Michele Martin: Hello and welcome back to the authenticity revolution.
Michele Martin: So there's a moment in growth where things get quieter and not because you're wrong, but because not everyone is meant to come with you. This is the part that no one warned you about when the people who fit your past version don't fit your present one.
Michele Martin: When your expansion creates distance. when your truth asks for space that others just can't give. It can feel lonely.
Michele Martin: It can feel confusing. It can trigger old guilt or even grief, but it's not failure. It's a clearing. Today, I want to speak directly to the part of you that's going through that.
Michele Martin: So when I got sober, I outgrew friendships that once felt like family. At first, It was really painful. You know, I felt guilty. i felt sad.
Michele Martin: um I wondered if something was wrong with me. But as I grew and my life moved in an entirely new direction, the truth was undeniable that we no longer had anything in common.
Michele Martin: So what looked like loss at first was actually alignment. And sometimes growth asks us to release what can't come with us to the next level.
Michele Martin: not because it's wrong or because it was wrong, but because it served its purpose. So when you grow, other people may pull back, question you.
Michele Martin: They might judge you. They might try and guilt trip you, or they'll just quietly fade out of your life. And it's not because you're too much, but because your evolution reveals their stagnation.
Michele Martin: Your expansion can activate their fear. Your healing can mirror what they are avoiding. And that's not your responsibility to fix.
Michele Martin: So if you shrink yourself to keep others comfortable, you will eventually collapse under the weight of your own self abandonment. And when you shrinking, it drains your energy, erodes your identity,
Michele Martin: creates resentment, kills your creativity, and blocks your purpose. Because growth requires space and not every everyone can stay in that space with you.
Michele Martin: So releasing people doesn't mean that you don't love them. It means you're not willing to betray yourself to keep the old dynamic intact.
Michele Martin: You can honor the role that someone played in your earlier seasons without carrying them forward with you into your next one.
Michele Martin: So I have a question for you. Maybe you could take out your journal and maybe write this down and think about it later. Where in your life are you holding back your truth to keep someone else comfortable?
Michele Martin: And what would shift if you stopped?
Michele Martin: So if this episode supported you, pass it on to another woman navigating this season. And remember, your next level isn't meant for everyone, but it is meant for you.
