Michele Martin: Hello and welcome back to the Authenticity Revolution, where truth is the rebellion. This is a space for women in midlife and beyond who've outgrown the rules, the rules and the rhythms that once defined them, and are ready to live from what's true instead of what's expected.
Michele Martin: I'm Michelle Martin, a transformational coach and human design guide, and I don't teach you who to be. I help you to come back to yourself. Here, we talk about nervous system truth, identity reclamation, and what it actually means to stop performing your life and start inhabiting it.
Michele Martin: This isn't self-improvement. It's self-return. If you're here, something in you already knows. Let's listen to that.
Michele Martin: So there's a space in the transformation journey that no one talks about. The in-between. It's not the beginning. It's not the end.
Michele Martin: It's the void.
Michele Martin: It's the place where the old you is dissolving, but the new you hasn't landed yet. It's uncomfortable. It's raw.
Michele Martin: And it's sacred. Today's episode is for anyone navigating that space. This is a conversation about alignment, the in-between, and learning how to stay with yourself as something new takes shape.
Michele Martin: When I started my business, I lived in the void for a really long time. I was still an employee mentally, emotionally, energetically. I didn't know what being a business owner required.
Michele Martin: I had no idea who I needed to become. And I didn't know if I could make it work. It was messy. It was scary. It was disorienting.
Michele Martin: But it was also the space where I rewired everything. Identity, belief, and self-trust.
Michele Martin: And I realized that I wasn't lost. I was being reformed. This space shows up in career changes, relationships ending, children leaving home, spiritual awakenings, identity shifts, to anywhere that the old way no longer works.
Michele Martin: So the in-between feels like stillness, uncertainty, confusion, pressure,
Michele Martin: liminality, old patterns falling away, new ones not ready yet, and it's uncomfortable because you're shedding who you've been.
Michele Martin: So the void doesn't have one emotional signature. It often shows up like this. so your nervous system hates uncertainty.
Michele Martin: So in the void, it often screams. Figure it out. Hurry. Do something. Make a plan. Fix this.
Michele Martin: But the void requires spaciousness, not rushing. And if your body feels tired here, that's not a problem. It's information.
Michele Martin: So you're not stuck. You're being reshaped. You're not behind everything. You're in incubation. You're not lost. You're in transition.
Michele Martin: You're not broken. You're becoming. And if something in, if this stirred something that wants a voice, you're welcome to leave me a message through the link in the voice, in the show notes.
Michele Martin: I listen to everyone. So here's a reflection that you can ask yourself or journal about. What would it look like to stay with yourself here instead of rushing to become someone else?
Michele Martin: And let that answer soften you. And remember, you're not broken. You're waking up.
Michele Martin: So as you listen, I want to remind you of something. Nothing that I share here is meant to replace your inner authority. So take what resonates and leave what doesn't.
Michele Martin: Your body always knows. And if this episode stirred something in you, let it land. You don't need to rush to do anything with it.
Michele Martin: And if you're at a point in your life where you're done outsourcing your truth and ready for guided, grounded support, you will find ways to work with me in the show notes. Until next time, remember this, midlife isn't your unraveling, it's your return.
