Jarrod Dyke: Hey everybody, welcome back. It is the Fancy Rugby Yanks. My name is Jared Dyke. Um, No Ben again. this is mostly just me spitballing about the new stuff that's coming into the prem for all you folks that are doing this thing called fantasy rugby.
Jarrod Dyke: If you're new to the party, welcome. We appreciate it that you've stopped by. um But yeah, I just wanted to do a quick book babble on for about 15 -ish minutes about.
Jarrod Dyke: the new especially the new guys that are into the prem. And whether or not I think they have value and who I think has the most value depending on what you're talking about, yeah and so forth. Anywho, so let's talk about the new kids on the block because that's gonna be the big thing that people want to talk about Um, going kind of position by position. um up front. First of all, In draft.
Jarrod Dyke: With exception. most props. that have a pulse and are healthy. are viable. in draft 15. um I know they were trying to tweak the scoring a little bit to help.
Jarrod Dyke: that out in terms of whether or not a prop was valuable, but... I can tell you for... Maybe not. Hard, solid fact, but... for if from my experience.
Jarrod Dyke: With exception like Alice Genge. um Just get he kind of kind of has his time bevan rod same thing Um, A poke for Jorah when he's healthy and he plays, but again.
Jarrod Dyke: So that's the exception, not the rule. With that... There are a couple of interesting ones coming into the league this year. Um, The big ones for me are Harry Johnson Holmes coming in from Australia, Western Forge.
Jarrod Dyke: was A decent option. on Superbrew. in Super Rugby now. I don't know. how good that's going to translate to draft. But so but that is something to keep in mind for maybe Superbrew.
Jarrod Dyke: Apart from... a couple Quinn's backs. Maybe Will Evans, maybe Jack Kenningham and Marcus Smith. Um, Obviously Smith falls into that back category I don't know how many. quinn's forwards you're going to want to pick but also remember you have a limited number of Picks in Subaru, so just keep that in mind for Subaru For draft doesn't matter how how many players you could have the whole Northampton Saints team if you wanted.
Jarrod Dyke: that's ah that's ah That's a risk, but it's there. Um, But in any case, yes, Harry Johnson Holmes might be a good shout for prop up front and there may be some coming out of nowhere that we don't necessarily know As well, there's always those wild cards And Macavuna Polo returns.
Jarrod Dyke: Again, can't scrimmage worth a damn if you didn't hear. Paul and I's podcast the other day. Then, yeah. You'll know that. If you had did, you know that I don't believe Mako can scrim worth a shit, and that was even when he was a Saracen, and I'm a Saracen guy, so...
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, By the way, I'm recording this a little late to the party, I know. I've had technical issues issues with my podcasting site so it's been annoying as hell i'm still trying to get the first episode up that. I recorded the other day, but hopefully this is up.

Jarrod Dyke: Coming in from... The Drewa and... and do we like coming in from from Wales from Ospreys, I believe. Uh, Those are... Those are the real notable new guys on the block for hook I'd say both will be good. Um,
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, So I think both have throwing issues, but they also are both monsters in the loose so Yeah, you might have to take the bad on that one But so i'd say those are both you know guys I don't be notable although I think Talking of Thomas, can I be a minute? I think he's...
Jarrod Dyke: playing in pc right now maybe i'm wrong or maybe he's just on duty with fiji But either way, he might be a minute. So just. temper those expectations and george turner made the hop over to up to newcastle from Quinn's that's not a new guy, but it's just a new place for the For the face, that's all.
Jarrod Dyke: Second row. Um... We got Klein. We have Joyce joyce over at Gloucester. Those are... Those are two on the king. has returned as somewhat a few of us will put it um elliot stuke returns He was usually a damn good go -to.
Jarrod Dyke: Also, Twima, I think is listed as a lock in. Um... Superbrew, but not draft. Sorry, draft. I keep i don't keep...
Jarrod Dyke: I mean to keep calling it that. He is a second row in super brew i that i can definitely confirm

Jarrod Dyke: Not a new face in the league, but he's obviously. Um, made moves. Um,
Jarrod Dyke: I think that's it. Yeah, that's it for outright. new slash returning guys to the league. Franco Molina is another one coming into the... That's another one going into Newcastle.
Jarrod Dyke: Will be interesting. He's currently on puma's duty, but We'll be back soon, I imagine. Oh, another hooker that was... I did not mention, geez, Lester, you're just jumping out. You just. Surprising me a little by Sam Moley from Moana, Pacifica He was pretty quality for them scoring wise, had his moments.
Jarrod Dyke: Might be someone just worth. thrown in there. I would imagine if you're going to... Draft. almayer and you want to draft a backup. That will almost guarantee you, it is almost, almost guarantee you.
Jarrod Dyke: or starter or at least someone on the bench every week for at hook for a draft Not about termination, honestly. Not quite up there with... Uh...
Jarrod Dyke: the Bristol guys, but Could be. could. Could come good and could prove me wrong very very easily. Back row. So there's... four that i could really that there's a lot to note there's four that are really really want to note.
Jarrod Dyke: And. i I fully intend on asking George. So George, if you listen to this. or if i don't have if I have it up in time. um
Jarrod Dyke: Four four guys that I really want to that I would really focus on in terms of the new guys that have come in Aaron Wainwright. Tigers. Jack Morgan. And... um
Jarrod Dyke: Can't get out of from from the sharks and then Why am I spacing on this last one? um The Hoskins to Tutu. for for the Red Bulls.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, I feel like fantasy wise, you're probably looking at. They'll probably rank somewhere something like Wayne writes a 2 -2.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, Jack Morgan. and kind ki aboutda but I could be wrong and there's obviously others that could. totally jumped them in terms of the newcomers. But that's kind of where I'm looking in terms of that.
Jarrod Dyke: But yeah, I think Elliot kind of about it is very interesting coming over from another one coming over from the drew That'll be... That'll be fun. All right. I think that's good to know. And then, yes, Laws is back, but Laws was not fantasy viable.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, Maybe in draft formats, but definitely not in super rude formats. just Throwing that guy out there Scrumhaft. Got Dan Robson coming back to the prem for our...

Jarrod Dyke: Oh, and then Xavier Rowe going to... lester that's really it for Incomings at scrum half in terms of coming into the league. Uh... Nope, that's it. That's it. so Man.
Jarrod Dyke: row is not row is not anything like ratama or as i mentioned um when i was talking when paul and i were discussing this um Brad Weber.
Jarrod Dyke: Because they are. Those two are are much more similar than row is to them now row is still a good scrum half and we're probably still Do a little bit better. in open space.
Jarrod Dyke: then... Well... Sharks are used to playing, but maybe they open it up a little bit. I don't know. I'm not i'm not in that coaching room. so We'll see. Um...

Jarrod Dyke: I think I think. Yeah. they the this the site that i'm looking at list lang as a fly james lang is a fly half i don't agree Peace. a better midfielder than anything so That's it for that, so that's not not not much to pick on on that one.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, in terms of names maybe someone makes ah makes themselves a new name this year we'll see Midfielders have quite a bit. Dallas McLeod's coming up from Crusaders. That'll be interesting. but he's still on NPC duty as far as I understand. Maybe I'm wrong.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, If I'm wrong, great. Go get them. Go pick them up. ah Phil Cook, the singer, not to be confused with. Joe. Coming back into the problem. He's going he's going to Gloucester Although they are...
Jarrod Dyke: mostly set on midfielders over there so that was a that is a peculiar move Lang as I as I stated before And... Um,
Jarrod Dyke: I think that's... Mostly it for now. midfielders coming oh and then be silly to skip over joe martian martian coming in he's still Only 29, 30 years old. So he's got a little bit.
Jarrod Dyke: Left in the tank and I imagine he's gonna try and use whatever he's got left to try and get on that that squad for England come. Next. next fall so That's a good one like right there. If he gets that 13 shirt in there and they give him space.
Jarrod Dyke: See y 'all later, babe. Really really difficult to deal with so I that's what I hope for him for his sake Ugh. Outside backs, there's plenty of newcomers coming in, starting with those same sales sharks, Logan Amasi.
Jarrod Dyke: um Faisal I mentioned him when I was when Paul and I were having our discussion Werner Koch. He had a, he obviously he had a huge. spiel on that. um But you know foe will he come will he go will he play will he not TBD we don't know if he's in the All right.
Jarrod Dyke: Grab them on your super routine I think you'll be happy with that. Um, and Other than that... In terms of newcomers into the league.
Jarrod Dyke: That's pretty that that is it But... those are still some really exciting options. And I would be. I'd be silly to say that none of them were fancy viable quite a few of them are So, um...
Jarrod Dyke: Let's think about things like... new faces In new places that went across the problem thing guys like Alfie Barbary George Martin. um I think Martin's stock goes up in that case and I think Barbary's goes down because Saracens don't tend didn't tend to pick a 6 -2 very often, although with Venture that might change.
Jarrod Dyke: I'm pretty sure Joe Shaw's. calling a lot of shots now over there too so we'll see if that changes at all If they traditionally go with a 5 -3, it means Barbary is going to be expected to... play a little bit more and or he's going to be pulled faster.
Jarrod Dyke: I would say. You know, they were happy to. had Have them have them on the bench and you might not see him as often Um, Just speculation on that idea. Uh,
Jarrod Dyke: There. So there's that. So that's from Sari's. Thomas Williams. as a scrum half. That should be... but That should be a...
Jarrod Dyke: Even keel for him. I'd say maybe even a slight uptick um Because there are... Although the way Gloucester played by the end there there were definitely looking a little bit better. So maybe there's as much space as Gloucester had by the end at series as there was there. So we'll see.
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah And that's that. um I'd expect Lozowski's playing time to go down. Well, now that he's moved to sale, but... Maybe it goes up. We'll see.
Jarrod Dyke: If it goes up, it's not a good thing for sale. I can say that right now. Um, Yeah. Uh, That's probably it. a ah draw.
Jarrod Dyke: although they'll definitely play them in the back row, but now the the back row's a little clogged now with... the three with him the other two new guys and then you got both curries Um, I think they still have. Yeah, they still have the doug dale and a couple other young guys that they really like so Yeah. I don't know about that one. Um, Thomas Francis, I guess that's technically an incoming prop, but he's not worth a damn in the loose. So don't worry about it. Nikki Smith. john That's a new face in the in the new new place. Same face.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, In the league here Nikki Smith going up to sail. Scourging penalties where's his bugaboo? So I don't know if that changes much at sale. We'll find out Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Sadly not a whole lot doing for the new Saints guys you know they go into a team that can attack and that will attack that has the ability to attack and We'll stay in games and we'll just let things falter. quite as much as Quinn's did last year, so...
Jarrod Dyke: like any of the Hmm. Not so notable guys that are coming into the. to the Saints team that might be That might be something to...
Jarrod Dyke: those Those guys might. we'll probably see an uptick. uh
Jarrod Dyke: for
Jarrod Dyke: Newcastle is a quirk. He'll probably get more playing time I would guess but he's gonna compete with Benitez Cruz who's right now doing a lot of good for Pumas. So I imagine we'll see Quirk quite a bit.
Jarrod Dyke: at least to start the year. Um, Will rig will probably get more playing time um jackson will get baron jackson coming over from saracens he'll probably get more playing time So that's an uptick for them, likely. Graham. same situation we'll probably see more more of the field i uptick i mean A lot of these guys that they've brought in should see more playing time than not. So that is the upside.
Jarrod Dyke: of that move for them. Hopefully they can gel and they can actually put some Proper play together and that'll help them be successful overall. Uh...
Jarrod Dyke: Let's see. yeah Not much. Furbank moving over to Harlequins. As Paul and I know it, he got knocked out of his most recent game, so that's not... Great news for anybody that wanted wanted to hang on to him.
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, slight downgrade for for a bank i think he'll be relied on more but also with him wanting to play for england more there's gonna have to be some england rest that's coming to play Still, he's not currently healthy to even play right now. was as I just mentioned. so Yeah. Um,
Jarrod Dyke: even to maybe a maybe a drop is as my guess on that one. in terms of... production as a fancy asset. Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Let's see. Yeah, Cluster didn't have a lot of incomings from the league. Will Butt going over to XR. Uh... Anybody's guesses who's gonna play 12 because there's no It's mighty to it. There's no icky town. So they're gonna have to find someone new Um,
Jarrod Dyke: I think. Both new boys are currently... banged up so they're looking at possibly having um one of the the young buck that what's his name winbush That they're possibly looking at that for Uh for the 12 shirt just 12 13 shirt possibly to start the year for. for those guys.
Jarrod Dyke: Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Not... I mean, Staten going to from Bath to... Bears might see an uptick in play for him. Um, Yeah. I can hear a couple of Free Jacks hands fans in my ear.
Jarrod Dyke: um From far, far away. Oscar Lennon. Incoming. already been here. Has two guys in front of him. not fantasy viable unless he's starting. And even and then you. Better have a spare spot to...
Jarrod Dyke: Put them in like don't make moves to put them on your roster if you're coming from uh Super root standpoint find someone else If you're in a draft setting, okay, might do you good.
Jarrod Dyke: TBD. And then...
Jarrod Dyke: bath and so bath and dd dan dupree that'll be interesting Yeah, they're Brian and Jamie Barty too, but... We already talked about it over. on the Prem Preview pod.
Jarrod Dyke: Not gonna do much. So don't worry about fancy wise Um... I think he'll... there's a slightly bit bit more openness to bats play, a slight bit.
Jarrod Dyke: They are. very much a confrontational and they want to go forward and try and Go through the wall sometimes but they also know that they need to be able to spin around the wall sometimes so A little bit of this, a little bit of that. so That's my thoughts on that. I think it's a slight uptick for him.
Jarrod Dyke: but also there's a high chance that he gets subbed early. much the same as Barbary because Um, Yoann Van Graan loves. to Run that 6 -2 so that's Gotta be counter to his doubt. to his detriment, unfortunately. Fantasy -wise, at least. Maybe to his health. Not to his health. That actually might do him some good. He might be healthy longer, so...
Jarrod Dyke: that could balance out in the end But so slight upgrade for for Duprier for me and that in where he went Um,
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah looking across okay Yeah, I think... Mickey Smith's probably a little over. priced in Superbrew. There's probably a a number of guys that are there, but he stands out just because he wasn't very good last year.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, Two and a half which is not Super high but considering the low end is one The high end is 5, 4, 4. And that's Gange. when he plays great but it's a lot of money you might there's definitely gonna be some better value elsewhere.
Jarrod Dyke: And don't forget. Friends and Family Superbrew. The price will change depending on... Uh, percentage selected of said player doesn't mean that if they're good it's going to go up and down That's what that used to have an effect on the old trm prices are, if I'm not mistaken.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, But the... But that's not how it works here. It's just... The percentage owned. unless they've changed it this year which would be great but i don't think they have Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Look. There's... You could argue. Over value for a lot of the guys that are Over 4. 4 million on this.
Jarrod Dyke: Maybe not jibbaloo. I really liked him. and I think he should play a lot more So we'll find out. Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Lake at three and a half if you go if he comes good, that's a really good value Molly same thing Uh,
Jarrod Dyke: Let's see what else. Nothing nobody else standing out right right yet Um,
Jarrod Dyke: uh samson edit jamie was is a new import for them from sarah since he moved there last year depending on how the things go for that t -shirt. Might see him in there quite a bit and he's another guy that could turn it into a big value for a low price to start.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, Second rose. They have Laws in the second row, and he plays back he's he might play some back rows. so That gives him value already. Martin, George Martin, same thing. Um...
Jarrod Dyke: they've They've put banner mesh down at four he had kind of a he can't he kind of tailed off at the end So that's that's probably fair actually Um, Duke at three and a half is will be interesting to see if that comes comes out shins at three he'll play some back row too as ah as a lock so and for what weren from what i understand also is Super Bowl are going to try and make multiple. players.
Jarrod Dyke: eligible to be picked at multiple spots. at some point right now that's not the case Although I think in URC... um there's ah they've already done that with one player dubby the scrum half slash wing for gla for Glasgow, yeah.
Jarrod Dyke: Back row. they brought They brought in Jack Morgan pretty high, so they they anticipate him being there. Pepper overvalued at 7 .5, in my opinion. that Because they rotate so much at bath And because he hasn't really done a lot in attack.
Jarrod Dyke: Uh, Doesn't impress me. Wainwright at six and a half is interesting. Not quite. It's on the same level as Chick, but I think he's actually a... better players check not a dissimilar player but still a better player then check. So that's interesting.
Jarrod Dyke: Um, Gonzo at six is pretty good. I'm sorry chicken my rare six and a half not six Um, Gondola 6 is a solid.
Jarrod Dyke: Solid value. Will Evans and Christy yet? Five kind of stands out a little bit Uh,
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah, and there's a bunch there's a bunch of guys down the list that could that could pop up that Didn't get a ton of time last year people are raving about this Kane James guy from Exeter. and Haven't quite seen it yet.
Jarrod Dyke: So maybe it happens. um Spencer and Mitchell. Five each. It's interesting because spencer's most of Spencer's points, or a lot of Spencer's points, were coming off the tee for a while.
Jarrod Dyke: so You got to pick that for that. With that in mind, you got to pick him with that in mind. There we go. That's the one I was thinking of. Good Lord, what's wrong with me? Um... Mitchell's probably gonna get a lot of relief from McFarlane because McFarlane stood up quite well For.
Jarrod Dyke: Northampton last year, so that'll be it. I mean if you pick them both the odds of you getting a starting storm half out of it are are good. You just... kind of just to be tied to whatever happens with Northampton and that might not be the greatest thing.
Jarrod Dyke: depending on how their season goes. Um... Henry Hodgson being four is kind of silly. For me. And I know. I'm. if i'm not mistaken this is charlie's kid i know That.
Jarrod Dyke: the pedigree is there. But hasn't done anything yet. So him earning that is kind of weird. I don't I I don't know Uh. um Anyway. um the fins over at five half yep mark is just a grade below that's correct sterl up to eight okay i like him i liked him i thought he did great i'm not convinced but maybe i'm wrong Um,
Jarrod Dyke: Fergus Burke at six and a half. If if he up. then that's good value. If he doesn't, then bad news. Um, this ah This will be a make or break season for Fergus Bergen series.
Jarrod Dyke: Charlie Atkinson at six. I like that a lot. um They've kept Tom Jordan as a 10 in Super Bowl, but again, they may... Changed it to for him to be eligible as center. as well we'll see we'll see we'll see we'll see
Jarrod Dyke: So I'm on. you know Brett Connan's still at four and a half. If you need a second fly half. Not a bad idea, honestly. Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Revalvo is still a midfielder, but so so he's worth the seven. Slade's only worth the set the the cost if you are going to stick him in as a kicker. Take that for this Let's field.
Jarrod Dyke: really, really rocketed. So he should. That's not a bad value for at six, a Jomo. Seb Atkinson was a little hot and cold, but yep. I'm... Interested to see Will Wand.
Jarrod Dyke: and see how He goes if again if it projects up for him. It's a great value. Anything. Less than that though. It doesn't matter what you you're paying for him. He's just got a he's just not to be as good as you want him to be. Martian at five should be a good value if he plays a lot.
Jarrod Dyke: Will Joseph played a lot the on the wing last year. So that'll be interesting especially since they've Seemingly brought in some I'm infielder, so... That'll be interesting. Um...
Jarrod Dyke: Yeah. ah We might see Louis Sinti at... 13 a lot for Saracens this year and if he played really well there a couple seasons ago, I will say that so possibilities.
Jarrod Dyke: I'll say back slowly. They fixed our cheat code. No, Chloe isn't is nine. So you're gonna have to pick one of these guys and live with it. Really, you're probably going to have to pick with one of the... guys that are eating up.
Jarrod Dyke: Hendy's one of them, too. So that that hurts. hammer web another guy that a lot of people jumped in on because he was going so well at the end of last year. Yeah, not gonna be good Tyler has been Uh... Out. We'll see. You know, he's no longer.
Jarrod Dyke: as as a low value to start. Sad. Oh well. And some guys have come down, but you know if was it started at seven if he plays that's interesting Um,
Jarrod Dyke: It's grow could be good. He's he's just gonna be more consistent, but I like the price cock same thing um You heard. me and Me and Paul talking about him on...
Jarrod Dyke: On the other podcast there. at five, that's a pretty decent value. So I'll give them that. wade same thing he's chasing that try record so that might End up helping you out at that number and then
