Speaker: ah keep selling it so you'll fucking read them. I swear to God. will read I'm here for it. Till we're 90. so he' nine I mean, by that point, Jar Jar R. arm Martin might have released the rest of... Jar Jar Martin! I fucking love that! Jar Jar Martin! At one a minute fifteen, that's the... there You will be in a jar by the time you've finished it. Like a drama.
Speaker: He's a kill your favourite character. He's a do-ba-do-do there, Jon Snow.
Speaker: Hello everyone and welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, Belem Draconis. We are a live play 5E 2024 D&D podcast set in the magical home-brewed world of Aerith in the kingdom of Dralak.
Speaker: Joining you for this week's episode, we have me who plays the Human Blade singer Seth Farah-Rever. We have Will who plays the Dragonborn druid Balvalcon. We sir play D&D. Ian who plays the Teethling Warster and Nyx Carell.
Speaker: You sir people gonna roll a D20. t We still got that edgelord Callum who plays the warforged artifice at alpha. Me still got a one. Poobah who plays the human cleric Emron. yeah We still got a die. Darren who plays the high elf artifice of Rain's head out.
Speaker: There's a two party in the room, no? And our adventure architect, our arbiter of the anarchy, our alchemist of awe, dungeon master Danny. Me still got a bad feeling about this.
Speaker: but yeah We see old Gal, but mainly his tongue, as he's long... Licking his toes?
Speaker: No, that's gross. His toes are so tall. Sorry. He... he is licking the foam off what looks to be a large ah ale and just like unnecessarily curling, lapping it like a cat or dog might. yeah Exactly as Will is currently demonstrating. That was disgusting. We'll never do that again. Oh, he's doing it again.
Speaker: Oh, God. Happy be wife, happy life. He sat stool high at the bar of of an a nondescript sleep guardian tavern.
Speaker: licking the bubbles ah will throw me out off the top of his drink as he rolls the orb across in front of the drink from one hand to the other like single-person game of ping-pong.
Speaker: He stops it with his left finger and just he hears scraping sound as his toes clench, his long nails clench against the the wood of the bench underneath him. As he looks deep into the orb, the colours swell and he begins.
Speaker: Ooh, the last verse! The group finally makes its way to meet with the folky folks underneath that library, and they get there. Baal summons his wildfire spirit, and it looks like it's changed form a little bit.
Speaker: Orla, the halfling makes an appearance and they all go together down a buttload of steps into a sewer-like area with a big old lead door. There is, roll 4d12, figures in the room, including Sparrow Hog, Ghostwing, Red Tiefling by the name of Red Rook, Karstan, Gnome Red, Gnome Drago, Other Gnome, Kennard, and Beauregard Bluehill, and oh shit, it's that emergency meeting. Ghostwing and Red Rook are like, oh, by the way, two kingdoms were not defended by the Akriska, and turns out that those people from the skies pretty much did fuck all, and that was in Goldview and also in an area of Shadowmend. And Emron's all like, well, what the fuck is that?
Speaker: Maybe it's to do with the dragons. And they're like, because High Jadeheart also doesn't have a dragon matriarch, so it might not be that, but oop. fucking knows. We find out that demons are fighting the constructs throughout Aerith, all over the cities, all over the lands, all over the fucking world.
Speaker: Half of the Winged Watch has been destroyed, and Karsthan's like, I'm gonna sing you a badass song about the last verse of the 13th kingdom, but start from the end when I can sing you the whole fucking thing?
Speaker: And it's awesome. He predicts. within that thirteenth verse, that armies of Hell be arising, and they're gonna be led by a tonk-Helan. The land's first rulers, the thirteen, are gonna awaken, and all other than metal and stone will break, and the dragons are gonna rise, and Aerith will be at war.
Speaker: Silence fills the room. other than gold sparks and a round of applause as Nyx casts pressure to it after Karstan finishes because they're bros.
Speaker: And that was such a fine performance that Nyx is just like clapping and whooping and, whoa, whoa, my boy And Karstan looks, he looks at you and he he gives you a wave of knowledge about He looks quite forlorn because he knows and like, because of the weight of the words that he has just sung.
Speaker: and And uncharacteristically doesn't take an elaborate bow, but just waves a hand in acknowledgement of Nix's applause. and then Which gets awkwardly slower as he realises the room is not buying in on this. and As he's still clapping, barr will just put a hand to kind of soften the claps.
Speaker: Read the room, Nyx. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Like a performance. so Just of curiosity, is anyone looking at any other particular individual um in those moments? If Baal is looking at Nyx, if Nyx was focused on Karstan, Karstan was not seeking ruptuous applause, um would anyone be thinking of anyone else's response or reaction? but and Obviously, quietening Nick's down, he is just going to try and share an eye with Gnome Wren as well.
Speaker: and Especially with the last part of the last verse brought up and just see if she is, and see how she's kind of reacting to this if there's anything kind of new there from her towards him sort of surface level she looks shocked and unsettled um but perhaps when we need an insight check to maybe delve a little bit deeper if you felt you wanted to I'll delve dive dodge and delve with a tasty plus 7 this is going to be a decent roll come on roll 20 here it goes it's a 24
Speaker: You notice she's holding the arm um of the other gnome who isn't Drago. ah Almost slightly in support.
Speaker: ah
Speaker: You're a bit further away, but you can see those three are particularly sort of animated with their concern. um But she seems to be the most...
Speaker: fearful.
Speaker: The two male gnomes don't look fearful, they look more concerned. um But she certainly is presenting fear. Okay, thank you.
Speaker: Would, if Alpha were to give a curtaily glance of the room, would he be able to pick out any of the familiar forms of Ogremoth that he may have seen before?
Speaker: Make a perception check.
Speaker: Come on, perception. Come on, buddy. 18. Yeah. yeah Say his name out loud, I dare you. No. We've said it quite a lot. I'm not trying to rupture the ah space-time continuum or whatever. That's changing. how it's go to do Got an order here for an ogre morph? Who ordered a pizza?
Speaker: You've seen maybe 40 forms. And some in really quick succession. And he mentioned... It has about 200.
Speaker: You couldn't rule it out. But none of the ones that stood out, like the werewolf, any of the animals, that the haggard wizards that sort of did the operation on you,
Speaker: um
Speaker: the the beautiful elven female, none of those forms but that stick in your mind are there. But couldn't rule out.
Speaker: There is one way to find out, but it's whether or not you're brave enough to do it.
Speaker: Give me the eyes. Give me the eyes. Nick will do it. You tell me. Give Karstam the eyes. He knows the chicken wizard well. that ah I think I would actually... I think Reigns is next to me. i'm just going to lean and whisper to Reigns that if Nick accidentally hurts us, I'm fair enough.
Speaker: and But I whisper to Reigns going, I do wonder if Ogremorf is actually here.
Speaker: There's no response to the whisper if you're looking out the room room in expectation. have to say I was hoping not. I'll be honest. There's been a whisper to Reigns and Reigns only to hear. Reigns kind of snaps out. Reigns was focusing on City Trapped in Time. He was focusing on some pretty strong prophecy there that, to his mind, links back to Father Keep and links back to Shadomend. And Shadomend has become a much more prominent immediate player in this story than it was 20 minutes ago for him. He he knew his granddad was involved. He knew there was something to do with Alpha and the memory. And that's the other thing. Alpha has become potentially a much more prominent player as well in the way that he was already incredibly prominent, but now he looks like he could be world shatteringly pivotal. So Rainfish snaps out. You're all going to die and I'm the one left.
Speaker: um but
Speaker: It's just a thought, Ray. they Talking about... um Yeah, i mean I really went into folly. You went full folly. I went full folly. I went full... There, there, there. Carsten looks up. Folly?
Speaker: i He's back! Oh, rip. I wish.
Speaker: I do apologize. I'm just wondering. can't get out of here in Polly now. I'm going to talk normally for second.
Speaker: The changeling at the Forge workshop certainly advised many things to us.
Speaker: I'm partially curious if he is aware of this lost verse and if there are any any light he may be able to shed on this as well. I wonder that too, Foley. I mean, sorry. i'm Fuck you, Darren.
Speaker: Emron's going to lean over as these two are talking. It's not the first time we've heard that demon's name either in the last couple of days.
Speaker: Perhaps Rain is going to say loud...
Speaker: And the decision is, he's saying this just loudly, just thinking out loud, is we decide what to do with that, right? Whether to keep it secret or whether to sing it. Everyone in the sort of micro parties is murmuring like you guys are.
Speaker: And the moment you sort of pierce that sound barrier, the room just comes to a silence again. Everyone just looks back in your direction and goes and says, What was that?
Speaker: You said before, started singing, we make a choice about what to do with the verses in that song, and right? Yes.
Speaker: I ask all of you looking around the room,
Speaker: do we put Aerith into a more prepared state or a more chaotic one if this is shared?
Speaker: This shouldn't be the decision of me, of Karstan, alone.
Speaker: We are a room of soldiers, of traders,
Speaker: of scholars, of sailors.
Speaker: The winged watch represents Aerith.
Speaker: If we can't decide what's best for us,
Speaker: no one can.
Speaker: I will kind of take a quick step forwards towards Ghostwing and just say is this verse...
Speaker: Now only known amongst those of us within this room. There is no one else upon Aerith that knows of this. Karstan just sort of raises his head and says, Well, and a vampire and ah mind flayer, but they're silenced permanently.
Speaker: ah That's something to unpick and I don't quite follow, but okay. ah My question, and I suppose worry, would be
Speaker: related to the Akriskra. They clearly know something more than perhaps we in this room do.
Speaker: It seems they're fighting back, all The majority are against what's in the sky.
Speaker: But they have got power and knowledge and resources far beyond your, our, I suppose, means.
Speaker: Is this going to, with this information, can it can it be turned into a negative if it's released? is it I mean, i suppose we're all here, that that's and he's kind of pointing up, even though he's like not miles but he's very much underground, there's nothing in the sky, but he's so used to pointing up at the sky.
Speaker: it is I mean, I'm i' not quite sure what I'm trying to say here, other than...
Speaker: if this is released, if this is public knowledge, they have got much greater resources than we perhaps do to do something about this. But can they be trusted to, or will they turn this to make their own gains? I probably should have thought before I stepped forward and talked. I'm sorry.
Speaker: no I'll kind of take a step back. You needn't apologize for Asking a question or sharing an opinion, this is what this is for. Leib Kruskru.
Speaker: That's not my domain. He just turns to Sparrowhawk.
Speaker: Sparrowhawk puts down this pen, stands up from this small desk that he's been trying to hastily write down. Karstann's verse.
Speaker: takes a few seconds to catch up and it's just sort scribbling a couple of words, but but it's looking up knowing that there's an expectation he has to speak. And then says, so think what you mean there, Baal, is that
Speaker: one thing we can't measure is that how prepared they are or how much they've known
Speaker: It's got to be fair to say that they knew about the verse. Or they knew something was coming because how the fuck could they all have been in a position to defend Ereth?
Speaker: How could they have been there in force
Speaker: at that exact moment?
Speaker: It reveals so much as to why Delmontrese was...
Speaker: here and not in Goldview because Goldview was fine he knew that wasn't going to need to be protected how did he know that?
Speaker: what we do know
Speaker: is that there is this force from the sky there are these demons from the hells there is the Akrushkra and there are dragons
Speaker: There are four armies at play here.
Speaker: This isn't a binary decision.
Speaker: This gives a knowing look to Nyx for a second. This isn't about siding with the metal people in the sky or the demons from below.
Speaker: It's more nuanced than that, I think.
Speaker: Um... Out of interest and intrigue,
Speaker: anyone got any ideas on how we can just stop this 13th kingdom? like Correct me if I'm wrong, it's not actually here right now. So it seems like all of our future problems would be solved if we just nixed the upcoming 13th.
Speaker: I think the 13th is on its way.
Speaker: So we can't stop it. It's always been known that once the 12th was made, the wheels are in motion at that point. So what's the...
Speaker: What's the goal here with this group? And I'm all for it. I love a group. ah I'm all happy to follow in the command of it and and do righteous, amazing things.
Speaker: I'm just wondering like if we were to put a sentence out there like, our objective is... And you guys fill the blanks.
Speaker: Ghostwing just sort of steps into view.
Speaker: Defend Earth. Defend it from... and Points to the sky.
Speaker: Above us. Points to... actually makes a point of walking over to Emron and points at this this golden weapon that Emron picked up off one of those creatures.
Speaker: Creatures from below. The Akriskra.
Speaker: And from whatever havoc, whatever part, The dragons are going to play in this.
Speaker: That's the sentence, Dix.
Speaker: It's more of a couple of sentences, but... I appreciate but... I was just wondering if there was more of a simplified... But yeah, no, I... If Aerith is to be at war, if Aerith is to be the battleground for other people's wars...
Speaker: I guess we're here to make sure that Aerith still is Aerith at the end of it. Cool. The kingdoms we are and the people we are. There's nothing to say that we, like, there's no deal to be made to move this battle to, like, another place.
Speaker: Everyone sort of scoffs when Nick says the word deal.
Speaker: Bless you. There's nothing to be done to move this battle from Aerith.
Speaker: ah I'm presuming at this point we're still finding out more information and there's still stuff for us all to do. But I think the issue is that all of these parties have a claim on this land.
Speaker: yeah and Okay. And a final question. And thanks for answering thus far. If I was to say, what's our best foot forwards as in a next step?
Speaker: As in what we could all do and Nix will kind of ah motion around the group with his hands. What would that be?
Speaker: Sparrowhawk's just head. That's coming up. Jumping the gun. Okay.
Speaker: but during that Sorry, just during that time, Seth would have written a note for Nick, so whoever's kind of nearby, I'm not sure who's around him still, but he would have just written, for anyone who looks over it, he'd written big, scrawling letters, hell is coming, the blight are returning, this will not end well.
Speaker: And he just kind of got that open, and he's staring intently, he's listening very intently for the first time in this conversation. For those who can't read, our friend here has just said, the blight is coming, and there will be hell.
Speaker: The Red Rook stands.
Speaker: I got you. We haven't considered
Speaker: what the blight is, was, could be amongst this.
Speaker: Do you have any more thoughts?
Speaker: Stares at you, Seth.
Speaker: Seth stares back, stands up. Takes a deep breath. And you're interrupted by a gnome. The blight ended.
Speaker: We stopped that. It's not coming back.
Speaker: And sits back down again. At the same time, Seth sits back down as well.
Speaker: it I'm just trying to make sense of this. You... You don't want us to form a plan for what's coming next because you already have that. you You want us to make a decision about this song before we discuss anything else. Is that correct?
Speaker: Ghostwing reclaims Control of the Room a little bit.
Speaker: Yes. That's the first decision we need to make.
Speaker: The one thing that unifies Aerith in this moment is that every Aerithian... saw what happened in the sky. Every kingdom was invaded, either hostily or not, by those creatures.
Speaker: Every kingdom is seeing devils and demons appear.
Speaker: Every kingdom knows who the Obkwiskra are.
Speaker: This is the only thing that unites them.
Speaker: In this moment,
Speaker: Well, if I may put my two silver pieces on the table, I think it's a question of whether we wish to be conservative in our dealings or aggressive.
Speaker: Now, there are folk in this room who are famous, Erif Ryd, and I don't mean any of the six of us, I mean... them and he'll he'll nod towards Drago and that area over there and Carstown in particular.
Speaker: Shadow Men's borders were shut for years yet we knew who they were. So Subterfuge isn't necessarily on our side. However, there are host of people in here of capable abilities.
Speaker: but That means we can concert our efforts or we can spread our efforts Erythian wide. it's it it we We do have options here. And I think
Speaker: the root source of this being Karstan, and Reigns will acknowledge Karstan, is
Speaker: it's so It's a weapon and a strength that our enemies don't possess. You say, what do we have? And I agree with Bob. We are outmaneuvered in many ways by the UpKrishkra. But fame and fame for saving Aerith is not one of them. We have reputation on our side and we have good people in this fight.
Speaker: i I don't think now is the time for being conservative. I vote for singing it and I vote for singing it far and wide.
Speaker: Seth would have written, well, and nodding along as Rain says that, and again, he's elbowed you, Nick, and he's written, just tell them all, get them to sing it, no one will believe it anyway.
Speaker: And Dottie's saying, he starts elbowing you to get your attention to look down at the book and he keeps elbowing you. Yep, yep, yep. yeah Again, friend here, ah friend here ah agrees with the right honourable gentleman, reigns, and would want this to be sung far and wide, ah no one will believe it anyway.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. If Aerith is at war, then everyone has a right to know that. And if what Seth says is true, if some people won't believe it, and he's right, some people won't believe it.
Speaker: But those who want to try and do what is right for Aerith... We'll hear it. We'll understand it. And it's better that people have a chance to be prepared for whatever's about to come than not know what's happening.
Speaker: A noble, a very noble suggestion.
Speaker: Prince Haddo, you're right. There are people of particular fame in this organization.
Speaker: When Karstan puts his name as the author and the discoverer of this lost verse, then looks at Seth, this will be believed, undoubtedly.
Speaker: What I'm suggesting is that we vote as a chapter. We vote as the Dralak contingent of the Winged Watch now.
Speaker: And when we meet in our full number in two weeks' time, that's when decisions will take to the entirety of the Winged Watch. I agree with what you've said, Emron.
Speaker: If we are going to war, people ought to know about it. My concern is if they know about it,
Speaker: Who do they swear allegiance to?
Speaker: Do they fight for the Upkriskra? Do they present themselves as the solution? Are the Upkriskra the solution we've been hoping for? Or are they going to simply be another claim to this land that's going to change it forever?
Speaker: Is a new force needed? Why were the two kingdoms... in particular arrangements,
Speaker: why wasn't Goldview attacked?
Speaker: Why was the kingdom of Shadow Men protected by these demons?
Speaker: If this becomes known,
Speaker: who stands up for the people and says, we are the we are the pi power, we are the people that will protect you? That, I think, is what we have to decide if we are going to be.
Speaker: But I would do that with our whole number.
Speaker: As in, the winged watch becomes the the protectors of Aerith? I think what we need to do of the next couple of weeks, and I have assignments for all of you, is we just need a few more pieces of this puzzle unturned.
Speaker: Would you still lead the winged watch in that case? um I'm all for it. could consider my vote casted, but I'm just wondering like, well,
Speaker: yeah, would, would then everyone have to fall behind you? And that's just a question. That's not a pointed question.
Speaker: If you forgive my speaking.
Speaker: Corel, the reason that you are invited here,
Speaker: is for these sorts of challenges,
Speaker: is to offer this perspective. I am not a military leader. I'm not trained in martial combat.
Speaker: I'm not powerless. And if there are a couple of giggles in the room. Nice.
Speaker: But if we are to be a beacon, if we are to be a body of of force, if we are to be member of this war, no, it will not be me. We'll have to decide how we want to operate.
Speaker: And that's a bit more challenging because we aren't coming from a military or we aren't a military organization. We're a He sort of apologetically looks at the Red Rook when he says this.
Speaker: We're spy network. We deal in information. We are surveillance.
Speaker: Some of us, more than that. And sort of gestures to the gnomes.
Speaker: But that's a decision for ah further down the line.
Speaker: But what you're suggesting is a very important point. I would not lead us to war. A ship needs a captain is all.
Speaker: It's whether we can be more clever. It's whether a we can lead every leader instead. Imagine uniting the kingdoms.
Speaker: But ah this is speculation. Yeah, that just to invite civil war. I know nothing about that, but i do know from my own background of just trying to get different ships to parlay with each other is is hard enough. And there's a figurehead on each ship.
Speaker: Every ship has a figurehead and you don't see two ships sail together. There's a reason for that.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: All we can do is decide whether Aerith gets a voice in this
Speaker: this debate over our own land.
Speaker: Val, you're sort of stepping into the center of the room here. Yeah, I'm taking in everything that's been said as well.
Speaker: You say that the expertise of this group is spy work, espionage, that malarkey.
Speaker: Do you have, do we have people high up within those opposing forces? Do we have people that are that's a working their way up the ranks of the the groups like the Upchriscra?
Speaker: We have no members in the Upchriscra anymore.
Speaker: We were discovered. That seems big fucking oversight. Excuse Draconic, but that is... They know a lot more...
Speaker: than we do. And I'm not saying it's easy, I know that. I mean, this is, ah like I say, your expertise, arguably, or the group here's expertise. But to not have someone on the inside able to drip-feed information from a group that knows so much more than us... Sparrowhawk stands.
Speaker: We had one.
Speaker: We had one, and he's voiceless now.
Speaker: We've had a dozen over the last year. I... All have been killed. I might have someone that we could talk to from within the Chris Gra and she might be on board. She's helped us out more than once and and saved our lives at times.
Speaker: ah if If this is an avenue that we want to explore...
Speaker: Nix is thinking of... isie she's been She's been hanged, Nix.
Speaker: She was our last one on the inside.
Speaker: Their recruitment methods have changed. but oh i well like I know, this is a different... This is almost like a side story, if you will. but yeah You dropped a pretty big bombshell on there for someone who had a lifetide...
Speaker: Who hung her out of interest? Her own. Next.
Speaker: Well, not us.
Speaker: Their recruitment has changed.
Speaker: they're expecting They're expecting this sort of shadow work.
Speaker: They all have to submit to an awful lot of security checks now.
Speaker: We have no one in the inside at present.
Speaker: We had some coming close, but they were killed in the events of the last couple of days. Raines is just looking at his arm and flasping it and feeling the tension in the room. And all of a sudden he just checks the metal gauntlet and a flash comes across his eyes and instinctively, he just looks up at Sparrowhawk and goes, what about your brother?
Speaker: oh
Speaker: You feel a blade.
Speaker: rest on your hip and a very tight grip in your chest
Speaker: as this gnome that you know to be Drago.
Speaker: What the fuck have you just said?
Speaker: Reigns will look around at the others just as if... Mix all in your head. ah They don't know it's this bastion.
Speaker: It was a secret.
Speaker: Nothing. you make an athletics ah or acrobatics check to try and break this grapple as you are being pulled out of this meeting?
Speaker: single-handedly from this gnome with a blade still pushed against your hip and extracted back to the corridor.
Speaker: He then puts the blade back on his hip. You can try and contest again.
Speaker: No, Reigns is shocked. He's just trying to make sense of this all, and as he's done before, he's intelligent but not wise. He doesn't know what he's done. He's... Yeah. um You see the door open the door is opening, and you're thrust out.
Speaker: He steps out, blade still in hand, and just says,
Speaker: you try that again.
Speaker: Old me would have killed you in a second there.
Speaker: You've put someone I care about in danger.
Speaker: Real fucking danger.
Speaker: we cross paths again, I'm really gonna struggle to keep my cool.
Speaker: We've shown us that you are not able to handle privileged information. Sensitive fucking information.
Speaker: out. yeah Sorry. Yeah. Reigns will just go.
Speaker: And you hear this crank of the door and then this colossal slam behind you.
Speaker: Anyone do anything in those moments where there's a silence in the room? So Nix's mind brushed with reins when there was the telepathic communication. Can I still feel Reigns? How thick is that?
Speaker: ah Severed. You've lost him. Now this door is shut.
Speaker: Sheesh. Seth's going to look up to Nyx with like a furrowed brow and going point to him and point to his head and point to you like, have you got him?
Speaker: And Nyx will shake his head.
Speaker: Can I just... come No, you can't. You've had your quota of words, Callum. Shut up, Seth. Shut up. um Gnomes come back in, but without Reigns.
Speaker: Yeah, but blocking the door almost, like stood at that corridor end to make sure that he has eyes on the door. I will start making my way to the door that Reigns has been escorted out of.
Speaker: Nolim just looks at you for a second says, you go after him, I'm not letting you back in.
Speaker: He's fine. He has undergone no harm. He might have a bruised elbow or something from when I threw him, but no.
Speaker: ah This is the first time I'm going to do this. Can I do an inside sec? I'm going to try read. An inside check. Insight. He's not going look inside at that rubber gun. Get the probe ready, Alpha.
Speaker: Yeah. As opposed to all those outside checks you've been doing recently. cough. I rolled an eight. You believe him?
Speaker: Fair enough.
Speaker: I'm a fucking paladin, mate. I can't just straight up murder someone like that.
Speaker: Very well. Reigns had a
Speaker: Good feeling about you as a character.
Speaker: I was fucking wrong, though. I had the same feeling for him.
Speaker: Reigns is a good person, but sometimes his mouth speaks before his mind. Yeah, I'm done talking about it now.
Speaker: During this time, Seth's going scribble down in the book and kind of getting quite frustrated and trying to like get Nix's attention to get all the balls or someone around it and try and scribble down like, um, is this over? Have we come to a conclusion? Who do we kill? And that's in capitals. And he's kind of looking at, if you can't finish you can't finish that sentence.
Speaker: This point you're getting quite hastily, um, like like assertive with this book. And your ink's just disappearing. into the pages, it seems.
Speaker: Like you're dripping water onto a towel and it's absorbing it. My headphones are falling off my head as I just go forward back on a second. I can have to find it. In these moments, oh my your say minutes where there is that there was that silence, and then Reigns was ejected from this conversation,
Speaker: And then Alpha, you and Drago had this sort of hushed while other other conversation was sort of happening. Sparrowhawk, sorry, Ghostwing attempts a sort of light recovery and just says to the room,
Speaker: ah hope you will all ignore that comment, that question.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: This person and gestures at Sparrowhawk. There's not birthed by the name of Sparrowhawk. He is obviously working under a pseudonym. He is obviously someone else.
Speaker: We're keeping this identity safe, as we all agreed. This person doesn't have any family.
Speaker: I ask you all in the spirit of our organization to just accept that, whether you believe it or not. But
Speaker: we've all come to learn that Prince Rain's shadow
Speaker: has a loose tongue. And there is a bit of laughter in the room at that.
Speaker: Now, if I may just draw us back to business.
Speaker: How are we leaning on this? Before we move to the action points, before um we move to...
Speaker: to what can be said and what we can do.
Speaker: How does this chapter of the Wingwatch suggest we proceed with Karstan's request?
Speaker: Does Aerith deserve to know?
Speaker: Surely if your organisation, and I don't mean to speak from knowing we've been
Speaker: associated you know i know i myself wish to you know be part of this and what it stands for i don't know whether that's a thing or whether we are part of it or just here by association but if the wing watch is meant to be the spies can the wing watch not get this word out and rather than lead can it not subtly direct those that do lead towards the right direction.
Speaker: That's one model. Yes. And one outcome is that it doesn't need to be us. But if we can inspire all 12 kingdoms now, if we can alert them, then perhaps that is the ripple we have caused.
Speaker: But the other part of our agenda is what is the role of the dragons in this?
Speaker: Perhaps that is where we then steer our efforts. But yes, it is a favorable outcome. I worry about two kingdoms, given the information at the start of this meeting.
Speaker: I worry that Sleetguard and Shadowmend are heading in different directions. We might have some more information about that based on stuff that we learned couple of days ago now, especially since we've heard that last verse from Car Stand Ladd over there.
Speaker: um And the the Red Rook stands at this point. We have to hear that. Before we commit to a vote, what is this additional information?
Speaker: I've just put out there. that You might want Reigns back in here for that information.
Speaker: gnome stand? Gnome. okay When we had our Alpha and everyone dressed just as Alpha, when Alpha was being repaired by um ah well-known wizard in this city, it turns out that he has a memory ruining him of the Gartrants, the people who claim to rule Aerith.
Speaker: before there were 12 kingdoms or 11 kingdoms. There are some murmurs happening, whispers happening around at the mention of this. When we explored those memories, it turns out that this elvish woman who the memory was thought that Reigns was Urian Cardinal, who is known as a great deceiver and was in league with some demons.
Speaker: And then there was another name mentioned.
Speaker: This Tol Kelnon, who was the leader of the demons, who was also working with someone who was called Leopold Sleetgaard.
Speaker: Now she sounded like this came from a long time ago. yo She said that when the throne and house falls, there it falls.
Speaker: Reint, his grandfather seems to have been doing something in Shadowmend before it was Shadowmen, before Aerith was split up to bring down the Gartrans and
Speaker: cause things to start to go in one direction. Maybe that's the link with Shadowmend and Goldview.
Speaker: But these demons have been active before and were working with Urian and whoever this Sebastian sleek li Leopold was. There was a slight wince in the room when you missed... That was Will rather than Emron. Okay, fine.
Speaker: Handy. There's a couple of people that are i rigorously nodding here. And Sebastian says, the people frozen in time.
Speaker: Gartrans?
Speaker: Maybe. I mean, and everyone gestures to Alpha. She said that she was of the Gartrans and I'm not gonna lie, when she was speaking, she talked about people like ah Lido not being a god. She talked about a time long before this, but also not quite sure that whoever they are totally align with the freedoms that Aerith now explores.
Speaker: So we were right in our predictions then.
Speaker: Alpha is at the heart of this. Somehow. Somehow. What is it? um Alpha, care to elaborate on this?
Speaker: It did have to all happen to you. You literally lived it.
Speaker: I don't believe it was me that may be at the heart of this, but more so the garden that my memory room once held.
Speaker: I believe some way our fates are intertwined.
Speaker: There is one disturbing thing that I do... remember this person saying during our initial conversation, it was the fact that they had enslaved dragons and dragon kin.
Speaker: It reminded me of my first interaction with Ob Khrisgrer when using their own language. They too could
Speaker: to a lesser extent, tame and capture dragons.
Speaker: It may be a loose connection, i agree, but similarities between the Obkriska and the Gertrind start there, and possibly with more research could develop.
Speaker: Perhaps ideals have lived on, even though the people have not.
Speaker: Ghostwing says they're not the only civilization on Earth that enslaves dragons.
Speaker: You're of Shadow Men, I presume. They use them there.
Speaker: The relationship is different in each kingdom.
Speaker: But an interesting theory. Certainly this, and everyone looks towards Alpha, this was it. Emyon Alder? i am Alder.
Speaker: I am Alder. Gartron. She claimed that she was the last. She was being hunted down by Eurion. and All three leaders Wingwatch just look towards a cluster of about a dozen Wingwatch members and then look back at you and say,
Speaker: We'll research that. See what we can find out. Moonrise might be a good place to begin. Agreed.
Speaker: Just makes sense if Eurion made something to do with these demons. Shadamend. This Leopold. Goldview. I don't know. It's, again, just... So something connects creatures in the sky...
Speaker: To a kingdom. The creature's in hell. To a kingdom. And Alpha is in the middle of that game. Or Alpha's memory rune is.
Speaker: And the demons did try and take Alpha from us when we were in the desert. Indeed. Did anyone else?
Speaker: There was some UNT, they attacked us at the same time. I don't know whether it was just coincidence. Bald turns to Seth.
Speaker: and Oh, and there was... What about... And he kind of eyes the rest of the group as he's starting to make connections as well.
Speaker: There was some soldiers...
Speaker: from Sleetgaard, who bore the crest of Leopold of Sleetgaard.
Speaker: They tried to take Alpha as well.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So both sides of this prophecy want you, Alpha. By the sounds of this. Well, I'd rather not go anywhere at the moment. I think we'd rather that too.
Speaker: and but i think I think Leopold and the demons are working together. don't know about the mechanical things in the sky. But why would they not attack Goldview? Why would they attack every other kingdom except Goldview?
Speaker: Don't know. And why would the demons protect Shadow Men?
Speaker: ah It sounds like those are the important questions right now. So would it be savvy to say that we need two groups to go to each locale?
Speaker: Maybe we should just go to that disc in the sky, like the dreams have suggested. And then one looks at Drago. Some have tried. Some have tried in the dead of night.
Speaker: Some have tried in the light of day. None have returned. Are any of those people, myself or Drago or others, who have... for want of a better word, seen.
Speaker: What you're trying to say is people with strong religious connections. Yes. Some people have believed it to be an arc in the sky and entire centers of worship have ascended towards it and not returned.
Speaker: Not returned. But I mean the people being similar to the ones that have come down.
Speaker: I have seen multiple constructs. Have any been sent up? Beings like myself.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: Plus all those other people that went up weren't in the dreams.
Speaker: Dreams.
Speaker: Prophecies then. Let's circle back to this and we find out a little bit more. I don't want to send you up to your doom. Just... My last dream had me go through and I saw the buildings in there.
Speaker: Mine too. And everyone look the term says and one looks Drago. And we found the dwarf.
Speaker: There's four in this dream. Me, him, the dwarf. And Princess Helena's League card.
Speaker: Maybe we need to go together. That was what I was thinking. And everyone looks towards Baal. In my visions, he's also there. And everyone points towards Baal.
Speaker: Let's see.
Speaker: Coastwing steps back. If I may. Maybe this is something we know we need to walk towards then. But let's find out more information first.
Speaker: By show of hand, to return to the task, those of you who agree to let Karsthan's verse be sung in every tavern,
Speaker: In Aerith.
Speaker: Raise your hand. Emron, hand straight up. Seth's hand straight up. Still Quillenhand confused.
Speaker: Baal's hand hesitant, but eventually rises to.
Speaker: Lose against. No, no, no. ah at Nix is watching what Carsten does. Carsten raises his hand. Who's the first up? soon as his name was mentioned, it was up. Yeah, then Nix will raise his hand, being as Carsten's the one who delivered said speech and probably knows more about the detail.
Speaker: In Nix's mind, knows more about the details of it than anyone.
Speaker: Alpha? What are you looking at?
Speaker: Alpha's just not raising a hand.
Speaker: Their next call is those against.
Speaker: Now I'll for a reason. Oh, damn.
Speaker: By majority vote,
Speaker: the song will be sung.
Speaker: Now,
Speaker: it won't be sung immediately.
Speaker: When the rest of the winged watch gather at the end of the month, we'll say this is where we're leaning.
Speaker: It gives us two more weeks to review any additional information that might want to revise that decision, but we voted nonetheless.
Speaker: I'll see you all back here in two weeks time, but before I do, I have a number of appointments that need filling.
Speaker: objectives that I need you all to go on.
Speaker: Alpha, I'm going to give you and your party the first choice because I think it's important to think about where you are placed within this and I do not want to separate you from your friends, from your families.
Speaker: You have already taken reins out of the room. Oh, snap! think we'll all understand why that has to be in a moment.
Speaker: As we see it, I'd like us all to be able to report back on the following items in two weeks' time.
Speaker: One, I'd like to send a party to the site where the object from the sky fell in this kingdom. For now we're calling it an anchor to whatever it is in the sky.
Speaker: It's about 10 miles south of the city. You'll have to wade through quite a lot of Upchrskra and whatever else that thing has erupted. It's not a long journey, but we have no understanding of what you're going to face or what state the Upchrskra will be in.
Speaker: Second, the Ibukwiskra have emptied from this city largely. There are a few dozen that remain, the rest charged.
Speaker: Their garrison is near empty.
Speaker: This will be the only chance we have for a very long time to get inside there quietly and see what we can discover.
Speaker: Next, we have an agent who hasn't reported who was supposed to be at this meeting that we heard from six hours ago, to hold up east in the vicinity of Beach Barrow Port, monitoring of CRISPR activity.
Speaker: It is where the largest collection of eggs gathered most recently before being shipped into the sea.
Speaker: ah To take thoughts on that.
Speaker: I want to see if I can get a clear image of the person they're thinking of.
Speaker: I told you Nick's was waiting on the edge. Okay, so do you need to do the delve deeper to get an image, or is it just... It's surface thoughts, but if if nothing comes up... And I'm going to ah twin this... Not twin, this is the wrong word, because that's a fucking thing. I'm going to use subtle spell to cast this.
Speaker: So I'm going to bomb a sorcery point. ah sort a source to his point sorry smart i'm going to use
Speaker: To cast it without any verbal, somatic or material components. So Nyx is going to do this like stealthy as, um and he's just going to brush the mind of... It's Ghostwing that's saying this, isn't it? yeah ah So...
Speaker: Let me just... ah Sorry about this. it was I was listening, and as soon as I heard it I was like, I want to know. The agent hasn't reported back yet. Yeah, you've got it. ah you said As soon as you said to the sea I just want to get a read. So target one creature you can see within 30 feet. of above but You learn what is most on the target's mind right now. If the target doesn't know any language, it's in the step eight.
Speaker: ah So I get that regardless. And Ghostwing won't know about that. It depends on how much I get from that will depend if I push. Okay. and Well, you're doing a lot of heavy lifting this episode, and I really appreciate you being awesome.
Speaker: and And it wouldn't be fitting for me to describe this, but could you describe to Nix what he's seeing um by explaining to me what McBenner looks like? Yeah. Fuck yeah!
Speaker: Best detectors ever! So, McBenner, to your eyes, is this old, um very grizzled, he's got very leathery, um very leather-looking skin, because he's been outside a lot, and um his clothes up very, very patched, and Yeah, he looks old. Like, you look at him and go Jesus Christ, why is that guy still doing? Like, he should be sat somewhere with a blanket over his knees, just chilling out.
Speaker: But apparently he has this... Of everything, it's his eyes that seem to... um that seemed to be the most life. And you do notice that he does have this really nice, like ah fur coat underneath his jacket that looks like it's made out of some kind of think tiger skin, maybe. And he's got some teeth on a necklace around his around his neck. um Is he carrying a lantern?
Speaker: Thank you. I don't need to push deeper. That's like okay. That was fantastic. The moment that that assignment is read, Alpha, yeah you notice that the gnome next to you bolts upright and walks towards the center of the room and just looks with confusion at and concern at Ghostwing but doesn't say anything.
Speaker: Next, Ghostwing announces... We're having really concerning reports that one of Fizzlebang's leashes has failed as a result of this attack between the border of Sleekard and Dralak.
Speaker: Orcs in that region are becoming, well, are now completely uncontrolled and feral.
Speaker: We're losing road access back to Goldview. Everyone is. We're being cut off.
Speaker: And lastly, there's been a report of multiple demon gates opening inside the sandstorms on the Western Road back towards Snake Run.
Speaker: And they're coming out of it in sizable numbers.
Speaker: the party in front of me and is looking at you five to the anchor into the Chris Craig Harrison here in the city to beach barrel port to the sleet guard border or to the sandstorms West.
Speaker: Where would you like to go?
Speaker: I'd say to this beach barrel place or to all face these demons. Seth starts nodding vociferously at the second one over and over and over again and gets his pen and starts to write um ah to the gates.
Speaker: on the page Your ink fades as you're writing it. He looks really frustrated, like, oh and then taps, nicks on the arm and tries to write it again.
Speaker: and I imagine it does exactly the same thing again. Yeah. you're it's You're unable to finish a letter by the time that letter has disappeared. Is it like um like ah like trying to ink on wax or something like that, where it just it doesn't say? Picture Tom Riddle's diary. Yeah! it's being absorbed just super quickly into the page you've got voldemort in that book man me okay uh nick's seeing your absolute frustration of this will just reconnect our minds so you you've got an open pathway
Speaker: like v nix Just tell them all that it's we we need to go to the... Oh, Clellius Crimson! The Great Harvest! Thanks you for your continuous service! Back towards the desert in to get to the demons, alright? That's where we... What was that?
Speaker: Why did that voice? That wasn't me. I thought that was you. that That was definitely you. i was talking about the demon gate and you were giving me that blank face that you're doing now and you did that... No! What?
Speaker: Now's not the time for jokes, Nick. I'm not joking.
Speaker: I'm on edge. That was, that was not me. Seth, I'm on the level here. You guys know everything about me. ah That was, that was not me. ah he's he's flustered and he just kind of outwardly, his hands go up and down. and He shakes his head and then says in, again, in your mind, just, just tell them that I agree. we I agree with him on the gates, the the demons in the desert, back to, back to snake run. And he looks down, looks at his hands and they're shaking.
Speaker: Sure. Nick's listed little bit whiter in his bluish features there as he's, he's come, he's gotten used to that connection. And and that was weird. Uh,
Speaker: And Nyx will reply ah with what Seth said.
Speaker: And then Nyx, Alpha, Bart?
Speaker: I'm one for the majority in this weather crew, if I'm i'm allowed in. um have an additional question.
Speaker: yes I was going to say, you see moon eyes towards you there, ah Emron. Emron, he's not quite... The only reason he's having to pay attention is because you're speaking for Seth. And it's probably irking him that he's having to listen to you a little bit. um These demon gates, are we ah we to find out what they're doing or to try and close them?
Speaker: Because closing them, that's a big job.
Speaker: I wouldn't tell a candle maker how to make candles. I'm not going to tell you what to do in a situation when you see it. Okay. Just come back.
Speaker: Please. Okay. We need that information. I know that's a popular one, but I know that the port will probably be popular with others. And everyone looks straight about. Lots of eyes now are on you.
Speaker: That's fine. I'll kind of look around the group that he's with as well.
Speaker: I've put me ahead for far too long.
Speaker: One of our options is to get a closer look at what's come down from above.
Speaker: I don't speak for all of us, but I'm pretty sure... we would fuck up an infiltration. We would get it so horribly wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I mean, you're the noisiest fucker about, and he's kind of looking at Alpha at this, and then glances across to Emron as well.
Speaker: Our skills are not in stealth. Oh, I totally agree with you. Totally agree with you. 100%. But I'm hearing two people going for... the Demon Road?
Speaker: Demon Gate? Fuck some demons. I mean, given that the Winged Watch are lower numbers, surely rescuing maybe one of their party is a good idea.
Speaker: They're lower members as it is.
Speaker: And they'll only get lower with demons patrolling. Oh, yeah.
Speaker: Alpha, what's your decision?
Speaker: I must say, I... I am leaning more towards the wild orcs that seem to be roaming and causing havoc to people.
Speaker: Seth's going to roll his eyes. Nix will roll his eyes. Go back to the kids' table, Callum. Go back to the kids' table.
Speaker: Seth's going to say to Nix, has anybody got an army of goblins? You've got an army of goblins.
Speaker: You've got an army of goblins. He's got an army of goblins. The whole room just doesn't. Yes, I do have an army of goblins. He allegedly has an army of goblins. He's tried to talk to them.
Speaker: They didn't do much. I've been trying to ah lead them towards some kind of self-sufficiency, free will, and peaceful lifestyle. But my lack of communication is sending it down the pan. But ah never mind.
Speaker: Couldn't you just tell them to come south and kill orcs? Seth, are you speaking? Yeah, a word for word. I am his mouth puppet. Ventriloquist dummy.
Speaker: Not a bad idea, Nix. Seth. Not a bad idea, Seth. My apologies. Seth, thumbs up.
Speaker: I suppose I could... it Oh, no, we we do have Orla around here. I'm assuming she will be going back to Goldport Keep. I could give her a message.
Speaker: Oh, I suppose the trouble is, Alpha, if I'm reading this correctly, it's the route west is in danger in the first place. So Aula's not going to easily be able to return without that route being cleared up.
Speaker: Which is the route that the orcs are causing chaos on, is that correct? yo Well, again, did we pass one of these... these The tower. The tower. Is that right?
Speaker: That fucking tower. He'll turn back to, yeah. And Nick's eyes are wide. he just remembers. Yeah, but I will turn to Ghostwing and just say, is this ah this leash, this tower, is it on the way to Snake Run?
Speaker: Ugh. Eh. Ish, no. It's more on the border ah closer to the sea. and Right. that ah there are lots of them?
Speaker: Yeah, there's annoyingly about nine of them.
Speaker: they i get it. ah Seth's going to have stood up during that bit and wander over to
Speaker: ah whoever looks the most important and the most available to conversation at the moment. ah No, he's going to go to drug. Sparrowhawk would be the closest to you at this point. Okay. I'll go to Sparrowhawk and he's just going to point to the door and do like a hmm.
Speaker: Like, has he paid his hmm? Point to the door. Open. Hmm.
Speaker: Been in time out long enough. Roll inside. Sparrowhawk's just going to lean in and say...
Speaker: He's lucky he's still alive.
Speaker: And then you're going to hear in your head, Seth, Sparrowhawk's voice. he's just his His hands just glow blue for a second.
Speaker: There are people in this room I do not trust.
Speaker: And if they found out my actual identity,
Speaker: Sleekard will fall.
Speaker: Seth up to this point has had almost, not a jovial, but a nonchalant expression on his face the whole meeting, disenfranchised with the organisation, what's happening, detached. But this grounds him.
Speaker: And his face drops into the kind of soldierly expression. And he curtly nods. And without another expression, gesture, etc.,
Speaker: ah there's ah There's a glimmer probably in his eye that you'd see that he his eyes dart around trying to make connections to who it might be in that instant without moving his head.
Speaker: And then it does the deft. Kirk kind of click at the heels, nod to the head, and he's he's walking upright, straighter. He's taken to the authority and will walk back towards where he was and then start to feign his nonchalant attitude. But you can see Sparrow would see that he's his eyes are a light now and he's he's he's looking he has ah has a mission he has something to look for so he's he's looking around okay good question so nix was linked in on ah your man's mind there everyone's shaking my head but i'm looking at danny here fuck you all uh
Speaker: Is there any whiff of when Nix's connection is in there, does it get punched out? Yes, you sort of feel like you were dispelled. Cool. Okay. So Nix, although not... Sorry to interrupt. With that, Daniel, there's another you question, but it might help you, Nix.
Speaker: Is that different from... from A different feeling to Seth going, no, thank you. I don't want to talk to you anymore. As opposed to you've been pushed out of this conversation. Like you've been kicked as opposed to you've been blocked.
Speaker: It's like the phone just hung up between you two for a sec. That would be enough for me to look at that. Just as ah a brush of connections gone. and Then you would probably just clock that Sparrowhawk and Seth are about this far away from each other.
Speaker: Looking at each other dead in the eye. um can I roll a perception check on what I perceive from that conversation and then ah how Seth is afterwards?
Speaker: Because I don't want to burn another spell slot for detect thoughts. I don't think you'd need to roll a perception because they're they're literally just looking at each other, you know, about 10 centimeters apart. And then Seth walks away looking very militaristic once again, a bit like his older self. Yeah.
Speaker: Just going to... Sorry about this, Seth, because you're getting a lot of, like, in your mind. ah Just a knock on your door there. Just You okay?
Speaker: Yep. Is this you or that weird voice again? ah Me. And it was me before. We were talking about that one later on. There's a lot of not me in my head at the moment, and I'm not sure how I feel this. Everyone get out.
Speaker: I understand it and I do appreciate it. I can communicate better this way. My book is leaking. Did you see that? i ah Yes. And I see your frustration on um that and other things.
Speaker: This is my only method of really communicating. I haven't learned sign language yet or ah i have I have the um ah mono illusion, but it's like two words at a time and every six seconds that would be slow and monotonous, you know?
Speaker: I totally get you. and But you got me. So, like, literally, you can not a punch on me or something, and i will I will verbatim just be your mouth in a totally cool way.
Speaker: Bal will remember that. yeah You can't hear this! This isn't a three-way. So, because so much of this is happening telepathically, real time. So much! Yeah, real time, Bar's going to talk over the the top of it go, ah just, I know that you're voting for for demons, but haven't we just talked about the fact that demons are trying to get Alpha?
Speaker: This is my thinking. And going towards them... It would be risky, I agree. I mean, Alpha was voting for the bloody Orcs, you know. Alpha, you've got my vote. Orcs are not the ones that are after me.
Speaker: we We started this. so All of us have had the idea that i have I'm going folly again. Why am I fucking going folly again? He's ghost. Don't fuck Folly.
Speaker: that's Folly fucks you. He really does. i
Speaker: Like Tyrion Lannister. yeah
Speaker: The demons are after me. I am valuable in some way to some people. Many are after me. It seems illogical to...
Speaker: give myself unto their presence.
Speaker: But a field test nonetheless. Hmm. I mean... I'm sorry, field test?
Speaker: Nice. You would... like a magnet.
Speaker: So you are wanting to put me in danger? You bait in him! This is your choice. These are the things I need intelligence on. you have the first pick by thinking, my thinking, my rationale here is that you need to position yourself where you feel most comfortable. I'm not asking you to feel the most safest. It's it's what you feel you are able to do.
Speaker: Everyone looks to Alfred and Barl. Our journey began when we arrived to rescue some eggs and we didn't do a very good job. And we encountered a Krisker and that captain turned into that weird fucking spider thing.
Speaker: Maybe if we go and rescue this winged watch membrane where they're taking the eggs, we can perhaps draw a line under it, redeem ourselves and do some good for you and your people, Bal.
Speaker: You hear a low grumble coming from a gnome when you articulate that you want to go there.
Speaker: Which name? Drago. Okay. um um ah To be fair, I guess it could be Syngar.
Speaker: I need a decision. There are other parties here that need to choose. Perhaps, but there is still somebody who I believe is a member of our party who should weigh in. He too will be involved in whatever decision we make.
Speaker: You're right. Seth, what do you think? Seth nods and does like a, meh, and points to what Alpha said, ah to towards Alpha, and does a thumbs up. No, no, sorry. And then he swaps and points towards Emron and shakes his head and nods his head, and then does a thumbs up towards what Emron said. Yeah, yeah, thumbs up towards Emron.
Speaker: I am confused. Yeah, me too. what He does like a, oh, what, exacerbated. Points towards everyone. Seth says the egg thing. Nods. And rescuing the member. Hmm, looks odd.
Speaker: No. Well, okay, the egg thing mainly. Nods. It's when we met Seth, it's what we were doing at the start.
Speaker: I do suppose the eggs would be acceptable. Egg-ceptable. No, I'll do this as an eyebrow. Yeah.
Speaker: We've done a lot for you already, Barb, but that doesn't weigh into it, mate. This is not just for you. This is also for the Winged Watch. For Aerith. Possibly the future of Aerith, yes.
Speaker: I'm 100% in. I just didn't want to lead the way. Reigns will go along with us, whatever we decide. If... If I can interject.
Speaker: We don't... know if there are any eggs there at present. It's just where we've been monitoring activity. please don't go find some more Please don't go there thinking you're going to find some. It might not be the case. We don't know.
Speaker: But can least find out more information about what they've been doing with them. As far as we know, they get loaded onto to ships there. And they're taken somewhere else out of our sight.
Speaker: All we're doing there is tracking numbers. Numbers of up-kris-kro and numbers of eggs and anything else we see coming in or out. We get daily reports from every port in this kingdom.
Speaker: dash sort That report went silent six hours ago. You must have... like the bloke that's there, whoever he is, probably a very fine upstanding man, we should go help him.
Speaker: That's why it's one of the things I need doing. You must have... A list of priority of what you want doing first.
Speaker: Like, out of the list that you said, what would you do? What's the one that's on your mind? Like, that the first one, if I gave you all this, what's your mind saying?
Speaker: This is the problem, Nix.
Speaker: Is there isn't a singular objective. Well, fuck. There are pieces in each of these puzzles that we are connected. We just can't see it. And like we said, we just have to pull on one thread and more is discovered.
Speaker: Look at how much we've discovered in the past few days.
Speaker: And the jobs aren't just ours. I assume whatever we choose, the rest of you... This will all get done. i We're just giving you first choice because Alpha is important. You are all important.
Speaker: But Alpha should make this choice based on where they feel most comfortable.
Speaker: I do not believe that it is just my choice, though. It's not just your choice. You just are going first. Please, can you all just agree? Some of us have made it a choice, Alpha. I think you are the deciding vote here, mate.
Speaker: Or at least we want your opinion. I think we're three of us for going to save this person, so... I'm just for the majority.
Speaker: I believe saving a member of the winged, what you say, noble cause. I would be happy to take part in such a thing.
Speaker: There we go.
Speaker: Thank you.
Speaker: You're dismissed. We'll see you back here in two weeks' time.
Speaker: ah And Seth's going to quickly just point to to Nix and then point to his head, kind of subtly to the side of his head and kind of like a come here, come here the motion. Nix will follow and brush the mind connection.
Speaker: Sparehawk also had beelines for you in this moment you're being dismissed, Seth. Drago beelines for you, Emron. And they're very similar statements to say.
Speaker: Drago just points, pokes you really in the hip.
Speaker: You're coming back.
Speaker: Oh, I intend to. I mean, if the rest of your mates just die, you need to get back.
Speaker: ah Okay. but some I'll do what I can. I know you won't let them, but you need to come back.
Speaker: Okay. Okay. Do you know where, everyone just says, she is? Yes.
Speaker: As to all of us, she's in Goldview on the throne. Okay. And Bavrin went on board the ship that saved us last night, the other night. Right, so... He's the dwarf.
Speaker: He'll probably be around the docks then. Just worthless, the wing watch, maybe keeping an eye on him we looking after him. Yes.
Speaker: this member of the wing watch that you're going to go find is a friend of mine.
Speaker: Alright.
Speaker: Just if there's any way you can let me know he's safe when you get there.
Speaker: We haven't got any sending stones or anything like that. Just figure it out. Okay. Just let me know. Yep. We'll do what we can.
Speaker: then Seth Sparrowhawk just sort of intercepts this joining that you and Nyx are starting.
Speaker: It just takes you aside and says in your ear...
Speaker: Nyx is hearing this, by the way, because is he's in my mind. go
Speaker: Come back.
Speaker: Don't die out there.
Speaker: Seth's looking kind of over his shoulder, but nods curtly.
Speaker: Things are fucking tense.
Speaker: need everyone I can trust where I can see them.
Speaker: He nods again, looks him in the eye, hands on the shoulder, gives him squeeze and a knowing kind of, yep, and let's go. He walks away. You two, you are all free to go.
Speaker: there anything else people want to say? Everyone? um So many episodes ago, it was Sparrowhawk took the Halberd off Emron to look at.
Speaker: Emron wants to go get it off him. Does he still have it? or it's It's in Ghostwing's hand. He was bringing it back to you when he was talking about it in in the sort of opening address. So yeah, it's it's on the table. No one else is making a claim for it.
Speaker: Emron goes over to it, looks at it, aware of its origins, hefts it.
Speaker: got some work to do with you.
Speaker: And sort of walks away from the table to rejoin the others with the halberd now.
Speaker: Any more business before you depart? Yes. ah Seth would, after Sparrow walks away and he'd already kind of invited Nyx into his mind and then Nyx was kind of like ah I imagine like the actual Nyx was kind of stood awkwardly as a third wheel listening to that, but it's kind of metaphysical because there's a mind.
Speaker: And Nyx, Seth is very much aware of that um and kind of then says, Nyx, that was really awkward with you in my head, by the way. so It's super awkward. I thought you were having an important thing. And then and then it was lovely.
Speaker: ah Super good relationship there. I think that's really important for you. And I'm very happy for you too. But yeah, it was interesting. No, Nick's not like that. I mean, I don't know. That was weird. He's never spoken to me like that before.
Speaker: Something else is going on here. yeah so like he said the same thing to me in my mind when i first met him that he said his life was in danger and he couldn't trust those around him and that's why i was so confused i told you this earlier because ghost wing was all like in my mind and saying thanks for not telling him because like I don't know. I believe that him, you were the him. Like, thanks for not telling you.
Speaker: it just feels, I don't know. you know this place a lot. It was literally the first time.
Speaker: I'm so confused. I'm also very confused. Why can't people just say what they mean, Nix? You know, like when I say you're a cunt, it means you're a cunt. There's no confusion there.
Speaker: With this, yeah I think for not telling him. What the fuck is him? Who is this him? Nix. Nix, a name like a shadow draped in silk. It carries the weight of stars and whispers of things unseen.
Speaker: a name fit for the edge of dreams where the light fears to tread. It.
Speaker: ah ni Is Seth Sensen going to cut off the connection like forcefully? And he's going to give a very, very concerned furrowed brow towards... And Nix is just shaking his head. Hands up in the air, just shaking his head. He's not going to force a connection, but it's very clear, like...
Speaker: seth so Seth's looking back at you and walking away, um like over your shoulder, like trying to make sure, like, i don't you dare try and do your ninja shit on me again, you bitch. And I hook him over the shoulder. Don't you fucking do it. As he kind of edges towards the door and and and and to to to out to the sunlight, to something.
Speaker: Oh, my head is full. Nick puts his hands to his face and he's just like, there's so much going on in here right now.
Speaker: You departing? Where's Baal? yeah yeah bar's making his way out of the room i imagine damn leaving nix and seth kind of doing their staring at each other thing whilst they're talking in each other's minds and all kind of shrug and walk on and and walk out so reigns you've been waiting in the dark in this dark corridor maybe an hour You hear that door open once more.
Speaker: If he'd have been able to, Reigns is gone. Okay. And as they come out, they'll pass a copper coin on the floor. And the spell magic mouth will just activate on it.
Speaker: And it will just say in Reigns' voice, I don't understand why these people don't trust each other. I'm not made for this. know what I was born for.
Speaker: I'm going home. look after Alpha, and the coin cuts off.
Speaker: And that's where we'll end this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Table. Son of a bitch! What a sweat! Such a strong ending. Those strong odds.
Speaker: Oh! Oh! don't a single dice, and I feel amazing.
Speaker: Fuck me. wow That just fucked up the entirety of what was planned now. i Not really. We're still going. all you?
Speaker: Bye. We can intercept him. yeah He's got an hour head start. so its I just have to go straight. to and i'm not going to say I'm not going to say it. yeah I know where exactly he's going.
Speaker: I'm Rain Taddo.
Speaker: okay fli oh hey i well wow oh what a cliffhanger that is to end how long did you sit on that what's that i decided about halfway through that there's a mixture of shame anger and just frustration that he's just decided and and also learning a lot about home yeah i've made a decision about halfway through Don't feel like you need to explain it because i don't want to ruin any... It's going to take him ages to get to... It's going to take him half a year. That was such a ah sick way to end it. Right, okay. um
