Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah, I'm very happy to be back to this. And then, you know, just one week here and then we go to the i best competition for my money in the world. So that's what I'd save my money for rather than international.

Jarrod Dyke: We are doing, um, super brew for champions cup as well. So just keep your eyes peeled for that. Uh, in case you're, don't pay attention to the chat. Um, like some people for, Hey, listen, I have, i I, muted it for a little bit.

Jarrod Dyke: Um, So in Champions League for Super Brew Prem, Alex is leading the way right now, and yours truly is holding up the bottom, although he did not get the last wooden spoon.
Jarrod Dyke: So I did not get the last wooden spoon. um So that's the upside of the start of the start of that.
Grumpy Old Prop: Neither did I, because I went i went up a ah spot in the last round.

Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. And then the person that I'm chasing, trying to chase right down is Matt K in the in that bottom in that bottom bottom half there.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Lucky you. and For draft 15, things aren't a whole lot better for me there.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: um the The red league, it looks like George, Alex, ah
Jarrod Dyke: Duncan, I don't remember who Proptimus is exactly, Barty, you myself, Justin, and Matt Kay. um Yeah, and it's, I mean, it's significantly notable how the difference between top to bottom, top has got four wins, bottom's got one. So it's it's it a decent golf right now, considering we've only had like six weeks.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. And what was it for us? It's kind of similar. We have two guys with, with four, two with three, and then three with two and one with zero. That would be Rob. Um, so it's Stu and Colin at the top.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, Paul, Mark and Matt T. Um, tied. Oh no, I'm sorry. Paul and and Mark tied with three and then Matt T and myself and Franco with two wins a piece.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, I'm hoping, I'm hoping the, uh,
Jarrod Dyke: Thank you.
Grumpy Old Prop: I have had several Lions and I'm hoping that they sort their shit out and start playing and and Slide Home gets healthy. And I'm actually pretty excited about my team. if Especially if Malin fucking pulls his head out.

Jarrod Dyke: I skip right to my most, both format starts to Quirk and Ford and then Robach, Carpenter and Reed. Format dependent are guys like Cowan Dickey, Bamber, basically anybody in the back row and Mossy White, um Gus War, Toma Flaherty.

Jarrod Dyke: Those are guys you just don't want to play. um For traveling shitheads, um skip over the, pretty much the whole of the front row in terms of Guys, you can start in both leagues.
Jarrod Dyke: Go right to Zambonin. Yep, please. I like him, the Italian. Fisilow, fine. Vincent's hurt, so he's so i won't I wouldn't expect to see him. He would be another name I'd throw in there.

Jarrod Dyke: format dependent guys are guys like Dweba there's your front rower or your only front rower I would even touch for Exeter Hooper Varney ah I'm gonna say Skinner for draft because he's actually found ways to score despite the fact he doesn't kick Josh Hodge yes and then yeah props lock centers that aren't those guys toss them don't even and I wouldn't even try and intermittent to your team

Grumpy Old Prop: um So I have the second game, which really there's only one team to talk about. this So this Newcastle versus Leicester. If you have any Newcastle on your team.
Grumpy Old Prop: Okay.
Jarrod Dyke: Better be like Mafia and that's about it.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah. Mafia is about it. And that's about it. There's really not much to speak of there at the moment. um For Leicester on the other side. Well, yeah, you've got players at pretty much every you position that you might want to take a look at this week. um You know, obviously format dependent. Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: for for draft yeah if you if you have draft if you have a ah lester player on your team and they're playing unless you've got someone great give them a shot because they could get over um but you know this could be a breakout for the returning bloom iron potentially um but we've been waiting on that for a little bit um nicky nicky smith's sure to have a quality game and he's he's pretty uh cheap and might be available at that prop if you don't have one of them on your team um and then you've got

Grumpy Old Prop: is just some hurt. Um, or, or, or, um, and Martin, like, I don't know.
Jarrod Dyke: bit. I assume as much.
Grumpy Old Prop: I'm not sure where these guys are, but those, you know, if either are available, um, yes, go for it. Um, Eliana. Yes. Moreau, uh, internally in draft, um, could be a a quality play here.
Grumpy Old Prop: Van Port Vliet. Yes. Um, this is maybe Orlando Bailey, Sandra shine. ah we're all We've all been waiting for that. um And then the centers, you know, Kata could have a pretty strong game. and then But the the the wings, you know, Radwan coming home, Hassell Collins, yes, go for it.
Jarrod Dyke: All right. Gloucester and Quinns. So for Gloucester, not unlike, um, ah You know, I want to save for Sogbon, but even that's not one ah I would look at. I might look at him for matchup dependent.
Jarrod Dyke: so But skipping over the front row, for the most part, for Gloucester, going to Alamano as a play in both formats right now.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: Thomas Williams, yes. ah They have a few centers that are worth note. Seb Atkinson, Quellen, Will Joseph, assuming heat and he's healthy. Yep. I like...
Jarrod Dyke: He didn't get a ton of run, but i still like Redshaw. So give him another shot.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: If, you know, especially if you're in draft, be patient with him. i think it'll, I think it'll work out. um Maybe we'll see a Josh Hathaway signing at some point here. but um And then format dependent guys, as I mentioned, facade bond, Freddie Thomas, pretty much the whole of the back row, back row, James Venter and Basham being the ones that I, can think of off the top of my head.
Jarrod Dyke: And then, um yeah, like front row, Ross Byrne, some of the wings, meh.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: Format dependent at best, but definitely not the front row of Ross Byrne. I would throw ah either one of them out.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: Shit, I think I might pay play Charlie Atkinson over Ross Byrne right now, because he at least is going to run.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: um
Jarrod Dyke: Quinn's Finn Baxter is okay. George Turner, if he starts, yes, he's actually scored pretty well for the most part, even off the bench. Um, petty, uh, yep.
Jarrod Dyke: Both formats, Kenny Evans. Yes. Marcus. Yes. Green, Murley, Iscro. Yep. Uh, format dependent guys are guys like Don Brandt, Porter, Beard.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, and then basically anybody else here, you're going bench like, you know, Jack Walker, any any of the props, not named Finn Baxter.
Grumpy Old Prop: All
Jarrod Dyke: midfielders that aren't Oscar Beard, yet and so forth. Kick them away.
Grumpy Old Prop: right. Off to Ashton Gate, where I assume that's where the game is being played. I'm not sure they're playing this any play special. so um And I didn't look. So that's why I'm hesitant to definitively say that. I don't know why they would.
Grumpy Old Prop: Bristol versus Northampton.
Grumpy Old Prop: there's a lot this target rich environment here. Um,
Jarrod Dyke: I think so too.
Grumpy Old Prop: for Bristol, the, obviously the you've, you've, I'm Genge was likely to be playing in this one. Um, again, get them ready for, for champions cup, whoever's at hooker, I'm guessing it'll be all gray.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, go for it. Batley is, is doing well, actually. And so I think pretty sure James Dunn is doing well. Again, that's just from me pouring over a couple of of stats.
Jarrod Dyke: think so too
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, consider, consider having a go at him. Um, and then Mata and and that, um, that back row and Harding has been quality to, um, these guys, especially if you've got them in draft, go for it. Don't, don't even think twice.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, then it's kind of where it breaks down because, um, of all the injuries at halfback.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: So, um, do you want to play Tom Jordan?
Jarrod Dyke: Mm.
Grumpy Old Prop: Maybe, um, yeah, that's true.
Jarrod Dyke: Midfielder and draft. Should be worse.
Grumpy Old Prop: Um, So that's a possibility. But then, you know, everybody outside of him, though, is still quality. You still have, you know, Reese Ammon out there. You still have got Ben Harden, Sven Rendsburg, who could be be running through some motherfuckers out there.
Grumpy Old Prop: um They got the guys. So, you know, don't don't sleep on them. But at the same time, I wouldn't invest heavily in Bristol right now. The Saints, on the other hand, I'm buying, um you know, especially Kohl's.
Jarrod Dyke: Not yet.
Grumpy Old Prop: um whoever is going to be in that back row. I'm sure Pollock is is licking his lips to get to back to the the prem. After a little bit of taste at the international level, it's goingnna be he's going to have even more fun.
Grumpy Old Prop: um And then um you know Mitchell or James or whoever they're putting out there nine. Although at nine although probably want to you know You probably want Mitchell.
Grumpy Old Prop: You don't want to have to be, you know, this is the one week you can change get everybody. Don't go nuts on the change lineups. Make sure you're behind guys who will play normally because then you're going be back limited in in in Super Brew.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: Finn Smith will do well. Bristol's defense are not that great. and he's go He should have a day, um both running and kicking. And then it depends on who's out there, you know, outside of him. but um um'm I'm hoping Slideholme's back, so take a long look at him. um Hendy at fullback has been fucking lightning. Obviously, Todaro.
Grumpy Old Prop: um And if Fincith's not playing, then Bilow has been a little bit of good himself, too. So, yeah, it's, it's like I said, target-rich environment here. But I would lean towards Saints players, certainly, it is short and long term.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. All right. Sarah since in bath, lots of names to go through here. Some for good, some for bad for series props.
Jarrod Dyke: so You're looking at Maui and carry either hookers fine. Dan or George, ato j the Theo Mack is a lock in one of the formats of camera, which one.
Jarrod Dyke: So that's a definite play for me if he's in there, cause he's probably playing back row.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: um Tom Willis, Ben Earl, Gonzo, Anyama Christie, yep, yep, yep. Charlie Bracken at nine right now is actually a decent play, I'm pretty sure, at least certainly for draft, but i think he's someone you can roll with both.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: And then I'm probably looking to skip all the way to, you know, if Noah Kalori is still a thing, yeah, that.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: um Other guys, are we're going to probably go format-dependent. format dependent Richie, yeah maybe. I love the way he's playing, but i'm not sure he's that great on that. um Tiz, the sequel, format dependent, Charlie Bracken, or Jack Bracken, excuse me.
Jarrod Dyke: um Yeah, sorry. I had Jack Bracken down before, and I thought switched it. Damn kids. Jack Bracken's actually been good for both formats, so so you go ahead and play him.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: think he's a center in one of them, and he's been playing wings, so thumbs up there. Charlie Bracken at nine. Draft only. There we go. Now we're now we're in business. He's good. First, Burke's actually been serviceable in draft right now.
Jarrod Dyke: So you can go ahead and look at that. Tomo, yep. Farrell, yep. draft Especially in draft. Wings and back three, I say format dependent only because they haven't been consistently picking these guys.
Jarrod Dyke: Like they've, guys get a couple weeks of running and they get moved around. You know, that's kind of where it's been right now.
Grumpy Old Prop: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Jarrod Dyke: So I'm just really hesitant to go buy one. if I don't already have one in Super Brew. So that's why I'm just kind of going, maybe I pick one up off the, off the waiver wire for my draft team and see what happens.
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, so there's that, um, Vansail, Malens, both of them pine, um, for the bath men, uh, Obano. Yep. Done or frost. Yep. Go ahead. Uh, Dutra. Yep.
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, Then we can skip right on to the back row with the likes of Bayless and Reed. Yes, yes. And then you're looking at Finn Russell, Lawrence, Henry Arendelle. Those are all guys I would play regardless of format. And then we get into the format-dependent guys like Barbary, Underhill, Katsia if he's healthy, Spencer, Redpath, Ajomo, Koka. He's starting to lean into the not-so-dependable territory soon here. Santi Carreras. And people still like Charlie Ewells, and I don't understand why.
Jarrod Dyke: like Like, no lock at Bath is probably worth a thing right now. Just, you know, hasn't been for a while.
Grumpy Old Prop: Right. Especially because they're for like a fan of the, um,
Jarrod Dyke: So just...
Grumpy Old Prop: what was it, salary cap lineup where you you're you're team limited. Don't waste a block with Bath. There's so many other players you need.
Grumpy Old Prop: so there.
Jarrod Dyke: Yep, absolutely.

Grumpy Old Prop: No two dubs. It's funny, both of them, I was looking around and it's hard to Sort out a who to who would be your start of the week and who would be your sit of the week, but just looking at the two matchups that I had.
Grumpy Old Prop: um It's funny that I found them both in mind.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: So my start of the week. Obviously you're going to look towards that Newcastle game as as ah a place to find a start of the week.
Jarrod Dyke: Mm-hmm.
Grumpy Old Prop: It just seems like them are Gloucester or your are your good targets. So I'm going to go with, you know, not the returning, um ah you know, native son of of Newcastle, but Ollie Hassel Collins on the other side.
Grumpy Old Prop: i think he's going to have a big day. Not that Radwin's not goingnna have a big day, but I also feel like Newcastle are going be dicks and try to do whatever they can to make sure Radwin doesn't have a big day, which will open it up for Hassel Collins.
Jarrod Dyke: Oh, I see. Yeah. Yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: ah Right. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I would be that one. Uh, so I'm going same game. Love this guy a lot. I hope I'm hoping that they stick him in the lineup because if he does, he usually is bad news for any team that he's going against, especially a leaky defense. Um, I'm going to go Isaiah Parise from Tigers.
Grumpy Old Prop: also a solid option for sit of the week I'm going with the other game that I had Bristol versus Northampton again someone that you're gonna like you're gonna be tempted because Bristol have that that leaky defense um I don't think this is a game for him though so um you're go you' like gonna want to be tempted by him but don't start Kalamchick
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah.

Grumpy Old Prop: I like you know like the guy. This isn't just just isn't his... he's He's very much more of the the physical player, and this is going to take a a finesse hand.
Jarrod Dyke: yeah i think so too So I haven't had my turn on benching this guy yet, and he's just been he's been good for his team. He's not been good for those that picked him in fantasy. My set of the week is going to be Max Malens.
Grumpy Old Prop: Yeah.

Jarrod Dyke: We you will do um both hopefully Patreon stuff on Friday, but also our start set sheet on Friday as well. ah Also, keep your eyes peeled.
Jarrod Dyke: I will post up. well I'll open up the the official pod league for Champions Cup sometime this week. And then if you're, again, if you're in Champions League, that's where we're playing at this year because there is another option.
Jarrod Dyke: So there's another option. Please tell me. I would be curious to know at least, even if we don't go with it right away.

Jarrod Dyke: But I'd be curious to know. So there's that. But look forward to getting back into the prem this week and having some more fantasy fun since, you know, people decide to be dicks and not do not do it for the autumn.
