeah.

tommy cresta: Now, what happens with the driver there?

Ryan: Now, to the driver? I'd probably just walk.

tommy cresta: What do you do?

Ryan: You'd just walk home.

tommy cresta: You're like, fuck.

Ryan: Fuck, sorry.

tommy cresta: The the baby thing?

Ryan: the baby

tommy cresta: I know it's not.

Ryan: and know

tommy cresta: Dude, that shit made me...

Ryan: You talk so much shit on me for like, seeing babies die.

tommy cresta: that shit me

Ryan: And then...

tommy cresta: Hearing like the super OG horror scream, that they just ADR'd over it, was so funny to me.

Ryan: super really are Yeah. She's fucked. She ain't solving that shit. Uh-uh.

tommy cresta: But yeah, I agree with you.

Ryan: Yeah, he killed it, dude.

tommy cresta: I thought the scene with Death was really cool. I thought it was like a cool way to...

Ryan: yeah closing

tommy cresta: like Now, is this in the same world as Longlegs?

Ryan: this in the same world as

tommy cresta: Does Minkum and Ro have to go here now and figure this...

Ryan: migo monro if you go the she's fucked

tommy cresta: Jesus.

Ryan: she ain't solving as shit ah

tommy cresta: But yeah, it was... I also, the visuals in this are not as good as the visual in Long Legs because a different cinematographer.

Ryan: house the visuals in this are nonspe no

tommy cresta: Cinematographer Long Legs fucking snapped.

Ryan: he killed it du

tommy cresta: I gotta watch that movie again. That was was so fucking good. But, yeah.

Ryan: Oh, yeah.

tommy cresta: um I have nothing else to say.

Ryan: Yeah, I know you're talking about.

tommy cresta: I think if you like gore, go check it out.

Ryan: I agree. Sorry, I yawned. It's late. 810. What's Connor doing tonight?

tommy cresta: if you like cool kills, this movie definitely has something unique.

Ryan: Let's watch Long Legs.

tommy cresta: Like, the first kill of the movie is very unique.

Ryan: the first note you

tommy cresta: I did not expect what happened. Like, I thought it was just gonna go through.

Ryan: that

tommy cresta: i didn't think it was going back.

Ryan: oh yeah

tommy cresta: yeah

Ryan: yeah i know talking about

tommy cresta: Yeah, I thought that would been that was cool.

Ryan: agree sorry youned it's late

tommy cresta: Dude, late.

Ryan: eight ten

tommy cresta: It's late for us.

Ryan: what's connor doing the tonight

tommy cresta: don't

Ryan: wash long legs We shouldn't watch Long Legs. Force him to watch it. Force Nate and Puff to watch it again.

Ryan: yeah if you like sure I recommended it before, the night.

tommy cresta: But yeah, if you like cool kills, I think you should go watch the monkey. But before that, Before we get going, we have the recommendation the week.

Ryan: It's the nice guys.

tommy cresta: um

Ryan: um'm like ninety percent sure i've recommended it before but i just watched it again the other night but nice guys

tommy cresta: Yeah, you love this one.

Ryan: you get love this upon

tommy cresta: One of your favorite movies.

Ryan: A real comedy. is our

tommy cresta: Oh, I showed it Sam.

Ryan: A real comedy.

tommy cresta: ah

Ryan: What do you think?

tommy cresta: Fucking loved it.

Ryan: Yeah, who doesn't love it? that some of you punches so that i forgot He's like, oh, that's a lot of blood.

tommy cresta: Dude, that scene when he punches through the... I forgot how... That's a lot.

Ryan: Yeah, it's great.

tommy cresta: Or him falling down the hill.

Ryan: That movie is, they need to make a sequel.

tommy cresta: That... dude that movie is... They need to make a sequel. I know that they both want to do it.

Ryan: I know that they both want to do it.

tommy cresta: They need to... They... Shane Black just make it happen.

Ryan: Shane Black wants to do it too, I think.

tommy cresta: Yeah. I don't know how you can't make get it made.

Ryan: don know thank you know Well, because the first one made no money.

tommy cresta: You know how... I feel like it has such...

Ryan: I know, but think it's such a cool thing.

tommy cresta: I know, feel like has such a cult thing to it now.

Ryan: It does, yeah.

tommy cresta: It does. Yeah. I feel like...

Ryan: But studios don't care about that, which is unfortunate.

tommy cresta: There's... I feel like there's... There's gotta be other movies out there that...

Ryan: They tend to not, but there are every once in a while.

tommy cresta: Yeah. There are.

Ryan: We'll be like, oh, this whole movie.

tommy cresta: Maybe 824 would be like, we'll make it. Come... Come hang out with us.

Ryan: Come on, boys.

tommy cresta: But...
