Speaker: Hello, beautiful people.
Speaker: Welcome back to band practice.
Speaker: I'm Emma.
Speaker: And I'm Madison.
Speaker: And today we're going to be playing a fun little game.
Speaker: We're going to do this or that, which I've seen.
Speaker: I don't know if I've seen a podcast do it, but I see people do it on like Instagram and TikTok.
Speaker: Have you seen podcasts about this?
Speaker: I don't think so.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I feel like it's such a good concept, though.
Speaker: I love a little game.
Speaker: We haven't played like a game in a while.
Speaker: We did get to know you.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: So we're basically just going to name two things.
Speaker: We both came up with some or found some online and you just name two things and we have to choose one or the other.
Speaker: Pretty self-explanatory, but I like it.
Speaker: It's fun.
Speaker: It is fun.
Speaker: I played this at a bridal shower recently.
Speaker: It was really fun.
Speaker: We're like, you guess what the bride answers.
Speaker: Oh, that's like, oh, that would be fun to like try and guess what you would do.
Speaker: But that would just that's kind of like hard to do via podcast.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I was just listening to the What We Said episode.
Speaker: I was just listening to that too today.
Speaker: Literally today.
Speaker: I think it's maybe last week or something.
Speaker: But they were playing with their husbands and trying to do like, I forget even the rules of the game because they were so confused.
Speaker: Yeah, it's like the newlyweds game where normally you write something down and see if you wrote the same thing, but they didn't do that.
Speaker: Yeah, it's confusing when you have to do guess what the other person would do.
Speaker: So we're just answering for ourselves, keeping it plain and simple.
Speaker: Ooh, sneak peek of the drink if you're watching on YouTube.
Speaker: I got a marshmallow.
Speaker: Spoiler alert.
Speaker: Well, what have you been up to since we last spoke?
Speaker: Oh, wow.
Speaker: I know we do this every week, but I actually wasn't prepared for that.
Speaker: Gotcha.
Speaker: Surprise.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: You go first because I need a minute.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So my biggest life update that has really, I mean, my life has made a 180 in the past week.
Speaker: I'll have you know.
Speaker: Ben got me a Kindle for Valentine's Day and it has actually changed my life.
Speaker: I think in our last episode or two episodes ago, we were saying how
Speaker: we have not been, like our goal is to read every day and we are not doing anything of the sort.
Speaker: I was in like a big reading rut and then he got me a Kindle, which I've been wanting a Kindle for a really long time.
Speaker: So I kind of planted that seed, told him that I wanted it and he pulled through.
Speaker: But I've had it for five days now and I've already read two books.
Speaker: Insane.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: Never done that before.
Speaker: But it's just so fun.
Speaker: And I feel like it gives me the little dopamine boost, even though it's like, I know not like blue light or whatever.
Speaker: It still like feels like I'm like an iPad baby on my iPad and like just scrolling through the pages.
Speaker: Like it makes it more fun for whatever reason.
Speaker: Something's wrong with my brain where like I need it to simulate.
Speaker: social media or something.
Speaker: Just something about swiping through the pages.
Speaker: Sadly, it does it for me.
Speaker: I read a Colleen Hoover book and then I read just a random book that I had never heard of until I saw somebody post about it on TikTok.
Speaker: But
Speaker: Highly recommend the Kindle.
Speaker: I have like the Kindle Unlimited thing.
Speaker: He got me a couple months of that to try it out, which it's not like every book is free, but it's like millions of books on there are free.
Speaker: And I was just getting tired of spending money on books, to be quite frank.
Speaker: Like, it's just kind of annoying to me.
Speaker: So this has been a game changer for me.
Speaker: I love that.
Speaker: That's really fun.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I was like, I swear there's like something big this week.
Speaker: It was Valentine's Day.
Speaker: I like already forgot that.
Speaker: Literally.
Speaker: This past week.
Speaker: It's old news.
Speaker: But I'm excited.
Speaker: I saw a TikTok that I know I sent you of this girl.
Speaker: Um...
Speaker: like decorating her kindle she put like a cute little pop socket like stickers and stuff so i um got some i went on etsy actually so it's all like cute little stickers and little pop socket thing so i'm gonna decorate this week when it comes so i'm excited for that
Speaker: um and then my other life update was that we went to a comedy show which I love a comedy show like we haven't been since we moved to Denver but we went to a couple in Arizona I want to go to one with you because I love to giggle and like I get the giggles which I know is the whole point of a comedy show but like
Speaker: even if the jokes are bad I'm still giggling like just the whole experience is so funny to me and um we went to like this comedy club near our house and it was actually so good there was like three different acts one of them was a girl which slay um and they were all really funny and I was just like this is such a fun little date night like why don't we do this more often yeah I love to giggle I love that that's so fun
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: I also like to giggle.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I just want to giggle with you.
Speaker: Like imagine us getting the giggles in the crowd.
Speaker: Like, yeah, just looking at each other after every joke and giggling.
Speaker: Nothing could stop us.
Speaker: The only thing that I don't love about comedy shows, though, is when they start calling people out.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Because we were in the second row.
Speaker: It was like it was also a dinner place.
Speaker: So like you were sat at tables.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And everybody in the first row got called out by somebody or another.
Speaker: And we were right behind them in the second row.
Speaker: And I was like, please don't look at me.
Speaker: But there was this couple sitting in front of us.
Speaker: And the guy was bald.
Speaker: And literally every single comic that came out mentioned, like, oh, you have a bald head.
Speaker: That's so funny.
Speaker: I just couldn't.
Speaker: Like, that was so funny to me.
Speaker: But if that was me, I would.
Speaker: It might be my final straw.
Speaker: So luckily, didn't get called out.
Speaker: Luckily, she has hair.
Speaker: luckily i do have hair and i was not the victim that night but um that's all i got okay did you think of anything yeah i mean i guess for my valentine's day i had requested texas roadhouse for dinner so that was really fun and i got just the prettiest flowers i'm looking at them now
Speaker: I figured out my favorite flower.
Speaker: I feel like that's like a fun aspect of womanhood is like finally having a favorite flower.
Speaker: And it's like a baby pink rose.
Speaker: That would be my favorite.
Speaker: So that's a new fun fact about me.
Speaker: I did finish a book this week.
Speaker: I finished the Madison Beer book.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: That was really good.
Speaker: Really easy read.
Speaker: Very good.
Speaker: Love her.
Speaker: And, oh, I figured out, I just wanted to add this in here.
Speaker: I guess like reading every day might not be super realistic for me, but I figured out a way to like read more often.
Speaker: And that is every two weeks when I have my nail appointment, I have to have a new book with me.
Speaker: So I'll at least be reading a new book every two weeks, which isn't that bad.
Speaker: that's not hard at all but it'll like keep me in the routine and odds are i'll probably get through books faster than that but yeah a little habit stacking moment i love that it like keeps you on a schedule without being like super strict or structured yeah i like that i feel like it just works better for me that way so that's exciting and what else um
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I really don't have anything else.
Speaker: I'm trying to find a place to live.
Speaker: That's very hard.
Speaker: Very expensive.
Speaker: And time consuming.
Speaker: You've been going to tours all the time.
Speaker: I've been going to tours.
Speaker: The only one I really loved, I will not have any money.
Speaker: So...
Speaker: Yeah, like that's going to be interesting.
Speaker: But that's why I'm looking so like early, like ahead.
Speaker: I still have like two months until my lease is up.
Speaker: So I just want to start looking now that way I can like have my choosing, you know.
Speaker: But yeah, it's just like not panning out super well yet.
Speaker: So you got time.
Speaker: Nothing's worse than like scrambling at the end, though.
Speaker: Like if you wait.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I like that.
Speaker: Yeah, you'll have plenty of time and maybe even new stuff will open up.
Speaker: I feel like stuff doesn't open up until like the month before anyways.
Speaker: So you'll be good.
Speaker: There's lots of options.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: I just like I have like control issues where like I need to know exactly how my life is going to look like.
Speaker: The unknown is just like so stressful for me, but the right place will come along when it's time.
Speaker: Especially if you're looking at different areas and stuff, too.
Speaker: I feel like it changes a lot.
Speaker: Like, yeah, so much of your daily life, like where will be your go to coffee shop?
Speaker: It depends.
Speaker: What is my grocery store?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Literally.
Speaker: Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker: But yeah, it'll work out.
Speaker: I'm excited for you to find a place.
Speaker: Yeah, I'm excited for you to come visit.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: Can't wait.
Speaker: Well, what you drinking?
Speaker: I'm drinking.
Speaker: Ben was kind enough to get me a coffee this morning.
Speaker: He brought me a coffee from my favorite coffee shop.
Speaker: It's just the iced oat milk vanilla latte.
Speaker: Classic.
Speaker: Can't go wrong.
Speaker: What are you drinking?
Speaker: I also have a coffee.
Speaker: Haven't had coffee in a while.
Speaker: This is from a local coffee shop that does really fun flavors.
Speaker: This one I believe is white chocolate latte, and then they put mini marshmallows in it.
Speaker: So...
Speaker: So good.
Speaker: Is that the exact drink that I had when I was there?
Speaker: I think so.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Oh my God.
Speaker: The little mini.
Speaker: I love a drink just with a little pizzazz.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Like it's probably just a normal latte without.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It doesn't taste different.
Speaker: But every now and then I get a little marshmallow in my mouth and it's so good.
Speaker: Oh, I love that.
Speaker: That is a good segue to our first this or that question.
Speaker: That's true.
Speaker: which is coffee or tea.
Speaker: So that's how the game works.
Speaker: We'll have two options of things that are like kind of contrasting and we decide which one we like better.
Speaker: I'm excited to see how many we get.
Speaker: We choose the same and how many we choose different because I feel like this one might already stir the pot.
Speaker: I, as much as I love tea and I go through phases at my core, I'm a coffee girl.
Speaker: Like,
Speaker: I'll go through phases of matcha, chai, even like iced teas.
Speaker: But I always make my way back to my lattes.
Speaker: I can't change who I am.
Speaker: I'm coffee all the way.
Speaker: Yeah, I'm definitely tea.
Speaker: I feel like I enjoy a nice coffee every now and then, but honestly, it just doesn't.
Speaker: I think I'm like not allergic, but like I get like headaches and a tummy ache when I drink it.
Speaker: So I do enjoy it, but I think I'm just more of a tea drinker consistently.
Speaker: I feel like I'm almost the opposite where I have no reaction to coffee.
Speaker: Like it doesn't even give me energy.
Speaker: I just drink it out of habit and like I genuinely enjoy it.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And I've been having a coffee a day since like probably way for way too long.
Speaker: But I feel like a lot of people would choose tea because it gives tummy aches and like induces anxiety.
Speaker: But not for me.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Okay, our next one is mountains or beach.
Speaker: I think I would choose mountains just because – but I also do love the beach and I'm like itching so badly to go on a beach vacation.
Speaker: I'm planning one right now, but I think at the end of the day I would choose mountains.
Speaker: This one's hard for me because I feel like I –
Speaker: Love the mountains.
Speaker: Like, obviously, I like to snowboard and stuff.
Speaker: And, like, I love, like, a cabin moment in the mountains.
Speaker: But I'm also, like... I feel like I'm always uncomfortable in the mountains.
Speaker: Like, it's cold.
Speaker: I get, like, a little bit of elevation sickness.
Speaker: But then the beach, I do have my gripes with the beach as well.
Speaker: One, I'm afraid of the ocean.
Speaker: Two, I don't really like sand.
Speaker: But if I can get past that, I...
Speaker: feel like the beach makes me feel more alive than anything.
Speaker: Nothing beats swimming in the ocean a little bit and laying out in the sun.
Speaker: I feel like if I'm honest with myself, the beach.
Speaker: But that's hard for me to say because I've never been a beach person.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: I think you've convinced me.
Speaker: Now that I think about it, if I had to live in a beach town or a mountain town, I'd actually probably choose beach town.
Speaker: The mountains are comforting in a way.
Speaker: It's almost like within my comfort zone because I didn't grow up by the beach.
Speaker: But the beach is just so – there's something about it.
Speaker: Like there is something to that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I'd have to choose beach.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: I'm going to say beach.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I've influenced you.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: This next one's easy.
Speaker: Gold or silver?
Speaker: Is it easy for you?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Really?
Speaker: I'm still a silver girly.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I do like to mix, but silver forever.
Speaker: And I'm gold forever.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I used to like only wear gold.
Speaker: I think I would dabble with mixing now.
Speaker: Something shifted lately to where I see silver stuff and I'm like, oh, maybe I do like that better in silver.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: It's evolving.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I also feel like there's such strong trend.
Speaker: Like obviously gold and silver both are always in, but there's such strong trends that it's like
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: It's weird.
Speaker: Like I feel like in the late 20 teens, it was like all silver and then like 20, 20 on, it was like all gold.
Speaker: And now it makes it hard for preference when like there's only one being sold and like all the cute stuff.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Like all the trendy stuff that you like is like one or the other.
Speaker: But I don't know.
Speaker: I still choose gold though.
Speaker: Um, okay.
Speaker: Next one, skincare or makeup?
Speaker: I'm going to say skincare.
Speaker: I mean, I do.
Speaker: Makeup is fun, but I find makeup to be really frustrating.
Speaker: Like, I don't know why I just, maybe it's just like in like the last year, I just haven't liked the way it looks on me yet.
Speaker: I do feel more confident with it on, but I don't know.
Speaker: Like if I'm going to Sephora, I'm going to buy a skincare.
Speaker: Like I can only do one or the other.
Speaker: I'm going to, I'm going to buy some skincare.
Speaker: That's so funny because if I was going to Sephora and I only had to buy one, I'd buy makeup.
Speaker: But I feel like I like, like I know a lot of people dread getting ready in the morning.
Speaker: Like if they have to put on makeup, they're like, oh my God, this is so annoying.
Speaker: Like it's just like a task.
Speaker: I kind of like, like I like doing my makeup in the morning.
Speaker: You do?
Speaker: I do.
Speaker: Like I listen to a little podcast.
Speaker: I'm jealous of like your love of like actually getting yourself ready in the morning.
Speaker: I wish I had that.
Speaker: Yeah, I know people are either one way or the other.
Speaker: Like it's like the worst task or it's like they need to do it to get their day started.
Speaker: I definitely need to do it to get my day started.
Speaker: But I love skincare and I do lately I've been leaning more towards like skincare e-makeup rather than like makeup makeup.
Speaker: But I still would choose makeup.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Interesting.
Speaker: I actually wasn't sure what you were going to answer for that one.
Speaker: I know because I love skincare.
Speaker: You do?
Speaker: Like all the different – I just love all the different products and stuff.
Speaker: But I also have a love-hate relationship with skincare because a lot of skincare breaks me out.
Speaker: Or like – Yeah.
Speaker: I have really sensitive skin.
Speaker: So I feel like I kind of know what makeup brands and stuff work with my skin.
Speaker: But skincare kind of like a shot in the dark.
Speaker: Sometimes it'll really not agree with my skin.
Speaker: That makes sense.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: The next one, morning or night?
Speaker: I definitely prefer a good morning.
Speaker: Same.
Speaker: 100%.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I also, when you like, I will, yeah, you did have jobs like this, like retail jobs or restaurant jobs or whatever, where you could choose like if you worked the morning shift or the night shift, which would you choose?
Speaker: Oh, I'd always choose morning.
Speaker: Always morning, right?
Speaker: I would way rather have an early morning and end my day early than get a late start and end my day late.
Speaker: I will absolutely wake up early rather than staying up late, A. And B, I just love the morning.
Speaker: Like I love my morning routine.
Speaker: I love my morning things, get my day started.
Speaker: I'm a morning gal.
Speaker: And I will fall asleep before 9 p.m.
Speaker: every night.
Speaker: So if I said I'm out.
Speaker: Yeah, it'd be a lie.
Speaker: Like you all would.
Speaker: I'd be lying too.
Speaker: I know I missed my dad's phone call the other day.
Speaker: He called me at nine o'clock.
Speaker: And the next morning I was like, sorry, I was in bed.
Speaker: And he like didn't believe me.
Speaker: I was like, no, like I was, I was, I was goner.
Speaker: My eyes were closed.
Speaker: I was, I was in REM already.
Speaker: I know it's really humbling to see like my missed texts when I wake up in the morning because people will text me yeah like 9 9 20 and I just won't respond and then I'll respond at like 6 a.m.
Speaker: I'm like what is wrong like yeah they probably think I'm the weird one obviously.
Speaker: But yeah, it is humbling to see that.
Speaker: It's kind of fun that you and I have the same schedule, though, because like when I'm ready to text you good morning or you're ready, like we're both like waking up to like I feel like we go to bed and get up at the same time.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I have friends that are totally opposite and they'll try to text me at like 11 p.m.
Speaker: and I will not respond, obviously.
Speaker: And then I'll try to text them in the morning and they won't respond until like noon.
Speaker: I'm like, this is not sustainable for our friendship.
Speaker: Like something's got to give us.
Speaker: But we are on the same schedule, which is nice.
Speaker: Okay, next one, call or text.
Speaker: Obviously, everybody knows the answer.
Speaker: Text.
Speaker: Don't call me.
Speaker: Don't call me unless it's an emergency.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: And we'll...
Speaker: I am still to my core text, but lately I've been realizing every time I talk on the phone with someone, I'm like, oh, that was kind of nice to catch up with a friend.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I guess I should pick up my phone a little more often.
Speaker: Will I?
Speaker: In reality, probably not.
Speaker: Like, yeah.
Speaker: And wait, did I already say this on the podcast?
Speaker: I realized the other day why I'm not a phone call person is because phone call people are people that can talk on the phone and do anything while they're talking on the phone.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Did I already say this?
Speaker: I don't think so, actually.
Speaker: When I'm talking on the phone, I'm in phone mode.
Speaker: Like, I'm in talking on the phone mode.
Speaker: I will not – I don't want to talk to you while I get ready in the morning because I want to listen to my podcast.
Speaker: I don't want to talk to you when I'm cooking or eating because those are times for me.
Speaker: I don't want to talk to you when I'm driving because I want to listen to music.
Speaker: Like,
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I already have my activities that I do throughout the day to where if somebody calls me, I have to now fit that into my schedule to just sit there and talk on the phone.
Speaker: Do you know what I mean?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And I think that's the thing that sets people apart.
Speaker: Like I, I, that just will never be me.
Speaker: Like I don't want to do things and talk on the phone at the same time.
Speaker: No, I know that's weird to some people.
Speaker: I think that's why I like voice messages or sending like videos like Madison and I will like send each other little vlogs.
Speaker: And it's because like then we get like that like I get to hear your voice.
Speaker: I get to see you.
Speaker: But like we each of us can respond like on our own time when it's like convenient because that's also what's hard about phone calls.
Speaker: It's like I don't know how to end it.
Speaker: And so now I wasted like an hour and I just I like actually want to go.
Speaker: Yeah, that's the thing.
Speaker: I will not end the phone call.
Speaker: Like I will be like, well, yeah.
Speaker: For like three hours, I'll try to end it and not be like, I have to go.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So then it just gets, it gets to be too much.
Speaker: It's irritating at that point.
Speaker: I agree.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Our next one, night in or a night out.
Speaker: Definitely a night in.
Speaker: I think I feel like for both of us.
Speaker: Yeah, I have a pretty strong night routine.
Speaker: But... The night out has its place.
Speaker: I was going to say, this is one of those things, too, like the beach and, like, talking on the phone where, like... Mm-hmm.
Speaker: I feel like at first glance, I don't enjoy it.
Speaker: But then every time I do it, I feel good.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Which is the irritating part.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You get home after like going out and you're like, oh, that was fun.
Speaker: Like, I love my friends.
Speaker: I had so much fun.
Speaker: But like you said, it has its place like once a week.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But six nights a week.
Speaker: So obviously the great majority is nights in.
Speaker: So I have to go with that.
Speaker: I think I kind of like a day out and then a night in.
Speaker: Like, I don't like being out and about when, like, it's dark out.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Or if anything.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I hate driving at night.
Speaker: I don't think my, I think something's wrong with my vision.
Speaker: And, like, I actually legally should not be driving at night.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: But also, I am kind of just afraid of the dark.
Speaker: Like, yeah.
Speaker: outside it's kind of like I feel like that one Spongebob episode where he has to like take the trash out at night and he's like at night did you ever see that one uh that rings a bell yes and yeah it's like he runs out really fast to take the trash that's me if I have to do anything outside but I also last night um Ben and I went out with some of our friends and it was like maybe 10 p.m and I was like well like
Speaker: hey guys like are we gonna yeah and everybody else was on the same page they're like yeah I'm about done like I'm ready to head home I was like this is my ideal group of people like nobody has any business being out all hours of the night like yeah you got to wrap it up pretty early if I'm going out yeah unfortunately I was out until one last night yeah
Speaker: I was literally practically wearing pajamas in the bar.
Speaker: I was the DD.
Speaker: I wasn't even drinking.
Speaker: But I was just there.
Speaker: The boys were having a good old time.
Speaker: Yeah, and that was really hard for me.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: My eyes will start closing.
Speaker: No, I'm like, I actually should not be the DD because now we're in danger of me falling asleep at the wheel.
Speaker: Literally.
Speaker: It's just as dangerous.
Speaker: I'm pretty sure there's been studies on it.
Speaker: You are also under the influence of EAPI.
Speaker: EAPI-ness.
Speaker: Yeah, like every once in a blue moon, it's a good old time, but I can't relate to people who go out like Friday, Saturday until...
Speaker: 3 a.m.
Speaker: Just not going to work.
Speaker: Not for me.
Speaker: I need like multiple days to recover from that.
Speaker: And it's not even like I've always been that way.
Speaker: Even like when I was 21 or whatever.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I get sleepy.
Speaker: Me too.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Next one.
Speaker: Summer or winter?
Speaker: This one's hard for me because I like the in-between seasons.
Speaker: It's hard in Arizona.
Speaker: I feel like.
Speaker: It is hard in Arizona.
Speaker: I think
Speaker: Anywhere other than Phoenix, I'm going to say summer.
Speaker: That was exactly my thoughts.
Speaker: I've always been somebody that says that they like winter more.
Speaker: And I'm not realizing that's because I was born and raised in Phoenix.
Speaker: Nobody's going to choose the summer in Phoenix.
Speaker: But I definitely get the appeal of summer now, living somewhere where it actually gets cold.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But I don't know.
Speaker: I don't like being hot, though.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I don't like wearing shorts.
Speaker: I don't like being sweaty and, like, feeling like as soon as you get home you have to take a shower.
Speaker: When it's, like, over.
Speaker: I have to, like, shave my legs every day.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: When it's over, like, maybe 80, 85, I just feel, like, icky.
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: And I hate that.
Speaker: But I also don't like being, like, frigid cold.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I actually don't like either.
Speaker: There's the fall option.
Speaker: Even spring.
Speaker: I love spring.
Speaker: Spring is nice.
Speaker: But yeah, fall is definitely the favorite.
Speaker: Well, the next one, I think we're different on this one.
Speaker: Sweet or salty?
Speaker: I have the biggest sweet tooth.
Speaker: It's really bad.
Speaker: I just always need something sweet.
Speaker: But I feel like you like to end on a salty note.
Speaker: I love, yes, I love to end on it.
Speaker: I am a salty girl through and through.
Speaker: If I had to choose...
Speaker: like a bag of sweets or a bag of chips, I will take the chips or like the pretzels or like anything salty all day long.
Speaker: And you're right.
Speaker: Like if I have a little, I love a sweet treat.
Speaker: Don't get me wrong.
Speaker: I love a sweet treat.
Speaker: But if I have a sweet treat, I have to eat like a little, I'll eat like a cracker or like a tortilla chip or something after because I can't have the sweet be the last taste of my mouth.
Speaker: I need, I need to like a little bit of salt.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And my mom's the same way.
Speaker: We would literally like have dessert and then both like go get a tortilla chip.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: That's so funny to me.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: Okay, next one.
Speaker: Bath or shower?
Speaker: This is like such a loaded question for me.
Speaker: I'm going to have to think about this.
Speaker: Lately for me, it's been shower.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Just because I've been getting the ick from my bath.
Speaker: I just – my whole place that I live in right now is just like falling apart.
Speaker: It's just like the landlord special sort of vibes.
Speaker: So I'm just like I just don't – like I've cleaned the bathtub many times on my own, but I just still get the ick.
Speaker: So –
Speaker: Right now, shower, but usually I am a bath girl through and through.
Speaker: I'll shower most of the time to get clean, wash my hair, that sort of thing.
Speaker: But baths are a crucial part of my personality.
Speaker: I was going to say, shower all the way for cleanliness.
Speaker: I have to shower to feel clean.
Speaker: But if we're talking what experience I enjoy more, a bath.
Speaker: Sometimes standing in the shower sounds like
Speaker: like the worst it's gonna tip me over the edge yeah so like I definitely enjoy baths more I guess I'll choose bath because that is like an integral part of my personality that's a hard one though but I do sometimes like any hotel or like anything I can't use the bath like
Speaker: It has to be under the right circumstances.
Speaker: And Emma and I were talking about the other day, like, it takes very specific things for a house to feel clean to me.
Speaker: To where, like, I love old houses with, like, a lot of character and charm and, like, vintage bathroom tiles and stuff.
Speaker: But I couldn't do it when it comes down to it.
Speaker: Like, I just, it wouldn't, even though I could clean it and, like, sanitize it, sterilize it, I could do anything, it still won't feel clean to me.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So it's hard, but under my current, in my current bathtub, I feel it's a safe space for me.
Speaker: It is safe.
Speaker: It's a great one.
Speaker: I've bathed in it.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You trust me.
Speaker: I do trust you.
Speaker: That says a lot.
Speaker: If I'll bathe in your tub.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: That's actually really sweet.
Speaker: Our next one, eat in or eat out.
Speaker: I am.
Speaker: Love to eat out.
Speaker: I really do.
Speaker: I do like to cook, but I'm going to eat out.
Speaker: I love to eat in.
Speaker: I love to eat at my house.
Speaker: I feel like...
Speaker: I like eating out if it's, like, a really good restaurant or, like, a really cute restaurant or, like, somewhere I've been wanting to go.
Speaker: But if I'm just, like, I need something to eat, I hate just, like, spending money on mediocre food.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's fair.
Speaker: Just, like, basic food.
Speaker: I don't want to go out and spend my money on it.
Speaker: But...
Speaker: Yeah, I would definitely choose Eden.
Speaker: Okay, next one is Saturday or Sunday.
Speaker: This one's hard for me because Saturdays always look different.
Speaker: Like, I could do anything on a Saturday.
Speaker: My Sundays, I have pretty locked and loaded.
Speaker: Like...
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Sundays are my days that I go grocery shopping or run any errands.
Speaker: They're my days that I do the most cleaning.
Speaker: They're the days that we record the podcast.
Speaker: Like my Sundays are very predictable and I love that.
Speaker: But Saturdays, I normally have like more fun, more like social things.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: i choose i choose saturdays because they are more fun yeah i feel like at first i'm more drawn to a sunday i do love a sunday vibe but there's something about like the freedom of a saturday to like
Speaker: You can truly do anything you want with your day, including the nighttime.
Speaker: Like nighttime, obviously, I'm going to get a little Sunday scaries on a Sunday.
Speaker: But Saturday, I can still stay in and have a relaxing moment.
Speaker: Or I can go out and do something fun.
Speaker: But I love a Saturday, too, like spending the day by myself.
Speaker: I think that's what I like about Sundays is like there's a lot of me time.
Speaker: If I can have a lot of me time on a Saturday.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: Even better.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, I feel like Sundays, again, are more comforting to me, like within my comfort zone.
Speaker: Like I'm in my element on a Sunday.
Speaker: But Saturdays are just more exciting.
Speaker: And like you said, the freedom, like you could do anything.
Speaker: You could go on a little day trip.
Speaker: You can go shopping.
Speaker: You could hang out.
Speaker: You could spend it alone.
Speaker: You could do anything.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: Movies or TV shows?
Speaker: This is an interesting one because Madison doesn't do either of those.
Speaker: I don't practice.
Speaker: She doesn't practice.
Speaker: I... This is way hard for me.
Speaker: I don't... It's so easy for me.
Speaker: I love movies so much, but a show is just, like, easier to incorporate into the day-to-day life, but...
Speaker: I think I'll choose movie.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Same.
Speaker: But for the opposite reason, because TV shows are so hard for me to incorporate into my life.
Speaker: Like I have to be so into it to go back and watch it.
Speaker: But movies, I can just enjoy it for the two hours or whatever that it is and not have to like have the commitment of it.
Speaker: I haven't watched it.
Speaker: It's hard to like pay attention sometimes at home.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: yeah i haven't watched like a series though in so long that i just it's not even on the table for me i'm kind of i'm kind of in like in between series right now so and a bit of a tv rut wait what did you just watch game of thrones yeah i did game of thrones watched a season of love island
Speaker: I'm kind of watching Love Island All-Stars right now, but it's not piquing my interest too much.
Speaker: I have shows that I'm watching as they get uploaded, you know?
Speaker: So like The Bachelor and everything, but I don't have a good binge show at the moment that I could just sit and watch all day if I wanted.
Speaker: I was going to say, I started The Bachelor...
Speaker: Probably like two weeks ago now because you and my mom were telling me that like whatever the season's good and there's certain people that you like and whatnot.
Speaker: So I started that.
Speaker: I really do want to watch it.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Can you work on that today?
Speaker: I will.
Speaker: I will.
Speaker: And live text.
Speaker: But this is the thing about me that I'm also realizing I will I don't know if you're the same way.
Speaker: But I feel like some people like watch The Bachelor as they're cooking, as they're cleaning.
Speaker: Like I'm not a TV on in the background kind of person.
Speaker: I need to sit there and stare at the TV and my eyes will not move from the TV.
Speaker: Like I feel like I have to catch everything.
Speaker: So then it's like, I can't do that that often.
Speaker: But I do want to watch it.
Speaker: I do like The Bachelor, the seasons that I have watched.
Speaker: I love it.
Speaker: This one is really good.
Speaker: How far along is it?
Speaker: like halfway through i'm not quite sure what week we're on now i think there's at least been four episodes okay that's not bad no i can do that it's my favorite to watch on a tuesday during my lunch break if i'm working from home that's like my perfect viewing situation okay nice because does it come out on tuesdays or mondays yeah like if you're watching it like on hulu it'll um be live on a tuesday oh okay
Speaker: Okay, next one is theme park or water park.
Speaker: I don't know what you're going to choose.
Speaker: That's why I put this one.
Speaker: This is hard for me.
Speaker: Same.
Speaker: I love both.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So you could also frame it like roller coaster or water slide.
Speaker: I feel like that's really what it comes down to.
Speaker: I want to say a theme park, but in the last few years, I've developed some pretty bad motion sickness.
Speaker: So I fear that I wouldn't be able to do that.
Speaker: But there was nothing worse growing up than having to wait in line for a water slide.
Speaker: I'd rather wait in line for a roller coaster where I'm clothed and dry.
Speaker: Literally standing there wet, barefoot in a bikini.
Speaker: A Phoenix summer is just crazy.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Wait, so you would choose theme park?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I think I would choose theme park too, just because it sounds more special to me.
Speaker: Like, I would have to go further out of my way for a theme park.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Whereas a water park, you could just kind of go to.
Speaker: You're not going to Castles and Coasters?
Speaker: No, not going to Castles and Coasters.
Speaker: No, not that.
Speaker: Not that one.
Speaker: No, but I love Disneyland.
Speaker: That's probably the only theme park I've ever been to.
Speaker: I don't think I've been to any of the ones, to be quite frank.
Speaker: I've never been to like a Six Flags.
Speaker: I've been to a Six Flags.
Speaker: I don't think I ever have.
Speaker: Pretty intense.
Speaker: The other thing is a water park.
Speaker: Now that I'm getting more grown up, I'm like,
Speaker: Kind of icky.
Speaker: Hygiene is... I'm not vibing with that.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I went through literally four summers in high school where I was begging everyone to go to the water park with me and nobody would go because they all thought it was gross.
Speaker: I was like, I just want to go on a water slide so bad.
Speaker: Water slides are so fun to me, but you're right.
Speaker: The experience of actually being at the water park, not the most fun.
Speaker: But those 30 seconds when you're on the water slide...
Speaker: So fun.
Speaker: But the theme park is more like of a enjoyable experience all around.
Speaker: I feel full day.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You can get food.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Fun drinks.
Speaker: I really want to go to Disneyland.
Speaker: Oh, I've been itching.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I don't like... I'm once again begging you to go to Disneyland with me.
Speaker: And I'm ready anytime you are.
Speaker: I promise you, it was a mutual decision to cancel the trip last time.
Speaker: That's true.
Speaker: And now I'm ready to mutually plan it again whenever you're ready.
Speaker: I was never like a Disney kid like I didn't really I've never seen like a lot of the classic Disney movies so I kind of feel like a fraud like liking Disneyland because I don't actually like Disney but I just love like the Disneyland experience yeah I don't care about the characters I actually have a phobia of people in costumes and stuff and like blow up people in blow up costumes did you know that
Speaker: I think maybe I did, deep in my memory.
Speaker: It might be because the Suns game might always have a near panic attack if the gorilla comes anywhere near me.
Speaker: People get so excited when the gorilla comes up to them.
Speaker: That gorilla is kind of scary.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I know.
Speaker: I think that's where my fear stemmed.
Speaker: But even meeting characters, it sends a shiver to my spine.
Speaker: I don't like it.
Speaker: That's fair.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: The only negative of Disney is if a character comes too close, I'm like, ooh.
Speaker: Get away.
Speaker: I'll protect you.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: Next, we have planned or surprises.
Speaker: I love a plan, but I do love to be surprised.
Speaker: I love the idea of someone thinking deeply about me.
Speaker: Just period.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: That's it.
Speaker: Yeah, I...
Speaker: I have a complicated history with surprises because my mom never let a surprise happen ever.
Speaker: Like she's the worst secret keeper.
Speaker: If you want to tell anyone a secret, do not tell my mom because she will immediately open her mouth and tell you.
Speaker: Like any gift that I was getting as a child, any birthday party plan, anything, she would only be able to hold it in for like a day.
Speaker: Like I vividly remember being like seven or something and it being like November.
Speaker: And she's like, okay, do you want to see what I got you for Christmas?
Speaker: Like come here.
Speaker: So she just showed me everything early.
Speaker: So then as an adult in like relationships or friendships, when people would like try to surprise me with stuff, I would, it like would give me anxiety because I'm like, well, just tell me early.
Speaker: Like what, what are we doing?
Speaker: What'd you get me?
Speaker: Like, I need to know.
Speaker: But now I feel like I've,
Speaker: learn to love surprises.
Speaker: Like, yeah, they are really fun, but only for certain things.
Speaker: Like if you're planning a trip or something, I'd like to be in on it because I also have control issues.
Speaker: I love a, like a gift out of nowhere.
Speaker: I was going to say a gift surprise.
Speaker: Perfect.
Speaker: But like a trip or like, like a big decision, like something that I'm going to have for a long time.
Speaker: I do like to be a part of the process.
Speaker: Unfortunately.
Speaker: I agree with that.
Speaker: When I knew Ben was going to start thinking about reposing, I literally sent him the ring that I wanted.
Speaker: I was like, you need to get this one and don't surprise me with anything else.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And that's how it should be.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: Like, you know what you like.
Speaker: And with stuff like that, you want to be a part of it.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Next one is like a hypothetical pause time or rewind time.
Speaker: If you had the option to do either.
Speaker: I'm defo pausing time.
Speaker: I don't need to go back.
Speaker: There's, you know.
Speaker: 100%.
Speaker: I would love to pause and just breathe, take a nap.
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: Gather my thoughts.
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: Like, I have no desire to rewind.
Speaker: Unless, like, I guess something happens.
Speaker: really embarrassing happens or something but like most of the time it's just like i don't want to like rewind yeah let's try to fix that let's just move forward but pausing time yeah i would love to like just not do anything like imagine if you could just everything to do literally middle of the day monday pause time take a nap close your rest your eyes just need to rest my eyes a moment
Speaker: That is so up your alley.
Speaker: Like you need a pause button.
Speaker: It really is.
Speaker: Maybe I have one.
Speaker: Maybe.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: It's called just napping.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: It's called doing life my way.
Speaker: Literally.
Speaker: But imagine napping with no consequences.
Speaker: Like.
Speaker: I know, right?
Speaker: You wake up and it's still the same time.
Speaker: That would be nice.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Our last one.
Speaker: Walk slow or walk fast.
Speaker: I don't like slow walkers.
Speaker: I am trying to get to my destination, so I like to walk fast.
Speaker: Same.
Speaker: I actually can't stand slow walkers.
Speaker: And even if I don't have anywhere important to be, I'm going to walk like...
Speaker: I have a destination.
Speaker: Like, yeah.
Speaker: And this has been criticized of me many times from my friends that are shorter than me.
Speaker: They're like, I literally am jogging next to you.
Speaker: Like, what are we, why are we rushing?
Speaker: Like, what's the rush?
Speaker: But I just love walking fast.
Speaker: I got places to be.
Speaker: Same.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: I've been called out for walking fast.
Speaker: Someone said that to me on a first date once.
Speaker: Really?
Speaker: No, I think it's because I grew up with like a pretty tall family.
Speaker: I'm not super tall, but I just I learned to keep up.
Speaker: And if you can't keep up, like, sorry.
Speaker: You're going to get left behind.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I can't stand a slow, a little, no, especially if it's somebody in front of me walking slow or even people with me that are walking slow.
Speaker: I'm like, I'm going to continue to walk at my pace.
Speaker: I'm not slowing down.
Speaker: Like, keep up.
Speaker: Well, that is it for this episode.
Speaker: Hopefully you enjoyed and maybe like played along, got to know us a little bit.
Speaker: Just trying to do something fun and lighthearted on the pod every now and then.
